Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Last Updated: 26/10/2013 Introduction For most of his life Zack has had to deal with unusual, often frightening experiences. These have included memories of being outside his house during the night, being paralysed and surrounded in white light. Missing periods of time he cannot account for. Being held by forces against his will. Strange markings found on his body. He has always brushed aside these experiences and tried to go on with his life as normally as possible. However in 2012 he decided to look into the alien abduction phenomenon on the internet. What he found shocked him. He realised that much of what he had experienced seemed to fit in with details from other contact cases. In looking into the subject, he began to get vivid flashbacks to what had taken place over the years. Not knowing what to make of what he discovered, in summer 2013 he decided to get in touch with BUFOG to seek answers and further understanding of his experiences. This report provides a detailed overview of Zack’s experiences which go right back to childhood. Cone-Shaped UFO Abduction The first unusual experience which Zack can recall took place in 1989-1990 when he was between 7-9 years old. He believes it took place in July or August during the summer school holidays. At the time he was living with his family in a council estate called Lansbury Park in Caerphilly, Wales. One night he remembers finding himself outside of his home. He was wearing the clothing he had gone to bed in – a white T-Shirt and pyjama bottoms. The sky was dark and all the lamp posts were on. The weather conditions were clear and it felt warm considering it was night time. Zack believes it must have been between 2-4am but he had no watch on him so cannot be certain. He walked down the garden and along the street, Graham Court. He remembers walking past houses along a part of the road known as “The Stretch”, and arriving at the nearby youth club building. Photograph of Graham Court Youth Club: Aerial map of Graham Court, showing the position of the youth club: He continued onward a couple of roads to some rural farm land just off the A438 which lies along the outskirts of Lansbury Park and St Helens. He began to walk along “the track”, a pathway that leads alongside some open fields surrounded in trees and bushes. He had been to the area many times before when playing with friends. He looked round and saw a tall cone-shaped UFO hovering near to him. The main body of the object was either black or dark green in colour. It appeared to be split into layers or segments, and on each segment was a shimmering green coloured light, which Zack says could have been windows. There were also larger green lights on the base of the object. Aerial map showing location where the UFO was situated: It was about 100 yards away from him, and at a height of about 50 feet above the tree line. The object seemed quite large in size, about 70-100 feet across. When asked to describe the shape of the object Zack informed me “It was cone shaped not so much a traffic cone but it was that sort of shape. It is hard to describe but it was like a spinning top but the top half is more stretched out If I could best describe it was like a sea shell the ones that look like a spiral – swirly looking shells.” Witness drawing of the UFO: The UFO began to move slowly towards him. Suddenly after about 30 seconds, Zack suddenly found himself surrounded in white light. This light caused his body to become numb and he felt weightless. He felt like he was floating but does not actually remember lifting off the ground towards the object. After this he does not recall much of what took place. He remembers being paralysed and feeling very frightened. He also recalls lying on his left side on a flat cold metallic table of some kind. He thinks that at this point his T-shirt may have no longer been on him, but he cannot be certain. There was a light above the table which seemed to obscure most of the surroundings from view, it was just dark. His next clear memory was of being put down on the ground by the white light. He was in a lying down position and was gently floating back down until he touched the ground. The white light then faded away very quickly. Zack got back up to his feet. He looked up and saw the UFO in the same position it had been before. It remained hovering for about 20-30 seconds, then began to move away  in the direction of Rudry Mountain. It began at a slow speed but then sped up and flew away fast and was soon lost from sight. After it had departed he felt  both physically and mentally drained, and his body was tingling like it was still partially numb. He felt very confused and light headed. He knew that something had taken place but that somehow he had been forced to forget the details. Zack cannot recall walking back to his house. He just found himself waking up in the morning back in his room. He no longer felt drained of energy, but did recall the details of what had taken place. He just assumed it must have been a strange dream. Because of this he did not tell anyone about it and soon forgot about what had occurred. It was only when he looked into contact in 2012 that he realised the similarities to an abduction experience. Ever since he has wondered if the experience actually took place. Looking back at the incident Zack has no idea of why he walked out over the farmland. He did not feel like he was being controlled to go there but he does find it strange that he would walk down there alone in his night clothes. Surely he would have just walked back to bed or gone and woke his parents in such a situation? This experience has many links with contact, and I feel it is likely that Zack was taken on this occasion. It is unlikely that he would have dreamt up something so similar to an abduction without prior knowledge of the subject. The white light projected from a hovering craft, the feeling of weightlessness, his memories of being on a flat metallic table under a bright light, the after effects and feeling of being drained of energy, the realisation that memories had been blocked out – All themes very commonly reported by contactees. I have investigated other cases where individuals have got out of bed and left their home, then been abducted from a specific location in their local vicinity. In all of these cases the location they have been taken from has been rural or out of the public eye, such as over farmland or in the middle of a large open park. Perhaps Zack was led to the area of farmland because there would be less likelihood of the UFO being observed by other witnesses at that location. The appearance of the craft itself was quite unusual. I have looked into other cases of UFOs with green lights on them, but the segmented cone shape is far from common. Unless Zack decides to go for a hypnotic regression, we may never find out any more about what took place aboard the craft. While blocked out memories of contact can sometimes come back naturally or can be triggered by seeing specific things that remind the individual, often they remain unknown. It is possible to sometimes retrieve these memories using regression, but at present Zack is not interested in pursuing this. Lit Disc UFO Sighting In late summer of 1989 or 1990 was out with three friends on Snowden Court. It had just got dark and the time was between 9-10pm. The weather was warm and dry, and the stars were visible in the sky overhead. Zack and his friends looked out over the area of farmland where he had been previously taken from (At the time Zack just put this down to a dream so was not bothered by this fact). Aerial map of Snowden Court: To the East roughly 2-3 miles away the boys suddenly noticed a flattened disc-shaped object. It was hovering over the hillside at about 700-1000 feet altitude. It looked quite large in size. It was hard to tell the colour of the main body of the object as it was covered in red and yellow flashing lights. These lights seemed to be randomly flashing on and off with no discernible pattern to them. It appeared to be completely silent. Photograph of the sighting location in the direction the UFO was seen: Drawing of the disc-shaped UFO: The object remained stationary hovering in the air. The boys watched it for between 3-5 minutes. While they watched they joked with each other about it being a UFO, although they didn't really know  much about the subject at the time. They were sure that it was not an aircraft or helicopter. Zack says that he was used to seeing helicopters flying around the area. Even at a distance he was able to hear the rotor blades, yet this object did not make a sound. After looking at it for a while the boys started to turn and talk to each other. Zack kept glancing back at the UFO every few seconds. He didn't see it depart – it was just there one moment, gone the next time he looked. Zack does not recall seeing anything about the object in the papers or on TV afterwards, but the incident has remained clear in his mind ever since. Sadly I am not able to speak with any of the other witnesses about what happened as Zack has not kept in touch with them. Premonitions During his childhood Zack sometimes had dreams which then seemed to come true. An example of a dream of this type occurred when he was 10 years old. His best friend and their parents  had recently moved away from his neighbourhood elsewhere. Zack was upset about this, and one night he had a dream that they would see each other again. In the dream he walked up his street. The weather was calm and sunny. His friend was around the corner wearing a red jumper and blue jeans standing with another friend of his dressed in a black tracksuit. When he awoke the memories of the dream remained with him. Nearly a year later he was walking up the road when he suddenly had an overwhelming feeling that he had been there before. He knew straight away that the dream he had a year before was now coming true. Before he reached the corner of the road but he knew when he turned it his friends would be there. Sure enough when he did he saw them standing there in exactly the clothes he had seen in the dream! He had come back to visit the neighbourhood for the day. Zack had not been informed of this and had no way of knowing that he was going to be there on that particular date. From about the age of 12 he would also sometimes hear voices calling out to him and sometimes see things out of the corner of his eye which would then vanish. The voices he heard would usually either say his name or some form of short greeting. He would never hear full sentences. The voice would sometimes be male and sometimes female, but would usually sound muffled. He would usually hear it when he was walking outside on his own, it rarely occurred at night. Zack put these voices down to energy which he was somehow picking up on, a sixth sense ability. This seemed to go on till about age 16 and then stop occurring. These experiences are suggestive of psychic abilities which Zack possessed, or may still possess. Many contactees report having similar type experiences to this, and premonition dreams are very commonly reported. There appears to be a direct link between abilities of this type and ET contact, but what that link is has not yet been fully understood. Entity Attacks It wasn't until Zack was in his early 20's that something else out of the ordinary would occur. He and his parents now lived in a house near to Merthyr Tydfil. Around that time in his life he used to stay up very late. One summer night he went to bed around 1-2 am. As he was going off to sleep he remember feeling nervous and sick in his stomach, like he could sense something was wrong. He was in good health at the time so could not put the feeling down to illness. Something felt very negative and he was disorientated by it. After about an hour he managed to ignore the feelings and settle down to sleep. In the early hours of the morning he suddenly awoke without warning. When he opened his eyes he was greeted by a frightening sight. The room was quite dark, but due to a nearby street light he could make out furnishings in the room. The layout of the room was fine but the colours seemed all distorted, a mix of copper brown and purple. Directly over him floating in the air at about arms length was what appeared to be a dark cloaked figure. It was wearing a hood and had no face, just blackness. The cloak it was wearing appeared to be frayed and tattered at its edges. It appeared humanoid in shape with arms and legs, and was about 7 feet in height. He felt himself being pushed downward and then lifted. He tried to scream out for help but his voice came out very quiet and distorted, almost electronic sounding. It was not loud enough to wake up his parents in the other room. Zack reacted by trying to protect himself with his arms. Suddenly he was no longer in his room. He found himself in the back garden of the house. Again the colours were distorted as they had been in the bedroom. He was still wearing what he had gone to sleep in, a T-shirt and shorts. He felt the cold of the concrete under his feet and breathed in the fresh air. It was a pleasant night and the stars were out in the sky. Zack walked round the corner into the main area of the garden. Looking up he saw the black hooded figure. It was flying away into the sky at a very steep angle. It was already around 100-200 feet in the air. Its cloak moved as it slowly flew away, making it appear like a black flag blowing in the wind. Once it was no longer visible Zack recalls going back into the house. He then found himself back in his bed waking up. The colours in the room had gone back to normal. It felt like only a minute had gone by since he had re-entered the house from the garden, but as he did not check a clock at any point of the incident he cannot say for certain. It was still dark in the room. He remembered what he had seen and felt very shocked and nervous. What had taken place was quite traumatic. He glanced round the room, half expecting to see the shadowy figure there again, but it was gone. Zack got up out of bed and ran downstairs. He walked out into the garden still in his night clothes, looking up into the sky in the direction he had seen the figure depart. Other than the colours now being correct everything felt the same as it had done when the figure was present. The moon was in the same position in the sky. The positions of the clouds and stars in the sky appeared extremely similar to what he recalled. This convinced him that something very real had taken place and it had not just been a bizarre dream. Later on in the morning once his parents woke up Zack informed his mother about the incident. She informed Zack that she too had experienced similar things when she was younger, with beings appearing in the room during the night. He told some of his co-workers about what had happened. One of them suggested it was likely to be sleep paralysis, but whatever the explanation he felt shaken and puzzled by the experience. Zack recalls that for a period of years he did experience other similar incidents involving strange terrifying dreams or seeing figures in the room. On one of these other occasions when he was either 22 or 23 he remembers having a particularly un-nerving nightmare. In it he got out of bed and went to the window of his downstairs bedroom. He pulled back the curtain and peered outside onto the road. Standing there was a strange looking extremely tall man wearing a black jacket. His skin was a mottled mix of yellow, brown, green and grey colours. He appeared to be over 15 feet in height with long arms and legs. The man was facing to the right and slouching down. The tall man: Face of the tall man: Suddenly the man noticed Zack peering through the window at him and came towards the window, appearing to float along the ground. As he approached Zack felt a surge of energy pass through his body, similar to pins and needles. When the tall figure reached the outside of the window he passed right through into the room, grabbing Zack on the shoulders. His fingers felt cold to the touch. Zack screamed out for help but nobody seemed to hear. The figure pushed him down to the floor. At this point he blacked out, and the next thing he became aware of was waking up in the morning. On other occasions Zack would feel like he was being watched by something while he was in his room. This would usually occur at night time but occasionally he would also sense it in the day time. At night he would sometimes feel like something was standing right alongside the bed. He would lash out at it, either kicking out with his leg or trying to punch it. This would wake him up and he would find himself alone in the room. There are aspects of these experiences which fit with them being caused by sleep paralysis experiences rather than visitations or attacks by entities. During sleep paralysis the brain comes up with reasons for why the body cannot move, and this will sometimes take the form of indistinct shadowy figures or strange beings appearing in the room, often with a great sense of dread and evil. These figures will often proceed to hold down the individual in some way or they may sense they are being pulled in directions, just as Zack describes. Another common aspect of sleep paralysis is that when the individual tries to shout out they find they cannot or that they can only make slight noises. This too has been experienced during these incidents. The fact that Zack experienced similar things on multiple occasions for a period of years which then seemed to stop may suggest that for whatever reason he became more susceptible to sleep paralysis over those years. However  some parts of the experience featuring the dark hooded figure do not fit well with sleep paralysis. Generally sleep paralysis experiences are confined to the room which they take place in. However it is possible that this experience was caused by sleep paralysis that then led on to sleep walking or even an out-of-body experience, during which the vision of the shadowy being continued. The fact that the colours were distorted in both the bedroom and the garden shows that Zack was not in a normal waking state while either part of the experience was taking place. But there is still the possibility that the entity was real, this cannot be entirely ruled out. The fact that the sky and clouds appeared to be in the same positions when Zack ran back outside is evidence that suggests he had really been outside and it wasn't just a dream. If the figure was real, what was it? There is nothing in the experience particularly linking the entity seen with ETs or UFOs. Zack did not see a craft when he stepped outside, just the figure flying away. Nor did it appear similar to any known species of ET. Could it have been some kind of ghostly apparition? The Woman In Blue There were two other occasions where Zack woke up during the night to see a figure standing on the far side of the room. On both occasions this figure quickly faded away. The first time Zack saw the figure it was just a blurred humanoid shape. But on the second occasion, which occurred when Zack was 26, he had a clear view of a blonde-haired lady wearing a silvery-blue suit. She appeared to be about 5.5 feet tall and had a slender build and white skin. He observed her for about 5 seconds before she faded away. The woman who Zack saw in his room: These incidents are intriguing, due to the woman's similarities to a Nordic, one of the more commonly reported ET species. Nordics are almost always reported to have long blonde coloured hair, and are often seen to be wearing blue coloured body suits. Perhaps these visions were not down to sleep paralysis or ghosts, but were of a Nordic being who was watching over him. V-Shaped UFO Sighting In January 2004-5 Zack was on his way home from work at around 6.30-6.45 pm. Due to the time of year it was already dark. There was low level cloud and it had been raining earlier in the day so it was still damp. He got off the bus and was walking down the hill to his house, with a girl a short distance behind him on the path. His attention was drawn towards light up in the sky. Looking up he was amazed to see five massive round glowing lights in a V-shape. Between the lights he could just about make out a dark V-shaped object against the sky. This object appeared to be very large in size, Zack suggests it was at least 400 feet wide and 5-600 feet in length. The V-Shaped UFO: When he first spotted the object it was about a mile from his location. He watched it approach and fly right overhead, then continue into the distance, after which it entered the cloud and was lost from sight. It was moving quite fast, Zack estimates at least 300-400 mph. It took about 12 seconds to vanish into the distance. It was completely silent throughout. Zack did not have a mobile camera phone at the time and was not carrying a camera on him, so sadly was not able to photograph or video the object. Once it had gone, he turned to the girl behind him and exclaimed “What on earth was that?” They then discussed what they had just witnessed. The UFO was very large so there is the possibility that it was seen by other people elsewhere. However it was after dark and winter time so there were not many people around on the street. At the time Zack felt that he was just at the right place at the right time to see the object, but now he has looked into contact more he is not so sure, and wonders if it was there specifically to observe him. Due to the very large size of the object, its shape and lighting configuration, and complete lack of sound, I find it unlikely that it was an aircraft, military or otherwise. Zack was able to see a silhouette of the main body of the object so it was clearly a single large object rather than five individual objects flying in formation. It was moving too fast, and was too large to be a lit inflatable or hand glider. The sighting actually has some striking similarities with the craft seen during the infamous Phoenix Lights incident. Zack says that although he is now aware of this case and can see the similarities, he was not aware of it at the time of the sighting. The Green Being As stated in the introduction, in 2012 Zack began to look into the contact subject, and was astounded by how similar some of his experiences seemed to be to other reports. He began to wonder whether he too was a contactee. One night in November he began to experience what appeared to him at the time as a strange dream. In this dream a Grey being entered his bedroom and walked up alongside the left side of the bed (The right side was against a wall). It was about 5 feet in height. Its skin was a patchy green/brown colour. It had a slender body frame with long thin arms and hands. Zack thinks it had 3 or 4 fingers on each hand. The being’s head was disproportionately large when compared with its body. It’s head was shaped like a light bulb with a bulging cranium. It had large dark green coloured eyes with no pupils visible. It has a thin slit for a mouth. Zack does not recall seeing  a nose or ears. Photograph of a model which reminds Zack of the Grey which he saw: Instead of being frightened by the being, Zack greeted it like a friend and felt content with its presence. He felt calm and seemed to know who this being was, even though he could not recall seeing it before. He recalls having a short conversation with the being, but cannot remember exactly what was said. He remembers asking the being questions and getting answers almost instantly inside his head. It appeared the being was using telepathy to speak to him. Its mouth did not move when it spoke to him. The beings voice sounded slightly male in tone. The next thing he became aware of was of lying down on some kind of white padded bed. He was still in the T-shirt and shorts he had worn to bed. Looking around he found himself in a white walled room of a similar size to his bedroom. It was very bleak and he could make out no fixtures, furnishings or doorways. The walls and floor of the room seemed very bright almost like they were glowing. The ceiling was darker. The bed he was on was central in the room. It was quite long in length and continued a few feet further on past his body. He estimates it was 8-10 feet in length and 5-6 feet wide. Unlike the bed in his room, this one had no railings along the edges. It was also tipped up giving him a view of his surroundings. Zack thinks that possibly there was a couple of instruments, perhaps a panel, down near the base of the bed but he cannot remember. It felt different to lie on than the bed in his room, comfortable yet quite firm. Overview of the room: The Grey was now standing on his right. He felt very tired and lethargic and was not able to move much. But he was still alert enough to see what was taking place. The being appeared to be working on the inside of his left thigh around his groin. It was holding what appeared to be a metallic rod in its right hand. This instrument had a rounded handle with some buttons on it. The rod itself was cylindrical and a silvery-grey colour with a slight blue tint to it. It seemed to shimmer in the light, whereas the handle did not. The being was pressing the rod again and again against his inner thigh, almost in a stitching motion. There was a warm uncomfortable sensation but it didn't hurt. The instrument the Grey was holding: Zack asked the being “What are you doing to me?” To this question he got two mixed replies almost at the same time in his mind. One felt like annoyance, “Be quiet you pathetic thing!” The other was more caring, “Please stay still I have to do this.” The response which Zack had received from the being made him feel rather insecure and angry at the situation, which was heightened by the fact he could barely move. This was the last thing that Zack remembers about what was taking place. The next thing he became aware of he was waking up back in his room. It was around 9 am. He recollected what had happened during the night. It felt somewhat similar to a dream, but also seemed more vivid, more real. Due to his previous experiences he wondered whether it had actually take place. Zack remembered what the being had been doing on the inside of his left thigh. When he checked the location he was astounded to see a roughly triangular shaped red mark in the exact spot where the being had been pressing the rod-like instrument! He touched the marking and found that it felt a little tender. It was about 1 cm across. The centre appeared to be a straight edged triangle, but around the edge was a less distinct sore patch of skin. Because of its implications, Zack took a photograph of the marking. The marking on Zack's left thigh: He felt very calm about what had taken place, it almost felt to him like it was normal and had been planned. He thought about what he remembered for about 15-20 minutes. He was amazed at the amount of detail he could recall about certain things such as the bed he was lying on, the being and the instrument it had used on him. As he began to further wake up a name came to the front of his mind. For some reason he kept thinking the name Bruce. For some reason he felt that this was the name of the being, even though he realised how unlikely this would be. As he thought back to the experience Zack became more and more convinced that something had really happened to him and it had not just been a dream. He considered that perhaps he had damaged himself at some point before going to bed, and then his brain had conjured up the experience because of the irritation. But he felt quite certain that it had not been there when he had gone to sleep, and that it had been caused by something else. Later on in the day, Zack told his mother about what had happened. She thought it was strange but did not dwell on it any further. After about 3-4 days the marking on his thigh faded, and by a week it had completely gone. Looking back at the incident other names seemed to come to mind, Hector and either Thorne or Sorn. He had no idea of why he was thinking about these names or what they could mean. This is a very interesting experience which could well have been an abduction. We must take into account that this occurred after Zack had started looking into contact, so would have been familiar with the types of beings seen and the sort of things which can take place. You may feel that because of this, the incident was nothing more than a dream which Zack then believed was an abduction experience. However there are a number of factors which could suggest otherwise. Zack says that it felt far more vivid than simply a dream. This is the way that memories of contact often come back due to the fact it is night time, that the individual is often not in a normal frame of mind, and the high strangeness of the experience. The way in which Zack felt calm about the situation both during and after is also commonly reported. He felt that he knew the being he saw, even though he did not remember seeing it previously in his life. He knew what it was doing there and was relaxed about everything. This is often reported by contactees. The marking on his thigh is also evidence that points towards the experience being real. Zack did not know of anything that could have caused the marking before he went to sleep, and surely he would have noticed it if this was the case? The fact that the marking was at the exact place where the being was placing the metallic rod tends to suggest this was the cause. It’s obviously far from conclusive but is certainly valid and should be taken into account. If Zack really was abducted on this occasion then what observations can be made? The being was similar to a Grey in appearance, but was an unusual colour. Greys can sometimes be tinged green, but I have not had anyone else report one which was green and brown in patches, with dark green eyes. The rod-like instrument it was using on him has been reported by other contactees before, and is usually pressed against the skin in the manner which Zack stated. Its function is unknown at present, however as it was close to his groin it is possible it was related to the hybrid breeding program in some way. It is unlikely that the names Zack remembered after the experience are related to the being itself. Perhaps they were the name of other abductees he was either informed about by the being or even met aboard the craft. As some of his memories of the experience were clearly blocked out this is a possibility worth considering. Nordic Examination Soon after contacting BUFOG for the first time Zack had another abduction related dream. This time he found himself lying on his back on a table in a surgical looking room. The walls were white and silver with shelves and tables up against them. There were no visible light sources but a dim light seemed to fill the area. It was a square shaped area about 20 feet across. The table he was on was in the middle of the room. It was metallic silver, flat and smooth, with no padding or pillows. He found he was unable to either move or speak. This feeling of being trapped annoyed him more than frightened him. He appeared to be naked, but his lower half was covered by a thin white coloured sheet. Standing on his right at about waist level was a humanoid looking being. He appeared to be male and had pale skin and blond wavy hair. He realised this figure looked very similar to the drawings of Nordics he had seen on-line, and believed this is what the man was. The figure was wearing a white coloured coat, similar to a lab coat. He appeared to be observing Zack. He leaned in close to Zack's face as if inspecting him. Point of view drawing showing the room and Nordic being: Face and upper torso of the Nordic: As with his previous abduction experience, he did not feel like the experience was strange, it felt familiar to him. It just felt like he was being taken care of, like going for a routine check-up at the doctors. After a while of lying there, Zack got the idea to play dead to see how the man would react. At this moment the man seemed suddenly curious, it was as if he had heard his thoughts. He leant in over him very closely and observed his eyes, like he was trying to understand something. After the man did this Zack found that he could move a little more than before and could tilt his head towards him. He seemed ok that he had done that, and after this point left him alone. He walked to the end of the table and then off to the left out of view. Zack now had a better view around the room he was in. This was the last thing he remembered from the dream. He woke up to find it was morning time. Unlike the experience with the green being Zack did not feel like anything had taken place during the night. He viewed the memories as nothing more than a dream. This is of course entirely possible, perhaps it was just an abduction themed dream brought on by the fact he was looking into the subject and had got in touch with BUFOG. Even though it is unlikely anything took place on this occasion, there is still the possibility that the dream was in fact memories of a previous abduction experience; it is hard to say for sure either way. Orbs On numerous occasions Zack has seen white coloured orbs in the sky while outside. Most of the time these sightings only last for a few seconds - he just catches a glimpse of something fast moving overhead or a white flash of light. On 28th January 2013 he was out in his back garden. He was looking up into the sky when he suddenly noticed some flashes of light between the clouds. He grabbed his mobile camera phone and took a few pictures to see if he could capture anything. On most of the photos there was nothing but sky, but on one of the photos appeared two glowing white objects/lights. Zack feels certain that what is on the picture is what he was seeing with his eyes and not down to reflections or a camera anomaly. Photograph of the glowing UFOs: Zoomed view of the disc-shaped light: Zoomed view of the rounded light: Unfortunately the photographs sent to me has been saved in a manner which has lost much of the metadata, the data which sits behind photographic images. I would usually use this to determine authenticity. Although not possible in this case, there is no reason to believe that the images have been doctored in any way. Looking at the photographs it is hard to say whether the two "objects" are anything more than reflections of sunlight in the camera lens, but it is interesting that Zack noticed something with his naked eye which prompted him to take the photograph in the first place. Zack views the orbs he sees as some kind of energy manifestation. It is quite common for contactees to report seeing orbs either floating around their own house or outside in the sky. They could well serve an observational purpose of some kind. Body Markings As well as the marking which appeared on his inner thigh during his abduction experience in November 2012, Zack has found a number of other markings on his body which he cannot account for. In early 2013 Zack noticed a pale scar-like marking about 8 mm across on the right side of his stomach just above the belly button. It looked similar to a scratch but seems to be permanent. Photograph of stomach marking: There are also two permanent markings on his right leg.  One is on his inner leg is the shape and size of a pea. He first noticed this marking several years ago. In early 2013 he also found an indentation on his right knee cap. After reading into contact, Zack wonders if these could be scoop marks. Photograph of inner right leg marking: Photograph of right knee cap indentation: Even though any of these markings could in theory be linked with his contact experiences, they may just as easily be natural or caused by accidental damage. Zack cannot relate any of the markings to specific experiences, so unlike the marking on his inner left thigh there is not much evidence that they were caused by instruments used on him during abductions. Mind Processing Late evening on the 21st June 2013 Zack experienced something unlike anything which has taken place before. Most of the day was completely normal. He spent the evening watching TV, and then browsed the internet a while. It was around 11pm when he began to experience some very odd feelings in his stomach. At first he put it down to something he had eaten. But as the night progressed this feeling in his stomach increased in strength. His whole body began to get a heavy feeling. His limbs started to tingle a small amount. He did not feel sick or feverish. By about 3am the feelings were very intense. His whole body was tingling and felt sensitive. He began pacing up and down the stairs, and walking back and forth in the living room, with an overwhelming feeling of anxiety. By this time he had began to notice something else as well. His mind seemed to be processing information at incredibly fast speeds. He saw images in his head, maps and diagrams. These thoughts seemed to continuously pop into his head for no apparent reason. This continued for about an hour. Just after 4am Zack decided to go to bed and try to drop off to sleep. As soon as he closed his eyes in the darkened room he began to see in his mind sillouettes of beings and faces which were clearly not human. They looked humanoid with typical features, but were smaller or larger than humans would usually be. These images were combined with the diagrams, maps and sights of incredible landscapes. It was completely overwhelming his senses. He felt like someone was coming for him or was going to do something against his consent. For brief moments he managed to switch his mind off, but the images would soon return even more intensely than before. Zack felt sure that something was going to come and take him away again. In his mind he refused this, saying to himself “No I won’t go!” again and again. In the end he began to actually shout it out into the darkness of the room. Around 5am he either passed out through exhaustion or was purposely blacked out. He then found himself in familiar surroundings. Just as with previous experiences he found himself lyng down on his back on a table of some kind. He was completely paralysed. Around him he could see a white coloured room. Due to his knowledge of contact experiences by this point he considered the possibility that he was having a dream or experiencing sleep paralysis. But it did not feel like either of these things. And it seemed very odd that he would experience such unusual sensations in the hours leading up to him going to sleep, only for it to be followed by this experience. His memories of what happened next were fragmented. Afterwards when looking back at what happened Zack remembers being led to another room, but by whom he is not certain. He also recalls hearing voices but does not remember what was said. After lying back down he remembers having an incredible sensation of falling through the air. Suddenly this sensation stopped and he landed on a firm surface. He then saw himself being laid back down on his own bed. There was a white light surrounding him and the bed, which then seemed to move away. The next thing he became aware of was of waking up in his bed. He checked the clock on the wall. It was 8.30am. The sensations in his body were still present but not as strong as before. But his mind felt totally clear. After a while of lying there thinking about what had happened, he decided to get up and go to the bathroom to wash and get a drink. At this point he noticed in the mirror a lot of strange bruising on both of his arms. This shocked him a bit, as he was quite sure he had not bumped his arms before going to bed that night. They were all similar in colouration. Some were rounded and others more elongated. Two clear bruises on the left arm: Single bruise on the right arm: Elongated bruising on right forearm: Mild bruising on right wrist: When checking over his arms, Zack also found another small indented scar on the inside of his right arm. He had no idea of how long it had been there for, but immediately reminded him of the markings on his leg, knee and stomach which he had discovered previously. By 11 am the feelings in his body had almost disappeared entirely. He was extremely puzzled by what had taken place and what had caused him to become so physically, mentally and emotionally overwhelmed. He had never experienced anything like it before. The bruises lasted for about 48 hours before vanishing without trace. Zack says that usually bruises would last on him for around a week, so it again felt strange that they had disappeared so rapidly. What could explain what Zack experienced on this night? Were the sensations in his body and the images which he saw in his mind down to a medical condition which he has not experienced either before or since? Could the intensity of these feelings have caused him to believe that something was interacting with him and was going to come and take him? If so, perhaps these feelings lead on to him having a vivid abduction-related dream, sleep paralysis, or even a mix of the two. Perhaps during his dream he thrashed out his arms in his sleep, bashing them against the bed posts or wall and causing the extensive bruising. However due to his other previous contact related experiences, we should also consider that this was in fact ET related. Contactees sometimes report having sudden bursts of images or information appear their mind, which seems to have come from the beings they are in contact with. This is commonly referred to as an “information download”. Could this be what was taking place here? And if so for what reason was Zack being shown these things? Contactees are often aware of when they are going to be taken, just as Zack reports here. The surroundings which he found himself in are very commonly reported. Although Zack does not recall seeing any beings, he feels that something did happen during this time which he cannot currently remember. Perhaps a procedure of some kind was carried out on him which resulted in the bruising. There is even the possibility that he struggled against something taking place. The sensations he felt of air rushing past him could well have been him being returned to his house from a craft. Next he recalls actually seeing himself being put down on the bed. However he saw this in the third person. If this really took place and was more than a dream then there are two possibilities. Either his mind had constructed imagery after the fact to show him what had taken place, or he was having an out-of-body experience at this point. This is an intriguing possibility, and one which should not be ignored. Many contactees report having out-of-body experiences in addition to abduction experiences, and they can usually differentiate between the two. Conclusion Zack has obviously had some interesting experiences, many of which have links with contact. Some of his recent experiences could possibly be down to his research into the subject, but do contain very interesting aspects such as physical body markings seemingly linked to the experiences. Other incidents are from his childhood long before he started looking into UFOs. From my communication with him I can see that he has a genuine desire to find out as much as possible about what has happened to him and accept it as part of his life. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 25/10/2013 This report covers two incidents. The first of these occurred in 2002 and involved an abduction-themed dream which was shared by two separate individuals. Then in 2007 one of these individuals had a stunning close encounter with a UFO. The UFO sighting will be covered first. Dual Abduction Back in 2002 Kay she had a very peculiar dream. In this dream she was standing in a kitchen with a black and white chequered floor. She was with a female work colleague. They both went out into the back garden, which was quite small in size. Off to her right Kay noticed a craft hovering in the sky. There was light emitting down from the base of the craft. Her work colleague stepped towards this light, saying she was going to go into the craft. Kay was frightened and ran back into the house. The next thing she became aware of she appeared to be on board the craft. She was staring out of a large curved window. She sensed a figure standing behind her but did not turn round to look at it. It began telling her all about the universe and how they formed the planets. She did not feel frightened during this experience, nor did she see her work colleague there. This was all the detail she could recount from the dream. The following day she was on an early shift. The colleague from her dream was there. Jokingly she mentioned to her that she had a dream about her. Unexpectedly, her work colleague laughed and said “I know, I was dreaming about you!” Kay mentioned that they had been standing in a kitchen with a chequered floor, and had then gone outside into the back garden. Her work colleague then continued, saying that there had been a UFO and that she had entered it but Kay did not. Both Kay and her work colleague were very surprised by the fact they had seemingly had the same dream. However it was a busy day, and it was not discussed again. This is quite an intriguing mystery. Could it really have just been coincidence that Kay and her friend had a near identical dream? Some of the details of the dream seem too specific for this. But what other explanation could there be? Perhaps something unusual such as a psychic link between them somehow caused them to experience the same dream. However another possibility which cannot be entirely ruled out is that the dream actually occurred. The main issue with this prospect is that the surroundings were not familiar to either Kay or her friend. They were together in a completely unknown location. If an abduction really took place surely it would have occurred in a recognisable location such as Kay or her friend’s house? However sometimes in contact experiences the beings can mask the surroundings portraying a false image commonly known as a screen memory. Could Kay and her work colleague have actually been abducted? An incident which afterwards felt like nothing more than an unusual dream? In mid-2013 Kay decided to get back in touch with her work colleague to discuss the dream. Despite the fact they had not spoken for many years, her friend recollected the incident. She told Kay that her memory was vague but that she went into a shaft of light into the UFO but Kay didn't. She remembers them showing her  "the beginning of life". When she mentioned this to Kay, she got even more excited about what took place. Kay says that she has had this on her mind for years, and to have this confirmed by her friend was amazing. Kay is planning to meet up again with her friend next month to again chat about what happened. If any further revelations are discovered they will be added to this report in due course. Winged Disc UFO Sighting Late evening on the 13th September 2007 Kay was driving home from work travelling towards Hinkley. It was around 10.17 pm and already fully dark. There were very few other cars around. She drove along Sapcote Road, passing a small shop on her left. As she reached the turning onto Burbage Road she suddenly noticed a very unusual object in the sky. It was off to her left and appeared to be hovering just above the trees on the far side of the road. It was huge and at an angle. She could make out the left side, back end and tapering of the front end. It appeared to be the size of a large aircraft. The object was a strange shape. It appeared rounded at the front but had curved wings towards the back. There were no markings or windows as far as she could tell. It looked dark grey metallic in colour, although this could have been partially due to the darkness. The object had a number of coloured lights along its underside. Kay cannot remember the exact shades of these lights; she just observed the entire object. She was absolutely mesmerised by the object. There was another car a short distance ahead of her on the road. This carried on driving as if there was nothing there. It is likely that the driver did not look up into the sky. Kay had a camera phone on her, but as with many other sightings, did not think to get it and take a photograph, she was too pre-occupied staring at the UFO. There did not appear to be any interference in the air. To her knowledge the object was completely silent, although she did have the windows up at the time. Kay says that the one marked L2 is the best representation of what the UFO looked like: Both astounded and puzzled by what she was looking at, Kay continued to watch the object hovering motionless over the trees. After what seemed like several minutes the object began to move. It passed across Hinkley Road to her left and then continued to veer off to the right over the houses. She watched it as far as she could but it was not moving in a direction where she could easily follow it on the road so she did not give chase. If it had carried on going in the same direction it was heading it would have passed over the M69 motorway to the South East, although Kay cannot confirm whether this did actually take place. She informed both of her sons about what she had seen. Her elder son was sceptical and laughed at her, but her younger son seemed more interested and started asking questions. She wrote down what she had seen so that she would not forget the details. Later on she searched online to see if anyone else had reported seeing it but nobody had posted anything. She added the sighting to a UFO website but nobody commented further. Kay’s sighting is impressive and there are numerous aspects which do not fit with a mundane explanation. Due to the fact that the object hovered completely still for several minutes it could not have been a normal aeroplane. It was clearly not a helicopter, neither its shape or its lighting configuration fit this explanation. Due to the unusual shape of the object, lighting and movement pattern observed it is very unlikely to have been a large drifting inflatable or hot air balloon. It was clearly much too large to be a radio controlled model. It certainly appears that the object was a controlled craft of some kind. While it is impossible to say for certain that it was extra-terrestrial in origin, it was very unlikely to be a secret military aircraft. You would have to first ask why the military would build a craft of this appearance in the first place. And for what reason would they then fly it over a populated area in full sight of everyone? Although the UFO did not perform any particularly impressive manoeuvres there is still a good chance that it was a genuine sighting and was not man-made. Due to the fact that there were other drivers around at the time, and that the object flew away in the direction of the M69 motorway which must have had traffic on at the time, Kay wonders if there were other witnesses to this object who have yet to come forward. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 26/09/2013 Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used Sighting Details On an evening in September 2009 Pete and his girlfriend Laura were on their way to Bridgenorth travelling along Cote Lane from Stourbridge. Due to the time of year it was fully dark. They noticed a bright light in a field near to Enville Hall. It appeared to be about 10-20 feet off the ground and was partially hidden behind some trees. The first thing to jump into Pete’s mind was that it was a helicopter with a search light. However he wound down the window and could not hear any sound coming from the object. Aerial map of Cote Lane with notes from Pete: As they got closer to the field, the light suddenly vanished. They did not think any more about it and continued driving through Enville village. They left Enville and carried on along Bridgenorth Road. As they drove they noticed a number of strange looking lights in the sky. As they were driving they did not get a good look at them but they appeared unusual to both witnesses. About half a mile before the Six Ashes pub Pete decided to pull up in a small lay-by to have a better look at the lights. He got out of the car and looked up into the sky. Most of the lights had flashing strobes and he immediately realised they were nothing more than distant planes. However he noticed that one object had no flashing lights on it. It appeared to be triangular in shape and had 3 white lights on it. He asked Laura to get out of the car and take a look at it too. Witness drawing of the UFO: They continued to watch and the object started to come towards them at a slow speed. The main body of the object was black or very dark in colour, and it had one white light at each corner. It was completely silent. It came quite close to their location, just above the field on the far side of the road. It looked about 15-20 feet across. Pete and Laura just stood there amazed. Pete says it was “like seeing something out of a sci-fi film.” At this point Pete remembered that he had a camera on his mobile phone so he briefly looked down to get it out of his pocket. As he did Laura said that the object was turning. As he looked back up the object began to move away from them at great speed. By the time he had raised his camera phone and taken the photo it was almost on the horizon. When describing the movement of the object Pete says “I had never seen anything move so fast.” Aerial map of the lay-by showing the path of the UFO: The object had gone and was unlikely to return. The witnesses had nothing left to do but get back into the car and continue their journey. Sighting Analysis It is unknown whether the light seen in the field by Enville Hall was anything to do with the UFO seen further along the road. It is possible that it was the same object down low over the field, but also possible that it was something mundane such as a helicopter or ground vehicle/equipment of some kind. The description of the object seen at the lay-by fits very closely with that of a Flying Triangle, one of the more commonly reported types of ET craft. These are almost always very dark or black in colour and often display a white light at each corner. They are usually either silent or emit a faint humming noise. The change in direction and sudden great acceleration in speed suggests that the object was under intelligent powered control. It was clearly not a lit balloon, hand glider or radio controlled model. Was it just a coincidence that the object turned and flew away just as Pete was getting his camera to take a picture? Or did the UFO or its occupants somehow know what he was about to do and left the area directly as a result? This is something we will never know for certain. There is the possibility that it was some kind of secret military craft rather than ET in origin. However I have investigated a number of cases which have directly linked craft of this type with ET beings. They are also often reported over highly populated areas, although in this case it was quite a rural location. I feel that based on the testimonial evidence available it is likely that the object was a Flying Triangle craft which was flying in the area for an unknown reason and was fortunately spotted by the two witnesses. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Last Updated: 22/09/2013 For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used Introduction In May 2013 I was contacted by a gentleman named Sam who wished to report two sightings of UFOs he had experienced back in 1979. He was adamant that my response would be scientific in nature, and was reluctant  to entertain the notion that the objects were extra-terrestrial in origin. Yet he was aware that what he had seen was both very real and highly unusual. What makes this case particularly interesting is that he saw the same type of object in both of these sightings, at two different locations within a week of one another. This in itself is extremely rare. The report covers both the sightings in depth and then provides a detailed analysis looking into what they may or may not have been. Initial Sighting Back in September 1979 Sam was training to be a teacher at Milton Keynes College of Education, which used to be situated at Wolverton Mill. One evening he left the college to go to the house of his girlfriend Sandra for dinner. She lived at Pikes Farm close to Haversham, about 5 miles away. It was dusk and the sky was covered in streaks of dark cloud, with fading sunlight and a few bright stars seen dotted between them. However one of the stars looked out of place. To the South West there was a bright star-like light at a 45 degree angle in the sky. Sam has an interest in astronomy and knew that there should not have been a star in that location. Photograph of how Stratford Road looks today: As he headed North on Haversham Road he lost sight of the light. When he reached Haversham the road split two ways. He took Wolverton Road to the right and continued his journey. The road was quite straight and lined by patches of small trees. About a kilometre along it Sam stopped his bike to once again look at the light. It was clear that it was now moving, and was also much bigger and brighter than it had been before. It now appeared to be about 3 miles away, and just off to the side of the road . It descended rapidly in the sky until it was only about 100 feet off the ground. It then began to follow the edge of the road at a slow steady speed. For some reason he knew that it was not a normal aircraft even when at a distance. As it got closer and was about a mile away he realised the object was extremely unusual. The object appeared to be about half the size of a football pitch. It was matt black in colour and was triangular in shape but with rounded corners, like a flattened cone. Some structural lines and bumps were visible on its surface. The light he could see was golden in colour and was brightly emanating from four large portholes in the front of the object. The inside of the craft which he could see through the portholes appeared bronze in colour. It was completely silent and was moving about 5 mph. It travelled on a completely level and straight course. After heading away into the distance about 3-4 km towards the M1 motorway it suddenly came to a halt over a farmer’s field. After watching it a short while Sam decided to get back on his bike and continue the journey to Sandra’s house, about 1 km further along the road. He did not try to get any closer to the UFO as he was quite un-nerved by it, and also did not have any more time to spare due to his dinner arrangements. As he completed the journey he kept a watchful eye on the object, which remained motionless over the field. It was still there when he arrived. Sam did not tell Sandra about the object. He did however continue to glance at it in the distance through a window. It remained in the area for up to an hour. During this time the sun finished setting, but Sam could still see the light emanating from the portholes in the object. After this extensive period of time it was no longer visible. He did not see it depart. He does not really know why he did not ask for a camera or point out the UFO to Sandra. But he feels that he probably acted in this way due to the fact that he could barely believe it himself. Due to the length of time the object was in the area, Sam feels that there may well have been other witnesses to it, although the area was quite rural. Second Sighting Between 7 and 10 days after seeing the UFO near Haversham, Sam was out with a group of 5 or 6 friends, none of which Sam had mentioned his previous UFO encounter with. It was about 7.30pm in the evening. Due to the time of year it was already dark. It was warm and still, with partial cloud cover and no moon visible. Sam and his friends were walking down Stratford Road on the way to Stony Stratford. They were talking and laughing with each other as they walked. There were trees either side of the road obscuring their view of most of the sky. As they approached the A5, Sam happened to glance up into the sky visible between the trees. Suddenly about 500 feet ahead of him he saw a dark object come into view over the trees to the left of the road. It was the same shape as the UFO he had seen the previous week. But this time there was no glowing golden light coming from the portholes. It was closely followed by a second identical object! This was slightly off to one side rather than being directly behind it. But the two objects were so close it appeared that they were directly linked in some way. They maintained perfect distance from one another, so much so that it looked like the one behind was being towed by the one in front. They appeared to be doing a survey of the area. They were moving quite slowly, about 10 mph. He observed them for about 10 seconds as they crossed the patch of sky visible over the road. For an unknown reason he felt that he should not tell his friend about the objects, like he was not supposed to say. Therefore he did not draw their attention to the UFOs. For the remainder of the evening Sam thought about what he had seen. He was certain that the two objects had been similar to the one he had witnessed a week before. However he did not feel like they had been there specifically for his benefit. Yet, when he thinks back to the incidents, he feels that if he were to return to the area he would see them again. He cannot explain why he feels this way about the objects. Map showing the locations involved with both the sightings and various witness notes: Sightings Analysis The objects which Sam witnessed were very unusual indeed. In the first sighting the UFO was clearly under intelligent control and quite large in size. This rules out the idea that it was a drifting lit inflatable or radio controlled model. It was clearly not any known type of aircraft, civilian or otherwise. Due to the alterations in movement speed, and fact that it hovered motionless over a field for up to an hour it is extremely unlikely to have been an oddly shaped hot air balloon. Also hot air balloons do not glow constantly from within; they only glow when they are given a burst of flame to keep them afloat. And when this is performed after dark the entire balloon glows a bright orange colour. Sam did not observe this at any point. Could the incident roughly a week later really have been another sighting of two of these objects? They certainly appeared the same size and shape to Sam, although this time there was no light visible coming from within them. If the objects were a simple shape such as a sphere I would suggest that he may have been mistaken in this assumption. However the shape of the objects seen was quite distinct and unusual. It is likely that the two objects were flying in formation rather than one towing the other one directly. Sam does not feel that there was any interaction between him and the objects in either sighing. However I am not so sure. First of all there is the fact that he managed to see the same objects on two separate occasions in different locations. Could it be just a coincidence that the UFOs in the second sighting just happened to be flying over the area where Sam and his friends were, ahead of him so they would be visible between the trees? Or the fact that it was Sam who happened to see these objects fly over instead of any of his friends. Of course you could say this was because he not only recognised the shape of the objects, but was more alerted to objects in the sky because of his previous sighting. However Sam has also mentioned some other interesting points. He says that he does not know why he did not tell his girlfriend about the first object hovering in the distance near to her home. He could have easily pointed it out to her, or asked if she had a camera and attempted to photograph it. Yet he did not mention it at all, either while it was still there, or after it had departed. During the second sighting, Sam says that he felt like he should not talk about it or alert his friends to the presence of the two similar objects flying overhead. These feelings are not normal behaviour in such circumstances. It suggests that the objects were directly interacting with him in some way. Similar feelings have been mentioned by other UFO witnesses and contactees. A sense that they are not supposed to talk about what they have seen, that they are “not allowed” to speak about it. Everything points towards this being genuine sightings of advanced craft, possibly of ET origin. When he first reported the incidents Sam insisted on remaining grounded and sceptical, and was hesitant to believe that the UFOs were alien. He initially suggested that the craft must have been military in origin. However their appearance does not fit with any known military aircraft. The objects were able to change direction instantly, fly silently and hover for periods of time. There were no navigation lights on the objects, the only lighting was the brightly glowing light emitting from numerous round portholes in the front. I find it unlikely the military would even create such a craft in the first place, secret or otherwise. However if we propose that they were some kind of secret military project, then it is illogical that they would fly them around in full view of the public on multiple occasions. Test flights of such craft would surely be restricted to remote military bases. The appearance of the UFOs was far from ordinary. They did had some similarities with Flying Triangle craft. They were roughly triangular shaped, although were more like a flattened rounded cone. They were black in colour, just as with the majority of FT sightings. They flew silently. However the large portholes emitting golden light observed during the first sighting were extremely unusual indeed. Whether you feel that these objects were extra-terrestrial craft or not, they appear to have been in the area for an extended period of time, due to the fact that Sam saw them twice within a week. On the evening of Saturday 14th September Birmingham UFO Group headed to Great Malvern for a UFO sky watch. Up until this point we had only ever held sky watches at Cannock Chase, so it was nice to travel to somewhere new. The Malverns seemed like the perfect location for a sky watch due to the stunning view of the sky and surrounding area. In the week running up to the sky watch, the weather had been less than satisfactory, with regular rainstorms and heavy cloud cover. However as the evening of the 14th approached, the weather took a turn for the better! As with previous sky watches, it seemed to be on our side. We arrived at Great Malvern around 6.30pm and initially headed to the Foley Arms for a drink and some food. Here we met up with the other sky watchers, some of which had never met with the group before. We sat out outside extremely happy with how pleasant it was. One of the attendees had not turned up because of adverts that had been sent out to our mailing list and put on the website. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that there had been an article about the sky watch in the Birmingham Mail! Either way I was pleased for the additional coverage! Around 8.30pm we set off from the Foley Arms to the North Quarry car park. When we arrived there we found it to be largely empty of vehicles and also extremely dark. It was very still and quiet – or at least would have been if it wasn’t for the constant UFO banter and talk of what horrors may lurk for us among the nearby trees! After gathering our gear and checking our torch batteries were not about to run out, we began the long walk up to the sky watch location close to the top of the hills. BUFOG member Paul’s estimation of 25 minutes seemed a little generous. That said, he did march off ahead at a brisk pace in order to get the disposable BBQs he had brought with him set up as soon as possible. The rest of us took our time walking up the zig-zagging pathway, which became unnervingly narrow in places. Off to one side of the path was generally a steep drop covered in brambles, nettles and other dense vegetation. I figured everyone would be careful enough not to fall off the side. I was however proved wrong when one of the sky watchers (you know who you are!) accidentally lost his footing and almost brought the sky watch to an early and possibly fatal end. We didn’t walk right to the summit of the hills, instead we opted for a nice wide open area of path way about 2/3 of the way up. The top was a further 25 minutes walk away that nobody really wanted to be bothered with, especially as we would have to make the journey back down later on. As we arrived at the location we caught sight of Paul’s face lit up by the glow of the BBQ coals like some kind of malevolent floating head! Just like last time, the official BUFOG BBQ King was on top form and was already up to cook some hot food for everyone. The location was perfect for a sky watch. We had a clear view of the majority of the sky, although the view to the East was partially blocked by the remaining hillside. There was plenty of space to sit down, including a bench for admiring the view over Great Malvern. The lights of the town could be seen far below us, and it was even possible to see the distant lights of Birmingham on the horizon. Soon after arriving we noticed a firework display going off. It looked so low down to the ground, and gave us some impression of exactly how high we had climbed. There was a clear star lit sky above, not a cloud in sight. While continuing to socialise, at any one time at least some of us had our eyes on the sky. It wasn’t long before people caught glimpses of shooting stars and satellites moving slowly overhead. The area was relatively free of air traffic, other than a few distant helicopters with their immediately recognisable flashing navigation lights. It wasn’t long before the food was ready. A superb selection of sausages, chicken wings and even some steaks. Top notch nosh by anyone’s standards! One of the sky watchers had brought with them a couple of powerful laser lights, which at one point were used to help speed up the BBQing. So one lucky person no doubt got to try some laser-cooked chicken! Never know what to expect at a BUFOG sky watch. At about 11.30 pm we were quite spooked to see someone else in a long trench coat walking along the path towards us. He did not stop to engage in any conversation, and just carried on walking away into the darkness. Popular consensus was that it was a local out for a night walk. However that didn’t stop people from coming up with other spooky suggestions which included the ghost of someone who had died on the hills, or a member of the secret service spying on what we were up to! It was amusing, but that didn’t stop me from shining my torch along the path at regular intervals just in case... It was a very pleasant night, but by the early hours it was starting to get a little cold, so at about 1am we all decided it was time to call it a night and head back down to the cars. The walk back down the hill was a little easier for obvious reasons, and everyone soon made it back to the car park safely. We were just packing up and saying our good byes when a police van with two female officers in came driving up the car park towards us. I can only assume that a local had seen the torches in the car park and alerted them to our presence. It didn’t take long for me to explain what we were all doing there standing in the dark. They seemed happy enough with the explanation and were soon on their way. Soon afterwards we too left and began the journey back to Birmingham. I had a full car load with me and several stop offs to make. When I finally made it home at around 3.45am I was grateful that we hadn’t tried staying later up on the hills! And so the first Malvern Hills BUFOG sky watch came to a close. There had been no UFO sightings, but that didn’t seem to bother anyone. It was just great to be out there as a group chatting about interesting topics under the stars. And who knows....there’s always next time! Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 23/08/2013 For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used Introduction This report covers a number of very interesting incidents which have been experienced by Sarah, a young lady from Alaska. She got in touch with me in June 2013 to ask for my thoughts on what has happened to her over the years. Her experiences have very clear links with both contact and the paranormal. Some of them have been quite disturbing. Childhood Visitation Sarah’s first encounter occurred when she was 8 years old in 1993. She cannot recall what time of year it was, but remembers that she did not have school the following day so it was either on a weekend or during a holiday break. She was living at the time with her parents and older sister, who was 9 at the time. One evening she and her parents were watching TV in the living room. Her sister was already in bed, which was slightly unusual. Sarah says she must have been tired or ill that evening and wanted to go to bed early. She was sitting on the sofa at first, but then as her sister was not present she lay down on the couch and stretched out. She was lying on her right side facing the TV and did not feel at all tired. Everything was completely normal. All of a sudden she realised her eyes were closed and everything was extremely quiet. She was confused, and could not work out how this had happened. She could not remember dropping off to sleep. This bothered her. It felt like her memory had been erased. She knew that there was something, but could not properly recall it. She felt groggy, like she had been deeply asleep for a long time. She tried opening her eyes and found she could not. Her eyelids felt extremely heavy. She tried and tried until she finally was able to open them. Immediately she noticed three things. The TV was switched off. Her parents were no longer present. And there were monsters standing in the room. Sarah now knows that these creatures were Greys, but at the time had no knowledge of what they look like. She just saw them as monsters. There were three or four of them. They were naked, had grey coloured skin, huge black eyes, and skinny long arms and fingers. Overview of the living room showing the positions of the witness and the Greys: As soon as she saw these strange beings she wanted to scream and run out of the room to her parents. But when she tried to move she found she could not. When she tried to scream no noise came out. All she could do is lie there and stare at them in horror. She was completely terrified. After a short while she began to calm down and pay attention to what she was looking at. She could see three of them clearly, and there was some movement in her peripheral vision which suggested a fourth. They were not paying any attention to her. They appeared to be having a conversation with one another but she could not hear any words. They were turning their heads from one to the other and making slight gestures with their arms. She told herself “It’s ok, it’s ok. They don’t know you’re here. You might as well be a part of the sofa. Just don’t move…just be quiet and they’ll go away." She thought this over and over hoping that they would not pay attention to her. She realised she was breathing hard, almost hyperventilating. At this realisation she tried to hold her breath as she was scared they would hear her breathing. She held it for as long as she could, then started breathing very slowly and as quietly as possible. She kept telling herself that they were going to go away and leave her alone. Then the one which was standing closest, facing away from her, turned its head and looked over its left shoulder right at her! She panicked. She wanted to get away but could not move. After looking at her for several seconds he turned his head back round towards the others. She immediately imagined that it was telling the others “There’s a little girl over there, let’s eat her!” The Greys standing in the living room: Close up of one of their hands: A moment later the same being turned its head round again, just like before. It once again stared at her for a few seconds. Then it turned round completely to face her and began to walk towards her. The next thing she became aware of was the beings face staring directly at her extremely close with its huge black eyes. It stared at her for what seemed like forever. Sarah thought to herself “This is it, I’m going to die. This face is the last thing I am going to see.” She suddenly became aware of what was happening inside her head. She could actually sense this beings thoughts. It appeared to be searching her mind for something, she was not sure what. It was looking for something with intense focus. Sarah likened this to the feeling you get when you are trying to solve a complex mathematical problem. This is what the being was doing as it stared into her eyes. The Grey suddenly realised that she was watching what it was doing. At this she sensed a slight emotion from it. It felt like the same emotion you get when you see a baby do something cute. The “ahhhhh factor”. That’s exactly what she sensed from the being. As if it could sense that she could see what it was doing and that this was cute. Then it was gone and all she could sense was the intense focus again as it scanned her mind. The Grey scanning the mind of the witness: It appeared to find what it was looking for. Out of the corner of her eye she saw the tip of a long grey coloured finger. It was blurred as it was so close to her face. It moved up diagonally slowly towards the bridge of her nose and crossed in front of her left eye. She was still terrified. She wanted to look directly at the finger but was still transfixed by the black eyes of the being. The finger moved up to her forehead and touched her lightly. As soon as it did this her eyes closed and she immediately became relaxed. Sarah says this felt like the being had “interrupted her central nervous system and completely disconnected her brain from her body”. She could no longer see the being in front of her but her mind was still completely awake. Many thoughts raced through her mind. “I’m going to die. I’m never going to see my parents again. What’s going to happen now?” Gradually her thoughts began to slow down. The sense she got was that the being was being careful not to break anything. It was controlling her, slowing down her thoughts and emotions. This continued until her thoughts were very slow and faint. They were gradually replaced with quietness and stillness. This is when she heard the voice. It sounded male and quite young, like a teenage boy. It was not threatening in any way. She heard the voice directly inside her mind rather than audibly in the room. “Everything is going to be alright. You are going to go to sleep now.” The next part she does not fully recollect but it was something like “And when you wake up this will alllllll seem like a dream.” As the being said this she felt herself fading away and drifting off to sleep. Suddenly she found herself in her bed upstairs. She sat up startled and terrified, her heart pounding heavily. She looked over at her older sister in her own bed. She was fast asleep, softly snoring. Sarah was so happy to see her there. She peered round the room. The monsters were gone. She was alive and everything was back to normal. She was hysterical with relief at this realization. She jumped out of bed and ran down the hall into the kitchen. There she found her parents sitting at the table. It was morning. The news was on TV same just like usual. Her father was reading a newspaper. “What’s the matter?” asked her mother. Sarah asked “Did you guys take me to bed last night?” Her mother looked confused. She said “No…you fell asleep on the sofa…and we left you there…you weren’t there when we got up this morning so we figured you went to bed on your own.” Sarah then explained the whole story to them. She could barely contain herself as she told them about the monsters and what had taken place. Her father looked over at her and angrily exclaimed “Stop it! You just had a nightmare! Nothing happened! There are no monsters. Go bother your sister. And don’t bring it up again.” After telling her sister what had happened, Sarah did not speak of it with her family again. However she did tell all her friends at school about it. It was only when she went to middle school that she did not mention it so often, and only told her closest friends. For months after the encounter she was haunted by the vision of the Grey’s face staring at her. Every time she closed her eyes it would appear. She would shriek and open her eyes in shock. For a while she became scared to close her eyes for fear of seeing it. However over the years her memories of it have faded and she can only remember vague details. The colour of its skin. The large black eyes. Sarah was roughly 12 years old when she first saw something relating to the abduction phenomenon. She watched an episode of Unsolved Mysteries which was themed around the famous Allagash abduction incident. She recalls being horrified, but did not really make the connections between her own experience and ET contact until later on. It is clear that what Sarah experienced here was a visitation by Greys. They appear to have interacted with her directly and performed a scan of her mind for an unknown reason. It does not appear that she was abducted at the time, the interaction seemed to take place directly within the living room. There is a possibility that she was taken either before she became aware of the beings or after she blacked out, however she has no recollections of this if it did occur. Somehow she had got back up to her bedroom from the living room where her parents left her. Perhaps she sleepily walked back up there without any recollection of doing so. We are unlikely to ever know for certain. Silver Disc Sighting One afternoon in 1997 when Sarah was 12 years old she was travelling home from school on the bus. She was sitting on the right side of the bus listening to music. The road the bus was on went up a hill. From the top it was possible to see above the tops of the trees in the nearby area. As the bus reached the top of the hill, Sarah noticed a glint of light come through the window. She looked to see what had caused it. It was a bright sunny day with scattered cloud. She noticed an object in the sky above the trees. It appeared to be about a mile away and at very high altitude, possibly around 20000 feet. Due to the distance it was hard to accurately judge how large the object was. But she could see that it was a silver metallic domed disc shaped object, rounded on the top and flat on the base. The sun was reflecting off its surface. It was hovering completely motionless in the sky. Sarah couldn’t move because she was so shocked. She just stared open mouthed at the UFO. A moment later the bus began to go back down the hill and the object was lost from view behind the trees. She came to her senses and twisted round in her seat, excitedly asking her friends “Oh my God did you guys see that?” Everyone just stared at her and replied "See what?"  She rolled her eyes and said "Aw never mind!", put her headphones back on and slumped back down in her seat. It is of course possible that the object Sarah saw was some kind of silver coloured inflatable reflecting the suns rays. It did appear to be completely still in the sky, but it was a pleasant day with no wind, so it could conceivably have been drifting extremely slowly. Sarah did not observe the object for very long so this cannot be put out of the question. However there is also the possibility that it was something more unusual. It was clearly not a normal aircraft or helicopter of any kind. Lights In The Woods On many occasions since her teens Sarah has seen unexplained lights after dark flashing in the woods around her parents property. She would usually be sitting in the living room and notice the lights out of the window. Usually she would see a blue light blink on and off. Then after a period of time, sometimes seconds, sometimes minutes, the light would reappear. Often it would remain stationary between flashes, but sometimes would move position. On one occasion she could see it flashing and moving around and got very frightened. She remembers mentioning the phenomenon to her mother one day. Her mother told her it was “probably the neighbours.” Sarah responded asking “Why would the neighbours be out in the middle of the woods at two o'clock in the morning on a Tuesday when its -40 outside with a blue flash light?” Sarah has never found out the explanation for the strange blue lights, although she has never actively attempted to. She has not spoken to the neighbours to ensure that they are not responsible. Nor has she ever attempted to video the lights or approach them in the woods when they have appeared. The fact that the light moves around and does not always appear in the same location tends to suggest it is not coming from some nearby electronic equipment. If it was on a vehicle driving/parked up in the woods then surely the headlights of the vehicle would also be observed? Nor does earth lights seem a valid explanation. These are naturally occurring glowing lights sometimes observed over rural locations. However they tend to glow yellow or orange not blue, and would glow then fade rather than blink on and off. Recurring Dreams From her teens to her early 20’s Sarah suffered from a recurring nightmare. In this dream she would see a row of multi-coloured lights hovering outside one of the windows of the house. The window would change from dream to dream but the general theme would be the same. When she saw the lights she would hide from them and close her eyes, hoping that “they” would go away. She would usually wake up at this point extremely frightened. She also recalls another dream which she had when she was 17. In this dream she got out of bed and went down to the living room. There she discovered dozens of short extremely pale Greys running around in all directions. She was terrified but felt like she was being controlled. She walked through the cluster of Greys and sat down on a chair amongst them, even though inside she desperately wanted to get away. At this moment she woke up. Taking into account Sarah’s other experiences, it is certainly possible that these dreams were in fact flashbacks to real encounters that she had experienced.  Often contact experiences are blocked out of the mind of the individual. Memories of these experiences often come back in this manner. Sarah has also mentioned that she has suffered from sleep paralysis on numerous occasions. On one of these occasions she felt like her body was being touched by hands, but could not open her eyes to see what was going on. It felt extremely vivid to her and different from most of the other times when she has found herself unable to move during the night. While you may feel that Sarah’s other contact experiences could have just been down to sleep paralysis, this is extremely unlikely to be the case. There are many very specific differences between sleep paralysis and contact which cannot be ignored. The Linewave Incident When Sarah was 18 – 19 years old she experienced a series of unusual events in her life. It began with numerous vivid unsettling dreams with appeared to be apocalyptic in nature. The dreams all had similar themes. In them the world seemed to either be burning, or on the brink of ending completely. They were very disturbing to her and she looked for answers to them. Sarah has a belief in the spirit world, so decided to ask the spirits about the dreams. She had experimented with this before, asking the spirits questions and attempting to get answers via automatic writing or automatic typing on her laptop. She sat on the bed with her laptop displaying a blank Word document. She then rested her hands on the keyboard, closed her eyes and went into a light trance using meditation. She then opened herself up to the spirit world and asked “Why am I having these dreams?” After about a minute her fingers suddenly began to move. They typed out the word “linewave”. She asked whether that was the name of whoever was in communication with her. “Yes” she typed. She tried to find out what this entity was. It replied that it was “a higher being”. Sarah began talking with “Linewave” asking it many different questions. She found out it was male, and that it had an assistant named Jine which was not human. Linewave said that Jine liked her, but that he himself did not. But he said that he had been chosen to speak with her and that he had no choice. He told her she was chosen to fulfil a prophecy. That she would meet a man who was quite a bit older than her who was a pilot, and that their child who would one day change the world. Sarah did not believe this and accused Linewave of talking nonsense. But he kept telling her again and again, saying that it was important. He mentioned numerous things from the book of Revelations in the bible, despite Sarah not having a religious background. She was also told that she would be admitted to hospital and that one of her uncle’s would save her. Sarah had not heard from her uncle’s for a number of years so did not believe what she was being told. After she stopped communicating with Linewave she didn't like to think about what had happened. She felt that Linewave was some kind of evil entity trying to play mind games with her. That everything she had been told was not going to happen. But a few months later she was checked into hospital. And while she was there her uncle rang up out of the blue. He said that she did not belong there and that she should come and recover at his house instead.  At this moment Sarah recalled what Linewave had said to her. She was horrified that it appeared to now be coming true. She refused her uncle’s offer and hung up the phone. In 2013 Sarah became pregnant. Shortly before getting in touch with BUFOG about her experiences, her boyfriend, who is older than her, confessed to her that he had gone to flight school and flown an aeroplane before. The incident that Sarah described is both fascinating and somewhat disturbing. Could she really have got in contact with some kind of entity which spoke to her through automatic typing on her laptop? You may well believe that this is not possible and could not have happened. That what Sarah typed out was merely from her own subconscious, not a separate intelligence. This theory could certainly be used to explain the majority of what happened. However what has happened since the incident should not be ignored. Could it really have been nothing but a coincidence that she was admitted to hospital, and that one of her uncle’s then tried to rescue her? Or that she became pregnant by an older man who had flown aircraft before? And what of the numerous statements which Linewave made which Sarah then proceeded to find in the bible? Things she had never read about before yet had been told? If Linewave really was an entity of some kind, what was he? Could he have been extra-terrestrial in origin? He appeared to know things which were to happen in Sarah’s future. He also mentioned another entity which he claimed was not human. If he was an ET why would he have mentioned passages from the bible, what relevance would this have if Sarah was not even religious and had not been brought up in the Christian faith? Perhaps he was not an ET but was some kind of spirit or demon. This would be nothing more than speculation, and the true origins of Linwave will probably never be known for sure. Symbols One of Sarah’s most unsettling experiences occurred in 2007. She had come back from college and was spending the summer at her parent’s house. It was nearing the end of the summer and soon she would be starting at university in Anchorage. Ever since a teenager she has suffered from insomnia, and in her early twenties it was extremely prevalent. One night she was sitting in the living room. The lighting was dim and it was extremely quiet. It was between midnight and 1 o'clock in the morning. Her parents had long gone to bed, and her sister no longer lived at the house. She sat in a leather chair wishing she could go to sleep, but felt wide awake. She was looking at the clock which hung over the television. Suddenly she heard the sound of the TV switching on. The screen flashed and crackled with loud static. This sudden noise was almost deafening due to the silence. She jumped up out of the chair startled, almost falling over in the process. She immediately reached down alongside the cushion of the chair expecting to find the TV remote, because she assumed that she had accidentally leaned on it. But when she checked she found that it wasn't there. “How strange” she thought to herself. She looked around and saw the remote on the kitchen table behind her, where her father had left it. She sat back down and stared at the screen. There was no picture or sound, but it was still switched on. Usually when the TV was turned on the orange power light would display for a couple of seconds. Then it would change to green and the picture would appear. But this time the orange light remained. She stared in disbelief thinking to herself “The damn thing is broken! Great!” She continued to wait but nothing happened. Then suddenly she saw something appear in the upper left corner of the screen. It was white and blurred, but then began to sharpen into a shape. It appeared to be an unusual symbol of some kind. It reminded her of a Viking rune. It was about ¾ of an inch tall and ½ inch wide. Looking back at the incident she cannot recall exactly what it looked like, only roughly. Then she saw another white blur appear immediately to the right of the first symbol. This too sharpened into a different shaped symbol. Then another, and another. It appeared that someone was making the symbols appear one at a time across the screen. Immediately the thought came to her mind, “Aliens! It’s the damn aliens again! Shit!” Sarah panicked and jumped out of the chair. She didn't know what to do. She backed off away from the TV, and thought about running down the hallway to get her parents. Conflicting thoughts sped through her mind. “I should go and get my parents….no let them sleep…but they have to see this….no I should stay here and see what happens…but I don’t want to be here alone if they come to get me again!” As she had these thoughts she glanced towards and away from the TV screen, wanting to look but not to look at the same time. As she did this she could see more and more symbols appearing across the top of the screen in a line. When the final symbol appeared at the top right corner, a new line began at the left of the screen underneath, exactly like a message being typed out. All the symbols appeared to be different to one another. When the second row completed a third row began. However half way along the third row, she saw a very definite three dots appear. After this no more symbols appeared. She could cope with the situation no longer, so decided to go and get her parents. She ran into their bedroom and turned on the light. “Mom! Dad! You gotta get up and see this! The freaking TV is going nuts!” Sleepily her mother replied “You’re having another nightmare Sarah. Go back to bed, it’s ok.” Anxiously she responded “I'm not having a nightmare! I'm totally awake mom! I swear!” Again her mother answered “Maybe you fell asleep and didn't know you fell asleep. Go back to bed. Leave us alone.” Reluctantly Sarah turned off the light and closed the door. She stood in the hallway nervous and irritated. She walked slowly back down the hall towards the living room. As she did she became frightened that something else was in the house. She cautiously peeked into other rooms as she passed them, but there was nothing but darkness. Peering back into the living room at the TV she could see that the TV was off, but was crackling with static electricity which showed her it had recently been on. She had nothing left to do but go to bed. In the end she dropped off but she was troubled by what had taken place. In the morning she went into the kitchen. Her parents were already there. She sat down at the table alongside her father and began to talk about normal everyday things. Suddenly once again she heard the sound of the TV coming on in the living room. She jumped and looked over her shoulder at the screen. Her father also looked over. For a couple of seconds the light was orange. But then it changed to green and the picture appeared like normal. However neither of them had touched the remote control, it was resting between them on the table. Her father exclaimed “Hmmm…is that what it did last night?” “No!” Sarah responded “It was doing weird stuff last night! This is normal stuff!” Her dad replied “Yea…hmmm…it’s broken. We’ll need to get another one.” The TV continued to switch itself on and off for the rest of the day. Soon afterwards Sarah’s parents purchased a new TV which is still working fine today. But Sarah is convinced that on that night in 2007 she was shown several lines of ET symbols for an unknown reason, and that the TV had been used as a means of displaying this information. Is Sarah correct in this assumption? Could the TV have really been used for the transmission of symbols? I would certainly not put this out of the question. There are many contact cases where individuals have been shown unusual symbols of some kind. In most cases they have no idea what these symbols mean, or only a rough feeling of what they may represent. Most of the time these symbols are either sent to the mind of the contactee directly in what is known as an “information download”, or are shown to them on a screen aboard a craft. I have not dealt with any other cases where they were displayed using a television, although it is likely that other cases do exist. I find it very unlikely that Sarah dreamed the appearance of the symbols. If they had simply flashed up for a few seconds and then disappeared then this could have been the explanation. However the symbols appeared one by one over a period of time. During this time Sarah stood up and sat down a couple of times and even began moving out of the living room. If the symbols were a hallucination of some kind they would have vanished, yet they continued to appear. Could the symbols have been runes being displayed on a TV show which was coming through as feedback from a channel? This is a possibility worth considering. After all, the symbols did suddenly come to an end with several dots half way along the third line. This is of course the usual way that a passage of English text would be ended if it was shortened and cut off before completion. But if this was the case, why would the show have displayed several lines of runes one at a time over a period of minutes? It doesn’t really make sense that they would have appeared this slowly. Also surely this feedback would have continued and been seen when Sarah returned to the living room after speaking with her parents? Yet when she returned to the room the screen was just displaying static. We will probably never know the meaning behind the symbols which Sarah saw displayed on the screen. However I feel that aspects of the incident do point towards it being a genuine transmission of information from an ET source. Flying Triangle Sighting In February 2011 Sarah used to work at a grocery store. One evening she was on her way to work around 4pm. Due to the time of year it was completely dark and was very icy road conditions. It had rained earlier in the day and now the water had frozen, covering the road in a thick sheet of ice. Everyone was driving extremely slowly, and Sarah gripped the steering wheel tightly for the entire journey. There were quite a number of cars on the road, all with their headlights on giving each other plenty of room. Sarah was at a stop sign and about to turn onto Steese Highway which leads South to Fairbanks where she worked. Suddenly she noticed three white lights in the distance to her left. They appeared to be about 50 feet high in the air and were in a triangular formation. The lights were moving towards her, and appeared to be attached to a single object which was heading North following the highway. The main body of the object could not be seen due to the darkness, but it seemed to be quite large in size, at least as wide as the road. Sarah estimates it was at least 60 feet across, possibly larger. It was moving around 45 mph and slowly approaching over the space of 1-2 minutes. Photograph of Steese Highway in the direction of Fairbanks: When it reached her location it passed in front of the car and she realised it was completely silent. After it had passed she turned left onto the highway and began driving South towards Fairbanks. She glanced in her mirror and saw the object still heading North away from her. She could not continue to observe it as she had to keep her eyes on the road due to the bad driving conditions. Sarah says it is likely that at least some of the other drivers would have seen the lights as well. However she did not hear of any other reported sightings which matched what she had seen. The object Sarah saw in this case could well have been a Flying Triangle, one of the more commonly reported types of ET craft. These are almost always either black or very dark blue in colour, which would have accounted for why only the lights of the object were visible. The most common lighting configuration reported is a white light at each corner just as Sarah described. Also the silent flying of the object even when close to her car would fit in with this explanation. Due to the fact the object was not very high in the air you would expect her to have heard some kind of sound if the object was a normal aircraft. Also other navigation lights would have been noticed on the object, yet there were none. Lastly Sarah says that the object was moving far too slowly to have been a plane, and was flying lower than you would expect a plane to fly at. Red and Yellow Lit UFO Sighting On the evening of 18th February 2012 Sarah was relaxing in her house watching TV. It was very dark and cold outside. At 8.39pm she noticed something through the window out of the corner of her eye. She glanced out to see what it was and noticed a flying object with some lights on it. It looked like a thin silver coloured bar which had a red light in the centre and a yellow light at either end. It was very low down below the tree level, around 15 feet off the ground. It was positioned near the end of the drive way, about 40 feet away. Initially she thought it was a helicopter as it appeared to be around this size. But she soon realised that the object was completely silent. It appeared to be hovering still in the air. Puzzled by the object, Sarah stared at it for about 5 seconds. Suddenly without warning it shot directly upwards, then changed direction and flew straight over the top of the house extremely fast. It took less than a second to vanish from sight over the roof! Sarah immediately jumped up out of her chair, grabbed her camera phone and ran to the front door. She tried to fling it open but realised it was locked. By the time she had unlocked the door and ran outside the object had long gone. Due to the appearance of the object and the movement pattern observed this is a fascinating sighting. What could the object have been? A lit inflatable/balloon would not have drifted in this manner, the object clearly appeared to be under intelligent control. A radio controlled model would not have been able to go from hovering still then suddenly ascend, perform a right angle turn and instantly accelerate to an extremely fast speed. There are stunt RC helicopters which have quad rotor blades, but these are quite small in size. And you would have to question why someone would be flying one of these after dark in the vicinity of Sarah’s house in the first place. What she saw on that evening remains an intriguing mystery and one which cannot be easily explained. Formations At 2.15pm on 28th June 2012 Sarah was preparing to take her mother to a doctor’s appointment. She stepped outside the front door. It was a clear and pleasant afternoon. Her parent’s house is surrounded by large areas of grass, weeds and wildflowers. Around the edge of the property are many trees. Looking about she noticed large flattened areas of vegetation around the front of the house on either side of the driveway. It appeared to be localised into specific areas rather than spread across the entire area. She had certainly never seen anything like it before. While driving her mother to the appointment she looked for other areas of flattened vegetation but saw none. Due to the possible links with the crop formation phenomenon, she immediately became concerned that it was something to do with her contact experiences. Perhaps a UFO had even landed outside the property! She decided to take some video footage on her mobile phone as documented evidence. (I was shown this footage while working on the case, but unfortunately the video has since stopped working. If I am able to obtain them again I will update this report) When she returned from her mother’s appointment she asked her father if he had been outside in the night moving around on his wheelchair. He laughed and replied “No...why? Were you dreaming about that last night?” Sarah took him outside and showed him the flattened grass. He had no theory on what may have caused it, and said he too had never seen it before. Later on in the evening she stepped outside again to take two further videos of the vegetation: Sarah decided to go online and post the video on a forum she likes to use to see if anyone could shed any light on the phenomenon. After mentioning the find to numerous people, a number of possible theories were put forward and discussed: 1 - The vegetation was flattened by people walking around the front of the house during the night, perhaps as some kind of prank. 2 - A combination of rain and high winds were responsible. 3 - The vegetation was flattened by wild animals such as moose or bears foraging in the night or bedding down outside the property. 4 - The damage was caused by a microburst, a localised column of sinking air which can appear during thunderstorms. 5 - A dust devil flattened the vegetation. 6 - Something large landed outside the property during the night, or hovered at a very low altitude. The idea that it had been caused by people walking around was quickly dismissed due to the fact that the grass had been flattened over the tops of various gardening equipment, as seen in the video footage. Could the flattened grass have been caused by a combination of rain and high winds, as one of the individuals on the forum suggested? They stated that if heavy rain soaks an area of vegetation and then a strong gust of wind blows across the area it could cause it to flatten. They noted that most of the grass was flattened parallel to the house in a direct line with the driveway. They suggested that if the wind was blowing down the driveway when it got to the house it could have been channelled down the side of the house and in between the trees and picked up speed right in the area where the disturbance occurred. This would explain why it wasn't flattened out in the open field. And the trees around the house could have broken the wind and stopped it from flattening the grass elsewhere. The vegetation flattened in different directions could have been caused by turbulence, possibly because of the various gardening equipment lying around the area. The individual stated that they had seen similar effects on vegetation after hurricanes and thunderstorms, but it would usually be covering much larger areas. However, as Sarah pointed out in response to this theory, if it had been caused by wind being funnelled down the driveway then why were the weeds either side of the driveway still standing? It appeared to have only affected an area around the front of the house. Also it had not occurred anywhere else in the local area. If it was caused by high winds and rain then it would be reasonable to propose that other areas would have also experienced similar effects. After checking the area on Google Earth the individual who had suggested it may have been caused by wind and rain posted again saying that their initial theory was unlikely due to the fact that the whole property was surrounded by trees, even the area of the driveway. Sarah is also quite sure that the weather had been pleasant on the previous evening, and was definitely not stormy at the time. Another person on the forum suggested that the flattened areas could have been caused by animals bedding down for the night or rolling around in the grass. However Sarah informed them that moose do not travel in herds, and that bears are very rarely seen in the area. There are cows in the area but these would usually only have one or two calves with them. The area of disturbance seemed too large for this to have been the cause. A couple of people entertained the idea that it might have been a microburst, an unusual current of downward air which can sometimes occur. However microbursts only occur in thunderstorms, and as previously stated Sarah confirmed the weather had been pleasant. Also microbursts would usually cause everything in the area to be flattened or knocked over. It is clear that it was just the vegetation which had been affected. Sarah wondered if a dust devil could have been responsible. These are similar to tornadoes but are usually not as powerful and rarely pose a threat to people. However dust devils occur during sunny weather conditions in the day time. It was clear that the flattened vegetation had occurred during the night, so this theory does not seem to fit what was seen either. The following morning Sarah discovered another patch of flattened grass close to her parked car, so decided to take another video on her phone. Other than small areas where the vegetation appeared to be leaning over, she could find nothing similar anywhere else in the local area. The unusual flattened areas of grass found outside Sarah’s parents house continue to remain a mystery. While there is a good chance that they were caused by wind conditions of one form or another, there is still a possibility that it was caused by something which had descended from the sky outside of the property during the night. Fears Sarah suffers from a number of fears which could be linked with her contact experiences. Ever since childhood she has had a fear of the dark which has never diminished. She is particularly frightened of driving home alone after dark. When she goes to bed she needs the covers tucked in all around, as she has a fear of something grabbing her hands or feet if they are exposed. She is terrified of power outages – if the power goes off she immediately panics until she has found a flashlight. She understand that this behaviour is irrational, but cannot help what happens. Fears such as this are often prevalent with contactees as they are aware (consciously or subconsciously) that this is when the beings have come for them. Another interesting fear that Sarah has is of fluorescent blue LED lights. This could be because it reminds her of the unexplained lights she has seen in the woods around her parent’s house. But there is also a possibility that it is because of a light she has seen during a contact experience which has been wiped from her memory. Conclusion Due to Sarah’s detailed recollection of a visitation and direct interaction with Greys it is clear that she is a contactee. The ETs appear to have searched her mind for something specific. It is possible that she has had other visitations or abductions after this experience, which may account for some of her recurring nightmares and fears. Her other experiences are also fascinating. The incident with the symbols appearing on the TV is hard to explain and could well be ET related. We can only speculate as to what these symbols meant and why she was being shown them. As with many other contactees Sarah has had numerous UFO sightings. The flattened vegetation found outside the house in June 2012 is very interesting, and although a natural cause cannot be ruled out it is still very unusual. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 14/08/2013 For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used This report covers numerous interesting experiences of a lady from Lancashire. She got in touch with BUFOG in June 2013 to report what has happened to her as part of her on-going search for answers. Ever since moving into her current house in 2009 she has experienced some unusual events, some of which could well have links with ET contact. Paranormal Events Since moving into her current property, Pamela has had numerous experiences of a potentially paranormal nature. There have been two incidents where objects have moved in front of her, and many others where objects have inexplicably vanished and reappeared. On numerous occasions she has detected a horrible sewer-like smell on the landing at the top of the stairs. She got the pipes of the house checked but they are completely fine. On other occasions she has heard footsteps and unexplained scratching noises. Several times she has heard these footsteps coming from upstairs when her children have been away at the weekend, but has forgotten and called up to them only to be greeted by silence. Pamela is not the only one to have experienced strange activity in the house. One morning her 10 year old daughter Kerry came running into her room as soon as the alarm went off at 6.30am. She was visibly upset. She went on to explain that she had awoken during the night to see four figures standing in her room. One of them looked like Pamela, but she knew it was not as she could hear her feeding the cat downstairs. The other three were wearing balaclavas around their heads like bank robbers. Some of them had red eyes, while others had completely white eyes. The figure which looked like her mother walked and sat down on the end of the bed. Then all of them began laughing at her. Terrified she hid under her bedclothes and pillow. She must have then dropped off to sleep again despite being frightened. While there is the possibility that this was nothing more than a nightmare, Pamela believes that it was something more than this due to the clear amount of trauma it had caused her daughter. In July 2013 Pamela’s 6 year old son Ben started to report seeing “monsters” with red eyes around the house, both at night time and during the day. Kerry claims to have seen a figure walking into Ben’s room one evening while she was taking a bath. During the night of 3rd August 2013 Ben came into Pamela’s room about 3am saying that something had gripped him around the neck. Pamela allowed him to sleep alongside her for the remainder of the night. In the morning she asked him to go over what had happened. He said that he suddenly felt hands gripping his neck. He opened his eyes and could not see anything but the feeling continued for a short while before vanishing. At face value these experiences do not appear to be related in any way with contact. But they could well be indirectly related. Many contactees report paranormal activity in their proximity, far too many for this just to be down to coincidence. There appears to be a direct link between the two but what this link is has not yet been determined. Orbs In the summer of 2012 Pamela had two unusual experiences in close proximity to one another. One evening she was sat in the living room in her chair reading a book. It was about 8pm and the children had gone up to bed. A flash of light caught her eye over by the window. She glanced up from her book. She saw four orbs of varying colours and sizes. They appeared to be spheres of energy. The largest was about the size of a clenched fist. They were purple, blue, red and golden coloured. They danced around in the air. As they did they seemed to give off golden coloured sparks of light which quickly faded away. They moved at varying speeds. Some of them zipped around, whereas others were slowly gliding. Witness drawing of the coloured orbs: Photograph of the location in the living room where the orbs appeared: Pamela was fascinated by the objects and not frightened of them. She had no idea of what they were, but certainly appeared to be there in the room. The only thing in the room which could cause reflections was the glass table, but there was nothing moving which could have accounted for the orbs. She watched them for about 10 minutes. After this time they seemed to fade away one by one. She just watched them from the chair, she did not attempt to get closer to them or get a camera to photograph them. Overview of living room and position of orbs: Later in the same week Pamela was having a bath and reading at the same time. Once again it was evening time and the kids were in bed. She happened to look up and there the orbs were again! They were over by the bathroom window. There were multiple purple orbs, one red and one green. This time none of them were zipping around extremely fast, they were all just slowly drifting through the air. Intrigued by them, Pamela watched them for 10-15 minutes. The fact that Pamela saw them twice in different locations does tend to suggest that they were not being caused by reflections of light off a specific object. In both cases she observed them for an impressive period of time, so it is unlikely that they were down to an issue with her eyes. Also if they were an optical illusion of some kind then why were they not seen on other occasions before and afterwards? Nor could they have been ball lighting. This is quite rare and only appears during thundery weather. Also reports of ball lightning tend to only mention a single orb not multiple, and if there were multiple they would logically all appear the same colour. The orbs seemed to an energy manifestation of some kind. Contactees have often reported seeing orbs around their home, so this may well have had something to do with her other experiences. The Voice It was the early hours of the morning and Pamela was fast asleep in her bed. Suddenly she awoke to find herself in a sitting up position. At the same moment she heard a voice speak to her. It sounded like it was audibly in the room close to her face. It sounded male and had no detectable emotion in it. She cannot recall what the voice said to her but she was extremely frightened by it. Her heart pounded in her chest. The voice continued for at least a minute, possibly up to 5 minutes. When it finished speaking to her she immediately fell back off to sleep despite her extreme fear. In the morning when she awoke she remembered hearing the voice, and was extremely puzzled by why she had dropped off rather than investigate where the voice had come from. She felt that this was not how she would have normally acted in this situation and it troubled her. She was also puzzled as to why she could not recall what the voice had said to her even though it had gone on for a number of minutes. This is an intriguing experience. It would of course be easy to dismiss it as nothing but a vivid waking dream. After all Pamela did wake up in the middle of the night, and did drop back off to sleep directly following the experience. However the way in which she could not recall what was said, and the fact that she dropped back off immediately almost like she had been sedated are both very interesting points which are often reported by contactees. Could the voice have been some kind of ET communication? We will probably never know for sure, but this is certainly worth considering alongside Pamela’s other experiences. Portal One night in May 2013 Pamela had a terrifying experience. She had gone to bed that evening about 10pm. It was a normal evening and she was not feeling different in any way. In the middle of the night she suddenly awoke. She believes it was the early hours of the morning as it was still dark, but did not check the exact time. She found that she could not move her body, only her head. She looked round to her left and saw the left side of a strange being. It had blue-grey coloured skin and looked slender. It was reaching out and gripping hold of her left arm. The beings arms were long and extremely thin. The figure was emerging from what she could only describe as a portal coming through the wall over the bed. This portal spiralled into the wall and was a glowing silver colour. It reminded her of liquid metal. It was no more than a couple of feet across. She tried to scream but her voice came out muffled. Panicking, she struggled to move but found she could not. Then she felt herself blacking out, almost as if she had been sedated. She quickly fell back off to sleep. When she came round she had no idea of how long had passed. It was still dark in the room, but everything was back to normal. Despite the fact she was still extremely scared she managed to drop off to sleep again. Overview of bedroom and position of portal and being: In the morning Pamela awoke to the sound of the alarm and got ready to take her children to school. She pushed what had happened to the back of her mind and just put it down to a vivid nightmare. But despite this in the days following the incident she found it extremely frightening to be alone in the room. She would only go to sleep if one of her children was also present. This fear has remained until the present, although she will now sleep in the room alone. She still cannot sleep if the room is completely dark, and always leaves the bedroom door open. Another thing that Pamela noticed following the incident is that her pet cat would not come into the room. Up until then it would occasionally curl up on the end of the bed, but following the experience it was clearly disturbed by something. Even today it will only remain in the room for a short time. This is an interesting experience for which the explanation is unclear. On the one hand, much of what Pamela has described would fit in with a sleep paralysis experience. During sleep paralysis the individual usually finds they can only move their head. They will often see strange figures in the room, and these figures will often push down on them or hold them in some way. It is believed that this is due to the brain dreaming up an explanation for the lack of movement. Also when the individual tries to shout they will usually find that their voice is muffled or completely silenced. However some of what Pamela describes does seem to fit with a contact experience. The details of the being that she described do seem to match that of a Grey. The body was very slender with long thin arms and had blue-grey coloured skin. She did not see its face as it was too far behind her head. The being appeared to be emerging through a portal of some kind. There are many visitation experiences where the contactee has stated that the ETs entered the room by walking out from a solid wall, often surrounded in glowing light. Could this have been something similar? Was the being not holding her down but trying to drag her into this portal? Lastly the behaviour of her cat after the incident is also interesting. It certainly seemed bothered by something. However there is the possibility that it could sense Pamela’s fear of the room rather than be frightened by it directly. Conclusion There is some evidence to suggest that Pamela may be a contactee. Certainly the being which she saw in her most recent experience does appear to have been a Grey, although she was only able to observe part of it. However, while it is clear that some very unusual things have taken place, many of them could potentially have other explanations not linked with contact. She has not had any UFO sightings or direct experiences of being taken. So at the moment I cannot say for certain if she is experiencing contact, although she certainly seems to be experiencing some very unusual activity. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 11/07/2013 For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used Introduction For most of her life Paula has had very unusual experiences. So many things have happened over the years that she has come to accept them as normality. In recent years she has become very intrigued by the cause behind these experiences, which has led her to look into the ET contact subject. She soon realised that her experiences appeared to have many similarities to contact experiences being reported by people, so she decided to get in touch with BUFOG to explore further into what has happened. This resulted in her and her partner coming to visit me to discuss everything over numerous hours, which has led to the creation of this report. Paula seems both very open and honest about her experiences and I have no doubt that she is sincere. An Early Visitation? When Paula was 5 or 6 years old she had an experience which shows signs of being a visitation by Greys. She remembers waking up one night for no particular reason. She thinks it must have been around 11pm-midnight but did not check the clock so does not know for sure. She looked across her bedroom towards the far wall. Her bedroom door was ajar and the landing light was on. It was now that she noticed the silhouettes of three figures on the wall. They appeared to be shorter than adult height. The one on the left was very short, about 3.5 feet in height. The central silhouette was a little taller, about 4 feet. The one on the right was taller still, at around 5 feet. The silhouettes did not look human in shape. Their heads appeared too large for their bodies. They had long slender necks, and long thin arms hanging by their sides. Paula has always had quite a slender neck herself, and she remembers being amused that the necks of these figures were even thinner! There was no noticeable clothing on them. They were standing still but not completely stationary, she could see movement in them so they definitely appeared alive to her. Witness drawing of the silhouettes: Paula remembers not being frightened by the figures. She stared at them for quite a while, around 10-15 minutes. She does not recall any communication. However she sensed that they were not there to harm her. After a while she decided to call out to her father. He entered the room and asked her whether she was alright. She said to him "Those three are still standing over there!" He looked round the room but could not see the figures with his own eyes. He asked her if she was alright. She said she was fine, and he said goodnight and went back to bed. The figures remained in view for a short while more, then slowly seemed to fade away. The shadows could not have been caused by her parents standing on the landing as they were in bed at the time, and even when her dad entered the room they were still present. It seems unlikely that it was just her imagination because of the amount of time they were seen for. Something imagined would surely have vanished when her father entered the room? However it does seem that only she could see the figures. It's possible that they were Greys manifesting in the room in some way, and only presenting themselves to her. Another possibility is that they were other entities of some kind such as ghosts, and that Paula was susceptible to see them but her father not. The shape of the silhouettes and their short height certainly appear reminiscent of Greys. Another interesting fact which Paula mentions is that ever since this experience she has had chronic nosebleeds, where as she does not recall having them before. Nose bleeds are one of the many things reported by contactees on a regular basis. They can sometimes indicate the presence of an alien implant - a small metallic object that many believe are placed within the individual for some kind of tracking/monitoring purpose. At present we do not know if this is the case, and unless Paula decides to go for an X-ray we will probably not find out either way. Paranormal Activity Around the same time as this visitation experience, Paula also remembers seeing a tall man wearing a long coat standing in her bedroom on numerous occasions. He reminded her of someone from her dad's side of the family due to his long dark wavy hair. However as this man was never identified this could just have been a coincidence. Whenever she saw him he would be smiling. She sensed that this man was watching over her and did not have malicious intent. Like the three figures, he never interacted with her directly, and after a while would fade away. On other occasions Paula would see other people in her room too. Like the man in the long coat, they too did not appear to be there to cause her harm. It is not just Paula who appears to have this gift, it seems to run in the family. In 1994 when her son Simon was about a year and a half old, Paula's uncle Neil died of cancer. Soon afterwards Simon used to start seeing Neil and his pet dog Bosco on regular occasions in the bedroom. Simon used to sleep in her room in a cot. He would regularly stand up in the cot without warning, point and say "There's the poorly master". This is what Simon used to call Simon, as Neil had been ill for a number of years prior to his death. He would also say "Here's Bosco!" Simon could not say the word Bosco correctly so would say this instead. When he first started doing this Paula had no idea that Bosco had also died soon after Neil. She rang her father and asked "Has the dog died?" Her father confirmed that the day after the funeral, Bosco had ran out into the road and got hit by a car. Simon is now 22 and no longer talks of having experiences such as this. Paula has also often heard unexplained sounds in her room at night which sound like children playing and laughing, or of footsteps crossing the floor. When Paula was 31 her husband at the time, Chris, sadly passed away. One night 5 years later in 2005 she woke up in the night to hear someone calling out her nickname "Pals". She assumed it was her son. She tried to ignore him but again he called out again. In the end she sat up in bed and saw a figure standing at the end of the bed in the darkness. Still thinking it was her son she asked "What? What do you want?" The figure asked if she was alright. At this point she wondered why her son was calling her by her nickname instead of calling her mum. She dismissed him, saying "Go back to bed! Goodnight." In the morning she asked her son why he had entered her room in the night. He denied having done so. At this moment Paula realised that the figure had not been her son, but had been Chris. Seemingly he had appeared to her in the night to see how she was doing. Paula is quite sure that she had been awake at the time and not just dreamed the experience. This is another incident which suggests that Paula has heightened senses and can sometimes see things which many people do not. Electrical Disturbances For most of her life Paula has noted that electrical devices often act unusual in her proximity. This started when she was quite young. She remembers her mother telling her that she used to set things off. She claims that battery powered devices sometimes seem to run out of charge extremely fast. In February 2012 Paula and her partner moved into a new property. Over the next 4-5 months they informed me that the bulbs have blown around 15 times, far more often than would be considered normal. As the property itself is relatively new this is unlikely to be down to dodgy wiring. In addition to this both the dishwasher and washing machine also stopped working. Paula has also noticed that when she is handed a mobile phone to check something on-line through it, the wi-fi will often switch off. Obviously this could all be down to coincidence and not related to her contact experiences, but it should be noted that many contactees have reported extremely similar things happening around them. An Implant Detected? When Paula was around 10 years old she found an unusual rounded lump on her right ankle. She was at school and accidentally cut her right shin on some wire. When she bent down to check her leg she noticed the lump. She touched it and it felt solid, like a ball bearing under her skin. This appeared to be permanent and after a while she just accepted it and largely forgot about its presence. When she was 17 she went on holiday abroad. She was going through the airport boarding procedures. When she stepped through the metal detector it went off. The airport security took her to one side and went up and down her with a hand held scanner and again it went off. She was quite worried by what was happening and said to the lady who was scanning her "I haven't got anything on me, I swear to God I don't have drugs!" The lady informed her that drugs don't beep! She replied "Well I haven't even got a battery on me, maybe there's metal in my underwear or bra." She was taken through to a private room where they conducted a full body search on her. But the scanner still went off. In the end the security guard said to her "You're just weird!" and let her go. It is possible that Paula was giving off some kind of charge which was setting off the scanner. As described earlier, electrical devices have often acted in an unusual manner in her proximity. However another possibility is that the lump in her ankle was an implant. These are small metallic objects sometimes placed within the body of contactees during abductions. It is theorised that they have a monitoring/tracking purpose, but nobody knows for certain at present. Paula does not know exactly when the lump in her ankle vanished, but when she checked for it in her late 20s she found that it had completely gone. Was the lump just something natural which dissipated after many years? Or had it really been an implant which had been placed within her for a period of time and then removed for whatever reason? If Paula decides to be regressed at some point we may discover the answers to these questions. Premonitions Paula says that she has often had dreams which have seemingly come true later on. When she was growing up her family's house used to be situated alongside a sloped area of grass. Her grandfather used to walk down this green whenever he came round to visit. Paula would occasionally have a dream of her grandfather coming to visit, and he would always have a huge black gorilla with him. Paula put this down to the fact that she really liked gorillas as a child. In the dream the gorilla would jump around and dance as her grandfather walked to the house. Whenever she had this dream, the following morning her granddad would show up to visit. When she was around 24 and married to her first husband Chris, she continued to have dreams that seemed to foretell future events. One night she had a dream that Chris's brother purchased a blue car, and then crashed it. She informed Chris in the morning saying "Your brother's going to get a blue car and he's going to crash it". He told her to stop being horrible. But the following week her dream seemed to come true. Chris's brother went and bought a new blue coloured car, and soon afterwards accidentally crashed! On another occasion she dreamt that she and Chris went to a wedding. In the dream they were driving a red car, different to their actual car. They also had two children in the dream, a girl and a boy. In the morning she recounted the dream to Chris. As they had no children at the time, they assumed it must just be a normal dream, but took note of what had taken place in it. A couple of years on, they now had two children just how she had dreamt. Paula's dad lent her some money to get a new car. The one she purchased was red in colour. Soon after this Chris's niece got married. When they drove to the wedding Chris started to laugh. She asked him what was up and he reminded her about her dream. She realised at this point that it had come true. On another occasion she had a dream that she, her current husband Lee and the kids went on holiday to a place she had not been before. When she awoke she had no idea of where the dream had been situated but remembered the details of what the location looked like. Later in the year the family planned a holiday to Devon, and when they arrived Paula immediately realised it was the place from her dream. She knew exactly where everything was going to be. There is another location she has also dreamt about but so far has not actually visited. However she says that this dream felt incredibly real and she is sure that it is a premonition of a real life place. Paula often has a warning sign before she experiences such dreams. She claims that before she drops off to sleep she will get a humming sound in her ears. This has happened so often that she is able to predict when she will have a premonition. It's clear that some of the above could merely be coincidences. However Paula has had so many dreams of this nature that it seems unlikely they are all just down to chance. Contactees often report having experiences such as this, and it appears that many of the people who the ETs contact seem to possess psychic abilities of some kind. It is not really known whether the ETs are interested in them because they have these gifts, or whether they have been granted these abilities as a result of contact. The Device Another recurring dream which Paula has is of a strange device made of interconnected parts. When she first had this dream she woke up in the morning with the urge to draw it. She was aware that it needed to be made out of gold (or possibly another gold-coloured metal) in order for it to work. The device is formed of cylindrical bars with rounded joints between them which can swivel. The purpose of the device is that it can connect any two objects together. Witness drawing of the device: Whenever she has this dream she has the feeling that someone is going to make it, although she does not know who. It is unknown whether it has anything to do with her contact experiences and is an alien device of some kind, or if it is really nothing more than a dream. Moving Lights One night in 2012 Paula was having a dream about spaceships. She woke up from this dream and realised it was still dark outside. She decided to take a look out of the bedroom window at the stars. While looking up at the sky, she noticed one bright star which appeared to have other smaller lights surrounding it. They were appearing and disappearing. At first she thought they must only be other more distant stars. However she soon realised these smaller lights were moving around the central star, shooting back and forth in different directions. Witness drawing showing the star and other smaller lights around it: Paula excitedly ran downstairs to find Lee, who had fallen asleep in the living room. She woke him up and asked him to come and see. They both returned to the window and continued to observe the unusual lights for about 15 minutes. They noted that the lights were all located within a circular area around the central light, which they assumed was a star. The couple claim to have seen similar phenomena since on other occasions. Paula also informed me that on one occasion she rang up her mother and asked her to look out of the window to also see what she was looking at. Her mother confirmed that she could indeed see the same thing. It is unknown whether these strange lights have been down to an optical illusion caused by particular atmospheric conditions, or something more unusual. Due to the fact that it has been observed on repeated occasions by witnesses in different locations it could be assumed that this is the explanation. However it is far from normal to observe such things, otherwise they would be visible on most nights and easily identifiable. Possible Scoop Mark Around 2006 Paula was getting dressed when she noticed something strange on the front of her lower left leg. There appeared to be a prominent circular indentation below the knee. It felt a little hard around the edges. She pressed on it but it did not hurt at all. However it was significantly wide and deep for her to be concerned about it. They were as puzzled as she was. They asked her if she had had an absciss, but she was quite sure she had not. They informed her that this would have been quite painful so it is likely she would have known about it. This was their only suggestion for what could have caused it. In the years since then she has visited two further doctors to ask for their opinions on it, and they have commented the same. None of them have been able to give her a valid explanation. If it was natural, then it was clearly something very unusual. However there is also the possibility that this is what is sometimes referred to as a "scoop mark", a small circular area of flesh which has been removed as a sample during an abduction experience. As you will see below, she clearly appears to have been abducted, and there are signs that she has also been taken on prior occasions. Abduction Experience In May 2012 Paula appears to have been abducted. She does not remember her actual travel to the craft but recalls finding herself in a slightly domed room. While the walls, ceiling and floor were largely metallic-looking, parts of the floor appeared to be neon pink in colour. Along the right hand edge of the room there was some unusual silver coloured equipment. This appeared to be giving off a greenish glowing light. She was sitting on a flat silver-coloured metallic table, with her legs dangling off the side. This was quite high as her feet did not touch the floor. She was not wearing her night clothes, but instead was wearing a white coloured gown of some kind which went down to her knees. Standing quite close to her alongside the table was a Grey. There were four other beings standing in a curved line on the far left side of the room. She sensed that prior to this she had been lying down on the table without the gown on, and that these beings had been interacting with her in some way but she could not recall what they were doing. She was not frightened of where she was, it had a great feeling of familiarity to it. She felt that she knew these beings and had seen them before at some point in her life. Overview of the room, showing the position of the table, herself and the various beings: The Grey close to her had a slender but not skinny body, long arms, a long thin wrinkled neck and an egg-shaped head. Its eyes were oval shaped and completely black. It had very small nostrils but no visible nose, no lips, and a small slit for a mouth. Its skin appeared grey-green in colour, although Paula feels this was due to the lighting in the room. and was wrinkled under the eyes and cheeks, giving it the appearance of being elderly. It was naked and had no wrinkles or markings on its body, it just appeared smooth. It had no visible sexual organs. Witness drawing of the Grey closest to her: Three of the beings on the far side of the room looked quite similar to the one close to her, but had no wrinkles and appeared younger. However the second being in the line appeared different to the others. It looked more human in its features. It was still hairless and had large eyes, but they were more human shaped and had irises. Its nose was more pronounced, and had thin lips rather than just a slit. It had quite high cheekbones, and looked healthy and strong. It appeared to have a mix of both human and Grey features. It was wearing a thin overall which was cream coloured with a slight pale pink tinge. Paula sensed friendliness from it, and feels that it may have been smiling at her but cannot remember for certain. Witness drawing of the face of the more human-like being: Paula sensed that the Grey next to her had authority over the others and was in charge. It reached out and put its left hand on her shoulder. It then began speaking to her directly in her head. Its mouth did not move but she could hear its voice. It sounded like a man speaking to her. It informed her that the more human-looking being on the far side of the room was related to her. The Grey did not specifically point out this particular being, yet Paula was aware that this is the one it was referring to. She sensed almost like the more human-looking being was like a brother to her. It informed her that they had taken something from her (she does not know what) and made the more human-like being with it. She felt amazed at this, that these beings had the ability to create people in this manner. For some reason she feels that they took whatever they needed from her when she was small, even though the Grey did not specifically state this. Paula sensed that the more human-like being already knew that it was related to her. For some reason she had the impression that it was older than her, almost like a big brother, even though if something from her had been used to make it then it logically could not have been. She felt completely safe and happy with the situation. She then sensed that the Grey near to her wanted her to go with it. However it did not actually ask her this in words. She walked across the room towards the far wall off to the side of the other beings. As they approached the wall a doorway lifted up from the floor upwards. She had not noticed it up to this point. They stepped through it into another darker room. The floor was at a lower level to the first room and they walked down a few steps to reach it. The far end of this room had a curved wall with a window in but she could not see much detail or what was through the window due to the lack of light. In the middle of the room was a large chair with tall arm rests and a back rest which came up to shoulder level. On the arm rests were what appeared to be pockets to put something into, and some buttons. A short distance in front of the chair was a brown box-like structure with a screen on and some buttons to the right. It reminded Paula of an old style 1950s television, and appeared old-fashioned, especially considering where she currently was. Then some images began to come up on the screen in front of her. It was clear that the beings wanted to show her things. She saw images of a couple of domed disc-shaped silver coloured craft which appeared to be flying through Earth's atmosphere. At least the sky behind them was blue. Next she started to see lots of images of things on Earth being destroyed - bombs exploding, buildings collapsing, fires burning. Images of different evil people such as Adolf Hitler and Saddam Hussein were displayed. Paula felt that she was being shown these images as a warning that the human race and the planet would be ruined unless we make changes. She felt that it was likely they would show these same images to lots of other people too, and that they were trying to stop the human race from destroying itself. The images were quite tough to watch, and she started to cry as she watched them. She then felt the hand of the Grey on her shoulder again. Then her viewpoint changed and she could see what appeared to be a drawn map of the stars. There were many lines connecting these stars together, apparently showing networks between them. As she looked at this she got the impression that the Grey thought she should know what she was looking at and understand it. However she did not. But she did have a sense that whatever this map was it was something to do with stopping the destruction she had just witnessed on the screen. Then she noticed a green glow which got stronger and stronger. It was a similar colour to the green glow she had seen the equipment in the first room giving off. Her next recollection was of being back in her own bed. She felt like she had just been placed down upon it. She jumped up off the pillow with her heart pounding thinking to herself "I'm back!" But then she told herself to stop being silly and that it must have been a dream. She did not wake her husband at the time, and settled back down to sleep. Paula suffers from sorisis and regularly applies cream to her legs to combat it. In the morning she was putting cream on her lower right leg when she noticed a reddish lump about 5mm in diameter. It did not hurt when she pressed on it. She felt quite sure that this lump had not been present the previous evening, although she of course cannot be absolutely certain of this. A short while later when the lump did not go away she decided to go and speak with her GP about it. They informed her that it was nothing to worry about. The lump appears to be permanent and still exists today. Recent photograph of the lump, with a pencil shown for scale: Although this experience did take place during the night, and Paula has no recollection of travelling to or from the craft, this is extremely likely to have been an abduction rather than just a dream. There are too many aspects of it which fit in with contact, some of which Paula was not aware of until I spoke with her. The surroundings, the beings seen and the many aspects of the experience all fit in with other known cases. The more human-like being which she was introduced to towards the start of the experience was a hybrid which the ETs would have created from her DNA at some point. This appears to be one of the ongoing agendas of the ETs, and many female contactees have reported seeing hybrids aboard the craft or even having them grown and then taken out from them. We do not know exactly when Paula's DNA would have been taken, but she felt during the experience that they took it from her when she was young. We have no way of knowing how old the hybrid was or how fast they grow compared to humans. The sense of connection that Paula felt with this being has often been described by contactees involved in the hybrid program. The ETs will often bring the hybrid offspring to the human mother, either as a baby or later on as a child. This appears to be some kind of bonding ritual, perhaps to establish an emotional connection. The reason why these hybrids are being created is not yet fully understood, although numerous theories have been suggested. I have looked into and read about other cases where contactees have been asked to sit in chairs aboard the craft, usually which appear to have buttons or controls of some kind on them. The screen which showed Paula lots of destructive images is again a commonly reported aspect of abduction experiences, although the structure the screen was on in this case is quite unusual, possibly unique. It appears that the ETs have an interest in maintaining the human race, the planet or both and are trying to inform the people that they interact with. What they hope to achieve through this is unknown; obviously any one contactee cannot make much of a difference but perhaps they are trying to educate us over time. There have been a number of cases where people have been shown star maps. Unfortunately Paula was not told any information about this map, at least to her current knowledge. It was as if the Grey expected her to already know. She cannot recall the positioning of the stars on the map well enough to draw it either. Because of this it is unlikely that we will be able to work out which stars were shown on the map. The lump on Paula's leg is interesting due to the fact that she thinks it appeared on the same night as the abduction recollections. It is of course possible that it is natural; it does not have a shape to it which would imply it was created via artificial means.  But there is the possibility that it was something to do with her abduction, either permanent damage to her skin, or an indication of a implant. Implants generally leave no visible scar or marking on the surface of the skin, so this does seem unlikely. However unless Paula decides to get it X-rayed we cannot dismiss this entirely. If Paula decides to proceed with a hypnotic regression at some point we may decide to look further into this. The Children On other occasion after the recollected abduction Paula has had another dream which may well have links to contact and the hybrid program. It is possible that this was a flashback to a real event which happened to her, either on the same or a different night. In one dream she found herself in a room with a number of babies crawling around her feet. She was holding a tiny baby in her arms. Its features looked completely human but it was an unusual orange-brown colour rather than pink. She felt that this was her baby, and remembers thinking it had beautiful eyes. She also remembers wanting to be given the chance to look after all the babies present there. This was how the dream ended. A short while before it she sadly had a miscarriage, so it is possible that this dream was a result of her wanting to have a baby. She also recalls seeing a small girl sitting on the floor alongside a Grey. She had dark hair was wearing a white dress with no shoes or socks. The girl was staring directly at her. She appeared devoid of emotion, like she was in some kind of trance. Glowing UFO Sighting In late June 2012, shortly before speaking with me, Paula had a sighting of an unidentified light. She was lying down in bed again looking out of the window at the night sky. She noticed a light hovering in the distance. It was mostly white but occasionally seemed to have blue and red tinges to it too. Because of this, Paula at first thought it was an aircraft. The light appeared to be stationary. After a few seconds the light instantly accelerated and shot across part of the sky, and was obscured from view behind some nearby trees. A moment later it suddenly flew back to where it had originally been situated! This interesting manoeuvre immediately caught Paula's attention. She continued to watch the object. It moved slowly up and then back down. Then it suddenly left the area by again performing an incredibly fast and sudden movement. It was completely gone from sight within just a second. If it wasn't for the movement pattern which was observed, I would have certainly suggested that this object was likely to be a distant helicopter. However helicopters move relatively slow, they cannot perform sudden manoeuvres with instant acceleration. The fact that the object did this means that many mundane explanations such as an aircraft, remote controlled model or lit inflatable can all be discounted. Conclusion As you have seen, Paula has had a wide variety of experiences of a paranormal nature. Her recollections of the abduction experience with the hybrid being have convinced me that she is a contactee. Many of her other experiences have likely occurred as a result of this contact. Fortunately she is dealing with the reality of this extremely well, and certainly appears to have moved past any fear that may have once existed. We intend to plan a regression at a convenient point in the future. Any further revelations from this will be added to the report. Birmingham UFO Group Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 28/06/2013 For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used Introduction Kerry and Darren are sister and brother, and are both contactees whose cases I have previously investigated (links at end of this report). On the evening of 2nd June 2013 they, and a number of other witnesses, saw some unidentified black coloured UFOs at two different locations in the Birmingham area. While the two sightings could be completely separate there are a number of similarities which suggest they could have been linked. This report covers both of the sightings in depth and looks into possible explanations. Sighting Details It was between 9.30-10pm on the evening of 2nd June 2013. Kerry was in her house on Chestnut Drive, Castle Bromwich. Her partner Steve gave her a call and asked her to come outside onto the road. When she did so she found him and his mother Wendy standing outside their home a few doors down. They were staring up into the sky. Aerial map of Chestnut Drive: Kerry looked up to where they were staring. It was a pleasant and relatively clear evening, with only light patchy cloud. Due to the time of year it was still light but the sun had started to set. The stars were not yet visible. Off to their right she noticed some objects in the sky. They appeared to be at very high altitude. They were dark and rounded in shape.  It was hard to tell their size due to the distance. The objects were moving in an unusual way. They were heading in different directions. Two of them at diagonals to one another were moving to the left. A third was travelling upward in a curve in the opposite direction. Behind each object appeared to be a short dark vapour trail. Photograph of Chestnut Drive in the direction the objects were seen: She watched the objects for no more than 10 seconds. They then seemed to fade out quite fast one at a time. Then two further objects came into view again travelling in different directions to one another. Puzzled by what she was looking at she spoke to Steve and his mother. They had apparently been out there for 10-15 minutes watching the objects appear and disappear. They informed Kerry that some of the objects were rounded in shape while others they had seen were more cigar-shaped. They had watched them travelling in different directions, move then stop and hover for a while, or begin completely still then suddenly start to move away. They felt that the objects were not behaving how either meteorites or randomly drifting objects would naturally behave. Kerry decided to give her brother Darren in Telford a ring to ask if he could see the same objects. Telford is 40 miles away from Castle Bromwich so this was unlikely, but she decided to ring him regardless. As it happened he was on the phone to his father at the time. He continued to listen to both calls, informing his father what Kerry was saying she could see. Kerry then hung up to go and get some binoculars. Still on the phone, Darren’s father stepped outside to see if he could see the objects from Hurst Lane, which is within a mile of Chestnut Drive. He said that he was unable to see anything other than a plane on take-off. Aerial map showing locations of Hurst Lane(A) and Chestnut Drive (B): While listening to what his father was saying, Darren walked to the window of his own house on Mercia Drive.  He stared out in the direction of Castle Bromwich to the South East but could not see anything unusual. Then without warning, he suddenly saw two rounded black objects shoot up at a steep angle into the sky above the tree-line. They moved extremely fast and were flying side by side. They were only visible for a few seconds before they vanished without trace. As it was a clear sky there was no explanation for why they would have done this and no sign of any explosions. Each object left behind a trail of slightly curling smoke/vapour. These trails had a gap in them, almost as if  the objects had initiated two separate bursts of propulsion. They remained visible in the air for up to a minute. Aerial map of Mercia Drive: Photograph of Mercia Drive in the direction the two objects were seen: Darren called his partner outside while continuing to scan the sky for the objects. She did not see the UFOs themselves but did see the vapour trails which were still present. Darren then rang his sister to inform her what he had just witnessed. Sighting Analysis These are both interesting sightings, and it is amazing that Darren saw something unusual himself in Telford when looking for something his sister was seeing in Castle Bromwich 40 miles away. Aerial map showing locations the two sightings occurred at, Mercia Drive (A) and Chestnut Drive (B): The objects that Kerry reports certainly sound unusual. They caught the eye of not only herself but of her partner and his mother, and all three witnesses were baffled by what they were looking at. The objects could not have been meteorites because of the fact that they were moving in different directions, changing speed and even hovering still for periods of time. They certainly do not sound like helicopters. Balloons or other drifting objects would be the most likely mundane explanation, however the observation of the small trails behind the objects and their movement patterns do not really seem to fit with this either. The two objects that Darren saw definitely appeared to have taken off from the ground due to the steep angle of flight and the fact they had came from down low behind the tree-line. It is interesting that both he and his sister described seeing dark/black coloured rounded objects which left trails behind them. However the trails left by the objects Darren saw sound much more prominent. They remained in the air for up to a minute after the objects had disappeared, and appeared to indicate that there had been two  bursts of propulsion from whatever the objects were. If they were something man-made launched from the ground then what could they have been? It does not sound like they were fireworks or Darren would have seen or heard the explosion. The objects seemed to rise steeply into the sky and then just vanish. We cannot put out of the question that they were experimental home-made rockets. But even if this was the case then it is odd that there were two of them launched at the same time. Both the sightings remain an intriguing mystery. I hope to speak to the other witnesses from Chestnut Drive soon, and also may receive drawings from both Kerry and Darren in due course. Keep an eye on this report for any further updates. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Last Updated: 19/05/2013 For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used for some witnesses Introduction Paul Black first got in touch with BUFOG via phone on the morning of 28th February 2013. He was quite concerned by a strange triangular-shaped marking which had seemingly appeared on his right arm during the night. This was not the first marking to have appeared on him. On other occasions since mid 2012, he had discovered other unusual markings. He had also experienced two UFO sightings and numerous incidents around his home which potentially were paranormal in nature. Due to his location I was not able to visit Paul directly. Thankfully he sent through some photographs of the markings for my analysis. They are viewable later in this report. Metallic UFO Sighting The unusual activity noticed by Paul seemed to kick off with the sighting of a UFO on a bright sunny day in July 2012. It was about 4.30pm. Paul and his wife Susan were on their way home from a friend’s house in their car. They were about 3 minutes drive from home. Susan was driving and Paul was in the passenger seat. The road was relatively quiet at the time, but there were a few other vehicles around. Paul glanced out of the passenger side window to the East, and happened to notice a strange object in the sky visible between two houses. The object was hovering completely still. It appeared to be around 200 yards from the road and 100 feet in the air. The object was metallic silver in colour and shiny, possibly due to reflection of the sunlight. It looked quite small in size, possibly 3-4 feet in diameter. Paul only saw the object for a couple of seconds before it was lost from sight behind the houses due to the movement of the car. He was not able to accurately see the shape of the object. Paul was intrigued by the object, and almost immediately asked his wife to pull over the car. He jumped out and ran back to where he had seen the object but it had vanished. Initially he had thought it was possibly an aerial of some kind, but the fact it was now gone meant it could not have been. Due to the fact that the object seemed relatively small in size, I asked Paul whether he felt it could have been a balloon or other inflatable. He does not believe it could have been this, due to the fact that the object was motionless in the air. It was too high to be a balloon being held by someone on the ground, and too low down to have been an inflatable up in the sky such as a weather balloon.  It is possible that the object was a remote controlled model which had flown out of sight by the time he returned, but we are unlikely to ever know for sure. Rugby Ball-Shaped UFO Sighting Paul’s second UFO sighting occurred in September/October 2012. He was at home at the time on Garden City Carlton, and was upstairs in the bedroom. It was roughly 11am. Paul decided to look out of the window. Outside it was a normal autumn day, still and with scattered cloud. He noticed a dark object moving in a Westerly direction over a nearby block of flats. The object appeared to be about 5 feet across, and was shaped like a rugby ball, at least from the location Paul was situated. The object was moving quite slowly, about 5-10 mph. It was travelling on a direct course and did not change speed or direction at all. Once it had gone he immediately felt on edge and found he was shaking. He thought to himself “Oh God, what the hell was that?” He called Susan upstairs and told her what he had seen. She confirmed that she had not seen the object. Later on, Paul called his local police station to ask if anyone else had reported the object. According to the police, no other reports had been made. While this sighting sounds unusual, it is not possible to fully rule out a balloon/inflatable as the explanation. Just as with Paul’s first sighting the object was relatively small in size. It appeared to be under control and flying on a straight course. However if a balloon is caught in an air current it can travel on a straight course in this manner. The object did not perform any advanced manoeuvres which would indicate intelligence. Despite this, Paul’s reaction to the object is fully understandable, especially after seeing something else unexplained several months before. Body Markings Since late 2012 both Paul and his son Nicolas have woken up on several occasions with markings/lumps which have not been adequately explained. Sometimes these have seemed linked to dreams they have had around the time. The first of these was quite dramatic due to extensive bruising surrounding it. In late October or early November 2012 Paul remembers having a strange dream. In this dream someone was doing something to his lower chest area which was extremely painful. He awoke in the morning and felt completely fine. However two or three days later Paul rubbed his stomach and felt a lump. When he checked he could see a small raised reddish lump on his stomach. He was a little concerned by this so decided to visit his GP. His doctor dismissed the lump as fatty tissue. The following morning upon checking the lump Paul was shocked to see extensive bruising in a ring around it. When he touched the lump he found that the skin on the top of it was beginning to peel off. He decided to return to his doctor. The doctor had no idea of what could have caused the bruising, but prescribed him some anti-biotics. Photograph of the lump and bruising taken on the day of discovery: It took about 5 days for the bruising to vanish, but the lump still exists today. It is about the size of a marble. Paul feels that the doctor’s initial diagnosis was incorrect, as fatty tissue does not create bruising like that which occurred. It certainly appears that he suffered some kind of trauma which has not yet been explained. In mid-January 2013 Paul noticed another reddish lump on the top of his lower left arm. It was about 2cm across. He had no idea of how long it had been there, whether it had occurred during that night or had been there for a number of days. Like the one on his stomach, this lump still exists today, so it is unlikely to be an inflamed spot or insect bite as this would have healed. Photograph of the lump on Paul’s left arm: On Friday 22nd February Nicolas was playing at a local park when he fell over hurting his head. The following morning he woke up complaining that his hip and groin were hurting. At first Paul and Susan decided not to act on this, but by dinner-time a large red lump, about 5 inches across, had appeared in Nicolas’ groin. Paul and Susan took him to the hospital. After being examined, a doctor confirmed that the lump was due to blood pooling inside his groin due to an injury. He said it would take over two weeks to heal, and would go solid before it did. However the following morning the lump had completely vanished, with only a slight itching sensation left behind. Two days later on the morning of Tuesday 26th February  Nicolas informed his parents that he had had a strange dream during the night. In this dream he said that the family were out in their car. He looked up into the air and saw a pale grey coloured pole-shaped object. He got out of the car and climbed onto it, and then went flying on it. While flying, it bounced off the wall of a local Tesco’s store near to where they live. In the dream, only he could see the object, it was not visible to Paul or Susan. It is unknown if this had anything to do with what had happened several days previously, or if it was nothing more than a dream. For the following few days after having this dream, Paul and Susan noticed some differences in their son’s behaviour. He started to ask for his bedroom light to be left on at night, something which he would not usually do. Also he seemed to be sleeping in longer than usual. Most mornings he would be up between 5-7am, but for these days he had to be woken up around 8.30am. These behavioural changes are interesting. While they could be nothing more than coincidence, it should be noted that contactees often get a fear of going to sleep at night and of the dark. This is probably because they are aware that this is when they have been visited or taken. On Thursday 28th February 2013 it was Paul’s turn to awake with an unusual marking. He noticed a small reddish marking, about 3cm across, in the rough shape of a triangle on the bottom of his right forearm. In the middle of it appeared to be an open puncture mark. When he touched it, it was stinging slightly like the skin had been taken off. He had been drinking the evening before so cannot be absolutely certain it was not on his arm when he went to bed, but he does not recall bumping his arm or doing anything which could have been responsible for the marking. There is also nothing sharp near to his bed which he could have accidentally struck during the night. Photograph of the marking on Paul’s right arm: Paul showed the marking to his wife. When he did so, she informed him that during the night she had awoke about 2am with the sense of a presence in the room. She felt like she was being watched. She sat up in bed and looked around but could not see anything out of the ordinary, and so settled back down to sleep. It is unknown whether this is relevant in any way regarding the appearance of the marking, but contactees often describe feeling like they are being watched, sometimes just prior to a contact experience. Paul was amazed by how straight edged the marking appeared. It did not look like something natural, such as a spot or blister. Within a day the open puncture-like area had a thin scab over it. By 6th March the marking was still visible but had begun to heal. Paranormal Activity After seeing the metallic UFO, unusual things seemed to start happening around Paul’s home. This was interesting as they had lived at the property for several years with nothing odd taking place. Within weeks of the UFO sighting, Paul heard two unexplained noises on the same night. The first of these occurred around 10pm, while he was in the bedroom alone watching TV. It sounded like a quiet low pitched gong being struck outside but close to the house. Paul heard it three times in succession. Susan was watching TV downstairs at the time. When Paul asked her, she confirmed that she had not heard the sound and that it had not been coming from what she was watching. That night Paul and his son Nicolas stayed up late. It was around 2.40am and they were both in the bedroom watching TV. Suddenly they heard the chiming sound again. Like earlier it repeated three times but this time it was both louder and higher in pitch. It reminded Paul of church bells. Nicolas asked him “Did you hear that dad?” Paul replied “What? The bell sound?” to which Nicolas replied “Yes”. Recently Paul asked Nicolas about the incident, and he can still remember being puzzled by the sounds. Paul does not believe that the sounds were coming from a nearby vehicle or equipment on the ground, as he has not heard anything like it before or since. They live quite close to a church, but it is extremely unlikely that the church bells were being rang in the middle of the night. Soon afterwards, on another night, Paul and his wife were lying in bed watching TV with the light off. It was about 11pm when suddenly they both heard what sounded like deep male laughter. It sounded like it was right next to them within the room. Susan thought Paul had made the noise until she asked him and he confirmed that he had not made the sound and had heard it too. When asked whether it could have originated from outside the house, such as a neighbour, Paul informed me that there was a middle aged woman living next door who rarely had visitors, and that the noise had sounded too close to them to have come from outside. Later in the year, between mid-October and early November, on 6 separate occasions Paul heard what sounded like a young boy speaking. It always occurred upstairs, sometimes in the evening when he was lying in bed and at other times during the day. On one occasion Paul was in the bathroom and heard what sounded like talking coming from elsewhere in the house. He assumed it was Susan talking with Nicolas. After he exited the bathroom he asked Susan if Nicolas wanted him, to which she replied that he was asleep in bed and had not been making any sounds at all. On all the other occasions Paul heard a voice exclaim “Dad!” It always seemed to come from the landing, but when he went to check there would be nothing there. Nicolas always denied making the sounds. The voice sounded a little similar to his son, but not identical. Paul wonders to this day what caused these voices and why they occurred for several weeks but then ceased. On intermittent occasions since September 2012, Paul’s main bedroom light has dimmed by itself for a couple of seconds before returning to normal brightness. Paul asked his neighbour if she had been experiencing any electrical disturbances to make sure there was no problem with the electrics in the area. She confirmed that all the lights in her property were working fine. This could of course be down to a fault in the wiring, however it is interesting that it began after Paul’s UFO sighting, and had never occurred before. One night in late 2012, Nicolas awoke in the early hours of the morning absolutely terrified. He came through into Paul and Susan’s room with wide eyes. He was clearly very agitated and kept staring at the bedroom door saying that there was a shadowy figure staring at him with outstretched arms. Neither Paul or Susan could see anything, but for a good while Nicolas was adamant it was there. In the end they were able to settle him back off to sleep. After looking online, Paul and Susan came to the conclusion that he had experienced a night terror, something which I would fully agree on as the most likely explanation. Because of the unusual incidents the family had been experiencing, in early February 2013 Paul and Susan decided to set up a webcam in their bedroom while they slept. Each morning Paul would skip through the footage to see if anything unusual had been captured. One morning when he played back the footage he heard some brief chuckling sounds. They sounded very similar to the male laughter they had previously heard in the room but were not as loud. On a different night the webcam picked up a glowing orb of light which only lasted a couple of seconds before vanishing. At present the footage is uncompressed and is too large for Paul to send it me directly, but I hope to find a way to obtain it soon so it can be analysed and added to this report. Black & White One day in early February 2013, Paul was alone in his bedroom. He looked out of his bedroom window at the local neighbourhood. It was a very cold but clear day, and there was snow on the ground. He then noticed something white fluttering in the air. It was about 10 feet from the window and appeared to be about 4 inches across. He initially thought it was a white butterfly, and turned around. As he did he asked himself “A butterfly in this weather?” He turned back round to see if it was still visible. He happened to look down towards the road at this moment. The white object was nowhere to be seen, but down on the road Paul caught sight of a dark shape. He briefly saw what appeared to be a large black animal of some kind cross the road and enter a neighbour’s garden. It looked too large to be a cat or badger. Paul says there is the possibility that it was a large black dog roaming freely, but he has never seen one in the neighbourhood before or since. Photograph of the sighting location with the black thing drawn on top: The entire incident seemed very odd indeed to Paul. First of all he’d seen a white flying object which he could not identify. And then moments later seen a black shape cross the road which looked like nothing he had ever seen before. There is no evidence that the two were related, but is interesting that they occurred directly after one another. Face & Small Being Photograph On 1st March 2013 between 10-10.30pm Paul’s wife Susan was dropping Kerry, a family friend, back to her home on Cross Street in Carlton, Nottingham. It was a cloudy evening and quite cold. Kerry was in the passenger seat of the car. When Susan pulled the car into the drive of Kerry’s house, Kerry got out and walked round the front of the car heading towards the gate. Suddenly she stopped and looked in the direction of the hedge in front of her. She beckoned to Susan who was about to drive off. Susan got out of the car too and walked to where Kerry was standing. Susan got out her Sony Xperia Tipo mobile camera phone and took a photo in the direction Kerry was looking. When Susan looked she could see what appeared to be a small creature of some kind standing in the grass below the hedge. It wasn’t moving and she was not frightened by it, just curious. She assumed that this is what her friend was also looking at. They stopped looking towards the hedge and said goodbye to each other. When Susan arrived home she checked the photograph and could see that the small figure was visible. She showed the photo to Paul. He was intrigued by what the photo may show. He also noticed something else above it. It appeared to resemble a face peering out from inside the hedge. Soon afterwards decided to contact me about it to hear my thoughts. The original photograph: Photograph with face and small being ringed: Enhanced and zoomed view of the face: Enhanced and zoomed view of the small being: Although it is not outside the realms of possibility that there was a small being, ET or otherwise, standing in the grass, and another peering out from the bush, it is more likely that the being and the face are simulacrums. This is where light and shadow causes the brain to make shapes and see things which are not really there. The fact that the face was not seen at the time, and the fact that neither witness saw the small being move increases the likelihood of this. Neither the being or the face are clear enough on the photograph or of a distinct enough colour to say with certainty that they are separate entities and not just vegetation. That said, below is a comparison between the area of interest in the photograph and a daylight equivalent: As you can see, there does not appear to be anything in the left hand photograph which is obviously responsible for the small being in the grass or the face in the hedge. This may be due to the fact that the daylight photo was clearly taken at a different time of year (as indicated by the presence of white flowers on the hedge). It should also be noted that the two witnesses were standing in different positions on the drive, yet both could see something down in the grass, tending to suggest there was something really there. For these reasons the possibility that the being and face are simulacrums is not an absolute certainty, which is why the photograph has been included in this report. Conclusion It is unknown whether any of the unusual incidents and strange markings that have appeared are related to contact. While there are certainly many interesting aspects to the experiences of Paul and his family, some of which do fit in with aspects commonly reported with contact, neither Paul or Nicolas actually remember seeing any beings or of finding themselves in unfamiliar surroundings. Also neither of them felt in any way unusual on the mornings when they discovered the markings, and in seeing them did not have any flashbacks to an abduction, which one might sometimes expect in such circumstances. Paul’s UFO sightings may have been genuine craft sightings, but also have the possibility of being mundane objects such as inflatables or remote controlled models due to their relative small size. While aspects of the markings do seem unusual, such as the bruising which appeared on Paul’s stomach, or the strangely triangular shape of the marking on his right arm, this is not really enough evidence to suggest that they are the result of repeated abductions. Perhaps they were just the result of local infections or accidental damage. The fact that Paul had been drinking on the evening before he found the triangular marking increases the probability that it was the result of accidentally bumping his arm into something sharp. The photo possibly showing a small being and face of another entity was not taken by Paul, so is unlikely to be directly related to his other experiences. Due to the fact that neither of the witnesses saw anything actually move or run away while taking the photo it is inconclusive. This case is certainly interesting, and there are signs that contact may be involved, but at present there is not enough evidence to say that is the definitive explanation. If Paul decides to keep in touch this report may well be updated with further experiences as and when they occur. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 18/05/2013 Introduction Back in 2011 I received details of a sighting from a man who used to be a police officer in Sudbury, Ontario. He reported that back in October 1965 while on active service he witnessed a glowing white UFO while on patrol one night. The case was very convincing and a detailed report was written up and published. In April 2013 a man filled out a sighting report form via the BUFOG website to report a sighting he and his friend had experienced while they were children. The sighting also took place in Sudbury, only one month prior to the other sighting. It is extremely likely given the proxmity of both the location and the sighting dates that this was the same or a very similar object. There are also two other sightings from Michigan, the state just south of Ontario, which happened in October 1965. While these may not necessarily have been directly related, this possibility still exists. Links to both the other reports can be found towards the end of this one. Sighting Details It was between 4.30 and 5pm on a Sunday in September 1965. Mike and his friend Helen (who were 11 years old at the time) were playing outside on Old Highway 69 in Greater Sudbury, Ontario. The area is on the fringe of the city and is quite rural and sparsely populated. It was a clear and calm afternoon and there was nobody else around at the time. Mike and Helen were throwing a paint can lid back and forth to each other like a Frisbee. It went down a small gulley, so they went to retrieve it to continue their game. It was cigar-shaped and appeared to be bright metallic white in colour. It was so brilliant that it appeared to be glowing. It is possible this was due to sunlight reflecting off its surface, although Mike does not think this was the case. It appeared to be about 30-50 feet in length and 15-20 feet in depth. The object was about a mile from their location and at quite low altitude. Mike estimates it was about 150 feet high. It was moving slowly, between 5-10 mph, in a North Easterly direction. Mike’s drawing of the UFO: The children were amazed at what they were observing. It was clear that the object had no wings, tail or other visible attachments. They watched it travel slowly across the sky. Then suddenly without warning the object massively increased in velocity and flew away at an incredible speed, crossing the horizon in a couple of seconds! Mike and Helen looked at each other wide eyed in shock. They then ran home to excitedly tell Helen’s mother what they had witnessed. When they told her what they had seen, she took a loaf of bread out of the oven and said “Oh well, I guess the moon men are coming.” Mike felt confused that she wasn't taking what he had said seriously, so ran home to tell his own parents. He had trouble in understanding why they did not share his sense of excitement. The following day at school Mike put his hand up and told the class about the sighting. They all laughed at him. After this he did not talk about it much more. The reactions of both the parents and his school friends show that even back in the 1960s many people had an unwillingness to believe in UFOs, which is sadly still the case today. Sightings Overview This is a very convincing UFO sighting, and one which I feel was certainly a genuine craft. The object was clearly not an aircraft. At the distance and altitude it was seen at the wings and tail would certainly have been visible. If it wasn't for the stunning manoeuvres the object was seen to perform there is the chance that it could have been a white coloured blimp. However the instant acceleration to an extremely fast speed shows that it was something highly unusual and definitely not an inflatable, powered or otherwise. Due to the fact that the object was moving slowly at first for over a minute, it could not have been a daytime meteorite entering the atmosphere. As it was daylight there is certainly the possibility that the UFO was observed by other people. However Mike says that the area was quite rural so not many people were about, at least in his location. Sadly Mike has not kept in touch with Helen and has not spoken to her in over 40 years, so I am unable to speak to her about what she remembers. However this is still a very impressive sighting, and through the correspondence I have shared with Mike I am convinced that it took place as he has reported. Other Possible Sightings As mentioned at the start of this report, another sighting of a glowing white UFO occurred in Sudbury within a month of this one. Due to the appearance of the craft and manoeuvres observed it is extremely likely to be the same or a similar object. There is a seperate case report on this incident. The report on two UFO sightings which occurred in Michigan in October 1965 again has a seperate case report. While the appearance was not exactly the same they may still be related. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 18/05/2013 Warning: This report contains graphic colour images of a dead sheep. Introduction The animal mutilation phenomenon is a very bizarre and disturbing aspect of the UFO subject. Despite there being a relatively low number of reported cases than with other aspects of the subject such as UFO sightings or abductions, especially within the UK, mutilations are still occurring and should not be ignored. The media rarely cover such incidents but this does not mean that they are not taking place. Some people believe that all mutilation cases have natural explanations, despite some very interesting evidence which suggests otherwise. However there are many researchers, myself included, who still consider them directly related to the extra-terrestrial presence on Earth. While it is true that some cases have no doubt been the result of natural death and decay, there are others which have indicated removal of certain parts of the animal using sharp/heated cutting tools or where animals have been entirely drained of blood. There are also known cases where a UFO has been witnessed and then a mutilated animal has been found in the same area shortly afterwards. There also appears to be a military interest in the subject, as black military helicopters have often been reported hovering near to where mutilations have been discovered. As Birmingham UFO Group is an urban-based group situated in one of the largest cities of the UK, it is unsurprising that we do not have many mutilation cases reported to us. Most mutilations take place on open farmland, something that Birmingham is not particularly well known for! However occasionally we have been sent details of suspected mutilation cases. This is one such example. Carcass Discovery Details Andy Zukowski is a support worker from Tiverton in Devon. On 9th April 2011 he and two of his clients were out walking along a 3.5 mile long national footpath that runs through farmland between Collipriest and Bickleigh. It was about 4.30pm. The weather was dull and overcast but dry. The ground was a little damp but it did not look like it had rained for several days. Aerial map showing locations of Collipriest (A) and Bickleigh (B): During the return leg of their walk they came across a number of dead sheep in various states of decay. This is not uncommon while out walking in Devon. All the carcasses looked completely normal as Andy would expect them to appear. After seeing about 5 carcasses Andy then noticed one lying in a field about 20 metres away from the edge of the path. The field lies alongside Tiverton sewage treatment works. There were some other carcasses nearby and some live sheep at the other end of the field. Aerial photograph showing the location of the field: The carcass looked different to the others; its wounds looked unfamiliar to him. He and his clients approached it to take a closer look. The animal was lying on one side. On the upper side it was clear that the eye and the majority of the ear were missing. It had a large gaping hole around the rectal area. Considering the size of the wound there was no blood visible, or flesh on the ground beneath it. There was no blood surrounding the carcass, just a small amount running from the nose. The damage to the animal looked like clean cuts, there were no visible bite marks on it. There was some wool on the ground around the rear of the sheep, but it appeared that this could have been from shearing, as there was no blood on it and it was scattered rather than clearly from one direction. The injuries visible on the carcass immediately reminded Andy of an animal mutilation, as he has an interest in the UFO subject and had seen mutilation photographs before. He says that he has never come across any other animal with wounds such as this in the 33 years he has been walking in Devon. After examining the carcass for about 20 minutes he and his clients then continued on their way. 20 minutes later Andy returned to the site with his brother to take some colour photographs of the animal. Two days later he got in touch with BUFOG about his discovery. After discussing the carcass with Andy via E-Mail I made plans to drive down to Devon to see it with my own eyes. However the earliest I could do this would be Saturday the 13th April. I asked Andy if he could return to the location on the evening of the 12th to ensure that it was still present, which he agreed was a good course of action. At 6.15pm Andy returned to the field where the animal had been situated. Unfortunately he discovered that all the dead sheep had been cleared away, probably by the farmer. There was nothing left on the ground where the animal had been lying. 90 minutes previously Andys friend Gareth had travelled out to the field to take a look at the carcass after seeing the photographs Andy had taken. When Andy spoke with him after returning to the field, Gareth informed him that he had seen some other dead sheep but not the one which had been photographed. It appears that this one had been cleared away first at an earlier point of time. Due to the fact that the animal was cleared away, no further examination of it could take place. I therefore only have the photographs to base my analysis on. Carcass Photographs Below are many of the photographs which Andy took of the dead sheep (Several similar photographs not included). On approach to the carcass: Head with missing right eye and ear: Close up of the remains of the right eye and ear: Patch of missing wool on body: Rear of carcass and scattered wool on ground: Damage to rectal area: Photographic Analysis After examining the photographs of the carcass, I feel that it is probable that on this occasion the death of the animal was natural and this is not a mutilation. My conclusion is based on the following reasoning: - The carcass seems a little bloated, and it is likely to have been there for a number of days despite the general lack of decomposition. - There are no wounds on the animal which are obviously artificial. - The eye and ear are the most fleshy parts of the head, and are therefore the parts which are removed first by scavengers. - There is no removal of jaw flesh, a common trait of animal mutilation incidents. - It does not appear that the animal has been drained of blood, as blood can be seen running from the nose. - The damage around the rectal area and surrounding wool on the ground is likely to be the result of scavengers, and indicate that it has been used as an entry point into the carcass. - There were other dead sheep in the nearby vicinity at different stages of decay. This shows that something had recently caused the decease of livestock in the area, probably the cold weather over the preceding weeks (I hope to verify this soon with the farmer) In order to ensure that I was correct in my assumptions, I decided to contact Mike Freebury from the Animal Pathology Field Unit, a UK-based expert on animal mutilations. After sending him the photographs (with Andy’s permission), he replied with the following comments: “It looks like a natural death to me. Unfortunately, we do not know how long the animal has been dead and we do not know if the tongue has been removed. I suspect that decomposition may be quite advanced and that wild animals, in particular rats and crows, have had a go at the carcass. The best time to get to a mute case is within 24 hours of death. A vet told me that the body can stay warm for up to 18 hours after death. A lot of sheep have died in this cold spell and this could be just another. However, with the body now disposed of we may never know for sure.” As you can see, Mike’s thoughts on the photographs echo my own. At present it seems likely that this was not a mutilation case. However I would like to thank Andy for his initiative in taking the photographs and getting in touch. It is always best to remain observant rather than simply ignoring suspected mutilations, as reported incidents aid in deepening our understanding of this unsettling subject. I would also like to thank Mike for his comments on the photos.
