Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 04/06/2009 Last Updated: 27/09/2024   Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used Occassionally BUFOG gets contacted by someone from much further afield than Birmingham. As our website is active and can be easily found on the internet, we are sometimes the first point of call for witnesses from elsewhere in the world. On 20th May, "Melissa" sent a couple of UFO photographs to BUFOG for analysis.   The photographs were taken at 3.51pm on 7th May 2009 on Highway 401 close to the Dixon Road exit, Toronto, Canada.   The traffic was slow so Melissa decided to take some photographs of a jet plane taking off. It was a cloudy day but quite bright. She did not notice anything out of the ordinary at the time. Upon developing the photographs later, a couple of them showed an unusual black object. The photographs were taken only a second apart, and in previous ones nothing could be seen at all. Below is the first photograph showing the object:   Zoom view of the object: Zoom view of the second photograph showing the change in position of the aircraft in relation to the object: The witness feels sure that the object is something unexplained rather than mundane. She believes this because of the speed that the object moved at, it appeared to cover a great distance in only a second. Also it was not present in the previous photographs at all. The object in the second photograph is half the size that it is in the first.   After analysing the photographs I personally believe that they show a bird in flight. Melissa disagrees with this explanation, stating "If you look at the photographs closely, the plane hardly moved within two frames (you can see this by looking at it in relation to the highway sign), whereas the object moved a massive distance during the same two frames (1 second). The previous photographs of the plane (which were taken seconds earlier) do not contain the object at all." I feel that the reason the object moved such a distance across the photograph is because it was quite close to the camera. I believe that it flew in from the left of the camera diagonally away from the position of the witness. This would explain why it is not present in the previous photos, and also why it reduced in size between the photographs. The shape of the object certainly fits in with it being a bird. It is unsymmetrical with no straight edges. It is interesting that both photographs show a similar shape but I believe that the witness managed to catch two photos of the bird with it’s wings in front of it’s body which is why they are not visible. Below is a photograph of a seagull, which indicates how birds can sometimes look like disc-shaped craft. You can see the similarity in the shape with what Melissa has photographed:   It is of course impossible to say for definite, but it seems probable that in this instance the object photographed was a bird flying into the camera shot for a couple of frames.           Copyright Dave Hodrien 2024

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Year: 2009 Last Updated: 23/09/2024   Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used and location details have been omitted   Early Screen Memories   “Mark” has experienced contact since an early age in the form of visitations which would occur in his bedroom at night. However he recalled saw the beings present in these experiences in the form of hedgehogs.   It is common for the beings involved in contact to utilize what is commonly referred to as screen memories. This is where they appear to mask their own appearance, or sometimes the appearance of their craft. The beings can appear in a variety of forms, including animals of various types. It appears particularly prevalent in childhood, just as Mark reports.   Reptilian Visitation   In 1992 when Mark was 12 years old his mother took him to see a child psychologist. She was worried about his fears of the dark and of going to sleep, he was getting bullied at school, and kept talking about the “little blue men” or “the goblins”. Both the psychologist and his mum thought he had an over-active imagination and was just having nightmares.   The discussions with the psychologist and his parents appeared to trigger a vivid flashback to an experience which he believed took place back in 1985 when he was 5 years old. For the first time he was able to remember clearly what had taken place. Prior to the flashback he had a vague recollection of this experience but had assumed it must have been his imagination.   He had gone to bed like usual and was asleep. At some point in the night, he awoke and felt very strange, as if he had been moved around or taken somewhere else in his sleep. He looked around the room and down the surface of his duvet.   Below his feet he could see a lump sticking up. There was something underneath the duvet. Suddenly the lump began moving away from him! He watched it, feeling more intrigued than frightened. Then whatever it was found its way out of the bottom of the duvet at the base of the bed.   As he watched a very short being came out of the shadows and jumped up onto the bed post at his feet. The being was only about 1 ½ foot high. It had blue-grey coloured scaley skin. It’s eyes were yellow with black vertical pupils like a lizard. It had a hole in the side of the head where each ear should be. The being had no clothing on. Its fingers were very like those of a lizard, and he believes it may have had claws. He got the feeling that the being was juvenile.   It was staring directly at him and he was terrified of it. Then it grinned at him, opening its mouth a little to expose short pointy teeth. It was at this point that he began to scream out for his parents. He heard his dad exclaim “Oh no, not again” . He then heard his mother start to come upstairs.   As she did so, the being started to shake its arms and legs around. It floated up into the air above the bed post. Mark got the distinct impression that its strange body movements were what was causing it to lift up. It floated across his bedroom over onto the top of the cupboard.   A moment later his mother entered the room and switched the light on. She asked him what the matter was and he explained about the “little blue man” that was in his room. He pointed out the cupboard and asked her to check, but when she did she found nothing. She managed to comfort him and he settled down to sleep, assuming the being had now gone away.   In the morning his mother came in as ever to dress him. When she did she found two unexplained scars on his body. One of them was on his stomach above his navel, the other on his shin. The scars looked like they were already healed and had been done a long time before, but she was certain they had appeared during the night. Mark still has these scars to this day.   When his mother asked him where he got the scars, he told her that they were caused by the little blue man. She appeared mystified but said to him “Be more careful next time” . It would be easy to assume that this meant that she thought he had had an accident. But Mark got a very strange feeling when she said this that she knew more than she was letting on.   Later in the day his friend “Charlie” came round his house to play. They were in his bedroom and decided they would play a game of Buckaroo. The game was in a box on top of the cupboard, so Mark climbed up to get it down. As he did so he smelt a very unusual odour, the strong smell of ammonia. He looked down at the box. There was dust all over the top of it as he had not taken it down in a while. In the dust were two small footprints. They were only 2 ½ inches long by 1 inch wide but looked like small rounded human-like footprints.   Mark knew at once that these had been caused by the small being he had seen the night before. He showed the footprints to Charlie, who mentioned that they could have been caused by his rubber foot-shaped stamp, which he knew Mark owned.   However this stamp was much larger than the footprints so could not have been the cause. He took the box downstairs to his mother to show her. She remarked that the footprints looked like a duck’s. Mark did not remember anything else about the incident at the time.   When he was 16 years old Mark started looking into the UFO and contact subject. One of the books he decided to read was Communion by Whitley Strieber. He immediately knew that this is what he was going through. There were too many similarities and he recognised the beings that were being described and drawn.   This prompted him to find out more information about the incident which occurred when he was 5. He decided to ask people about it to confirm it took place the way he remembered.   He went to his mother and asked her if she remembered any unusual incidents from when he was young. She thought for a long while and then began talking about the incident and confirmed everything. When he asked her about the box she informed him that she had thrown it away as she didn’t want him to be frightened. Mark was upset by this fact as it had been a genuine piece of evidence of what took place.   One lunch-time at school he asked Charlie if he remembered the incident and again his friend confirmed that it had taken place as he recalled it.     Grey Abduction   One evening in December of 1992 he suddenly felt like he wanted to go to bed early. This feeling was inexplicable as he had a fear of going to sleep and would almost always stay up very late at night. Even his mum remarked on how unusual this was.   He headed up the stairs to his bedroom about 9pm. As he did so he suddenly felt dizzy but did not feel tired at all. He also got a ringing sound in his ears. In time he would come to realise that this was a sign he was going to experience something. On other occasions he would hear beeping sounds or clicking noises.   As always Mark left the bedroom door open with light coming through from the landing, as he has always had a fear of the dark, more than likely caused by his experiences. He got into bed and lay down but couldn’t sleep. He began rolling over in bed, and felt very uncomfortable but couldn’t understand why. He would only remain still for up to a minute before having to shift positions.   As he rolled back over from facing the wall, he put his hand down by his side. It came to rest on something out of place – he immediately recognised it as another very cold hand! He closed his eyes tightly not daring to look. He immediately assumed that a burglar had entered his room and come in from outside, which is how he explained the coldness of the hand to himself.   He lay completely still and was absolutely terrified. He moved his hand over the other hand, which he assumed was attached to someone standing right next to his bed. He felt nails on the hand, but the nails seemed to go right over the tips of the fingers. Looking back he is not sure if they were nails or something else like hard pads. He could not tell how many fingers the hand had.   All of a sudden his panic died right down and a great feeling of calm came over him. He then heard his own voice inside his head. The voice said “It’s sleeping and if you don’t move your hand it won’t wake up”  He decided to go along with this and lay extremely still, hoping that whatever it was would think he was asleep and leave him alone.  He then got a strange feeling that the thought had been implanted into his head, and that perhaps it was the being talking about him rather than the other way around.   He continued to lie very still and after a while dropped off to sleep. An unknown amount of time went by and he awoke again.   Looking out into his room he saw two Grey entities standing still next to his bed, one behind the other. They were about 3 ½ feet tall, had pale grey coloured skin, large black almond-shaped eyes and smooth rounded heads. He is not sure if they were wearing any clothing or not, but they had thin featureless bodies with long slender arms. He somehow sensed that the one at the front was feminine and in charge, and the one behind masculine.   Mark was drawn to stare at the being’s faces. As he did so he all of a sudden saw things from an outside perspective and could see himself lying down in bed. He watched as he floated up into the air in between the beings. They then walked alongside him as he floated out of his bedroom to the bathroom window.   Outside the house in the sky was a large saucer shaped craft with a ring of white lights underneath. He floated out of the window and up into this craft, and then the lights began to rotate and it shot directly upwards into the sky at great speed. This is where his vision of what was going on ended. Mark has no recollection of what took place on the craft or how he was returned to his bedroom.   The next morning over breakfast he asked his mother “Did you come into my room last night?” She said she did not, so then he asked his sister the same thing. They told him that he would ask these type of questions all the time, but he did not realise this fact and he was surprised when they told him. This suggests that he had had other similar experiences before which he was not fully aware of.   Many years later his mother informed him that she had had a UFO sighting back in December 1992. When he asked her the details about this incident he was completely shocked.   She told him that she had been in the kitchen about 9.30pm at night. Suddenly she noticed a strange rippling light effect on the wall, much like reflections off water at a swimming baths. She looked around to see where this light was coming from.   When she looked out of the kitchen window, she looked up and saw a saucer-shaped metallic craft with a ring of revolving lights underneath it. The craft was situated above where the bathroom window was. It looked like the whole area of sky was glowing, like a light being switched on. Suddenly the craft suddenly ascended out of sight extremely fast. As it did so, the glowing light also went off and it was dark again.   When Mark heard this story he was amazed. His mother could not be certain of the date when she saw the craft, but he feels certain that she actually witnessed him being taken.   In recent years someone suggested to Mark that the hand he felt may have been his other hand that he could have accidentally been lying on, which would have made it feel numb and cold. However he dismisses this theory as if this were the case, his other hand would have had to have been twisted into a very unusual position and he was sure he was just lying down as normal on his back. He says the fact that the hand was so physical and real to him is confirmation that the event actually happened, and that he certainly was not asleep or just imagining it.   Mark informed me that in 1994 he found a copy of UFO Magazine for sale. He purchased the magazine out of general interest. Later on he came across an article by an experiencer who described feeling a cold hand on her bed, exactly the same as what had happened to him! He was absolutely shocked, this was yet more confirmation to him that it was a real event.   Conclusion   Mark has had some truly fascinating encounters. At present we only have his testimonial evidence to go on, but the very specific details which he provided convinced me he is an authentic experiencer and not fabricating these incidents.   Due to the flashback he has clear memories of the Reptilian visitation, and also has partial recollection of the later abduction experience, but the memories of seeing “hedgehogs” in his room as a child also point towards other experiences he is yet to remember in more depth.   Mark did not discuss any adult experiences with me so it appears his contact only happened as a child, however there is of course the possibility that it has continued but has been completely wiped from his mind. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 10/04/2009 Last Updated: 18/09/2024   Back in 2008, avid photographer Steve who lives in Saint Helens, Lancashire, witnessed two very different sightings of UFOs. Fortunately he managed to capture both of these incidents on camera, and they are both interesting sightings. This report will look at each sighting in turn.   Pink Orb   In May 2008, Steve purchased a zoom lens for his Canon EOS 350D DIGITAL camera. On the afternoon of 13th May he decided to head out to a local beauty spot to take some nature photographs. It was a bright sunny day with a clear blue sky and very little cloud. At 4.13pm he was crossing a brook via a small bridge when he noticed that the moon was also visible, and decided to take a photograph of it on full zoom. Because the lens of his camera did not have an anti-shake mechanism, he put the camera into rapid fire mode in the hope that one or more frames would turn out sharp. As he did not have his tripod with him, he leant on the rail of the bridge to stabilise the camera. He started to fire off a sequence of photographs. While he was doing this, to his amazement, a glowing object giving off a pinkish coloured light appeared to emerge from behind the moon travelling at an incredible speed considering its apparent distance.   The camera buffer filled up very fast and he had to stop taking photographs for several seconds. Suddenly the object vanished without trace. He hurried back home and uploaded the photographs to his PC. They had all turned out blurred apart from the below photo, which luckily managed to catch the mystery object. It is hard to say what the object could have been. There is the possibility it was space debris burning up as it entered the earth’s atmosphere. This would explain why it suddenly vanished. Could it have been a flare or balloon of some kind? Or perhaps it really was something more out of the ordinary, something that was of a large size and out in space. Unless we receive more information we may never know for sure.   Silhouetted UFO   In October of the same year, Steve was taking prolonged exposure photographs of the full moon at night. One evening he was outside playing around with different exposures, trying to find the optimum setting for getting clear photographs using a Canon 350D and Sigma 70 - 300mm lens. The weather was a bit breezy so he had the camera set to multi shot mode and on a tripod for stability. He filmed for about 20 minutes using lots of different settings.   Afterwards he copied the photographs over to his PC to review them. This is when he noticed the strange shape he had caught on one of the sequences of photographs.   Right near the beginning of one of the sequences, it looks like a semi-circular chunk had been taken out of the upper left edge of the moon. This is due to an object obscuring the view. After several frames it moves to near the base of the photograph. Over the next few frames the object moves across the lower right area of the moon’s surface, and takes on the appearance of a number 3.   Steve wonders what the object or objects could have been. He does not know whether or not it was close to the camera or far away out in space. At the time he forgot to do anything with the photographs, but several months later in January 2009 he remembered them and uploaded the sequence to Youtube.   Once again we have a fascinating piece of evidence which is hard to explain. However the shape is so specific that I believe on this occasion the object was probably a number three helium balloon that somebody had let go of, which drifted in the breeze across the camera view. There are not many other objects which would cause this unusual appearance. But we only really have the shape to go on, I cannot say for definite that it was a balloon. Birmingham UFO Group Report Author: Dave Hodrien Originally forwarded by Richard Hall Release Date: 25/08/2011 Last Updated: 17/09/2024   Sighting Details   At 1.15pm on 28th December 2008, UFO & paranormal investigator, radio host and blogger Ben Emlyn-Jones was out on a walk around Headington in Oxford. It was a windy day, cold with broken cloud between which sunlight could be seen. Ben was on the phone to his girlfriend. He turned a corner onto Bulan Road and glanced up at the sky.   As he did so he happened to notice something in the sky to the North West just visible over the roofs of the houses. It looked like a white or pale grey sphere, possibly slightly oval in shape. It was at an angle of 20-25 degrees in the sky. It looked to be at quite high altitude and of considerable size.   Ben immediately noticed that the object was completely stationary despite the fact that it was a windy day. This puzzled him, and he described what he was seeing to his girlfriend. He watched the sphere for several minutes, while beginning to walk along Bulan Road. During this time it did not move at all. It then became obscured by a cloud. He continued to watch for a further 5 minutes until the cloud moved away. At this point Ben saw that the object was no longer visible.   He was convinced that he had witnessed something out of the ordinary. Soon afterwards he mentioned it to his colleagues at the hospital where he works.   Ben decided to make a video covering the sighting in his own words:   http://youtu.be/UomyaCIHK_A   Sighting Analysis   The fact that the object remained stationary for a number of minutes in windy weather conditions is one of the most important aspects of this particular case. If the object was nothing more than a drifting inflatable or balloon then it would surely have moved during this time. If it was a tethered advertising balloon of some kind then it would still have been visible after the cloud it was obscured behind moved away. The fact that it vanished from sight also puts out of the question the idea that it was the moon or a star visible through the atmosphere. Ben is sure that it was solid and not some kind of atmospheric anomaly or light reflection.   Although he found it hard to accurately judge the objects size and height, he says it must have been quite large as it was high enough to be obscured by the cloud, and was at an angle of 20-25 degrees. A small object would not have been visible under these conditions.   It appears that it was some kind of controlled object, or something that was not affected by the wind around it. Spheres are one of the more commonly reported UFO types, and it is entirely possible that it was one of these that Ben saw. They are usually metallic silver in colour, but perhaps the object was metallic and was reflecting either the clouds or the sunlight, making it appear white or pale grey in colour. It is unlikely to have been a military drone, these tend to have visible propellers or other apparatus, and there would be no reason for them to fly a drone in the skies over Oxford. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Year: 2009 Last Updated: 13/09/2024 Field Incident Analysis The lights witnessed in the field by Simon and Butch were very strange indeed. Firstly the twisting and boomeranging movements observed would immediately discount the majority of alternative explanations. The lights were definitely in the field and not further away because the road that runs behind the field is on a raised bank, and they could be seen lower down than this so must have been closer. Occasionally cars drive along the road, but their lights look just as you would expect them too – white small points of light that pass behind the hedgerow across the field. It is unfeasible that Simon mistook this for what was observed. The lights were not coming from clear points like people waving torches around, they flowed and shimmered. Simon found it very difficult to describe what he saw, but he compared it to sunlight reflecting off water. There were red and blue tinges to the lights observed, he found it very tough to state exactly what colour they were. The bar of white light with red at each end left a trail of light behind it and flew on an erratic path, and was only visible for a couple of seconds. If we do assume that the lights were caused by something out of the ordinary, they could possibly have been caused by energy surrounding another object which was out of sight in the dip of the field. This could possibly explain the unusual effects that were observed. The orange orb also present at the time was positioned in front or inside of the trees that run along the left side of the field. Again its appearance and movement patterns are very hard to explain. Its colour does not fit with it being a helicopter, and if it was it would not have been down below the height of the trees. Also it was a very still evening and absolutely silent. When we headed to the field on the 5th of January it was again extremely quiet, and it was possible to make out the sound of aircraft from very far away. If the orange orb was a helicopter, Simon would certainly have been able to hear it. When the object did move from its position, its movement patterns were bizarre, and also seemed to correspond with passing traffic on the road behind the field. It certainly seems like it was doing this for a purpose, and was perhaps watching the vehicles as they went by. If it was a remote controlled object of some kind, what would be the reasoning behind flying it in this remote location at this time of night? If both it and the lights in the field were some sort of clever hoax, surely this would have been created in an area where it would definitely have been observed rather than out over a farmer’s field. When Simon returned to the barn with his sons, they witnessed seemingly completely different objects. If they were the same, then they certainly both appeared and acted in a different manner. The red orb which was seen in the field on the opposite side of the road is interesting. Any vehicles driving through fog after dark would almost certainly have had white headlights so it is unlikely they mistook this for something more unusual. Also Rob saw the light split into two, perform manoeuvres and then reform into one again. This would of course put most normal explanations out of the picture. The orange light seen in the sky on the horizon may have possibly been an aircraft, although their lights do not usually appear this colour. Perhaps it was the same orange orb that was seen during the initial encounter, it is impossible to say for sure. All Simon knows is that the red orb seemed to start moving at roughly the same moment that the orange light was in line with it. As for the unusual object which had a light that beamed around it numerous times, it does not seem like any conventional aircraft would be responsible. Everyone present saw this object so there is no doubt that it was there. But what could cause such unusual patterns of light? Simon feels that the object was extremely large and a number of miles away from where they were situated. He believes it may have been over Newton Longville but cannot be certain. This is a village, so it is highly unlikely that the object seen was caused by laser lights from a night club or other function. The abduction of Simon and Mark which apparently took place towards the end of the evening is more than likely the trigger for the trauma that Simon was experiencing for a number of days after December 30th. It is interesting to note that so far Mark has not displayed any signs of trauma, possibly the event has been blocked from his mind to a greater degree. It is unknown why Simon originally remembered Butch being on board the craft rather than Mark. Perhaps he was subconciously substituting the image of his son with that of the dog. Or perhaps Simon was also taken earlier in the evening when he first saw the lights in the field, although this seems less likely as no missing time was experienced at this point. As you will read in the regression transcript, Simon does not remember anything else about the experience, it seems that it is still partially blocked from his memory. As for the unusual markings on his body, Simon is not prone to sleep walking or moving around in his dreams so it is unlikely that these marks were self-inflicted. It is possible that the marking on his shin was caused at some point on board the craft which he cannot currently remember. The V-shaped scar may also be from a previous contact experience. In Ann Andrew’s book Abducted, it mentions Ann receiving a similar shaped marking: “The pain persisted all day. After dinner she was sitting in the kitchen, inspecting her swollen joint, when Jason came in. ‘You’ll find a small scar at the back of your knee, Mum’ he told her, matter-of-factly. ‘It’s where they’ve inserted a tiny silicone chip. Don’t know what it’s for, but I remember when they put mine in. They said my knee would hurt for a couple of days.’ Ann got up, took a small mirror from the window ledge and with Jason’s help manoeuvred it into a position where she could inspect the back of her knee. She could see a small V-shaped incision. Two days later she woke to find the swelling had subsided, the redness had gone and there was no more pain.” Another interesting aspect of the case is the seemingly spontaneous healing of Simon’s chest infection. Up until the evening of the incident for the previous few months he had suffered coughing fits, and could not run far before finding himself out of breath. He has doctor’s records showing that year after year he has had this ailment. Prior to the incident, he had put off going to the doctor’s but was certainly not well. This was verified by his family on my first visit. Early into his walk on the 30th December he heard the words “As fit as you were when you were fifteen” in his head. Could this have been a message informing him that something was going to happen which would take his illness away? After watching the unexplained lights at the field, he felt a strong urge to return back home to get his family. He ran the entire distance in only several minutes, but Debbie confirmed that when he arrived he barely seemed out of breath. Perhaps this was due to adrenalin brought on by the situation, however since the incident he has not been coughing at all and has felt well. It is as if he was somehow healed on that evening. Was this the entire reason behind the series of events? There are numerous other cases where contactees have reported being healed during abduction experiences. Glowing Orb UFO Sighting For a number of days after 30th December, Simon was very paranoid about UFOs and watched out for anything unusual in the sky. Every evening he had been out to the location where he saw the lights in the field, he still continues to do this whenever he can. On the 2nd January he was returning from the field around 8pm in the evening. There was a bit of cloud cover but it was a still evening. Looking into the sky in front of him he suddenly saw what looked like a glowing white orb of light travelling across the sky to the East with a wavy trail behind it. It was only visible for a few seconds but he remembers seeing it as being semi-transparent, the object did not look solid. He says the object was moving quite fast but slower than a “shooting star” would. It did not travel the whole length of the sky to the horizon, but instead seemed to fade out. It was completely silent. Simon wonders whether this incident could have been caused by his mind playing tricks on him due to his anxiety at the time, but at the same time he is also quite sure that he saw the object. Glowing Cylindrical UFO Sighting It was about 2am on the morning of 3rd January 2009, and Simon got out of bed to use the bathroom. For an unknown reason he felt compelled to look out of the window at the sky. The window has frosted glass so he opened it and peered out into the night. In the South West he could see what looked like a diagonal cylinder shape of white light, like “several stars stuck one on top of the other”. He watched it for several minutes. He then decided to go and get his binoculars from his van. When he went back to the window the object was still present so he looked at it through the binoculars. He could still not identify what it was. He watched it for about 10 minutes before deciding to go to bed. UFO Dream Between 24th-28th January 2009 Simon had an interesting dream. He cannot remember the precice night. In the dream he was out in his van with a number of other undetermined people. When the dream began it was daylight and he was parked near the bridge at Newton Longville. Suddenly two green and white UFOs flew overhead, descended and landed either side of the van. As the craft to Simon's right touches down, immediately there was a figure at the drivers window. The figure looked like a tall man with tanned skin, chiseled features, piercing black eyes and long dark wavy hair down to his shoulders. He was wearing a tight fitting green suit that looked like lycra. The figure tapped on Simon's window, bowed his head and then frowned, issueing a telepathic command for the driver to get out of the van. At this moment Simon then found he was in the passenger seat of the van instead, and watching another person get out of the van in his place. Once outside this person and the figure turn and walk off in the direction of the craft. Suddenly Simon found he was once again in the drivers seat. He immediately drove the van away, fearful but also grateful that the figure did not take him. When Simon woke up he found some unexplained markings on his body again. There was a finger-shaped pressure mark on his right arm, as well as a small scratch (Which he admits could have happened at work). Further down his right arm was another red sore area which bruised over the next few days. Unfortunately he did not manage to get photographs of these. Black Diamond UFOs Sighting On the evening of 1st February Simon decided to take his dog out for a walk. He also invited along Mark as he wanted to talk over what took place back in December. He decided it would be good to walk down to the sighting location. It was snowing when they left the house but neither of them minded. It was around 8pm when they reached the field where the December 30th incident began. It was windy, and the majority of the sky was cloudy, but not over where they were standing. The snow was falling as a light powder. They climbed up onto the disused railway embankment and were walking past the field when suddenly Mark spotted two objects in the sky. He pointed them out to Simon, who at first thought the objects were aeroplanes. They had red and white static lights on them and were over the field about 300 feet up. One object was following the other, and appeared to be about 200 foot behind the first. They were travelling towards them on a circular path a bit slower than a plane. As the objects approached the witnesses could see they were black diamond shaped objects, with a white light at each corner and a red light in the middle underneath. The first object was about the size of a jumbo jet, the second one a little smaller. As both objects flew over the witnesses could hear a low humming sound coming from them. They continued their path and the witnesses continued to watch them as they flew across the skyline. Both objects came round full circle. On the second pass after they had flown over the witnesses again, suddenly the second object stopped and immediately changed direction coming back towards them. Then a bright white phosphorous light came on at the front of the object as if it was watching the witnesses. It flew overhead and continued on a straight path without slowing down until both objects had vanished from sight. Simon estimates that they watched them for at least 20 minutes. The following morning, Simon found a red raised welt on his left thumb. It was about the size of a 5 pence coin, and had a burning sensation. He did not remember touching anything which would have caused the welt. After about half an hour it had completely vanished. Unfortunately he did not take a photograph of it. Obviously this sighting may be linked to what occurred on 30th December. Is it possible that the objects seen were UFOs returning to the same location? Or were they perhaps watching the witnesses rather than the area? Simon is adamant that the objects seen were not normal aircraft. He could clearly see that they were solid black diamond-shaped craft. The fact that the second one seemed to stop and change direction almost instantly is also very interesting, this manoeuvre would not be possible in a conventional aircraft. Also the noise they made when overhead did not sound like a plane or helicopter. He believes that this was a genuine sighting, however says that they did not look the same as anything he saw back in December. The red welt that appeared on Simon’s thumb is also intriguing. Was it caused by something mundane, perhaps something that he had touched while out walking that caused irritation? Or could it be a sign of a further abduction? Perhaps when the second object changed course and shone a light at the witnesses, something else took place that they cannot currently remember. We have no photographic evidence to go on but the marking is still an aspect of this incident that must be considered. Contact Incident On the night of February 12th 2009 a lot of unusual activity took place. Simon went to bed and was about to drop off to sleep when Butch started whimpering. He then suddenly felt his whole body vibrating. It felt like electrical pulses running through him. This continued for about 30 seconds. Simon felt that there was a presence in the room, but he could only move his eyes, his body was paralyzed. He felt as if he was tightly wrapped in something which was restricting his movement. He could feel his legs being moved and twisted around by something. This un-nerved him but he was not frightened. At this moment he appeared to black out. He then experienced a very unusual "dream". In it he got out of bed and walked to the door of his room, but when he did it took him twenty paces to do so. The surroundings looked like his room but were much too big. He stepped out of his room travelled downstairs to the lounge. When he did so, he did not step down the stairs but glided without walking. There he met two of his pet dog, but they were both standing on two legs rather than four. One of them smiled at him. He remembers patting it on the head. Again his lounge felt different in some way, it didn't look quite right. Simon awoke to find the time was 2.20am. He felt compelled to go and look out of the window. When he did so, he saw a horizontal row of lights moving away from his house. The lights looked too low in the sky to be a plane. In the morning he found a number of unexplained markings on his body, as follows: Simon also found that one of his nostrils had dried blood in it, and he does not suffer from nose bleeds normally. Within a week the markings had all disappeared. Contact Incident Regression Transcript When I took Simon for the hypnotic regression, the hypnotherapist was especially interested in this incident, and at Simon's request took him back to it to see what came out. Below is the section of the transcript relating to it: D: That’s alright. That was the spontaneous place, so we’ll take you to the 12th then, like you asked me, just wanted to know if there was anything else that might come up. So you told me about the 12th of February, where you’re seeing everything whizzing around you, so start from there. S: Actually it’s the 11th. D: 11th? S: Yeah. D: Ok. So work your way through as if you were watching a fast forward of the day, to the point that is important and start telling me what happened. S: I’m not seeing it, it’s erm, I’ll be taking it from memory. It’s not like being played in front of me, I’m not... D: It doesn’t matter, I mean how you recall is not important, the only thing that we need is that you start on a thread, and you follow that thread forwards, and you’ll be surprised that more things will start coming through. But as long as you’re on a train, like a train on a track, and you follow it, you don’t need to re-live it, ‘cause obviously it’s something that happened in the past and all you need to do is remember it normally. Everything else is just for effect. S: It was erm...I noticed it about an hour or two hours into being awake on the 11th. It was just pixels flying around in a clockwise motion. It’s erm...I was the centre. D: Yep. S: And...I didn’t want to mention anything to the fam or work partner, just kept it to myself. But then they’re just flying around me...all day. And err...of the evening. Erm...when I come home..it’s erm...I’ve gone up to lay down ‘cause I felt tired. The darkness, was just...was just like falling in a hole. It just...encroached in on my vision. And I had to literally pull myself up. And I went back downstairs. Erm, I don’t know if I’m hypnotised. D: I can do a few more things for you don’t worry about that. About being hypnotised, it’s what you do and what happens, how you feel, not likely to feel much different...you certainly won’t be unconscious, I’ll have to take you very deep. I’ll take you a lot deeper than this, that’s into the realms of relaxation, there’s nothing wrong with that, you’ll still be able to hear me. S: Ok. D: I can deepen you as much as you want. S: Do you want me to take it from err the moment where I’ve...I’ve gone up to bed, where err on the 12th D: Yeah. S: It’s err midnight and...I’ve walked up the stairs to bed and Kaiser’s come with me. And I’ve laid down and Kaiser’s laid down by the side of the bed. And err...as I’ve laid down my head hits the pillow, Kaiser just starts crying. And I’ve tried to, he’s my best mate, I’ve tried to get up but I just cannot move. D: Yeah. S: And it’s just got dark and I’ve just...I’ve just gone. That’s the hard bit, it’s not being able to help Kaiser. And err...the next thing I know, I mean, it could have...It was midnight exactly ‘cause I’ve looked at the clock before I lay down. The next thing I know is...is my body is just vibrating. Erm, but it’s pulsing as well as vibrating, it’s like everything in my body is just rattling. D: So what happened next? S: There’s someone in the room. There’s....there’s others in the room, but I can’t see ‘em. But I know there’s others in the room. I feel my legs being pulled. My legs are being twisted. D: How did you feel about that? S: I don’t mind. D: Ok. S: It’s them. D: Did they seem familiar to you? S: I knew it was them straight away, when I woke up and my eyes were open. My body vibrating, I just...it was them, I knew it was them. They didn’t bother me. I was happy. It was...it was brilliant. D: It’s good to know that they keep around watching us. So what happened after they were pulling your legs? S: After that I’ve just drifted back off to sleep. D: So do you feel that you missed any other events of that night? S: Yeah. D: Between when? S: Between the vibration and when I actually woke up. D: Yeah. S: ‘Cause I woke up, and the next thing I remember...was...waking up and it wasn’t my room. D: Ok so what did it look like? S: He wanted it to look like my room but it was too big. It was way too big, but it was my bed, and it was...it was my bed. It’s my bed. D: They can do that. S: And it’s my room but...it took me twenty paces to get to the other side, and my room’s small. D: Were you on your own then? S: I don’t think I was. D: So, could you see anyone around you or could you sense them? S: I could feel ‘em. D: Yeah. S: I put my...I put whatever it was on me over the wardrobe, but I don’t know if it was the wardrobe. D: Yeah. That’s the thing, they can convince you, I mean you talk about hypnosis, they can convince you at such a good level that you’re seeing things that aren’t really as they are. S: Yeah. D: So they seem more familiar so you don’t freak out. S: Yeah. D: So, you know, they will make their house look like your house, so that there isn’t a sudden transition, so it’s gradual. S: I’ve walked to the stairs and hall, there’s no...I’m walking down the stairs without going down them. D: You’re properly awake at this moment? S: It was dream-like, it felt dream-like, it was like I was...erm...under anaesthetic. D: So you were conscious but not normal conscious? S: Yeah. And there’s two Kaisers at the bottom, or there’s one, there’s one Kaiser, and he’s stood there on two legs, and he’s smiling. D: Well that’s another trick they do. S: And then the other one joins in and he runs, he’s running like a child D: Yeah. S: He runs like a...like a four or five year old. And he’s Kaiser as well, but he looks slightly different. D: Yeah exactly. They’re masters of disguise and you know, I think you’re ready now to see that...the animals are a very common thing that they make themselves up to look like. ‘Cause you know, the third eye clairvoyance is actually a two way process, you can pick things up, but they can interfere with what you’re picking up as well, they can put their own signal on it for a while. If you lift their signal away, they’ve filtered it a bit, you’ll be able to see what’s really there. There’s nothing scary now, you get used to it and they won’t need to use it anymore either, and you’ll be able to see it as it really is. They were just doing it to help you at the time. S: They took me to the front room. D: Yeah. S: And...he’s at the television. D: Yeah. S: It’s not my front room. D: So you had the discretion then to realise you weren’t quite where you thought you were. S: Everything’s wrong. But that’s...that’s not my settee and...my telly isn’t there. The chest of drawers isn’t there. Looks like it, but it isn’t mine. D: Did you think that was odd or did you realise where you probably were? S: Ahh...I knew it was odd, and I patted right...I patted the first one on the head. It’s confusing. D: What happened once you realised you weren’t quite in the front room and there were two dogs there that weren’t quite your dog? S: I’ve turned the telly off, I’ve come round to go upstairs, I’ve just turned round. But they’re not there anymore. D: Yeah. S: Very weird how.......Now I’m in my bed. D: Ok. Well you’ve obviously filled in quite a bit of material from there, so what we’ll do from now on, is you’ve got that experience now... S: But I knew that from the time. D: Yeah. S: But it’s...it’s what happened in between...I don’t know what happened. D: Well if you can remove any influence that they had over your memories. ‘Cause obviously you’ve only got one dog haven’t you? S: Yeah. D: Not two, so it’s quite easy for them to disguise themselves either physically or energetically to anything they want. So, if you can allow them to shift their shape slightly more back to who they really are, now look at the differences, look at the differences between a dog and their version of it. S: He’s smiling. D: Yeah, start looking at them really closely, have a really good look at them now ‘cause you’ve got a chance to do it, you didn’t then. S: A Grey. D: Yeah. See, they’re our friends really, they’ve never hurt anyone I’ve spoken to. So they’re happy there for you to see them as they really are. So whatever work they’re doing, they’re there to help, certainly not there to do any harm. So now they’re ok with you seeing them as they really are, you’re ok seeing them as they really are. And where do you think you actually were, ‘cause you can change the influence over the err room as well now. Pick up the things that were wrong, pick up the things that were different, obviously it was bigger size, is there anything else that is obviously different about the room? S: I’m just seeing my room. When David regressed Simon, it was discovered that the "dream" which Simon had had was probably an abduction, and that both the real surroundings and the beings were disguised to look like something familiar to him. This has been reported many times before in contact cases. Under hypnosis he was able to finally see what the two "dogs" really were - Greys. He could still not recall any details about his true surroundings, this information appeared to still be blocked from his memory. Contact Incident Flashback In a video call with Simon in March 2022 he informed me that back 2018 he had a daylight flashback relating to the 12th February 2009 incident in which he recollected more of what took place. There did not appear to be a specific trigger for this recollection, it just suddenly came back to him while thinking about it. He remembers being out of his physical body and floating up at the top corner of his bedroom looking down on himself. He saw two Greys standing in the room alongside the bed. It was light enough in the room to see that they were about 4 feet in height, had pale grey skin and were unclothed. The beings appeared to be performing an operation on his right eyeball. They had seemingly removed it from its socket and he could see it hanging down the side of his cheek. He does not recall whether they were holding any instruments or not. Relating this flashback to his original concious recollection, along with what came out in the regression, it seems likely that this was a memory of what actually took place and that the dream in which he met the dual replication of his pet dog was a screen memory to mask the proceedings. This is of course just a theory, but it may explain why there were two dogs present in the dream. Unexplained Mist Not long after the February 12th incident, Simon started to notice an unusual "mist/gas" around him at certain times. He first noticed it while out at the December 30th field location after dark. Simon sees this mist moves around him in waves. It is more visible at night but he has also seen it in the daytime. Sometimes it appears to glow. Simon feels it is constantly around him, but needs the right light conditions to be noticeable. He believes it may be some sort of after effect of being in close proximity to a craft, or their way of watching/monitoring him. Both Rob and Mark have seen this mist moving around both Simon and themselves while out at the field. Debbie has tried to see it but so far has been unable to. On the evening of 1st August after the regression, when I accompanied Simon on a skywatch out near the field, he said at various times that he could see the mist around himself. I could not see anything. Unidentified mists/gases are mentioned in Mary Rodwell's book Awakening. They are listed as one of the many signs that an individual may be experiencing contact. The book describes how sometimes contactees gain the ability to see the aura of living things, and that sometimes this aura can appear as a mist. It is possible that only the people that have experienced part of Simon's ongoing contact experiences can see this mist - this would explain why both myself and Debbie cannot see it, yet Simon, Rob and Mark can. Several times Simon has seen a vision of an old man's face seemingly come from the mist. The man looks over 60, has grey-white neck length hair pulled back from his face, and a moustache. These visions can last for a number of minutes, and afterwards later in the night Simon will always drop off to sleep quickly. Dream Of Daoran On the night of 30th March Simon had an interesting dream that may well be linked to his contact experiences. In the dream he found himself in a wide area of green grass. He felt himself getting pulled to the right but his feet remained on the floor. Then suddenly his feet were lifted off the floor and he was swung to the right. He was propelled forward towards a wall. He felt a little nervous at this point but realised he was in safe hands. He did not hit the wall but was then turned and propelled towards other solid objects such as walls and posts in the area. It felt like an invisible rope dragging him towards them and then redirecting him at the last moment. Simon felt it was a game of trust and they were testing him. He then stopped moving. A lady walked towards him and asked him to play. He immediately knew that her name was Grace even though she did not say this to him. She wanted him to play a game. On the grass was a line of poles and she asked him to run through them like a slalom. Simon wasn’t interested in the game, he wanted to talk to the lady, so he ran through it as fast as possible. The next thing he remembers, Simon is inside an unknown house with the lady. She then introduced him to a strange looking being named Daoran. The being had a pale face, thick chestnut-red coloured hair, and low set eyes with what looked like a bony plate under each (although this could have been decoration of some kind). He was wearing a long light green trenchcoat, dark green polo necked top and trousers. He had no shoes on and his feet looked unusually wide. He spoke in a croaky voice and complained about walking on a pastel that had been left on the floor and that it was all over his feet. Simon knew the being had a great sense of humour, but was not aware how he knew this. He asked Daoran a question about the evening of 30th December 2008 and then immediately woke up. In his hypnotic regression in August 2009, Simon mentioned Daoran by name, and referred to him as a being he was in contact with, which tends to suggest that this was more than just an unusual dream. The following night after dreaming about Daoran, Simon dreamt about seeing a triangular shaped craft. The craft had rounded points and a green and red stripe on one side of each point. He does not remember anything else or whether the craft interacted with him in any way. Disc Craft Dream A couple of days later he had another dream, this time of a massive disc-shaped craft in the sky. It was silver and metallic, but it’s surface looked molten and continuously shifted like mercury. This dream recurred about 5-6 times throughout the night but Simon cannot remember anything that happened in between. Simon has had other dreams since these that may have a connection to his contact experiences. Could they be revealing to him things which have taken place or are to take place? Perhaps when he has met unusual beings in his dreams this is their way of contacting him directly. On the other hand, these could be nothing more than dreams, brought on by his new found interest in the subject due to the other experiences he has had. Unidentified Rash It was the middle of April 2009 when Simon first became aware of an unusual rash which had appeared on his legs. It was made up of red blotches that strangely appeared to be in rough square and triangular shapes. The rash was not itchy but gave a slight burning sensation when he was in the bath. He first went to his local chemist to ask if they knew what it was and if they had any cream for it. The lady behind the counter said that she had never seen anything like it before. She advised him to go to see his doctor about it. When he did, his doctor also said she had never seen it before, and couldn't understand why it wasn't itchy. The rash lasted about two weeks. During this time it slowly moved up his legs and onto his chest. As it would clear up in one place it would appear next to where it was. Simon was left with slight scars at the top of his legs. Did the rash have a natural explanation? Or was it in some way related to Simon's experiences? Dream Of Grey Being This incident involved both Simon and Mark. Ever since the 30th December 2008 incident, Simon has had very vivid dreams (some of which may not be dreams at all). In this night's dream it was night-time and he walked out of his room onto the landing. He was then suddenly gripped around the chest by a small Grey. This being had pale grey coloured skin and was not wearing any clothing. It was about 4 foot high with black sideways tear drop shaped eyes. He was not at all frightened by the being and felt he could trust it. When it gripped him, he felt like he couldn't breath or call out, it was very constricting. He thought that the Grey wanted him not to shout, and in response he telepathically told it not to worry and that he would keep quiet. The being let him go. It then asked him to go and get Mark. He did this but he accidentally woke up Tim. At this point he noticed that there were two Greys present not one. He and Mark tried to conceal the Greys from Tim who had stepped out onto the landing. They succeeded and Tim went back to bed. The Greys then touched Simon and Mark on their elbows and they all floated up through the ceiling, through the roof of the house and up into a craft. Simon remembers trying to grab hold of the roof tiles as he moved away from them. The craft was extremely big and circular shaped. Simon cannot remember many details about the interior of the craft. But he does remember seeing a man who was lecturing about something to a number of individuals. The man was wearing grey and brown robes that hung down from his shoulders. Simon is not certain but he feels it may have been the same old man who's face he had seen in visions several times before (See Mid February 2009 incident). He cannot remember anything else about the dream. Soon afterwards Simon found out that Mark had had almost the same dream, but the Grey had asked him to go and get Rob instead of Simon. Initially he denied having any dreams of relevance. Later that evening, Simon began to tell Mark of the dream he had. At this point Mark burst into tears and admitted he had had what appeared to be the same dream on the same night. He then proceeded to tell Simon and Debbie the rest of the dream, and other than the involvement of Rob rather than Simon, the details fitted perfectly! Both Simon and Mark independantly drew pictures of one of the beings they had seen in their dream. The similarities between the two drawings are obvious. Note especially the shape of the head and thin-ness of the eyes. Humanoid Beings Vision On an evening towards the end of June, Simon once again headed out to the location of the field to walk his dog. He was standing on the railway bridge which lies along the embankment next to the field, when he suddenly had a vision, which only lasted for a split-second. He saw the same figure he had seen in the dream which took place at the end of January - tall, tanned skin, chiseled features, black eyes, long dark wavy hair. However this time instead of a green skin tight suit, the figure was wearing off-white coloured robes. Behind the figure there were four others standing in a line, who looked very similar and were wearing the same clothing. Simon is unsure whether or not this was a vision of something which occured back in December. The Rash Returns Towards the start of June 2009, the rash which appeared on Simon back in April now appeared on his son Mark. As before it slowly moved across his body, and finally cleared up in the later part of July. It looked and acted identically to before. Note that it affected the same son as who was abducted with Simon on 30th December, and who has had a matching abduction-themed "dream" with Simon. Orbs Around The House On many occassions since the 30th December 2008 incident, Simon and his sons have witnessed small white orbs which fly past their vision very fast. They look like small balls of light, and have been seen both in their house and outside. Simon has managed to pick them up on photographs such as those shown below: Here is a close up of one of the orbs: Simon is adamant that the anomalies on these photos are not dust particles or reflections in the camera lens. They have also tried asking them to appear in a certain position on the photo prior to taking it, and they have apparntly done as they were asked! Below is a photo of Mark pointing up into the air, and above him you can see that one of the small white orbs has appeared: Despite this apparent intelligence, there is still the possibility these are dust particles and their appearance at certain moments is merely coincidental. Possible Being Photograph On one of the photographs Simon took in an attempt to capture orbs, instead he caught a strange dark form crouching down close to the sofa in the lounge. There is a coat hanging above, but Simon says that the shape below was much too low to be part of it. He thinks he can make out a face, arm and part of the chest. He is by no means certain, this could just be shadows cast in a strange way, but it is still worthy of inclusion. Due to the small size of the scanned photograph, there is obvious heavy pixelation, and it is hard to see much at all close up. Golden Light Streams During the night of Saturday 13th March, Simon suddenly woke up. It was still completely dark in the bedroom, but looking up at the ceiling he noticed what looked like several golden wavy "streams" of light. They appeared to be hanging down over the bed, and were of varying sizes. He was certain that they were not caused by light coming into the room from outside. He tried to wake up fully but he felt himself drop back off to sleep. Later he woke up a second time, and could again see the odd lights. Again he tried to force himself to wake up but felt that he could not and drifted off again. In the morning he woke up and fully remembered seeing the lights. He has never seen anything like it, before or since. Voices Sometimes when Simon is just about to drift off to sleep he hears voices directly in his mind. One time he heard a robotic sounding voice clearly say the word "No". On another occassion he heard what sounded like a female voice ask him if he wanted a cup of tea. This was of course bizarre at the time, but later he remembered that he had jokingly asked the ETs to show themselves and they could chat and have a nice cup of tea! He wonders whether this voice was in response to this request. Visions Of Landscapes On other occassions when Simon shuts his eyes, he gets visions of strange futuristic landscapes. These occur while he is still awake. He has no idea of the meaning of them but feels sure it is not just his imagination. The visions begin with him moving backwards down a dark tunnel with ever decreasing light. Then he will see either unusual rocky landscapes or sometimes rows of futuristic looking structures. In one vision he saw three people walking through a barren landscape heading away from his position along a path. The Glowing UFO Returns It was around 10pm on Thursday 18th March 2010. Simon was taking Butch for a walk on the normal route down to the field where he had had the experience back in December 2008. As he walked across the local park, he noticed what looked like a bright star in the distance to the West. For an unknown reason he felt attracted to it in some way, and couldn't stop looking at it. Six minutes later, as he walked past the garden allotments which lead to the fields, suddenly the "star" flashed really brightly, and then began slowly moving to the South! Simon immediately realised it was not a star at all. The experience actually brought a tear to his eye - he felt that the object was there for him and showing him that they were still around. He continued to watch the object for a couple of minutes until it had vanished into the distance. He was certain that it was not a helicopter as he could see no navigation lights, just a single bright white light. Orange Disc UFO Sighting On Saturday 20th March 2010, as usual Simon decided to take Butch for a walk over to the field. It was about 10pm and a very clear evening, with the stars visible. He was out at the field, when he decided to look up into the sky. He immediately spotted what looked like a disc-shaped orange coloured object. It was moving very fast to the South on a straight course, and appeared to be about 300-400 feet high. It looked quite large in size but this was hard to accurately judge. Due to the speed it was moving at, Simon only got to see it for a couple of seconds before it had vanished out of sight. Simon will be sending me a drawing of the object, once I receive it I will add it below. More Body Markings On Sunday 21st March 2010, the morning after sighting the orange UFO, Simon awoke and found some more unusual markings on his skin. There was what looked like a reddish triangle on one arm, and on his leg was two triangles facing each other. The triangle on his arm was about 7mm across. None of the markings caused any pain when he tried touching them. The markings persisted for a number of days, and Simon was able to take photographs of them. He felt that the triangle shape on his arm was some sort of skin layer removal. Taking the poor quality of the photographs into account, it can still be seen that none of these markings are very defined. There may be a normal explanation for them, however it is very interesting that Simon found them the morning after sighting a UFO. Tic-Tac UFO Sightings By 2018 Simon had moved house to Turneys Drive in Wolverton Mill, a district in the North West of Milton Keynes. When I spoke with him and his new partner Julie in 2022 they informed me of a couple of sightings of a tic-tac shape glowing UFO over their house. The first of these incidents took place in July or August 2020. The couple were lying down on their bed about 9.30pm. Due to the time of year the sun was only just starting to set. It was a pleasant and relatively still evening. Their room has a skylight in it, and they happened to glace through this at the sky overhead. It was now that they noticed an unusual object hovering directly above them at high altitude. It was the shape of a tic-tac sweet and appeared to be glowing white. It had hazy edges similar to a cloud but was absolutely stationary in the sky, and there were no other clouds anywhere near to it. They estimate it was at least the height that a passenger jet would fly at (35000 feet). If so this means it must have been quite large, as it looked bigger than a plane would at this height. They continued to watch the strange object. The sighting was extremely extensive. They watched it for until around 4am. The sun set and the stars came out but the object remained visible, implying that it was indeed glowing. For the six and a half hours they observed it for the object did not change position at all! Other clouds could be seen passing at a lower altitude, temporarily obscuring it from time to time. However when they did the glow from the object could still be seen through the cloud. The couple have smartphones but did not attempt to take any photographs or video of the object as they believed due to the distance and lack of light it would not come out. They eventually dropped off with it still visible in the sky. In the morning it was no longer present. This was not the only time that the object was witnessed. Around midnight on 10th February 2022 the couple were once again lying in bed. On this occassion Simon had dropped off to sleep, but Julie was still wide awake. She looked out of the sky light and was surprised to once again see the same object. It was in the same position as before and looked identical. She watched it for about 3 hours. Like before it did not move at all during this time. She decided not to wake up Simon, and once again did not attempt to capture it on film. In the morning Julie claims that she felt unusually tired for an unknown reason. After being up a few minutes she happened to once again look out of the sky light. The window is at a diagonal so it is also possible to see the sky to the South through it. She noticed a black oblong shaped object in the distance. Unfortunately she could not see it clearly as she had just got up and not put her glasses on. The unusual looking object glided smoothly away to the South East and was soon out of sight. She did not think to grab her phone and try to catch it on camera, as the sighting was only brief and quite distant. About 10 minutes later after she had got dressed and came downstairs, Julie wiped her upper lip with her hand. She noticed blood on her fingers. It appeared that her nose had been bleeding. This was confusing to her as she says that she never gets nosebleeds. In the afternoon she decided to do the washing up, and rolled up her sleeves. When she did she felt something on her outer right forearm. She looked and noticed a number of small raised scabs in a rough square shape. They looked similar to the injuries you might get from needle injections. Their positioning looked interesting enough for her to take some photographs, especially given the fact that Simon had informed her about the body markings which he had found on previous occasions: Julie says that the marks remained visible on her arm for about a week before vanishing. They did not hurt to the touch. The tic-tac shaped UFO which was seen on two occassions is intriguing. I wondered whether it could possibly have been a lenticular cloud, given the hazy edge to it. These can sometimes appear in a relatively clear sky and have a very unusual solid look to them. Due to the cloud layers and air currents at different altitudes it would also be possible for other clouds to appear at a lower altitude and move below a lenticular cloud while it remained stationary. However lenticular clouds do not emit glowing light. They can certainly reflect sunlight and look extremely unusual, but Simon and Julie reported that on both occasions the object was present long after the sun had set, with no change to its appearance throughout the extended sightings. They stated that it was possible to see the glow coming from it through the other clouds as they moved across the sky and temporarily obscured it. It is also interesting that the object appeared at precisely the same location on two different occassions. The witnesses are certain that it was not caused by the reflection of a glowing light in the sky light window. Logically if it was it would have also been seen on other occasions too if this were the case. As the black oblong shaped object was not seen clearly by Julie it is impossible to say whether it was something unusual or not. She said that it did not move like a bird and glided away with no vertical drift. However this cannot rule out other explanations including a balloon, blimp or distant drone. Even though it is interesting that Julie found the markings on her arm soon after having two UFO sightings, there is no evidence that she may have been taken during the night. The positioning of the dots may be coincidental and it is possible that they are insect bites, perhaps bites from a bed bug. Insects can sometimes bite numerous times in the same location creating such markings. Conclusion It seems certain that Simon has had numerous encounters with what can only be described as UFOs throughout his life. While some of the sightings could be put down to possible misidentification, there are others which seem to defy mundane explanation. I have no doubt that Simon and his family are telling me the truth about what they have witnessed, both in regards to the many incidents described in this report. They come across as very rational and logical people, especially Simon, who has tried his hardest to come up with alternative explanations for what he witnessed. Also remember that he is gaining nothing through telling me about these incidents. He is not seeking attention or money through these revelations, quite the opposite in fact. I believe there is sufficient evidence to propose that Simon has been in contact with ET beings for most of his life, and that the incident of 30th December has "awakened" him to their presence. It remains to be seen whether or not more information is revealed to him about his experiences. It also seems that at least Mark, and possibly his other sons are also involved, but to what degree we cannot currently say. Whether you believe Simon's many UFO sightings and contact experiences are extraterrestrial in nature or not, the fact still remains that something extraordinary appears to have occurred towards the end of 2008 in the outskirts of Bletchley. Hopefully in time we will gain more of a complete understanding as to what actually took place. Until then it remains one of the most fascinating cases I have investigated. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Year: 2009 Last Updated: 13/09/2024 Introduction This report covers a life time of experiences of a man and his family who live in Bletchley close to Milton Keynes. The family members are Simon, Debbie, their three sons Rob, Mark and Tim, and pet dog Butch (names changed for privacy reasons). The investigation into their experiences began with a series of incredible events which took place on the evening of 30th December 2008, where a large amount of UFO activity was witnessed. However as the investigation progressed, it became clear that this incident was just one of many that Simon has experienced since a very young age. This incident in particular appears to have been a trigger for Simon, as since this there have been many other unusual happenings in his life, and with these the gradual realization that both he, and possibly his sons, are ongoing extraterrestrial contactees. When I first released this report, I primarily concentrated on the 30th December incident, with the other incidents mentioned later. However it is now my belief that at least some of the other incidents are of equal importance, so I have re-arranged it to discuss them in order of when they occured. The Investigation Towards the start of 2009, Simon left a message on the BUFOG hotline. Even from this initial message I could hear the sense of distress in his voice. After contacting him I arranged to travel to Bletchley on the evening of 5th January. I met up with Simon and his family at their house. We spent several hours discussing what had taken place on December 30th in great detail. Simon showed me numerous drawings of what he had witnessed (these can be seen at various points throughout this report). During our discussion I could see that Simon was clearly very traumatised by what had taken place, and was even brought to tears numerous times as he recounted it. Also their pet dog Butch was acting in an unusual manner. The events of December 30th had clearly got both Simon and the dog highly agitated. Simon showed me a marking on his leg which he believed had occured at some point during the evening. As well as Simon I talked to Debbie and the children. Debbie had stayed in the house throughout the incident. She had not witnessed anything personally but could verify when various events had taken place. The children informed me about what they had witnessed throughout the evening. After our discussion at 11pm, I, Simon and Butch then walked out to the field where their initial sighting had taken place. It was extremely cold and snow covered the ground, but was quite a still clear night. I used the video camera but sadly it was so dark that not much could be seen, even on night vision. We walked the same path that Simon had taken on the evening of December 30th and as we did he talked me through what he had witnessed. Once we reached the field we walked up to an area where Simon believes some of the objects he saw had been situated, and where markings on the ground could be seen. After examining the area (My findings are discussed later in this report) we then returned to his house and from there I headed home. I returned to Bletchley on 10th January to continue my investigation into the case. It was clear that Simon was a lot more calm and relaxed, and a lot of his initial anxiety had gone. He informed me that the dog was still acting in an unusual manner, seeking attention far more than it used to do. I and the witness first walked back out to visit the various sighting locations in daylight. Once again I took the video camera and managed to get some much better footage. While out we also bumped into a farm hand and discussed aspects of the sighting with him. Returning to Simon’s home I then interviewed him about his many previous UFO related encounters. These occurred even when he was just a baby and are very interesting indeed. He also showed me a second unidentified mark on his body which he had for a number of years. After our second meeting, I contacted the local water company regarding the ground markings. I have also had samples of soil and stones from the area professionally analyzed. The results of this analysis are discussed later in this report. In March I managed to get hold of the owner and farmer of the land, and interview him about the markings. Initially he was mystified by my description of the site. I returned to the sighting location in May to do more analysis work on the ground markings. Soon afterwards I sent the land owner some photographs of how the site now looked. He wrote back giving an acceptable terrestrial explanation for the markings. Eventually on 1st August 2009 I took Simon down to London for a hypnotic regression, which was performed by David Howard. This regression brought forward further information about a number of Simon's experiences, and confirmed to both myself and him that he was indeed a contactee and had been for most of his life. The full transcript of the regression can be read later in this report. Early Memories The first incident that Simon can remember which has an extraterrestrial connection took place when he was less than 1 year old and in his pushchair. He was in the communal garden of the block of flats where he lived. He can clearly remember there being some sort of commotion and the adults around him all pointing up at the sky and looking at something. Needless to say, he does not remember any other details about this incident. The Orb Of Light In 1975/76 when Simon was either 1 or 2 years old, he used to live at a house in Essington Court. He remembers seeing a globe of glowing swirling colours hovering in the air next to the cot. It was mostly blue and green in colour but also perhaps red. Looking back at the incident he feels like it was trying to calm him, but at the time it had the opposite effect and he started crying out really loudly. This phenomenon has been reported by numerous repeat contactees, and is a possible method of early observation or communication. Simon did not remember anything more about this incident until going for the regression. Under hypnosis he described seeing a female humanoid watching over him (See regression transcript). He now believes that she was guiding him through the early years of his life, but that at some point he stopped seeing her. Orb Of Light Regression Transcript I arranged for hypnotherapist David Howard to regress Simon on Saturday 1st August 2009. David has performed numerous regressions on experiencers before. He is well versed in what questions to ask them and how to help them deal with their experiences. During the regression David asked Simon about several key incidents, one of which was the earliest incident he could remember with the orb of glowing light. Below is the section of the regression trasncript relating to it: S: There’s a woman. D: Yeah. What’s her name? S: I don’t know. D: That’s alright. S: She’s got long...long clothes. D: I saw her with others when I was a baby. S: That was....like the orb, their colours. D: Hmmm. S: White hair. Blue...purple... D: Is she human? S: Yeah. D: Is she still around? S: It’s when I was a baby. D: Do you know what her job was, do you know what she was doing while she was there? Did she speak to you? S: Yeah. D: What’s she say? S: Calm. D: Yeah. S: She didn’t “speak” speak. D: Well that’s alright, well communicate. ‘Cause we had the other thing which I asked you before which we could possibly find out now, is what was it about you that they chose you to do the work with? ‘Cause they only select certain people, obviously. What was it particular that you could help them with? S: My personality. S: She’s (unaudible) D: Yeah. Is she connected with them or is she from a different lot? S: Think she’s with them. D: Yes. So are they actually working with humans? S: No. D: But they have people that look like humans with them as well? S: Don’t think they are. Galley Hill UFO Sighting It was 1987/88 and Simon was either 13 or 14 years old. After school on week days about 5pm he would head out on a two hour paper round in the area of Galley Hill. One clear evening when he stepped outside his house to begin his paper round, he saw what looked like a very bright white light quite a distance away from him in the sky. It was dusk but the stars were not yet visible, and he was convinced that it was not the planet Venus or another bright star. Towards the end of his round, the light was still visible in the sky. He stood there watching it for a number of minutes but it was completely stationary. He looked away for a moment, and when he looked back it had vanished. To this day he believes that he witnessed something out of the ordinary. Fishermead UFO Sighting One early morning in November 1994, Simon had to walk to the local garage to do some shopping. He estimates it was around 6am. On his walk to the garage along St Gurnards Avenue, he doesn’t know why but he felt compelled to look behind him and into the sky. When he did so he once again saw a bright white light like a star, but the morning light had come up and the stars were no longer visible. He looked at it for about 5 minutes but it didn’t move. He continued to the garage, and when he came back out the light had disappeared. Initial Bletchley UFO Sighting In the summer of 1999, Simon now lived at his present address in Bletchley. It was about 10pm and a very clear evening with the stars fully visible. Simon was out in his back garden with his friend Derek and their family after enjoying a BBQ. His friend’s family headed indoors, but Simon remained with Derek outside to look for satellites in the night sky, as Derek had never seen one before. From a westerly direction heading towards them they saw a white glowing light moving slowly and too bright to be a satellite (Simon knew very well what these looked like). It was quicker than a plane, but too slow to be a meteorite. As it got to almost overhead it started to get dimmer until it had vanished completely. Then above their heads they saw a white point of light flash to the south, then the same thing happened to the west and once again to the north. Simon described the lights as looking like “stars switching on and then back off”. At a later date Simon asked Derek about the incident, but his friend remembers seeing something completely different. He describes seeing “dancing lights” that appeared in the sky to the south. Stranger still, recently Simon’s youngest son Tim talked to Simon about the incident. He said he remembered being there in the garden with Simon and Derek and seeing the moving lights in the sky too. But this is impossible as back in 1999 Tim wasn’t even born. Simon is certain that he has never mentioned the incident to Tim or in his presence, so how could he possibly know about it or think he was there? This puzzles Simon and currently he has no rational explanation for it. Golden Light Anomaly This incident may have a ghostly rather than an extraterrestrial explanation, but considering all of Simon's other experiences it is probable that it is linked to his ongoing contact. Back in 2001 Simon used to work at a power station in London. He would have to wake up very early in the morning to set off for work. On a morning in December, it was around 4am and he was in the kitchen getting breakfast. He looked into the lounge and noticed a golden coloured circular reflection of light on the floor. Simon describes it as a circle with a notch cut out of it. He thought at first it was a reflection off one of the Christmas tree baubles. But then the light started to move! Simon entered the lounge and for a number of minutes followed the light as it moved slowly around the floor. He looked for a possible source of it but there was none. The curtains were drawn and there was nothing moving in the room which could have accounted for it. After around 5 minutes the light suddenly vanished. Simon describes the light he saw as the kind of reflection that would be given off by a round gold pocket watch. A previous owners of the house who died there apparently used to have a watch of this type. Perhaps it was a ghostly apparition of some kind. But could the incident once again have an extraterrestrial connection? Red Rectangular UFO Sighting On an evening in summer 2002, Simon was alone and out in the back garden of his house. It was a clear warm weather and the sun was just starting to set. However looking to the east he saw what looked like a red glowing rectangle hovering in the sky in the distance. He believes it was over Brickhill Woods and was massive in size. It was clearly glowing but gave off no surrounding aura of red light. It was completely stationary. Puzzled by the object, he stood and watched it for around 8 minutes. He then decided to run upstairs to get a better view of it out of the bedroom window. It remained still for a further two minutes, then suddenly started to shrink in size, perhaps because it was moving away from him, he could not tell for certain. It continued to get smaller until it was no longer visible. The object looked like nothing he had ever seen before or since. He tried to put it down initially to sunlight reflection off something, but soon realised this was not a sufficient explanation. After witnessing the object he tried to call his friend who lived close to Brickhill to see if they could see it but they did not answer the phone. To Simon’s knowledge, nobody else has reported seeing the object. Supernatural Touches It was about 9pm on a warm summers evening in 2004. Simon had spent the day putting up a fence in the back garden. He sat down opposite his wife at the garden table. They were both enjoying a glass of wine when suddenly Debbie felt a force of some kind move past her to her left. She instinctively looked towards it. A second later, Simon felt a very definite push on his right shoulder, as if an invisible person had patted him. Rather than feel scared, both him and Debbie suddenly felt extremely joyful and at peace, and they both simultaneously burst into tears. Simon explains that he felt elated by the experience, and neither witness can even start to explain what may have happened. At the time they put it down to a ghost haunting their property. After Simon's recent experiences and discoveries, he now believes he was touched by one of the beings watching over him. Tourquay UFO Incident Simon is a kids football coach. In summer 2008 he had taken his team to a tournament taking place in Tourquay. They were staying at some chalets on the coast, overlooking the bay. It was arond midnight and Simon was sitting in his van having a cigarette. It was a very still and clear night. He looked out to sea in to the North East and saw what looked like 9 small yellow-white glowing orbs of light out over the water of the bay. He estimates they were around 300 foot high in the air. The lights were twisting and looping around each other, moving very erratically. He watched the lights for at least 20 minutes, wondering what they could be. He called several of the boy out, including his son Mark, to also see the lights. They watched for around 10 minutes before returning to bed. The following day Simon felt different and very emotional. At the time he had no explanation for this. However since going for the regression, we have now found out that Simon was abducted later in the night from his room (See regression transcript). This was the reason behind his unusual feelings the following day. As you will see in the regression details, he cannot fully remember the abduction, jsut the beginning of it. It is possible that one of the UFOs Simon and the boys had seen abducted him. Maybe theyt were in the area directly because of him. Or perhaps it was just coincidental but because he was nearby they decided to take him. Tourquay Incident Regression Transcript D: Do you want to go to any other point in the past? Do you want to try and remember anything from before this year or last year? S: Yeah...I wanna know...Torquay. D: Yeah I remember you mentioning Torquay. S: I was...different after. D: Mhmm. S: The next day I was different, was...I was...emotional, it was...it was different. D: So... S: I sat in the van. I watched ‘em...there were...seven, eight...nine. D: Hmmm. S: Nine. There’s nine lights. D: And the next question of course is how long were you watching them for? S: It was twenty minutes. D: Yeah. Are there any gaps in your memory from that experience? S: When I go to bed. D: Yeah. S: They took me. D: Yeah. S: Oh. It’s now it’s the upside-down tornado. D: Ahh yes. S: Blue...blue craft. Saucer. Upside-down tornado in the centre. D: Yeah. Is that their propulsion. S: No, it’s how they took me. D: Ah, they lifted you up yeah? S: It’s through...through the walls. D: Yeah. It’s quite normal that, they seem to be able to do that, our physical barriers...they... S: I’m falling up. D: Yeah, they make a little gap in our gravity. S: It’s weird, it’s...elevating, your belly’s on the floor. D: Mmmm. That was a good experience by the look of it, it was fun yeah? What did they do when you were on the craft. S: Nothing. D: What could you see? What was it like inside? S: No. D: Who was there? S: No. As you can see from Simon's recollection, it appears that after seeing the lights over the bay he was abducted from his hotel room. He was able to remember being lifted up into a glowing blue saucer-shaped craft. Unfortunately he was unable to recall anything that took place once he was aboard. Bletchley Field Incident This important incident appears to have been a trigger for Simon to start piecing together what has taken place throughout his life. Whether by accident or on purpose he is now starting to realise that he is, and always has been, a contactee with extraterrestrial beings. Using the various testimonies of the family members and the revelations of the hypnotic regression, it is possible to build a clear picture of what took place. It was approximately 8.00pm on the evening of 30th December 2008. Simon decided he would take Butch for a walk. It was very cold, and Simon had a chest infection, one which had recurred for a number of years. However he could still manage a short walk and did not want to let Butch down. He left the house and headed off on the usual route he would take. It was a very peaceful evening, with moderate cloud cover. Soon he reached the “Red Way” a long pathway that heads right across the Milton Keynes area. He continued along this through Chepstow Park. As he walked he suddenly heard a voice in his head say the words “As fit as you were when you were fifteen” as if in answer to an unknown question. He continued walking until a fork in the path. During the winter time he would always head to the right, leaving the longer walk to the left for a warmer time of year. But for an unknown reason he felt compelled to take the path to the left through the trees, even though it was extremely dark. The path lead he took heads around the edge of a small lake. It is while he was walking past this that he believes he first noticed an orange light in the distance up ahead. It was low down below tree level. At this point he did not pay too much attention of it. He continued to walk, and noticed that Butch was acting strangely. Usually Butch would sniff around and go exploring but this evening he was glued to Simon’s side, and remained close to him. He seemed unusually relaxed. After the lake again Simon had the option to take a different route back but he felt like something was driving him to go on. He continued past an allotment area. For some reason this part of his journey seemed to take ages even though it really must have only taken several minutes. It was extremely dark and also fog was starting to appear. At the end of the allotment he reached the edge of a farmer’s field. It was now that he noticed moving lights coming from somewhere in the adjoining field. He was interested to know what the lights were so continued walking along the edge of the field. At first he thought it must be lampers looking for rabbits but soon realised it couldn’t possibly be that. Simon finds it extremely difficult to precisely describe what he could see as it was like nothing he had ever seen before. He could see what looked like a number of white lights with red and blue tinges in. These lights were spinning around each other and boomeranging left and right. He describes them as shimmering like liquid/electricity. He was very interested in what was going on so continued to walk along the edge of the field towards where he assumed the lights were coming from. Half way down the field he suddenly felt a very strong sensation of being watched. Both himself and the dog became very frightened indeed and froze on the spot. He turned around and ran as fast as he could back to the hedge at the end of the field. Here he felt more at ease so turned back round to watch what was going on. The lights he could see were not actually at ground level. He knew this because the far field where they were coming from is at a lower level than the field he was standing in. This means that they must have been up in the air, perhaps above an object out of sight at ground level. Suddenly he saw what looked like a white bar of light with a red light at either end dart out from the trees to the left of the field. It moved extremely fast in an erratic motion out over the field and then darted back to where it had come from. Simon also noticed the orange orb of light, this time much more clearly. It was to the left and appeared to be in amongst the trees, about a quarter of the way down. In the background beyond the field is a road. As with most evenings, it was quite desolate. However whenever a car did pass along it Simon could make out the headlights moving along behind the far hedgerow. Whenever a car appeared the orange orb seemed to react. It moved up into the sky erratically, then moved across to the right (he could not tell if it was over the road or closer), back to the left, and then returned to its original stationary position amongst the tree line. It was almost as if it was toying with or observing the passing cars. Simon and Butch stood there for what seemed like ages watching the fascinating display of lights taking place in front of their eyes. However they must really have only been there for a maximum of ten minutes. By this time the fog was starting to get thicker around the field but Simon could still clearly make out the lights through it. Suddenly Simon felt a very strong urge to return home and get his family to come and see for themselves. He ran all the way back home, which is extremely unusual as for the previous couple of months he had suffered with a dreadful chest infection and was finding it hard to breathe, let alone run any distance. But within a few minutes he was home and barely even felt out of breath. He had been gone for roughly half an hour. His wife and sons could clearly see he was very agitated and wanted to head back out extremely fast. All three sons decided to go along with him but Debbie did not wish to. He also left the dog at home. This time Simon decided to drive out to the field using his van to get back there as soon as possible. He drove out to Chepstow, and arrived at a farmer’s barn, which is situated on the nearest road to the field – Whaddon Road. Both him and his sons got out of the van to survey the area However by this time the activity in the field had mostly died down. Simon thinks that he saw a few quick sparks of light coming from where the area where the main display of lights had been. Looking around the area, the witnesses saw several other unidentified objects. The descriptions of what they personally remember seeing vary a bit (This is quite normal and makes it more likely to be a genuine event, not less). To their right on the opposite side of the road lie more fields. Quite far away but low down they could see a red light. At first it appeared stationary and they assumed it was coming from a farm house or farm machinery of some kind. But then it started to move in a straight path in a southerly direction. Rob reported seeing the red light suddenly separate into two. The two lights moved apart from each other then shot up and together diagonally before moving back down and forming one light again. He saw this occur twice, once before seeing the object with the beam of light, and again afterwards. Simon and the other boys did not witness this, probably due to the fact they were looking in a different direction at those particular moments. They also noticed an unidentified orange light in the sky on the horizon which was once again moving to the south. Looking to the south in the direction of Newton Longville they then witnessed something else very unusual. It appeared as a search light revolving around a large object of some kind in the sky. Simon, Rob and Mark all report seeing this object but they each interpreted it in a different way. Simon saw what looked like a bell-shaped object with a light that passed around it in a clockwise direction. It was only visible due to the light hitting it, it appeared and then vanished again against the dark sky. After it was gone it briefly left behind a strange pattern of light before fading. This pattern was a deep orange colour and looked like a circle with short lines inside, and another circle in the centre. Simon saw the same thing happen two more times, but each time the object was further across in the sky so he assumed it must have been moving. The eldest son Rob described seeing the same object but he only saw it the first time. Also he said that the light went first clockwise around it, then back round anticlockwise, and this was followed by a flash of light. Mark described seeing what looked like “a motorbike helmet with the light coming from where the visor would have been”. Mark also mentioned that he saw what looked like a pair of thin pale blue legs in the bushes close to where they were. The legs were bowed, with the knees bent and standing completely still. He looked away and when he looked back they were gone. Several minutes later he saw the legs again further along the hedge once again standing still. After a short time Simon decided to drive to Seldom Farm to get a different view of the situation. However as they approached the farm it was very dark and spooky, and the kids started to get frightened so he drove back to the barn. When they got there they couldn’t see much as the fog was quite thick so they drove back home. Once home Simon felt compelled to head out yet again to the field. He decided to walk, and both Mark and Tim went along too. Rob decided to stay back home to watch TV with Debbie. They reached the base of the field. It was quite foggy and the lights were no longer visible. Tim soon became cold and wanted to return home. They walked back to the house to drop him off. Tim went up to bed, and then Simon and Mark ventured back out while Debbie and Rob sat down to watch TV. It is here that the situation takes an even stranger turn. When I interviewed Simon and Mark on January 5th, they were both very insistent on what they believed happened when they left the house. To their memory, they got back in the van and drove back out to the barn. It was very thick fog by this time and there were no unexplained lights visible any more. They waited there for several minutes before returning home. However both Debbie and Rob were certain that they did not take the van, but instead walked with the dog. They had also been gone for two whole hours. This can be verified as they had been watching a 90 minute film and were half way through watching an hour long program afterwards. When Simon thought back to the evening, he kept getting an image in his head of a round space or room bathed in orange glowing light. There seemed to be no source for this light to emanate from, it was all around him. He saw himself lying on one side and his dog on the other side, but nobody else was present. At the time he was unsure of what this image meant and how it fitted into what was experienced. When I took Simon for the regression, he still remembered being in the van with Mark. However when they got out to the barn, he recounted how they were then both taken aboard a huge craft (See regression transcript). The image of the orange glowing round room was where he had been on the craft, although instead of Butch, Mark was present. This affected him greatly due to him wishing to protect his son from harm, and he began to cry under hypnosis at this point. In the days after the incident Simon felt compelled to return to the field, and did so on a daily basis, standing there for long periods of time and thinking about what happened. He looked into UFOs in great depth on the internet, and felt extremely paranoid, staring out of the window at the sky for long periods of time. He would also make sure to switch all the lights off in the house at night, which Debbie confirms was highly unusual as usually at least some lights would be left on. The dog also exhibited signs of being highly agitated, it was not eating much and appeared more docile than usual. Field Incident Regression Transcript D: If you take your mind back to being in the field, and you saw the orbs, just take it from a point where....there was a little bit more happening than you realised, so bring in every possible image. If you want to you can do it as a TV programme, if you want to put up a big screen in front of you now, and see those big orbs in the trees. So you can be sat in that chair now as an audience, see those orbs in the trees. You’re there with your son, on your final journey there, and you’re back in the fog. S: We’re in the van. D: Yep. Ok. You go. S: It’s just so foggy. D: Yeah. S: I’ve got out. D: Yep. S: I’ve got out to see if I can see closer. D: Mhmm. Is there anything in the fog? S: There’s a noise (Makes humming sound) D: Have you heard that noise before? S: Yeah. D: Now what do you say? That it’s a natural weather fog or that it’s something that has been created? S: It’s created. D: Yeah. Now...you heard the noise, did you look around to see where the noise was coming from? S: Above. D: Yep. And then what happened? S: Yeah. D: Was there anyone else...did you feel any other presence? S: Big. D: Yep. Now, did you actually feel any movement of, you know, of yourself? Did you start to... S: Go on a craft. D: Yep. S: They’re all bigger, there’s lots there. All around us. I’m scared. D: Yeah, as you said before, there is fear. What are you scared of? S: It’s new. D: Yeah. So this is where I come in, to just remind you that everything that happened then, you came back safely didn’t you? So the most important thing is that the fear you had then you didn’t know what was going to happen did you? But the good news is that you’re back here, you came down to London, you’re all in one piece, and they fixed your chest, so they’re friends aren’t they? As far as we know. So this is the first time then, if it’s new? S: No. D: Ok. S: First time I’m allowed to remember. D: Ok. So what do you remember from here? S: All behind him. D: Hmmm. S: Try and calm him. D: Hmmm. S: Orange. It’s everything, the floor...is orange, walls...glowing. There’s stages...levels. D: Devils? S: Levels. D: Levels, sorry. Yep. S: On this craft. D: Yep. S: And we’re in the centre, it’s in the middle. D:Yeah. S: Mikey’s there. D: Are you calming down yet? S: (Nods) D: Good. What happened next? S: No. D: Who was around there? S: Can’t. D: Ok, you’ve got a nice visual of it anyway, with the colour, the levels. What were the walls like? S: Glowing. D: Glowing walls. But was there any machinery or objects, or anything else around? S: Craft. D: Yep. Well it was obviously familiar because it wasn’t the first time. Now what makes you, what’s their reason do you think, that they decided you could remember this one? S: I don’t know...I don’t know. Ground Markings Site Simon headed back out to the field the following day, which is when he first discovered an unusual area of disrupted soil. He believes the area is precisely where he saw the white flowing lights and orange orb. Simon searched the surrounding area thoroughly for any signs of an explanation for what he saw – electric cables, used flares, fireworks. However he found nothing that would have accounted for what was observed. There is a reflective scarecrow in the middle of the field, however this is in a completely different position to where the lights were and of course could not have possibly created the twisting and spinning movements that were witnessed. An adequate explanation for this site has now been given by the land owner, however for a time it was highly interesting and had the possibility of being linked with the incident. Below is a description of the site and my analysis work on it, followed by the explanation. The field was furrowed, but it had not been ploughed in many months. The area of interest appeared disrupted, as if the soil and rocks had been churned up. This was pronounced enough to see at a distance, even when we headed to the location in the dark and it was covered with snow. There were two oval-shaped depressions with a slightly raised area of soil in between them. This raised area continued back along the field a bit further than the depressions (approximately 3 metres). The depressions did not have sharp borders, but were clearly noticeable. They were both approximately 8 foot long by 5 foot wide. There was soil discolouration at various places within the area – patches that were a greyish/purple colour rather than the usual brown. This could possibly have been caused by water-logging, or merely have been a different soil type. Many of the stones within the site had got cracks right through them, as if something had exerted force upon them. This seems to be primarily with the chalk stones. There is the possibility this could have been caused by frost cracking, but chalk stones from outside of the area appeared to be rarely cracked. There also appeared to be many more chalk stones within the area than outside (Although this could be because they had been churned up). When I visited the site in January, many of the cracked stones sat undisturbed. Later when I returned in May, many of them had fallen apart into separate chunks. This seems to suggest that whatever caused the cracking had occurred recently. On 5th January, as well as making the measurements, I tried walking across the area holding a compass. However there appeared to be no magnetic interference, even when the compass was held close to the ground. On returning to the location in daylight on the 10th January the area in question was very clear as the frost had not thawed as much as the rest of the field (Visible in the photographs). It is likely that this was because the ground was damper in the area. The hedgerow and vegetation next to and the site appeared out of place, as if depressed by something. The trees and vegetation on the embankment behind the hedge also appear more open than at other areas. Simon feels sure the lights he saw were moving up this embankment as well as out across the field. There does not appear to be any freshly broken branches, so these observations may have a natural explanation. Back in January, it seemed like too much of a coincidence that the lights appeared at the same place as where the markings in the field were located. Simon is certain that they had been situated over the field and not further away because the road that runs along the back of the field is on a raised bank, and the lights were certainly lower down and in front of this. When I returned to the site in May with an independent archaeologist contact for further analysis, the crop in the field had started to grow. However it was immediately clear that there was very little crop growth within the site. This was again evidence that something had clearly taken place at the location, but at the time there was still no clue as to what exactly. After going over the site a square metre at a time and detailing the number of fractured chalk stones found, the difference between the site and the surrounding field became very obvious indeed. We spoke to a farm hand on January 10th while out at the barn on Whaddon Road, and later I managed to contact the land owner by phone to discuss the ground markings. At the time, both were mystified by what the ground markings could be. Below are the transcripts of both of these conversations. Farm-Hand Conversation Transcript SIMON: Good morning, are you the owner of this barn? FARM HAND: No no, I’m just out here putting away these sacks of seed (Points to back of truck). Also I’ll be checking up on the crow scarers. DAVE: Oh yeah, we have been hearing the bangs coming from those. SIMON: Do you know if the farmer would have been down to the fields across there any time recently? (Points in direction of field) FARM HAND: No I don’t think so. Not just lately anyway. SIMON: No, ok. FARM HAND: Not since last year. SIMON: Or since the harvest? Since you had your harvest, would there have been... FARM HAND: Oh yeah, well I put all this in see, after the harvest. DAVE: When would the field have last been ploughed, do you have you any idea? FARM HAND: Errr...last year. DAVE: Right. So towards the end of last year, or back in autumn time? FARM HAND: I don’t think it was ploughed last year because they had corn on it, and then they just cultivated it, they didn’t actually plough it, they just put that seed in and... DAVE: Right. So there wouldn’t have been any farm machinery being used around the fields? FARM HAND: No. SIMON: Is there any farm machinery which would leave an indentation, eight foot by five foot, two of them? FARM HAND: Not across there. SIMON: Identical, no? FARM HAND: Definitely not. SIMON: Ok. Alright I appreciate your time. DAVE: Thanks a lot, bye. Land Owner Interview Transcript I finally got in touch with the land owner, Richard Maycock, on 17th March via telephone. Here is the transcript of that call: DAVE: Hi, this is Dave Hodrien from the Birmingham UFO Group, we spoke earlier on the phone about your fields close to the area of Bletchley. I am available to talk now, would you be able to answer a few questions about those fields? RICHARD: Sure, that’s fine. DAVE: Can I just confirm that you the owner of the corn fields South-East of the barn on Whaddon Road? RICHARD: Yes that’s correct. DAVE: What crop is grown in those fields? RICHARD: It’s a mix of corn and rape. DAVE:When was the last time the fields were ploughed? RICHARD:They were ploughed last August I believe. DAVE: And when did the last harvest take place? RICHARD: Well there’s planted crop in the fields now. DAVE: When is that crop next set to be harvested? Later this year? RICHARD: Yes, around July time. DAVE: Is there any form of irrigation system, either above ground or underground? RICHARD: No there isn’t. DAVE: I heard from the farm hand we spoke with that the fields have natural irrigation due to a nearby stream? Is this correct? RICHARD: Yes there’s a stream that runs along the railway embankment to the south DAVE: Are you aware of any underground pipes or wires that run alongside the edge of those fields? RICHARD: Yes there is a petrol pipe that runs along the embankment. DAVE: Has that pipe at any point sprung a leak or needed fixing done on it in the area of those fields at all? RICHARD: No definitely not. If there was then it would have had to have gone past me as I’m the owner of the land. DAVE: Yea that’s what I thought. Has there been any farm machinery moved around in that area towards the end of last year? RICHARD: No not since the fields were ploughed. DAVE: Ok the area in question that we are looking into is at the side of one of the fields right next to the railway embankment, about half way along it. There is an area of churned up ground which looks very out of place. There are two oval shaped depressions in this about eight foot by five foot in size, and a number of stones that look like they have been split apart by force of some kind. Are you aware of this area at all? RICHARD: No I’m not. DAVE: Do you have any idea as to what could have caused such markings? RICHARD: No I don’t think so, there has certainly been no farm machinery there for a long while. DAVE: Were you out in the area of those fields on the evening of December 30th 2008? RICHARD: No, pretty sure not (laughs). Had better places to be! DAVE: Just out of interest, do you personally believe in UFOs and aliens? RICHARD: I like to remain open minded about it all, I think there must surely be life out there somewhere... DAVE: Ok that pretty much covers what I wanted to ask. Thank you very much for your time. RICHARD: No problem. Gamma Radiation Analysis I sent a number of soil and stone samples from the site to a geologist/ufologist contact in Italy. He was able to run a number of scientific tests on the samples to see if they displayed any abnormal levels of gamma radiation. The results from this analysis came back a negative – the samples display normal levels of gamma radiation. Below is one of the resulting graphs from the soil analysis, showing that after normal background levels of radiation are eliminated from the resulting figures, there is no remaining abnormality. These prove that whatever caused the markings did not emit any gamma radiation. Site Explanation For a time the site did remain a complete mystery, one with many interesting aspects to it. However finally we did get an explanation for it, one which came from the land owner. I had taken a number of photographs of the site when I visited it in May, and I decided to send him these via E-Mail. He soon came back with an explanation. He informed me that the site was a trial pit that had been dug in mid-August 2008 to examine the density of the soil. Seeing the photograph apparently jogged his memory. The pit was dug out by a third party using a JCB-type machine. It is likely that any footprints/vehicle tracks had since vanished due to weathering. The two depressions seen in the area are two holes which were specifically dug out and filled with water to test how fast the water would sink into the ground. The trial pit was dug half way along the field as this would give a more representative view of the area than the field corners. The land owner does not know what has caused the chalk stones to crack apart, but the cause is more than likely water-logging and/or frost. Stone samples are currently being analysed, if a definite reason for the cracking is found this report will be updated. Unless you believe that the land owner is making up a cover story for one reason or another, this is the probable explanation for the site. However the possible vegetation disruption seen nearby may still be linked with the incident. Body Markings Shortly after the night of the incident, Simon found an unusual red marking on his body which seemingly had no explanation. As well as myself, Simon also contacted researcher Phil Hoyle about what he had witnessed. Phil asked him to check himself for physical markings. Simon found an unexplained marking on his left shin. It looked like a perfect equilateral triangle of three small red dots. Simon pointed out the marking to me when I visited on 5th January. It did not hurt when he pressed it, but he had no idea where it had come from. By the time I returned on 10th January the marking had almost vanished, and soon after this he informed me it could no longer be seen. Simon also informed me that he had an unexplained small V-shaped scar which had appeared on his chest several years before. When it first appeared it was red but over time turned tea brown in colour. Birmingham UFO Group Report Author: Dave Hodrien Originally forwarded by Richard Hall Release Date: 31/08/2011 Last Updated: 11/09/2024   In July 2011 Tim (name changed for privacy reasons) got in touch with me via Richplanet.net to report a very interesting incident which happened to him back in October of 1997 or 1998. The incident included the sighting of numerous unidentified beings, two UFOs and possible missing time. This report covers the incident and speculates what may have taken place.   Incident Details   At the time of the incident Tim was on a camping trip with his family and friends in the Lake District. They had set up camp on a hillside along the northern edge of Ullswater. It was late evening and the weather was clear. Tim was sitting next to the campfire. Everyone else had gone to sleep in the tents. The only light source was the fire itself. The site was surrounded by trees.   Tim suddenly noticed some movement quite close by off to his right. He looked into the darkness but initially could not see anything. He thought it must be his eyes playing tricks on him so he looked away. When he looked back a second time he made out several figures standing in the shadows underneath one of the trees. To the right of the tree appeared to be tall figure of medium build. They appeared to be wearing a hooded cloak which went right down to the ground. To the left of the tree were two very short beings which looked about knee height. It appeared to Tim that the tall being was in charge and the two short ones were waiting to be ordered to do something. It was too dark to make out any details on the figures.   The tall figure had one arm raised and was beckoning him with its finger, similar to how an adult would do with a child. Tim started at the figures a short while, then dismissed them and turned away. He thought maybe he was tired and having some sort of hallucination brought on by this, although he did not physically feel tired or else he would have gone to bed along with everyone else.   The next thing he became aware of, he found himself standing in a clearing a short distance away from the campsite. He knew of the clearing as it was the best way to gain a view of the lake. He was looking across Ullswater to the South South East. On the far side of the lake he could see two glowing blue egg shaped objects. They appeared to be self-luminescent, and did not light up the surroundings. The objects were skimming through the air between the peaks of two mountains. They appeared to be about 60 feet in the air. They were travelling quite fast, at least 70 mph, and moved up and down in a wave like motion as they went.   Tim cannot remember anything else that took place that night. The following morning he awoke to find himself outside alongside the camp fire. He remembered both the beings by the tree and the glowing egg shaped objects. He went over to the tree where the beings had been but there were no footprints, so he did not mention it to anyone else. The whole incident seemed like a vivid dream.   Incident Analysis   The events that Tim remembers are very interesting indeed, and there are a number of aspects which suggest that he may have been abducted. He only saw the silhouettes of the beings but the details he did make out are important. Tim states that there was a tall being wearing what looked like a hooded cloak, and two very short beings. Many experiencers have reported seeing hooded figures appear in their room prior to an abduction experience. Could it have been one of these beings? The very humanoid looking species known as the Nordics are often reported as wearing hooded robes, so perhaps it could have been a Nordic.   The shorter beings could well have been two Grey beings. Greys are generally about 3-4 feet in height. The beings that Tim describes were very short indeed, no higher than 2 feet. However the height of Greys does tend to vary quite a lot so this cannot be put out of the question.   Could the figures have been nothing more than some people playing a prank on Tim? This seems unlikely for a number of reasons. Tim says the area where they were camping was quite remote and nobody would have known they were there. If they were people joking around then two of the three would have to have been young children due to their very short height. It is highly improbable someone with two young kids would have been sneaking around the campsite late at night. Also why would they just stand there and beckon for Tim to approach, and then when he turned away just leave the area without doing anything else. If they wanted him to approach surely they would have spoken and asked him directly?   We must also take into account the fact that it was at this point that Tim appears to have lost some time. If they were just people playing around then surely Tim would have recalled what happened next and just gone to sleep like normal? He certainly would not have gone wandering off away from camp to the clearing where he next found himself. After turning away from the figures, the next thing Tim remembers is overlooking the lake and seeing the UFOs. This suggests two things. Firstly it suggests that the two incidents were linked. And secondly it suggests that something else took place between the two, something which had been wiped from his conscious memory. It is very common for contactees to report missing time. The ETs have a way of blocking out memories of the experience, probably to reduce the trauma of the individual.   The glowing egg-shaped objects that he remembers seeing are again very interesting. Due to their speed of movement I feel it is unlikely they were blue LED balloons, hot air balloons or other lit inflatables. Tim seems to be describing two fast moving, controlled solid objects. They were clearly not conventional aircraft or helicopters. UFOs often are seen to glow after dark, probably due to the energy field projected around them. Could this image of him standing in the clearing watching the UFOs be a fragmented memory which has returned to him? Tim has said that this feels like a vivid dream, and this is often the way that these memories can appear.   Another possibility is that one or both of the incidents was nothing more than a dream. Perhaps the darkness combined with shadows cast by the firelight caused the illusion of figures standing nearby. Maybe the movement Tim sensed nearby was nothing more than an animal moving in the undergrowth. Perhaps he then dropped off by the fire and had a dream which happened to be of UFOs. Maybe both the beings and the UFOs were dreams. Tim certainly spent at least some of the night sleeping outside as this is where he found himself when he awoke in the morning. However it seems a little unlikely that he would first see unusual figures nearby which could be interpreted as ETs, and then following this have a vision of UFOs.   I have recommended that Tim is regressed to see if any further information about the incident comes to light. There are many elements to this incident which suggest that something unusual took place, something perhaps involving ET contact. Birmingham UFO Group Report Author: Dave Hodrien Originally forwarded by Richard Hall Release Date: 17/08/2011 Last Updated: 11/09/2024   Sighting Details   In 1968 Stuart Conway and his work colleague had a fascinating sighting of two UFOs which were either out in space or in the upper atmosphere. The men were walking home around 6am after a night shift. It was still dark and the stars were out in the sky overhead. It was a clear morning with good visibility. They stopped for a short time to have a chat. As they talked, Stuart looked up at the stars, something which he often likes to do.   He noticed a glowing white light moving up from the horizon in their direction. Naturally he assumed this was a satellite. He pointed it out to his work mate. It was directly overhead when suddenly it stopped moving! Both men were immediately aware that it could not be a satellite or drifting space debris but must be under control.   They continued to watch and after several seconds noticed a second moving light travelling across the sky at a 90 degree angle to which the first one had approached. It was moving directly for the stationary object. As it reached it the two lights seemed to become one. This remained stationary for a number of minutes. After this, the lights suddenly separated again. One went back to where it had come from and then halted in the sky. The other vastly increased in acceleration and shot away extremely fast in the same direction it had been going! It was gone within a second.   The witnesses watched the remaining object for a while but in the end decided it was not going to move again and so headed for home. In the morning Stuart checked the daily paper to see if anything had been reported but there was nothing.   Sighting Analysis   This is obviously a distant sighting but a very impressive one due to the manoeuvres the objects performed. It is hard to say for definite whether the objects truly were out in orbit or at high altitude, as it is very hard to accurately judge height without a point of reference. As this sighting occurred in the 1960s two distant drones or white LED balloons were clearly not responsible for what was seen. They could not have been lit inflatables due to the controlled manoeuvres they performed. The speed that one of the objects left the area puts out of the question that they were two distant helicopters. They appeared to be out in space and were probably reflecting light in the same way that satellites and space debris does. However due to the fact that they changed speeds, stopped and appeared to merge they cannot have been either of these, and must have been under direct control. Their manoeuvres designated intelligence and purpose, they were not randomly drifting.   If the objects really were out in space then this leaves two possibilities. They were either two human-made spacecraft docking with each other for some purpose, or were something else entirely, possibly craft of ET origin. The fact that one of the objects shot away at an incredibly fast speed from a stationary position suggests the later of these explanations, as at that distance even an object travelling at hundreds of miles an hour would have appeared to move quite slowly.   I feel that the witnesses may well have observed two genuine UFOs interacting with one another.   Copyright Dave Hodrien 2024

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 2011 Last Updated: 11/09/2024   Unfortunately not much is known about this case. I received several drawings a number of years ago with some brief notes, and I’ve released this report to get the reported incidents down on record, but I was unable to get back in touch with the experiencer to gain additional details.   Flying Triangle Sighting   The individual (name unknown) had a sighting of a black triangular object with five bright white oval-shaped lights positioned along each of the edges. This sighting occurred on 14th July 2005, but the exact location is not known at present.   Information Download   The experiencer reported that they were shown the image of another planet telepathically. It is unknown if this occurred during the sighting or later on. They describe initially seeing darkness with a reddish coloured dot. However in the vision they then began speeding towards this dot, and it became apparent that it was a planet. They ended up so close to it that they could make out mountains, valleys and cloud formations. They stated that they could not stress how quick it got bigger and bigger and they thought they were going to crash into it.   Body Marking   At an unknown date after the UFO sighting the experiencer found a triangular-shaped marking on their chest with three circular markings within it. It is unknown how they discovered this, its size or how long it remained for. Conclusion Due to the current lack of information it would be wrong of me to speculate too much as to the explanation of these various incidents. However I have dealt with many cases involving large black triangular-shaped craft, some of which have had extremely similar lighting. I have also investigated other cases where people have been shown telepathic visions of other worlds, generally referred to as an "information download". Could this have been a vision of the being's own planet of origin, and if so why would they have shared it with this individual? Body markings are a commonly reported after effect of contact experiences. The shape of the marking certainly looks artificial in nature rather than something which would have occurred naturally.   If the witness gets back in touch I may be able to add to this report at some point in the future. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Year: 2011 Last Updated: 11/09/2024   On 30th May Andrew Hipwell got in touch with me via Richard Hall’s website. He described a very interesting UFO sighting which he had experienced back in February 2001. As I was actually familiar with the area of the sighting, and Andrew still lives in the area, I decided to arrange to meet up with him on 6th June 2011 to go over the sighting in more depth and visit the location where it took place.   Sighting Details   Back in 2001, Andrew was a student at Birmingham University. Most of the time he would not have lectures till the afternoon, so got into the habit of staying up very late. One night in mid to late February 2001 he decided to go out for a night-time jog around the local area. It was around 3am and he was just jogging past Blossomfield Tennis Club on Widney Lane. The weather was clear but it was quite cold.   For some reason he looked up above the trees to his left which ran alongside the grounds of the club. It was now that he noticed a strange aerial object. There was something hovering a short distance above one of the trees, about 30 feet off the ground.   The object was about 20 feet in diameter and the base of it was elliptical in shape. It was obsidian black in colour, and there were four metallic silver strips which led from the sides of the object into the centre of its underside. It was partially lit by a nearby street light. It was moving extremely slowly in the direction of the street light, and was also making a faint but constant hissing sound that was barely audible. Andrew could barely believe what he was seeing. However he was not frightened of the object, he was more curious. He went and stood directly underneath it and looked up at its underside. He felt sure that it was not a balloon or conventional object of any kind. The movements it was making seemed deliberate and controlled. As far as he is aware the object did not interact with him in any way.   After staring up at the UFO for about 10 seconds he then continued his jog. He is not sure why he did this, rather than remain in the area and see what happened next. About 10 seconds later he glanced back down the road and realised the object had completely vanished.   Over the years Andrew has told numerous people what he saw that night, to mixed reaction. He feels that what he saw that night was extraterrestrial in origin, and was a craft of some kind. Of course he has no direct proof of this but it seems unlikely to him that the object was military owned given the circumstances under which it was seen. The incident left a lasting impression on him and changed his views on the UFO subject forever.   Sighting Analysis   This is an interesting sighting of a very unusual object. The object clearly was not a conventional aircraft. Could it have been an unusual helium-filled inflatable of some kind? Could the hissing sound heard have been gas slowly escaping from the object, propelling it along? If the object was mundane then this would be the most probable explanation. However there are numerous aspects which do not fit in with this. The object seems too large to have been a drifting inflatable. If it was an inflatable then it would not have suddenly vanished a mere 10 seconds after the witness had stopped looking at it, it would have still been visible in the air. Also we must consider the location and time of the sighting. It seems quite unlikely that there would have been an inflatable of this odd shape and size drifting in the early hours of the morning over Solihull.   If it was an advanced craft of some kind, then I too feel it is more likely to have been alien in origin than military for the same reasons as the witness. There would be no purpose whatsoever for the military to fly a secretly built craft over such a highly populated area at low altitude, even in the middle of the night. If it was a genuine craft then this may explain why the witness only stared at it a short while before continuing on his way – often when people encounter craft or beings they act differently to how they would normally do in such a situation, and become overly complacent towards what is happening. This has been seen time and time again with cases. Also this could explain why the object mysteriously vanished within 10 seconds. Perhaps it flew away extremely fast, or even made itself invisible. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 05/08/2008 Last Updated: 10/09/2024 Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used As far as I am aware, there was only one witness to the unusual object sighted in the sky in August 2005 above Kitts Green, Birmingham – my close friend "Mike". He has occasionally brought it up in conversation and I decided as I am now a member of the Birmingham UFO Group I would finally get down the full details of his sighting for the record, especially as it occurred in the local area. I invited Mike over to my house on 13th June, which is where I conducted the interview about what he witnessed several years ago. The sighting began in the early evening of a Saturday in August 2005 in the suburban area of Kitts Green. As it occurred so long ago, Mike could not give me the specific date. It was a clear, calm and sunny evening, around 6pm, and he had stepped out onto the front drive of his house on Haywood Road for a cigarette. He suddenly noticed a strange buzzing noise coming from the sky. Looking up to his right he spotted a very strange flying object above the nearby houses of Burleton Road. It looked like a silver coloured cigar shaped object, with a brown ball sitting on top of it at each end. Jon estimates the object was about 20 foot in length and was hovering about 50 foot in the air. He was confused as to what it could possibly be, and why it was making the unusual buzzing sound. The object was already moving in a straight line away from him when he spotted it, and it remained at a slow speed for the duration of the sighting. However the strangest thing was that it seemed to be slowly rocking left and right on it’s axis. He watched the unsual object for about a minute until it went out of sight behind the houses. He did not think to follow it but was mystified by what he had seen. Mike seems completely open about what he saw, and I have no reason to believe he would make anything up. He was excited to tell myself and my brother about it soon after he witnessed it , as he knew we had an interest in UFO’s. He feels privileged to have seen something, but to this day has no real explanation as to what it was. He thought at first it could have been something radio controlled. There is a park right next to the roads where the sighting took place. Could someone have been flying an unusual model of some kind? This would have explained the buzzing noise it was making. However this seems unlikely due to both the size of the object, and the fact that Mike could not make out any propellers or other means of flight. If it was a balloon or kite of some kind, then why did it make a buzzing sound? Also he said it’s movement pattern seemed too regular to be a balloon, for example the strange but constant rocking of it. Other more mundane explanations are hard to fathom due to the very odd shape of the object. We may never find out what the strange object that Mike sighted back in 2005 was. I checked the internet for other sightings from the area to see if there were further witnesses, but this came up a blank. The most unusual feature of this sighting was the brown ball shapes sitting on top of the main cigar-shaped part of the object. A while back in UFO Magazine I remember reading about a similar shaped object, however there were four balls sitting on top of it rather than two. There is still the possibility that the two objects were related in some way. Without an accurate date of the sighting it is hard to take the investigation further at this time.
