Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Year: 2014 Last Updated: 29/05/2025   Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used   Premonitions   Since his early childhood Luke claims to have had premonitions at various times, something he refers to as “twinkles”. He says these are involuntary and cannot be initiated directly.   One early example he provided occurred when he was 7 years old. He was across his grandfather’s house. His grandfather was suffering from depression at the time, and had resorted to taking un-medicated pills. Luke sensed that this was going on, but also knew that he was hiding them under the bed. Sure enough when he went and checked he found them at that exact spot.   These premonitions have continued throughout his adult life. His step-daughter lives by the coast. One day the word “ocean” randomly popped into his mind. About three hours later his step-daughter turned up unannounced. On another occasion he was driving his car to work when he sensed that in three days there would be a car accident at the location. According to Luke this did indeed happen just as he had felt it would. Early Contact?   Luke spent his childhood years living with his family on Selbourne Close, Petersfield. When he was 12 years old he had an experience which he interpreted as a strange dream. At the time he used to share a bedroom with his older brother on the front of the house.   Aerial map of Selbourne Close In the dream it was after dark. He got up and looked out of the window. Outside he saw white spotlights coming down from the sky and sweeping across the ground over. They were trailing over the green and the roofs of nearby houses. He then heard a male voice say to him “Go back to bed and forget about this.”   Photograph of Selbourne Close green It is entirely possible that this was not a dream at all. The spotlights could have been from a craft which was out of sight due to its altitude, and the voice he heard may have been telepathic communication from beings aboard that craft who were aware that they were being watched by him.   White Light   Around 2004 Luke makes a living as a freelance chef. He used to work out in Bentley, near to Wrecclesham at a pub called The Bull. At the time he lived in Portsmouth. He would ride to work on his 500cc motorbike. He used to finish work at 10:30pm before making the return journey home.   Aerial map of The Bull Inn (now closed) Photograph of The Bull Inn He used to travel South along Gravel Hill Road through Alice Holt Forest, and then join the A325 close to the Forest Research centre. One night in autumn as he reached the junction saw the sky above the forest lit up in bright white light like a football stadium ahead of him to the East in the direction of Rowledge.   Aerial map indicating the route through the forest and A325 junction The light was so beautiful that he pulled up by the side of the road and stood there staring at it for about 15 minutes. There was no distinguishable source for the light, it was just coming up from behind the trees. Sadly he did not have a camera on him at the time. After admiring the sight for a while he got back on his bike and carried on home.   Photograph of the junction in the direction the light was situated A couple of days later he mentioned the incident to the head chef at work. He had no idea what the light could have been.   Several days after this he was once again driving home and the light was there again in the same location. Like before he stopped and stared at it, but this time left the engine of his bike running and did not stay for as long. After this second night he did not see the light re-appear.   The fact that the light appeared on two different occasions tends to suggest it may have been from floodlights temporarily set up somewhere, perhaps related to some after-dark construction or roadworks going on, or possibly an event taking place, but it is still a mystery at present.   The Deer By 2006 Luke had moved to Winchester. He began to have the urge to visit Crab Wood at Farley Mount on the outskirts of the town. Because of this compulsion he used to take the dogs walking there. However part of the route took him along a loggers path which had Conifer trees on one side and planted Beech trees on the other.   Aerial map of Crab Wood Strangely whenever he reached the end of the path he would feel frightened for an unknown reason. His heart would start to beat faster and he would begin to panic. He would feel the need to run along the path very fast and get away from the location as quickly as possible. The dogs on the other hand loved the area, and would usually run off into the trees out of sight for a period of time.   One day while heading along the path he suddenly came face to face with a deer. It was standing only 5 feet in front of him extremely still. He stood there staring at it for a good while. He had recently lost his mother and thought that maybe it was her re-incarnated. At one point he actually asked “Mum?” The deer continued to stand there.   After around 15 minutes it slowly turned to its left and began to wander away from him. He looked round to where it had come from and saw another six deer all staring at him. Another young deer then started to walk in his direction. It did not get close though, and stopped moving about 35 feet away before calling out for a while.   Luke felt the situation was very strange considering his particular fear of the area, yet compulsion to return to it. Later on he looked into the screen memory phenomenon and wonders if this was a visitation, with the beings masking their true appearance.   In 2013 he decided to visit a hypnotherapist to see if he could find out more about what may have taken place. Unfortunately he could not relax enough to be hypnotised. But the hypnotherapist suggested he may be psychic, and the fear he felt may have been because of something bad which happened at the location in the past.   When he got home he looked up Crab Wood on the internet. However the only thing he found was that in 2002 an infamous crop formation of a Grey being holding a disc which contained a message in binary appeared at the nearby Crabwood Farm.   The Crabwood Farm crop formation Obviously the formation is quite dramatic and many believe it to be hoaxed. They were staying at a hotel. After having a small couple of bottles of beer, he retired to the room a while leaving his wife by the pool, as the temperature was too hot for him. It was about 2pm. He lay down on the bed and closed his eyes.   Suddenly he felt the sensation of something grabbing him by the ankles and dragging him diagonally across the bed. Strangely this did not concern him, but he was scared he was going to be pulled off the edge of the bed so he opened his eyes.   He turned his head to the right to look across the room in the direction he was being pulled, and immediately noticed a black cloaked figure standing about 4 feet away from him in a bent over position. Reacting to its presence he swung his head back round to the left to shout out that there was someone in the room.   All of a sudden he became really calm. At the same time he also sensed that he had been moved across the bed. A memory of his girlfriend from earlier in his life popped into his mind, and then he seemed to drop back off to sleep.   Next he felt something grab him behind both knees and lift his entire legs up into the air. Again this did not seem to bother him, so he kept his eyes closed. He then heard a voice close to his right ear say “Let me show you”   Now he was frightened and tried to respond to it and say “Leave me alone.”  But when he did he found his voice only came out as a croak. A short period of time went by in which he struggled to speak. Eventually he was able to get the words out. At this point he realised he was fully awake. He jumped up off the bed and ran down to the pool to tell his wife what happened. Once they were back from their holiday he looked up what had happened to him online. He found that a lot of the aspects he experienced were known side effects of sleep paralysis, and put it down to this.   Forearm Marking   In 2013 Luke moved to the village of Kings Worthy, just North of Winchester.   Aerial map of Kings Worthy One morning when he woke up he noticed a circle of red dots on his inner right arm. It was about 1cm across and reminded him of the needle marks left by a BCG vaccination. The marking was not painful or sore to the touch, and the dots were not raised but were quite prominent. It reminded him of a day in his teenage years when he found another marking on his upper left leg.   The dots remained for about 3-4 days before fading away. As Luke did not have any recollections of contact at the time it is possible that the dots were just natural or caused by insect bites. But I have dealt with other cases where near identical markings have been reported.   Shadowy Form   Luke’s house has a long back garden with cabin down at the end of it. One day he was in the cabin relaxing and decided to step outside for some fresh air. About half way along the garden is an apple tree. He happened to glance towards this tree, and suddenly noticed a dark shadowy form. It moved across from the right to the left of the tree within the branches.   The sight of it gave him goosebumps. It was about 6-7 feet wide and 4 feet tall, and looked like a smoke-like entity crawling across the branches. After a number of seconds it vanished without trace.   Conclusions   Luke has had some intriguing experiences over the years. Some of these experiences may have mundane explanations, and could just be down to interpretation, but are certainly interesting. While he has not had any conclusive experiences linked with contact, such as confirmed visitations or abductions, there are certainly signs that he may have experienced contact.   Copyright Dave Hodrien 2025

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Year: 2015 Last Updated: 27/05/2025   Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used   Coloured Orbs   As a child Nicola lived with her family in a house in Crewe, close to the train station. Through 1982 and 1983 between the ages of 2-3 she recalls seeing glowing blue and red orbs of light drift into her room through the window during the night. These orbs would surround her in the air and she would then feel something go into her head.   Aerial map of Crewe train station She then recalled being lifted up off the bed into the air. She would float out of her bedroom, down the stairs and out of the house. These are the only memories she has of this, but remembers it happening on multiple occasions. On one of these occasions her family’s pet cat was in the room and it started growling at the window before the orbs entered the room.   Psychic Abilities   Nicola informed me that since childhood she believes that she possesses psychic abilities. She says she is very intuitive and sensitive to people’s emotions, and can sometimes sense what people are thinking.   She also claims to have had many premonitions and precognitions over the years. This sometimes appears like a vision in front of her eyes showing her what is going to happen. Often it will warn her of dangers or accidents which are going to happen.   On 28th September 2011 she was seeing off her brother at Crewe Train Station, as he was off on holiday to New Zealand. After his train had departed she suddenly started to feel panicked and could sense that something was going to happen at the station. It was like a voice in her head telling her to leave as soon as possible. She did so, walking along Nantwich Road to get to the short stay car park. Soon afterwards an underground fault occurred which caused a series of explosions that blew a number of manhole covers off on the road, injuring a couple of other pedestrians.   A BBC news report on this incident can be read here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-15271886   On her 12th birthday Nicola went out with some friends. On the way back home in the car she suddenly had a vision of her father lying on the ground. When she got back home she found out that her father had collapsed with glandular fever and had been taken to hospital.   In recent years there has been a lot of wars and suffering in the world. Sometimes she gets sudden flashes of images in her mind showing scenes of this destruction. These images are often very rapid but affect her greatly, causing her to sometimes breakdown in tears. She says it feels like “something being downloaded to her.”   Nicola informed me that these abilities run in her family. She mentioned that her father’s mother was also very intuitive and would have precognitions/premonitions. On one occasion she apparently had a vision of someone’s son drowning. Her grandmother’s claims of these abilities are fully supported by her father.   Grandmother’s Light   One evening Nicola was feeling tired and was about to leave the remainder of her dinner and head up to sleep. Suddenly she heard the word “Eat” in her ear. She obeyed the voice and continued eating her food.   The following morning she woke up with a strange high pitched humming sound in her head. The noise was continuous and nobody else seemed to be able to hear it. Soon after getting up the phone rang. It was another family member who had rang to tell them that her grandmother had sadly passed away the previous afternoon.   Through the day the humming sound continued, resulting in a strong headache. That evening she saw a light blue wavy light suddenly seemingly emerge from her own head. At the same moment the high pitched noise finally stopped. It hovered across the room and disappeared into the wall. Nicola felt that it was the energy of her grandmother, and that part of this energy remained with her. She explained that it was a very pleasant experience and not at all frightening.   Static Sounds   Since her teenage years Nicola has on occasion heard an electrical static sounding noise coming from the switched off television in her bedroom. When she has heard this sound it gets louder and louder in volume. In more recent years when her young son has entered the room the sound has immediately ceased, it only seems to occur when she is on her own.   This noise has occurred at numerous addresses and always seems to emanate from the television set. It has occurred both during the day and night, though is easier to hear at night while lying in bed. It has concerned Nicola so much that she has gone to her GP about it to ask whether it is related to tinnitus. However he has confirmed that her hearing is fine.   Mother’s UFO Sighting Nicola informed me of a UFO/UAP sighting her mother had in 1996. Her mother had apparently gone into town shopping, and down the street saw a UFO/UAP hovering down low between the houses. She looked away and back again but it was still present in the sky. No further details of this incident are known currently.   Son’s Visitations   While her son was young Nicola used to live with him in Wheelock, Sandbach, Cheshire. They used to sleep in the same room.   Aerial map of Wheelock In 1998 when he was 7 years old he began to shout out during the night. Nicola would find him outside of the bedroom door. When she tried to get him to go back to sleep he would refuse to go back into the room, gripping the door frame in fear. He would say there was a man in there with a white face and black eyes. Nicola used to calm him down by talking or getting him a drink, and in the end he would re-enter the room and drop back off to sleep.   This happened on multiple occasions for the next two years, but eventually seemed to cease. At the time Nicola assumed he may have been seeing a ghostly apparition, but later on after looking into the contact phenomenon realised he was describing a Grey being.   The White Orb   Around the same time as her son’s visitations Nicola started to sense the presence of another “higher being” while lying in bed at night. When she wishes to converse with this being it would appear in the form of a glowing orb of white light. The orb emerged from the ceiling of her room and descended down near to her. She sensed a strong bond with it.   One night around 3-3:30am she woke up and the white orb was already there, floating above her. She then heard a telepathic message in her mind which said “There is a higher power here. Look out of the window.”     Nicola did not want to be the only person to witness what was about to happen, so she called out to her son saying “Tom wake up! Look out of the window now!”   He did and they both quickly looked out of the window. A moment later they witnessed a single bolt of lightning hit a short tree on the opposite side of the road near to the bus stop! Nicola noted that there had just been the lightning flash, no thunder sound, and that the weather did not appear to be stormy. The telepathic voice then said to her “That’s a gift for you!”   Tom was very excited by what had happened. In the end they both settled back down back to sleep. Nicola does not recall checking the tree afterwards for any damage.   Vanishing Pregnancies   Nicola informed me that there have been numerous times in her adult life when she has felt pregnant. This feeling has lasted for around two months and then suddenly disappeared. On none of these occasions did she visit her GP to confirm whether she actually was pregnant or not.   It is entirely possible these were merely false pregnancies and nothing more, but a later experience she would have possibly put this into question.   Nordic Visitation   In 2009 when Nicola was 28 years old she awoke one night with the sound of her name being called. When she opened her eyes she found the room bathed in bright blue light. Standing in the light was a young lady. She was dressed in white and appeared to be about 20-30 years old. Her skin was pale, and she had piercing blue eyes, but looked quite human. The lady felt friendly to her and she was not frightened by her appearance in the room.   Nicola sat up in bed to get a better look at her, but then felt suddenly drowsy like she was being forced back to sleep. When she awoke again it was morning time. Since this experience she regularly thinks about the lady and welcomes another visit by her.   The Grey Returns   On the evening Tuesday 3rd March 2015 Nicola was feeling completely fine. She would usually stay up till about 10:30pm but around 8:30pm she suddenly began feeling extremely tired, almost like she was being intentionally put to sleep.   At 2am she suddenly awoke and sat up in bed with a feeling of unease. She got out of bed and went downstairs to get a drink. On returning to bed this unsettled feeling remained, but she believes that despite this she must have dropped back off to sleep.   Her next recollection is of waking with a feeling of pressure on her forehead pushing it down into the pillow. She opened her eyes and saw a blurred white oval-shaped face staring down at her. It had completely black almond-shaped eyes. It was about 1.5 feet away, and she is unsure if it was floating, or a being alongside the bed leaning over her. At the same moment she heard words directly inside her mind which stated “You are being watched.”   She only looked at it a brief moment before leaping up out of bed in a panicked state. The figure immediately vanished. She was extremely upset by what had just happened so she decided to go through to her son’s room (who was now 17) and wake him up. He was sympathetic to her, and reminded her of the experiences he used to previously have as a child. Nicola did not want to return to her own bedroom after what had happened, so in the end settled down to sleep on the floor of her son’s room.   The following morning she felt extremely paranoid that the being was still in her proximity. This feeling made her feel odd and unwell. When she checked her mobile phone she found that it was out of charge. Her son also informed her that his phone was out of charge. It was like they had both been entirely drained of any remaining battery life.   Repeated Dreams   On 5th March Nicola woke up between 3:15am for an unknown reason. She usually sleeps soundly till morning time so this was extremely unusual. She got up out of bed wondering why she was awake then went and got a drink. After this she got back into bed and dropped back off.   However she then experienced an extremely vivid dream. In this dream she was sitting on a bed in a room she did not recognise. It reminded her of a hotel room. Standing around her were a number of Grey beings. They were slender, unclothed and had white coloured skin. Only their large black eyes were visible, there was no noticeable nose, ears or mouth. The beings were standing very close to her but it did not feel frightening, instead it almost felt like a big group hug.   Witness drawing of one of the Greys At around 4am she again woke up and immediately remembered the dream, wondering what it could mean.   For the next 7 nights the same thing occurred. She would wake up, drop back off and then have a vivid dream. However the dream was not always the same. Sometimes she dreamt of another room with lots of beds, with other unrecognised humans sitting on them. In this other location there were no Grey beings present.   In another dream she was in a different room again, being held by an individual Grey. She grabbed hold of one of the unclothed arms of the being. It felt cold to the touch. The skin felt loose, silky and slightly wet, and she could feel the bone underneath.   Witness drawing of the Grey's arm After a week of waking up and vivid dreams they suddenly ceased, and Nicola felt somewhat relieved to get a good night’s sleep. However several days later she had another vivid dream, this time again different and quite traumatic. She dreamt she was back in the hotel-like room. A Grey handed her a female baby, but it was not fully human. It had a pale face and dark eyes. Even though it did not look fully human she sensed that it was her own daughter.   Witness drawing of the baby The Grey handed her a spear and informed her that it was the “spear of destiny”. She was then asked to kill the baby with it. In the dream she viewed this baby as a demon, despite sensing that it was hers. She stabbed the baby with the spear, and at this moment woke up. This last dream was very upsetting to her, and was one of the reasons which prompted her to get in touch with BUFOG.   Conclusions   Nicola has had some fascinating and varied experiences throughout her life. The Grey visitations experienced by both her and previously her son confirm that they have both experienced contact. It is very probable that the unusual vivid dreams Nicola had following her own experience with this being are flashbacks to an abduction, with aspects changed by either screen memories or just her own imagination. It is also interesting to note that Nicola has experienced a visitation by a female Nordic, one of the other more commonly described species/types of being.   The baby she was handed was very likely to have been a hybrid created from her own DNA. I have investigated numerous cases where exactly the same thing has been reported. It is possible that the aspect of her killing it with the spear is just symbolic of her revulsion towards it and did not actually take place. It was very clear when Nicola got in touch with me that she had no knowledge of what is commonly called the “hybrid program”, and found what had happened in the dream extremely confusing and upsetting.   Many experiencers report having psychic abilities or witnessing paranormal activity of various types, just as Nicola has mentioned. These are further strong signs that she has experienced contact and may continue to do so going forward.   When I first spoke with Nicola it was clear she was quite traumatised by her recent experiences. In speaking with me and looking into other contact cases online was able to gain more of an understanding of what was happening to her, which in turn reduced this initial fear and confusion. Birmingham UFO Group Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 12/01/2014 Last Updated: 20/05/2025 Introduction James first got in touch with me after watching a video of the lecture I gave on contact at the UFO Truth Magazine Conference in November 2013. He informed me of a number of unusual incidents he had experienced back in 2012, and asked for my opinions on them. Some of these incidents may have mundane explanations, but there are a number of facts which suggest that James may be a contactee. This report covers his experiences in detail. Orb Sightings In early 2012 James moved into a new high rise flat in Glasgow. Soon after doing so he had a number of separate sightings of glowing orbs in the night sky. On some of these occasions it was clear that they were nothing more than Chinese lanterns or distant aeroplanes. But at other times James saw star-like lights which appeared to be perform controlled manoeuvres in the sky. He was convinced that these objects were not distant helicopters, although this of course cannot be entirely ruled out. Sleep Paralysis Later in the year James developed an interest in sleep paralysis and began reading about its symptoms. A short while after this he began to experience it for himself. It appeared that reading about it had somehow triggered his body into actually experiencing it. He began to suffer from bouts of sleep paralysis on consecutive nights. Sometimes during these experiences he would see shadowy beings standing in the room, but he is convinced these were a side effect of the paralysis and nothing more. He could tell at the time that he was in a dream-like state of mind. The Black Box One night James randomly woke up at around 4 o’clock in the morning.  He decided to stay awake, but in the end dropped back off at around 5am. He felt that he then slept for between 30-40 minutes before waking up again. When he opened his eyes he lifted his head off the pillow and looked round the room. On the other side of the room floating above the right hand side of the television was what appeared to be a small solid rectangular-shaped black box. It was hovering motionless in the air. James says that usually he would have panicked at the sight of such a thing, but for some reason when he looked at it he was filled with a sense of calmness and tranquillity. It also felt familiar to him, like he had seen it before and knew exactly what it was doing there. Mock up of the hovering black box based on witness description For an inexplicable reason instead of getting out of bed or reacting to the situation, James then dropped back off to sleep. It was as if he had told himself “It’s just one of those small back box things again, just go back to sleep”.  In the morning when he awoke he remembered the black box and the feelings that he had experienced when he observed it. He cannot explain why he acted in the manner he did and finds the whole incident very strange indeed. Red Faced Being Later in 2012 James was chatting with a family member. He was very relaxed and happy. When he closed his eyes he suddenly saw an unusual face staring at him. It looked like a man with blood red coloured skin, pointed ears and jet black hair. This man had an inverted triangular-shaped golden crust of bone protruding from between his eyebrows, and a menacing wide smile on his face. James was shocked by the vision and opened and closed his eyes again but the image was still present for a further 5 seconds, which felt longer at the time. After this the image of the face faded away. It felt to him that there had been some kind of screen behind his eyelids when he closed them. What could have been the explanation for what James saw? It seems unlikely that it was just his imagination. He had no reason to dream up the image of this face and was not thinking about ETs or his prior experiences at the time. Nor did he recognise the face in any way from anything he had seen elsewhere. It is possible that the image was a waking flashback to a being he had seen at some point in his past. I have looked into a number of other contact cases where very similar things have been reported – sudden clear visions of staring faces. However if the vision really was a flashback to an actual experience, the being which James reported is not one which I have heard described before. It is far from a commonly reported appearance, although it is possible other people have reported them and I have just not yet come across these cases. Copyright Dave Hodrien 2025

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 18/05/2025 In March 2025 I was contacted by a man named Gary Freeman via the BUFOG website to inform us about a historical UFO/UAP sighting he and his wife at the time Suzanne had. This report covers what took place.   Sighting Details   On the evening of 10th October 1990 Gary and Suzanne drove to the NEC for a Billy Joel concert. After the show they walked back to their car and got back on the road to head for home, with Gary driving and Suzanne in the passenger seat. It was a mild and dry night. Gary cannot recall whether it was cloudy or not.   They began heading North West along the M6 motorway. At approximately 11.30pm they were between Junctions 8 and 9 close to the RAC rescue centre, RAC Bescot. Due to the time of night there was only very light traffic on the road.   Aerial map of M6 indicating the position the witnesses were at Photograph of the M6 around where the incident took place Gary was checking the left side mirror when suddenly through the passenger window he saw a brightly glowing white cigar-shaped object appear in the sky to the South West at an elevation of approximately 45 degrees. It reminded him of a fluorescent light tube. He pointed it out to Suzanne.   Photograph of the sighting location in the direction the UFO was situated The object was stationary and positioned at a sharp angle, at roughly 10 o’clock position. It was hard to judge how far away it was, but it looked quite large in size, about 50% of the width of the window. They both stared at it while continuing to drive along the motorway. Mock up of the UFO based on witness description After about 10 seconds it suddenly began shrinking down to the size of a star, then disappeared. Neither of them could explain what they had just witnessed. They discussed what it could have been as they continued their drive home.   The following morning Gary mentioned the sighting to his work colleagues. However they did not seem to be surprised. Some girls in the office informed him that the BBC had reported on the morning radio multiple UFO sightings around the Birmingham area on the previous night. Gary is unsure whether the other objects reported by people looked the same as what he and Suzanne had seen.   Sighting Analysis   Due to the shape and apparent size of the object seen this is certainly an intriguing sighting. Due to the proximity of the sighting location to Birmingham International Airport (roughly 5 miles away) I asked Gary whether he felt it may have been an aircraft with its landing lights on. He does not believe this was the case because he has previously lived close to Manchester and Liverpool airports so is familiar with how planes look at a distance after dark. Aerial map showing the sighting location (A) and Birmingham International Airport (B) In addition to Gary’s familiarity with aircraft, there are other reasons for why it was unlikely to be a plane. If it was a plane, the sharp angle of the object in the sky means that it would have had to have been performing a turn. However it appeared stationary for the entire duration of the sighting. If it was turning in the sky, some movement would surely have been noticeable within the ten seconds it was observed for?   Also even though the bright landing lights of a plane can obscure other navigation lights at a distance, if it was plane it would have had to have been quite close to have taken up half the width of the passenger window in the sky. If it was close, other red and green lights or white strobe lights would have been visible to the witnesses.   Drawing indicating normal navigation lights of a passenger jet If it was not an aeroplane, what else could it have been? It was the wrong shape for a stationary helicopter, and once again other navigation lights would have been noticeable.   Even though it appeared to be within the atmosphere, we must consider objects out in orbit. Gary cannot recall whether it was a clear night or not. However it was too large and the wrong shape for a satellite moving towards them and catching the sun’s rays temporarily. Meteorites are only visible for a few seconds at most so cannot be the explanation. Nor could it have been the International Space Station as this was not in orbit until 1998.   A large lit inflatable would have remained visible in the sky. The sighting obviously occurred decades before drones were commercially available so this possibility can also be discounted.   With alternative explanations addressed, there remains the possibility that the object was a genuine advanced craft of possible non-human origin. I have investigated many cases of glowing cigar-shaped objects before. We will likely never know whether the other sightings reported by the BBC were of the same/similar objects, but this cannot be ruled out.   Copyright Dave Hodrien 2025

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Year: 2014 Last Updated: 18/05/2025   Sighting Details   Unfortunately not much is known about this incident as after receiving the below initial annotated drawing I received no further correspondence from the witness: As you can see, there is only limited information available. From the mock up they provided, it appears that the witness observed the objects in an area of forest while sitting outside during a work break. He initially observed a singular glowing orb of light moving in his direction. As it approached it suddenly split into 8 smaller orbs, which then continued to approach.   As the smaller orbs got closer the light coming from them dimmed and they then took on the appearance of rotating silver spheres. These spheres had visible lines on them separating them into sections, which reminded the witness of basketballs.   The witness did not provide any details regarding how long he observed these spheres for or how the sighting ended.   Sighting Analysis   To look at it from face value, this sighting could easily sound quite anomalous in nature, especially due to the splitting of the initial object and the appearance of the smaller objects when at closer range. However there is much which is not known, including the time of day and the manoeuvres of the objects throughout the sighting. It could be assumed that they moved in a controlled and intelligent manner but this has not been specifically stated.   If the sighting took place during daylight hours, one mundane explanation could be a group of drifting silver coloured balloons. Perhaps initially they were grouped closely together and reflecting sunlight brightly (which they would do if silver in colour). This could have created the impression of a singular bright orb of light.   Then after a short period of time the balloons could have naturally drifted apart, but still have continued to reflect light, giving the impression that the larger orb had split into smaller independent orbs.   As they got closer the glare from the reflected sunlight would have naturally died down (or perhaps the sun was hidden behind a cloud), which to the witness may have looked like the objects willingly turned lights off.   While the objects appeared to be spherical rather than the usual shape of balloons, silver-coloured novelty balloons cannot be fully ruled out. Maybe they were even from a basketball related celebration and were actually shaped like basketballs intentionally. The rotation of the smaller spheres could have been caused by drift in an air current.   All of the above said, there is the possibility that the sighting took place after dark, and the objects really were illuminated via lights which were then switched off. They may also have performed movements which showed them to be under intelligent control, which could immediately rule out the balloon explanation. Unless further information regarding this sighting comes to light we will probably have no way of knowing for certain whether the objects were mundane or not.   Copyright Dave Hodrien 2025

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 17/02/2013 Last Updated: 01/05/2025 Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used Sighting Details It was around 11pm on 26th April 2009. Steve, who was 33 at the time, was on his way back home and walking along Baptist End Road. It was a dry, clear and relatively still evening. He glanced to his left across an area of allotment plots to the East , which afforded him a brief unobstructed view of the night sky. Aerial map of Baptist End Road showing the sighting location: It was now that he noticed a yellow light in the distance with smaller red pulsing lights close to it. It appeared to be at low altitude, between 50-100 metres in the air. Steve estimates it was about 500-600 metres from his location. At this point the main yellow light was bright enough to draw attention, but could easily have been dismissed as a helicopter. All the lights were moving very slowly to the North. They paid no notice of Steve, but looking in the direction of the lights one of them asked the other “Is that it again?” His curiosity heightened, Steve looked back at the lights. At this moment the yellow light flared up extremely brightly and appeared to triple in size, although this could have been due to the brightness. It was like a glowing yellow street lamp in the sky. The two teenagers said to Steve that they had seen it over the local reservoir and that it had split into two lights which headed off in separate directions. They sounded sincere and did not appear to be joking. As he ran, he tried to keep track of the lights in the sky, although they were largely obscured from view by buildings. About five minutes later he met up with his father who was out walking the dog. The lights were now a bit closer, perhaps 100 metres closer than they had initially been. It could now be seen a little clearer, and looked like a bright yellow light, with a red orb-like light behind it and a small red flashing light. The lights appeared to be connected to a single object which could not be seen due to the night sky. Going on the estimated distance, this object appeared to be about twice the size of a helicopter. It was completely silent. They both watched the object as it approached and flew past their location about 100 metres away from them. Steve’s dad did not seem to believe the object was anything unusual, and kept repeating “It’s just a helicopter, it’s just a helicopter.” Suddenly the object made an abrupt 45 degree turn and started flying away from Baptist End Road. Steve ran up the hill to get a better vantage point, but the lights were lost from sight. Out of interest, Steve noted later on that the object had moved off in the direction of a nearby radio mast. Before coming to BUFOG, Steve initially posted details of the incident on the UK UFO Sightings website (This website has since been discontinued) Sighting Analysis This is a very interesting sighting, and there are numerous aspects which point towards it being something unusual. Many sightings of glowing lights after dark turn out to be nothing more than Chinese lanterns. Although only lights were seen during the incident, they flew together and appeared to be attached to a single object. They did not drift but maintained the same pattern throughout. The sudden flare up of the main yellow light is also not consistent with lanterns. While the flame in lanterns can sometimes increase in brightness, it would then tend to die back down again, not remain consistently bright for the remainder of the sighting. The sudden sharp turn that the lights were seen to perform suggests it was an object under direct control rather than drifting on air currents. Steve is familiar with how lanterns look at a distance and says that they look nothing like what he saw that night. Could the object have been a helicopter or other aircraft, civilian or military? Lights on aircraft can sometimes seem to flare up extremely brightly as they change angle or distance. However this explanation seems unlikely due to the fact that it was completely silent, even at relatively close proximity to the witnesses. Steve says that he has since seen helicopters at the same distance that the object was believed to be at, and they can be easily heard. The sudden sharp turn that the object performed was not consistent with an aeroplane; it did not bank as it turned. It should be noted that the lighting configuration seen does not fit in with normal aircraft or helicopter navigation lights. We must also take into consideration what the two teenagers said. They described seeing the object split into two and head off in different directions. This does not sound in any way normal behaviour for Chinese lanterns, an aircraft, or any other mundane aerial object. Can what they said be trusted? Steve believes they were just as surprised and intrigued by the lights that he was. He did not feel that they were joking in any way when they quoted this. Unfortunately Steve is no longer in contact with his father, and does not know who the teenagers on the bikes were, so we only have his testimonial evidence to go on. However I have no the incident took place as he describes, and appears to have involved an unusual flying object under intelligent control. The object was seen for a lengthy period of time, so there may well have been other witnesses. If you have any information on this sighting or believe you saw it too, please get in touch. In the early years of her life she lived in a house on Simon Green Road, Huddersfield. When she was 2 she began to experience unusual mist which would appear in up by her bedroom ceiling on numerous occasions. Arial map of Simon Green Road The mist would look like a thick grey cloud, and would swirl and make shapes. It would sometimes take the form of animals, such as elephants or giraffes, up by the ceiling.  These shapes would move in the correct manner as if they were alive. She does not know how many times this occurred, but she thinks it was very regular indeed. She was not frightened by the presence of the mist, so never called out for her parents when she saw it. She would often drop off to sleep with the mist present in the room. Her mother was worried by this so decided to move her in with her older brother, who was 3 at the time. The following morning after changing rooms, both her and her brother woke up early. It was light enough in the room to see the surroundings. Suddenly the mist appeared at the base of Sue’s bed. It began to rise up, forming the shape of a figure. Soon her father entered the room and grabbed both of them and took them downstairs. Witness drawing of the mist figure from her viewpoint After the incident Sue began to fear seeing the mist again. But this was to be the last time she would ever see it. Soon afterwards the family moved to a new house. Years later Sue asked her father about what took place. He remembered how frightened her brother was, but did not recall seeing anything in the room at the time. Looking back on the incident her brother described it as a big grey hairy thing, but Sue remembers it as a grey misty figure. As Sue and her brother were both quite young at the time it would be easy to dismiss these incidents as simply childhood imagination. Perhaps the mist was simply dust particles getting caught in the light, and Sue’s imagination formed the animal shapes in her mind. However it is interesting that both her and her brother saw it, this tends to suggest that there was at least something present on that particular occasion. But if so why did their father not see anything when he came into the room? Perhaps it hid itself from him on purpose, or maybe it was present but he was so focused on getting the kids out of the room that he did not see it. Sue remembers it forming very specific shapes, which tends to suggest that the mist possessed intelligence. Could this have been an ET presence visiting her from an early age? Or was it a ghostly spirit of some kind? Flight Downstairs Sue remembers an incident which occurred where she feels she was floated down the stairs by an invisible force. She recalls standing at the top of the staircase. Suddenly a force of some kind picked her up into the air and gently floated her down the stairs. It felt like being inside a bubble, extremely silent and still. When she reached the base of the stairs the force let her go. She ran to the kitchen to tell her mother what had happened. Her mother brushed it off as her imagination. Many years later Sue spoke with her mother about this incident. Her mother confirmed that it took place and remembered her coming into the kitchen telling her what had happened. Dreams & Feelings After moving house to a property on Longfield Avenue things seemed to settle down for a number of years. However when she was around 11 Sue began to feel like she did not belong with her own family. She felt that her real family was somewhere else, like she was adopted. Aerial map of Longfield Avenue These feelings grew stronger by the day. In some ways she felt this about everyone, about the human race in general. She still feels the same to this day. It is like she is searching for something, but she does not know what. At night she began to experience very vivid dreams of flying. In these dreams she would be soaring over cities and countryside extremely fast. These led to her having out-of-body experiences where she felt she could leave her physical body behind and travel to other places. This happened on at least a few occasions. She never really discussed these experiences with her family as she was so used to them occurring that she felt everyone must get them. Paranormal Activity In her late teens Sue moved out of her parent’s house and got married. She moved into a house with her husband on the adjoining road, Sycamore Avenue. Aerial map of Sycamore Avenue A lot of the time her husband would work away, so Sue would be left in the house with just the baby for company. About a fortnight after moving in she began to experience paranormal activity. The first thing which began to occur was the sound of footsteps walking up the wooden staircase. They would come up the stairs, along the landing and stop outside the bedroom door. This would be followed by the sound of breathing and sometimes a woman coughing. Sue was extremely frightened by the noises and would never open the door to see what was there. On one occasion a bright shimmering light with no obvious source appeared on the wall. The house was an under-dwelling and there were no windows near to where the light was which could have accounted for it. Sue went outside to look around but could not find an explanation. It dispersed after about 15 minutes As time went on this activity became heightened. Sue would hear unexplained banging noises, doors would slam of their own accord without warning, and the baby’s glass bottle even exploded for no apparent reason. Sue began to get sick of what was taking place. In the end she asked her oldest brother Luke and sister-in-law Emily to come and stay with her for several weeks. For the first two weeks there was no strange goings on at all and everything seemed fine. But on an evening in the third week Luke went to have a bath while she and Emily went downstairs to make a hot drink. Suddenly they heard Luke calling out from upstairs. They went to the base of the stairs and shouted up to him to see what he wanted. Immediately he came running down the stairs into the front room in a towel. He looked panicked and was still dripping wet. Sue and Emily asked him what had happened. He informed them that he had heard footsteps walk along the landing followed by a coughing sound outside the bathroom door. He opened the door expecting it to be Sue or Emily and at this moment had realized there was nobody there. These strange incidents continued at the property until they left. Due to the fact that multiple independent people were experiencing unusual activity at the house, Sue was convinced that the property was haunted. Silver Sphere Sightings In 1978 when Sue was 19 years old she had her first son. Several months after he was born, Sue saw a silver coloured sphere hovering in the sky over her house. As she watched, the object began to move very fast and shot vertically into the sky. Soon afterwards she informed her mother about what she had seen. Her mother said that she too had seen a silver sphere soon after Sue was born! She was out walking and pushing Sue in a pram back to Simon Green Road. It was a bright summer’s day with a clear sky. She stopped for a quick rest as the area is quite hilly. She happened to glance up into the sky and noticed a glinting object catching the sunlight. Shading her eyes she could see it was a silver-coloured spherical object hovering motionless in the sky. After a few minutes the object suddenly ascended rapidly and disappeared from sight in the same manner that Sue reported seeing. Black Wolf When her son was about 5 months old, Sue’s husband was working away from home, so Sue decided to go round and spend the night at her mother’s house. During the night she awoke to see a huge black-furred wolf with red eyes. She was frozen with fear for a short while. When she got enough courage she ran and grabbed her son then ran downstairs to tell her mother. Unsurprisingly she refused to go back into the room, so decided to return home that night. About a month later her younger brother was staying at her mother’s house when he too saw the wolf. He described it exactly the same as how Sue had seen it – large with black fur, blazing red eyes and snarling. Oval UFO Sighting By 1984 Sue had re-married and had four other sons, one of whom sadly passed away in a tragic accident.  One snowy evening her sister rang her up and suggested taking the kids sledging down by a local beauty spot. Sue agreed and they met up at the location. While playing with the children, Sue looked up into the sky and saw a massive oval shaped UFO hovering above them with lights strobing all around it. She thought everyone else had seen it too but after it had gone she asked them and neither her sister or any of the children had observed it. Further Activity It is not just Sue who has experienced unusual paranormal activity around her home. Soon after her eldest son moved into a house in Marsten with his wife and baby, a very un-nerving incident took place.  He rang up Sue during the night to inform her that lots of weird stuff was going on in the property – banging noises, red lights appearing on the walls and sounds similar to beating wings in the bedroom. He sounded extremely frightened so Sue headed straight round. When she arrived she found her son, his wife and child all waiting outside. They refused to go back into the house. Sue brought them back to her place, but they were so affected by what had taken place that they decided to move house not long after. However the unusual activity appeared to follow them to the new property. Once again one evening they rang Sue asking to be picked up. They informed her that they had been watching TV when suddenly an extremely bright white-coloured light came down the stairs, setting off electrical devices and toys as it passed. They also informed her that on another occasion they had heard a child calling out seemingly coming from a cupboard. Just like before they decided to move house to try and get away from whatever was taking place. Her son and his wife still hear unexplained noises in their current house, but have grown to live with it. Pear-Shaped UFO Photograph On 16th August 2009 Sue’s 3rd son held a birthday party for his daughter. It was a warm sunny day and the family were out in the back garden. Heather decided to take some photographs of everyone. She did not notice anything unusual at the time. But later on when she loaded them onto the computer she noticed that on one of the photographs there was a strange pear-shaped object in the sky. It appeared to be either white in colour or metallic and reflective.   Original photograph with the object ringed Zoomed view of the UFO Zoomed view with edge find Sue decided to contact the local newspaper and send them the photograph. They sadly made fun of it, but still decided to report on the incident. It was also mentioned in a UFO-related article in the Daily Mail. The article can be viewed online at the following address: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1207040/UFOs-600-visits-UK-single-year-according-MoD-X-Files.html The object certainly looks unusual and is not easily identifiable. It is clearly not an aircraft or helicopter. It does not look the right shape to be a hot air balloon, and if it was surely Sue would have noticed it in the sky when taking the picture. While the object initially looks like it is in the distance in the sky, it could well be a much smaller object closer to the camera. It is the wrong shape for a bird, but it is possibly a piece of debris of some kind falling past the camera lens or getting blown up into the air. This would not have been noticed at the time just as Sue reports. Sky Watch Photographs After the birthday party UFO incident Sue’s interest in the subject was sparked, so she began regularly sky watching outside her house in Longwood. This resulted in some further UFO photographs. Oval and "dove" shaped light anomalies: Glowing white UFOs: Orange orbs: While certainly interesting, taken on their own merit the above photographs could be easily be explained using mundane terms. The oval-shaped and dove-shaped UFOs are likely to be down to light reflection in the lens. The bright white bar-like object is simply a white light which has been stretched out (changing in brightness) due to extended exposure time. The white curling thread-like object is a white point of light which has been stretched out into a line by camera shake. And the orange orbs could easily be several glowing sky lanterns (The rings seen inside the singular orange orb are a camera artefact caused by the brightness not actual markings) If Sue comes back with other details regarding these sightings, such as the way in which the objects were moving, then perhaps some of these mundane explanations can be disregarded. Reptilian Being One evening after work Sue decided to go outside with her camera to do some sky watching with a friend. She was taking some photos of the sky when suddenly in the flash she saw a short lizard-like being. It was about 3 foot high and reminded her of an Iguana standing upright on two legs. Understandably Sue was extremely shocked and immediately ran back into the house leaving her friend outside. Her friend followed her back into the house and asked what was going on. He informed her that all the solar lights had lit up. These lights were full of rainwater and had not worked properly for a couple of years. Her friend suggested they go back outside and take some more photographs. Initially Sue refused but after a while plucked up the courage to head back out. Her friend stood in the place where she had been standing and took a couple of photos then asked Sue to take a couple of shots of him.  When they uploaded the photographs to the computer they were shocked to see a strange looking figure on the bushes. It looked almost like a hologram and reminded Sue of the famous Edvard Munch famous painting “The Scream”. "The Scream" Unfortunately Sue has not yet provided me with this photograph, but from her description it is possible that the figure seen in the photograph may have been down to pareidolia, which is the brain's natural tendency to make recognisable patterns from patches of light and dark, very often figures or faces. Abduction Experience Sue believes that on an evening in 2010 she was abducted. At the time there were two friends of the family staying at the house but her husband was away on business. After doing some chores she decided to go and have a bath. After running the water, Sue turned off the bath tap then went and sat on her bed to take her boots off. At this point she suddenly felt the urge to lie down on the bed still clothed, something she would never do. She then found she could not move. Next several small beings came floating through the window of the room. They approached the side of the bed. The beings appeared to be wearing skin tight black suits that covered most of their bodies. They had slender long arms and legs. Their faces appeared to be made out of liquid metal with no facial features visible. One finger on each hand was longer than the others. One of the beings reached over her and placed a thin membrane similar to cling film over her face. Sue is unsure whether she blacked out, but at this moment she immediately found herself out in space standing inside a craft of some kind. It was oval in shape and about 20 feet in length. The curved walls were nearly transparent, but had translucent colours reflecting on their surface similar to being inside a large bubble. Through the walls she could see the stars and had a view of the Earth. The sight was absolutely stunning and it took her breath away. Strangely she seemed to be able to see all around her even though she was only looking in one direction, which she found confusing. Behind her stood more of the beings. Strangely Sue felt no fear of the situation, she almost felt like she was one of the. They began to speak to her using telepathy and she heard a voice inside her mind, asking her to look down at the Earth. When she did she watched a huge explosion with a mushroom cloud rise up from the planet. She has no idea of what caused the explosion, but believes it was a meteorite strike. Her heart sank at the sight. One of the beings put its hand on her shoulder and said that she would be ok. The next thing she became aware of was being back on her bed. Initially she could not recall the craft or beings. She felt confused, dizzy and tired. She stood up and found that her body felt extremely weak. She rested against the upstairs banister for a long while. Then the memories of where she had been began to come back to her. Later on Sue found out that a man down the end of her street had seen a glowing ball of light hovering over her house on the night of the abduction. Also there were two crop formations which appeared around that time in the area of Huddersfield, though we have no way of knowing if they were anything to do with Sue’s abduction. Sue is not the only person to have been abducted from Huddersfield in 2010. I investigated another case from the town last year, the report of which can be read here. While most aspects of the two abductions do not match, it is possible that both women have been taken by two different groups of ETs as part of some wider program. Lit UFO Sighting On 2nd August 2013 Sue’s 13 year old grandson Adam Farrar and his friend Brandon Woods both witnessed a huge object hovering over Sue’s house. It had a large central glowing white light and two smaller white lights visible on the underside. The boys ran round the house to get a better look at the object, by which time it had moved over nearby moorland. It then suddenly shot away and was lost from sight. After the sighting Sue got the boys to independently draw what they had seen. Below are their drawings: The similarities between the pictures are clear. Adam noted that the object looked circular, like a disc, although it is possible this was caused by the bright glow coming off the central light. As you can see, Brandon has not drawn this outer edge, only the three lights. Also Brandon has drawn lines linking the smaller lights to the main one, whereas Adam did not. It is unclear whether he observed these lines or whether he has drawn them just to indicate the three were linked and moved together in unison. If they had only observed these lights it could be easy to dismiss this sighting as an aircraft against the dark sky. However surely other red or green navigation lights would also have been visible? And a plane would not have shot away in the manner that the boys reported. Conclusion It is clear that Sue and her family have experienced many unusual events over the years, some of which appear to be ET related. Sue’s abduction contains some odd elements not usually experienced by contactees, but also some aspects which are commonly reported. While we cannot entirely rule out the idea that it was a vivid dream brought on by sleep paralysis, there is still enough detail to suggest it actually took place. One of the aspects which I find particularly impressive is that her neighbor reported seeing a glowing UFO over the house on the same night.  It is unknown whether any of the UFO sightings Sue and her family have had, or the paranormal activity they have experienced is in any way linked with contact. However contactees regularly report unusual activity in their proximity so there does seem to be some connection, although the reasons for this are not yet known. Due to the amount of incidents which have taken place so far, I feel it is very likely that Sue’s experiences will continue. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 14/08/2012 Last Updated: 23/04/2025 Throughout his life, David has been lucky enough to have numerous fascinating UFO sightings, these have included a multiple witness sighting of a large disc-shaped craft by him and a number of child-hood friends, and a sighting of some UFOs at the infamous Rendlesham Forest in 1987. Due to the detail involved, these sightings have been written up in separate reports (See later for links). However this report covers a more recent sighting which was witnessed by David alongside Tim, a long term friend of his. For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used for some witnesses Sighting Details It was around 9.35pm on the evening of 4th July 2012. David had been across Tim’s house for the evening. David had ridden across there on his bike but because he felt tired Tim decided to drive him home with the bike in the back of the car. They were on Cottingham Road. There was low dark cloud covering the sky but it was not raining or windy. Due to the time of year there was still some light in the sky. The men were talking when out of the blue Tim said “I always thought this would be a good area to see UFOs!” David asked him if he had seen anything lately to which he replied “No, not seen anything for a good few years now.” A moment later he shouted out “What is that?!” David couldn’t initially see what he was looking at so leaned over and peered past him through the driver side window. Off to the right of the car towards the North West he saw a bright white light with a dark elongated shape behind it. Due to the light it was hard to see the shape of the object. It was underneath the low cloud so clearly only a few hundred feet in the air, and appeared to be moving slowly in their direction. David estimates it was moving around 20-30 mph and about 300-400m from their location. At first he assumed it must be a helicopter, but the light on it looked too big and too bright. David believes it was between 80-120 feet in length and 12-15 feet in depth, though this was hard to judge. Usually they would have turned here but David said that if they did that they would lose sight of the object. So instead Tim drove straight over the crossroads onto Corby Road and parked in a lay-by a few hundred feet further on so they could continue to watch it. They both got out of the car. It was completely silent. They could now see that it was wedge-shaped. David felt that it was possibly triangular but could not be absolutely certain of this due to the viewing angle. At the front was a bright white light (or cluster of lights). Along the edges were what appeared to be very small coloured lights moving in an anti-clockwise direction at quite a fast speed. We will see in a minute because if I’m right you will see that distant hill behind the object.” As expected, as it passed in front of the hill the witnesses could see the land behind it, giving them a better estimate of the large size of the object. The UFO then descended over about a minute until its front point was just obscured by some trees and the lights slowly faded out of sight. From where the men were it appeared to have touched down on the ground. They could just about make out its dark shape at ground level. The back end was still visible sticking out from behind the trees, but it was getting harder and harder to see due to the failing light. The witnesses decided it was time to go, and left the area making their way back to Kettering. They did not attempt to get nearer to the object as it appeared to have landed in an area of fields without easy access. Soon afterwards they discussed the sighting together. They both agreed that it was not a mundane object, and also found it extremely odd that it had appeared while they had been discussing UFOs. David discussed the sighting with his work mate and father, both of whom believed him. Sighting Analysis This is a very interesting sighting of what could have been a Flying Triangle craft. The colour, estimated shape, apparent size, lack of sound and slow movement of the object would all fit with this possibility. The object was clearly not a conventional aircraft of any kind. Although planes and helicopters can sometimes have a bright white light at the front, the small rotating coloured lights do not fit in with any known navigation lights. The object was moving too slowly to have been an aeroplane, nor would an aeroplane have come in the way that it was seen to do. The shape was incorrect for a helicopter, and due to the low altitude and proximity David says it would have been easily possible to hear the rotor blades, yet it was completely silent. The possibility that the object was some kind of large electronically lit inflatable cannot be entirely ruled out, but seems quite unlikely.  Firstly the object seemed too large for this explanation given the estimated distances. Also the object seemed quite controlled in its movements, it did not change angle or rotate in the sky in the way a drifting inflatable would tend to do. Flying Triangles have been reported to display a variety of lighting configurations, some more commonly seen than others. I have investigated other cases where Flying Triangles with small coloured lights along their edges have been seen, and others where there has been a bright white light at the front but no lights on the other corners. The witnesses could well have seen one of these craft actually landing on the ground, something which they have rarely been seen to do. There have been other reported incidents where landed FTs have been seen, such as during the well-known incident which occurred in Fyfe, Scotland. David has had a number of other sightings - a disc-shaped UFO over Kettering on 7th October 1978 and a number of UFO sightings down in Rendlesham Forest, Suffolk, in August 1988. Birmingham UFO Group Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 05/10/2012 Last Updated: 23/04/2025   Introduction   Lee first got in touch with BUFOG on 20th February 2012 to report a sighting of a glowing white orb which he and his wife had witnessed at their home in Rednal, Longbridge. After getting back to him it soon became clear that he had also had many other interesting experiences over the years, some of which suggested that he may even be a contactee. I arranged to visit him and his wife in person to talk face-to-face about his experiences. Several days later I drove out to Rednal and we spent a number of hours covering everything which had taken place. This report provides an overview of many of Lee’s experiences which appear to be UFO or contact related.   Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used   Childhood Fears   From about the age of 4 throughout his childhood Lee was frightened of going off to sleep in his bedroom at night. He would only be able to drop off if all the covers were pulled up around him, leaving just a small hole for breathing through. He has no recollection of anything specific taking place around this time which could have been responsible for these feelings.   It is of course quite common for young children to get a fear of the dark in their room. However I feel this is worth mentioning as this is one of the common side effects f contact that contactees report time and time again. When speaking in terms of contact, it is likely that these emotions are brought on by the fact that the individual knows this is when the ETs have come for them. Perhaps Lee had an early experience which has currently been blanked from his mind.   Back in the 1960’s parents would often be far less concerned about their children being outside on their own. Lee’s parents used to allow him to walk to and from his school in Cotteridge, even when it was dark due to the time of year. This journey would always take him through Cotteridge Park. He had no worries at all about walking this route on a daily basis.   Aerial map of Cotteridge Park From age 6 Lee began to experience a recurring nightmare. In this dream he would be walking through the park when suddenly a pack of wolves would appear behind him and begin to give chase. He would try to run away but his legs would not work properly and he would not move fast enough. When the wolves caught up with him the dream would end.   Later on the dream changed, and instead of a pack of wolves he would see a large jester/joker face which would float towards him. This was reminiscent of Punch off a Punch and Judy show, wearing a hat with bells on.   Witness drawing of the jester face This particular dream is quite intriguing. The ETs will sometimes disguise themselves using something referred to as a screen memory to mask their true appearance. They are often known to appear in a different form, especially to children. They usually appear as something familiar to the individual such as a family member, friend, pet, other animal or something else which the individual would recognise. I have heard of contact cases where these beings have appeared in the form of wolves/dogs, and other cases where they have appeared as clowns, possibly in an attempt to appear less frightening. However this sometimes has the opposite effect and the individual can get a lasting phobia as a result.   Due to the open location involved I do wonder if Lee has had a contact experience here in the park, perhaps while walking too or from school on his own, an experience which led to these recurring nightmares. This would just be speculation and this may not have occurred, but I felt it was worth mentioning due to the possible links described above.   Night Time Visitation   When Lee was 5 years he lived with his parents and grandmother. Unfortunately around this time his father suffered from a heart attack. He survived this but afterwards was consigned to the living room of his home and used to sleep downstairs. Lee would often play cards with his father in the evening just before bed. One evening he could hear that his father was not breathing very well. His father ended the game and told him to go up to bed.   During the night Lee awoke with the feeling of being poked in his back a couple of times. Behind him was just the bedroom wall. He then heard a voice say to him “Come on Lee, wake up. You know who it is”.   The voice did not appear to come from any particular location in the room, he just heard it directly inside his head. He questioned the voice, asking himself “Do I know who it is? Who would be saying that?”   The next thing he was aware of, he was standing at the top of the staircase looking downwards. He could see some other men wheeling his father out in a wheelchair. His father was wearing a face mask, and Lee could see his mother waving them off. He was also aware of two figures standing either side of him holding his hands. One was holding his hand quite softly, where as the other had quite a firm grip. They appeared to be only slightly taller than himself, so would have been around 4 feet in height.  He also remembers these figures speaking to him saying something similar to “You need to see this. This is the last time you are ever going to see him.”   Suddenly the view switched and he remembers moving towards his closed bedroom door and passing straight through it. He is not aware whether the figures were still there alongside him when this happened. He not only remembers the sight of this taking place, but also how it actually felt. This was all he could remember when he awoke the following morning.   He went downstairs and found his mother crying and being comforted by his grandmother. He was immediately told that his father had died during the night. At hearing this dreadful news, Lee felt emotionally numb and went back upstairs. He felt like the experience during the night had “buffered” the impact of what had happened.   Later on he spoke with his mother about what had taken place, and what she described matched what he had seen. He is absolutely convinced that he had been woken up on purpose to see his father for the last time.   There are a number of aspects of this experience which certainly fit in with a visitation by ETs. Numerous contactees have reported being woke up by the beings prodding them, or described such feelings during abduction experiences. There are missing time elements to this experience, such as how Lee got from his bed to the top of the stairs. This is very common with contact, and the contactee will more often than not remember fragmented memories of what has taken place.   The beings that Lee describes either side of him are very intriguing. Although he did not turn to look at them, he was aware that they were short in height, certainly much shorter than an adult human would be. This would fit in with the figures being Greys; the most commonly reported type of ET. In addition to this Lee says that when they spoke to him he would hear the words inside his head, it did not sound like the beings were actually audibly speaking. This again would fit in with Greys, which always talk via telepathic means.   Lastly Lee then recalls actually passing through his bedroom door. This is again another common aspect of abduction experiences that take place at home. The individual is often taken through solid objects by the ETs, such as the window, wall or ceiling. I have had numerous contactees describe how this actually feels. It appears that the beings use advanced technology of some kind which allows this to take place.   Because of all the above stated reasons, I feel it is certainly possible that Lee was visited by two  ETs during that night, and for whatever reason they wanted him to see his father depart for the last time, maybe to lessen the impact of his father’s death, or provide him with a lasting memory. As he did not actually look at the beings, or did but had the memory of this removed, we cannot say for certain that this is what took place, but there are many aspects which seem to back up this theory.   If this was a visitation, as it appears to be, then the fact that the beings first said to Lee “You know who this is” suggests that he had previously had other experiences with these same entities. This perhaps lends weight to the unusual dreams that he had experienced for the previous two years. However the dreams appeared to be quite frightening, where as there was no fear involved with this experience. Lee felt quite comfortable with the situation he found himself in.   Something In The Sky   The next unusual incident which Lee can recall happening took place in 1971/72 when he was a teenager. His memory of what took place is quite blurred but he remembers leaving the house to go and meet up with a friend. It was a bright sunny day. He was walking towards Cotteridge when he suddenly noticed a big group of people all staring up into the air and pointing. The traffic also appeared to be stopped. He walked on over to see what they were looking at, but when he looked up into the sky he couldn’t see anything.   He then remembers looking back down and seeing a tough looking boy walk across the road towards him. He then felt himself get hit and he blacked out. When he came round he was lying on the ground surrounded by a number of adults. He remembers them helping him to his feet and asking if he was ok.   His next memory was of being about a mile away in Kings Norton walking along the edge of the road. He felt extremely confused and could not fathom how he had got to the location he was now at. It has played on his mind ever since.   There are a number of unanswered questions surrounding this incident. What were the people all staring at in the sky? Why had the other boy suddenly decided to walk over to Lee and then knock him out? And how had he got from that position to walking through Kings Norton? It is possible that the other boy was just nasty, or maybe thought that Lee was someone else. It is probable that the missing period of time was down to concussion from being knocked out, and that Lee had walked a mile in a daze. However what everyone was looking at remains completely unanswered.   Interests and Dreams   In his late teens, Lee suddenly developed an obsession with the UFO subject. He began purchasing many books and reading as much as he could about everything. He does not really know where this sudden interest in the subject came from, as he had not really paid much attention to it prior to this point.   Around the same time period, he also began to have regular dreams about UFOs. He cannot really remember whether the dreams came first or whether they came after he had began looking into everything. In some of these dreams he would be visited by small ET beings. These beings would be semi-translucent and inside them Lee saw some kind of electrical energy. In other dreams the skies would be filled with craft and he was struggling to survive alongside others against a hostile invasion force.   Witness drawing of one of the short beings Throughout his life, right up to present day, Lee has also had a number of precognitive dreams. In these dreams he sees random things, and it is only when they happen for real soon afterwards that he realises they have been future predictions. While some of them have been quite random, others have been very specific and clearly of real life incidents. They have included deaths of prominent figures. He has also had dreams of accidents from time to time. As an example, in his early 20s Lee used to work at Cadburys, and every day would walk to and from work along Lyndon Road. One night he had a dream in which a car crashed on the road and flipped over upside down ending up in a garden. Three days later that exact thing took place, and he realised he had previously dreamt of it.   The dreams that Lee had about UFOs and beings did not seem to relate to any known real life incidents. Therefore it is possible that they were simply a side effect of his obsessive research into the subject. However the precognitive dreams that Lee continues to have are much more interesting. Many contactees report having precognitive abilities, and I have investigated other cases where people have reported exactly the same thing. Just as with Lee’s dreams, these tend to usually be completely random events. The fact that Lee has mentioned having such dreams is certainly significant and worthy of mention.   He also regularly experiences night terrors, where he wakes up in the middle of the night absolutely terrified.  Sometimes he will see black shapes moving around in front of him, and when he opens his eyes they are still there for a brief moment. Other times he will shout out and punch out at something unknown in front of him until his wife manages to wake him up. While it is of course possible for these to just be bad dreams and hallucinations brought on by waking suddenly from dreams, again they may have links with contact so should not be ignored.   Tired of UFOs   In recent years Lee has looked into the UFO subject and realised the links that some of his experiences have had with it. However he says that whenever he starts looking up information on the subject, or even talking about it, he begins to feel extremely fatigued. He has noted that this only happens with this subject, if he is checking out anything else in depth he does not experience these feelings. You could suggest that this was just down to boredom; however this would not be correct at all, because Lee is very interested in the subject.   Contactees often report experiencing unusual emotions of one kind or another when looking at information relating to UFOs or ETs. Sometimes they get obsessed with the subject, as mentioned previously in this report. Other times they get an extreme aversion to it, especially pictures of the beings themselves. This is completely understandable as it will sometimes bring back the feelings of fear or panic that they have gone through during their experiences. Perhaps the feelings of tired-ness that Lee experiences is something trying to stop him from looking into the subject, or maybe an over familiarity with it. These are just speculations, nothing more.   Orbs Around The Home   On a number of occasions Lee has seen small white coloured orbs moving around his house on Ryde Park Road, Rednal. They are usually seen in the corner of his eye. They just seem to appear and quickly drift along a short distance above the floor. He has seen them during the day-time, and also at night while lying in bed.   We cannot verify at this time whether or not these are merely down to an issue with his sight, or something more unusual. However many experiencers report seeing glowing orbs around their home, so there does seem to be some link with contact. What these orbs that are reported actually are is jet to be determined, although I feel they may be some kind of energy manifestation. The fact that Lee occasionally sees these may be further evidence that he is a contactee.   Golden Disc   In 2000 Lee went on holiday with his family to Newquay in Cornwall. They were staying at Trevella Holiday Park in a tent. One evening he was sat outside the tent star gazing. It was a very clear and still evening, and the stars were fully visible.   Aerial map showing location of Trevella Holiday Park Suddenly right overhead he saw what appeared to be a huge disc-shaped object. It had not been visible due to the angle it was at, but it turned on its axis catching the moonlight. It appeared as a golden-brass like colour. Lee feels that it was at very high altitude and was extremely large in size. The object continued to rotate until it had turned 180 degrees, at which point it no longer caught the light and so vanished into the darkness. Lee compares the object to a penny turning over from one side to the other. He was astounded at what he had just witnessed. He told his wife about it and continued to watch the sky, but the object did not make a reappearance.   Photograph of Trevella Holiday Park Lee feels that this was a very large disc-shaped craft of some kind, perhaps even a “mother ship”. While this is indeed possible, and cannot be ruled out, there are other more mundane explanations that must also be considered. There is the possibility that the object was a large inflatable drifting across the sky, and that the object was a lot closer than it appeared to be. When viewing objects in the night sky it is often very hard to accurately judge their altitude as there is no point of reference. The object was clearly not a normal aircraft or helicopter, and it is very unlikely to have been a meteorite.   Whatever the actual identity of the object, it captured Lee’s imagination and ignited his interest in the UFO subject.   Glowing Lights   Soon after his sighting in Newquay, Lee decided to purchase a laser light to shine up into the sky to try and attract attention. He began standing out in the back garden sky watching, while using the laser to trace out various patterns or flash it on and off. Sometimes it would be just him outside, on other occasions he was also joined by his wife Madeline.   One evening in 2008/2009 he and Madeline had been standing outside for about an hour. He asked Madeline to go back inside and fetch the binoculars as he realised he hadn’t brought them out. Soon after she had gone inside, Lee suddenly noticed a triangle of three white lights appear to the North East. They appeared to be several hundred feet high. These lights proceeded to swoop downward in a descending arc towards his location at a fast speed. As they did so, the three lights began swapping switching on and off fast, while still retaining their triangular formation. There was no regular discernible pattern to how they were switching on and off. This gave the impression that they were dancing. The lights went past and began heading off to the South West. As they did, Madeline came back outside with the binoculars. Lee diverted her attention to the lights. She glanced up and saw them, but then quickly looked away, frightened at what she was seeing.   Witness drawing showing the triangle of lights and their movement pattern The lights continued moving away until they were lost from sight. In total they had only been visible for several seconds. During this time they had moved from one side of the sky to the other, so they were clearly moving at a very fast speed, much faster than an aircraft would move at. Lee exclaimed “Did you see that?” His wife replied that she had seen “something”.  Obviously she had not got as good a look at the lights as Lee had.   Then Lee noticed something else out of the corner of his eye, coming from the direction the triangle of lights had moved off in. He and his wife watched as a long string of white lights with a split formation at the front flew silently across the sky. Initially they were moving on a level course, but then suddenly began to ascend until they were lost from sight. Once again they were only visible for a few seconds, and like the triangle pattern of lights were moving extremely fast.   Witness drawing showing the string of lights visible above the nearby houses Witness drawing illustrating the movement path of the string of lights The most obvious answer for groups of lights seen in the night sky would be either Chinese lanterns or LED balloons. However both of these explanations seem very unlikely given the facts of what took place. The lights in both formations were white, so were unlikely to have been lanterns, as these usually glow amber orange/yellow. The lights were all constantly bright and did not flicker at all. Lee knows exactly what Chinese lanterns look like in the night sky, and says that these were definitely something else. They were moving with intent and appeared to be under control.   LED balloons are often white, so this would match the appearance of the lights. However both the triangular formation and the string of lights were moving much too fast to have been lit balloons drifting on air currents. They were both only visible for several seconds, during which they travelled right across the sky. After speaking with Lee in great detail about what was observed, I am convinced that this was something out of the ordinary. However there did not appear to be any direct interaction, so it is unlikely this sighting was related to contact.   Yellow Beam   Soon after the sighting of the white lights, Lee had another sighting of something very different. It was after dark and he went to close the net curtain on his son’s bedroom window. As he did so he glanced outside. Suddenly what appeared to be a very straight edged bright yellow laser-like beam shot towards his location from the North, and vanished over the top of the house. It appeared to have a definite start and end to it rather than be a continuous line across the sky, and be travelling on a course rather than just switching on and back off again. It was only visible for a moment but was extremely clear and well defined.   Witness drawing showing the yellow beam appearing over the trees in the back garden The most obvious mundane explanation for this sighting is that the beam was a laser fired from a nearby location. However there are a number of things that do not fit this explanation. Lasers tend to be green or red in colour usually. While yellow lasers do exist they tend to not be very powerful or go for long distances. This doesn’t fit Lee’s description as he said it was very bright and defined. If the beam was a laser from a nearby location then it would be expected to have been seen going up into the sky at an angle from a point on the ground. However the beam appeared to be horizontal and was higher than the roof of the house. There are no nightclubs in the area which the beam could have been shone from, and night clubs are not allowed to use laser displays due to the risk of blinding people. Also the way in which the beam appeared to be moving and have a start and end point to it again does not fit with a laser, as these appear right across the skyline instantly. If it wasn’t a laser then what else could it have been? It appeared too straight edged to have been a search light, and there are no telephone wires over the house which could have been caught in a passing vehicle’s headlights.   Strangely this is not the only case I have heard of where a bright yellow beam was seen. In 1987 a man in Rowley Regis saw something very similar to what Lee described, although in this case the beam did remain constantly lit for a period of time. Could the two incidents be related in some way? Click here to go directly to the report on this case.   Silver and Red UFO   In the summer of 2010 Lee and Madeline were out in the back garden. It was a clear and sunny but breezy day. Lee happened to glance up into the sky visible in the gap between his and the neighbouring house. In the distance he noticed what appeared to be two silver metallic oval-shapes on top of one another with a red glowing area at the centre between them. It looked fuzzy and was surrounded by a reddish glow. He initially assumed it must be a novelty balloon. However it was completely stationary in the sky. If it had been a balloon it would have drifted in the breeze that was blowing. Lee got his binoculars out to take a closer look at the object but couldn’t quite bring it into focus. It appeared to be quite distant and also quite large in size.   Witness drawing of the UFO The object remained completely motionless for around 20 minutes. Lee and his wife continued to watch it for the duration. Then suddenly without warning it appeared to fade and vanish. There were no clouds nearby which it could have been hidden behind, it was just gone. When I went to visit Lee at his house I also had the chance to speak with Madeline about this incident, and she confirmed everything which had been witnessed.   There is no reasonable mundane explanation that I can think of for this object. It certainly appeared solid and was shimmering in the sunlight, so it is unlikely it was a mirage or reflection of light. It does not sound anything like how a distant helicopter would appear. Also we should take into account that the house is under a flight path, so Lee and Madeline are both used to seeing all sorts of aircraft and helicopters both at day and night. It is very unlikely that it was some kind of illuminated inflatable, as this would certainly have drifted during the 20 minutes that it was observed for. I would have suggested an unusual radio controlled model if it wasn’t for the fact that the object suddenly vanished. Lee is certain that it didn’t just fly off into the distance until out of sight, he did not see the object change size or angle at all.   Could this be a genuine sighting of an ET craft in broad daylight? If so then perhaps the reason that he could not focus properly on the object was because it was inside an energy field of some kind. There have been many UFO sightings where such a field has been observed, and it can often make the craft look distorted or blurred. As the sighting took place in the day time perhaps there were other witnesses who have yet to come forward.   White Sphere   Lee’s most recent UFO sighting occurred on 18 February 2012. It was 10.49pm and completely dark outside. It was a clear and still night. Lee was sitting on his bed. He glanced up out of the bedroom window. As he did, a glowing white ball of light came into view at the left edge of the window. It was to the West of his location but quite close, probably within half a mile. It moved swiftly across the view from the window heading towards the North, and was soon lost from sight. It only took a couple of seconds to do this, so was moving at quite a fast speed. This speed of movement caused it to look slightly oval in shape, but there was no trail behind it. Lee jumped up off the bed and ran to the window but it had gone. Madeline was also in the room at the time and had witnessed the object in her peripheral vision.   The velocity was much too fast to have been an LED balloon or Chinese lantern drifting on an air current, or even an aircraft or helicopter. If it had been an aircraft of some kind then Lee is sure he would have seen other navigation lights on it, but there were none. The object was too slow to have been a meteorite. Lee estimates the object was at least as big as a car, possibly larger.   Conclusion   As you can see Lee has had many fascinating and unusual experiences, some of which were also witnessed by his wife. However when looking at the case from a contact perspective, it is quite hard to say whether Lee is a contactee or not. Other than the visitation the night his father died, he has not had any other experiences which have directly involved beings. He has no recollected memories of being abducted, and the only missing time experience he has had could well have been as a result of being dazed after being knocked unconscious. So while there is not much evidence that he is an abductee, the night time visitation experience is very interesting and has some impressive aspects to it. He has also reported many different things which are commonly spoken of by contactees – multiple UFO sightings, glowing orbs, unusual recurring nightmares and particular fears and obsessions. Some of these incidents may in some way be linked to his visitation experience. Maybe in due course Lee will have further experiences which will confirm this.   Copyright Dave Hodrien 2025

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 25/03/2025   In January 2025 I was contacted by Donah McConnaghie via Facebook Messenger. She wanted to purchase a copy of my UFO-themed card game UFO Wave. After arranging the sale, she then asked if I’d be interested in hearing about two historical UFO incidents. This report covers the earlier of these two events, which was actually witnessed by her mother Ann rather than herself.   Donah reached out to Ann (now 80 years old) to obtain an up-to-date detailed overview of what she recollects taking place, and created some drawings and maps based on this testimony. She then passed this information on to me. The incident happened back in June of either 1971 or 1972. Donah was only 2-3 years old at the time.   Sighting Details Back in the early 1970s both of Donah’s parents Ann and Robert worked for the RAF and lived in a house on Tedder Road in the vicinity of RAF Halton near Wendover, Buckinghamshire. At the time RAF Holton was a training base with no aircraft stationed there.   Aerial map of Tedder Road indicating the house the family used to live in On the day of the incident Ann had gone to a meeting on the base, while Robert remained at home with the children. At about 8.30pm Ann was walking back home, taking a shortcut through some local woodland and onto a path between two of the houses on Tedder Road which exited on the estate.   Photograph of the house, with the woodland visible beyond Aerial map showing the house on Tedder Road (A) and the woodland (B) As Ann exited the alley, she noticed numerous people stood outside their houses looking up into the sky, including one of her neighbours named Eileen. She looked up and immediately became aware of four cigar shaped objects in the sky, following along one after the other in a line. They were moving very very slowly. Ann and the other witnesses present were mesmerised by them.   The objects were elongated, with the forward-facing end slightly curved, and the rear end straight. They were silver chrome in colour and reflecting the evening sunlight, almost giving the appearance of lights on them. They appeared to be completely silent, and left no trail behind them as they moved. Drawing by Donah based on her mother’s description of the UFOs One of the witnesses, a teenage boy, ran inside his house, emerged with a camera and started taking photographs of the objects.   Suddenly the object at the front of the line stopped, turned 90 degrees, and then shot off extremely fast. It was gone in just a brief moment due to the speed. One by one the other three then made the same movements!   Everyone was astounded by what they had witnessed and discussed the objects a while before returning to their homes.   Soon afterwards there was apparently an article with a photograph taken by another witness elsewhere which confirmed that the UFOs had been seen over numerous towns. Ann thinks this newspaper was probably the Aylesbury Times, sold on a Wednesday/Thursday. Sadly she did not keep the article.   Robert retired in 2004/05. One evening when Ann came home from work Robert informed her that there had been a UFO programme on TV which discussed the incident and showed the newspaper headlines from the time. Unfortunately he did not remember the name of this programme.   Sighting Analysis   Due to the manoeuvres performed by the objects there is a high likelihood they were anomalous. From the description, they were clearly not normal aircraft of any kind, and with Ann’s background in the RAF she was familiar with how aircraft look at various distances. The incident happened decades before drones were commercially available.   If the objects had continued to move slowly there could have been the possibility they were novelty balloons or blimps of some kind drifting on an air current or following along after one another. However the sudden right angle turns and extreme increases in speed puts this explanation out of the question, and also indicates that the objects were under intelligent control.   Given the facts, I find it very likely that this was a sighting of a formation of advanced craft, possibly of non-human intelligence. Could these objects have been performing some kind of reconnaissance on the nearby RAF base? This possibility cannot be ruled out.   It sounds like quite a well-known and compelling incident, considering that it was observed by multiple groups of witnesses at different locations, the objects were photographed numerous times, articles appeared in at least one newspaper and it was apparently referenced many years later in a UFO documentary. Sadly searching online for any information about it has so far not yielded any results. It is possible that the article still exists on microfiche at Aylesbury Library, the next time I am in that part of the country I may make a visit to try and track it down. It is likely that there are people out there who are familiar with this case, if you have any information about what took place please get in touch.   As mentioned, Donah has also had a sighting herself. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 24/02/2025   In January 2025 I was contacted by a lady named Donah McConnachie. She was interested in purchasing a copy of the card game I have developed, UFO Wave. After arranging the sale, Donah informed me that she wanted to share details of two fascinating UFO sightings, one witnessed by her mother, and the other by herself.   This report covers the later sighting which was witnessed directly. A link to the previous sighting which her mother experienced can be found near the end of this report.   Sighting Details   Unfortunately Donah cannot remember the exact month the incident took place, but knows it happened some point between November 1981 and March 1982 when she was 12 years old. At the time because her father was in the RAF she was at a boarding school in East Brent, Highbridge, Somerset. It was named Rossholm School. Although the building still exists it is no longer used as a school, and is now known as The Victorian House Boutique Bed & Breakfast:   Aerial map of The Victorian House Boutique B&B Back in the 1980s, to the South West West of the school there was an outdoor hockey pitch separated from the building by a 100 metre wide gravel-covered courtyard. Beyond this was a hedge and line of trees followed by a gradual upward slope known as Brent Knoll. These still exist today.   Modern photograph of The Victorian House Boutique B&B At the time the students at the boarding school were not allowed to walk across the main hallway, they would need to exit the building, walk around it and then back in on the other side. At around 6pm on the evening of the incident Donah and one of her class mates needed to do exactly this. Due to the time of year it was dark outside.   As they walked around to the West side of the building a light to the South West West caught Donah’s eye. She looked towards the knoll. In the distance beyond the line of trees (which were bare of leaves at the time) she could see a very bright white orb of light.   Witness drawing showing the old layout of the school, her position and the orb of light Aerial map showing angle of view of the orb She thought to herself “People aren’t going to be climbing up the knoll in the dark. That can’t be someone with a torch, it looks too large and bright for that.”  She pointed the light out to her friend, and they both stood there and stared at it. After a short while her class mate lost interest saying she was cold, and so headed inside the building. Donah remained outside puzzled by the light.   Aerial map indicating the position of the witnesses and the line of trees the orb was seen beyond Suddenly without warning the white orb began to ascend vertically into the air. It silently moved straight upwards at quite a fast pace. It got quite high up then suddenly changed course and began moving on a straight course across the sky.   Donah then realised there were six other white orbs present in the sky at high altitude in an uneven V-shaped formation. The orb joined the end of this formation, now making it symmetrical. As it reached the correct position, it came to a halt. Then a moment later they all shot away extremely rapidly and were quickly lost from sight!   Witness drawing showing the path of the initial object and the formation of other objects She was amazed at what she had just witnessed. She headed back into the school. However when she told her class mates what she had witnessed they just brushed it off as a distant formation of military jets. This annoyed her a bit, as she knew the objects had not been normal aircraft due to the manoeuvres they had performed. She was also aware that the other girls fully believed that the school was haunted, but would not entertain the notion that she had witnessed a formation of UFOs.   Sighting Analysis   This is a stunning sighting of a formation of anomalous glowing objects. As Donah stated they could not have been jets due to the fact that the initial object was at very low altitude, possible landed, on the side of the ridge, ascended vertically, and then joined up with the remainder of the objects, which hovered motionlessly in the sky.   While a helicopter would have been able to perform the manoeuvres of the initial object, there are a number of reasons why this was not possible. Due to the fact that the initial object was down low at the start of the sighting the possibility that it was an extremely distant object can be ruled out, as it was clearly in front of the slope of the knoll. Altitude map of Brent Knoll showing the approximate starting position of the initial orb At this distance, if the object was a helicopter it is likely that the witnesses would likely have been able to hear the rotor blades, and would also have seen normal navigation lights. Lastly, the speed at which the formation of objects left the vicinity puts this explanation out of the question. Drones did not exist back in the 1980s so this cannot explain what was witnessed either.   The intelligent manoeuvres and speed of the objects also rules out the idea that they were lit inflatables of some kind. It seems probable to me that what Donah witnessed was a formation of either lit or glowing advanced craft, possibly non-human in origin. Sadly she did not keep in touch with the second witness, although she only saw the initial object before it began moving.   All these years on Donah still thinks about this incident on a regular basis. It has left a lasting impression and she has gained an interest in the subject as a result. Birmingham UFO Group Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 22/03/2012 Last Updated: 04/03/2025 Introduction Alien implants are quite rare in the ET contact subject. This could be because a lot of the time the individual may not even realise they have an implant inside them. These implants are usually only found if they are prominent and close to the surface of the skin, or by accident if the individual decides to go for an X-Ray. In late 2011 I was contacted by a lady from Warwickshire, who I shall refer to as Haley. She claimed to have had a number of unusual experiences possibly related to contact. She also claimed to have a small unidentified object under her skin, which she felt could be related to these experiences. On 18th October 2011 I drove out to her house to interview her and examine the object. This may well be the first contact case I have looked into where the individual involved knowingly has an implant within them. This case is on-going and at present the object has not been X-Rayed, we have plans to go ahead with this later in the year. This report covers numerous incidents experienced by both Haley, her parents and friends. As the case investigation is not yet compete, it will be updated with new information as it becomes available. Note: Names in this report have been changed for privacy reasons. Psychic Abilities Haley feels that since an early age she has had a high level of intuition, and has occasionally had premonitions of events which have then taken place. When she was 8 years old she used to go to a horse riding school. There was a particular pony at this school which she liked. One day her mother got a call from the school saying that the riding lesson had been cancelled because the school had been broken into and vandalised. One of the ponies had also sadly been killed. Haley was immediately convinced that it was the pony which she was particularly fond of. Her father said this was impossible to know, so he decided to ring up the school to find out. Sure enough, it was this pony which had been killed. Haley was not sure how she had known this; she had just felt something inside tell her that this was the case. When she was older she was out with her boyfriend at a local fish and chips shop. Haley was on the back seat of the car. She looked out of the rear window and saw another car parked up nearby. When she saw this she immediately had the sense that this other car would reverse into their car. She told her boyfriend that this was going to take place, but he wouldn’t believe her. Several minutes later this exact scenario took place. Once again Haley had somehow sensed inside that this would occur. On Thursday 3rd February 2022 Haley suddenly began feeling like she had to catch up with her sister's ex-husband Luke, who she hadn't spoken with in a couple of years. On the Friday night she had an unusual dream in which she, her ex-husband, her sister, Luke and other friends and family were gathered at a very picturesque location which looked similar to a church or place of prayer. Strangely Luke looked really young and healthy, where as everyone else looked completely normal. In the morning she was out shopping with her husband at the local supermarket when suddenly she felt overwhelmed with emotions, full of hopelessness and sadness, so much so that it made her want to cry. Haley described this feeling as feeling like "someone had punched me in head, heart ,everything." As a result they abandoned the shopping trip and headed back home. After relaxing at home for an hour with several cups of tea she calmed down. It was now that the phone rang. She picked it up and it was her daughter Emma, who just like her, sounded extremely upset. Emma informed her that her uncle had died in a car accident the previous afternoon. When they attended the funeral there was a brief moment where she realised that everyone present was who she had seen in the dream, and they were standing in exactly the same positions they had been standing in next to a remembrance garden. According to Haley, these are just a few examples out of many incidents of this type which have taken place. At first glance these experiences appear to have nothing to do with ET contact. However it is extremely common for experiencers to possess abilities such as premonitions or high intuition. In over half the cases I have looked into this aspect plays a part. This is far too common to be just coincidence. I feel it is likely that the ETs are particularly interested in certain individuals who possess psychic-type abilities. Another possibility is that the abilities are a side effect of experiencing contact. A Hair Raising Experience The firs specific unexplained incident which Haley can remember occurred in 1996 when she was 16 years old. It may not have anything to do with ET contact but I feel it is worth mentioning all the same. It was the summer holidays. Haley and her two friends Samantha and Claire were hanging around on Snow Hill Recreation Ground, commonly referred to as “The Rec”, at Hartshill. They would often go to this location to relax and smoke cigarettes. Aeial map of Snow Hill Recreation Ground It was a bright and sunny afternoon, between 2-4pm. The girls had driven to The Rec on Haley’s moped. They were leaning against this, chatting and smoking. All of a sudden Samanthas long hair began to stand right up in the air like she was electrically charged. The other girls began to joke about it. Haley remembered something her mother had told her – that your hair could stand up prior to a storm due to the electrical charge in the air. However it was a bright sunny day and definitely not stormy weather. The whole situation felt very strange and eerie. Photograph of Snow Hill Recreation Ground After a while Samantha’s hair dropped back down into its normal position. The incident remained a running joke for the rest of the week. However Haley has always been puzzled by what took place that day. This is an odd experience, though it may well have a mundane explanation. It is entirely possible that Samantha had become electrically charged with static, possibly from the moped when she was either on it or leaned against it. This could have caused her hair to stand up in the way that was observed. It is unlikely that the incident had a paranormal explanation, although this can of course not be entirely ruled out. Pulled Out Of Bed While discussing Haley’s experiences, her mother Beth was also present. She informed me about something unusual which had happened independently to both her and her husband within a fortnight of each other. Beth believes the incident happened around 1996. She awoke one night with a strong feeling that she was being pulled down her bed by an unseen force. To her knowledge she didn’t actually leave the bed, but after struggling against the feeling for a short while appeared to black out. In the morning she just put the experience down to a vivid dream. She did not tell anyone about what had happened. A couple of weeks later, her husband Peter reported something extremely similar. He awoke one morning and exclaimed “I reckon that cat came up last night and was attacking my feet. And I was dreaming that I got pulled out of the bed and rats were nibbling my feet”. He too had felt like he was forcefully dragged out of the bed. This completely mystified Beth and she explained to her husband what she had experienced. It is a known fact that one of the side effects of sleep paralysis can be a feeling of being dragged a certain direction. However neither Beth or Peter have experienced sleep paralysis before or since. Also, although she cannot be certain, Beth did not feel like she was paralysed when she underwent her experience. If the two experiences do have a mundane explanation, then it does seem like an extremely unusual coincidence that both witnesses would experience very similar feelings within a couple of weeks of one another. Contactees have often reported being dragged out of their bed during the night, usually preceding an abduction experience. Sometimes they have just sensed a pulling sensation, other times they have actually seen themselves lift up into the air and float across the room or up towards the ceiling. Are these two similar incidents evidence suggesting that both of Haley’s parents are contactees? While her parents have not experienced much else besides this, it is still worth considering, as often contact can run through multiple generations of a family. Beth also informed me that she has always been frightened of the dark, and must sleep with the bedroom door ajar with some light entering the room. While this could be un-related, it is worth pointing out that contactees often end up with a fear of the dark or of going to sleep at night, as they are aware that this is when contact experiences or visitations have taken place. Examination & The Reptilian It was a typical night in November or December 2006. Haley went to sleep as normal. During the night she had a very unusual experience. She was lying on her front in bed, with her head to the side facing her partner. She opened her eyes and found that she was paralyzed. Her partner was lying there with his eyes open looking right at her. Then she felt like something was being pulled out from the small of her back, like some kind of energy. She wanted to look round but could not. Her hand was out to the side of her face so she started reaching towards her partner but he did not react. He looked like he was awake but was acting like he was in a deep sleep. She tried calling out for him but no sound came out. This seemed to go on for ages, but looking back at it Haley says it was probably around a minute. After this she blacked out. When she awoke in the morning she remembered these details, but nothing more. She put the incident down to an unusual dream. Two nights after the unusual dream, Haley felt a bit sleepy so decided to go up to bed. She lay down on the pillow and closed her eyes. Soon after doing this, an extremely clear vision suddenly came to her mind. She saw the face of a strange lizard-like creature. It had green-grey coloured scaley skin, and large pale orange eyes with vertical red slits. Its mouth was partially open exposing lines of small pointed teeth. The creatures tongue extended. It’s tongue was a similar colour to it’s skin though darker in shade. There were also blotches of orange on it at various places. The creature then licked from one side of its face to the other. Witness drawing of the face that she saw Haley was absolutely horrified by the vision. She immediately jumped up out of bed in fear and ran out of the room. She was very upset at what she had seen and did not understand why it had occurred. It took her a good while to calm down. The being that Haley saw in her vision was a Reptilian, one of the reported ET species involved with contact. Reptilians are not reported as often as some other species, but there are still many cases where they have been seen. Many people feel that they have a negative agenda here on Earth. There is often an element of fear involved with them, which may be partially due to their appearance. Yet more often than not they are described in a more neutral light, and are sometimes seen working alongside other species. At the time of the vision, Haley did not know anything about the Reptilians. In 2009 she decided to look into the UFO subject on the internet just out of general interest. She started to listen to recordings of Coast to Coast paranormal radio. From this she heard David Icke mentioned, which in due course led to her hearing about the species. She had a look at some pictures of Reptilians and was shocked when she saw them. She realised that the face she had seen several years previously was of one of these beings. The strange “dream” that Haley has certain aspects that fit in with sleep paralysis. However the way in which her partner appeared to have his eyes open but would not wake up is very odd and not something which would usually be experienced while in this state. Contactees are usually paralysed during their experiences, probably on purpose to prevent harm to the ETs or themselves. There have been many cases where the ETs have also seemingly “shut down” other people in the area to prevent them from interfering. It was clear that Haley was still in her own bed, however could this have been some kind of procedure which was carried out on her in the room itself? If so then perhaps her partner was temporarily shut down. Could more have happened with this experience than she can currently remember? If so this may explain the vision of the Reptilian that she had just two days later. Memories of experiences can often come back in this manner – sudden flashbacks of things which have been witnessed but then been blocked out. Beeping Sound Ever since Haley experienced the unusual dream and vision of the Reptilian face, she has occasionally heard a sudden loud beep noise when she is just about to drop off to sleep. It occurs roughly every 6 weeks, though not in a regular pattern. When she hears it, it wakes her back up. She sometimes checks with her husband to make sure he has not also heard it. It is definitely not coming from any electrical devices in the room. While noises such as this can be associated with sleep paralysis, it is very interesting that it has only happened since the dream and vision, never before. This tends to suggest that it is related. Many contactees have spoken of hearing such noises. Sometimes they appear directly linked with contact experiences, other times such as this they occur at random. Could this be evidence of ongoing scanning or observation by the ETs? The Implant In July or August of 2011, Haley bumped her inner left wrist while out digging in the garden. It was sore for a short while afterwards so she decided to massage it with oil. When she did so, she felt a solid lump deep under her skin just below her wrist. However when she looked there was nothing visible. She had previously read in a magazine that magnetic bracelets are good for relieving inflammation in wrists and hands. Her children had fortunately got one of these as part of a magnetic toy set, so she decided to make one and start wearing it. This seemed to do the trick and begin reducing the pain. When she next took off the bracelet to once again massage her wrist she then noticed a strange lump under the skin. She thought to herself “That’s funny, it’s come higher up!” She felt it with her fingers and found that whatever it was, it appeared to be disconnected from her vein or surrounding tissue. It seemed to be rounded triangular in shape. She could pinch it and pull it upward, and it would take a few seconds to drop back down. Haley was mystified by the object, and wondered whether it was one of the alien implants she had read about online. It was now that she remembered passing through the passport office security gate on the previous year. The gate had gone off several times inexplicably. Her daughter owner a metal detector, so Haley decided to place it on top of the unidentified object. Sure enough the metal detector went off. The object appeared to be metallic. When she moved the metal detector over her body, it also went off around one of her toes, although she could not see anything there. It is possible that there is a second object within one of her feet. Although Haley did not have the metal detector to hand when I went round to visit, she showed me a video of it activating when in close proximity to the object which I believe to be genuine. She didn’t want to tell him about what she thought the object may actually be, so she suggested it may be a piece of bone which had become separated. She informed the GP of her wrist sprain but did not inform him that this had taken place months before. The doctor assumed that the wrist sprain had only recently happened. He said that the object was temporary and caused by the trauma to her wrist. He said it would only last a couple of weeks. However Haley knew full well that this could not be the case, as it had already been a number of months since she first discovered it. Also it would of course have not set off a metal detector if this was the case. Haley also believes that the object inside her wrist may actual effect the signal strength of mobile phones. On a number of occasions she has been out with other people in areas of low signal strength. They have tried unsuccessfully to get a signal, but when Haley was handed the phone the signal has gone right up. On 22nd June 2022 Haley had to visit the hospital for an issue with her thyroid which was making it hard for her to swallow food. As part of the treatment an MRI scan was necessary. Before going for it the doctor asked her if she had anything metallic in her body. She panicked as she didn't want to tell them about the object in her wrist but at the same time was worried that it may break their equipment. She decided to tell them about it, but made up a story about it being shrapnel from a hunting accident. The doctor examined her wrist and could see that there was something physically there. One of the consultants waved a device over it and also confirmed something was present. As a result he decided to perform an X-Ray. However nothing metallic showed up on it, which apparently lead to the staff arguing with one another! In the end they decided that as there was nothing metallic it would be safe to conduct the MRI scan, which took place without any complications. This is interesting as it was clear that the object had been metallic in nature when it was initially discovered because of the fact it set off the metal detector. However it now appears not to be. If the object truly was an implant it is possible that it has since been removed, and what is left is scar tissue. Another possibility is that it has been replaced with a non-metallic implant at an unknown point. Electrical Activity On many occasions where Haley has gone to switch off the light she informed me that the light bulb has blown, causing the electric to turn off all over the house. This has only ever happened to her, never to her husband or children. This has happened roughly every couple of months. It is now treated like a regular occurrence by the family. In the numerous cars that she has owned she has regularly had issues with the car radio switching channels inexplicably or losing signal without warning. If this had happened just with one car you could put this down to a manufacturing fault, but the fact it has occurred with all the cars she has owned is interesting. While these incidents could all be put down to nothing more than coincidences, they should still be taken into account as experiencers have often reported unusual electrical activity in their vicinity. Missing Pregnancy In 2015 Haley met her current husband Joe. In November 2016 she was confirmed to be pregnant. On the afternoon of 6th January 2017 she felt very tired so decided to go for a nap. She then had a bizarre dream in which she felt small hands touching the area of her groin. When she woke back up she remembered it and thought to herself how strange it had been. Later on she was sitting at the dinner table with her family when she suddenly felt a rush of water. Immediately realising something was not right Joe rushed her to A&E. A specialist there checked her and confirmed that she was bleeding. They removed some blood clots but said there was no foetus. Unfortunately due to it being a weekend there were no sonographers available at the time to perform an ultrasound. However the following morning she was able to book an appointment. This confirmed the news that Joe and Haley were frightened they would hear - there was no longer any sign of a baby. On the diagnosis form they received the doctor had simply written "Possible miscarriage???" While it is entirely possible that this is what had taken place, Haley wonders if the dream was memories of being taken and having the foetus removed. There are a number of cases on record of pregnancies which have suddenly vanished without trace possibly linked with the "hybrid program", one of the observed on-going NHI agendas. Afterlife Conversations Just as she believes she has sixth sense abilities, Haley believes that these abilities have been passed on to her youngest son Robert. There have been numerous occasions where he appears to be either seeing or holding conversations with invisible people, including his deceased Uncle Luke. There have also been times where he has seemingly had premonitions. In May 2023 one of Haley's best friends, Samantha, was on holiday in Italy. One day Robert came and asked Haley "Is Samantha's back ok?" Haley had no idea what he meant by this so just replied "Yes". The following day Samantha was hit by a car, which fractured her back. In early March 2024 Samantha moved down South with her husband, and passed over the running of a business premises she owned to Haley. Both she and Joe believe this building is haunted, and have experienced paranormal activity there numerous times. Because of this they have set up a permanent camera at the location and also laid out a number of Cat Ball toys with LED lights to give any spirits present something they can activate if they decide to. The toys activate on motion, flashing various colours. Example Cat Ball toys with in-built LEDs At 10.24pm on 2nd November 2024 Robert felt that the ghost of his Uncle Luke was present at the building. Haley's mobile phone has a direct connection to the intercom in the shop which is left on out of opening hours. While Haley was busy Robert picked up her phone and started speaking with Luke over the intercom. Later on once Haley found out what took place she decided to check the camera footage to see if anything occurred. To her surprise one of the Cat Balls seemed to go off on it's own accord and start flashing, seemingly in response to Robert asking questions over the intercom. The building was completely locked down and Haley confirms there are no draughts of air. On top of this they have placed all the Cat Balls on objects with indentations or pinned them between other objects to prevent any chance of them rolling around. I have seen the video footage of this incident, but unfortunately cannot include it here due to anonymity reasons. Haley has a screwdriver that used to belong to Luke which she keep near the fridge in the kitchen. Numerous paranormal events have taken place around this location, including flickering lights and the fridge door opening by itself. On multiple occasions Robert has attributed this activity to his uncle, who he says is drawn to the screwdriver. At 7.30pm on 28th January 2025 an incident occurred which Haley managed to capture on video (Again I have seen directly but cannot show here). In the footage Robert is getting some food from the fridge and directly asks his uncle to flicker the ceiling light. After a few seconds it starts to flicker, seemingly on command. Haley also showed me a second video where she filmed the light at another point in time to show it does not regularly flicker. While some of these incidents could be put down to coincidence, they seem to occur too regularly for this to be the case. Conclusion Haley has had a variety of fascinating experiences. Both paranormal activity and psychic abilities are closely linked with contact, so the fact that she has discussed numerous examples of both over the years is not at all surprising. Although there are many cases which have involved suspected implants over the years, it is relatively rare to actually have a confirmed visible object. When I conducted the investigation back in 2011 I hoped that we would next be able to arrange for a private X-Ray to clearly see the shape of the object and confirm it as metallic. This could have later led on to possible surgery to have it extracted. Unfortunately Haley did not appear to be interested in this process at the time, and she still has no interest in attempting to extract whatever it is . According to the X-Ray performed in 2022 what is present is not metallic, so further X-Rays would very likely be pointless. Her feelings towards the object are in no way suspicious. It is not causing her any discomfort and she is not concerned it its presence. It would also be extremely expensive and complicated to arrange for private surgery. Copyright © Dave Hodrien 2025
