  • 29/12/2008 - Lochindorb, Highlands - Unexplained Sounds Incident

Birmingham UFO Group Report Author: Dave Hodrien Originally forwarded by Richard Hall Release Date: 09/02/2011 Ann and Arthur Deans currently live in Sutherland and often enjoy exploring the roads of Scotland in their campervan. Towards the end of 2008 they were parked alongside the loch known as Lochindorb in the Highlands when they had an unusual experience during which an unidentifiable sound was heard numerous times, a sound that they believe may have come from a UFO. Incident Details It was late evening on the 29th December 2008. Ann , Arthur and their son were out in the campervan and had decided to stop for the night in a small parking area alongside the loch. The parking area is sheltered on three sides, with the loch to the West, and moorland across the other side of the road to the East. There are no campsites anywhere nearby so they were completely alone. There is a lodge but it is about 2km further down the loch to the south. It is quite a desolate area, especially in winter time, and there were no other people around or other cars on the road. As it is so peaceful it is easy to hear the sound of other vehicles approaching. Map showing the location of the parking area alongside the loch: 📷 Photograph of the parking area: 📷 The view of Lochindorb from the parking area: 📷 It was a calm, still night but was quite cold and frosty. Ann and Arthur were staying up late to work on a cryptic crossword, while their son slept alongside them. It was about midnight when Ann first realised something was amiss. She suddenly heard the flapping wings of a flock of birds in the distance over the moor to the East. Their behaviour seemed unusual like they had been suddenly disturbed by something. This immediately made her feel uneasy. Ann later found out that Arthur did not notice the sound of the birds. It is possible he was too engrossed in what they were doing to take notice. The view of the moorland from the parking area: 📷 A short while after this, the couple heard the strange noise for the first time. It sounded like a whirring sound with a rhythmic pulsing to it. It appeared to be coming from 50-100 yards away from the campervan out over the moorland, possibly up in the air. Ann says the sound reminded her of the noise made by a children’s toy known as a Howling Tube. It is a long plastic corrugated tube which makes a noise when it is swung round in circles. But this definitely wasn’t the cause of what they were hearing, as it was much louder, and there would have been no reason at all for someone to have been standing out on the moor with one of these in the middle of the night. At the same time as the whirring sound, Ann heard the noise of an animal of some kind growling in distress from the same direction. As with the birds, Arthur did not seem to notice this, though he certainly heard the unrecognisable sound. It continued for between 15-30 seconds and then suddenly stopped. Ann was already on edge because of the flock of birds, and as soon as she heard the strange sound she became very worried indeed. She immediately asked Arthur “Did you hear that? Did you hear that?” to which he responded that he had. Ann was frightened by the sound as it did not sound like a known aircraft or vehicle of any kind. It felt completely out of place given the situation. After a couple of minutes the noise began again. It seemed to last for about the same length of time and again seemed to be over the moor. Ann felt they were in danger of some kind and she was extremely alert to the sound. Usually she and Arthur would investigate any strange noises heard, this would of course be the logical thing to do. But on this occasion Ann felt instinctively that they should not try to engage with it in any way, not even by looking out of the campervan windows. She specifically asked Arthur not to do this and he complied with her wishes. Over the next 30-45 minutes the couple heard the noise several more times. The time between it occurring varied and seemed to have no pattern to it, but each time it would generally last for about the same number of seconds before falling silent again. Then suddenly without warning the noise started again, but this time was much louder and closer to the campervan, perhaps even directly overhead! Ann was absolutely terrified and sensed that something very bad was going to happen. But once again the noise ceased. Ann was extremely unhappy about the situation so after 15-30 minutes (during which the sound was not heard), the couple decided to leave the area. They drove to a lay-by on the outskirts of Grantown-On-Spey. The rest of the night passed without incident. Map showing the location of the Lochindorb parking area (A) and outskirts of Grantown-on-Spey (B): 📷 Soon after their experience, the couple bought a local newspaper known as the Strathspey & Badenoch Herald. It featured an article reporting that another man had seen an unexplained orange light in the sky over the same area of Scotland on the same night at 10pm. Other than the rough location there is nothing really to link the sighting to their own, the witness did not report it making similar sounds to what they had heard, but in February 2009 they decided to write into the newspaper with their story. A month later they wrote a follow up letter in response to a sceptical letter someone had sent in. Newspaper Letters Below is the initial letter which Ann and Arthur sent in to the Strathspey & Badenoch Herald, the sceptical letter which was sent in by someone in response to their letter, a related letter by someone else, and Ann and Arthur's reply letter: 4th February 2009 Link - http://www.strathspey-herald.co.uk/news/fullstory.php/aid/3859/Fright_night_by_the_loch.html Fright night by the loch Sir, – We are writing to you regarding your recent reports in the "Strathspey and Badenoch Herald" on UFO sightings. On the night of December 29 we were at Lochindorb in our campervan. We fled in the early hours of the morning due to strange noises that we found disturbing. It was a calm, frosty night with no wind but we could clearly hear something moving through the air. Sometimes the noise was close by and at other times it was more distant. The noise was not continuous and made a whirring/whistling sound. It did not sound like any bird, plane or helicopter. Each time the noise occurred, the birds would go crazy and an animal nearby also sounded disturbed. It was making a growling sound. Although the noises were brief and happened over about an hour, it was enough to unsettle us. We have visited Lochindorb many times in the past and we have visited since. But we have never experienced strange noises like that night. It was eerie. Whilst we were at Lochindorb we were not aware of vehicles or people being around at that particular time. When my husband drove off, he saw nothing that could account for the noises. Whatever it was, it was totally alien to the environment and it frightened me. We felt it was important to relate our experience after reading about others. We cannot rationally explain the noises. Could it be a UFO? – Yours etc, ANNE and ARTHUR DEANS, Aberdeen. UFOs? don't think so Sir, - With reference to "Fright Night at Lochindorb" we visited the loch with friends on January 2 to find it frozen over. It was late afternoon on a beautifully sunny day, clear sky, very cold with no wind, and when we stopped to take photographs the silence was broken by a strange low murmuring, almost howling noise which was very difficult to describe. It was quite eerie even in broad daylight. I am sure that there is a scientific explanation. Something to do with large expanse of ice vibrating slightly due to the air trapped between the water surface and the ice thereby creating a loudspeaker effect. There are a few references to ice murmuring on the web, with recorded sounds, but I have yet to find a clear explanation. I have an open mind on the subject but there were definately no UFOs in view! - Yours etc, ALEX MURRAY 'Ice' bit of advice Sir, - Re the recent correspondance in the Strathy on 'Noises at Lochindorb' - just Google (or whatever search engine you prefer) "lake ice noises". This produces many pages including some with video and sound from several North American lakes. - Yours etc, JIM FRANKS 11th March 2009 http://www.strathspey-herald.co.uk/news/fullstory.php/aid/3983/Perhaps_it_s__Close_Encounters_of_the_Closed_Mind__for_some.html Perhaps it's "Close Encounters of the Closed Mind" for some Sir, - In reply to Mr Murray's letter "UFOs? Don't think so" (February 11), we have been to Lochindorb on a number of occasions when the loch was frozen and breaking up. The noises from the ice were very eerie and almost musical. But we would like to state that the noises we heard came from the sky and not the loch. This was clearly a different noise altogether from what we have heard at the loch. We would also be the first people to look for a rational and logical answer to all that has been reported in the "Strathy" recently. Although Mr Murray did not encounter UFOs on his visit to Lochindorb on January 2 that proves nothing. Open minded - I think not. More a case of "Close Encounters of the Closed Mind". Yours etc, ANN and ARTHUR DEANS, Aberdeen. Incident Analysis The repeating sound that the couple heard was very unusual indeed, especially considering the remoteness of the area and the time of night that it occurred. There was nobody else around and it was a cold night so it is unlikely there was someone out there engaging in some unusual activity which could have caused the sounds. It could not have been an aircraft such as a helicopter or microlite as if this were the case the noise would have not stopped and started at random, it would have been continuous. The description of the noise does not sound anything like a jet afterburner firing so I doubt that this was the cause either. The fact that the sound suddenly appeared much closer and up in the air outside the campervan, and was not just in a single location, tends to rule out the idea that it was some unusual construction or farm machinery. It was the middle of the night, so it is very unlikely that any machinery would have been in use in the first place. It was a still night, so the sounds could not have been caused by something being caught in sudden gusts of wind. Ann’s reaction to the sounds may seem unusual to some, but considering the fact that the family were out there on their own with no-one else around to aid them in any way, they are certainly justified. Arthur was less frightened by the sounds but respected Ann’s wishes and did not try to discover what their source were. It appears that whoever wrote the response letter to Ann and Arthur’s initial letter suggested that the noises could have been caused by ice cracking on the loch. As you can see from the couple’s reply they had actually experienced this on numerous occasions and so knew exactly what this sounded like. Also the noises were coming from the moorland side of the campervan not the loch, so this explanation can also be ruled out. It is certainly a possibility that the noises were coming from a UFO, although the couple had no visual confirmation of this at any point. However if this was the case then this could explain why nearby animals appeared so agitated, and also why the couple have not experienced the sounds either before or since the incident. If you know of anyone who could shed some light on what the sounds may have been please get in touch. Copyright Dave Hodrien 2011

  • 28/01/2011 - Barrowford - Orange Orbs Sighting

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Originally forwarded by Richard Hall Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 18/02/2011 Sighting Details On the evening of 28th January 2011, Andrew Crossley was out walking his dog in his home town of Barrowford. It was a clear and still night but was very cold. The stars and moon were fully visible. It was 9.25pm and he had just reached the junction between Bedford Street and Richmond Street. He turned around to momentarily glance behind him, and was surprised to see two bright orange glowing orbs of light in the sky. It was hard to judge how high they were but did not appear to be at low altitude. It was also too hard to tell exactly how far away and therefore how large they were. Aerial map showing approximate position the witness was at: 📷 The objects appeared to be following alongside one another, at most 50 yards apart. They were travelling in a South Westerly direction. Andrew thought that they may be Chinese lanterns, however unlike lanterns he had seen on previous occasions they did not appear to be flickering. They travelled over the roofs of the houses and then out over fields on the outskirts of the town. Photograph of the sighting location in the direction the objects were seen: 📷 Andrew watched the objects for 2-3 minutes. He was both confused and mesmerised by the objects. They were travelling towards Pendle Hill when suddenly they appeared to split and head off in different directions extremely fast. They were only visible for several seconds before they went out of sight. The speed which they moved at seemed much too fast for the objects to have been lanterns, and they looked like they were under direct control. Sighting Analysis Many aspects of this sighting do suggest that the objects were probably Chinese lanterns. These appear as round orange orbs of light at a distance just as the witness describes. Although the do often noticeably flicker in brightness, sometimes they can appear constantly bright. The fact that the objects were both moving across the sky on a straight course one after the other fits in with lanterns caught in an air current. The way in which the objects headed off in different directions suddenly and apparently at very fast speed is an interesting aspect of this case, and could suggest that they were something much more unusual. However it is possible for lanterns to get caught in two different air currents and veer off in different directions. As the witness could not tell how far away they were, he had no way of knowing exactly how fast they were moving. Perhaps they were a lot closer and moving much slower than they appeared to be. There is even a chance that they went out which could have given the illusion that they shot away at speed. Considering the evidence available I feel that the most likely explanation for this sighting was Chinese lanterns, although this is not a definite. Copyright Dave Hodrien 2011

  • 12/09/2004 - Andover - Flying Triangles Formation Sighting

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Originally forwarded by Richard Hall Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 28/02/2011 Flying Triangle craft are one of the more regularly reported UFO types, especially over the last decade. In the majority of cases these craft are seen individually rather than in multiples. However this report covers an impressive sighting of a formation of eight triangular UFOs seen over Andover in Hampshire back in 2004. Sighting Details Graham (name changed for privacy reasons) would often wake up early in the morning to let the dog out into the back garden of his house on Camelot Close. The morning of 12th September was no different. It was 5am, and was still dark outside. It was a clear morning and the stars were fully visible, though the glow of the morning sun could just be seen at the horizon. Aerial map of Camelot Close: 📷 He looked up and noticed two satellites moving across the sky side by side. He had seen satellites on many occasions before but never two at once. His attention was then drawn to red flashing light towards the West coming over the top of the houses. He realised this light was coming from an object about 500 metres in altitude. When he initially spotted the object it was at an angle of about 30 degrees. It was moving on a straight and level course to the East and appeared to be under direct control. The object was moving quite slowly, between 20-30 mph. As the object got closer Graham realised it was something very unusual indeed. It appeared to be a flattened triangular shaped object. The main body of the object appeared to be transparent, as if it had some kind of cloaking camouflage enabled. Along each side were eight red lights that were flashing in a repeating sequence. It looked to be between 15-20 metres across and several metres in depth. The object flew past his location slightly to the north, roughly 500-1000 metres from his position. As it passed he could then make out what appeared to be two square purple-red coloured lights on the rear of the object. These were not as bright as the side lights and did not flash at all. Graham was trying to work out what he was looking at when he noticed that there was a second object directly below the first. It appeared to be flying in formation with the other object. This lower object appeared to be about 200 metres high. He watched in amazement and fear as a second pair of identical objects appeared over the rooftops, roughly 300 metres behind the first pair. This was repeated two more times. Each time the pair of objects flew past him heading Eastward. They were all completely silent, and all flew in identical formations. Graham noted that his pet dog seemed oblivious to the objects and did not react to them. In total the sighting lasted for 3 minutes. He was completely shocked and frightened as he realised that there was no rational explanation for what he was witnessing. The objects looked nothing like known military or commercial aircraft, but they certainly appeared to be advanced craft of some kind. Unfortunately Graham did not capture the objects on film, he was too transfixed watching them to run inside the house and grab his camera. Shortly after the last pair of objects had vanished from sight, Graham heard a high altitude plane moving in from the South. This confirmed to him that the triangular objects had been silent. In the days following the sighting Graham asked around but nobody else appeared to have seen the objects. He did report the sighting to the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC), however he was unhappy that they appeared to have changed his words to include white lighting on the objects as well as red. He got in touch and asked them to correct this but they never did. Below is a link to the report he sent in to them: http://www.nuforc.org/webreports/039/S39273.html Because they did not correct his report details, he lost faith in speaking about his experience on the net. It was only when he checked out Richard Hall’s website that he decided to get in touch. Sighting Analysis This is a highly impressive incident which I feel more than likely a genuine sighting of advanced craft flying in formation, probably of extraterrestrial origin. They were clearly not normal aircraft, the lighting configuration on them was extremely unusual, and they appeared to have some kind of cloaking field enabled which made everything but the lights on them invisible. There is a possibility that they were not invisible but were just the same colour as the night sky giving the impression that they were transparent. If they were using some kind of camouflage, what would be the reason for this if the lights were still visible anyway? Also remember that the objects were also completely silent, normal aircraft or helicopters would definitely have been audible at the low altitude the objects were flying at. The fact that the objects were not only moving on the same path but flew in pairs, equally spaced out, is I feel sufficient proof that the objects were under control and flying in formation rather than just drifting on air currents. If just one pair of objects were seen then this could be questionable, but it is extremely unlikely that four pairs of objects would all drift in exactly the same manner at exactly the same speed. Therefore electronically lit inflatables is not a sufficient explanation for what was seen. Could they have been top secret military craft on an early morning flight exercise? This seems very unlikely – if such craft did exist it would make no sense at all for them to be flown over populated areas, even in the early hours of the morning. On the other hand, if the objects were extraterrestrial, they may well not care where they fly and who witnesses them. There are many many UFO sightings over highly populated locations which support this theory. It is very unlikely that the objects were eight radio controlled models being flown on purpose as a hoax. If this were the case there would be no reason for them to be flown so early in the morning where there would be no guarantee anyone would see them. As far as Graham is aware, he is the only one who saw the objects (at least the only one who reported them), and he only saw them because he was putting out his pet dog. If the objects had some kind of cloaking enabled, this obviously puts models out of the question. I feel the most probable explanation is that the objects were ET craft commonly referred to as Flying Triangles. Although a lot of the time these craft have a corner light and central light underneath, there are many other sightings reporting different lighting configurations. I have personally investigated cases where craft of this type have been seen with small lights along both sides, and also cases where rear lights have been seen. I have also investigated a number of cases where these craft have been either fully or semi-transparent, similar to how the witness describes. And one case I looked into involved a sighting of two triangular craft flying in formation with each other. So many of the elements that make up this incident have been seen and reported before, making it all the more probable to be genuine. The witness strikes me as very believable, especially regarding how he acted in the days following the sighting. He is not out to gain anything through sharing his experience and I have no reason at all to doubt him about what he saw. This is a truly stunning sighting and one which certainly deserves answers. Were these craft invisible to radar, or was this formation picked up by local radar stations and subsequently covered up? What were the objects doing over Andover that morning? Where were they heading? What was their agenda? Is there someone out there who knows the answers to these questions? Copyright Dave Hodrien 2011

  • 1978/79 - Abridge, Essex - Flying Triangle Sighting

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Originally forwarded by Richard Hall Release Date: 28/02/2011 Flying Triangles are one of the more commonly reported UFO types. This case is one of many that show that black triangular shaped UFOs have been seen over the UK for many years. For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used Sighting Details It was early evening on a day in 1978 or 1979. James and his cousin Martin were on their way home to Abridge in Essex in Martin’s car. It was a dry evening with a clear sky. Suddenly to the West of them about 400 yards away they spotted an unusual object in the sky. It looked like a large black triangular shaped craft. It appeared to be at least 100 feet across. There was no visible lighting anywhere on it. It was about 500 feet in altitude. The object was moving very slowly on a straight course. James estimates it was moving about 10-20 mph. Martin pulled over to the side of the road and stopped the car. They both watched the object in amazement for several minutes. As he watched James thought to himself “Where’s the noise and why doesn’t it fall out of the sky going that slow?” He was extremely puzzled by the experience. James told his cousin that if they told anyone about the incident they would be laughed out of every pub they went to. Martin agreed and they decided that they would keep what they saw to themselves. It is a shame that the public can be so un-accepting of this subject – I have no doubt there are many impressive sightings that are never known about because of the ridicule factor. In 2009 James asked Martin if he remembered what had happened and Martin informed him that he still remembered the sighting clearly. Unfortunately so far James has not got back to me with further information so I have no further details, or have any idea of how the sighting ended. Sighting Analysis From the information provided by James, I feel that this was probably a genuine sighting of a Flying Triangle craft. It seems too large to have been an inflatable, kite or radio controlled model of some kind. It was moving too slowly to have been misidentification of a military aircraft such as the stealth bomber, and we must take into account that the object was completely silent. Its appearance, movement and lack of sound all fit with it being a Flying Triangle. In many FT sightings the craft are seen to have corner lights and a large central red or white light underneath. However I have looked into a number of cases where no lighting was seen. Perhaps the craft had lights but they were switched off for whatever reason. Considering the fact it was not dark, there may well have been other witnesses. James has not informed me how busy the road they were on was at the time. I hope to receive further information on this sighting soon. Copyright Dave Hodrien 2011

  • 1985/86 - Leicester - White Elongated UFO Sighting

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Originally forwarded by Richard Hall Release Date: 28/02/2011 Many UFO sightings tend to be of particular craft types that are seen time and time again – saucers, silver spheres, flying triangles etc. However sometimes very odd aerial objects are reported that do not seem to fit into any of these common categories. This report covers one such sighting which occurred in Leicester back in the mid 80s. For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used Sighting Details The incident took place in either 1985 or 1986. The witness, John, was only about 9 years old at the time, and his younger brother Antony was 7. One clear sunny day they were playing in the back garden f their house when they suddenly noticed a light in the sky. They went round to the front garden to get a better look at whatever it was. They saw a strange object in the sky. It looked like a glowing white vertical line which was gradually expanding and then contracting in length continuously. It appeared to be quite large in size, about the same size as a football pitch. It was about 400 feet in the air and to John’s recollection about 200 feet from their position. As it was expanding and contracting it was also moving slowly across the sky on a straight path. They watched the object for about 2 minutes during which he believes the object flew right over their heads. It was not moving particularly fast, perhaps the same speed a small aircraft moves at. After this time they ran inside the house to get their gran, who was on the settee in the living room. She came outside with them and they all watched it fly over a block of flats. Then their gran took them both back indoors, and the incident was never mentioned again. I have contacted the witness to request for further details and to see if I can speak with his brother about the experience, but so far have not heard back from him, so this is all the details that exist on the sighting so far. Sighting Analysis From what has been reported, the object sounds like it could well have been something out of the ordinary. However I do wonder if it was a white un-tethered solar airship. These are long plastic cylinders that are filled with air. On a hot day the air inside them heats up and they drift up into the air. They can be very large in size, and it is possible to make them by joining together numerous bin liners. Often these objects tip up vertically and appear as a long cylinder or cigar-shaped object hanging in the sky. Could the odd way in which the object appeared to be expanding and contracting in length have actually been caused by a white coloured solar airship rocking back and forth in an air current? If viewed from a certain angle this could give the impression that it was getting longer and shorter. That said, solar airships have only really become popular in recent years, I am not sure whether they were even known about back in the mid 80s. Bought solar airships tend to be black in colour to soak up as much heat as possible. It could have been a home-made one created from white bin liners, however these do tend to bend like a snake rather than retain a completely straight shape. Therefore I wouldn’t say that this sighting could definitely be explained away as a solar airship. If it wasn’t one of these, I cannot really suggest anything else mundane which could explain what was observed. It certainly did not look like any known conventional aircraft. If it was an inflatable of some kind drifting in an air current it is unlikely that it would have appeared to continuously expand and contract in length, it would have surely rotated or rolled on its axis. As it was witnessed by John’s gran, it is obvious that it was not just their imagination. Therefore we must entertain the notion that it was an advanced craft of some kind displaying a shape-changing ability. I have both heard of and directly investigated numerous UFO sightings where the objects have been seen to physically change shape. It is possible that this was one such object. As to the reason why it was changing shape, we can only speculate. Copyright Dave Hodrien 2011

  • Winter 1991 - Bickerton Hills - Glowing White & Red UFOs Sighting

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Originally forwarded by Richard Hall Release Date: 09/03/2011 On a cold frosty night in the winter of 1991, a couple observed some strange unexplainable glowing lights while out walking in the Bickerton Hills. One of these witnesses still clearly remembers what took place and has now finally decided to share his story. For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used Sighting Details Gary and Sandra, his girlfriend at the time, would sometimes go out walking after dark in the Bickerton Hills near to where they lived. On the night of the incident it was cold but a very clear night with the stars visible in the sky and moonlight to guide their way. It was 2.30am and the couple were approaching a farmers field. Unfortunately Gary cannot remember the exact location where the field was situated, but is currently trying to work it out. It was extremely quiet and due to the time there was no-one else around. As they got to about 30-35 metres from the edge of the field, a glowing orb of white light suddenly appeared in front of them in the darkness. It appeared to be over the field about 60-90 metres from their position, and about 7 feet off the ground. This white light appeared to be spinning round in a circular motion. Both witnesses were immediately puzzled by the light. Gary’s mind quickly came up with an explanation for what he was seeing – he assumed it was someone standing in the middle of the field holding a torch and quickly spinning round in circles. But he soon realised what a ridiculous notion this was and thought to himself “Who the hell would be out at this time spinning in the cold holding a torch!?” Sandra became quite frightened by the light as she could not rationalise what was happening. She went and hid inside a bush. But Gary was more inquisitive to what it was and began walking towards the field on his own. As he got closer he suddenly felt an overwhelming desire to approach the light. Gary says it “felt like his whole nervous system had been triggered”. It felt like electrical energy surging through his body, which had the side effect of making him feel ually aroused. He continued to approach it, with Sandra calling for him to return to her. He then realised the light was actually travelling around the perimeter of the field. It looked like a floating ball of glowing light, about the size of a basketball. It was completely silent and was moving too fast for it to have been someone holding it. This was confirmed as he neared the field, he could see that there was nobody there, just the glowing orb of light. A dog in a nearby farmhouse began to bark. There was no easy access onto the field as it was surrounded by hawthorn hedges. As it was winter time the hedges were bare. So even when the light went behind the hedges he could still see it through them. After about 10-15 seconds the light suddenly vanished. The electrical feeling inside him seemed to die down, but did not completely go. Gary continued to approach the field. A few seconds later another object suddenly appeared about 15-20 fet in front of him. It seemed to come up out of the ground very fast and gracefully. Unlike the initial light, this object had more of a structure to it. It reminded Gary of the back of a dodgem car. It had two red lights separated by some kind of structure. It was not exactly horizontal and appeared to be at a slight angle. It looked to be about a metre in length. The object was emitting a low humming sound. It moved up to about 4-6 feet then immediately descended back down and vanished behind a small mound in front of him. If nobody else had shown up Gary may have gone and taken a closer look at where the objects had appeared. But he then noticed a land rover in the distance which was driving in his direction. This could have just been a local farmer, but Gary was scared that its appearance was directly related to what he had just witnessed. He returned to Sandra and they got out of there. This bizarre experience really affected Gary in the years following, and he became very interested in the UFO subject because of what he had seen. Sandra on the other hand chose to ignore what had happened and put it behind her. Unlike Gary, she had been extremely frightened of the glowing light, and did not witness the 2nd object at all. On numerous occasions since the incident Gary has contacted Sandra to ask for a statement from her about the experience, but she tells him to grow up and refuses to comment on what happened. Therefore I am not able to get in touch with her to ask for her side of the story. Sighting Analysis This is a truly fascinating encounter which has many interesting and unusual aspects to it. Neither of the objects that were witnessed by Gary appear to have a mundane explanation. He got close enough to the initial object to see that there was nobody running around holding it or driving around on any vehicle or machinery. It appeared to be a free floating white orb of energy or light. Even if you feel that Gary could have been mistaken on this, it was still moving too fast for it to have been one of these things, and was completely silent so could not have been a vehicle such as a motorbike driving around the field in circles. Sound travels far at night and Gary got sufficiently close to the field to have heard any sounds coming from the light if there were any. Plus given the circumstances and time of night it would be completely illogical for someone to have been running or driving round the field in the first place. The electrically charged feeling that Gary felt through him and the strong compulsion to approach the light appear to be directly related to it. They were much more than just an interest in finding out what the object was. These feelings have both been reported before many times by individuals who have witnessed UFOs at close range. The feeling of electricity could have been due to an energy field being emitted from the object. The compulsion to approach it appears have been direct interaction between the intelligence behind the object and the witness. Obviously if the object was something mundane the witness would not have experienced these feelings, another reason why I feel the object was out of the ordinary. If it was a solid glowing object of extraterrestrial origin, it was quite small so was probably unmanned. Perhaps it was a scouting device of some kind, like the Foo Fighters of World War II. Or perhaps it was not solid but was a ball of energy which had a consciousness behind it. The second object that Gary witnessed is just as intriguing. The fact that it appeared several seconds after the other object vanished certainly suggests that they were related. Its appearance was very unusual indeed, and it does not sound like any conventional machinery. I suggested to Gary that it may have been the rear lights of a car in the distance moving up into view and then back down over a hill. However Gary assured me that the object was quite close to his location and down near the ground. This was confirmed as soon afterwards he saw the Land Rover in the distance, and was aware that the objects he had seen were both much nearer. If the object was mundane farming machinery of some kind then it would not have moved by itself in the middle of the night – the object clearly shot up into view then moved back down. Perhaps it was interacting with Gary in some way, such as scanning or observing him, and once it had performed this it then left the area. This is just a theory, but one worth considering. We will never know if the Land Rover was approaching because of what Gary witnessed. Maybe the owner of the field had noticed the lights and was coming to see what was going on. Or it could have been completely unrelated. Some of the aspects of this case bear striking similarities to the incident which occurred at Bletchley on 30th December 2008. In this case the witness felt he was being drawn towards a particular location out on farmer’s fields on the outskirts of town. Again it was a cold and frosty night. Again he saw anomalous glowing white and red lights low down over the field, including what appeared to be a glowing bar shaped object with a red light at each end which moved very fast into view and then vanished again. This experience later led to the man and his son being abducted. There is no evidence that Gary was taken during his experience, but the similarities are easy to see. The Bletchley case is one of the first contact cases I investigated (see seperate case report). Copyright Dave Hodrien 2011

  • June 1991 - Blackmill, South Wales - Glowing Spherical UFO Sighting

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Originally forwarded by Richard Hall Release Date: 10/03/2011 This report covers a fascinating multiple witness sighting of a spherical UFO that was seen in near the town of Blackmill, Bridgend, South Wales in the summer of 1991. Both the appearance and movement of the object are very impressive indeed. Sighting Details It was 6.30pm on an evening in June 1991. It was a warm and clear evening and due to the time of year was still light in the sky. John, his wife and two friends were out driving on their way to a local Indian restaurant near to Blackmill. They were driving along the A4903 and heading down a shallow hill. In front of them to the South East was a farmer’s field. Photograph of the sighting location in the direction the car was driving in: 📷 Suddenly they became aware of a very bright glowing object over the field, about 200 metres away from their position. It appeared to be about 150-200 feet in the air. It was clearly down quite low as the field could be seen sloping up behind it. It looked like an extremely bright shimmering silver sphere. John compares the light to that from an arc welding torch. The object appeared to be quite small in size. John exclaimed “Fucking hell, what is that?!” which drew everyone else’s attention to it. Aerial map showing the position of the witnesses and the position of the UFO over the field: 📷 The sphere was stationary over the field but appeared to be wobbling back and forth. It looked like a floating ball of mercury. All the witnesses watched the object for about 20 seconds as they drove down the hill towards it. Then suddenly without warning it shot away in a South Westerly direction extremely fast. It was gone from the area in just a second. The acceleration was breathtaking and far in advance of any known aircraft. The witnesses could barely believe what they had all just seen. They arrived at the restaurant but were quiet for the rest of the evening, they were all in a state of shock. They have never spoken about the experience since. John says that before the incident he never believed in UFOs but could not dismiss what he had seen that evening, and remembers it very clearly to this day. Sighting Analysis This is a truly stunning sighting and one which is hard to dismiss or explain using mundane explanations. Due to the fact that the object was initially stationary and then suddenly accelerated and shot away at hundreds of miles an hour, it cannot have been anything man-made such as a helicopter, hot air balloon, Chinese lantern or lit inflatable. It could not have been a distant aircraft such as a military jet approaching and then turning and flying away, as it was definitely down over the field, the hill was visible behind it. Also the shape of the jet would have been seen when it flew away to the South even if it could have been initially obscured by the light. I am convinced that this object was a genuine advanced craft, probably of extraterrestrial origin. The manoeuvring capabilities exhibited were far in advance of anything currently owned by the military, yet have been seen many times before in other UFO incidents, including some I have personally investigated. The object appeared to be spherical in shape and was either emitting its own light, or had very bright lights on it. The fact it was wobbling as it hovered is extremely interesting, and is again something which has been reported many times before. It has been theorised that this wobbling motion often seen may well be due to the anti gravity energy field surrounding it, and that the object itself is not wobbling but looks like it from the outside, similar to a mirage. The reaction of the witnesses to seeing the UFO is unsurprising. They had all just seen something which they could not rationally explain, which left them all in a deep sense of shock. After such an experience many choose to ignore it and try to pretend it did not happen, as it is so outside the realms of normality for them. It is great that John chose to look more into what the object could have been. If he had not done this then it is unlikely we would have ever found out about this stunning incident. • Summer 2005 - Hockley Heath - Glowing Oval-Shaped UFO Sighting

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Originally forwarded by Richard Hall Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 23/03/2011 On 15th March 2011, Richard Tomes gave details via Richard Hall’s website regarding a fascinating UFO sighting he and his girlfriend had back in 2005. As I investigate cases reported via this site, the details were forwarded to me. It turned out that Richard lived quite close to myself, so on Sunday 20th March I met up with him directly to interview him about what he saw. This report covers the incident in depth. Sighting Details It was an evening in the summer of 2005. Richard and his girlfriend Emma had been out for the day and were just on their way home. It was about 5pm and they were on the Stratford Road just south of Hockley Heath. They were approaching the M40 motorway and were stuck in a traffic jam on a shallow hill. There were trees either side of the road, but they still had a good view to the sky to the North. It was an overcast evening and the sun was just starting to set. Aerial map indicating the approximate location the witnesses were: 📷 Photograph of the sighting location: 📷 Suddenly Richard noticed a glowing object to the North which appeared to be over Hockley Heath. He pointed it out to Emma. The object was a fat oval shape and appeared to be completely luminescent. It was glowing a very bright white but with a slight green-yellow tinge to it. It had clearly defined crisp edges to it. The object was hovering completely motionless. It appeared to be between 200-300 feet high. Richard estimates it was about 30 feet in width but this was hard to judge. Initially Richard thought he must be seeing the planet Venus in the evening sky. However he soon realised that it could not be this for a number of reasons. It appeared much brighter and larger than a star. It was not completely round in shape. Also it was clearly hovering in the atmosphere as there was total cloud cover and the clouds could be seen behind and above it. Both Richard and Emma were completely mystified by the object. It appeared much too still to be a helicopter. Richard was also certain that it was a solid object and not a searchlight bouncing off the base of the clouds. They wondered if other people in the traffic jam were also looking at it. They watched the object for about 2 minutes, during which the traffic had not moved. For this period of time the UFO had not moved at all. Then suddenly without warning it shot away at an incredible speed to the South West West. The acceleration was instantaneous and within a second the object had completely vanished from sight! Richard and Emma were completely shocked by what they had just witnessed. They immediately realised that this manoeuvre was much too fast to have been a normal aircraft of any kind. Richard felt that it must have been an extraterrestrial craft, as nothing we have could fly at the speed they had just seen the object perform. The couple continued their journey home, discussing the object. Witness drawing giving an overview of the sighting: 📷 In the days following the sighting Richard checked newspapers to see if anyone else had reported it but there was no mention of it anywhere. He feels that others may well have also seen the UFO. Sighting Analysis This is a stunning sighting, especially due to the manoeuvre the object performed from a stationary position. This manoeuvre meant that the object could not have been a lit inflatable, model or normal aircraft. As it was stationary for two minutes before suddenly leaving the area, it could not have been a meteorite. I would have suggested the possibility that it was a searchlight or laser light from somewhere reflecting off the clouds. However both Richard and Emma are adamant that it was a solid brightly glowing object and not just a flat circle of reflected light. Also Richard says there are no buildings in Hockley Heath, such as night clubs, which have a light of this kind on them. It is certainly nowhere near any military bases. I feel that this was more than likely a genuine sighting of an extraterrestrial craft. It is unlikely to have been a secret military aircraft, I find it highly improbable that even in secret they are test flying something which can perform such movements and speeds, and even if they are there would be no reason for them to fly it over a populated town, this would make no sense at all. UFOs have been seen to perform impressive manoeuvres similar to what Richard and Emma witnessed many times before, I have investigated quite a few of these incidents. Manoeuvres such as these are evidence that these craft are not influenced by our normal gravitational laws. UFOs are often seen to glow brightly after dark. Many believe that it is the field around the craft which causes it to glow in this way – could this be what Richard and Emma observed at the time? Copyright Dave Hodrien 2011

  • Surrey Contact Case - Greys, Abduction, Missing Time, UFO Sightings, MIB

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 06/04/2011 Introduction Robert Campbell lives in the city of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. For most of his life he had not experienced anything out of the ordinary. However in 2005 that was all about to change when he began to witness numerous sightings of a silver coloured UFO. This culminated in an abduction experience which has since changed his life in various ways. This report will cover Robert’s experiences in detail, and includes numerous drawings he has sent to me. Silver Craft Encounters On the night of 5th May 2005, Robert was in his bedroom in his house on 141a St, Surrey. The time was between 11pm-2am. He was about to watch a couple of movies he had rented out for the night. Suddenly he heard some noise coming from across the street. He decided to go to the window to see what was going on. Aerial map of 141a Street: 📷 It was a clear warm night, with the stars visible in the sky above. There was no-one else around outside and he could not see whatever was responsible for the noise, it was coming from inside the neighbours house. He was looking to the East when he noticed something unusual out of the corner of his eye. There was a triangular shaped object in the sky in the distance, at least a couple of miles away from his position. It had a slight curve to the top. It was silver in colour with no visible markings or lights. It was reflecting the moonlight/street lights which is why it was visible in the night sky. It appeared to be moving slowly in his direction. Robert estimates it was between 500-1500 feet high. Drawing based on witness description of the shape of the UFO (from directly beneath): 📷 Almost immediately after noticing the object, it massively increased in speed and moved towards his position. It then came to an abrupt halt very close to the house, but still high up above him. It performed this manoeuvre in only a second or two. Robert estimates it moved at up to 1500 mph. When he realised the object had approached him on purpose he felt a little frightened, but was still very curious as to what was going to happen next. Now the object was closer he noticed that it seemed to distort the air around it, almost like waves/ripples around its surface. It appeared to be between 300-350 feet in length. Due to its appearance and the movement it had just made Robert felt certain that it was an extraterrestrial craft. After about 3-4 seconds the object suddenly shot away at an even faster speed than it had approached, it was gone in the blink of an eye. Robert was amazed at what he had just seen. He wondered why the object had seemingly flown towards him, had it been directly observing him before leaving the area? This would turn out to be the first of many sightings of this UFO. He saw it a total of 13 times over the following two months! He saw it mostly after dark on clear nights but also a couple of times during the daytime when it was overcast. The majority of the time it would appear to him when he was on his own, but on a couple of occasions he was with his friend. On both occasions his friend also saw the UFO and was shocked. I hope to speak with him directly soon to hear his views on what took place. The UFO would always appear in the same way, starting at a distance then flying close to him before hovering and then vanishing between 1-4 seconds later. It appeared to be regularly checking up on him. Even though he kept seeing the craft time and time again he did not capture it on film as he did not own a camera at the time, and did not really think to purchase one and try to photograph it. Also the object would only ever be visible for a few seconds so there was not really enough time to do this when it did appear. When he started to see the UFO numerous times Robert realised that it was directly interacting with him. However rather than being frightened of it, he was more interested. However at night time he began to get scared that they were going to come and take him away. He would stay up for hours in his room with his pet dogs, as he figured they would sense if something was wrong and warn him. He told his dad and two of his friends about the sightings and they seemed to believe him. Missing Time On the evening of 15th June, Robert found that he experienced a period of time that he could not account for. He was in his bedroom sitting on his bed. He was not at all tired. He checked his clock and saw that it was about 8.30pm. Then he glanced down at the floor for what seemed like only a couple of seconds. When he looked back at the clock it now said 11.30pm! This confused him greatly, and he then felt as though he had been somewhere else during that time. However he had no recollection of anything happening at all. Missing time is very commonly reported by contactees, as the ETs have a way of wiping out the memories of contact experiences, and regularly do so. This is an odd experience, though usually if an abduction had taken place you would expect there to have been other warning signs or after effects as well as just the missing time. I can’t help but wonder if on this occasion Robert had mistook the clock in his room when he first read it, and it was in fact later than he initially thought. However there is still the possibility that something took place, especially considering what happened exactly a month later. The Abduction Late in the evening of 15th July Robert once more had a brief sighting of the triangular UFO. He went to bed about 11.30pm. His parents were in the house, and had also gone to bed. Robert then began to experience what felt like a very vivid dream. In this dream he was in his room lying down on the bed and watching TV. Suddenly the cable TV turned off and the screen went completely blue. Several seconds later the picture turned off completely, plunging the room into darkness. He got up out of bed and tried switching on the bedroom light but it wouldn’t work. It appeared that the electricity to the house was off. He decided to go and check out the fuse box. But when he tried to open the door to his room he suddenly felt very weak. He did not have the strength in his legs to walk and could not lift his hand to the door handle. Despite this odd situation he felt completely calm, and just got back into bed. What seemed like five minutes went by. Robert had his eyes closed but did not feel like he had dropped off to sleep. Suddenly it felt like there was something else in the room. He opened his eyes but it was pitch black. He felt glad in a way that he couldn’t see whatever it was as deep down he didn’t really want to. He then felt himself drop off to sleep suddenly like he had blacked out. The next thing he became aware of was that he was no longer in his bedroom. He was lying down on a cold flat metallic surface. The air felt a bit warmer than the cold surface he was on. He felt he was still wearing his boxer shorts that he had gone to bed in. He felt like he was paralyzed from the neck down but could still move his head around. Over him was an extremely bright light that dazzled him at first. Even though he was mostly paralyzed he still felt quite calm about the situation. As his eyes became more accustomed to the light, he looked past him to his right and saw a flat white wall with a metallic silver door in it. Both seemed to be about 15 feet away from where he was lying. There were no other discernable markings or objects. Suddenly the door silently slid to one side. Beyond the open doorway he saw what looked like a corridor, a bit darker than the room he was in but not completely dark. A figure wearing some kind of dark red robe then entered the room and began to walk towards him. Robert only remembers seeing half of this figure, for some reason he does not remember seeing its face, even though there was nothing blocking his view. Other contactees have reported similar things before, where they can remember seeing a figure but cannot recall the facial details. Robert then felt the urge to look straight upward towards the light. When he did so he was shocked to see the faces of four Grey beings looking down at him. The beings were peering in from all directions so were clearly standing around his head, though he only saw their faces. Witness drawing showing a basic layout of the room he was in, with the door coloured grey and the Greys around his head marked in red: 📷 Drawing witness found online which reminds him of how the Greys were looking down upon him: 📷 Robert thinks that the being on the right may have been the one that was wearing the robe but he cannot be sure as he only saw their faces. The shape of the Grey’s heads was like an upside down water droplet. They looked a bit larger than an adult human’s head. Their skin colour was light grey, and they had large almond-shaped eyes which were a very dark black colour all over. They had no discernable nose, just a couple of small nostrils and a thin slit for a mouth. Their necks were about half the width of a human neck. One of the Greys had very wrinkled skin which made it look old. The other three had smooth younger looking skin. The Grey’s appeared to Robert to be a little surprised, almost as if they hadn’t expected him to wake up. This is all he currently remembers, his next recollection was waking up in the morning. He had a very bad headache which lasted for a number of hours. He remembered the above memories from during the night but put them down to a vivid dream. He felt a little different to normal, and felt slightly sick for the majority of the day. At breakfast he asked his parents if they saw the power go off during the night, but they had been asleep so if it did take place as Robert remembers they would have missed it. In the days following he had numerous flashbacks of the incident where he recalled what had taken place in great detail for up to 20 minutes at a time. It was about a month later that he thought about what had taken place and realised it may have actually happened. Many of the aspects of the incident that Robert has described fit with a “classic” abduction experience. The fact that he felt drowsy and weak prior to being taken, but was also calm and not worried about what was happening. The surroundings he then found himself in. The bright light directly over his head. The description of the Grey beings. The various feelings and flashbacks that occurred after the experience. All these things are commonly reported by contactees from all around the world. I wonder whether the power cut was due to a craft hovering close above the house, a craft which Robert was then taken up into. UFOs have often been seen to disrupt electrical objects in their proximity. The fact that Robert cannot actually remember being taken up into a craft is again a commonly reported anomaly, and is known as travel amnesia. It certainly seems that Robert has some missing memories about what took place. He may be able to retrieve these memories through regressive hypnosis but has so far not attempted to do so. After Effects Ever since the abduction experience, Robert has often felt like he is being watched from up in the sky. But whenever he looks there is nothing there. This feeling tends to come on at random and can occur anywhere at any time. Contactees often report feeling like they are under observation from an unseen presence. This could well be his subconscious being aware that he is still being watched by the ETs. He has also found that he is now scared of the dark, a phobia commonly reported by contactees. He sometimes feels that he is being watched by something in his room until he puts on the light. Many contactees suffer from this fear as they are aware that the ETs have come for them during the night. Under Surveillance On a number of occasions since his abduction, Robert has noticed unmarked vans with passengers who appeared to be watching him. The last time he saw one was in September 2010. He has only seen these vehicles while out places never parked near his own home. They are sometimes white, and sometimes black in colour. On all occasions the van appears to have no registration plates, at least not on the front. The passengers appeared to be wearing black sunglasses. A couple of times he has tried approaching the van, but when he does so it slowly drives away. On one occasion he did manage to get quite close to the van and was near the left side. The left doors window wound down and he heard a man’s voice telling him to stop, turn around and leave. The voice sounded very demanding and for some reason filled him with fear, so he immediately did as he was asked. Robert has never tried to photograph any of the vans; he feels that if he tried they may do something to stop him. As the incidents occur at random it is hard to get the police involved. He did ask a police officer about what to do but they could not really answer his questions. On one occasion he noticed the van just before getting on a bus. He then watched the van follow the bus for about 20 seconds. When he got off the bus several streets away from where he lives he again noticed the van at a distance. The men inside appeared to be watching him for about 15 seconds, then it slowly turned and drove away. Robert wonders if these incidents are related to his UFO encounters and abduction experience. He has heard about the Men In Black and feels that maybe this could account for the van and its occupants. This could possibly be the case. It is uncommon, but some contactees have reported being watched in such a manner or directly visited by mysterious men in suits. I believe that these men are part of certain agencies within the government who are interested in finding out as much as they can about the ET presence, while keeping the reality of this from the general public. As contactees have a direct link with the ETs it is not surprising that these individuals would find them interesting, and sometimes question them about their experiences, or threaten them to prevent them from talking openly about what has taken place. A Rendlesham Connection? Recently Robert watched a program on the History Channel entitled “UFO Hunters – Military VS UFOs”. This program discussed the famous Rendlesham Forest incident of December 1980. During the program, the symbols which Jim Penniston saw on the side of the triangular craft he encountered in the forest were shown. When Rpbert saw these symbols he felt very strange, almost as if he knew what they meant but could not say out loud. He wonders if he saw either the same or similar symbols during his abduction experience, or perhaps has been shown them by the ETs at some point. Witness drawing of the symbols: 📷 Robert is not the first contactee I have spoken with who has mentioned these symbols and who feels connected to them in some way. Although you may feel that this is far fetched, it is not really surprising - If Robert and these other individuals have been taken by the same group of ET's that were at Rendlesham, and if the symbols are the ET’s form of writing, then they could well have written down other similar symbols which have then been observed during abduction experiences or implanted directly as memory downloads. Is this what has happened here? Of course we can only speculate at present, but it is certainly worth considering. Conclusion Robert has had some fascinating experiences, and due to his detailed recollections of his abduction it is clear that he is a contactee. It seems that the sightings of the silver craft beforehand were repeated observations by the ETs who would in the end abduct him. The incidents which have happened since with the unmarked vehicles are also interesting, and suggest that he may now be under occasional surveillance for whatever reason. Robert is fascinated by the symbols from the Rendlesham incident and wonders why he feels a connection with them. He also wonders whether anything else will come from this, or if he will be abducted again at some point. If he decides to stay in touch then this report will be updated with any additional incidents. Copyright Dave Hodrien 2011

  • Southampton Contact Case - Greys, Abduction, Psychic Abilities, Paranormal Activity

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Last Updated: 12/04/2011 For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used Introduction Lisa is in her 50s and lives down in Southampton with her husband. When she was young she had a number of unusual experiences which she could not explain. In recent years, after unusual incidents started to take place again, she decided to look into the UFO subject and found that her experiences fitted in quite well with ET contact. Lisa wonders if she may be a contactee, and it was this that prompted her to get in touch with me. This report covers Lisa’s numerous experiences, in the rough order that they took place. It contains numerous witness drawings. Golliwog One night when she was just 2 or 3 years old, Lisa was sleeping alongside her parents in their bed as there was a thunderstorm. She remembers waking up in the night. In a flash of lightning, she saw a silhouette of something at the window. It looked like the head and shoulders of a being. There were what looked like long spikes sticking out from the top of its head. It also appeared to be wearing a helmet of some kind as the shape was too regular. She remembers saying “golliwog” when she saw it. She then fell back off to sleep. Lisa does not remember anything else about the incident but feels that her parents stayed asleep, which seemed odd considering the noise of the storm. Witness drawing of the silhouette she saw at the window: 📷 When she was 15 or 16 she spoke to her mother about the incident, and her mum said that to look in the window it would have had to have been at least seven feet tall or floating, as the garden pathway was low. Lisa says that this incident seemed much more real than just a dream, it has remained as a lasting memory ever since. Could this figure at the window have been an early ET visitation? Many contactees report seeing ETs peering in the window of their room, so it is certainly a possibility. This could indicate that Lisa has experienced contact since an early age. If it was an ET, could this may have been its actual shape? The spikes coming from the head are very unusual, but perhaps it was using a screen memory. ETs are often seen to mask their true appearance and appear to contactees as other things such as animals, doctors or familiar people. This is probably done to reduce the fear experienced by the individual. White Light Thinking back to her childhood, Lisa has numerous memories of seeing the bedroom lit up in bright light while she was in her bed at night. She assumed that this was just caused by moonlight, but could these memories actually be of contact experiences? Contact often begins with the room being filled with white light coming from a nearby craft outside the window. Silver UFO Sighting Lisa was either 6 or 7 when she had her first sighting of a UFO. She was out somewhere with her mother and it was a hot sunny day with a clear sky. Something made her look up into the sky. She has no idea of what caused her to look up, but when she did so she saw a silver coloured triangular shaped object. It was at a low enough altitude to see the shape of it and the sunlight reflecting off its surface. She immediately became frightened of the object and looked away. She did not look back and did not tell her mother about what she had seen. This is an interesting sighting, however there is a possibility that the object was nothing more than an unusual inflatable drifting across the sky. Due to her young age she could have interpreted it as something more unusual. The object was just hovering and was not seen to perform any manoeuvres which would designate it was under control. On the other hand, considering her many other experiences perhaps this was a genuine craft watching over her. UFO Dream When Lisa was 12 or 13 she remembers having an unusual and vivid dream. In this dream she was at a park in Southampton and was sitting cross legged on top of a flattened circular disc about 30 feet off the ground. Below her she could see another disc with someone else on that she knew, and the base of another disc higher than her. She got the distinct feeling that there was a large craft higher in the sky and that one by one they were going into this craft on these smaller discs. This may just have been a dream but it does have some very interesting themes. It is unlikely to have been a real incident, but could it have been brought on by her contact experiences? This is not the first time that a contactee has described to me a dream such as this. Space Travel Lisa has always been drawn to the idea of space travel. She remembers that when she was only 4 years of age she used to listen to Telstar on the radio and be fascinated by it. She has no idea why she feels so drawn to this subject. Stranger still, when she saw the photographs from Voyager of the flyby of Jupiter, she felt like she had actually been there! Could these feelings be linked to her experiences? Many contactees feel drawn to the stars or to space, probably because they are aware that this is where their abductors have originated from, or perhaps where they have been taken to during abduction experiences. Insemination Memory Soon after Lisa got married, she had another very vivid memory that seemed more than just a dream. In this vision she saw herself lying down on a flat surface surrounded by Greys. She was naked. One of the beings moved and stood between her legs. It positioned itself like someone before they drop down to start press ups. It seemed careful not to touch her with its body. Some kind of pouch then opened in its abdomen and a long, tentacle like protrusion emerged and entered her. She felt like she was being inseminated by the being. After the vision, Lisa sometimes thought about asking a colleague at the hospital where she works to check her and see if she has ever been pregnant. So far she has not plucked up enough courage to do so. Lisa feels that this vision may be one of the reasons why she is reluctant to bear children. What Lisa describes is very interesting, and could be directly or indirectly linked to her experiences. One of the ongoing agendas of the ETs appears to be the creation of hybrid beings by crossing their own DNA with ours. They often use female contactees as surrogates for hybrid embryos, which are then later removed from them and continue to be grown aboard a craft. I have not heard of a tentacle emerging from the abdomen of a Grey before, they would usually use a metallic instrument for the purpose of insemination. It is not out of the question that this incident occurred how Lisa remembers it, but perhaps part of her memory is symbolic of what took place and not literal, it is possible her mind has dreamt up this scenario to explain what she went through at the time. Initial Grey Visitation In June 1999 when she was 43 years old, Lisa went on holiday to Skegness with her husband and his mother. It was her husband’s birth town and his father had died there two years previously. They had rented a flat on the seafront named SuRo to stay in for the duration of the holiday. One night she woke up about 3am. She did not check the clock but knew it must have been around this time as there was early morning sunlight coming into the room from around the curtains. She was sleepy but feels sure that she was awake. Aerial map showing the location of SuRo holiday flats: 📷 Photograph of SuRo holiday flats: 📷 Looking to the base of the bed, she saw a Grey being standing there watching her. She could see it from the chest upwards, its legs were hidden from view by the bed. The top of the bed was about 3 feet off the floor. Lisa estimates the being was between 4-5 feet in height. It had a large over-sized head, thin neck and flat chest. Its arms were also thin and long. Lisa could not see its hands as they were hidden by the bed. Witness drawing of the Grey at the base of her bed: 📷 The Grey had very large black eyes which wrapped around the sides of its head, an almost flat nose and a small thin mouth. The most noticeable feature was the eyes as they took up about half of its head. Its skin was pale grey in colour and looked almost artificial, almost like a tight fitting grey coloured suit. Lisa compares it to cheap imitation leather. Witness drawing of the Grey’s face: 📷 It appeared to be very cold, detached and emotionless, and reminded Lisa of someone waiting for a tranquilised animal to fall asleep. She only looked at it a moment and just had time to think “There is an alien”. She then fell off to sleep. This felt forced as if she had been drugged. Lisa assumed the being she saw was an alien as it was humanoid but clearly not human. She had not looked into the UFO subject previously and did not find out until later that the being she saw was known as a Grey. In the morning when she woke she felt unusually tired and sluggish. She remembered seeing the being but laughed off the incident and put it down to a dream or hallucination. But at the back of her mind she knew that it was not. She told her husband what she remembered. He felt that the incident had been just a dream. Lisa was not particularly frightened by what happened, and in the days following was calm. She did not notice anything else out of the ordinary. There are many aspects of Lisa’s experience which fit in with other contact experiences, and I feel that this incident certainly took place. Her description of the being is accurate and fits in with it being a Grey. The artificial looking skin is very commonly reported. Lisa notes that the eyes were very large compared to numerous other drawings she has seen on the net. However there is quite a bit of variation in the shape and size of the eyes, and it is likely there are many different sub-species. The way in which Lisa did not panic when she saw the being, and also the fact she felt like she had been sedated and dropped back off to sleep are two other aspects which are reported time and time again. The ETs appear to have a way of calming down the individual so that they are complacent towards what is taking place. They also often cause the individual to drop off to sleep, even if they try to prevent this from happening. It is possible that the incident took place directly after or just before an abduction experience which Lisa cannot currently remember. Grey Around The House Within a month of the holiday to Skegness, Lisa and her husband were back home in Southampton and sat in bed reading. It was late evening time and they were both wide awake. Lisa glanced over to her right to speak to her husband. Behind him was the open doorway to the bedroom. Lisa then clearly saw a Grey walk past the doorway along the landing! Her view was partially blocked by her husband, but she saw the top of its head and one side of its body as it walked past. The landing light was on so she got a good view of it. Witness diagram detailing her point of view: 📷 Lisa was shocked at the sight of the being. She felt like the being had believed it was not going to be seen. She thought about getting up out of bed to check the landing but for some reason knew that she would not find it. She told her husband what had just happened. In the days following the incident she felt disturbed that she had seen this being in her own home, and wondered what else may take place. This is an odd experience as what reason would the ET have for walking around Lisa’s home? I do wonder if the being was not actually physical, but was a vivid flashback to her previous experience. Lisa contests this point, she is certain that the being looked very solid and was actually there. Psychic Abilities Lisa believes that she has had a number of premonitions throughout her life. As an example in 2002 she thinks she had a premonition of the Indian Ocean tsunami which occurred on 26th December 2004. She had a vivid dream in which she was looking at a black and white TV. On the TV she saw lots of people looking behind themselves at something. They were screaming and running away, and in big white numbers across the screen was the date 26/12/2004. In the morning Lisa felt that this was a premonition to something bad which was going to occur on this date. She actually took the step of warning a number of people that she knew. Two years later when the date finally arrived, Lisa was convinced that something was going to take place. She thought it was going to happen in Southampton and so that day made sure both and her husband remained inside. That evening she saw on the news that there had been a tsunami in the Indian Ocean. Lisa has also informed me that there was another unusual incident soon after she got married where she appeared to be telepathic. She and her husband lived in a small studio flat when first married and the kitchen was a small room adjoining the lounge/bedroom. They were watching the movie “Quatermass & The Pit” on TV and she had gone into the kitchen to make a snack. The dialogue on the TV mentioned Hobb’s Lane and she asked “Is that anything to do with hobgoblins?” Her husband did not reply. She thought “How rude!” and went into the lounge to ask why he had not replied. He was sat on the sofa and he was looking at her with his mouth open. In his hands he had an open dictionary and had been looking at the word hobgoblin when she had spoken. This incident apparently frightened her husband. Could Lisa have picked up on the word her husband was reading at the time? Or could it just be put down to a coincidence? Many contactees report having psychic abilities, and premonitions have often been mentioned to me in the cases I have investigated. There seems to be a definite link with ET contact, but the real reason for this is not currently known. Perhaps the beings actually grant the individual these abilities. Perhaps they occur unintentionally as a side effect of contact. Or could it be the other way round – that the ETs are interested in the individual because they possess these abilities? Electronic Noise On a night in 2010, Lisa was disturbed by her husband’s snoring. As she had to wake up for work early, she decided to go downstairs and sleep on the sofa in the living room. She was laid down on the sofa when she suddenly heard a distinct noise which came from behind it. It sounded like an electronic “chirp”. It only lasted for a second, and seemed to come from about a foot or two off the floor. Lisa immediately got the sense that something was definitely there and became frightened by it. The noise could not have been caused by the central heating in the house as it was off at the time. It did not sound like an animal such as a grasshopper. About five seconds later Lisa heard the noise a second time, and then immediately fell off to sleep, similar to how she had when she saw the Grey back in 1999. Lisa woke up about 8am. This was unusual as she would usually wake up of her own accord about 7am. Just like back in 1999, she felt drowsy and not her normal self. Grey In The Garden On another night in the summer of 2010, Lisa had fallen off to sleep on the sofa. She awoke to use the bathroom, and as she walked back through to the living room, glanced half asleep out of the window. It was still dark, but the garden was visible in the moonlight. At the base of the garden beyond the gate she saw a Grey. It was stood on the path and looked like it was waiting. Judging by the size of the gate post, Lisa believes that it was about 3 and a half feet in height. Witness drawing of the Grey at the gate of the garden: 📷 By now Lisa had looked into the UFO subject and knew that the being was a Grey. Just like back in 1999, when she saw the being she just thought to herself “Oh, there’s an alien!” She did not get frightened and seemed to accept the fact it was there. She then left the window, walked back to her bed and went to sleep. In the morning she remembered seeing the being and also the way she had acted towards seeing it. Once again this is probably another visitation and could have preceeded or followed an abduction. Although Lisa was half asleep at the time, it seems unlikely that this experience would have just been brought on by a dream. The fact that once again she seemed to accept the presence of the being again suggests that there was interaction between herself and it. The Moving Shadow Close to Christmas in 2010 Lisa believes she saw something moving around her home. She was lying down on the sofa and it was about 2.50am. The lamp behind the TV was still on. It cast a shadow of the Christmas tree onto the wall. Suddenly she heard a tinkling noise caused by movement of the baubles on the tree. She was familiar with this sound as it would happen whenever she or her husband walked by the tree. She looked up and saw what appeared to be a moving shadow of something passing by the tree. Looking around the room there was nothing there, but she was convinced that something had moved across the room. It is possible that this incident was caused by moving light coming in from outside. Perhaps the noise was just caused by a draught of air moving past the tree. Or could there be a more unusual explanation? As there was nothing to be seen in the room when Lisa looked around, it seems unlikely that it was down to a physical ET being walking across the room. Could it have been down to some other form of paranormal activity such as a ghostly apparition? A Presence In The Bathroom Towards the end of 2010 Lisa became ill with an infection in her jaw after having a tooth removed. She would often need to wake up at 3am to take some pain killers. On a morning in January 2011, she was standing in the bathroom at the sink taking her medication. The bathroom door was open behind her. Suddenly she felt something brush past the back of her dressing gown. Lisa turned around expecting to see her husband, but there was nothing there. She then wondered if a Grey had been down behind the bathroom door and had moved quickly out of the room behind her so she would not see it. She was very un-nerved by the situation and quickly returned to bed. Witness diagram of the upper floor of the house showing where the incident happened: 📷 The following day she went to hang her dressing gown on one of the hooks on the bathroom door, when she suddenly noticed something unusual. She had accidentally spilled some talcum powder on the floor behind the door. In this talcum powder was a marking that looked like a small footprint. It reminded her of the shoe of a child. The marking had clearly defined edges and definitely looked like something had been present there. Lisa wondered if this marking had been caused by the same being she had felt move past her during the night. She showed her husband the marking and asked him if he knew what could have caused it but he could not provide an explanation. Witness drawing of the marking in the talcum powder: 📷 These incidents could be related and could point to there having been an ET standing in the bathroom. However this does seem rather unlikely, the idea of a Grey sneaking around the home during the night is a little odd. I asked Lisa if the feeling of something pushing past her could have been caused by her catching the dressing gown on something, but she says that she was standing in the bathroom for a short while beforehand while she got the medicine out of the bathroom cabinet, and there was nothing anywhere nearby which she could have caught it on. Also she says that it could not have been caused by a sudden draught. As for the marking, could it really have been caused by a being hiding behind the door? If this was the explanation, then surely there would have been two footprints not one? Could it have been caused simply by the way in which the talcum powder fell? Or perhaps some water had been dropped on it which had washed away some of it leaving the marking behind. Unfortunately Lisa did not take a photograph of the marking. Further Visitations At 9pm on the 3rd April 2011, Lisa was in the living room. Her handbag was hanging on the back of the sofa, and she was looking through it. To her left was the kitchen door. The door has three glass panels in it. The light in the kitchen was off so not much could be seen through the glass. As she was looking in her bag, she caught a glimpse of movement coming from the kitchen. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a short grey coloured figure walk across the kitchen behind the glass! It was about 3 feet high, and quickly moved out of sight. Witness drawing of the figure in the kitchen: 📷 When she saw it she said out loud "Piss off, I won't be frightened in my own house!" This was an unusual reaction for her, but she did it on instinct. She immediately knew what it was and this is why she spoke to it in this way. This is a sign that Lisa is getting over the fear of her experiences, and gaining more control over them. She told her husband she had seen a ghost, but really she knew it was a Grey. Later that evening Lisa and her husband went to bed. It was quite dark in the room, but they had purposely left the curtains slightly ajar as her husband is recovering from a retina repair and does not like complete darkness. The light from beyond the curtains was shining on the wall forming a silhouette. Lisa lay down and closed her eyes for a moment. Something then caused her to open her eyes and stare at the silhouette of the curtains on the wall. She was certain that she was still fully awake. She suddenly realised that there was also the shape of a figure looking in from outside. As she realised this is what it was, the shadow of the figure quickly moved off to the left out of sight. Witness drawing of the silhouette at the window: 📷 Lisa's immediate thought was that the figure must have been floating outside the window as her bedroom is on the second floor. It reminded her of the figure she had seen as a young child, discussed earlier in this report. However it did not have the spikes coming up out of the head and she felt that it was something different. Had Lisa really been awake at this point or was she having a mild hallucination brought on by the fact she was dropping off to sleep? If it was a real incident, perhaps the silhouette she saw belonged to a Grey, however the dimensions do not seem right. Perhaps it was wearing some kind of suit which would have made its shadow look quite different. Or perhaps it was a different ET species altogether. Conclusion Lisa has had a number of experiences which seem clearly linked with ET contact. Many of the aspects of these experiences fit in with other contact cases I have personally looked into or know about. Lisa is not trying to gain any attention from her revelations – in fact she doesn’t want them to be real, she hopes that these incidents have just been down to her imagination or hallucinations. But I feel that Lisa is certainly a contactee, and has probably been abducted on numerous occasions, and that the memories of these abductions have been largely blocked out. If she decides to go ahead with a regression at some point she could possibly uncover some of these memories. As some of her experiences have occurred quite recently, she may well experience further contact going forward. If Lisa decides to stay in touch, this report may be updated with further information in time. Copyright Dave Hodrien 2011

  • 16/04/2011 - Cardiff - Orange Orbs Sighting

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Originally forwarded by Richard Hall Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 20/04/2011 Sighting Details It was 11.15pm on 16th April 2011. Marc and his girlfriend Karen (name changed for privacy reasons) were about to go to bed at Marc’s house on Splott Road, Cardiff. Marc decided to take one last glance out of the first floor open bedroom window to the North West. It was a clear still night with the moon and stars visible. It was now that he noticed an orange glowing orb of light moving towards the South. It seemed to be about 300 feet high and about 2 miles away from his position, though this was hard to judge as there was no point of reference. Aerial map of Splott Road: 📷 Marc called Karen over to the window and they both watched the object for about two minutes. It moved towards the South before seeming to gradually turn and head off in a South Westerly direction. During this time it slowly increased in altitude from 300 to about 1000 feet. It then seemed to fade and disappear. They continued to watch and a second object appeared. This was followed by three more identical objects. Each moved on the same course and at the same speed, and vanished like the first had. The couple were excited at what they were witnessing. After about 15 minutes no more objects appeared and they decided to head to sleep. Sighting Analysis This incident was almost certainly a sighting of a number of Chinese lanterns that had been launched from a nearby celebration. All the aspects of the sighting fit in with this explanation, from the appearance, the movement pattern, the way in which the objects slowly increased in altitude, and the way in which they seemed to fade and vanish after a while. Lanterns tend to be launched in multiple and will follow the same course if caught in air currents. They slowly rise as they drift across the sky due to the hot air inside them. Eventually they burn out which makes them look like they have vanished without trace. While I cannot be absolutely sure that this was the cause of the lights seen, and Marc says that he is familiar with lanterns but these objects looked different, I still feel this is the most probable explanation. Out of interest, Marc did mention that he has had some other quite different UFO sightings in addition to this one. If he decides to share these with me they will be added to this report in separate sections. Copyright Dave Hodrien 2011

  • 1976/77 - Aigburth, Liverpool - Red Orb UFO Sighting

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Originally forwarded by Richard Hall Release Date: 22/04/2011 John (name changed for privacy reasons) has had two fascinating UFO sightings, both of which took place in the 1970’s. His first encounter was with five disc-shaped UFOs, and was seen by both him and many other witnesses. This experience fits in with an incident involving a formation of UFOs that was seen at various places around England in the summer of 1974 (see seperate case report). John’s second experience occurred several years later, and it is this sighting that this report focuses on. It is every bit as unusual and impressive as the first. Unfortunately John has so far not got back to me with additional information, so I only have his initial notes to go on. Sighting Details The incident occurred in 1976 or 77. If it really occurred three years after the first incident, then this would make it 1977, and John would have been around 14 years old at the time. He was sitting at the bottom of the street on which he lived in Aigburth, Liverpool, chatting with a friend. They suddenly noticed a large glowing red ball of light travelling along above the Mersey river. As they watched it raised up and then settled in the area known as the Cast Iron Shore. When it did this, it lit up the whole area in a red glow. John and his friend stood up and walked down to the bottom road. There they found that there were other neighbours outside on the street also watching the object. Aerial view of Aigburth, the location of the area known as Cast Iron Shore: 📷 About a minute went by, with the object remaining stationary. Then suddenly it shot straight upwards at a stunning speed and was lost from sight! Soon afterwards John remembers that the incident was mentioned on the local radio, and also was mentioned in the Liverpool Echo newspaper. Sighting Analysis This is a fascinating multiple witness sighting. Red glowing UFOs are not often seen and are quite unusual. The manoeuvres the object performed indicate that it was under intelligent control. They also mean that it cannot have had a mundane explanation such as a lit inflatable or model. Even a more unusual explanation such as an earth light does not really fit with what took place – these rarely appear over cities or water, and do not suddenly rise straight upwards at great speed. The fact it was seen by multiple individuals, and afterwards appeared in the newspaper and on the radio means that it could not have just been the boy’s imagination, it clearly took place and was really present. I am currently attempting to track down the newspaper article that John mentioned. As the exact date is not really known this is proving to be quite challenging. If I manage to get hold of it I will add it to this report. Copyright Dave Hodrien 2011
