Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 23/03/2009 While most UFOs are sighted within the earth’s atmosphere, occasionally they can also be seen in space by astronomers. These sightings, along with reports from astronauts and footage off various shuttle missions suggest that there is alien activity going on in the nearby vicinity of the planet as well as on it. On 11th March 2009 it was a new moon, and a very clear and still night. Just after midnight, Jim Russell decided to take some video footage of the spectacle. He has recently taken up astronomy as a new hobby. Due to the light pollution he is not able to take footage of other planets, but is able to clearly study the moon. He began filming from his house in Granville Square, Birmingham, using a special CCD camera which fits into the eyepiece of his telescope and connects across to his PC using a USB cable. Location of sighting: 📷 After about two minutes of filming, Jim suddenly noticed a dark object cross in front of the image. It flew from the left to right of the picture and appeared to be quite fast. He continued to film for several minutes longer but did not see the object reappear. The video footage can be watched at the base of this report. Below is a still of the object and the path it took: 📷 Here is a zoomed view of the object: 📷 As you can see, the object is quite blurred and it is impossible to say exactly what it was. It was in the picture for four frames. Jim believes it was a large object and far away, rather than something small and close to the camera. There is the possibility it was just an aeroplane within the atmosphere. If it was out in space, perhaps it was a satellite or space junk. But there is also a chance it was none of these and that Jim actually managed to capture a craft of some kind. Four days after taking the footage, Jim uploaded it to UFO Casebook and Youtube, but so far nobody else has come forward to report also seeing the object. It is unlikely that we will ever know what the object was, and therefore it will remain exactly what we describe it as – an unidentified flying object. The video footage: Copyright Dave Hodrien 2009

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 22/04/2009 Sighting Details On the evening of 19th April 2009, five witnesses in Newport Pagnell, Milton Keynes, had a sighting of three UFOs. It was about 10pm and Alan Turner was watching television in his lounge. His wife, who was on the phone to her sister at the time, went outside for a cigarette. It was a clear night with the stars visible, and seemed quite still. Suddenly she noticed a glowing orange orb of light in the sky to the North East. It seemed at least as high as a low flying plane, but it was hard to judge how far from her it was. The light seen was bigger than a star but it was hard to tell how large the object actually was. It was travelling slowly across the sky in a South Westerly direction towards her. She called for Alan to come and see the object, and also told her sister about it who then came outside with her two children. Map showing location of sighting: 📷 After about 30-40 seconds as the object passed by, it faded away and vanished (not due to distance). Soon afterwards a second object appeared and performed exactly the same manouver, fading out roughly the same place as before. This was then repeated by a third object. Alan managed to take several photographs of the objects. Photograph of one of the UFOs: 📷 Zoomed view of object: 📷 The witnesses were both mystified and slightly frightened by what they were seeing, and thought at the time that the objects must be either spaceship, satellites or meteorites burning up in the atmosphere. Due to the time of night, Alan feels that other people may well have witnessed the objects. The following day he wrote to his local newspaper, but they have yet to print an article on the sighting. Conclusion Due to the description, colour and movement patterns seen, it is highly probable that what the witnesses saw was several chinese lanterns. These often tend to be launched in groups, and tend to drift in the same path across the sky following the direction of the wind. They stay afloat for a while before burning out and fading, which is exactly what the objects were seen to do. The objects were moving too slowly to be meteorites burning up in the atmosphere, and it would be unlikely for meteorites to be moving in exactly the same direction three times in succession. As nobody has come forward to say that lanterns were launched in the area at that time, we cannot say for certain that this was the cause, however it does seem to fit this explanation. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 01/05/2009 Sighting Details There were three witnesses to this particular sighting – Emma, her boyfriend Mark and his ten year old son Stuart (Names changed for privacy reasons). On the weekend of 25th-26th April there was The National Motorhome Show at Peterborough Showground. The witnesses had gone to this show and were staying in their camper van within the grounds. It was 11.30pm on the Saturday, and a clear still night with the stars visible in the sky. Emma and Stuart had just returned to the van, Mark was already inside. She happened to glance up at the sky. It was then that she noticed a round orange glowing orb of light. It appeared to be quite large in size and quite a distance from her, at least a mile away. It was travelling in a straight path diagonally away from her. It was a very quiet night and there appeared to be no sound coming from the object. She pointed it out to Stuart. They watched it for about ten seconds before she decided to knock on the camper van and get Mark to come and see the object too. He came outside and they continued to watch the orb for a further 20 seconds. It continued moving away from their position and got smaller and smaller until it disappeared into the distance. Nobody else was around in their nearby vicinity, so Emma does not know if anyone else saw the object. Aerial view of Peterborough showground: 📷 The witnesses were mystified by what they had seen. Once they got home they looked online for an answer. They found various Chinese lantern reports and watched a number of videos of them. However they are adamant that what they saw could not have been a lantern. Emma says that the object looked too large, and was moving too fast to be just drifting in the wind. The witnesses estimate it was moving as fast as an aeroplane which is how it managed to vanish into the distance so fast. It also looked like a solid glowing orb, not just a light, and its brightness remained constant throughout the sighting. Sighting Analysis Much like numerous other reported UFOs, details of this sighting are inconclusive. There are certainly aspects which fit in with it being a Chinese lantern – the colour, apparent shape and straight flight path - however from what the witnesses have said it may be something else entirely. The object did not perform any manoeuvres which would indicate it was under intelligent control. There is a possibility that the witnesses were mistaken in the apparent distance, size and speed of the object, and that this was a lantern or lit balloon of some kind. But there is also a chance that it was something far less mundane. Lanterns do tend to be launched in numbers rather than solitary. It was obviously moving far too slow to be a meteorite, and it is unlikely to have been an earth light. I have investigated a number of sightings describing orange orbs before (e.g. Moseley sighting 26/07/08), some of which have aspects which are hard to explain. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 11/05/2009 Introduction Witness Joanne Twigg has had several sightings of Unidentified Flying Objects which all took place in 2008. After finding the BUFOG website online, she decided to send us details of her latest sighting. I interviewed her over the phone about this incident, and it was then that she also mentioned another two previous sightings. This report will examine each of these sightings in detail, starting with the most recent. September 2008 Sighting It was 6.50pm on a very sunny, clear and still day in the middle of September 2008. Joanne was sitting on her lounge floor of her house on Stanley Close, watching TV. She happened to glance out of the lounge window into the sky. It was then that she noticed an unusual object slowly moving towards her from the North. At first she thought it was a bin bag drifting in the wind, but soon realised it was something entirely different. The object was a diamond shape with rounded corners. It was dark matt grey in colour, it looked metallic but was not shiny. The object appeared to be about the size of a large family car. It appeared to have weight to it rather than being completely flat. She estimates it was about 500 foot in the air, and it was slowly moving towards her position. Strangest of all, the object was rotating constantly over and over, rolling on a completely straight path. Drawing of UFO (Drawn by myself from witness description): 📷 Joanne was very excited at seeing the object and was sure it was something highly unusual. She ran upstairs to her bedroom to try and get a clearer look at it. She had a video camera but unfortunately it was out of battery charge. So instead she grabbed her binoculars and attempted to find the object through them, but was not able to locate it. After a couple of minutes the object reached her house and flew over the top of it out of sight. Joanne then ran out into the back garden to continue watching the object. Map of sighting location: 📷 She watched it for seceral more minutes. When she went outside she noticed that there was no sound coming from the object. It continued on its straight course until it went out of sight into the horizon. Joanne believes that others may have also seen it, as it was a very clear evening so it would have stood out against the sky. The appearance of the object, and movement pattern observed in this sighting are both very interesting. Obviously most explanations can be discounted due to its unusual shape. I asked Joanne if she believed it could have been some sort of kite or inflatable that was drifting and rotating due to the wind. She is adamant that this does not adequately describe what she saw. She says the object was not flat but had width to it. It looked solid, structured and metallic. She also says that the flight path was far too direct, the object looked like it was under control and being flown like an aircraft, rather than just drifting in the wind. We must also remember that it was a very clear and still evening (Although there could possibly have been a stronger wind at that altitude). Could the object have been a remote controlled model of some kind? This explanation seems very unlikely, especially as it continued on its straight path until it went out of sight, and had no visible means of propulsion. There have been numerous UFO reports in the past which have mentioned rotating craft – could this have been it’s method of propulsion? It is certainly an unusual sighting, and one which will remain intriguing. April 2008 Sighting Earlier in the same year, Joanne had a very different UFO sighting which again took place at her house. It was around 5pm and a sunny evening, mostly clear with only a small amount of cloud. As with the September sighting, it was also very still. She cannot remember the exact date. She was in her lounge using the computer when she glanced out of the window into the sky. She noticed what looked like a small gold/silver metallic orb. She estimates it was at least 2000 foot up, about the height a jumbo jet would fly at. It appeared to be within a mile of her position. At first it appeared stationary, but after about 30 seconds it began to move slowly in her direction. She ran into the kitchen to get a better view of the object but it had completely vanished. Drawing of UFO (Drawn by myself from witness description): 📷 A couple of days later, Joanne’s sister contacted her to say she had seen the same thing, and watched it stationary in the sky for about 5 minutes. She suggested it could have been a satellite with sunlight glinting off it. Due to the distance of the object it is very hard to find a valid explanation for the objects seen. It is very unlikely to have been a satellite as these move in orbit across the sky continuously. Also it is highly unusual to see them in daylight hours, they are usually seen after dark and appear like moving stars. Were the objects seen by Joanne and later by her sister the same thing? If they were different, then could Joanne have seen an aircraft catching the sunlight at a high altitude? It may have appeared to be stationary at a distance until it got close enough to see movement. However Joanne says she had a clear enough veiw of the object and it certainly wasn’t an aircraft. The object her sister saw appeared to remain stationary for up to 5 minutes, so it is unlikely this was an aircraft. For now these two sightings will remain inconclusive. Early 2008 Sighting At some point in early 2008, Joanne travelled down to London on a coach with friends to see a show. On the return journey she had a sighting of a number of UFOs. The coach was about 45 minutes away from London, travelling along the motorway through the countryside. It was late and was getting dark. Joanne peered out of the coach window at the passing fields. Suddenly she noticed what looked like a number of glowing orange orbs which were travelling along after each other in a rough line. They were quite low down, she estimates about 200 foot. She got the attention of her friends on the coach and a number of them watched the objects for a minute or so until they were out of sight due to the coach moving away from their position. It is highly probable that this sighting was of a number of Chinese lanterns that had been launched. These appear as orange orbs of light, and often tend to drift in lines as they all head in the direction of the wind. The objects performed no manouveres that would have suggested they were under intelligent control. Joanne accepts this is probably the explanation for the objects, however she is puzzled why they were seen so far out in the countryside away from any towns/buildings. As she has no idea of the precice location of the sighting, and because it occurred so long ago, we have no way of checking to see if others saw the lights, or if an explanation for them was found. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 05/07/2009 On 30th June 2009, BUFOG was contacted by a police officer from Atherstone, Warwickshire. He wished to report a sighting of a UFO that he had on 31st May. On that day, he had gone to Leicester to pick something up. It was around 9.15pm and he was on his return journey on the M69 motorway. It was a clear evening and due to the time of year there was still daylight. He suddenly became aware of a very bright white light shining to his right hand side. The light was about 2000-3000 feet in the air, and had two smaller objects near to it. He could not identify the objects, but at first thought the main light could have been the landing light of an aircraft, but he looked again and could not see any wings or anything else which would have identified it. As he briefly watched the object from his car, it suddenly vanished into thin air! A short time later the main light appeared again but the smaller objects were no longer visible. He exited the M69 and parked at a pub car park with the object still in sight. It was slowly moving across the sky in front of him. He tried taking a photograph of it on his mobile phone which sadly did not come out. The object flew over the roof of the pub out of sight. Map showing probable junction of M69 where witness stopped: 📷 The witness drove further down the road and waited for the object to reappear again, which it did, and now the smaller objects were also visible again. He tried taking another couple of photographs on his phone. All three objects once again suddenly vanished without trace, and this time did not reappear. Once he arrived home, the witness scanned the photographs into his computer but sadly none of them showed the objects. He is convinced that what he saw that evening was not an aircraft. The main light was very intense indeed, and he has seen aeroplanes with their landing lights on before and their wings and wheels are always visible. This is a very impressive sighting from a highly credible source. Being a police officer, the witness would certainly be used to seeing various types of aircraft while out on patrol. The fact that he saw the objects vanish in front of his eyes on more than one occasion seems to suggest that they were definitely not conventional aircraft, or other mundane objects such as balloons or Chinese lanterns. Unfortunately the witness did not leave contact information so at the current time there is no further information regarding this sighting. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 08/07/2009 It was a clear evening on the 6th July 2009. Marie who lives in Coleshill, Birmingham, was watching TV in her house on Doris Road. Her daughter came home from work and decided to let the dogs out into the back garden. It was her who first spotted the lights in the evening sky at approximately 10.20pm. She called Marie who went outside to see what the fuss was about. Looking to the south she was amazed by the sight of nine orange glowing orbs of light that appeared to be travelling in a line across the sky, heading in an easterly direction. She estimates they were at least a few feet across in size, though it was hard to judge. They appeared to be moving about the same speed an aeroplane at high altitude would. At first she thought they may be Chinese lanterns. Her and her daughter watched the lights for a couple of minutes as they crossed the sky. Marie decided to then go and get her son. While her daughter called out for the neighbours to come and also take a look, Marie ran inside and upstairs to wake him. On route she also rang her mother who lives in Kingsbury. By the time she reached the window she could see that the lights had started to form into a circular shape in the sky. It was at this point that the idea the lights were Chinese lanterns left her head, and she assumed they might be something else entirely. Map of sighting location: 📷 Marie ran back outside with her son, and continued to watch as the nine lights formed a wide circular pattern. Her neighbours, who live around the corner in Ennersdale Road, had also come out to see the display. As soon as this circle was complete, a tenth brighter light seemingly appeared from nowhere to the west. It stayed completely still for two minutes, and then suddenly began moving extremely fast towards the other nine objects. It got to about half way between where it had appeared and the circle of lights when it suddenly stopped moving again. At this moment all the nine lights in the circle began to fade away simultaneously. It was now that Marie remembered her camera, which she went to get. She managed to take a photograph of the individual remaining light. The picture is a little blurry as she zoomed in on the object as much as possible: 📷 Soon after taking the photograph, the remaining bright object then also vanished. Her neighbours are both aviators, and are usually sceptical about such things. But after seeing the unusual movement patterns of the objects, and the sudden appearance of the tenth object, they feel that they were not Chinese lanterns. This is a very interesting sighting. The physical appearance of the objects certainly fits in with them being lanterns. But there are a number of points about Marie’s sighting which seem to suggest otherwise. Marie mentioned that if it was random drifting which caused the objects to form a circular pattern this was a big coincidence, as it was quite a pronounced shape. The sudden appearance of the tenth object is a mystery - if it was a lantern, how was it not spotted while rising up into the sky? If the object was drifting, it seems very odd that it should remain stationary for quite a while before suddenly moving rapidly in the direction of the other objects and then just as suddenly hovering still again. And also if it was drifting, why did the circle of objects remain stationary while the tenth moved so fast towards them? Was it another coincidence that the nine objects all vanished simultaneously? Usually lanterns tend to go out one at a time as they burn out. All of these points suggest that what was being witnessed was something other than Chinese lanterns. Marie has also posted her sighting to the UK UFO Sightings website. This was also reported on the UK UFO Sightings website, although the witness did not contact BUFOG: http://www.uk-ufo.co.uk/2009/07/solihull-birmingham-4th-july-2009/ In the comments below this report, as well as noting that Marie asked about her sighting here, someone else claims that these July 4th objects were Chinese lanterns they had set off at a party. However so far nobody has come forward about the lights over Coleshill. From the evidence it is possible that they were just lanterns, and that the movement patterns seen were just very erratic wind conditions (Although at ground level at least it was a very calm evening). But there is still the possibility at this point that the objects were being controlled, and if so, then by who? If you have any information regarding this sighting please get in touch with BUFOG. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 27/08/2009 On the evening of Saturday 8th August 2009. Neil Mason and his girlfriend were chatting to their four neighbours over the garden fence of their house in Yardley. It was about 10pm and was warm and dry, with quite a clear sky. The stars and moon were both visible. Suddenly Neil’s girlfriend spotted something up in the sky. She pointed upwards at the object. Neil was in the back door of his house, so stepped outside to see what she was looking at. Everyone present saw an orange ball of flickering light head over the house in a South Westerly direction. The object was flying on a straight course and made no sound. Neil estimated it was about 30-35000 feet high and bigger than a commerical airliner. The witnesses watched the object for 5 minutes as it flew away into the distance until it faded away. They were all baffled by what the object was. Neil checked the Nasa website to see if it was the International Space Station but this was nowhere near at the time. Taking all the aspects of this sighting into consideration, it seems highly probable that the object was a solitary Chinese Lantern which had been launched by someone in the local area. The colour shape and flickering of the object, and the fact it travelled in a straight trajectory without performing any complex manouvres all suggest it was a lantern. As there is no point of reference in the night sky, objects can sometimes appear to be further away and therefore larger and faster than they in fact are. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 03/09/2009 Introduction I have been interested in UFOs for over 20 years now, and have been investigating sightings for a year and a half. I have heard of many fascinating encounters with UFOs and alien beings from the very people that have experienced them. However in all this time I have never seen anything I could truly say was unusual and unidentified. That was all to change for me on the evening of Saturday 29th August 2009, where I would at long last have a firsthand sighting of a UFO. And of all the places I would have this first sighting, it would be during a sky watch on Cradle Hill in Warminster, one of the UK’s biggest UFO hot spots! The Sky Watch The UFO sky watch was arranged as part of the Weird 09 Paranormal Conference, which took place on 29th-30th August 2009 in the Athenaeum Theatre, Warminster. It was organised to kick off several hours after the first day of lectures had ended, and the designated location was Cradle Hill just to the North of the town. This has been a popular location for UFO sky watches since the late 1970s when the famous Warminster UFO flap took place. At 8 o’clock in the evening at least forty people left the town and drove up Cradle Hill to the area where the white gates used to be. This area gives a great view of the sky in all directions, and is the traditional meet up location on the hill. The area is right next to MoD-owned land, and the organisers of the sky watch had informed them that we would be up there. The road heading uphill from where the white gates stood until recent years leads to the copse, a small wooded area where a lot of unusual activity and sightings have been recorded. Note the orbs over the road, more than likely caused by the quickly dropping light conditions: 📷 The copse: 📷 Barn in the copse: 📷 UFO graffiti on copse barn: 📷 View through the copse trees: 📷 Light Flashes Incident It was approximately 11pm and the cloud had mostly cleared from the sky giving a fantastic view of the stars above. Earlier I had been up at the copse but had now returned to the area of the white gates. There were at least twenty other people remaining, although some had decided to head back down to Warminster town by this point. Suddenly to the North North East in the distance we started to notice what looked like bright blue/white flashes of light which seemed to light up the sky and reflect off the bottom of what cloud there was. There was some low lying hills in the distance and the flashes seemed to be coming from beyond these. I would usually assume such activity to be a distant thunder storm. There was no sound whatsoever, but sheet lightning is known to be silent. However, the weather was very clear and dry, so this seems very unlikely. Aerial view of Cradle Hill showing position of witnesses and direction flashes were sighted in: 📷 The flashes continued irregularly for about 10-15 minutes, sometimes within a second of each other, other times longer. As we watched, the flashes seemed to get brighter and more prominent. It did not look like a flood light flickering on and off. If it was a distant firework display over the brow of the far hill, surely the flashes would have been different colours? Also it is unlikely anyone would have a fireworks display at 11pm at night, so therefore I believe this is not an adequate explanation. The flashes of light were probably caused by something mundane, but were still interesting and certainly caught everyone’s attention. On 2nd September I was informed that there had been a rave party at the nearby Quebec Farm. However this farm lies directly to the East of Warminster, the flashes of light were clearly seen to the North North East so this cannot of been the cause. Map showing location of Quebec Farm: 📷 UFO Sighting Details At approximately 11.30pm, most of the remaining people on Cradle Hill were situated at the white gates area. The weather was very clear with only a light breeze, and there was a full star-filled sky above our heads. The moon was visible to the South West. All of a sudden someone remarked that an RAF jet was approaching. I looked round and saw a white light to the South heading in a North North East direction. There was a dark shape behind the light but it was too hard to see clearly against the night sky. As the object got closer to our position, all of a sudden the white light flared up extremely brightly, and then immediately died back down. I could then make out a dark green-blue coloured light on the object. It was completely unlike the normal bright green navigation light seen on aircraft. Others actually described this light as being blue, but I clearly saw it as a mix of green and blue. Several seconds later the white light flared back up again completely obscuring the green-blue light. It continued in this fashion for the remainder of the sighting. I estimate it was about 1000 feet high but this was quite hard to judge. It certainly looked faster than a normal plane would appear at that height; it was more like the speed of a military jet. However for the duration of the sighting the object was completely silent. We had heard other passenger aircraft throughout the evening at a much greater distance than this object appeared to be. The object flew within a mile of our position at a constant speed. As it got to roughly East of us, it appeared to start to slow down. A number of people shouted out that it was doing this. However, I believe it was not slowing down but was merely changing its direction in a gradual curve. It did this until it looked as if it was stationary but was actually heading away from our position to the North East East. We continued to watch the object for several minutes. Even once the green-blue coloured light was no longer visible due to the distance we could still make out the bright white flaring light for roughly a minute longer. Map showing estimated path of the object: 📷 When I saw the object I assumed that I was mistaking a jet of some kind for something more unusual, although I found it very odd that I could not hear any sound coming from it. However when I asked everyone else present (including a number of other experienced researchers) what they made of it, everyone was as mystified as I was. Video Footage My friend Ian from Fareham UFO Research Group attempted to record the object. Sadly the only thing that can be made out is the lights from the nearby MoD facility. However you can hear me briefly discussing it with him as it is approaching our position. Watch the footage on Youtube at the following address: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ul3BHhfwRKI UFO Sighting Analysis It seems very unlikely that the object was a normal aircraft or helicopter, either military or non-military. The colour of the green-blue light was different to any normal navigation lights seen on aircraft. Also the white flaring light was something I had never seen before. The fact that we could hear aircraft at a much greater distance both before and after the sighting proves that the object was either silent or emitting a sound too quiet to hear. Below is a list of the various lights usually installed on aircraft (found online), and how the object we saw differed: Steady navigation light at the end of each wingtip, one red, one green - There was certainly no red seen at any point and the green light was not typical bright green but a darker green-blue colour. Steady white navigation lights at various positions on wings – Initially the object appeared to have one white steady light on it, but as the object approached this light appeared to begin flaring up in intensity which navigation lights would certainly not do. Two anti-collision beacon lights coloured red and orange which rotate to produce a flashing effect - No red or orange lights seen at any point. Bright white strobe lights that flash on each wingtip, smaller aircraft have one pair, larger have two – There appeared to be only one white light which flared and then dimmed in intensity, rather than instantly strobed on and off. Bright white taxi light at the nose of most aircraft to aid in motion while on the ground - If this light were being switched on and off as a joke it would have to have been done constantly until the object was completely out of sight. This seems very unlikely to me. I am not aware if this light would flare up and down in intensity rather than just immediately switch on or off. Bright white landing lights and runway turnoff lights - The object certainly wasn't coming in to land as it flew right away into the horizon without changing altitude. Once switched on these lights would remain on not change in intensity. So if the object wasn’t a normal aircraft, what else could it have been? It possibly could have been a hoax created by someone who knew the sky watch was taking place. However if it was a remote controlled object, it was certainly flying very fast, and surely the engine used to power this would have made a loud noise. Also the object flew completely into the distance so there would have needed to be a very long range on the remote control. Possibly it was some sort of secret military aircraft or remote drone. Cradle Hill is right next to army owned land. However it seems unlikely that they would fly it right over the town of Warminster, and then display this to a group of people who would then go and talk about it to everyone. The object was certainly within the atmosphere rather than out in space. The regular flaring light, constant speed and changing of direction means it cannot have had a natural explanation such as a meteorite or earth lights. Therefore currently the object cannot be identified and is a valid UFO sighting. If anyone has any information about what this object was or recognises the light colours and patterns seen please contact me via E-Mail or phone. Mysterious Yellow Light Incident At roughly midnight there were about ten people remaining on Cradle Hill. We were scanning the skies and watching several satellites on their paths. I was facing towards the West and chatting with my friends Zoe & Ian from Fareham UFO Research Group. Suddenly someone in a group to our left shouted “Look at that!” I quickly turned round and saw what looked like a long thin glowing yellow area of light that swept across the light cloud to the East. It only lasted a split-second before vanishing. People that had seen the whole thing said it moved to the left and then quickly back to the right. We were mystified as to what had caused the light. A couple of minutes went by and suddenly it returned as a stationary light. It then moved a short distance to the left before vanishing again. Soon afterwards it reappeared and remained for a while. It was now that we realised what the light was – it was a search light coming up from the nearby MoD facility. We assumed that the people manning the facility had put the light on for a laugh as they were aware the sky watch was taking place. There seems to be no other reason why they would have done this so late at night. Soon afterwards myself, Zoe and Ian decided to call it a night and left Cradle Hill. Other Witness Statements When a number of witnesses all experience something unusual, their accounts on what occurred may differ from each other slightly, as you will see with the following statements by some of the other people present on the sky watch. In reviewing all of the accounts together it is possible to come up with a clear picture of what actually occurred. Statement by sky watcher Tom Jenkins: “I became aware of a dimly lit sky in the distance. It was five or so minutes of self-speculation before I decided I was actually witnessing the sky lighting up over a bushy horizon opposite where we had first entered the viewing area. I tried to draw my friends’ attention to the sky. This proved difficult at first, every time they glanced up the sky would lay dormant, the moment they re-engaged in conversation facing me, a flash of light blue would emanate from the close horizon, beaconing out in a fan shape, tingeing the bottom of the clouds. The flashes continued to persist becoming brighter, more wide spread and more frequent, eventually gaining the attention of every sky-watcher up Cradle-Hill. Other than the debating of what the flashes could be the Hill remained very silent, there were no thunderous roars following each flash. The flashes continued for another fifteen or so minutes, becoming dimmer until they inevitably ceased. The second anomaly of the night entered the scene disguising itself as a ball of linear moving light. “If you look over there you’ll see an RAF jet just coming in”. I’m not sure who boasted that but it aroused our attentions and I had no reason to believe it was anything other than an RAF jet, the fact it made no sound wasn’t a prominent factor in my process off elimination at that time. So, now ‘knowing’ the white light or perfect roundness was an RAF jet, many sky-watchers armed with 150 watt Magi-lites took to blinding the pilot with a series of unpolished Morse code. When the aggravated, decelerating RAF pilot turned off his white sphere of luminosity, apparently completely disappearing from our sights, a kind of higher panic set in immediately. The light reappeared, at first white and spherical as it had previously being but then turning an intensely vivid blue before again vanishing and reappearing to perform the act again. The whole time it continued to follow its linear path from right to left, whilst decelerating and eventually coming to a complete halt above the Ministry building. The light continued to pulsate, on and off, white and blue, whilst remaining completely stationary, neither increasing or decreasing in size or altering shape. At this point I was prompted to get out my video camera by a desperate cry from my friend along the lines of “Is anyone even recording this?” Despite my best efforts to record the light which was now dimmer, and remaining visible for less frequent periods of time, nothing showed up on the recording (I put this down to poor equipment, rather than a bizarre inability to capture on film).” Statement by Zoe & Ian from Fareham UFO Research Group: “The first flashing lights most definitely had a more earthly explanation, from weather to a man-made light source coming from the distance town. The other beams of lights darting across the sky was in our opinion the MoD playing some sort of trick as the area it was coming from was their training land. The moving light we all saw is more "unexplained". We do not think it’s a plane, commercial or military, as it just did not match up to how planes would normally been seen as at night. The lack of an engine noise, and the fact that there was a plane seen at one point definitely rules this out, as you could clearly make out the alternating lights on the probably commercial jet. The lights on this object seemed as they were pulsating from a bright white to a greenish-blue hue. A remote control device is unlikely as the object was too high up. The only other earthly explanation is that was it some sort of drone prototype. But again that’s unlikely as the MoD would not test their gear in plain view of us. Maybe that was a joke on their part as well? Whatever we saw had an air of "this is unexplained" about it - at least at the moment.” Statement by Malcolm Robinson from Scottish Paranormal Investigations: “I saw those flashes in the clouds and for me it was sheet lightning some miles away. Yes there was no thunder and no rain, but nothing sinister for me (But I could be wrong). For me the light was too fast for a local or national aircraft, if it was a jet I would have expected to hear the sound but didn't. The light seemed bluey-green and seemed to pulse and eventually disappeared into a cloud. UFO or plane? I really don't know. The only way I could know is to do a proper investigation what aircraft were in the vicinity etc.” Statement by Brian McMullan from the UFO-themed band CEIV: “We caught the blue UFO, small but we have it on tape. On film it is moving from right to left and appears four times, first two being the brightest. I would say it's a 'true UFO' no sound etc. The flashes of light I cant say what they were, but certainly not sheet lightning or explosives (army) in distance, again no noise. A farmer was driving a tractor in a field, uphill to the left of the flashes, which we noted when we were near the barn on Cradle Hill later on, who knows! Headlights hitting cloud as tractor bumped along uphill? Didn't come out on film as we viewed them but we have a strange flash to bottom left of film, like a flash from a camera but it's coming towards us. Anyone flashing to the sky would obviously be pointing to the sky area away from us. While filming there was no one in front of us." Conclusion I was astounded that on the organised Weird 09 sky watch we had actually seen some unusual and unexplained things. I had expected to only see satellites and the occasional “shooting star”. The flashes of light at 11pm were interesting, but the main sighting of the night was definitely the object with unusual lights on. After so many years of searching it looks like I may well have finally experienced something that will remain unexplained. I will certainly not hesitate to return to Cradle Hill in the future, who knows what further sightings may lie ahead? Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 19/09/2009 For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used for some witnesses and specific locations ommited Introduction George was born in rural Australia, in 1960. He was the eldest son in a family of two parents and four children. As a child he was interested in music and sport, and was a proficient athlete. George joined the police force at the earliest opportunity and his career ended after retiring from Ill-health. He lives in rural Australia with his wife Emma. George has had many unusual experiences and UFO sightings, the majority of which this report will cover in depth. In April 2009, he decided to go for hypnotic regression by renowned hypnotherapist Mary Rodwell to see if it would provide him with any answers. The near-complete transcript of this regression can be read towards the end of the report. Initial Message George’s journey began in March 1994. He was in the bathroom getting ready for work when he heard a voice in his head. He at first thought this voice was his own. The voice told him not to go to work that day. George believes he either had insight of what was to take place, or that he was being told this message for his own protection. For personal reasons, no more information will be released regarding this incident. Father Figure The first obvious vision that George had took place in 1997 when he was 37 years old. Towards the end of August he started dating Sophie, a lady who had emigrated from England. On 20th September he was vacuuming his home in Bairnsdale, Victoria, when he kept seeing the image of an older gentleman in his mind. He recognised this man as Sophie’s father who had passed away two years earlier. He had never met him before but had seen a photograph of him on Sophie’s dresser. In his mind he saw her father slapping him on the back and saying “Look after her son and she’ll never let you down”. He also saw the name Eric written in big black capital letters. George continued vacuuming but the vision was clear and persistent, and this made him feel a little uncomfortable. Later he drove to Sophie’s house to pick her and her daughter up to take them out to the country for the weekend. As they left town and were heading across the highway, he asked her “What was your father’s name?” She replied “Roger”. George was a little perplexed by this as this wasn’t the answer he was expecting to hear. But then she continued, “Actually his real name is Eric, but nobody knows that. He was christened as Eric but all his documents and drivers licence had Roger.” George was so taken aback he almost drove off the road! He exclaimed to her, “I was just talking to him before!” George was both stunned and confused. He asked her whether she had told him her father’s name before, to which she replied “No”. He asked her if she was certain and she said “Yes, if I did I would have told you Roger. He hated his real name and he used Roger on all of his documents. Even his driver’s licence. Everyone knows him as Roger”. George replied “I saw him before in my mind and he kept saying ‘Look after her son and she’ll never let you down’. And he was laughing and slapping me on the back. Are you sure you haven’t told me his name?” Sophie said “It doesn’t surprise me. I feel him around me a lot of the time. I would have told you Roger or just Dad.” George was a little surprised at how un-perturbed she seemed by his revelation. An hour later Sophie asked him what the date was. When he told her, she replied “This is my wedding anniversary. I married Gregg on the 20th September in 1984. That is what my father would have said to Gregg!” Voices & Apparitions On a number of occasions, George has heard disembodied voices or seen apparitions of people in his house. He is not sure whether or not these incidents are linked to his contact experiences, but it is possible that they are due to a heightened awareness that his experiences have granted him. Perhaps they are ghosts/spirits that he is now able to detect as a result, though he of course cannot say for sure. One night in the late 1990’s while he was single, George was suddenly awoken around 4.30am by a voice in his bedroom. He heard what sounded like the voice of a young girl coming from a position level with his head on the pillow. She said “Wake up George!” At the same time he heard four knocks on the bedside bench. The voice then said “Wake up!” and again accompanied by four knocks on the bench. It was pitch black in the room and George could not see anything. He was not frightened by the voice, and instead reacted like a concerned parent. He switched on the light and asked “Can I help you?” but there was no-one there. George felt there was a definite presence in the room and that the voice was not just a dream. As the voice had been at head-height, if it did come from someone they would have been about three feet high. On another night in 1999, he awoke about 3-4am to the feeling that someone was in the room. George could see a tall slim man with thick chestnut-coloured hair, wearing jeans and a flannelette shirt, standing next to his bed. He could see this man even though it was apparently pitch black in the room, which is an interesting aspect of this incident. The man did not move or communicate with George. As soon as he switched on the light, the figure completely vanished. Later the same year, George also saw what appeared to be a stout, middle aged 17th century soldier wearing a red tunic with white lace top, and holding a stick of some kind, perhaps a drumstick. George feels it was around 4am again. This apparition walked through his bedroom and kept on going straight through the wall. Drawing of apparitions George saw in his room: 📷 Vision of Ramana In 1998 George decided to join a group known as the Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families group (ACOA). Members of the group knew of a nearby Reiki class. George decided he would go along with a couple of the other members. He was inquisitive about it and thought that it couldn’t hurt. In early August he was given a Reiki on a massage table at a friend’s house by his friend Marie and another group member. While he was under the Reiki, George drifted into a semi-sleep state. In this state he found himself drifting down towards a large stone wall with land behind it. He was then standing in a large gravelled area where a bazaar was in progress. A man came into view from his left. The man was wearing a turban and a crimson speckled George. The man had golden-brown coloured skin and a moustache and beard. Even though he did not speak, George immediately felt akin to him. Another shorter man dressed in white clothing came in from George’ s right and exchanged greetings with the first man. The men appeared to know each other. They led George across to the right to the edge of the land. This lead down into water which spread out into the distance underneath a sun-filled sky. The man in white drew George’s attention across the water towards the light. George was then told that he was one of them and that he was going to help bring all people back to God. They were very out-numbered but in the end the truth would prevail and people would turn back to faith. He was told he was young and good but also naive, and would need to learn a lot before he would be ready to assist in this endeavour. George then found himself near a darkened entrance in the rock wall. A number of women were spinning wool near the entrance. He felt that this was pressure to commit to something, and that he should only walk into the entrance when he was ready. He said “Do I have to do this now? Commit now?” A voice replied to him “No, only when you’re ready”. He then became aware he was lying on the table and could see a tape of letters going past his eyes right to left. He recognised some of the words but others he hadn’t seen before. One of the words he saw was Ramana. For some reason he began to speak this word out loud until he was brought back to full awareness. George felt a little embarrassed about it. A few days later on the 9th August, George was telling his sister June about the experience. He wrote down some of the words he had seen and then felt compelled to draw. This appeared to be happening automatically, as if he was tracing out a shape that had already been defined. George is not an artist and wondered if it was him drawing or someone else. First he drew Ramana. He then filled in an object behind him which turned out to be an elephant. 📷 George began to see a mountain in his mind and get a strong impression of where Ramana lived. He then drew a map showing coast lines, borders and the position where the man lived. Unfortunately George has since lost this map drawing. At the time George was not familiar with the world map and didn’t recognise the area he had drawn. He had no idea whether or not Ramana actually existed. Soon afterwards he put the drawing of Ramana he had done on his lounge wall. In April 2000 George’ s friend Valerie came to visit. When she saw the picture on the wall she asked who the man was. George had come to believe that he was a spirit guide to him in some way. She asked his name and George told her he had come to know the man as Ramana. She asked how he had found out the man’s name and George explained how it had come to him in the vision. Valerie replied “Do you realise he is a real person?” George asked “How do you mean?” She told him “Ramana Raharshi was a healer in India. He died a long time ago”. George had no idea and was quite stunned by this revelation. When they looked at the map George had drawn, they found out that this too was real and showed an area of India. The location George marked on the map, and the low mountain he had seen in the vision were both correct. Ramana lived in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, South India. He walked up the mountain named Arunachala daily. He was a Hindu spiritual teacher, and declared himself an Atriasrami – Someone completely withdrawn from the outside world and entirely dedicated to spiritual freedom. Ramana died on 14th April 1950. George feels that his vision was from the 1920’s when Ramana was still relatively healthy. There is no explanation for why he had the vision of this man, and at the time he had no idea he was even a real person. In late 2008 Valerie visited India. When she showed George her holiday photos, he saw huge rock walls which looked very similar to those he had seen in the vision. George believes that the vision of Ramana was presented to him for a reason. Back when it took place he felt it was God’s way of letting him know there is more to life than just the five senses. He now believes it may have something to do with his contact experiences in some way. He believes that Ramana is a protector and guide of some kind, and that the man in white was a higher being representative of the light. The Blue Truck One Sunday afternoon in July 1999, George went on a trip to Picton about 16 km from his home. About 3.30pm he decided to return to Beeton. There are two return routes to Beeton, the common route is the Beeton-Picton Road, or alternatively there is the Fern Creek Road which heads further inland. George reached a location known as Echo Point and then for some reason decided to turn onto the Fern Creek Road, something he would not usually do. As he drove along he thought to himself “Why did I go this way?” He assumed he must have subconsciously wanted to visit his friend Paul who lived just off the Fern Creek Road. Further on the route he decided he didn’t want to go there so he drove on into Beeton. As he drove along Light Street, towards the turning into Donald Street, he noticed a small blue truck facing West on the corner. Someone was in the driver’s seat but the truck was stationary. As George got closer he recognised the driver as his old friend Andy Mitchell who he had not seen in a long time. Andy had been a well respected builder in the town, and George also recognised the truck as his work vehicle with the name “A. Mitchell” on the door. He waved at him and Andy acknowledged him by lifting a finger off the wheel. George had used to visit Andy’s nightclub regularly. One night there in 1992, Andy had confided in him that he had leukaemia, and had required bone marrow transplants numerous times to stay alive. As George drove on past he thought to himself “He looks bloody good for a bloke who should have been dead ten years ago. I’m glad I saw him”. Andy had been there for George during a bad patch of his life soon after he left the police force. He turned right and continued onward to his home. Drawing showing the route George took and position of Andy’s van: 📷 The following Tuesday or Wednesday, George decided to visit his friend Paul, who ran a gym in the local area. Paul was busy chatting to someone else, so while he waited, George picked up a newspaper that was lying around. At the time he had the habit of reading the paper from the back. As he got to the obituaries he saw the name Andy Mitchell. He immediately thought it must have been Andy’s father who had died. He interrupted Paul to ask him, and Paul informed him that it was Andy who had died and not his father. George was surprised and said “Geez it can happen quick can’t it? I only saw him the other day. He looked great”. George’s assumption was that Andy had died suddenly since the weekend. Seeing Paul was in deep conversation he said goodbye and headed back home. At the time, George would often go to the Triton Hotel about 5pm in the evening to catch up with the locals and have some drinks. As he was newly retired this was a good way to stay in touch with people. That evening as he drove into town he suddenly had the strong urge to head towards the Central Hotel instead. This felt strange but because he knew others who drank there he went along with it. As he arrived he realised his friends were there. He went to get a beer and then joined them for a chat. About 20 minutes past, and Daryl, another old friend of his walked into the bar. Daryl was a retired sergeant but did some work at the bar as a doorman. George assumed he was there to collect a pay check. As he entered the bar, he walked right up to George, picked up a newspaper and said to him “Hey Georgie, did you see this?” He pointed at Andy’s obituary. George replied “G’day Daz. Yeah I did. And I got a real shock, I only saw him the other day.” “When was that?” “Just the other day, I waved to him in his truck.” “When?” “It would have been within the last week. Why?” “Whereabouts?” “Up near my joint. In Donald Street.” “You couldn’t have.” “Well I did.” “It’s impossible! You must be seeing things. He was in the City Hospital for the last six weeks dying. He was in a coma for the last ten days, and died a very painful death.” George felt awkward and confused. He was certain he had seen both Andy and his old truck. He had looked right at him. Andy had even acknowledged him. He did not want to offend Daryl by pushing the issue. Daryl then added “Anyway you couldn’t have seen the truck because the plates are off it and it’s been sitting in my shed out at Foxwood Road for the last two years.” In the weeks that followed, George could not get what had happened out of his head. He went to Andy’s funeral and was considering telling Andy’s wife Jenny what had happened but decided not to in the end. Many times he thought about visiting Daryl's house to take a look at the old truck just to confirm that the words on the door were “A. Mitchell” but he was too worried about what he might think of him. George was friends with the neighbours of his friend Valerie. At Christmas time, they were out one warm evening and the neighbours came outside for a chat. They started reminiscing old times and Tim mentioned the nightclub. George then remembered that Tim had used to work on the door of the club. He informed him about Andy’s death. He also told him about how Andy had opened up to him about his ill health. Tim replied that he must have liked George because he wouldn’t waste time chatting to people he didn’t like. Tim also said that he was a very fair and good boss. It was now that George learnt that Tim had actually helped Andy with his building work as well as with the club. George decided to seize the opportunity and ask him about the truck. “Tim do you remember that little blue truck Andy had for years, the little Jap one?” “Oh shit yeah, I used to drive that thing every day!” “ Did you?” “Yep.” “Do you remember what was written on the door?” “Yes, it was A Mitchell” “A Mitchell or A dot Mitchell?” “Yeah it was A dot Mitchell.” “Not A and J or Andrew Mitchell?” “Nah it was just A dot Mitchell. We actually used to give him a hard time because it only had his name and not Jenny’s on it. He said if Jenny ever left him at least he’d have something to show for it. All his other work stuff had A and J Mitchell Builders on it.” “You sure the dot was there?” “Absolutely, I drove it all the time.” Soon afterwards George visited Andy’s grave, and the photograph on the headstone was exactly the same as the person he had seen in the blue truck. He doesn’t know why or how, but he is completely convinced that on that day in July 1999 he saw a vision of Andy Mitchell and his old truck shortly before the time that he died, even though Andy spent his final weeks in a hospital bed. This and other experiences George has had suggest that he has heightened senses and can sometimes see apparitions. Whether or not this has been brought on by his contact experiences is not currently known. UFO Sightings Since 1990 George has had numerous impressive and varied sightings of UFOs. Some of these have appeared as glowing lights in the sky, others have had definite solid structure to them. He believes that some of the glowing UFOs may have been solid craft, where as others may have been in the form of energy. In some of the sightings, George believes that he was being shown them on purpose rather than being a random observer. In many there have been multiple witnesses, which validates them as real objects. He has also managed to take a number of interesting photographs. Late 1998/Early 1999 Sighting George has been fascinated by UFOs for most of his life, but has only started looking into them in detail in recent years. His first real sighting of unknown aerial phenomenon did not occur until late 1998/early 1999. It was around midnight, and a clear night with the stars visible. George was in the back yard of his house chatting with his friend Marie who was sitting in the back doorway. He was also playing ball with his dog. They were casually drinking beer at the time, but had not had a lot. George was looking towards the house when suddenly his attention was drawn to what he first thought was an unusually bright star. It was a pure white light to the South West and high in the sky. He thought to himself “That’s not where a bright star should be”. Then suddenly the object grew to three times it’s original size. He exclaimed “Wow!” out loud. George felt that there was some sort of intelligence to it. At this moment he received two messages in his head, “We love you”, and “Someone standing next to you may not see us”. He continued to stare at the light. After about eight seconds it started to shrink in size. As it did so a mild mist passed it, and George wondered how small it would get. Then suddenly it completely disappeared. There was no obstruction such as a cloud which could have accounted for this. This sudden disappearance impressed him. Looking back at the incident he likens it to a dimensional window that closed in front of the object. This would not be the last time that George would see something act in this manner. 📷 After George explained to Marie what he had seen, she smiled and described it as a “mind touch”, and told George they were just letting their presence known to him. At the time he didn’t really fully believe this. Today he does. Up until several years ago, George’ s vision was excellent. Today his vision is still very good although he now reads with glasses. So this is unlikely to have been the cause of the incident. The fact the light was stationary and then grew considerably in size, and the messages that George received suggest it wasn’t a satellite or meteorite. George believes that the object was in the atmosphere rather than in orbit. 13th April 2001 Sighting There is a mountain north of Beeton. George has walked on this mountain many times and is especially drawn to the place. He would walk from the crossroads near the base of the mountain, up a gravel road which leads up it, to a gate at the top. He used to do this every few days. On 13th April 2001 he went there with his friend Valerie. It was 9pm and the sun had gone down, the weather was clear and the sky a magenta colour. They had reached the top of the mountain and were on their way back down the road. They were talking about the bad things that people do to each other, and how beings from other planets would view our race. George remarked “You know Valerie, these poor bastards probably think we’re mad here. And who do we think we are? How would we feel if they said we didn’t exist?” They continued walking. Several minutes later, George noticed a bright white light coming from above them. He turned to Valerie and saw that she was already staring up at it. He looked also and knew immediately it was them. They could see a stationary bright white light in the sky. George estimates it was about 3000 feet high. He exclaimed “Now that’s not a shooting star is it?” As they watched, the object suddenly increased in size by at least two times. It is unknown whether the object increased physically in size or if this was just caused by an increase in the light intensity. The light was like a shimmering pure white globe and there was a dark purple corona between the light and the dark. 📷 Valerie was awestruck and said “Wow.” She had heard George’ s accounts of sightings he had had, but had never experienced anything before herself. George replied “Scared?” She said “Nooo…”. She then put her hand up to her chest, and informed George that she felt love. Several seconds later the object collapsed back down to its original size. It then began moving away from their position and climbing in altitude. They watched it as it slowly vanished from sight over three minutes. 📷 George was pleased that Valerie had finally had an experience herself. He assumes they must have heard what he said and appeared on purpose. The object certainly appeared to be under intelligent control, and there is no doubt in George’s mind that it was an ET craft. The sudden increase in size of the light is identical to what happened in the late 1998 / early 1999 sighting, suggesting that it was a similar object or an object being controlled to the same effect. 3rd August 2001 Sighting Later the same year on 3rd August another impressive sighting took place. It was 8.00pm in the evening, and George was getting ready to drive across town to see his friend Valerie and her 16 year old son Dan. He got into his car outside his house.The sun had gone down a couple of hours earlier and it was a clear and starry night. He reversed out of his drive way and was looking to the East, when he immediately noticed a golden orange glow low down in the sky to the South East. He thought to himself “It’s them” but then wondered if it was the security light at the Army Hall which was situated in that direction. He braked the car to a halt to see if the glowing light was stationary. It was now that he realised it was moving! The light was moving slowly in a westerly direction. George became excited as this light was familiar to him. He quickly drove the car to the end of the street and parked again. On the opposite corner were three people, two were obviously in the process of leaving. George felt a little awkward as he thought they may assume he was watching them. In the background the golden glow continued moving to the west. 📷 Less than a minute later George decided to drive around the corner and south to the council yards where he could get a better look at the glowing light. Here he got out of the car. The light was now clearer and sharper, and looked very beautiful. It continued slowly in front of him high up in the sky, and then suddenly became stationary. George thought about driving over to Valerie’s house so they could see it to. At this moment something said to him “There’s no hurry, it’s ok, there’s no need to do that”. For an unknown reason George felt that Valerie and Dan would see the light anyway, and there would be no need for him to go and tell them about it. 📷 George continued to watch the stunning golden glow in the sky in front of him. George estimates it was half a mile south of his position and between 800-1000 feet high. He watched it for about eight minutes in awe. Then the light began to dim in intensity until it had completely switched off. George could now see the object the light had been coming from. It looked like a small, dull, shiny stone. It then dropped and swooped to the right underneath a second shiny stone he noticed as the first one dropped. He then realised there was a second object which remained stationary next to where the first had been situated moments ago. Excited by this impressive sighting, George drove over to Valerie’s house five minutes away. When he arrived he immediately went back outside to see if he could see anything else in the sky. Valerie asked “You’ve seen them haven’t you?” George replied “Yep, and I think they’re coming back”. George called for Dan to come and watch with him outside. He did so, and they leant against the car looking to the South. About 5-7 minutes passed, and then suddenly two golden coloured stationary lights appeared in the sky. One light was diagonal from the other, with a short distance between them. George called Valerie and she too came outside and saw the lights. They remained motionless in the sky for about four minutes and then suddenly vanished without trace. 📷 This was an impressive series of events, and the fact that there were multiple witnesses certainly shows it actually took place. The colour of the objects is not consistent with them being aircraft, and the fact that they moved slowly and hovered motionless means they cannot have been meteorites. They are also unlikely to have been earth lights, and these do not tend to appear over urban areas. October 2001 Sighting Neither George nor Valerie can remember the exact date when this sighting occurred, but they were both present for it. They were in George’s car driving along Lion Street in Beeton. George suddenly noticed a glowing golden light in the cloudy sky to the North West. It appeared to be stationary. He stopped the car at the corner and they watched it. It was like a big bright star, but golden yellow in colour. There was a group of teenagers also on the corner but they either didn’t notice the light or were ignoring it. They drove up to the hill and continued to watch it from there. It remained in the sky, and Valerie said it must be a star, but George was sure it was not. Then it was covered by a cloud, so after a few minutes they decided to drive to Valerie’s house. When the sky cleared the object had vanished. The unusual thing about this sighting was that the other people present did not appear to notice the object at all even though it was very obvious. George says it felt as if the were in a separate time slot to everyone else. In total they watched the object for about 15 minutes. 1st December 2001 Sighting On the 1st December 2001, George was having an evening drink outside with his friend Valerie at his house. The weather was bright and breezy. George was standing in the back yard 15 feet from the door facing South East, and Valerie was seated on the lawn facing North West. Outside the front of George’s house is a 50 foot high Gum tree. He could see the top of this tree over the roof of his house. Suddenly something came floating into his vision above the tree, heading in a northwards direction. His first thought was that it was a floating piece of tin or cardboard. But as he focused on the object he could see it was rectangular in shape, and a metallic looking deep red colour. It had rounded corners and three or four straight black coloured grooves in its underside. It also had four or five aluminium-like antennae protruding from one of the corners. 📷 The object was moving slowly on a northward path, and was slowly turning anti-clockwise. It was completely silent, and appeared to be 300-400 feet high. It did not appear to be being propelled in any way, and was emitting no smoke or gas. It looked like a solid dense object which was freely floating of its own accord. George pointed out the object to Valerie. She saw it approaching and exclaimed “Gee it’s moving!” As it passed, George saw it on the horizontal, and compared the shape to that of a traditional biscuit tin. They continued to watch the object until it had disappeared out of sight. The whole sighting lasted for a minute at most. Neither witness was disturbed by what they had seen, but certainly believed it to be a solid craft of unknown type. George has never seen anything like it since. 2001-2002 Sighting One night in 2001/2002 (he cannot remember the exact date), George let the dog out into the back yard of his house. He was out in the yard and happened to look to the west. He then noticed two or three small lights moving and tangling around each other, and coming in his direction. They appeared to be 1000-1500 feet high. As they got closer, George could see them as soft milky coloured lights in the dark sky. The lights were completely silent. 📷 As they approached they formed a triangular formation and flew past George continuing eastward. The lights certainly appeared under intelligent control, but George could not make out any solid shapes behind the lights. It certainly seems that these lights were coming from actual objects rather than natural phenomena due to the straight flight path and fact the lights were moving together in formation. 📷 Metal Disc 2001/2002 Sighting George cannot remember the date of this particular UFO sighting but is sure it was in either 2001 or 2002. It was late afternoon about 5pm, and the sky was clear. He arrived home and walked out into the back yard of his house. He was at the South-East corner of the house when something suddenly made him look straight up into the sky. When he did so, he saw what looked like a dull grey metal disc-shaped object hovering stationary in the air. It was hard to tell how high it was, but he believes it was very high up, at least 3000 feet, and one fifth the size of his thumbnail at arm's length. George watched it for several seconds, and then it suddenly shot directly upwards out of sight extremely fast. It left a wake in the sky behind it which remained darker than the surrounding sky for a couple of seconds; George described this as looking like a “hole in the sky”. 📷 He does not believe anyone else saw the object as it was very high in the air. It certainly looked like a solid metallic craft of unknown type. He was awestruck by what he had seen, and still is when he thinks back to the incident. September 2002 Sightings One evening in September 2002, George drove out to see the Beeton football finals at the local football ground. When he arrived home it was getting dark. He went into his lounge and put the light on, but nothing happened. He could hear the TV coming from next door so knew it was only his property that was affected. He checked the fuse box but could find no fault. He decided to call out the local power company to check up on the problem. Half an hour later two people from the power company turned up. They decided the power line at the front of the property was faulty and would need replacing. As they got to work on it, George decided to grab a beer and head out into the back yard. He was standing in the back yard about 7.30pm listening to the radio, when he spotted a golden orb of light coming from the North quite slowly, on the western side of the fence, above the gulley which ran along the side of his house. The object was roughly 200 metres high. He ran and grabbed his binoculars from the bedroom dresser. He then returned outside and watched the golden molten orb of light as it passed by the property. He tried to urge it to stop but it continued on a straight flight path. After it had gone he went around front and asked the workers if they had seen it too, but because they were distracted they hadn’t noticed the object. They finished fixing the power line and tested it before departing. The following morning, George was on his way out when he realised his car battery was dead. It was so drained of power that he couldn’t even jump start it. The battery was relatively new and had not caused any trouble prior to this. In the end he had to get his mechanic friend to bring over his super jump starter pack, and they had to jump start the vehicle three times on the way to the garage. George wonders if this unusual power drainage, and perhaps the power outage, were in some way linked to the object which he had seen. He does not believe the object was something mundane, such as a home-made garbage bag lantern or balloon. Several days later, George had an appointment in the City and asked his brother Martin to come along for the trip. In the evening they were driving back to George’s house. It was around 7.30pm and dusk. They were travelling along the highway when Martin needed to use the toilet. George pulled into the public toilets on the main street of Smithville. George was leaning against his truck facing to the West when a light gradually came into view. He watched as the light expanded and slowly moved northward on a horizontal path. George describes the object as “slug shaped” rather than an orb and was a mild whitish colour. His brother came out of the toilets so George called him and pointed out the light to him. Martin, who had had a few drinks, laughed and said “Shit, I can’t believe I have seen one! It’s great”. They watched it for a number of seconds before it faded out. George is not sure whether or not it was extraterrestrial in nature. Later when they arrived home, George grabbed a beer and then sat in the kitchen talking with his brother. After about an hour, they decided to go out into the back yard as it was a clear night. Martin was quite drunk by this time, but George was still sober and reflective. Suddenly something made him look straight up into the sky above. Initially he saw nothing, but almost immediately a ring of lights appeared in sequence to form more than a semi-circle shape. He quickly tried to grab Martin’s head to direct him to look up but by the time he had done this the lights had vanished 📷 George’ s impression was that the lights were either a circle of separate objects that were very high up and illuminated one after the other, or that there was a larger single object at a lower position which had tilted and gave a display of a number of lights upon it. If it was the later of these, he did not see any solid object behind the lights. The lights were clearly defined much like halogen lights in the night sky. George is very happy to have had this sighting, and is convinced that it was something out of the ordinary. 2002 UFO Dream One night in 2002 George had a very vivid dream in which he saw a UFO. In the dream, he was standing outside near a letter box at his childhood home and it was a warm night. He could feel the warm breeze against his face. He looked up into the sky and saw a craft move off to the south from about 300 feet up. It looked like a grey coloured circular disc shape with a mauve colour at the centre. 📷 When George awoke he was so impressed by the dream that he drew the craft he had seen. He says the dream felt very real indeed. Knocks On The Wall In 2003 a counsellor invited George to sit in on a men’s support group. One of the men there was very angry and couldn’t accept the fact his wife was changing as a person. George was concerned for him. He became even more concerned as the man's manner changed after being medicated. One night about 4am in the morning, George awoke to hear nine loud knocking noises on his bedroom wall. They sounded like they were coming from the wall itself; there was no sound of an echo. The following day George went swimming and met one of the other men from the group. He learnt that during the night or the day before, the angry man he knew of had committed suicide. George wonders if the two events were linked, but he has no way of knowing for sure. 28th December 2007 Photograph On numerous occasions George has taken photographs of the sky in the hope of catching something unusual. This photo was taken from the driveway of his house. It may be merely a bird, but it does look metallic as if it reflecting the sunlight. Could this be a disc-shaped craft that George unwittingly photographed? 28th December 2007 photograph (object in top right): 📷 28th December 2007 object zoomed: 📷 Grey Being Sighting This incident did not happen to George, but to a friend of his brother’s named Stan. One night in October 2008, George was chatting with his brother Martin online via Messenger. His brother knows about George’ s views and some of his experiences. He said to him “Got a mate lives near you. Saw something unusual up the bush a few months back…grey type of unusual thing”. George asked his brother for more details. In early 2008, Stan had been working on a property in rural Australia clearing up trees and bushes. All day long he felt a strange feeling of being watched. It was 3.15pm and Stan was just finishing off, clearing some bushes from around the front gate of the property. He finished clearing and put away his tools in his tray vehicle. As he closed the door, he suddenly noticed that he was being observed by a Grey being. It was standing about 40 metres away from him, slightly higher on the hillside and partially hidden behind a bush. The being was short with a large head, pale grey coloured skin, and two large black almond-shaped eyes. 📷 Stan was of course shocked by what he was looking at. He stood there for a while, staring at the being. It did not move and in the end he decided to leave. He went to close the gate and looking up again he could still see the Grey staring at him. Stan got into his truck and drove away. After hearing the story, George immediately felt it was very important to meet Stan and speak to him about his encounter. It suddenly became the most essential thing for him to do, and he was highly agitated by it. He believed that the story was genuine but could not understand his reaction to hearing it. He asked his brother to pass on his number to Stan. A week later Stan called George and they had a long conversation. George and Emma first met Stan in person in November 2008. George describes Stan as a very honest, intelligent and hard working man, and is absolutely certain that the incident took place as Stan described. After their initial meeting, George was still highly agitated and was having trouble sleeping. Stan’s story had affected him deeply in ways he did not then fully understand. He felt worried about going outside and kept staring up at the roof of the house. He knew there had to be a reason for this. After a while he settled down and things seemed to be getting back to normal, but then it all started again. Martin’s girlfriend had a copy of Mary Rodwell’s book “Awakening”. She decided to lend it to George to read, as she knew he had experienced things. When George began reading the book, he became even more uncomfortable and found it even harder to get to sleep. Spurred by these unexplained feelings he was having, George began to make plans to visit Mary Rodwell for a hypnotic regression. November 2008 Photograph One evening in November 2008 George and Emma were coming home from a trip to town. They were driving along the road when George suddenly felt compelled to take a photograph of the sunset. He pulled over, and set his digital camera on night portrait-without flash mode. He then leant it on the driver’s side open window. He took two photographs. Suddenly there were two flashes heading North between the two bright stars he could see in the sky. George was annoyed that the camera hadn’t been ready to take at that moment. He continued to take more photographs before continuing the drive home. A couple of days later when he scanned in the photographs, in the second shot he noticed an object to the left of the two stars. When he zoomed in on this object he could see it looked metallic and unusual. 23rd November 2008 photograph: 📷 23rd November 2008 object zoomed: 📷 18th January 2009 UFO Photographs On 18th January 2009 George aimed his camera at the sky and took a sequence of three shots. The first photo showed nothing but on the 2nd and 3rd appeared two white glowing orbs in close proximity to one another. George feels there is the possibility these are not simply birds caught in the sunlight. At this time he was having trouble sleeping with the light off, so they would obscure it with a cuddly toy rather than switch it off. As with many nights, George and Emma had stayed up very late chatting. George believes he eventually dropped off to sleep around 5am. He awoke an hour later with the feeling of a presence in the room. He opened his eyes and could see that Emma was also awake. He rolled over in bed away from her extremely fast, and could immediately see a figure standing next to the bed in front of him. Diagram showing bedroom layout and position of being: 📷 Diagram of the being: 📷 The being looked like a tall, thin aged humanoid, probably female, wearing a white Georgee/gown with dark line down the centre. The woman’s head was small and roundish in shape. She had white coloured skin and close-set, very intense staring eyes which appeared dark but not black – George believes they were very dark brown. Coming outward from the eyes were darkish lines. 📷 She had long straggled hair that hung over the sides of her head to just below the ears. The hair was like spaghetti tubing and was white with a blue tinge to it. The being was standing straight and looking down at George. There appeared to be white light coming from behind the figure. 📷 George stared deeply into the eyes of the being for several seconds, and as he did it seemed to become even more physical. He was surprised and pointed up at the being saying to Emma “Look!” At that moment the being appeared to fade away to nothing. Emma informed George she did not see the being but had seen him point up at where it was standing. 📷 The being did not appear to communicate with him in any way. George is convinced that the manifestation was real and that he was fully awake at the time. He believes the being appeared for a reason. Probably to validate his feelings that there are presenses in his life. George believes that the being was very old and wise. He has heard of tall slim humanoids but this is the only time he has seen one. This being bears striking similarities to those seen by both Simon, the key witness in the Bletchley contact case, in late June 2009, and by Daniel, the contactee from Bromsgrove during his contact experience when he was three years old. These similarities include the long white robes, height and build, stern serious look, dark piercing eyes, shoulder-length hair and elderly appearance. It is quite possible that the beings were all of the same race / type. If so this highlights the fact that this is a world-wide phenomenon. Dreams of Flying All his life George has had recurring dreams of flying or floating upward. When he does he is always worried about hitting power lines. He never feels fully in control and is scared of being electrocuted, but even when he thinks he hits them he never feels any electricity. Just prior to going to see Mary Rodwell for his regression he had a dream of this type. He was on a street in his hometown. He could see people he knew sitting outside and drinking coffee. He then began to float upwards. When he looked up, instead of seeing power lines, he saw a grid covered vent. He was able to control himself and move around it. Ever since going for the regression he has not had another dream of this type. George believes this is significant. He believes that he has lost his fear of being electrocuted when he has contact and this is why he no longer has the dream. Could these dreams have anything to do with ET contact or are they un-related? 3rd April 2009 Photograph In April 2009 just before going to meet Mary Rodwell for the first time, George and Emma visited the mall in Perth. It was a bright and clear day. George took some pictures of the tall buildings. When he got back home he scanned in the photographs and noticed something unusual in one of them. When he zoomed in on the anomaly he was amazed to see that to him it resembled two beings. This was especially interesting considering the purpose of his trip. Was this pure coincidence or a genuine sign that George was being watched? 3rd April 2009 photograph (anomaly in upper middle): 📷 3rd April 2009 anomaly zoomed and enhanced: 📷 Hypnotic Regression In April 2009 George and Emma flew to Perth so that George could undergo a hypnotic regression by renowned hypnotherapist Mary Rodwell. They met for a number of hours the day before his regression to discuss George’ s experiences. He then returned at mid-day the next day to be regressed by Mary. This regression brought up some interesting information. It may have helped explain the fear which George had felt after speaking with Stan about his incident, and gave the impression that George has been an extraterrestrial contactee for most of his life. Nevertheless Greorge now has no fear or anxiety regarding his contact and has slept soundly since speaking with Mary Rodwell. Below is a large part of the transcript of the regression, interspersed with drawings done by George at a later date. Certain lines have been removed from it for privacy reasons. M: As you’re aware of standing on the top, I want you to walk down the stairs one at a time. Very slowly, and as you walk down you’re going deeper and deeper into that knowing. And we’re going down the steps one at a time very slowly, as we’re going from ten…down to nine…down to eight…you feel yourself going deeper into that knowing…down to seven…six…five…deeper and deeper…four…three…two…one. You’re now at the bottom of the stairway, and right in front of you I want you to imagine, sense or feel a beautiful bright lit passageway, and when you can see that passageway I want you to tell me. You can imagine it, you can create it however you wish to. G: Yeah. M: Great. Now I want you to walk towards the passageway. G: Yeah. M: And as you’re walking, and it’s brightly lit, to one side are many doors and each door has a number on it, and each number is a year of your life, going from 1 to your age now, right through to when you were a small child. And I want you to start walking down the passageway, and we’re asking for the beginning or the origin of some of your fear, we want to know when it started, when it began. So as you’re walking down that passageway now, you’re going to be drawn to a particular door with a number on it. G: One. M: Ok. So that’s the doorway that I want you to allow yourself to walk through. Only when you’re ready, tell me when you’re ready to walk through it. Only when you’re ready to go. G: Ok. M: When you’re ready, open the door, and as you walk through I want you to tell me where you are. I want you to look at your body and tell me whether you’re standing up or lying down. G: Standing up. M: Ok. I want you to look at your feet and tell me whether you’ve got anything on your feet. Any clothing. G: No. M: There’s nothing on your feet? G: No, they’re not…they’re not mine. M: They’re not yours, can you describe the feet… G: Yes, they’re grey, and skinny. M: Grey and skinny, perfect. So you’re seeing grey and skinny feet. G: No…legs. 📷 M: Legs. Ok, is there any clothing? G: I can’t see. M: Ok. Where are you? G: I’m just standing looking at my legs. M: Looking at your legs. So those are your feet? G: Yeah they’re big long feet. M: Big long feet. G: Mmmm. M: Ok, can you describe what your arms look like? G: They’re grey… M: Grey. G: And skinny. M: And skinny. Ok, what about your head, can you describe your head? G: Yeah. Bald. M: Bald. G: And I’m one of them. 📷 M: You’re one of them. Ok. Is there…can you tell me where you are? What you’re seeing in front of you? R : (Distressed) No. Can’t believe it. M: So you’re one of them. G: Well…I looked down and I saw these skinny grey legs. M: Yeah. G: Below the knees. I can’t really see the feet properly but they look like they’ve got long toes, skinny, the feet are out of proportion with the legs. M: Ok. G: But that’s what I saw, I don’t know what’s bullshit or not… M: No, you just keep going, you’re doing well. Ok so we’ve got some more understanding now, so we’re looking at the origin of your fear and we’re asking that part of you that knows to give you information. So where are you, are you standing inside or outside? Do you feel like you’re in something or in a room, or do you feel like you’re outside? Get a sense of where you are, just allow it to unfold, don’t try, see it as it comes. G: I’m sort of not there anymore. Just need to go, but just need to relax, I’m not relaxed ‘cause I got a shock. M: Ok, we’ll go straight back into that other beautiful space again, and you’re in your space. G: Ok, well I was standing on a floor. When I opened the door it was blue, but it didn’t stay blue. M: Ok. G: I walk….the floor is light…light….light…I’m just in shock. M: Ok. Just allow your breathing… G: You’ve seen alien heads too. All over the place, no just all the way down the…before I even walk down the stairs and just… M: You’re just seeing them. G: Hovered up everywhere. Just Greys. M: The Greys. 📷 G: Black eyes. Been seeing them since I started here. Through the door, standing, looked down…that kind of got me. Errr…and I’m not a kid, you know. Errr…errr…what saying me for? M: Just don’t rush anything. Just go with what… G: I looked down and I saw…and I’m not a kid…I’m a man, but I’m not a man. M: Yeah. G: Errr…I’m in shock, I’m kind of in between the two places here, I’m not as relaxed as I was when I saw that. M: Yeah. Yeah, ‘cause it’s been a shock. G: Errr…I can draw it. M: That’s ok. G: And umm…I’ve got an ego, ‘cause I reckon I’m pretty handsome. The one I’m looking at’s not handsome. He is handsome though, it’s weird, smoother than I thought. M: Yeah. G: Eyes are…the eyes kind of go around, kind of… M: They’re kind of wrap around? G: They go around the side or something. His head’s kind of flat, but the eyes are up round the sides. I’m seeing all these little heads looking at me all the time. Just standing on the floor…and I open the door and walk down and I’m standing on the floor, and I kind of got stuck there, ‘cause when I looked down it was so clear. I can draw it, I’ll draw it one day, but I’m kind of half way in between, you know, I need to go back, but definitely door one, it was door one, had to go straight down there. It started from forty-nine, we went down, it went pretty quick, there was a white door, walked through, and I’m looking there, I’m just looking down and that’s where I’ve gotten stuck. M: Ok, well as you’re there, you’re feeling you’re in a different form to you. G: Oh yeah definitely. M: Ok. G: Oh yes. And I’m in shock, I’m…I’m just really in shock. M: What’s the next thing that happens? You’re standing there, you’re aware of other beings. G: No, no. M: Nothing there now? G: No, no, no…I’m kind of not, I’ve gotten such a shock, I’m kind of… M: Alright, just calm down, close your eyes when you’re ready, and we’ll go straight back in there. G: Ok. Yeah. M: Just calm down. Take nice deep breaths. ‘Cause we want to understand why you’re in shock. G: A shock, I tell ya. Bloody hell! And because, you know, you look down and it’s your legs you’re looking at… M: Yeah. G: I look like them. M: Yeah. Well we’ll look at that… G: I’m…I’m in shock. I’m in shock. M: Calm down, just calm down. Alright? Do you want us to just rest for a short while and then go back? G: I can’t see anything else. M: Ok. G: I’m just kind of like, when I was in there I was right in there… M: Yeah. G: And now I’m just like someone with their eyes closed. M: Yeah. You can still go back to it if you want to. G: Ok. Yeah we’ll do. You just, you’re the boss… M: Ok. So you can still go back, even if that shocked you out of it, you’re still in hypnosis but you’re just a bit lighter that’s all. Ok, so I want you to go back to that beautiful feeling of calm. And as I go one, two, three, four… G: It’s the first time I’ve ever seen, I’m telling ya. M: Are you seeing it really clearly? G: Oh, I was there, it was me…I can’t believe this. I’m really finding this hard to believe. I’m really finding this hard to believe. I think I’m going fucking nuts. M: No you’re not. G: No I know I’m not, but I just can’t believe I’m even saying this, but it’s…but I’m telling you I’m there, I looked down and… M: We’ll get some answers for that. G: I can’t believe what I’ve just seen. M: You’re doing really well. It’s a big step for you, you’re doing really well. Just allow yourself to go back, you want answers, and you want to understand, and you need to understand what happened. Did you feel yourself actually in that physical body? Did you feel that you were literally… G: Looking at myself? M: Yes. G: Yes I did. But I got such a shock when I realised I was looking at myself. ‘Cause it had to be me, it wasn’t me looking at someone behind me or in front of me. M: Yeah. So you’re seeing yourself in your non-human form. G: Ah ok. Ok…ok. Errr…I can, it seems to me that when I’m in a certain place I can talk to him bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, but when I’m kind of not there I can’t, and when I try to ask him something now… M: Mmm. Well you’re just bringing yourself back into that place, pulling yourself into that frequency again. Reach in. You can do this. G: Uh? M: One, two, three, reach in. G: I’ll ask him why I got scared. Kinda know, I kinda know why, but I’ll ask him. M: Go into that space again. One, two, three, you’re back into that space again. Why did you get scared? G: Do you want me to say it, what I got? M: Yeah. ____________________________________________________ M: Can we ask now if you can release that finally from inside you? G: I need to clarify this. M: Ok. G: I’m going to go in there and ask. So what I’m really asking is what was I scared of? M: Mmm. (End of recording, regression ended soon afterwards) Mary Rodwell’s opinions of George and his regression: Mary has worked as a counsellor for 22 years and is very good at judging people’s physical and mental health. She says George is intelligent, articulate and mentally sound. She believes his experiences to be genuine. He has spoke of many things which are patterns of contact, some of which are obscure and which he would not be aware of, even if he had looked into the subject before. Mary believes that knowledge of the subject actually clarifies the contactee’s own experiences, rather than causes them to fabricate stories that haven’t taken place. The markings on his body (see later), contact with beings, premonitions and other experiences are all signs that he is experiencing this for real. She could see that George, as with many of her other clients, almost wished that the regression would prove the experiences had a normal explanation. She was highly impressed with George’ s emotional response to what he was remembering under the regression, and believes that this lends a lot of weight to it being real, if it was a fantasy he would not have reacted in the way in which he did. As for the various apparitions and spirit-like phenomena that George has experienced, Mary says this is a common factor in contactee cases, she believes they sometimes become more aware of other dimensions, the “unseen” world. George’ s opinions on his regression: The regression affected George greatly and was a life-changing event for him. He was very shocked by some of the revelations that came out of it. Since it he has become more aware that he may have been an extraterrestrial contactee for most of his life. It has opened his eyes to the possibilities and given reason behind many of his experiences. He still has many reservations about believing that everything he discussed in the regression actually took place, and likes to keep a very open mind. The fear and anxiousness he felt after speaking with Stan about his Grey being sighting completely vanished after the regression. Little Guy Soon after the dream in July, George started having visions of a smiling Grey-type being in his mind. The vision has appeared at random times throughout the day-time as well as night. The beings skin is light grey with a slight bluish tinge. It has a large rounded cranium, high cheeks and a face which tapers off into a rounded chin. Its eyes are not black but white with pale grey iris and pupils. George is adamant that it is a completely different being to the one he saw in the dream. The being is always smiling when it appears. It has no lips, and off-white coloured pointed teeth. Sometimes the being is facing him and other times looking over its shoulder at him. George refers to the being as “Little Guy”. He isn’t frightened by the being, and feels that he is playful and joyous. 📷 When Little Guy appears, George is always drawn to the facial features of the being, and does not really notice the surroundings. However he can see that these surroundings are in darkness. He sometimes feels that the being may be trying to lead him somewhere, which would explain why it is sometimes facing away from him. George is unaware if any communication with this being has taken place. He wonders if it is communicating with him at night, and the vision is recollections of this interaction. George is emotional when he thinks of the being, and is sure that there is something more to it that he doesn’t yet realise. He is also sure that the being he sees is real and not just his imagination. Memories Since the regression George has started to remember incidents and dreams from his past that are relevant to what was uncovered in the regression. He remembers having “dreams” of the craft interior with the row of seats and window looking out to the stars on numerous occasions during his earlier years. Were these recollections of experiences that took place, or could they have been actual experiences he is now starting to remember? George also remembers one or more incidents linked with the middle bedroom of the house he used to live in. This room he mentioned under regression regarding the beings putting the needle into his ear. He recalls being in this room as a child and staring out of the window at the moon, yet it seemed to be closer and larger than it should have appeared. Could this be memories of seeing something else entirely – an extraterrestrial craft come to check up on him? Back in 1984 George watched the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey on TV. He remembers being fascinated by it for some reason. After seeing it he rented and copied a version of it and then proceeded to watch it again and again for over a year. He could not understand why he felt so drawn to it, but could it have been because of its concepts about the origins of life? Alternatively George says it may have been the music. Final Thoughts As you can see, this is a fascinating and highly detailed case. It seems that George is a genuine extraterrestrial contactee. Many of the things he has experienced fit in with other contact cases, including others I have personally investigated. George is very sincere and has nothing to gain from making up his experiences. At the moment he is still on a journey of discovery, and has not yet fully come to terms with what he is and how extraterrestrial contact has changed his life. George is very brave in coming forward with this information, we should all be grateful that he is willing to share such personal experiences with those who choose to listen. I am certain there are other experiences he is not yet aware of, hopefully in time these will come to the surface. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 06/10/2009 Worthing is a small sea-front town in Sussex, on the South coast of England. It has a long shingle beach that runs right along the town. My friend Chris Black used to live in Worthing. When he found out I now investigate UFOs he informed me of a very interesting sighting he had back in 2003. Sighting Details Back in November 2003, Chris was 18 years old. One night he was sitting on the beach alone, close to Worthing pier, looking out to sea. It was about 11pm and a clear but breezy night, the winter chill had just begun to appear. There was not much cloud cover and the stars were out. Not many people stay out late in Worthing, especially during the winter months, so there was no-one else down the beach. Aerial photo showing approximate position of witness: 📷 Chris was watching the waves when he suddenly spotted what he initially thought was an aeroplane. However he quickly realised it was not. He saw what looked like a large black triangular object with rounded edges and a constant bright light at each corner – one red, one green and one blue. He could clearly see that the object was solid and blocking out the stars in the night sky. The object appeared to be quite large in size, certainly bigger than a passenger jet. It was quite high up in the sky, Chris estimates about 30000 feet. The object was to the South directly out to sea, and appeared to be within a few miles of his position. Witness drawing of the object: 📷 The object was completely stationary which looked extremely strange to Chris. He watched it for 5-10 minutes and then suddenly it began slowly moving. He believes it was ascending but also moving towards his position, it was certainly moving up in the sky from his viewpoint. He watched it do this for a number of minutes and then suddenly without warning all the lights went out and the object completely vanished! Chris could not explain what he had seen at all. He personally believed it to be an extraterrestrial craft of some type, and this opinion has not changed over the years. Ever since the sighting he has had a recurring dream of seeing it, which tends to suggest that the sighting made an impression on him. Sighting Analysis This is a very interesting sighting for a number of reasons. The appearance, apparent size of the object, and the fact that it could remain stationary for a length of time, suggests it clearly wasn’t a normal aircraft. There are no military bases anywhere in the vicinity so it is unlikely to have been a military aircraft, known or secret. If the object was some sort of balloon or inflatable, surely it would have drifted in the breeze, yet it remained still for up to ten minutes. Also how did the object vanish without trace? Chris says he was sure that it disappeared suddenly and not just moved out of his sight range. The object is far to unusual to have been caused by natural phenomena such as earth lights, and it was out to sea so this particular explanation is not valid for this reason alone. There have been many UFO sightings reporting black triangular shaped craft with a light at each corner before. Could this be a genuine sighting of one of these craft? Chris is completely trustworthy and I have no doubt he saw what he says he did. Chris has not had any other sightings of UFOs, however he believes he has a sixth sense and has seen ghostly apparitions on a number of occasions. I do not believe that this sighting has anything to do with these other experiences he has had, but depending on how you view ghosts you may think otherwise. 4th October 2009 Related Dream On Sunday 4th October 2009, Chris had a very unusual and vivid dream that was directly linked to his 2003 UFO sighting. The dream began with him looking down at a planet very much like the Earth, with seas and land masses. All of a sudden he started descending through the atmosphere at a very fast speed. He could not see himself, or feel the wind rushing against him, it was just a point of view. As he got closer to one of the land masses, he at first assumed it was America but then realised the shape was wrong. 📷 He got closer and closer to the ground, and could then make out a huge triangular shaped indentation in the ground. He reached ground level and then stopped on the spot. He was now looking at this giant indentation from one of it’s edges. 📷 His viewpoint panned round and he could make out a crowd of strange creatures all around. They looked like a cross between a winged insect and a motorbike, but were completely organic, like the wheels were part of themselves. Their torso’s and heads looked very like that of a wasp and they had long wings folded along their backs. The creatures were milling around and chittering to each other. Chris got the feeling that they were saying to him “We’re here” but he could not directly understand them. 📷 The viewpoint turned back to the indentation and he could now see a giant black-coloured craft, identical to the one he had seen back in 2003, although much bigger in size. From the side it looked almost saucer shaped but he knew that from above it was a rounded triangular shape. 📷 He then began moving around the side of the craft, and could make out a mountain-side with what looked like a carved tunnel entrance. He began moving towards this entrance, the creatures rolling along either side of him. He entered the hole in the mountain-side and found it was a huge underground tunnel system. The walls looked very organic rather than like those of a natural cave. 📷 He moved down the main tunnel and could see various rooms coming off it. One of these compartments he went down into. In it he saw a row of the insectoid creatures. They were standing very still and appeared to be listening to something or someone, although he himself heard nothing. Moving back out of the compartment his viewpoint continued around the underground tunnels, almost as if he was been given a tour around it. The dream was abruptly ended by his alarm clock going off. When he awoke Chris remembered the dream in very precice detail, more so than he would usually do. Soon afterwards he sketched out the various drawings shown here. He wonders if there is some meaning behind it. Could it be linked in some way to his UFO sighting years ago? Or did he just come up with the dream because he had been questioned about his sighting relatively recently? The creatures he saw are very interesting. Chris has a phobia of insects and also is a biker so could this have been the reason behind their appearance? Either way, he did not get any feeling of fear from them, instead he felt that they were friendly and was not scared of them at all. If this was more than just a dream, were the creatures in it not showing their true appearance? Many contactees have reported seeing beings in the form of animals, often insects. Chris does not believe that he has been abducted and has experienced no other unusual things regarding either this dream or his sighting. However there is still the possibility so we should not entirely dismiss it. This is certainly an interesting dream, but we cannot currently say whether it is significant or not. Birmingham UFO Group Report Rachel lives in Brighton and over the years has had some very interesting experiences. I met her at the International Irish UFO conference where I lectured in October 2009, and she let me know it would be fine to investigate and write up a report on these experiences. These will each be covered in separate sections. July 1967 Father’s UFO Incident Back in 1967 when Rachel was 14, she lived with her father Frank on Pier Avenue, Herne Bay, Kent. Frank had served in the Second World War and took early retirement at 53. They had a pet dog at the time named Painter. Her father was a very fit man and every evening liked to take Painter out for a long walk across Herne Bay golf course near to where they lived. He would usually set off around 6.00 pm and not come back till 7.30-8.00pm. The route to the golf course would take him past the nearby railyway station, via a tunnel under the tracks. One evening towards the end of July he set out on an evening walk much like usual. Rachel remembers the weather was good and there was a clear blue sky. Map showing location of Pier Avenue and Herne Bay Golf Course: 📷 Her father and the dog had been gone about half an hour, when suddenly he returned home. He let himself in and when Rachel saw him she was shocked by how both he and the dog looked. He was red faced and sweating, his eyes were bulging and his hair was messy. The dog was panting and looked to be completely out of breath with its tongue hanging right out. He walked past her and went into the lounge and collapsed into the armchair. The dog went to the middle of the lounge and collapsed on its side on the floor. Rachel asked her father what had happened and he said to her “I’ve just seen a UFO over the golf course but I’ve forgotten about it”. Rachel quizzed him about the statement but couldn’t get any more information out of him. Soon afterwards he took himself up to bed, despite the fact it was still early evening. Herne Bay Golf Course: 📷 Frank would regularly get up at 6am but the following morning he was late getting up. When he finally did come downstairs, Rachel asked him why he was up so late. He turned away from her and lifted his top up. Across one side of his back was a red blistered rash. When she asked him about it she found he could not remember going out to the golf course at all, and had no recollection of anything that had happened the previous evening. Soon afterwards, Frank went to the doctor’s. Rachel does not remember what her father told her when he returned, but assumes that the doctor could not identify the cause. Several days later, Rachel remembers reading an article in the local newspaper that said that many people had contacted the police and said that they saw a large silver coloured cigar-shaped object hovering over Herne Bay Golf Course on the same evening as the incident had taken place. When she showed her father the article he just said it was a load of rubbish. Rachel wishes she had kept this article at the time. Years later when she had more of an interest in the subject of UFOs, she attempted to find the article but was not able to track it down. Since the incident till the end of his life, Frank would never entertain the notion that he had been in close proximity with a UFO and put the rash down to natural causes. However, despite not having an interest in the subject at all, her father would occasionally come out with unusual questions about the universe and whether other races existed elsewhere. He only did this after the incident, never before. Also for the rest of his life, he was highly emotional and would get angry very easily. This shift in his personality seemed to be directly related to what had taken place. July 2005 UFO Sighting In 2005 Rachel was now living in her flat on John Street, Brighton. The flat is on the side of a hill and from it she has a great view over the valley in which Brighton has been built up. In recent years she has had health issues with her joints, which often cause her a lot of pain. One Wednesday evening in July she was in agony so decided to go to bed at 9pm to sleep it off. Map showing location of John Street: 📷 She awoke at 11.45pm and went to get a drink. She decided to open the living room window. When she looked out of the window she was greet ed by an amazing sight. She saw what looked like a large orange sphere in the sky to the North West. It had a small black circle in the middle of it and was glowing, but not brightly. Rachel estimates it was at least 50 feet across, and from her viewpoint looked as big as the sun does. The object was about 1000 feet high and below the cloud layer. It was moving on a direct course in a South Easterly direction, not extremely fast, but fast enough to appear powered. Drawing of the object based on witness description: 📷 As she watched the object suddenly came to a halt. After several seconds it then moved to the right a short distance. It then moved back to it’s original position and remained still again. A few seconds later it continued moving on it’s original course. Rachel briefly lost sight of it behind another block of flats and then it reappeared from the other side, proving that it was far away from her and not a small object in close proximity. She continued to watch, captivated by the object. Suddenly it changed course and moved straight upwards, a bit faster than it had been moving beforehand. It was soon lost in the cloud and Rachel did not see the object again. Rachel felt that the object had appeared to be looking for something. Looking back at the incident she feels it was an unusual craft of some kind, perhaps inter-dimensional, and definitely under intelligent control. A very unusual aspect of the sighting is that when she thinks back to it she sees it in daylight, but it was 11.45pm at night so the sky must really have been dark. Does this perhaps suggest that there was bright light coming from the object at the time? Or could it be that she was so transfixed on the object she did not notice the surroundings? There have been a number of other UFO and crop formation sightings where this same thing has been reported. The apparent size of the object, and the interesting movement patterns seen, certainly tend to dismiss the possibility the object was a balloon, inflatable or Chinese lantern. Rachel is well aware of what Chinese lanterns look like after dark. Obviously it could not have been a meteorite and it seems unlikely an Earth Light would be the cause as these do not tend to appear over urban areas. It is also unlikely it was some sort of secret military craft due to its appearance - and why would they fly it right over Brighton in direct view of everyone? This seems to be a genuine sighting of a highly unusual and controlled object. Orange Orb Sightings In recent years, Chinese lanterns have become very popular in Brighton and are often seen being launched on the sea front. Rachel is sure that some of the UFO sightings reported in the area have been down to these. However on four different occasions while out walking, she has seen orange orbs of light appear a couple of miles out to sea. These orbs have also seemed to appear from nowhere about 500 feet up in the sky rather than right down at sea level. They then move upward, moving around each other, until they fade and are lost from sight. On one particular occasion, they appeared to be moving in a South Easterly direction even though the wind was blowing to the South West at the time. Brighton sea front: 📷 It is most likely that these are Chinese lanterns, perhaps being launched from party cruise boats. They may drift towards the coast and when first launched are too far away to be visible but then seem to suddenly appear. This is just a theory, but it seems a good possibility given the appearance of the orbs, their movement patterns and the popularity of lanterns in the area. The ones which appeared to be heading in a different direction to the wind could have been caught in a different air current further out to sea, due to the distance that they were being viewed from this cannot be ruled out. Local newspapers and the airport have commented on the orange orbs numerous times, and although many of the sightings reported are probably caused by lanterns, there are certainly other UFO sightings around Brighton which remain unexplained. Conclusion As you can see, Rachel has had some fascinating experiences, both directly and indirectly through her father. She is sincere about these incidents and they have certainly contributed towards her beliefs in the UFO phenomenon. After speaking with Rachel numerous times I have no doubt she is telling me the truth about her experiences. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 10/10/2009 Witnesses Colin & Ruth have been lucky enough to experience several UFO incidents since July 2008 to October 2009. This report will cover each of these sightings in detail in seperate sections. 26TH JULY 2008 SIGHTING It is impressive enough when a witness reports seeing a single UFO. But when many UFOs are seen by multiple witnesses from different parts of the UK on the same night, we should definitely sit up and take notice. The fleets of glowing orange UFOs seen on the evening of Saturday 26th July 2008 were reported by numerous individuals and appeared in newspapers around the UK. This report will concentrate mostly on what the witnesses Colin and Ruth from Northampton experienced, however it also features details on other related sightings and newspaper articles. Sighting Details It was around 10pm at night. Ruth was in the back garden of their house on Whiteland Road, relaxing on the patio. It was a clear evening with patchy cloud but completely still and silent. The sun was starting to set but there was still light in the sky. Colin arrived home and went about putting his motorbike away. Ruth was staring at the sky when suddenly she noticed what looked like a very bright orange orb of light coming from the South West. It seemed to be travelling quite fast and was on a straight path in a North Easterly direction. The light had an irregular pulse to it, occasionally dimming before becoming brighter again. She called Colin who came out to join her on the patio. As the glowing orb got closer they could start to make out details of the object behind the light, and as it started to move away the light seemed to dim and they could make out what looked like a black arrow-head shaped craft, although the exact shape of the tail end was hard to distinguish. The orange glow came from a central light in the middle of the underside of the object. At no point did they hear any sound from it. It continued to travel in the same direction and velocity until it was out of sight. The witnesses estimate it was visible in the sky for about 40 seconds, so must have been travelling at quite a speed. They believe the object was about the same size as a military jet and was less than a thousand foot up, flying below the clouds. About five minutes later another similar object appeared in the distance and once more flew North East on the same path. From then on the objects started to appear roughly every couple of minutes. Some were grouped, some individual. They each travelled in the same straight path. The lights on some of them dimmed as they approached, others stayed bright and could still be visible lighting up the far horizon in a dull red glow. However the seventh object suddenly began to change its course and curved off away from where the other objects were travelling. It looked like it was over the area of the Pitsford Reservoir. The orange light on it was still glowing brightly obscuring its shape. It slowed down and came to a halt. Suddenly what looked like bright sparks shot out of the top of it, and then it dropped straight downward to the ground! After this more objects continued to appear but did not veer off their path. Colin had his mobile phone on him but decided not to take any photographs as he believed they would not come out clearly enough. They called Ruth’s son out, who also saw at least one of the objects before heading back into the house. The final object that the witnesses saw moved on a different path to the majority of the others, and instead came right over their house. Colin felt like it was aware it was being watched and had come over to check them out. As it passed overhead its shape was hidden by the brightness of the orange pulsating light emanating from it. The witnesses watched the objects for around 20-25 minutes in total. He then decided to ring Northampton police. Both he and Ruth were concerned because of the one object which appeared to have crash landed. The lady who he spoke to confirmed that other witnesses in the local area had reported the same objects and that officers had already been sent out to investigate. She then put him on hold a minute. When she came back on the line she started to ask him really detailed questions about the objects they had seen, including what shape the craft were, the lighting configurations on them and direction they were heading in. Colin found this to be a little unusual. The next morning they decided to contact the Northampton Chronicle & Echo newspaper to report their sighting. They were informed by the paper that other people had also contacted them about the objects, and were asked to send details in an E-Mail. Later they discovered that there had been numerous other sightings in different parts of the UK on the same night including the South coast and up in Scotland. Also orange lights in the sky had been seen on previous dates around the area of Northampton. A couple of weeks later Colin was speaking to his barber who lives in Brixworth, close to the Pitsford Reservoir. He informed Colin that numerous roads in the area were mysteriously closed off just on that particular night, with no explanation given. Did the officers find the object which had fallen to the ground, and had some sort of clean up operation taken place? It mentions numerous other witnesses to the same UFOs: Mystery lights spotted in sky Published Date: 29 July 2008 Mystery surrounds the identity of 10 orange lights seen in the sky above Northampton on Saturday night. A number of people called Northamptonshire Police after watching the strange lights, which reportedly moved across the sky, with one of the lights then exploding. Alun Bye, from Spinney Hill, Northampton, said: "They appeared to rise from Kingsthorpe and go towards Milton Keynes at about 10pm. "At first they looked like stars but got bigger. I thought they could have been balloons, but they had no baskets and were noiseless." Mr Bye attributed the lights he saw to night flights at the model helicopter convention held at the University of Northampton at the weekend. Organiser Jeff Barringer said helicopter flights had stopped at 9.20pm although he added the lights could be "linked" to the convention. Other sightings were also made in Spinney Hill and in The Headlands area of Northampton, with eyewitnesses describing the lights as being present until about 10.30pm. Colin Bicknell said: "These craft were very bright balls of pulsing orange light. They had no other lights at all. These craft were totally silent and the one that exploded made no sound either." Headlands resident Mark Edwards said he noticed the light "quite high up" with no noise coming from it. He added: "It moved quite quickly to the south then disappeared behind clouds. Then about two minutes later another one appeared and did exactly the same, this was followed by one more straight after." Janet Stawarz, from Spinney Hill, described seeing 12 lights in the sky, which she said "seemed to be on the same pathway, like they were just following one another". Bob Pinckard, also from The Headlands, said he was left "completely confused" after spotting the lights. A spokesman for the Ministry of Defence (MOD) said: "The MOD examines reports solely to establish whether United Kingdom airspace may have been compromised by hostile or unauthorised military activity. Unless there is evidence of a potential threat, there is no attempt to identify the nature of each sighting reported." The Chron was also contacted by people living across the UK who spotted similar lights on Saturday, following previous articles about unidentified lights in the sky. Reports came in from East Yorkshire and Scotland. The next article is from the same newspaper from a fortnight before, and seems to describe similar or the same objects over Northampton: Bright orange lights in sky evidence of UFOs? Published Date: 15 July 2008 Panicked residents of Northampton say they are now believers in UFOs after capturing eerie soundless lights in the sky on video. Heidi Spencer and her partner spotted a cluster of bright lights from their flat in Abington while watching TV on Saturday night. They stood up to investigate only to see one break off and scoot soundlessly across the sky and disappear. Mrs Spencer said: "They were bright orange and moved quite steadily from the north west and went off to the south. We lost sight of them in the clouds. When I looked back the other one had gone. We managed to get a video of it on my phone but I was pretty freaked out all night." Mrs Spencer was not the only one who spotted the unexplained lights above the town. Elaine Byrne, of Park Avenue North, Abington and her 18-year-old daughter also saw some of the lights from their bathroom window at about midnight. She said: "I saw a brilliant orange light in the sky. It was not far at all from us. "I shouted to my daughter so she could witness it and we watched it before it went over us. I went to the other window to follow it then my daughter shouted to me that another one was there. It was strange." Other readers as far away as Earls Barton also saw the lights on Saturday but no one has yet offered a feasible explanation. However, worried Northamptonians may be comforted by the fact that the Ministry of Defence, which collects data on sightings, said no reports of a UFO had been recorded and deemed them no threat to national security. A spokesman said: "The MoD examines reports solely to establish whether UK airspace may have been compromised by hostile or unauthorised military activity. Unless there is evidence of a potential threat, there is no attempt to identify the nature of each sighting reported." Two months before Colin and Ruth had their sighting, flights of orange glowing UFOs had already been reported in the area, as this article shows: 27 UFOs 'seen over Northamptonshire' in 10 years Published Date: 14 May 2008 Written records detailing reported sightings of unidentified flying objects in Northamptonshire have been released by the Ministry of Defence. The MoD official files keep a record of UFO sightings to check on unauthorised military activity and are investigated by air defence experts. The records suggest parts of Northamptonshire could be a hotspot for UFO reports with four sightings recorded in the county last year in the Kettering and Rothwell area and Cold Ashby. The description of the reported UFO on March 7 at Cold Ashby referred to "joined lights suddenly moving independently and erratically." Lenny Archer, 48, from Ecton Brook, also saw bright orange lights in February and said the sight put doubts in his mind over extra-terrestrials. Mr Archer, a landscape gardener, said: "I was surprised to see it because first of all we saw the one orange light and then we saw several more coming behind it in 20 to 30 second intervals that shot up and then disappeared. It could have been army training but the lights were an orange colour. I've seen nothing since and I'd seen a few things before but put them down to shooting stars." Since 1998, there have been 27 reported sightings in Northamptonshire. An MoD statement said: "Unless there is evidence of a potential threat, no further work is undertaken to identify the nature of each sighting reported. Conclusion Both Colin and Ruth are convinced that what they witnessed that night was something truly unexplained. They believe that the objects were definitely controlled craft of some kind, and personally think that they were top secret military aircraft which were all heading somewhere in a hurry for unknown reasons. Certainly, aspects of this case seem very hard to explain. As soon as groups of orange lights are witnessed, we should always take the lanterns theory into account. Chinese lanterns have been responsible for many UFO sightings over recent years, and generally appear as glowing orange spheres of light that drift in patterns. Occasionally they can even catch alight and fall from the sky like a fireball. Some of the previous sightings in the Northampton area may well have been lanterns. However, with this particular incident we can discount this theory for numerous reasons. Firstly the witnesses saw solid craft behind the lights, they only appeared as orange orbs when in the distance. The majority of the objects flew in the same straight path heading to the horizon. This would seem to be too uniform and controlled, lanterns tend to drift randomly or appear to create formations. Also it was a completely still night, there was no wind at all, and it would have required quite a strong breeze for the objects to have been blown right across the sky in the same direction. When I put the lanterns theory to the witnesses, they were adamant that the objects were much too large and too controlled to have been these. Also the speed that the objects were moving at certainly looked like they were being powered. If we discount the lanterns theory because of these various reasons, what else could the objects have possibly been? It is unlikely that they were radio controlled models, there were far too many of them and again looked much too large. They also seemed far too uniform to have been balloons of some kind. So we can assume that the objects were craft, though whether alien or military it is impossible to say. There are numerous USAF bases in the local area, Colin speculates that maybe the objects were covert craft from one of these. The road closure in the area where Colin and Ruth believe the object came down is interesting. It is unlikely to have been road works as apparently the roads were only closed for that one night and then re-opened as normal. Maybe the object was located and people were called in to clear it up. However this is just a theory, there is no other evidence pointing towards this. It does stand to reason though that something landed on the ground. If the objects were solid craft as they appeared to be, then it is unlikely it would have completely burnt up in the air. The fact that these fleets of objects were seen in different locations around the UK on the same night once again points towards them being craft rather than anything else. The question remains – were they the same objects or completely different ones? It is more likely that they were different groups, otherwise there would have been many more sightings right up and down the country. Surely these objects would have been picked up on radar or attracted the attention of the military? Unless the military already knew exactly what they were. Colin and Ruth certainly seem to be two of many witnesses of a major event of some kind. Hopefully one day we will get to the bottom of what actually took place. Further sightings may well occur in the area, we will have to wait and see. 15TH AUGUST 2008 SIGHTING The couple had another sighting of an unexplained object a month later during the Northampton Hot Air Balloon Festival. They went over this sighting with me in detail when I met them in early December 2008. The yearly Northampton Balloon Festival takes place over the 3rd weekend of August, which this year was the 15th-17th. It was about 6pm-6.30pm on the first evening of the festival. The balloons pass right over the witnesses’ house on Whiteland Road, so every year they spend time outside watching them. This year was no exception and they were out on the back patio. It was a sunny clear day with a blue sky and very little cloud. Colin was looking to the North in the direction that the balloons come from awaiting the next one. He suddenly noticed an unusual object hovering still in the sky. It looked like a dark grey sphere a few metres in diameter. He estimates it was around 600 foot high. The object was making no sound and did not have any markings or lighting on it. He had not seen this sphere approach from anywhere it was just suddenly there in the sky. But the most unusual thing of all was that he didn’t seem to be able to fully focus on it. He believed it to be a solid object but couldn’t seem to lock his eyes on it, almost as if it had some kind of aura around it or was constantly moving. Colin pointed it out to Ruth. At first she couldn’t see it in the sky but then she located it. When she saw it, it appeared to be moving slowly away from them to their right. She too noticed that it was impossible to focus on the object fully. Less than a minute later the sphere vanished completely from their sight. They were mystified by what they had seen, and were convinced that it was not a balloon of any kind. Map of sighting location: 📷 Drawing of UFO: 📷 As the sighting took place in the middle of a balloon festival, some may dismiss it outright and claim that it was simply mis-identification. But if it was a balloon, why did the witnesses neither see it appear from far away or drift away to the horizon? It was visible to them for under a minute and during this time it was either stationary or moving very slowly. It seems unlikely that it was obscured by cloud as it was a very clear day and it seemed to be to low in the sky for that to happen. It was also too small to be a hot air balloon. There have been numerous UFO sightings reported where the craft displayed some sort of aura or distortion effect around it, including the infamous Rendlesham Forest incident. Could this have accounted for the fact the witnesses could not focus on the object directly? Colin suggests it could have been caused by continuous movement or vibration of the object. The witnesses believe that what they saw was some kind of covert reconnaissance probe craft, military or otherwise. Without further reported sightings of the object, we cannot progress much further with this particular case. However the witnesses did mention that their son had seen a similar grey sphere in the sky the previous year. Could this have been a similar object, or even the same one appearing on a previous occasion? 3RD OCTOBER 2009 SIGHTING On the evening of Saturday 3rd October 2009 Colin and Ruth went to a bike club birthday party. The party was held at The Rose and Crown pub on Alcester Road, Portway, Birmingham. Between 8.30-9.00pm they both went back outside to the car park to get something from the car. It was awarm and clear night, with only a little cloud in the sky, and the moon and stars visible. There was only a slight breeze. While Ruth looked in the car, Colin stood next to it looking up at the night sky. The Rose and Crown pub: 📷 He was staring to the North West in the direction of Birmingham looking at the lights of a commercial airliner at high altitude. Suddenly from behind and to the left of him came two solid very bright red lights which were in close proximity to one another, flying in a North North Westerly direction. They were a constant brightness, and Colin was not aware whether they were two lights on a single object or two separate objects. The lights were moving at an extremely fast speed, and moved right across the sky in only several seconds! Colin says if he had not been looking at that part of the sky that particular moment he would not have seen the lights at all. He believes they were at low altitude, roughly 200 feet high. As he watched, the lights appeared to jump erratically side to side on their straight flight path. Throughout the sighting the two lights kept the same distance from each other. The strange way that the lights seem to erratically jump means that most mundane explanations do not fit what was seen. They were moving far too fast to be a normal aircraft, balloons or lanterns, and were completely silent. There was very little wind, so the speed of the objects suggests they were powered rather tan drifting. The colour and the fact that two lights were seen means it is very unlikely to have been a meteorite. Also they were on a level flight path and did not appear to be descending. If it was a secret military craft of some kind, why would they be flying over a populated area and towards Birmingham centre, this explanation would seem illogical. If the object/objects really were extraterrestrial craft, could the erratic jumping have been caused by the propulsion system? I have read and investigated numerous sightings before which have reported similar behaviour. When Bob Lazar described the recovered alien craft he had seen test flown at Area 51, he mentioned that hese craft can appear to make strange jumping movements or sudden changes of direction, and that this is an optical illusion caused by the anti-gravitational forces employed around them. This certainly seems like a possibility here and should not be dismissed, wther or not you believe Lazar’s claims. Due to the various factors in this sighting – the appearance, very fast speed, lack of sound and movement patterns observed I believe that this was something completely out of the ordinary.
