Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Originally forwarded by Richard Hall Release Date: 22/11/2011 Introduction In October 2003, the three Concorde aircraft landed at Heathrow airport for the last time. This was quite a big event for aviation enthusiasts and was covered live on daytime news. Ewan (name changed for privacy reasons) knew a UFO investigator from Quest International. After the Concorde footage aired on TV, Ewan was contacted by this investigator. The investigator told him that there were a number of unidentified aerial objects in the footage. He sent Ewan the footage for him to take a look at. Ewan spent a day going through this footage and slowing it down. He believed that some of the objects were nothing more than birds. However one particular object puzzled him. It is this object that forms the basis of this report. In February 2011, Ewan finally decided to get in touch with Richard Hall about the video footage, and subsequently it was passed on to me for analysis. Below are my findings. Video Analysis The video is from live TV and shows Concorde landing at Heathrow Airport on 24th October 2003. About 25 seconds into the footage, as the camera tracks the aircraft on its landing path, what appears to be a white cigar or flattened disc shaped object moves across the screen. It seems to be solid with a darker shadowed area at the base which suggests it has a curved surface. It appears to be in the distance behind Concorde rather than flying directly under it. Below is the video footage recorded off live TV. The object can be seen at 24 seconds into the footage: Here is a slowed down video showing the pass of the object: As you can see, interestingly the object appears to be either wobbling or perhaps even spinning as it moves along. In relation to how Concorde appears on the screen it is of course quite small, but certainly appears to be a solid object of some description. It is either white in colour, or could possibly be metallic and brightly reflecting sunlight. Could the flapping of the bird’s wings be responsible for the wobbling effect seen? However to counteract this argument the object appears too defined and smooth edged to be a bird, and it retains its shape for the entire second that it is visible in the footage. If it was a bird we may expect to make out a rough bird shape which would alter in each frame rather than remain identical. Also the object is stationary, as it appears to be, then it is unlikely to be a bird. Unfortunately it is impossible to ascertain whether or not the object is moving because the camera is panning and there is nothing else in the background to compare it against. Other possibilities are that it is another distant aircraft or blimp, or a small lenticular cloud. Perhaps the wobbling motion was caused by camera shake. There is one anomaly within the video. In one frame when the object is about 1/3 of the way across the screen, there are smaller white “objects” seen to the left of it. These are not visible in the frames before or after. It is probable that they are caused by pixilation and nothing more, especially as they appear to be the same width and at the same height, but the video footage is quite clear, and is not at all grainy. This is a possibility worth considering and even though there are other possible mundane explanations it cannot be put out of the question. If it is a craft of some kind, did anyone aboard Concorde actually see it during their descent to the airport? Whatever it is, it certainly appeared to be a solid object rather than just a reflection on the camera lens. I have searched on-line but to my knowledge nobody else spotted the object in the TV footage. Though considering the occasion they probably had their eyes on other aerial objects! Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 18/07/2011 Most UFO sightings reported to BUFOG are of objects seen in the air by witnesses with their feet firmly on the ground. However occasionally we receive details of sightings which have taken place from on board aeroplane flights. It makes perfect sense that if UFOs are flying around our airspace they will sometimes be observed by pilots and passengers. This report covers an interesting sighting that took place over the French Alps in May 2011. It was reported to me via a member of BUFOG (you know who you are), after their friend related the story to them. Many thanks to them for finding out the majority of the information seen within this report. Sighting Details It was 7am on the morning of 10th May 2011. The witness, who we shall call Matthew for the purpose of this report, was on board flight BHX 525. The aircraft had set out from Birmingham International airport an hour earlier, and was now flying over the French Alps. It was a very clear sunny day, with only light cloud visible. Matthew was looking out of the aircraft window at the mountains below. Suddenly he saw a strange object ascending from below off to the left of the plane. The main body of the object was cigar shaped and white in colour. At the back it had what appeared to be a low tail and short fin-like wings sticking out. There was a black smoke vapour trail coming from the back of the object. It appeared to be an unusual craft of some kind. The main fuselage of the craft seemed to be about 30 feet in length and 3-6 feet wide. It was about 500-1000 metres away from the plane, and was rising fast at an extremely rapid speed. As it got close to the plane, the UFO suddenly veered off to the left seemingly to avoid a collision. After about 20 seconds it was lost from sight due to the view from the window. Nobody else seemed to react to it or discuss it afterwards so he assumes not. It is unknown whether the craft was picked up on radar. Sighting Analysis The UFO in this sighting was clearly a controlled craft of some kind. I feel that the most likely explanation for what was seen was some kind of un-manned military drone which was being test flown in the area. The description of the object does fit in with it being one of these pilotless craft. Most military drones are white in colour, as the witness describes. They also tend to have short wings which are often positioned closer to the rear of the craft. Below are a couple of photographs of military drones for comparison: 📷 📷 The witness has drawn short wings and a taller tail right at the rear of the craft, but this could have perhaps been an optical illusion caused by the angle the craft was being viewed from. Also the fact there was a vapour trail coming from it point towards it being man-made rather than extraterrestrial. It was seemingly moving at a fast speed, but did not perform any manoeuvres which would suggest it was something more unusual. The fact that there was what appeared to be black smoke pouring from the rear of the craft suggests that it was perhaps having engine difficulties. Usually aircraft contrails are of course white in colour. At present this is all that is known about the incident, but I hope to speak to the witness directly in due course as well as find out further details about the flight. Copyright Dave Hodrien 2011

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 02/07/2011 Last Updated: 11/11/2024 In June 2011 I was contacted by a gentleman who had recently witnessed a UFO from the back garden of his house. He asked his daughter to take a photograph of the object. This report covers the sighting in depth and also contains analysis of the photograph and my thoughts on it. Sighting Details It was 6.21 pm on the evening of 3rd June 2011. Richard Haller and his wife were lying down on the edge of his daughter’s trampoline in the back garden of their house on Miller Street, Droitwich. His daughter was next to them using the trampoline. It was a sunny evening and they were staring up at the clear blue sky. Suddenly Richard noticed an object at high altitude travelling slowly across the sky to his left in a Westerly direction. It appeared to be moving at quite a slow speed. To the naked eye it just looked like a grey coloured dot. It was hard to tell exactly how high the object was or its actual size, but it was at least 1000 feet up. Richard pointed out the object to his wife and daughter. He then asked his daughter to get her Lumix FZ38 camera. She returned with it to the garden and managed to take two photographs before the object moved out of sight behind a nearby tree. As it moved it seemed to change in brightness, which Richard assumes was down to sunlight reflecting off its surface. When they checked the photos on playback mode they could not see the object on one of the photos, but were pleased to see that they had captured it on the other. When they zoomed in on it they were quite shocked to see that it was a rounded triangular shape and did not resemble a conventional aircraft. It either had lights on it or was reflecting the sunlight. Later Richard scanned it into the computer to have a better look at what had been captured. In the following weeks they showed the photograph to various family members, who all agreed that it was certainly unidentified and should be investigated. Photographic Analysis Here is the original photograph with the UFO circled, in which the apparent high altitude of the object can be seen: On this zoomed view of the object the rough shape of it can be made out. It appears to be made up of three rounded segments in a roughly triangular shape. It appears to be either pinkish or white in colouration, although this could well be due to the sunlight reflecting off its surface: Different contrast views of the object (supplied by the witness): A closer zoom on the UFO: The same close zoom of the UFO with edge find: Metadata Analysis Metadata is lots of hidden information that exists behind photographic images and videos. As the witness provided the original photograph I have been able to analyse this data. When images or videos are manipulated utilising computer software some of this metadata changes. Some data values are created, others vanish, while others change position. While it is true that metadata can be modified, most people do not even realise it exists, let alone that it can be modified. Also there are some values which are extremely difficult to change back once altered. Therefore it can be examined to attempt to determine whether the image or video is genuine or not. The original photograph was taken on a Panasonic DMC-TZ25. I obtained a control image taken on the same camera make and model. I then edited this image intentionally using a PC paint program. I then compared the three images to look for similarities/differences in the metadata. The below screenshots show metadata comparisons between the control image (1st column), modified control image (2nd column) and UFO photograph (3rd column) with differences highlighted: As you can see, the metadata of the UFO photograph matches the control image not the modified control image. I therefore feel there is an extremely likely probability that it is a genuine image that has not been manipulated. Conclusions After assessing the case details and the photographic evidence I feel that the object seen was probably a clump of balloons drifting across the early evening sky. From the photograph it can be seen that the object appears to have various curves across its surface, and could well be a number of smaller curved objects crowded together. The object did not perform any manoeuvres which would indicate it was under intelligent control, and was not moving particularly fast so could easily have been drifting in an air current. The object looks very similar in appearance to the object(s) seen in the skies over Manhattan back in 2010. This incident was widely put down to a launch of balloons, and I see no reason why this case should be any different. Below is a photograph of the Manhattan UFO for comparison: I cannot say 100% that the object Richard's daughter photographed was a group of balloons. There is still the possibility that it was something more unusual, but I feel that balloons are the most likely explanation for what was witnessed. Copyright Dave Hodrien 2024

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 06/07/2011 For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used Since an early age Linda has had a fascination with both the UFO subject and with space. Throughout her life she has had a number of unusual experiences which she feels may well be ET related. In recent years these experiences have become more prevalent in her life and she feels that she could be a contactee. This report covers her experiences in depth. Lights In The Sky In 1997 when Linda was 8 years old she had a UFO sighting in Dorset. As it happened so long ago, she cannot remember all of the details of the incident, but remembers enough to know it was highly unusual. She was out with her mother Rachel and her partner Dan walking his pet dog in a local field. It was a dry evening and was getting dark. There was some cloud cover but Linda could still make out some of the stars. Suddenly Dan pointed something out to them both. They looked up and saw a number of glowing white lights in the sky. The lights were grouped close together in a rough triangular pattern, and appeared to be on a singular solid object which could not be made out due to the time of day. Witness drawing showing the positioning of the white lights: 📷 This object appeared to be at least as high as a light aircraft would fly at. It was quite close to their location, and was almost overhead. The movement of the lights were what was most intriguing of all. Every couple of seconds the top light would vanish. It would then reappear a bit further across the sky. Then the remaining lower 3 lights would swing in back underneath the top light until they were back in their initial location. This continued as the object moved slowly across the sky. Linda remembers watching this strange spectacle for a couple of minutes until it had moved out of sight. On the way back home she scanned the sky for it but did not see it again. Her mother never really mentioned the incident again, and has since left her boyfriend so I am unable to speak with him about it. Due to the unusual movement of the lights this is a very interesting sighting. If you consider the theory that it was a singular solid object then it would have had to have some kind of hinge, and certain parts of it would have been able to move forward in the air while other parts remain hovering stationary. This seems a very unlikely set up for any craft, ET or otherwise. I feel that it is more likely that each light was an independent object, and that there were in fact 4 UFOs which were interacting with one another in the unusual manner seen for some unknown reason. If this was the case then it certainly designates intelligence. It is also very unlikely that these objects would have been under military control as they would have no real purpose in moving them in this way. Many contactees report seeing UFOs, sometimes many times over. Perhaps these objects were in the area purposely to observe Linda. Or are they nothing to do with her later experiences, and she was just in the right place at the right time to see them? Unexplained Sound When Linda was about 15 years old, she remembers another strange experience taking place. There is no indication whether or not this is ET related but it is interesting. Sometimes her boyfriend at the time would come to visit her after dark and would get her attention by throwing gravel at her bedroom window. One night she was lying in her room when she was suddenly awoken around 2am by a loud sound. It sounded to her like the sound of the gravel but much louder. The noise only occurred once and then there was silence. Without turning on her bedroom light, Linda went to the window, opened it and leaned out to take a look. There was nobody outside at all. She left the window and gave her boyfriend a call. As it was 2am and she called his house phone he wasn’t entirely pleased by this! But it proved to Linda that he had not been responsible for the noise. She told him what had just happened and apologised. She then lay back down on her bed. Almost immediately she heard the same sound a second time! Again she jumped up and checked outside the window but no-one was there. It was quite bizarre. She watched a car come down the road and a fox trotting about but nobody else was around. In the end she settled back down to sleep and did not hear the noise again. I asked Linda if the noise could have been caused by someone playing a practical joke on her and heavily throwing gravel at the window. She did not believe this to be the case. There were a number of street lights outside and nowhere really where anyone could hide from view. Usually when her boyfriend threw gravel at the window some bits would remain on the window sill but there was nothing. Also she did not know anyone who would have wanted to have done such a thing in the first place. So although the noise sounded similar to gravel hitting the window, Linda does not believe this was the cause. It remains a complete mystery. Greys Visitation On the night of 10th December 2010 Linda was asleep in her house on Symons Terrace in Redruth. She awoke in the middle of the night with the feeling of a presence in the room. She looked around but couldn’t see anything. She sleepily checked the clock and found it was between 1-2am. She seemed drawn to an area below and to the side of her bed but could not understand why. She then felt really sleepy and dropped back off. This felt to her like she’d been forced back to sleep. Aerial map of Symons Terrace: 📷 A short while later she awoke again, and once more felt a presence. This continued for about an hour. Linda dipped in and out of sleep. Sometimes the feeling of a presence would be near the base of the bed, other times it felt like it was all around her. Then after a while she began to experience what felt to her at the time like a vivid dream. In this dream she saw four Grey beings in her bedroom. One was near the base of the bed where the presence had seemed to be. There were two others standing behind that one next to each other. And then there was a fourth much closer near the head of her bed crouching down next to her. She felt that the beings were trying to communicate with her but she could not hear any actual words. As she had previously seen drawings of Greys she recognised them for what they were. Witness drawing of the Greys in the bedroom: 📷 The four Greys were identical in appearance. They were about the same height as herself, 5 foot 1 inch. They had a pale flesh pink coloured skin. They had slender almost human-like bodies but the arms and legs were long and thin, and the ribs were more visible through their skin. They had long thin necks which supported an oversized rounded head. Their eyes were large, oval shaped and tilted slightly upwards. They were highly reflective and completely black in colour. The nose was nothing more than two small nostrils. They had a small slit for a mouth, and their lips protruded forward a little bit. Other than this their faces were quite smooth and flat. For ears they appeared to have a small indent in either side of the head, there were no holes visible. They had three fingers and a thumb on each hand, and less toes, perhaps two or three, Linda is not clear on this. The beings were staring towards Linda and were quite still but looking around a bit, especially the one closer alongside the bed. The two standing behind the one at the base of the bed seemed to be communicating with each other and making hand gestures, though Linda heard no sounds coming from them. This was all Linda remembered. She awoke between 6-7am and felt uncomfortable and nauseous. She remembered the dream but it felt different to usual, more vivid and real. Linda is unaware if she experienced any missing time, and does not have any other memories of the incident. This experience led to her becoming interested in the UFO and contact subject and she started to look into it in more depth. It sounds likely that Linda was visited by a number of Greys, and that the memories of this felt to her like a vivid dream, as has been reported many times before by other contactees. Usually when such a visitation occurs this is followed by an abduction experience. Perhaps Linda was taken but the memories of this are blocked out at present. She may be able to uncover these memories if she decides to be regressed at some point. Initial Communication About a week after the two nights where she had the vision of Greys, Linda had just gone to bed late. It was about 3am. It was dark in the room, the morning light had not yet started to come up. She lay down but found that she could not drop off to sleep. After a short while she again felt a presence in her room just as she had done on the previous occasions. Once again this presence seemed to be situated down near the base of her bed. She looked around but could not see anything. Linda is not certain exactly why, but she remained calm and did not try to get out of bed or leave the room. This is intriguing, as it fits in with many other contact experiences I have investigated and read about. Contactees often feel an un-natural sense of calm and complacency while undergoing experiences. This appears to be initiated on purpose by the ETs, and is probably done to stop the individual from panicking or preventing them from doing what they need to do. Then without warning, Linda’s ears began to pop quite heavily. She closed her eyes and then saw intermittent flashes of white light and felt vibrations inside her ears. This lasted for several minutes. She then began to hear some very strange sounds. These sounds seemed to be a voice of some kind speaking to her. The voice felt like it was coming down from above her and directly into her head. It sounded distinctly male but also slightly electronic and strange. A lot of it seemed garbled and unrecognisable, but she did pick up individual short words such as “me”, “we” and “you”. The voice lasted for between 2-3 minutes and then suddenly ceased. Linda lay awake a while to see if it would come back but it did not. She wondered what it had meant or where it had come from. It certainly seemed to her like it had been a message of some kind, but she wondered why a lot of this message had seemed unintelligible to her. After a while she dropped off to sleep. The Birthing Dream Several nights after hearing the strange voice, Linda had a strange and vivid dream. At first she appeared to be in her own room. She was lying on her bed, and was clearly pregnant and in labour. Then her view suddenly shifted and she found herself standing on a street which she did not recognise. Then the view shifted again. She now found herself in a brightly lit metallic room of some kind. She was sitting on top of a flat raised surface. She was leaning back resting on her hands and her legs were apart. She was wearing a gown of some kind. A number of figures were around her and appeared to be assisting with the birth. But rather than being nurses these figures were Greys. They looked similar to those she had seen on previous occasions. Their features were partially obscured due to the brightness of the white light all around them. There were four beings around her legs. Linda also sensed that there were at least two more beings in the room but were out of sight. One of the Greys seemed to communicate to these others that she could not see. Some of the Greys were staring between her legs. One of them was holding her leg reassuringly. This seemed to go on for at least 20 minutes. She did not actually give birth but felt like she was going to. Witness drawing of what took place in the dream: 📷 She remembered the dream in the morning. It felt more real to her than a dream would usually feel. Linda was puzzled by this and wondered if there was an element of truth to it, although it was of course clear to her that she was not pregnant, nor had been on the previous evening. What Linda remembers is certainly interesting. Obviously at this point she was aware of what Greys look like. She also mentioned to me that she has had other dreams before of giving birth. So perhaps this was just a dream combining these two themes. However there is the possibility that this dream was linked with the hybrid breeding program, one of the ongoing agendas of the ETs. The surroundings she eventually found herself at do fit with those described by other contactees and could have been aboard a craft. But if the experience had actually taken place, Linda would surely have noticed that she was pregnant beforehand? Also hybrids are usually removed at the foetal stage using a procedure of some kind, and then continue development aboard the craft rather than go full term and be born naturally. Therefore it seems unlikely that the incident physically took place. But there is a chance that Linda has been involved with the hybrid program, and as a result she dreamed this up. Further Communication In late April 2011, Linda once again heard the strange voice on two occasions. On the first occasion she was lying in bed about 10pm, and about to drop off to sleep. Suddenly she once again felt her ears popping, felt the vibrations and saw the white flashes of light. Rather than sense a presence in the room, she this time felt that something was over the top of the house. This lasted for a good 5 minutes. After this time she began to hear the strange voice again, which did not come as a surprise to her as this was what had happened on the previous occasion. The voice continued for between 7-8 minutes. Just as before it was mostly unintelligible, and she could only pick up individual words in it. A couple of nights later the same thing happened again. This time the strange sensations beforehand lasted a little longer and seemed more intense, but other than that it was a similar experience. Possible Abduction Linda sometimes feels tired by early evening and has the habit of going for a nap for several hours before waking back up. At 6pm on the evening of 13th May 2011 she felt tired and so decided to go for a quick lie down. She expected to wake up like usual around 8-10pm. However for some reason on this occasion she stayed asleep. A while later she began to experience very strong sensations – popping ears, flashes of light and indistinguishable voices. At some point she suddenly woke up. When she opened her eyes and looked around, she immediately saw a very strange being across the other side of the room. It was a large worm like creature with no arms or legs, but with shoulders and a head. It was purple in colour and glowing. It had brightly glowing white eyes with dark purple pupils that were only visible when she looked directly at them. It had just a slit for a mouth. Through its body there appeared to be strange lines of symbols which were moving downward, which reminded Linda of the writing from the movie The Matrix. She only glanced at the being for a moment before she felt herself dropping back off to sleep. Witness drawing of the purple being: 📷 Next she heard a strange whooshing sound and felt that she was being taken somewhere. She then has vague memories of being in a room with glowing white lights. The room was an elongated hexagonal shape. There were white light sources coming from the corners and above her, and she remembers seeing a metallic ceiling. In front of her appeared to be a number of control panels and between them a sliding door with windows in it. She does not recall seeing any beings. Witness drawing of the control panels, door and lights: 📷 She awoke again and felt very strange. She checked the clock and found it was 2am. She decided to get out of bed and go and check herself in the bedroom mirror. When she looked at her face she noticed she looked really shocked. She loomed the same but different, and her eyes looked wide and alert. Her eye sockets were aching like something had been done to them. She turned around and noticed what looked like flowing blue electricity around the edges of the TV screen. This only lasted a brief moment. She also noted that the light on the controller for her electric blanket was flashing, something she had never seen it do before, nor has since. Linda did not immediately go back off to sleep. She stayed awake and went online for a couple of hours. After this time she felt extremely tired. This seemed odd to her considering the fact she had already apparently had 8 hours sleep. She got back into bed and fell asleep for a further 4 hours. Nothing else out of the ordinary seemed to occur, and when she woke in the morning she felt normal again. Was Linda abducted during the night after seeing the strange creature in her room? The being she described is very unusual and I have not investigated any cases where something similar has been seen. That said, the ETs have been known to mask their own appearance using a screen memory; could they have been appearing to Linda in this way for some reason? Or was the being nothing more than a bizarre dream? The fact that Linda remembers being in a strange metallic room with white light sources, control panels and a door is very interesting, especially as she heard a whooshing sound beforehand and felt that she had been taken elsewhere. These may well be memories from being aboard a craft, memories that have been partially blocked out. When Linda awoke she says she felt strange, her eye sockets hurt and she appeared to have a shocked expression on her face. This suggests that something unusual had taken place, and they could have been after effects from an abduction experience. She then also saw odd electrical anomalies in her bedroom. Contactees often report strange electrical activity in their proximity so again this could be a sign that she was taken. Another thing which contactees report is feeling un-naturally tired after they are returned, something which Linda eluded to in the hours following the experience. However we cannot ignore the fact that it was the middle of the night, and although she had been sleeping for 8 hours prior to this, perhaps this tiredness was just down to her body clock. Black Disc Sighting On 17th May 2011, 4 days after her abduction experience, Linda was out in the car with her mother. It was about 3pm in the afternoon and a grey overcast day. They visited Morrisons on Agar Road, Redruth. Linda remained in the car while her mother went into the supermarket. She said to herself “You know, I wish I’d see something right now.” Several minutes past, then Linda suddenly noticed a black disc shaped object off to the East to her left. It appeared to be travelling very fast across the sky, heading in a Southerly direction. It was quite low in the sky, just above the horizon. Initially she thought it must be a distant plane. However several seconds later, as the object was about to be hidden from sight behind a nearby building, it suddenly changed course and ascended at a very steep angle. When it was above the height of the building it then levelled out and continued on its original course. Once it was clear of the building it then descended back down to its original height. It was as if it wanted Linda to see it and had manoeuvred so that it would not be hidden from sight. Photograph in the direction the UFO was seen: 📷 Linda continued to watch the object until it had vanished behind a cloud about 4 seconds later. It seemed that the UFO had appeared on purpose in response to what Linda had asked. Could this really have been the case? The object certainly sounds like it was unusual. As it manoeuvred around the building, it does appear that it was under intelligent control. It was moving too fast to be a helicopter and could not have been an aeroplane due to the changes in direction. These appeared too structured for it to have been a bird, though this cannot fully be put out of the question. If it was a genuine UFO then it may well have been seen by other people considering the fact it was the middle of a sunny afternoon. The Staring Grey In mid June 2011, Linda experienced another visitation. She awoke in the middle of the night with the familiar feeling of a presence in the room. Her body was also shaking uncontrollably. As usual she was lying face down. After a couple of minutes she rolled over in bed. It was now that she came face to face with a Grey. It appeared to be standing alongside her bed and leaning over her. Its face was about 1 foot away from her own. Linda stared into its huge black eyes. She sensed a feeling of connection with it and rather than be frightened she was amazed but at the same time felt calm. She was only aware of one being in the room, and for some reason felt that this was the being who had been communicating with her on previous occasions, although it did not tell her this directly. She also had the sense that the being was male. She stared into the beings eyes for what seemed like 5 minutes. The ET did not change position and continued to stare right back at her. After this time she suddenly felt very relaxed and drowsy and actually fell back off to sleep while still staring at it. Linda does not feel that she was abducted after she blacked out, as there were no signs to suggest this may have been the case when she awoke in the morning. Beeping Noises Ever since her possible abduction, Linda occasionally hears a strange sound in her ears. It sounds like a long beep noise. It does not seem linked to any particular location or time of day. This rules out the possibility that the noise is coming from a nearby electrical device. Linda has been to see her GP about the noises to find out if there is anything wrong with her ears. He informed her that the noises do not go on for long enough or happen often enough for tinnitus to be the explanation. It sometimes occurs in the presence of others, who have informed Linda that they cannot hear it. Linda has noted that it sometimes occurs when she is thinking about her experiences. This link is interesting and perhaps suggests that it is to do with a memory block which has been put in place to stop Linda remembering what has happened. Psychological Standpoint Linda suffers from depression, and in 2011 decided to go and see a psychologist about it. It is unknown whether this issue is a side effect of her contact experiences. While speaking with the psychologist, she decided to inform them about these experiences. She expected him to inform her that she was hallucinating or going mad, but instead she was told that there is no evidence of this from her mental state. He also told her that she does not show any signs of having a serious psychological problem. Also he did not believe she was lying about what had taken place. Conclusion Linda has had some interesting experiences which suggest that she may be a contactee. The fact that she has had visions of Greys in her room and other strange dreams about them is of course very compelling, as is the incident where she remembers being in an unusual metallic room and seeing a strange entity appear in her bedroom. However we must take into account the fact that she had looked into the UFO subject prior to these experiences, and knew what Greys looked like. Some of her experiences are a little unusual. I do not believe the birthing dream actually took place for reasons stated earlier in this report. Also the purple glowing being that she reported seeing was very strange indeed, and could well have just been down to a dream. There are also the unusual incidents which have happened to her at night time – the popping ears, flashes of light and sounds similar to voices. Could these be signs that she has been in communication with the ETs, even though the full message was not distinguishable? Or have these incidents merely been down to hypnagogia? It is a recognised fact that individuals in this state can see, hear and feel very bizarre things. One of the recognised symptoms of hypnagogia is hearing what sounds like unclear and fragmented speech, exactly like Linda has reported. So at this point in time it cannot be ruled out as the explanation. Looking at the case as a whole, while I do not feel that everything she has experienced has definitely been ET related I still believe that Linda could well be a contactee. It seems some of her memories are currently blocked out. In due course she may be regressed and she may gain a clearer picture of what has taken place. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Originally forwarded by Richard Hall Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 24/04/2011 In late March 2011, Mark Murphy from Wexford in Ireland had a sighting of a strange flash of light in the night sky. He is unsure whether this flash was UFO related or not, but decided to get in touch with me via Richard Halls website to report it anyway. Incident Details It was 9.38pm on 23rd March 2011. Mark was walking between his house and his studio. It was a very clear night with good visibility and the stars fully visible. The moon was not in sight at the time. He suddenly noticed something out of the corner of his eye up in the sky. He quickly looked and noticed a strange oval shaped flash of white light. It only lasted a split second but was quite unlike anything he had seen before. Mark was puzzled by what he had seen, but did not tell anyone else about the incident. Incident Analysis Mark was certain that the flash he saw was not a meteorite, he sees these all the time as where he lives is quite remote. He has also seen the international space station on numerous occasions and knows how to recognise it. There is no light pollution. He lives out on farmland 15 miles to the nearest town, so the flash could not have been caused by a searchlight or laser light from a night club. It was a clear night sky so the flash could not have been caused by sheet lightning. If it was a helicopter or aircraft at high altitude then it would have continued to be visible, not just flashed for a brief moment. The only other suggestions I have that may explain the flash would be either a piece of space debris briefly caught in the sun’s rays, or unusual atmospheric light phenomenon. However neither of these suggestions really explain what was seen to a sufficient level, I cannot say for certain what caused the flash. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Originally forwarded by Richard Hall In early April 2010 Ryan (Name changed for privacy reasons) got in touch with me via Richard Hall’s website about an unusual experience he had in Scunthorpe around 1988. Unfortunately he has not got back to me with additional information so all I have so far is the initial notes he sent through, which this report is based on. Incident Details Ryan claims that on the night in question he had been round his girlfriend’s house and was walking home on his own. It was about 10.30-10.45pm and was a clear night. He claims that when he looked up the sky appeared to be strange colours in a “star burst effect coming down in a conical shape”. In the centre was a perfect circle through which the clear night sky could be seen. The phenomenon covered the whole sky as far as he could see. As he looked, he could see ripples in the colours coming downward towards the centre point. Ryan remembers thinking that he must get home and ring his friends to tell them about what was happening so that they could see it too. As he looked into the sky the gain of knowledge kept coming to his mind for some reason, as well as a particular poem that he knew of. He was awestruck and felt really peaceful. At some point he walked under an orange street lamp. When he came out of the other side of the glow from this light, the sky looked normal again. Ryan feels that the walk took a lot longer than it should have, although he says this could have been just because he was so enthralled with what was happening. Ryan has not stated if anyone else was around at the time and also saw the phenomenon. Incident Analysis If this phenomenon really was present and covering the whole sky then it surely would have been widely reported and filmed by people. Therefore it seems obvious that only Ryan could see this taking place. There is a possibility that this was brought on by a medical condition he was experiencing. I assume that he had not ingested any drugs at the time, however as he did not contact me back I have no way of verifying this. The fact that Ryan got in touch with me suggests that he feels what happened may have been related to ET contact or some sort of extraterrestrial-related event. This is a possibility, however he did not actually hear any voices speak to him at the time nor did he see any UFOs or ET beings. I feel that it is more likely to have been something unusual occurring with his own vision at the time. The way in which the sky returned to normal as he walked under an orange street light would back up this explanation, as the glow from the light could have righted whatever was happening. Birmingham UFO Group Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 28/02/2011 On the afternoon of 8th February 2011 Leona (name changed for privacy reasons) decided to head out into Saint Helens where she lives to take some photographs. She has a pen pal who lives abroad, and wanted to give her an idea of where she lives. She went out on her mountain bike, and took some photos using her Samsung 3.2 Mega Pixel Fully Automatic camera. The photos included one at Victoria Park which she took at 1.20pm. It was a sunny day, still with patchy cloud. Soon after taking the photo at the park, Leona noticed a very strange looking man. He was in the bushes and appeared to be looking for something on the ground. He was very tall, about 7 feet in height. He looked quite old and had long grey hair in a pony tail and a pointed grey beard. He was dressed in very unusual clothes – tight fitting white lycra top and leggings, silver high heeled boots, a leather tunic and long green velvety cape. He was also wearing a large silver medallion around his neck and some wrap around sunglasses. He was holding a metallic walking stick. Leona thought to herself “Wow far out!” as she passed him. Leona returned home and after lunch decided to check the photographs she had taken on her computer. When she got to the photo taken in Victoria Park she was so shocked she almost fell off her chair! Below is the photograph that she was confronted by: 📷 The photo was taken in the middle of Victoria Park facing towards Bishop Road. As you can see there is what appears to be a large black cigar-shaped object in the sky above the park. Leona wondered if the strange man she had seen was somehow connected and could even have been an ET. She phoned her father and sent him the photo. He had a look at it and two hours later got back to her, telling her that it appeared to be a solid object rather than a camera glitch, and that she should send it off for further analysis. It appears to be an object of some kind rather than just a camera anomaly as its surface appears curved with light and shadow. However it is not casting any shadow on the ground - it is very unlikely that the object would have appeared on digital camera but not been seen with the naked eye or cast a shadow. Sometimes UFOs can be invisible and show up on infra red, but you would expect any solid object picked up by a digital camera to be visible when not looking through the camera as well. It is interesting to note that the base of the object narrowly misses the tops of the tree line right across the photo. This is more than likely just a coincidence, rather than being proof that the object is above the trees and avoiding them on purpose. The blurred edges suggest that it is a small object falling past the camera lens at the time of taking the photo, perhaps a black seed pod of some kind. It is out of focus because the camera is focusing on the park. I feel this is the most probable explanation for the photograph. The unusual man seen nearby was probably just eccentric rather than being an extraterrestrial visitor. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 12/12/2010 Sighting Details At 6.30am early in the morning of 27th November 2010, Julian Andreano and his girlfriend Michelle were about to get some sleep after staying up most of the night watching DVDs at Julian’s house on Renfrew Close, Wordsley. It was still dark, and just before getting into bed, Julian pulled back the blind on the bedroom window to peer outside. He looked out over the back garden of the house. It was a clear but cold morning with frost on the ground, and the moon was visible in the sky. Aerial map of Renfrew Close: 📷 Suddenly Julian noticed a light enter his view from the window to the left. He looked and saw what appeared to be a spherical shaped object with flames running through it. The object was about 40 feet in the air and was about 50 feet from his location. It was moving on a straight level course at about 20-30 mph, heading in an Easterly direction. Julian called Michelle to come and have a look at the object. She walked across the room and looked out. By this time Julian had been watching it for about 10 seconds. Michelle just about caught sight of the object when suddenly it massively increased in acceleration and shot away, increasing in altitude as it went. Julian estimates it moved at over 500 mph. Within 8 seconds it was a dot on the horizon and vanished out of sight. Witness drawing of the UFO and the route it took: 📷 The couple discussed what they had just seen. Julian felt privileged and excited to have seen such a thing. He felt that it was definitely something out of this world. Later in the morning he spoke of the sighting with his parents, who believed him and were as intrigued by it as he was. Sighting Analysis This is a very interesting sighting due to the manoeuvres displayed by the object. Usually sightings of orange or fiery orbs of light can be put down to Chinese lanterns. However the object seen in this case does not appear to have been a lantern due to the massive increase in speed that it suddenly performed. Even if it was caught in a strong gust of wind it would not have moved at the speed described by the witnesses. It also appeared to be quite close to the witnesses’ location, if it was a lantern this would have been quite obvious. The time the object was seen at also suggests it wasn’t a lantern. It is possible that one could be launched at this time of course, but usually lanterns would be launched from celebrations either late evening or in the early hours of the morning, not just before sunrise. As it was moving quite slow at the start of the sighting it cannot have been a meteorite. It was clearly not a conventional aircraft or helicopter. It is very unlikely to have been an earth light, as these do not appear over populated areas. Could the object have been a genuine advanced craft of some kind, perhaps an unmanned scouting craft? I feel that this is a possibility that must be considered in this case, due to the points mentioned above. Perhaps the flames seen were some kind of energy field around it, or perhaps it was actually burning hot. But there is still the chance that it was a lantern and that it appeared to be moving much faster than it in reality was. We will probably never know for certain, and due to the time of morning the sighting occurred at it is unlikely there were many, if any, other witnesses to it. Birmingham UFO Group Report Originally forwarded from Richard Hall Author: Dave Hodrien Last Updated: 21/11/2010 Sighting Details At 8.30pm on 20th October 2010, Mikey was dropping his girlfriend off in Carelton after an evening out. Due to the time of year it was already darkin the sky, but was a clear evening and the stars could be seen. After his girlfriend went inside, a light in the sky to the South caught Mikey's attention. Looking into the sky he was amazed to see a black triangular shaped craft. It was about 500 metres from his location. It looked about 30 feet in length. On the underside of the craft were four lights. There was a bright yellow light at each corner and then a central red light which was flashing. Mikey is interested in UFOs and so immediately felt that it was an extraterrestrial craft. After about two minutes it suddenly began moving away to the South in the direction of Rotherham/Barnsley. It was moving slower than a plane would, and he continued to watch it until it had gone out of sight. Five days later while at work, Mikey read an article in The Sun newspaper about a daylight sighting of a triangular-shaped UFO in Rotheram, complete with a photograph. The article did not give the date of the sighting, but Mikey wondered if it was possible that this was the same craft he had seen, as it had flown off in the direction of Rotherham. This type of craft has been seen many times all around the world, especially over the last couple of decades. The colour, shape, size and lighting configuration that Mikey mentions are both commonly reported, although not always identical (for example, sometimes the central light does not flash). As the object hovered still for two minutes it cannot have been a conventional aircraft. This lighting configuration does not fit with it being a helicopter, also it was completely silent, if it was a helicopter Mikey would certainly have been able to hear it. It appeared to be too large to be a remote controlled model, and is very unlikely to have been a lit inflatable object. Some people believe that flying triangles are actually a secret military project, however if this were the case they would not fly them over populated towns. Also they have been seen to perform very advanced manoeuvring capabilities and move at incredible speeds, and this craft type has also been reported in numerous contact cases involving alien abduction or sightings of beings. For these reasons I believe that these craft are extraterrestrial in origin. The image that appeared in The Sun is apparently a fake. Another researcher has discovered that the main photograph in the article is from a completely different case about a daylight meteor seen over Bristol in August 2010. Birmingham UFO Group Report Originally forwarded by Richard Hall Author: Dave Hodrien Last Updated: 04/11/2010 For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used Sighting Details Nicky lives in the East Midlands and uses a wheelchair. At 1.14pm on the afternoon of 17th October 2010 she was waiting outside her flat for her friend to collect her. She had a portable CD player and was playing some gentle music while staring up at the blue sky, thinking how peaceful it was. It was a clear and sunny day with no clouds visible. Suddenly two large spherical-shaped objects flew into view almost overhead but a bit forward from her position. Their colour was like a paler version of the colour of the sky. On each there was a darker area on the right hand side. Nicky estimates they were about half the size of a small aircraft. They appeared to be lower in altitude than low lying clouds would usually be. At first Nicky thought they were two planes about to collide with one another as they were flying towards each other. However they did not collide, but instead started to move back and forth near to each other, dancing around. This lasted for between 5-10 minutes. After this time they lined up one behind the other and then both flew away at an incredible velocity. They moved so fast when they went that they vanished from sight in just a brief moment. During the experience, Nicky noted that time almost seemed to slow down, she felt very relaxed and peaceful while watching the UFOs and lost all comprehension of the passage of time. Afterwards she felt warm all over and was in shock at what she had just witnessed. When her friend turned up she told him about what she had seen, and also called her daughter to tell her about it. Sighting Analysis The appearance of the UFOs in this sighting sounds quite unusual. Usually spherical UFOs seen are silver in colour, yet these objects were a light blue with small darker areas. However it is possible that they in fact were silver but were highly reflective and reflecting the blue sky. Or perhaps they were even semi-translucent, so the sky could be partially seen through them. Another possibility is that they were using advanced stealth technology to partially disguise their presence. This was suggested to me by another UFO researcher from Texas, who informed me that he has learnt from military sources that some ET craft have the ability to project an image of the sky onto the side facing the witness. But this projected image is always either slightly paler or slightly darker than the actual sky. They can even project images of clouds to blend in with the background. The US government is apparently working on this technology for military purposes. Both the appearance of the objects and the manoeuvres they performed are very interesting. They certainly did not appear to be conventional aircraft or helicopters. They could not have been inflatable's due to the dancing patterns they performed followed by the speed at which they left the area. The objects clearly appeared to be aware of one another and under intelligent control. It was a clear day so it is unlikely that they were simply covered by a cloud. Many UFOs have been reported making similar manoeuvres to what Nicky observed all around the world, and this has all the signs of a genuine sighting. The way time seemed to slow down for Nicky is another interesting point, other witnesses have reported similar things before so this may well have been something specific which was taking place. Unfortunately I have not been able to get in touch with Nicky after receiving her initial E-Mail, so currently have no further information on this incident. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Originally forwarded from Richard Hall Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 09/09/2010 This report covers a very interesting case which appears to involve at least one, possibly multiple, abductions of a lady by the ET species we usually refer to as the Mantids. This race is called so because they have many similarities in appearance to the Praying Mantis. Anne (name changed for privacy reasons) knows very little about UFOs or ET contact, and was amazed to find out that the being she had described has been reported in numerous contactee cases. Voices From The Graves When she was young, Anne would be told off by her parents if she spoke of anything out of the ordinary. On the route to her school she had to walk through a cemetery. Sometimes she could hear the voices of the dead people actually speaking to her. They would ask her what her name was or where she was going. She was not frightened by this and used to respond and speak back to them! One day her mother heard her talking back to the graves and asked her what she was doing. When Anne told her she could hear the dead speaking to her, her mother got very angry. She told her that people would think she was crazy and ordered her not to do it again. After this incident, Anne could still hear the same voices as before. In the end this led to her mother actually changing Anne’s primary school so she would no longer need to walk through the graveyard. Anne could only remember hearing the voices at this one cemetery. She has visited other cemeteries since but no longer hears anything. This is fascinating, and appears to be something more than just childhood imagination. Surely Anne would not have dreamed up these voices she heard, especially after her mother got angry at her because of it? Could she really have been hearing the voices of the dead? If so this points towards her having heightened senses. Many contactees report gaining psychic-type abilities through their experiences. Could this apparent gift that Anne possessed have been gained through contact from an early age? Or is it completely unrelated to her contact experiences? Initial Mantid Abduction The first unusual experience which Anne can remember took place when she was 8-10 years old. At the time she was living with her parents, brother and sister in Corlton, Manchester. She shared a bedroom with her sister. As it happened many years ago, Anne’s memory is vague on some of the details of the incident. She feels that nothing happened out of the ordinary on the evening before the experience. The incident comes back to her as vivid memories, which at the time she assumed was a nightmare. Her first memory was of being aboard some kind of vehicle. There were no windows and many rows of double seats, which reminded her of the layout of a coach. Anne does not remember seeing any kind of area for the driver to sit in towards the front. There were lots of other people sitting on the seats as well as herself. Next to her was sitting a man with blond hair. There was a central isle between the rows of seats, and in this isle was a strange creature. It looked like a very tall praying mantis. Its skin/exoskeleton was a dark green colour. It had very large eyes which curved around the sides of the head, with a small nose and mouth. The being was about 7-8 feet in height. It was wearing long robes with a large hood which was down exposing its head. The robes were either purple or red in colour, and looked similar to thick velvet. The sleeves of the robes were bell shaped, so were hanging loosely on the being’s arms. These arms were again similar to a Praying Mantis, and were bent down at the elbow with pointed ends and no visible hands. Anne doesn’t remember the being moving, she just remembers it standing over her. She was either trying to talk to the man, or upset and crying. The man was friendly and trying to comfort her. This appeared to anger the being and Anne remembers it giving her some kind of electric shock that was quite painful. She does not remember any direct communication from the being, it appeared quite emotionless. However she feels that it may have communicated by telepathy. When she thinks about the experience she gets the recurring message in her head – “Now you know what you must do”. She currently has no idea what this relates to. Anne’s next memory is of being in a large open room. She does not remember how she got from the vehicle with the seats to this room. There were lots of people in the room, at least a hundred. The room was filled with rows and rows of bunk beds covered in white sheets. She was on the lower bunk of one of these, with the blond haired man on the upper bunk. He came down from it and hugged her, telling her not to worry (She cannot remember his exact words). There was a bright white light filling the room which seemed to permeate everywhere, there did not appear to be a specific source of this light. Anne says that this place is where people had to stay. Some of the other people appeared to be quite traumatized by what was happening, but the mantis being would not let them speak. Anne does not remember what happened next, her next memory is of waking up terrified. She cried for a while afterwards, but did not call her parents or wake her sister. In the morning she told her mother about what she remembered, and her mother said it must have been a bad dream. However it felt much more real and vivid than a dream would usually feel; Anne still remembers many of the details of it to this day. However she also feels that some of what she experienced may have been blocked out. This is a fascinating experience and I feel that what Anne remembers may well be memories from an abduction. It is unknown whether the abduction actually took place on the night in question, or whether she was vividly remembering a previous experience, but the former option seems more likely. When Anne got in touch she had no idea that what she had described was a Mantid, a species which has been reported many times before, although they are not seen as commonly as some of the other species. Many people believe the Mantids are a benevolent race, and if there is a hierarchy between ET species they are thought to be high up in this hierarchy. The long hooded robes that the Mantid was wearing are also commonly reported, which is yet more evidence that this was more than just a strange dream. The coach-like vehicle she found herself on accompanied by the blond haired man is interesting, and could have been a transportation craft of some kind. The fact that the vehicle had no windows or apparent driving setup tends to support this theory. Was the blond haired man sitting next to her another abductee, or could he too have been an extraterrestrial? The species known as the Nordics are reported as having blond hair, could he have been a Nordic who was there to accompany her to her destination? This is only a possibility to consider, there is nothing else which would suggest this. The lack of emotion shown by the being is another commonly reported factor. The fact that it appeared to be stopping people from speaking or interacting gives the experience a negative almost hostile edge. What were the people being taken for? What plans did the Mantids have for them? Why were they not allowing them to interact with one another? Was the large room Anne then found herself in aboard a large spacecraft? The glowing white light coming from all around is very commonly reported during contact experiences. However what of the rows of bunk beds she saw? This aspect gives the experience a more earthly aspect, although it is entirely possible that the ETs had created these on purpose to appear familiar to Anne and the other people present. Or could some aspects of the experience be a screen memory? The ETs have the ability to mask their own appearance and also the appearance of their surroundings, often adjusting things to appear more familiar. It is unknown whether anything else took place during this experience, although it does seem probable. There would be no reason for the Mantids to take so many people without interacting with them in any way at their destination, and then simply return them. It is possible that hypnotic regression would reveal further memories of what took place. Other Contact Experiences While Anne does not remember seeing Mantids on any other occasions, there are a number of signs that suggest she may have been taken at other times. Sometimes when she is lying down in bed on her own, the bed starts to gently shake, and when it does this she will always fall off to sleep immediately, almost like she is being sedated. On other occasions she has felt a presence in the room. Again when this occurs she will suddenly feel very sleepy. Sometimes she has fought against this sleep, then jumped up out of bed and either put the light on or gone and got her partner. On one particular occasion she saw a shadowy figure standing next to her bed. It appeared to be about 3 feet in height, and was covered completely in a robe, with a hood covering over the head. It was quite stocky in build. As it was dark in the room she could not make out any details, it was just an outline. When she saw this figure she got extremely frightened. She leapt up out of the bed and ran out of the room. Some of what Anne is describing here could be explained away as side effects of the condition known as sleep paralysis. This is where the body starts to drop off to sleep, but then becomes conscious. However from what Anne has said, she does not appear to be paralysed during these experiences – she is often able to actually get up out of bed. She does not recall being paralysed on any of these occasions, including the incidents where the bed has shaken. I feel that there is certainly the possibility that these experiences are the result of further visitations and abductions. Most of the time memories of contact are blocked out from the conscious mind. This is probably deliberate, and done so that the contactee has no idea they have been taken. Could Anne have undergone experiences which she currently has no recollection of? UFO Sightings Anna has now moved to Spain where she lives with her partner and children. She and her partner have witnessed UFOs in the sky numerous times. Anna says the sky is very clear after dark so it is easy to spot things which are out of the ordinary. Many times they have seen objects which at first appear to be stars in the sky, but then suddenly descend rapidly. She wonders if military planes are the explanation behind some of these sightings. They have also seen a pulsating white light at high altitude that moved across the sky in a pulsing motion similar to a jellyfish. I hope to obtain further details on these incidents from Anna soon. Anger Manifestation On numerous occasions Anne has apparently remotely affected objects around her when she has got angry. She says that electrical objects in her proximity such as electric car windows and TVs have inexplicably stopped working, and then later on will work fine again. One time she went out to her local shop, just round the corner from her house. On the way home, she had an argument with a neighbour. When she got back home she took out her front door key and found that it had bent in half. She was certain it had been fine when she locked the door on the way out, and had not consciously bumped into anything which could have caused such damage to the key. She believes it is possible that her own anger had somehow caused it. Conclusion I certainly feel that Anna may be a repeat contactee. Although many aspects of her experience at 8-10 years old are unusual, I feel that the fact she accurately described a Mantid being without any prior knowledge of them is too much of a coincidence. Also other aspects of the experience fit with contact, such as the large room bathed in bright white light. Her other experiences point towards further contact which she cannot currently remember the details of. A hypnotic regression may be a way that Anna could remember further details of her experiences, although because of where she now lives it is unlikely I will be able to arrange this for her, at least in the near future. Other things she has experienced suggest that she may have psychic abilities or heightened senses, something often reported by contactees. Add to that the fact she has has numerous UFO sightings where many go through their whole life without seeing one. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Originally forwarded from Richard Hall Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 30/08/2010 Most sightings reported to BUFOG are from around the UK. But occasionally we receive a sighting in from further afield. This report covers a very interesting UFO sighting which took place in Pakistan in 2005. Sighting Details It was 9.12pm on the evening of 19th September 2005. Khalid Latif and his uncle Sardar Mumtaz Hussain were sitting and talking out on the large balcony of his uncle’s house in Rawalakot, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. Other family members were inside the house at the time. The house is located on a mountain range, offering a fantastic view in all directions. It was a clear evening and the sun had set so the moon and stars were fully visible in the sky. Suddenly out of nowhere, a massive glowing white oval shaped object appeared in the sky to the North West West. The object was so bright that it immediately caught the attention of both the witnesses. They were both completely stunned by the appearance of the object. There were no visible markings. It appeared to be quite large in size, Khalid estimates about the size of a football pitch. It was hard to judge the exact height of the object, but it was at quite low altitude, about the height a helicopter would fly at. Drawing of the UFO. Khalid says that the actual object was glowing much brighter: 📷 The UFO was over some mountains with sporadic housing on the outskirts of Rawalakot. It was moving to the West at a slow speed, and also very slowly gaining in altitude. Khalid wanted to call one of his other uncles to also come and see the object, but to do so he would have to have moved from his position and this is something he was not willing to do at the time, he was mesmerized by the object. Map showing the estimated location of the UFO and the location of the witnesses: 📷 After 15 seconds the object began to fade in brightness then suddenly “switched off” and completely vanished. After it had gone, both witnesses discussed what they had just seen. It was so unlike anything they had seen before they could not come up with any reasoning which could explain it. Khalid sensed a degree of fear coming from his uncle. At the back of his mind he knew about the UFO phenomenon and thought that this is what the object could have been. Both the witnesses told the rest of the family about what they’d seen. They were curious at first but could not relate to the experience so soon forgot about it. Sighting Analysis This is a very impressive sighting with numerous interesting aspects to it. Most of the usual alternative explanations can be disregarded in this particular case. The appearance of the object was nothing like any conventional aircraft, and it also appeared to be much too large. The fact that the object suddenly appeared out of nowhere, and then disappeared without trace was impressive. It was a clear night so there is no chance that the object simply appeared from behind some cloud and then was hidden behind cloud again. It was too high off the ground to be hidden behind something else such as nearby mountains, and if it was this would have been more obvious. The object was much too large to have been a model of some kind and is unlikely to have been an earth light due to the oval shape and brightness. Could it have been a large balloon/inflatable of some kind, perhaps an LED blimp? Could the witnesses have been mistaken about the actual size of the object? This is a possibility to consider, but I find it very hard to believe that an LED blimp was in the skies over Pakistan back in 2005, they are still relatively new technology. Also an LED blimp would generally be continuously lit or would flash on and off. If this were the explanation then the light inside would have to have been radio controlled, and the owner would have just lit it up randomly before switching it back off, a very unlikely possibility. Also Khalid said that the object appeared instantly but when it vanished, it at first faded gradually before switching off. If it was an electronic light that was being turned on and off, it would have vanished just as fast that it appeared. The unlit object may well have still have been visible, blocking out the stars, but this was not the case. It was as if the object had completely vanished from the area or had made itself invisible. I feel that in this particular instance, the most likely explanation for the object is that it was a genuine advanced craft, probably of extraterrestrial origin. The sighting certainly made a lasting impression with the witnesses. It is possible that something so bright was seen by others in the area who have yet to come forward.
