Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 12/10/2022 Last Updated: 13/10/2022 On 25th September 2022 I was contacted by a man named Steve Wheeldon who wanted to report a recent UFO he had observed from Marston Green and captured on camera earlier in the month. When we chatted via Facebook Messenger he also discussed two other previous sightings. As these incidents are independent and un-related to one another they have been written up as separate reports. The first of these is documented in this report. There are links at the bottom which will lead to Steve’s other sightings. Sighting Details At secondary school Steve stayed on an extra couple of years than normal due to an art course he was taking. In late July 1975, at the age of 18, he attended a school trip to Majorca. He and the other students stayed at a hotel on the seafront of Santa Ponsa on the South West of the island. Unfortunately Steve is unable to recall the name of the specific hotel. Steve shared his room on the third floor with two other school friends. The room had a balcony which overlooked the sea to the South. It was late evening, at least 9.30pm, and the sunlight was fading in the sky, although there were no stars yet visible. It was a pleasant and clear evening after an extremely hot day. Steve noticed an orange orb of light in the distance off to the right at an elevation of about 30 degrees. The light was completely stationary and he didn’t think much of it at first. However he did point it out to his friends, thinking it might be a bright planet, despite the fact that no stars were visible yet. Suddenly the object instantly accelerated and shot down and to the left, before instantly halting again! It only remained still for a split-second before moving again, this time continuing to the East but also ascending, but not as high as its initial position had been. Once more it very briefly halted and then moved a third time, left and downwards. After several seconds it then vanished without trace! Steve was stunned by what he had just witnessed. He was immediately certain that it was something highly unusual, due to the speed that it had moved at combined with the obviously controlled manoeuvres. It was clearly far away from their location, so had moved a number of miles in mere seconds! He turned to his friends and exclaimed “We’ve just seen a UFO!” Simultaneously they both dismissed the incident, both claiming to have not seen it. This angered Steve a little as he knew that they too had been looking at the light after he had initially pointed it out to them. He felt that they were in denial because of how hard it was to explain. However he decided not to contest their statements as he did not want to cause an argument. Sighting Analysis This was clearly a distant yet very impressive sighting. There is nothing mundane which could adequately explain what Steve and his friends witnessed that evening. As it was observed by all three witnesses for a period of time before moving it was clearly present in the sky and not just a light reflection. If it had just been a sighting of an amber coloured orb which did not move, or moved on a relatively straight course, then there would of course have been multiple possible explanations including a distant aircraft, sky lantern or meteorite. However the extreme manoeuvres observed mean these explanations can be dismissed. No normal aircraft could have moved in such a manner at such a speed, and this sighting took place decades before drones were commercially available. The fact that the object also suddenly vanished from sight in a clear sky is another fascinating aspect. I have investigated many incidents where manoeuvres such as these have been witnessed, and I feel that this certainly points towards the sighting being of an advanced craft under intelligent control. It is possible that there were other witnesses from other positions along the sea front who are yet to come forward. Steve has had two other more recent sightings, both of which occurred in 2022. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 12/10/2022 Last Updated: 13/10/2022 Note: For privacy reasons certain location details have been omitted This case report covers the second of three sightings reported by a man named Steve Wheeldon on 25th September 2022. In addition to the incident covered here, he has also had a historic sighting back in 1975 in Majorca, and a later sighting which prompted him to initially get in touch and which he managed to capture on camera. Due to the fact that these three experiences are separate to one another they have been written up as three individual reports. There are links at the base of this report which lead to the other two. Sighting Details Steve enjoys looking up at the night sky. There was a full moon on the night of 11th August 2022. At around 9pm Steve was out in the back garden of his house in Marston Green, marvelling at the clarity of the moon. It was fully dark and the stars were visible overhead. The back garden faces to the South West West. He suddenly noticed a bright white orb of light off to his left coming in from the South and heading Northward. He initially thought it might be a satellite brightly reflecting the sun’s rays. As the light travelled to the North on a straight course at a slow speed he realised it was going to pass in front of the moon. When it reached the edge, it looked like it passed behind it. Steve waited for a number of seconds, expecting it to reappear out of the other side. However it did not. The light did not re-appear, which he found quite confusing. He continued to stare at the sky to see if it would come back but there was no sign of it. After a while he headed back inside the house. Sighting Analysis White orbs of light seen crossing the night sky can have a number of explanations. It was moving far too slowly to be a meteorite, and certainly appeared to be outside of the atmosphere, although this can sometimes be hard to judge. If it was in the atmosphere then possible explanations could include a distant aircraft, drone or even a white coloured LED balloon. Marston Green is immediately North East of Birmingham International Airport so obviously there are going to be quite a few planes in the area. However a satellite in orbit seems far more likely based on the witness’s description. Assuming it was a satellite, it is possible that it merely appeared to pass behind the moon, and instead was travelling in front of it, lost in the brightness of the glow. Also it is possible that as it passed in front of the moon it rotated in a certain way which meant it was no longer catching the sunlight. This would give the appearance of it having vanished without trace. Based on the facts I feel this is the most probable explanation for what was observed. While this sighting is likely to have a mundane explanation, Steve has had two other sightings, both of which are arguably more unusual. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 06/09/2022 In August 2022 I was contacted by a man named Jason Thornton who wanted validation on some unusual experiences which had previously taken place. I was recommended to him off another witness and researcher he had spoken with at the Awakening conference in Blackpool which he attended. We discussed his experiences over numerous video and phone calls, which has allowed me to write up this report. During the investigation I was also contacted by his ex-partner and long term friend Lisa, who provided some comments about Jason and his experiences. Jason unfortunately suffers from both Multiple Sclerosis and Fibromyalgia, which can sometimes affect his ability to recollect things, and means he finds it too painful to do detailed drawings. However he has done some basic sketches, and I have also created mock up images based on his descriptions. Lit Disc Sighting For most of his life Jason has lived on Sunningdale Gardens, Burnley. In 1984 when he was 13 years old he would regularly go camping with his friend Brendan, who lived on the same road. Brendan’s house was on the top path of the road, overlooking one of the open grass-covered fields of Little Toms Farm. It was in this field that they would camp, close enough for Brendan’s father to check up on them from the upper window. One night in mid-October they had set up a tent about 2/3 of the way across the field. It was a largely clear night, with some patches of light cloud but plenty of stars still visible. They had a bonfire lit to cook baked potatoes and toast marshmallows. It was about 3 am and they were sitting next to the fire chatting. Suddenly they heard a low continuous humming sound. Thinking it was an aircraft in the vicinity they looked up into the sky overhead. At this moment the sound abruptly stopped. It was now that they noticed a circular silhouetted object above them. It seemed to be about 1000 feet up, although this was quite hard to judge. They could just see the round dark shape blocking out the stars. A moment later a number of multi-coloured lights lit up around the outer rim of the object. These lights were static and did not change in brightness. Not exactly sure of what they were looking at, Jason said to Brendan “It’s a weird time for an aircraft to be in the sky.” Brendan responded “I don’t think planes are round or have lights of those colours on them.” Agreeing with him, Jason said “Oh no they don't, it must be a UFO then!” At this point Brendan looked away from it, clearly un-nerved by its presence. Jason continued to watch it. Several seconds later the object suddenly shot away to the South East East in the direction of the main buildings of Little Toms Farm. It moved with instant acceleration and at an extremely fast speed. Brendan asked “Is it still there?” to which Jason responded “No, it’s gone.” After the sighting Brendan was disturbed and wanted to go back home, but Jason convinced him to stay. Soon they got into their tent and settled down to sleep. In the morning, when he got home, Jason told his father about what they’d seen. His father seemed quite sceptical of what had taken place and dismissed it. Out Of Body In his early twenties Jason moved in as a lodger with an elderly couple who lived on Hurtley Street (now demolished). When he was 24 he had two out-of-body experiences within the space of one week. He was lying on the sofa in the living room at around 1 am watching television. He thinks that he then dropped off to sleep. His next recollection was of floating up above the sofa about 4 feet in the air. He was looking downwards and could see himself lying there asleep. He had no idea what was going on and thought to himself “What the hell’s going on here?” His view was fixed in a downwards position. Due to the bizarreness of the situation he did not try moving at all. For what seemed to be about 15 minutes, the experience ended and he suddenly found himself back in his body and waking up on the settee. In shock he sat up and wondered what had just happened. Three days later exactly the same thing took place! Once again he was lying on the settee and dropped off to sleep, then found himself floating and looking down on himself. This time he tried reaching out but found that he could not move at all. Again the experience seemed to last for about 15 minutes before suddenly ending. These incidents are classic examples of what is known as an out-of-body experience. Quite often during these it is not possible to move. I myself have had a very similar experience when I was knocked out with gas at the dentist and 14 years old. While OBE’s are not strictly linked with contact in any way, quite a number of contactees have reported having them in addition to their contact experiences, so I have decided to include them. First Abduction Recollection On an evening in mid-December 2019 Jason went to bed like normal. At some point during the night he started to have what appeared to be an extremely vivid dream. In this dream he found himself at the top end of an upholstered sofa covered in stripes of various shades of brown. He was wearing the T-shirt and underwear he had gone to sleep in, but was lying on top of a female humanoid being who was in a seated position facing him. She had white coloured hair, pale coloured skin and very blue eyes. She was wearing a pale blue coloured pinafore-like outfit which reminded him of a hospital matron. This suit happened to be the same colour as that which he decided to paint his bedroom walls with when he was 14. Wondering what was going on he tried to look round at the room, but found that he was semi-paralyzed. He could only tilt his neck to look round to his left and right. Looking to his left he saw that the sofa was quite long and went down most of the length of the room. On it were other couples, paired up just as he was. Each couple was made up of a man, none of whom he recognised, and all of which appeared to be wearing different night clothes. Under each of them was a pale haired humanoid woman wearing the same clothing as the one under him was. The room he was in appeared to be 16 feet square. It reminded him of his mother’s old living room. The carpeted floor had brown and beige coloured squares on it. Off to his left and behind him was a low coffee table of some kind. On the far corner of the room to his left was an open doorway. Half way along the far wall was a fireplace. Standing in front of this fireplace was another humanoid being. This being was again female, and about 6 foot 3 inches in height. Like the beings on the sofa she had long straight white coloured hair, pale skin and extremely blue eyes and was wearing the same clothing, which went right down to her feet. She looked almost human except for her chin which was slightly more pointed than would be usual. She then heard the being audibly say “Over the table”. A moment later he saw that his own mother was walking across the room behind him. She stepped over the corner of the coffee table, continued walking and exited the room via the door in the corner. He assumed she must have emerged from another door but he could not see this as he was unable to turn right round. The below sketch was done by Jason to show the layout of the room. The rectangle at the top left is the sofa. The square alongside it is the coffee table. The two dots near the bottom is the position of the standing Nordic being. The gap with dots at the lower left is the open doorway. The gap with dots at the top right is an assumed other doorway which he did not actually see. Lastly the diagonal line is the supposed path his mother took across the room: While the entire situation with the beings under him and these other men seemed sexual in nature, there was no penetration involved. After what seemed to be about 20 minutes, he felt like he had an orgasm. After this the entire room was suddenly bathed in bright white light. When this happened the colour of the standing Nordic's outfit also changed to neon green. The colour reminded him of the colour he had painted his bedroom walls when he was 14 years old. Jason’s next recollection was of waking up in his bed. It was morning time but he remembered what had happened extremely vividly. This shocked him, as he hardly ever remembers his dreams, even back to childhood. This fact immediately made it seem significant to him. After getting up he contacted Lisa and informed her about what happened. She was also impressed as she was aware of the fact that he usually doesn’t recall dreams. Later in the day he contacted Nick Pope about the experience, who advised him to go to MUFON. He sent the information but never heard back from them. To many this would probably just seem like a strange dream. However there are aspects of it which link with the contact phenomenon. While many people see the actual surroundings of the craft when they are taken, sometimes the individual will experience what is known as a screen memory. If this has taken place then they may recall either the beings or the surroundings differently. It is unknown whether this is something being done on purpose by the beings, or something which happens naturally, it may be a mix of both. Often the screen memory is something familiar to them, so I find it interesting that Jason said the room he found himself in reminded him of his mother’s old living room. This may also be the reason why she was present in the room at one point, perhaps she herself was actually a being masking its appearance. The humanoid beings which Jason describes are what are commonly referred to as Nordics or Pleidians. This type/species is extremely human in appearance but are regularly (though not always) described as having extremely blue eyes and white/blonde coloured hair. One of the observed agendas seemingly taking place with contact appears to be the creation of hybrid beings through the harvesting of human DNA. Sometimes abduction experiences can have sexual elements to them and it is believed by many that this is linked with this. There are some oddities with Jason’s recollection. The room was not entirely like his mother’s living room, just reminiscent. For example his mother’s living room did not have a fireplace. And of course the sofa was much longer than the one his mother used to have as there were many other couples also on it to his left. When he heard the standing Nordic being watching over proceedings it was clearly speaking to what appeared to be his mother as she crossed the room behind him. However Nordics usually tend to talk telepathically not audibly, so why would he have heard this in the first place? Also the whole situation is bizarre - if it was a being using a screen memory, and the room was also a screen memory, then why were the Nordic beings showing their true appearance? And why would the Nordic in pale blue need to instruct this other being to step over the table? Even if there was something else in the room outside of Jason's range of vision which was blocking the path, surely this being would have been able to work this out for itself? There is also the matter of what took place on the sofa. Jason said that he was still in his night clothes. In most cases of this type people tend to recall being unclothed and engaging in full sexual activity. It is possible that this was again a screen memory and some of the details he recalled were different to what was actually taking place. What is standard is that he felt under control in this situation and just went along with it, he did not question what he was doing or why, or try to fight against it. The other people he saw, possibly other abductees, again did not appear to be trying to fight back. There are many other encounters where this altered frame of mind has been described. Strangely Jason also incorrectly recalled when this incident took place. In the summer of 2022 he was at Awakening conference and telling someone about the experience alongside Lisa. To his knowledge it had taken place earlier in the year, maybe around March. However Lisa corrected him, informing him it had taken place over two years before this. This deeply confused him, but when he went back and checked sent E-Mails and messages that he found this to be true. Second Abduction Recollection In late July 2022 Jason had a second peculiar dream which like before had elements possibly linking it with contact. This time he found himself near one corner of what looked like a school gym, somewhat similar to the one from his own secondary school. On the far wall there were a number of climbing bars. Standing between him and these were sixty male children, standing in six rows of ten. They looked to be about 10 years old. They had very pale skin, white hair and bright blue eyes, similar to the Nordic beings he had seen in his previous dream. They were unclothed and were all facing away from him, seemingly staring towards the climbing bars. Jason tried looking around and found that he was once again largely paralyzed. In his mind, he started to images of his ex-wife’s face. He stood there staring at the unusual rows of children before him. This seemed to go on for about 15 minutes. He then heard a male voice come from behind him which suddenly said to him “These are your children.” Confused by this statement he replied “What are you talking about, I have four children.” The voice explained “No, these are your star hybrid children from the breeding program from the last time we took you about two and a half year ago.” In shock at this Jason exclaimed “Get away!” The voice continued, saying “Do you want to clothe them, they might be cold.” Starting to accept a responsibility for the children because of what the voice had told him he said “Yeah go on then. Where are their clothes?” The voice replied “Over there.” Looking to the far right corner Jason saw an open doorway. Assuming that this is what the voice was referring to he tried walking towards it and found that he could, even though he could still not turn round. It was like he was being allowed to do certain things but blocked from moving freely. He entered the doorway and found himself in a side room which reminded him of a changing room. There hung up was a row of pale blue coloured single-piece body suits. Again Jason has drawn a quick sketch to confirm the surroundings. The many dots are the hybrid children standing in rows. The oval shape near the base is his position. The lines to the rear left of this are the position the voice seemed to be coming from. The gap at the top right is the entrance to the side room which contained the body suits: Calling through the doorway, he called out “Come on”, trying to call over all of the children at once. However the voice then said to him “Take them ten by ten.” Jason complied with this request, and ten by ten called the children over to the side room and pulled the body suits over them before sending them back out. This of course took quite a long time, Jason thinks at least 45 minutes. There were exactly the right amount of body suits hanging up. Once he had finished clothing the last ten children, the voice said to him "Now you've clothed them you know you've got children in the stars." At this moment the dream ended. Once again Jason woke up and found it was morning time. Like before he was absolutely shocked at what he remembered. To him it felt like validation that the previous dream two years before had actually been what he suspected it was, an abduction. It also seemed to confirm that he really was part of the hybrid breeding program, and that they had abducted him a second time so that he could interact with the beings they had created using his DNA. Like before, although the dream was quite bizarre, there are elements which could suggest this was a contact experience. Once again he found himself in somewhere similar to something from his past, a large room reminiscent of his secondary school gym. There is the possibility this was again a screen memory, and that Jason was actually aboard a craft. In cases involving ET hybrids, the individuals involved are sometimes taken and introduced to their offspring. Often this will be while the beings are still in infancy, however at other times they will see them as older children or even adults. It is unknown why this is done but one theory is that it is to establish some kind of emotional bond between them. In many cases the hybrids seem to be a mix of human and Grey, however in this case they appeared to be half human, half Nordic, which of course would link back to what happened in his previous dream. Like before he was semi-paralyzed and stopped from fully turning around. It was like the owner of the voice did not want him to see what it looked like, and so prevented him from seeing it. It can be assumed that the being was talking to him telepathically, as he could still hear it clearly when he was standing in the other room on the far side of the gym, at this distance it would have have been very quiet or inaudible. Jason thinks that the reason he was shown images of his ex-wife’s face in his mind is that she was the mother of his normal children on Earth, and he was now being shown his other children. Again there are some very strange aspects to what Jason remembered. How was he able to cross the gym and enter the side room, but was unable to turn around and see the being standing behind him? Usually someone is either paralyzed during a contact experience or able to move around freely. Why would the being require him to clothe sixty hybrid children one at a time? While this would clearly result in direct interaction between him and each of them in turn, which is potentially why it was required, surely it would have made more sense for him to just meet and potentially speak with them? Also what was the significance of him having to dress them ten at a time? Maybe this was done to prevent them all crowding him during this process, but it is still rather odd. I have not had anyone else report being asked to dress hybrids before. Also the information the voice disclosed to him seemed to be very specific. Usually ETs are far more cryptic with what they say to people, or don’t say anything at all to them. Jason was told precisely what these beings were, seemingly validating both experiences in a single sentence. If they were fine with him knowing exactly what had taken place why mask the surroundings with screen memories or control him using partial paralysis? These are all points which need to be taken into consideration. Conclusions Jason has had some interesting and varied experiences. There is no evidence that the UFO sighting he had at 13 years old was linked with what happened later on, but it is certainly impressive. As Jason himself observed, normal aircraft are not disc-shaped nor have multi-coloured lights which suddenly appear. And the speed at which the object shot away into the distance certainly points towards this being a genuine craft sighting and puts mundane explanations out of the question. There was no missing time with this experience or aspects which point towards him or his friend being abducted. Obviously the experiences which have affected Jason the most are the two unusual dreams he recollected. Both of these have aspects linking them with contact, and could potentially have been abductions with screen memories partially obscuring his memories of what took place. According to Jason he very rarely remembers his dreams, so this aspect itself could point towards them being something more. Like Jason, Lisa certainly believes that these two incidents were very significant. In her written statement to me she confirmed and supported some of the things which he mentioned. “I was with Jason as a partner for a while, but I’ve known him about 30 years. As you know he has MS and his memory has slowly gone. I say to people he was just talking to that he'll have forgotten your name as soon as he walks away. Sometimes he'd fight in his sleep and when he woke up I'd ask ‘What were you dreaming of, because you seemed like you were beating someone up?’ He'd reply ‘I can't remember.’ But this with his contact it’s the same story he remembers, down to fine detail. We had a bit of an argument about when it took place. He said it was 6 months ago, but I told him it was nearly 2 and a half years ago. To be honest I know it word for word because he only had me who believed him, and believe me it's changed him in so many ways. Until the Awakening 2022 conference he was scared, now he seems freer if you know what I mean, and is not as scared, and seems to now understand his experience.” However it is important to consider all possibilities. It is clear from speaking with Jason that he has looked into the subject quite a lot and has some very opinionated views on it, he is far from what would be termed a “blank slate”. The fact that he immediately contacted Nick Pope and MUFON soon after having the first dream shows that he considered it to be abduction related from the off. There are also some truly bizarre aspects to both of the dreams, things which don’t really make much sense. Therefore there remains the possibility that these were nothing more than two vivid dreams, both of which were themed on what he had read/heard about the subject, but also mixed in other memories from his past. The only waking experience which Jason has had was the UFO sighting back in his early teens, which may not necessarily be linked with what happened many years later. Therefore it is going to be down to your personal opinion as to whether you feel he was abducted and is part of the on-going hybrid program, or has merely had some strange dreams which have affected him in a deep way. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 16/08/2022 At 2pm on 9th August 2022 I was contacted by a man named Ash on Facebook Messenger. He reported that he had both spotted and filmed two UFOs two hours earlier from outside of his work place in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent. This report covers the details of the incident and provides an analysis of the photograph and video recording. Sighting Details At mid-day on 9th August Ash was standing outside in the vicinity ofHobson Street, Burslem. As it was a clear sunny day he looked up into the sky. He noticed two high altitude commercial jets heading in roughly the same direction to the South South East leaving contrails behind them. It was now that he noticed a smaller (possibly more distant) white cigar-shaped object following along behind the jets without any contrail visible. The sunlight was reflecting off its surface. No wings or tail could be made out. He grabbed his mobile phone, zoomed in and attempted to record the jets and object on video, but could not stabilize the camera well enough with to get a clear shot. The white cigar-shaped object appeared to be gaining on the jets. As it got close to them it seemed to increase in speed. It was now that Ash noticed a second black or dark-coloured object up and to the left in the sky, but still situated between the two jets. It also appeared to be travelling in the same direction at about the same speed. Although the objects were both quite distant Ash decided to take a photograph of them. As soon as he had done so, the white object suddenly massively increased in speed. It shot between the two jets and vanished into the distance in less than a second! A moment later the black object then also suddenly moved, shooting off diagonally away and upward, again vanishing without trace. The two jets continued their course across the sky. One of Ash’s work colleagues also happened to be out in the yard at the time. He went over and asked him whether he had seen it too, but he had not spotted them. Sighting Analysis The objects seen by Ash were clearly at quite high altitude, and so it is not possible to really confirm their size or shape. However the most important aspect of this sighting is the extreme flight manoeuvres they performed. Below is a link to the video footage Ash took of the white object following the jets: https://youtube.com/shorts/eWcib41mAXQ?feature=share Although slightly wobbly in places, it is possible to see the white object between the two jets. It just looks like a thin white line. The darker object does not appear to be present at this time, meaning that it only appeared briefly. It is a shame that Ash did not keep the video running for longer and manage to film the extreme increase in acceleration of the object, as this is the most impressive aspect of the incident. He informed me that he stopped filming because he was finding it too hard to focus on the object. Below is the photograph Ash took soon afterwards which shows both the objects: Zoomed view of the white UFO: Zoomed view of the dark UFO: Ash confirmed that the dark UFO was seen by his own eyes for a number of seconds, so a passing bird/insect or drifting debris close to the camera lens can be ruled out If there was just the video and photograph to go on I would have suggested that the white object was merely a third aeroplane at a higher altitude, one which did not happen to be leaving a contrail in its wake. At great distance and in sunlight it is sometimes not possible to see the wings or tail, making the aircraft appear like a white line, exactly as the video shows. Flight Radar 24 confirmed that there were no other tracked aircraft in the vicinity at the time besides the two commercial jets: Not all aircraft are tracked, but 360 Radar confirms that the area lies within controlled airspace, and does not fall within an airway for an airport, so the chances of it being an untracked aircraft are reduced: Either way, the massive increase in acceleration observed by the witness puts the idea of the white UFO being an aircraft completely out of the question. Ash confirmed that he saw this acceleration with his own eyes, the object did not simply vanish without trace, it actually shot between the two commercial jets and away into the distance! When I asked him about this manoeuvre he said “Literally as it got in line with the back end of the jets it just went in the blink of an eye and shot off. Whether it was the sun or some kind of build I'm not sure, but there was a flash like it had glinted the sun and then it just went. It was so fast it was like a stagger. Hard to explain. Only comparison i can make is like an F1 car taking it steady to within a second flooring it.” The speed of this manoeuvre also means that the object cannot have been a blimp or balloon of any kind. A drone can make a sudden darting manoeuvre, but from the video this object was clearly at very high altitude, and at that height a drone would not have been visible at all. Obviously it cannot have been a daylight meteorite as this would have shot right across the sky at a constant speed. Like the white object, it is impossible to accurately see the shape of the dark object due to the distance. The fast manoeuvre it performed rules out a drifting balloon, and its movements were too direct to be a bird. Although a drone cannot entirely be ruled out, the witness stated that it shot away extremely fast and vanished from sight due to the altitude. It is also interesting that it performed this manoeuvre immediately after the white object departed, possibly suggesting that the two were related in some way. Conclusion As with many UFO sightings the explanation for this incident remains elusive. How you view it will largely depend on whether you trust the testimony of the witness or not. It’s a shame that Ash did not manage to record the extreme manoeuvres of the objects, arguably the most interesting aspect of the incident. The appearance of the white object does resemble a distant third aircraft at very high altitude, and an untracked aircraft in the vicinity cannot be ruled out. However the witness answered all of my questions without hesitation and I do not feel he was trying to embellish the sighting in any way. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 31/08/2016 Last Updated: 10/08/2022 The hybrid breeding program is a particularly unusual, and some would say disturbing, aspect of contact which is sometimes reported by contactees. It appears that one of the on-going agendas of the ETs is to obtain our DNA and use it to create ET-human hybrids for an as yet unknown purpose. While most of the time this seems to involve females, occasionally male contactees can also be utilised in a similar manner. This is one such case, involving a gentleman named Simon from Leeds who I have met and spoken with on numerous occasions. Spinning In The Air Simon’s first memory is from a very early age, he believes from 1970 when he was around 18 months old. This in itself is unusual as most people cannot remember anything which took place at this age. But Simon has the distinct memory of being lifted up into the air in his cot and spinning round and round. In this memory his father then enters his room and he drops back down onto the cot. While it is possible that this peculiar memory is nothing but childhood imagination, there is the possibility that it is linked with contact, although why the ETs would pick him up in this manner is a mystery. The Pirate From the age of 3 Simon began to experience visitations by a strange being in his room at night. He would wake up feeling frightened and would cover his face with his bedclothes. However in the end the fear of something there would be too great and he would lift up the cover to look. Standing close to his bed he would see a figure with a wide hairless oval-shaped head and olive-coloured skin. This being wore a large black eye patch over one eye. Its skin had a rubbery texture – it looked like a puppet made out of rubber. Witness drawing of the "pirate": Whenever he saw it standing there Simon would be too frightened to get out of bed or call for his parents. He would hide under the bedclothes again and would then drop back off to sleep. It is clear from Simon's drawing and description that this being was a Grey. It is possible that it was using a screen memory to appear like a pirate, although it is clearly still very alien in appearance. Another possibility is that Simons mind was associating its large black eyes with a pirate's eye patch and so interpreted it as this. Bed Switch When he was 5 years old Simon went on a summer holiday with his family to Mablethorpe. They were staying in a chalet and Simon had a bunk bed to sleep in. He decided to sleep on the top bunk. During the night he awoke and found himself in the bottom bunk. Hey was quite shocked and began to cry. His parents came in and put him back to sleep in the top bunk. Simon is mystified by what happened on this occasion. Because of his previous experiences with the pirate he was frightened to get out of bed during the night and would never have done so voluntarily, even if he needed to use the toilet. He says he would have rather wet the bed than step out of it while it was dark in the room. Obviously there is the possibility that he sleep-walked on this occasion, but Simon wonders if something more took place. Faces In The Window The following year Simon’s family went on holiday again to Wales in their VW camper van. They travelled around and stopped at a few different campsites. Simon was frightened to sleep in the hammock so instead slept in the back of the van. He woke up in the night feeling scared. Sitting up, he pulled back the curtain on the rear window of the camper van. Outside he saw two faces looking in through the window. He could make out the shapes of the heads and eyes. Quickly he pulled the curtain back closed and hid under the bed covers. He did not shout out as he did not want to get into trouble for waking up his family. Was this another visitation incident or could the faces have just been in his imagination? Paralysis From about age 10 onwards Simon began to have sleep paralysis experiences. He would wake in the night and would not be able to move at all. He would not be able to see, perhaps because he was under the covers. Sometimes he would hear a high pitched sound. These experiences were extremely frightening but he could do nothing to prevent them. After a period of time he would then drop back off to sleep. Simon began to experience paralysis roughly once every couple of months. Between 1998-2001 it became more regular, about once a fortnight. It now happens rarely and he has not experienced it since 2015. While sleep paralysis has some aspects which closely resemble contact, they are two distinct types of experience with a number of differences which set them apart. That said, many contactees do report having paralysis in addition to contact. Out-Of-Body Experiences In his early teens Simon underwent his first out-of-body experience. At the time he shared a room with his brother and they slept in a bunk bed, with him on the bottom bunk. He woke up during the early morning feeling really relaxed. Glancing over at the clock he saw the time was 3.10am. He decided to get up out of bed. When he did so he realised it didn’t feel normal. It felt like he was floating and not touching the floor. He turned around and saw his body still lying in bed. Fascinated by what was happening, he began to explore the room. He moved over to the window and looked out at the M62. There was no traffic on the road at all. Everything seemed deathly quiet. He looked round and saw his brother asleep on the top bunk. He wasn’t frightened by what was happening, but knew that it wasn’t right to be outside his own body. He lay back down on the bed into his body. Immediately he sat up wide awake in bed. Simon has had occasional out-of-body experiences ever since. In 2004/2005 he had a car accident and was forced to take time off work to recover. He spent a lot of time on the computer talking with people. One of his friends on the net was a lady from Texas. He told her all about his out-of-body experiences and she was very intrigued. Simon promised that the next time it happened he would come and visit her. A number of weeks later he had an OBE. He had seen a photograph of his friend’s house in Texas. He pictured that in his mind and all of a sudden found himself there, hovering in the air outside of the house. He floated inside through one of the windows and saw his friend asleep in bed. One of her feet was sticking out of the end of the bed. To try and get her to react to his presence he pulled one of her toes. She did not seem to react. Simon doesn’t know how he got back home, he just remembered what he had done when he woke in the morning. He decided to speak with his friend on the net. Before he had a chance to say anything she said “You came to see me last night and you grabbed my toe!” He confirmed that he had done precisely that. She had clearly somehow sensed he was there and what he had done. This served as proof for Simon that he really was coming out of his body during his experiences. Ghosts For much of his life Simon has felt like he has possessed heightened senses. On a number of occasions he feels that he has both seen and directly interacted with ghosts. One particularly dramatic example of this took place in 1998. It was early afternoon on a pleasant sunny day. Simon was on his way out to go shopping in Beeston, where he lived at the time. He was on High Street when he saw an old lady attempting to cross the road. She was wearing a large coat, tights and flat shoes. She had grey hair and pale skin. She was holding two fabric bags full of shopping. Her face was all bruised and she had blood on her nose. It looked like she had just been mugged. Simon asked her if she was alright. She claimed to have fallen down the steps at home. Simon took the bags and helped her cross the road. On the far side was a wide open space. The lady said thank you as Simon handed the bags back to her. He then crossed back over the road, which took no longer than a few seconds. He glanced back round and found that the lady had completely vanished! There was absolutely nothing nearby she could have walked behind, she was just gone. He immediately realised that the lady must have been a ghost. Perhaps she really had fallen down the steps at home, but had not survived the fall. In 2001 Simon lived with his brother in Leeds and slept in the converted loft. One evening he was speaking with another experiencer he is friends with. They ended the call and she said she would give him a ring later. It was quite late and Simon dropped off to sleep. After a while he woke back up and found he was paralysed. There was a man next to him who was touching him on the forehead. The man looked similar to his brother but was elderly and bald. He recognised the man as his mother’s great uncle, who he had seen photographs of previously. He felt that it was his ghost who had come to visit him. The phone then started ringing but Simon was unable to move or speak. After a minute he found he could move again, and the ghost of his relative vanished from sight. This experience is particularly interesting because it involves both sleep paralysis and the appearance of a recognisable figure. Many contactees report seeing ghostly apparitions and having other paranormal experiences in addition to contact. There certainly appears to be a direct link of some kind, and I wonder if experiencing contact alters their perception making them more susceptible to seeing things most do not. Psychic Abilities In addition to seeing ghosts, Simon has seemingly had premonitions at certain times. One night he went to bed thinking about what it would be like to win the lottery. During the night he had a dream in which he put down some numbers. The first two and last two numbers were clear, but the middle two were blurred. In the morning he remembered the dream but didn’t act on it at all, thinking nothing of it. However later that day when the lottery was drawn the four numbers he had seen clearly actually came up! While this could just be put down to coincidence, it is odd that he would have dreamt about this on the previous night. One night in the mid-1990s Simon had an unusual dream. In this dream he watched a large aircraft fly overhead and then drop down behind a hill in the distance out of sight. He was then holding and shaking a jar filled with water and small black square-shaped objects. In the morning he saw on the news that there had been a plane crash at an airshow in Toronto, Ontario in which 7 people lost their lives. The news report showed video footage of the plane, which ditched into Lake Ontario. When it hit the water square-shaped pieces broke off and flew up into the air. Simon realised these were in the same pattern as the objects he had seen in the jar in his dream. It immediately became clear to him that he had experienced a premonition of the crash. I have managed to locate a video of the crash in which the pieces of debris are clearly visible: Something similar occurred on the night of 9th May 2002. This time he had a dream in which he was looking at a book. The pages of the book were turning and on them were photographs. He saw what he thought was a derailed rollercoaster carriage. The following morning he felt ill so took the day off work. On the news was a story about a train carriage which had derailed at Potters Bar killing a number of people. He immediately realised that this had been what he had seen photographs of in his dream during the night. Below is a video about the train crash which Simon seemingly predicted: In April 2016 pay day was coming up at work and Simon was speaking about it with his work colleague. For some reason he was suddenly aware of his colleagues PIN number in his mind. He told his colleague the numbers. His colleague looked shocked and said “If you were a pickpocket I’d be skint now!” Another friend who witnessed this then asked Simon if he could guess his PIN number too. Apparently he managed to guess two of the four digits correctly, and was also aware that his account was with Lloyds bank. Simon says that there is no way he would have found out this information previously. Tailed In the mid 1990s Simon appears to have been followed by an unknown vehicle. He was on his way to visit his mother who lived at Beeston at the time. He suddenly noticed in the rear view mirror some headlights behind him. At first he thought it was the police, but after a while realised it was a dark coloured car. He made some turns and the car remained behind him. He began to get suspicious that the car was purposely following him. To test this theory he began to turn left at each turn, essentially going round in a loop and ending up back where he started.  According to Simon he drove around the block 4 times and the car continued to follow. Eventually it stopped following and drove on as Simon turned. There would have been absolutely no reason for the driver of the car to have made the same turns that Simon did, it was clearly following him, although the reason for this is unknown. Glowing UFOs In 1998 Simon lived on Wesley Croft, Leeds near to Elland Road football stadium. He has always been fascinated by the stars and would regularly star gaze from his back garden with a telescope. One evening he was outside and facing NNE. He noticed two white orbs of light alongside one another moving in his direction. They appeared to be around the height of a low flying aircraft, but were moving too slowly to be a plane. He initially assumed them to be Chinese lanterns. Aerial map of Wesley Croft: As they got closer he realised they were too bright for lanterns and were not flickering at all. Suddenly the lights instantly performed a right angle turn and began heading to the North North West. He continued to watch them until they had flown out of sight into the distance. In total he had watched them for about 4-5 minutes. Sadly Simon did not have a camera on him at the time as he was not expecting to see something unusual. He was certain that the lights had been under direct control, and they turned much too fast to have been aircraft, helicopters, lanterns or LED balloons. Harvesting Although many of Simon’s childhood experiences could be put down to sleep-related experiences, in 1998/99 an incident occurred which certainly appears to be linked with contact. At the time he was living in a one bedroom flat with his wife and daughter, and sleeping on a double air bed. During the night he woke up to find himself paralysed from the neck downward. He could hear a high pitched whistling noise inside his head. Around him the room was lit up in blue light, seemingly from no specific source. He felt as though he was encased inside a clear bubble. Suddenly a face pushed through from the other side of this bubble and stared directly at him. The face was flattened oval in shape. It had brown wrinkled skin, large black slanted eyes and a small nose not very pronounced. It was quite ugly to look at. It stared directly at him less than a foot away from his own face. Simon was shocked by the appearance of this being. Either speaking out loud or thinking it, he asked “What the fuck are you doing in my house?” Witness drawing of the being's face: The high pitched noise then increased in volume and Simon felt himself lifting up off the bed. This feeling continued for a number of seconds and he could feel himself moving left and right. Then he was dropped back down and realised he was no longer in his bedroom. He found himself on a flat metal table in the middle of a room with curved walls which was lit up in white glowing light. There were no other furnishings visible in the room. Around him stood about 5 or 6 glowing figures. They looked like females with blonde hair. Their facial features were unclear due to the light coming from them. He looked round to his left at the figure closest to his shoulder. He realised it wasn’t a blonde-haired female but looked the same as the being he had seen in his room. At this moment his perception changed and he realised that all of the figures in the room were these beings, and that they were surrounding him and holding him down on the table. It looked like a dull metallic coloured cube about 30cm across. The cube was floating about a foot above him and drifting a small amount in the air. Attached to this cube was a tube which was the same dull metallic colour. The end of this tube widened out and was attached to his genitals. There was an uncomfortable pain coming from his groin. Simon kicked out with his left leg and hit one of the beings in its face! The being at his shoulder reached out and put its hand on his forehead. Immediately he felt an intense cold sensation like ice. Witness drawing showing an overview of his surroundings and the beings: Everything went dark and he sensed movement, then found himself in the air above his bed. He was dropped back down onto the mattress quite forcefully. This disturbed his wife who almost woke up, but quickly dropped back off. Despite the fact the experience was over, Simon still had pain coming from his groin. He stared out of the bedroom window but could not see anything. He doesn’t really recall what happened after that, he assumes he must have got back in and dropped off to sleep. In the morning he recalled what had taken place. There was still discomfort coming from his groin, but it was not as painful as it had been in the night. He checked in a mirror and found 4-5 red coloured dots on the base of his groin which looked like needle marks. He could also feel a lump under the skin. Worried about what he had found he decided to visit his doctor. His doctor arranged for him to go to the hospital for a scan. When he went for the scan about eight people came into the room one at a time and examined him. He was very troubled by this and wondered if they were going to tell him he had cancer. Eventually someone came into the room and performed the scan. They then informed him “It’s not cancer, we don’t know what it is. See you later!” Simon was not content with this abrupt response so asked “What could it be?” The man who performed the scan simply said “I don’t know.” Puzzled by the situation, Simon had no choice but to get dressed and head for home. A couple of days later the lump in his groin vanished. To this day he wonders what it could have been. There are many fascinating aspects to this series of events. The brown wrinkled beings which he encountered on this occasion appear to be a type of Grey. They are quite rare, but have been reported in other abduction experiences before. A good example of this is the Scottish A70 abduction case. The witnesses from this case met with one of these beings, which they interpreted as the "leader". Below is the photograph from a news article on this case which shows the brown being at the top left. The similarities to what Simon has drawn are clear: It is also interesting that Simon initially interpreted the beings aboard the craft as blonde-haired females. The humanoid ETs commonly referred to as Nordics are usually reported to have blonde or pale coloured hair. Could the beings have been using a screen memory to appear in this form, and if so why? Perhaps it was to appear human and reduce the fear of the situation. Or could this even be evidence that the beings can take on multiple shapes and that they are one and the same? Whatever the reason, this visage did not seem to last for long. The machine attached to Simon during his abduction is very likely to have been used to extract sperm. The reasons for doing so will become apparent below. The Baby In 2001 when he was 32, roughly a year after the incident with the lump on his groin, Simon had another abduction experience. As with previous occasions the room was lit up in blue light and he heard the high pitched whistling noise. He then found himself in a darkened room sitting on a chair. There was a spotlight glaring down on him. He could not see his surroundings but sensed he was in quite a large open space. The temperature of the room was warm. The chair he was in was black coloured and looked like it was made out of moulded plastic. A being then approached him. He cannot recall exactly what this being looked like as his attention was drawn to what it was holding. It was carrying a very peculiar thing. It looked cone-shaped and was a orange-brown colour. It had two blue dots for eyes. Due to its colour it reminded him a little of Zippy off the children's TV programme Rainbow. Even though it was inanimate, Simon sensed it was alive. He had a deep emotional connection with this strange thing and interpreted it as his own baby. The being handed it to him and he held it for a few minutes. After this time, the being in front of him held out its arms to take it back from him. Simon cannot remember whether he handed it over voluntarily or whether it was forcefully taken. He just recalls waking up crying. He was fully aware of what had taken place and felt like his child had been taken from him. The emotions he experienced following this were extremely strong and it took him a while to calm down. Simon has only told a few people about what happened. He still thinks about it from time to time, and the experience has affected him ever since. This and the previous incident both suggest that Simon is part of the hybrid breeding program. It is likely that during the first abduction sperm was taken from him by the device attached to him. This would then have been used to create a hybrid. This baby was then brought back to him to hold for a while, perhaps to establish an emotional bond with it. I have investigated other cases where near identical things have been reported by female contactees. The odd look of the baby in this instance is very interesting. It seems likely that this was a screen memory, and he is remembering it differently to how it actually looked for whatever reason. Most of the time hybrid babies are reported as a cross between a Grey and a Human with mixed features of both, it is quite rare for them to be seen with a different appearance. Electrical Disturbances Many contactees report experiencing unusual electrical disturbances in their proximity, and Simon appears to be no different. He has noticed over the years that he has witnessed an unusually high amount of electrical faults. His kettle has blown about five times, and he has had an extension cord actually blow while holding it. He has seen the DVD player open and close on its own on numerous occasions when he is near to it. At various times the light bulb has blown immediately after he has entered the room. On one occasion at work Simon had a feeling that something was about to take place. Jokingly he said to the foreman “Watch this!” He raised his hand and snapped his fingers and that exact moment there was a power cut! The foreman just said to him “You’re really weird!” and walked away. In 2001 Simon lived with his brother in Leeds. One day he was speaking with another experiencer from Cumbria on the phone. All of a sudden they started to hear interference on the line. Then Simon watched as the bedroom door closed by itself. This door was apparently old and would never close properly. The temperature in the room dropped quite significantly and Simon began to shiver. He informed the lady he was speaking with about what was taking place. The line continued to get worse and worse. In the end Simon decided to end the call, saying “I’ll see you soon.” At that moment the phone completely cut off. When Simon checked he found that his alarm clock and the TV had both stopped working, their batteries completely drained. He did not speak with his friend for a few days, but when he did she informed him that her phone had also died at the same moment his had. This electrical activity seemed to be most prevalent between 2002-2007, and since then seems to have calmed down. Hair Growth One day in 2001 Simon went to get his hair cut at the barbers. He had it clean shaven up the back. That night he went to bed like normal. In the morning he checked in the mirror and was shocked by his appearance. His face looked grubby and greasy. His stubble seemed to be longer and his hair seemed to have regrown overnight! He then had a memory of standing naked in a field during the night. He felt like he had been taken somewhere and had been put back in the wrong place. Simon had no idea where these thoughts came from, but he felt sure he had been taken, and that this had resulted in how he now appeared. High Altitude UFOs Around 2007 Simon his partner and pet dog went camping close to Barnard Castle in Durham. His partner had gone off to sleep in the tent, but he remained awake to sky watch. It was around 11pm and a clear starlit sky. He lay out under the stars with some binoculars and a bottle of beer. Looking up he began to notice glowing objects manoeuvring at high altitude. They looked the same as satellites would, but were curving and turning, sometimes temporarily halting before starting to move again. The objects looked like they were in low Earth orbit. Simon was convinced they were not helicopters at high altitude. However they did seem to be under intelligent control. Sadly he had no camera on him at the time, but even if he had it may have been very difficult to capture the lights due to their distance. He watched the UFOs for about an hour, during which he also noticed satellites crossing the sky. In the end he dropped off on the lounger. He was woken later by the rain that had started to fall. Cold and wet he crawled into the tent and went back to sleep. Unusual Flashback One day in 2013 Simon recalled a memory of something which doesn’t make logical sense. The memory was from the early 1990s when he lived in Beeston. He recalled walking home from the pub one evening. He was walking on a path along the edge of an area of open grassland known as Holbeck Moor. Aerial map of Holbeck Moor: He stepped through the hedge onto the grass. In the middle of the field was a rounded building with a domed section at the top, round windows and a spiral staircase leading up the outside of it into an open doorway. Witness drawing of the building: He walked over to it and began climbing the stairs. This is where the memory ended. Most of this recollection makes perfect sense to him. He did used to visit the pub in Beeston and then walk home past Holbeck Moor. However there has never been a building there, it is just open grass. Simon is absolutely sure of this, yet he has had this vivid memory of approaching and climbing up it. Due to the appearance of the building, which is reminiscent of a domed disc-shaped craft, it seems likely that this is a screen memory, and that the building was really a landed craft which Simon went aboard, perhaps under direct control. Nightmares One evening in October 2015 Simon was visiting a friend in Glossop, Derbyshire. It was a stormy night and they were listening to some relaxing meditation music. They both dropped off to sleep. While they slept they both had simultaneous nightmares. Simon dreamt that he was standing in mud and it was raining. Lying in the mud was a Grey but with a glowing lightbulb-shaped head. He wasn’t frightened and instead tried to help the being to its feet shouting “Come on then!” He then noticed a flying saucer-shaped white coloured building, with rounded windows around its perimeter that looked like a plane. Witness drawing of the white building: He walked into the building and inside was a crowd of people.  At this moment he woke up feeling unsettled by what he had seen. Meanwhile his friend had a dream about being aboard an aerial vehicle similar to an aeroplane with lines of seats. A doctor wearing a white lab coat and with a purple coloured lightbulb-shaped head approached her and gave her an injection. She was awoken from the dream by the sound of Simon looking round at her. Both of these dreams had aspects which could be considered linked with contact. The white building that Simon recollected is again likely to be a craft, just as the one he recalled at Holbeck Moor. While it could just be coincidental that they both had these dreams on the same night, the possibility remains that there was something more to them, and they were perhaps sparked by memories of real experiences, either individual or shared. Location Fear In late December 2016 Simon headed out late one evening to a lay-by on Monks Road in Glossop to take some photographs of the stars. It was a very pleasant evening with a clear sky. He had been to the location numerous times before so was familiar with it. Monks Road is a rural country lane which leads up to the top of a hill, making it the ideal place to star gaze. But for some reason he felt very un-nerved about the idea of getting out of the car. There was nobody else around and he knew the location so he has no idea why he felt this way. But try as he might he could not shake the feeling of uneasiness. In the end he decided to drive back home without getting out. When contactees have had an experience at a particular location they can get an innate fear of that location, even if the memories of the experience have been blocked out. This is one of the noted after effects of contact. While this is just speculation, you have to wonder why Simon was un-nerved by that particular location which he had been to before on multiple occasions. Could he have had a contact experience there which he is not currently aware of? Taken From The Car Within a couple of months of the incident on Monks Road, Simon had another more definitive experience, this time involving apparent physical aspects. It was around midnight on 11th February 2017. Simon was lying in bed and feeling tired, but had not yet dropped off to sleep. He was trying to get comfortable so rolled over onto his side. Immediately he suddenly found himself sitting in his car. It was night-time and he appeared to be on a darkened rural road. It was hard to see much outside as there were no street lights, but the stars were out in the sky and he could make out silhouettes of bushes and trees either side of the road. Interestingly he was not wearing his seat belt (Simon says he always puts it on when he is out driving) He stepped on the accelerator but the car had no power and was slowly grinding to a halt. As it slowed he saw out of the driver’s side a very bright white light descending from the sky. Whatever was making the light was out of sight above the top of the window frame, but he could see the glow of whatever it was getting brighter and brighter. Due to everything which was happening Simon immediately knew this was a contact experience. Despite being aware of this fact he was still panicking as he had not experienced anything like this before. The car ground to a halt on the road. Almost immediately Simon then saw the driver’s side door open at a normal speed. He then felt something grip his right arm and forcefully drag him out of the vehicle. In shock he jumped and immediately found himself back in his bed. Looking around his room he began to relax when he realised where he was. The experience had seemed far more vivid than a dream, and it had started and stopped so suddenly. He looked at the clock and saw the time was approaching 12.30am, so he did not appear to have had any extensive missing time. He soon settled back down to sleep. He awoke around 4.30am to get ready for work. During the night he had kept his mobile phone charging on the bedside table alongside him. When he checked it he found that all of the text messages on it had vanished. This was very unusual, as even though there is an option in the settings to clear messages Simon would never choose to have actively done this. He also noted when getting ready that he felt particularly well and healthy. Around 5am he left the house. However when he tried the ignition in the car he found it would not start. He tried a couple more times and then it started up like normal. However he then noticed that there was a light and message on the dashboard indicating there was a rear left indicator fault. He got out of the car and checked it but the light appeared to still be working. Photograph showing the faulty indicator warning light: As he drove to his girlfriend’s house to pick her up he began to notice a bruise-like marking begin to appear on his upper right arm. It was a dark oval-shape and quite sizeable. During the daytime other smaller reddish dots appeared in close proximity to it. The markings were a little itchy but did not really ache. Simon could not think of anything in his room or which he had been doing the previous day which could have accounted for them. The feelings of wellness also lasted for a few days. This is a bizarre series of incidents which certainly appear to bear the hallmarks of contact. Simon does not appear to have been physically been in the car during the night. If he had experienced a long period of missing time it would have been plausible that he was in some way controlled to get into his vehicle and drive somewhere for one reason or another, and that most of the memories of this were blocked out. However this does not seem to be the case. It would be easy to dismiss the experience than nothing more than a dream. However it seemed to come on very abruptly. Simon was aware he was lying in bed one moment and the next found himself in the car. This seems much more like a vivid flashback, perhaps of a previous occasion where he was abducted from the vehicle. Many contactees have reported recollecting memories of experiences in this manner, sometimes though not always triggered by something in particular. However this begs the question – if it was a flashback of something that happened on a different night, then what could account for the numerous other unusual aspects observed on the following day. The unusual faults on both his mobile phone and his car. The feelings of healthiness. The unusual bruise markings on his arm. All these things, if related, point towards something occurring on that night rather than a previous occasion. Perhaps it was merely coincidence that there were issues with the phone and car directly following the experience. Perhaps the feeling of wellness was just random, and the markings were caused by a skin rash or something he had accidentally bumped into on the previous day without realising. But it does make you wonder if they are all connected in some way. I did wonder if the incident in December 2016 was also related, and that potentially Simon was taken from his car either prior to or following him visiting the lay-by on Monks Road. After all Monks Road is rural without street lighting, and some parts of it would look similar to what he described seeing outside of the car in the vision. However Simon pointed out that Monks Road is on a slope, so if the power on the vehicle was not working the car would have started rolling backwards not ground to a halt. This is of course a fair point, and suggests that maybe the incidents were not related. Rotating UFOs Sighting On 2nd May 2022 Simon had gone fishing at Hargate Hill Equestrian Centre in Glossop. The centre has several lakes which are perfect for fishing and it is a location he visits regularly. It was 4.05pm in the afternoon. The weather was dry with partial cloud cover in the sky. There was a light breeze blowing to the South. Simon was sitting on the left side of the largest of the three lakes at the centre. There were several other fishermen also present at other points around the lake. He happened to glance up into the sky to the North East and noticed two distant dark coloured objects. They appeared to be flattened disc shaped objects which were slowly rotating but not at a constant rate, so their shape would change from that of a squared off cigar to more circular and then back again. They were both moving slowly to the South East and appeared to be at quite high altitude. Simon estimates they were at least 15 feet across. The objects seemed to be situated above the housing estate at the Northern part of Simmondley about 1000 feet from his location. He watched the objects for several minutes before informing another fisherman along the bank of their presence. However the other fisherman could not make them out, possibly due to poor eyesight. Simon continued to watch the objects for a further 10 minutes. There was very little movement from them other than the sporadic rotation. Suddenly the lower object seemed to sparkle, almost pixelate, and completely vanish from sight! A moment later the upper object started to ascend vertically, not particularly fast, but a manoeuvre that seemed linked to what had just occurred. A couple of minutes later it too was lost from sight in the cloud. Later on when he checked the photographs he had taken of the lake he realised he had managed to capture the two UFOs in one of the images. Unfortunately the objects are too distant to clearly see their shape. Obviously the upper object looks more rectangular than the lower one, but this could be down to pixilation as well as the angle it was at when the photograph was taken. The objects were not aeroplanes as they were observed for almost 20 minutes. In this time period planes would have flown overhead or travelled across the skyline. These objects were clearly not moving very quickly at all. From the still they do not look like distant helicopters either. Flight Radar 24 confirms there were no tracked aircraft in the vicinity at the time: 360 Radar confirms that the area is within controlled airspace and does not lie within an airway, which reduces the possibility of the objects being untracked helicopters: While the idea of the objects being drones cannot be entirely ruled out, it seems unlikely due to the way in which they were changing shape. Drones are able to hover still or move slowly, just as reported, however they would not roll over as they did so, the shape would remain largely static. Also the way in which the lower object suddenly vanished from sight does not really fit this explanation. That said, there is the possibility that the lower object seemed to vanish due to the distance or because it stopped reflecting sunlight. Could they have been balloons? Simon says that the objects were not drifting enough in the sky for this possibility. He watched them for a good period of time, and there was a breeze, so some buffeting of the objects would have been expected if this were the case. And again there is the way in which the lower object seemed to suddenly vanish, immediately followed by the remaining object ascending. That said, the objects did not move particularly fast at any point, so this does remain a possibility. Conclusions As you can see, Simon has had a wide variety of unusual experiences throughout his life. While many of these do not seem to be directly contact related, they are never-the-less regularly reported by contactees and therefore may be linked in some way. Simon clearly appears to have experienced visitations since a young age, and has numerous recollections of abductions. He also appears to be involved with the hybrid breeding program, which appears to be one of the ETs on-going agendas. This is one of the first male cases I have investigated which has involved this aspect of contact. Yet the similarities to female cases I have previously looked into are striking. Since the initial release of this report, Simon has kept in touch and numerous updates have been made. It is clear that he is still experiencing unusual incidents and I feel his story is far from over. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 28/07/2022 On 16th May a man named Simon Barnes from Reddich got in touch via the sighting report form on the BUFOG website to confirm that he had just witnessed something unusual. I rang him back soon afterwards to go over what took place. Sighting Details It was around 9pm, and due to the time of year just starting to get dark. It was a clear and still evening, but the stars were not yet visible in the sky. Simon was sitting on the step of the back door to his house on Rushock Close smoking a cigarette. He shares the house with others, who were inside at the time. The back garden of the property faces to the South East. Between the end of the garden and Woodrow Drive there are a number of tall trees blocking most of the view. However there is a gap of around 10 metres between two of the trees through which an area of sky can be seen. Suddenly without warning Simon saw a glowing cigar shaped object appear at the right of this gap. It was glowing bright white with a greenish tinge. It appeared to be low down, about the height of a helicopter and certainly within the atmosphere. The object shot across the gap to the left extremely fast on a straight course to the North East, and was very quickly lost from sight. Simon was intrigued by what he had just witnessed. However he thought that given the speed the object had been moving there would be no point in walking down the garden or elsewhere to see if he could catch sight of it again. Sighting Analysis This is a brief yet intriguing sighting. The object was moving much too rapidly for it to have been an aircraft or helicopter. Flight Radar 24 confirms there were no tracked aircraft in the area at the time: 360 Radar confirms that the area lies within controlled airspace but does not lie within any airways, which reduce the possibility of the object being an untracked aircraft: Due to the speed other explanations such as an LED balloon or other inflatable, distant satellite or the ISS can also be discounted. The horizontal path of the object does not really fit with it being a firework of some kind, as they would generally launch vertically into the sky. However there are other possibilities which could be more plausible. The object may have been a meteorite crossing the sky. Meteorites generally fall on a descending arc, however the gap in the trees was not particularly large, so it could be conceivable for one to appear to be travelling on a level horizontal course. Another possibility is that the object was a drone with white/green lights on which was briefly glimpsed flying across the gap. Perhaps due to the speed the shape and individual lights of the drone blurred into one, making it appear like a glowing cigar shape. We are unlikely to ever know for certain what the object was, so it technically remains an unexplained flying object. However as there are a number of mundane explanations which could fit what was observed, it is likely that one of these which was witnessed rather than something more unusual. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 22/07/2022 Note: For anonymity reasons pseudonyms have been used for one of the witnesses In mid April 2022 I was contacted via the BUFOG website by a man named Vince. He reported that back in 2012 he and a number of friends used to regularly meet up on Monday evenings at the Golden Hind pub at the junction of Greenholm Road and Kingstanding Road in Great Barr, Birmingham. He went on to state that one evening they had a sighting of a number of unexplained orbs of light. This report covers the details of what took place. Sighting Details On the evening of 9th April 2012 at approximately 7.30pm Vince met up with one of his friends, “Sandra”, at the Golden Hind. After about half an hour they headed outside the front of the pub to have a cigarette. Due to the time of year it was twilight, and the stars were just starting to appear in the sky. They looked up into the sky to the South South West and noticed what appeared to be a particularly bright star at an elevation of about 45 degrees. Sandra mentioned that it could not be the North Star as it was of course at the wrong position in the sky. They continued to watch the white point of light for about eight minutes. Suddenly it split into six smaller lights which quickly positioned themselves into a crucifix-shaped formation, with four of the lights arranged in a vertical line, with the fifth and sixth either side of the second one down! Vince and Sandra could barely believe their eyes! They stood there staring at the formation of lights for up to fifteen minutes. After this they decided it was time to head back inside the pub. Over the noise of the jukebox and background chatter they discussed what they had just witnessed. About ten minutes later Vince decided he would step back outside to see if the lights were still present in the sky. Unfortunately he found that they had now completely vanished from sight. At this point it suddenly dawned on him that neither he nor Sandra had thought about taking a photograph of the lights, despite witnessing the lights for an extended period of time. Vince had his phone on him at the time, and Sandra had left hers inside. The following week they met back up at the pub again, and discussed the incident in depth, including the fact that it had formed a cross shape. Neither Vince nor Sandra are religious, however Vince did note that the sighting took place the day after Easter. Another mystery was the fact that there were a number of other people also outside at the time but they did not appear to have noticed the lights. Sighting Analysis This is an interesting sighting due to the splitting of the white light into an obviously organised formation. The key witness seems serious in in the details he has provided, and is clearly fascinated by what took place. Even though the incident occurred while the men were at a pub, Vince informs me that they were still on their first pint, and I do not believe this has anything to do with what was observed. The initial light was stationary for eight minutes meaning it cannot have been a satellite, the ISS or a distant aeroplane. An aeroplane can appear stationary for a short period of time if it is moving directly towards or away from you, and can appear as a bright white light if it’s got its landing light on and is coming in to land. However 360 radar confirms that the area does not fall within an airway: It was the wrong colour for a Chinese lantern. A white coloured LED balloon could conceivably remain largely stationary in still air conditions, but over that time period some gradual drift would still be expected. What if we consider that all six lights were attached to a single object which could not be seen clearly due to the distance? Perhaps the way that the single light split into six was down to the positioning of the lights on the object, and when it turned the lights could then be seen individually. Obviously a helicopter can remain motionless in the sky for a period of time, before turning. However the number and configuration of white lights is entirely wrong for a helicopter, and no other coloured lights were observed, so I do not believe this was the explanation. Could the lights have been a number of direct searchlights being shone into the sky and reflecting off the cloud layer? Usually lights being shone from night clubs or events would be shone in a circular pattern, but maybe they were shone from a religious ceremony or venue, and initially shone at the same position in the sky before being spread out into a crucifix shape because Easter had recently occurred. Although this possibility cannot be entirely ruled out it seems unlikely for a number of reasons. I have never been aware of any events/locations which have purposely shone searchlights into the sky in the shape of a religious symbol. Even if they did it would have made much more sense to do so actually on Easter itself, rather than the following evening. It also seems unlikely they would begin by grouping up all the lights at one particular spot in the sky instead of just immediately shining them in the shape of a cross. Lastly, it is usually possible to partially see the beams coming up from the ground, but the witnesses did not see this. Another possibility worth considering is a drone display. Drones can hover motionless in the sky, and can easily be manoeuvred to form specific patterns. Perhaps initially all the drones were clustered together, giving the impression of a single bright white light, and then separated to form the cross formation. However public drone displays are generally far more impressive, with lots of drones displaying different coloured lights. It is possible they were privately owned drones, but what would be the need to initially position them at close proximity for numerous minutes? The fact that the formation appeared similar to a crucifix does not necessarily mean it was religious in nature. It could have just been reminiscent of this shape, rather than intentional. This is certainly an anomalous and unusual sighting, and with most explanations entirely discounted the lights remain a compelling mystery. It is a shame that neither witness managed to capture a photograph or video of the lights. This is not in any way suspicious. Only Vince had his phone on him at the time, and it is clear that they were both transfixed by what they were looking at. I have spoken with many witnesses over the years who have not captured objects on camera because of this reason. Unfortunately at present I am unable to speak with Sandra about the incident. Vince has not kept in touch with her and does not know anyone who has her contact details. This is unfortunate as it would have been nice to hear her recollection of events. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 07/07/2022 Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used for some witnesses On Saturday 10th July 2021 I gave a talk at Bases 2021 conference at Pewsey, Wiltshire. After my talk I was approached by a man named Matthew Branson who wanted to discuss a number of varied experiences since his childhood. In the weeks following the conference I arranged a number of extensive Zoom conversations with him to go over everything in depth. This report covers many of experiences which may well be linked with contact and the paranormal. The Elderly Man In 1965 when Matthew was 4 years old he moved to Devizes with his parents and three brothers. They rented a cottage on Castle Grounds in the vicinity of Devizes Castle. On numerous occasions he would see an elderly man come into his room at night who would sit on the bed and tell him stories. He informed his mother Mary about these experiences but she did not initially believe him. However on one occasion his cousin came to stay the night, and also witnessed the same man. He informed his mother of what had happened. Soon afterwards the two mothers got together and it came up in conversation. This is where they found out that their boys had both described the same thing! Matthew does not actually remember these incidents taking place, he was informed of them by his mother many years later in his teens while discussing various paranormal events that had gone on at the property, some of which are mentioned below. This and other similar experiences have been included as many contactees report seeing paranormal activity in their vicinity. Ghostly Dog The cottage lay below Devizes Castle and had quite a lot of woodland around it. On a number of occasions Matthew and others would see a black and white coloured collie dog running through the trees. Sometimes he and his older brother Luke spotted it when they were walking home together from school. At other times it was witnessed by the family down the bottom of the garden. The dog would always run off into the trees and vanish from sight. His mother asked around the neighbourhood to see if anyone owned it, but had no response to this. Sometimes Matthew and his Luke gave chase but it would always disappear before they could reach it. However they did find a small grave in the woodland with a dog’s name on it, which is still there today. Matthew believes that they were seeing the ghost of this dog, however he cannot fully rule out the idea that it was merely a stray which lived in the area. Glowing Eyes When his parents weren’t around, Matthew and Luke would sometimes step into the fireplace of the cottage and look up the chimney breast to see if they could see daylight at the end of it. Matthew says that on one occasion when they did this they saw what appeared to be a couple of red coloured eyes staring down at them. He says that both he and his brother witnessed this. He does not recall telling his parents, but says that if he had they would have been sceptical. It is of course possible that it was just their imagination, however it was apparently seen by both of them. One possibility is that there was a bird or another wild animal in the chimney and the light was catching its eyes. But Matthew has always wondered if the incident had a paranormal explanation. Physical Attacks One night in 1966 when Matthew was 5 years old, his brother Luke suddenly called out really loudly waking him up. His mother came rushing into the bedroom. Luke said that something had punched him really hard in the middle of his back. Mary, thinking that it was just a dream, settled him back down and everyone went back to sleep. However in the morning when he got up she found a large bruise right in the location he claimed the impact had occurred. She was really frightened by this and asked Matthew if he had hit his brother, which of course he denied. In the summer of 1967 another incident involving Luke took place. It was the middle of the day when suddenly everyone heard Luke shouting for help. He, his other brothers and parents all rushed outside to where the calls were coming from. There used to be a pit in the ground for car repairs and Luke had fallen into this. When they asked him what had happened he claimed that something unseen had pushed him from behind and that he had not simply fallen in of his own accord. Scoop Mark Around the age of 7 or 8 Matthew found a small circular indentation on his left leg. He had no idea how it appeared, and it did not hurt when he pressed on it. The indentation did not go away and remained. Many years later when Matthew started looking into the contact subject he watched a Youtube video on body markings (Unfortunately he has not been able to locate the link for this video). The hairs on the back of his neck stood up when the video started to discuss scoop marks, one of the more commonly described body markings. He immediately thought back to the indentation on his leg. Over the years it has diminished and is now very hard to find, but in his childhood it looked identical to examples which were shown in the video. There is of course the possibility that the marking could well have been natural, as he had no recollection of any experience linking it with contact. Contacting the Spirits When Matthew was 12 his mother used to work at the local market. She met another couple at the market who had two sons. One weekend Matthew and his younger cousin Rob were invited to stay over at their house. During the day time they were playing outside when Matthew found a coin. He went and told the boy’s mother. She informed him that any coins he found he could keep. Strangely he then began to find many more coins, both in the flowerbed outside, and also behind the lining of the bathroom floor which had started to peel back. This felt strange at the time but obviously could have just been coincidental, or had been put there on purpose as a game for the kids to play. In the evening the adults put their two son’s to bed early as they were younger than Matthew and Rob. They then informed them that they could contact the spirits. They then said that they were going to play a game with them called the Ouija Board. Another adult came round the house and they set up a board on the table. They informed them that if they were scared they could ask to stop at any time. They started to use the board and asked if anyone was there. At first nothing happened, but they then went on to ask if there was a message for anyone present. The glass began to move, and started to spell out Matthew’s name. At this point he became frightened and asked to stop, which the adults agreed to. They got up and went through to the living room, leaving him alone with the board sitting at the table. He felt almost like he was rooted to the spot. Suddenly he heard a scraping sound coming from the glass on the table that they’d been touching while using the board. Looking at it he realised it had moved right to the edge of the table next to him. He began to feel short of breath and knew something was wrong. He called the adults who tried to lift him up and take him to the bathroom, but as he reached the stairs he vomited on the floor. The adults put Matthew and Rob to bed in one of the bedrooms of the house. They then also went to bed in one of the other rooms. Matthew and Rob were lying down in bed still awake. Suddenly a bright orange plastic piece of Hot Wheels track came under the crack at the base of the bedroom door and started swishing about back and forth! Rob got out of bed and went to the door to find out who was doing it. When he opened the door there was nobody there. He closed the door and got back into bed and then the same thing happened again. After a short while the piece of track disappeared back under the door. Both Matthew and Rob were terrified by this point. They ran out of the bedroom and told the adults what had happened, saying that they couldn’t sleep in the room as it was haunted. In order to calm them down the adults allowed them to sleep on the floor of their room for the remainder of the night. How you view this series of spooky events will likely depend on your beliefs regarding both the paranormal and Ouija Boards. It has been proven convincingly that people can subconciously push the object they are touching to spell out words without realising they are doing so. However, despite this, many still believe they are a way of contacting the other side and communicating with spirits or other entities. And it appears that in this instance the glass moved without anyone touching it after everyone left the room. As for what happened later on, it would of course have been very easy for one of the parents or their sons to have played a prank on Matthew and Rob to frighten them. But according to Matthew the two boys were fast asleep, and it would seem odd for the parents to intentionally scare them. Even so, this cannot be entirely ruled out. OBE By age 25 Matthew had moved to live in Brazil. Around this time he was very ill and started to lose a lot of weight. He was prescribed as having cancer in the lymph node of his left groin. An operation was arranged to have it taken out. While on the operating table, Matthew says that he suddenly found himself up by the ceiling of the room looking down over proceedings. At first he didn’t realise what he was looking at until he saw the blood and the surgeons leaning over him. He remembers feeling grateful that he was up out of his body rather than having to experience what they were doing to him first hand. He started to drift up, like he was going to leave and go someplace else when suddenly he heard what sounded like a cork coming out of a bottle. Immediately he was pulled back into his body and woke up mid-operation! He started screaming out and struggling to get away. He could not feel any pain but could see what was going on. Fortunately the surgeons quickly gave him another dose of anaesthetic and he blacked out. When he next came round the operation was over. What Matthew experienced sounds very much like an out-of-body experience. It is quite common for people to experience OBE's while under anaesthetic. There are many similar cases on record, and I myself experienced an OBE many years ago at the dentist while having a filling and knocked out with gas. Whether people genuinely leave their physical body during experiences such as this is still very much open to debate. Slamming Door By his early 40s Matthew had returned to the UK and had moved into a house on Brackenbury Road, Hammersmith, London. Soon after he moved in one of the other residents upstairs informed him that one of the previous tenants had commit suicide there. He wondered whether this story was true but soon afterwards he decided to change the carpets. When he lifted them up he found an area of floorboards that were much newer than the surrounding boards and were roughly the size of a human. He assumed that this is where the man’s body had been found and that the floorboards had been replaced. Matthew didn’t think too much about this and was ok with it. However on a number of occasions the door to the flat would suddenly slam of its own accord quite forcefully. He never saw this happen directly, he would just hear the sound and find it had closed. Light Beings Matthew's recolllected visitation experience occured in the summer of 2012. It was really hot weather at the time and he decided to sleep in a tent in the back garden to keep cool. The tent was quite small and cramped. During the third night in the tent he suddenly awoke for an unknown reason. When he opened his eyes he saw that he was not alone in the tent. Kneeling down either side of him around his waist were two short beings. They appeared to only be a few feet in height and were glowing a bright white colour. No facial features were visible. However thinking back to the incident Matthew feels like he may have seen their eyes but can’t recollect this. As soon as Matthew became aware of the beings time seemed to slow down to a crawl. He tried screaming but no sound came out. One at a time the two beings turned and looked at him. Then one of them reached out and touched the centre of his chest with its finger. When it did so he felt winded. This went on a number of seconds with him unable to make a noise. Then suddenly the beings vanished and he found he could move normally again. Terrified of what had just happened he unzipped the tent and ran inside the house. He stayed up the remainder of the night thinking about what had happened. In the days following the experience he found it very hard to get to sleep. He could sense the presence of something there in the house with him. He decided he would need to take action and try to get rid of this presence from the house. For a number of years he had been interested in Chinese tarot card reading, known as I Ching. Looking for help online, Matthew discovered beings similar to what he had experienced had been reported before. The website he looked on recommended that a priest would be able to perform a ritual to get rid of them. However he had no idea who to get in touch with. After asking around a number of restaurants in the area, he was finally directed to a local Chinese priest. However when he informed the priest of what had taken place, the man appeared to be frightened, and refused to help. In desperation, Matthew then turned to the Aetherius Society, the UFO influenced religious movement. When he informed them about what had happened they recommended he used a form of psychic defence to cleanse the property. This method involved him imagining a white glowing light which would protect him from harm. Matthew followed the instructions and after performing the activity he felt that the presence in his home had disappeared. He did not see the glowing beings again, although there is of course no way of knowing whether the technique had any physical effect or not. Missing Time & Body Marking By 2014 Matthew started renting the spare room in his house out to another man who I shall call "Simon". At the time, Simon worked night shifts at Heathrow Airport. One evening in the winter he headed out to work at 6.30pm, leaving Matthew alone in the house. At 7pm Matthew had a bath and then went and sat on his bed in his dressing gown to relax. About an hour later he heard the front door open and Simon re-enter the house. This was not out of the question, as sometimes the flights would be cancelled and he would return home early. He heard him walk along the hall and enter his room. Assuming it was roughly 8pm Matthew decided he would get dressed and go to the local shop to pick up some milk. He put some clothes on and opened his bedroom door. Outside his room he realised all the lights had been switched off. He opened the door to Simon’s room and mentioned “I’m just heading to the shop to get some milk.” Simon responded in a puzzled voice, asking “What, at 4am?” Matthew was confused by this, and rushed back to his own room to check the clock. At this moment he realised Simon had come home at his normal time and it was the early hours of the morning! There was roughly 8 hours of time he could not account for! He was shocked as he was certain he had not fallen off to sleep, he had not even laid down on the bed. He had not been drank any alcohol and felt completely normal. To him this missing time was completely inexplicable. Several days later Matthew was having a shower. He looked in the bathroom mirror and noticed a strange marking on his body. On the left side of his ribs he could see what appeared to be three separate equilateral triangles of dots, each about the size of a fingerprint. The markings were not sore when he touched them. At the time he had not looked much into the contact subject so did not realise their potential significance or take any photographs. The markings did not fade away immediately. Two of the three faded slowly over a period of months. However the third one can still be seen today. It is unknown if these markings were contact-related and in some way linked with the missing time he had experienced three days previously. However the proximity of these two incidents to one another is interesting, and may suggest that he was abducted, even though he has no knowledge of this at present. Demonic Entity Soon after discovering the markings on his body another disturbing incident took place. In the early hours of the morning Matthew suddenly woke up to find his face being pushed into the pillow. Sitting on his back was a small demonic creature which was laughing horribly. This creature was reaching out and pushing his head down. Terrified of what was taking place Matthew started to fight back against what was happening. He struggled against the pressure. Suddenly everything went back to normal and the creature vanished. Many aspects of this fit with the phenomenon of sleep paralysis, including the presence of an evil being pushing his body down in some way and the way in which he managed to struggle against it and it suddenly all disappeared. Given the details of what occured, I feel it is likely that this is what took place. Conclusion Matthew has had many strange and interesting experiences over the years. While a lot of them appear to be more paranormal in nature, the visitation by the two glowing beings certainly appears contact related. There are also other incidents which may be linked with contact including the missing time and various body markings he has discovered. As a witness, Matthew comes across as sincere. He clearly has interests of an esoteric nature, but the depth he has gone into suggests he is talking about real incidents that have taken place as described. I feel that given the frequency of his experiences Matthew may well have other incidents going forward from this point. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Ian Jones Release Date: 29/06/2022 Witness Name: Nikola Dzambo Sighting Date: 7th March 2022 Time: About 5.15am to 5.45am Place: Birmingham – Ladywood area Context Since contacting Mr Dzambo to discuss his sighting, I have not been able to contact him again to obtain more information. This report, therefore, still lacks some details, such as his drawing of what he saw. Mr Dzambo reports he is an international student and he was sitting by the window of his 3rd floor flat in Ryland Street, Birmingham (the blue shape on the map), smoking a cigarette. It was before dawn, about 5.15am in the morning of Monday 7th March, and it was still dark. The post code places this address at the corner where Ryland Street curves round into Morville Street. I have not been able to find out exactly which flat Nikola lives in, so it is not certain what the view is from the window he was looking from when he saw this display of lights, but he says he was looking to the South East. The building’s location is about 145 metres above sea level, but Nikola would have been well above that, on the 3rd floor. To the South East he would have looked out at the many mature trees spread along the inside of the pavement on the other side of the road, which in March would not be in leaf yet. Behind them there is a green, open area, which is the grounds of a school and a play area. There are also several high-rise office buildings in that direction. The arrow on the map shows that further in the South East direction are the Hagley Road / Ladywood Middleway / Broad Street / Five Ways traffic areas. The Five Ways shopping centre is about ¾ to 1 kilometre away. At 5.15 am traffic would not have been very busy, although it would have been passing through here at all times of the day. There would also be a degree of light pollution over the city during the night, although it is impossible to estimate how this might affect seeing objects in the sky. Further away, beyond the map, there is Edgbaston, where there is a mixture of green, open spaces, residential and higher-rise office buildings and side roads. It is about 13 kilometres in the same direction to the airport. Details of the Sighting Nikola’s attention was drawn to a light in the South East that was moving in an irregular pattern. A few minutes later, several more objects appeared, then more. At one point he estimates there were between 15 and 25 sphere-shaped lights visible. They were below the clouds and brighter than stars. The dominant colour was white, but with a blue tinge. They moved into a regular circle formation, like a vertical wheel, for about 10 seconds, before they dispersed. Each sphere flew off in a different direction and disappeared completely. Then, a few minutes later they re-appeared, moving extremely fast, also stopping/starting suddenly, in apparently random directions. He reports that one sphere headed West and seemed to be closer to him than the others – he estimates it was less than 1 kilometre away – and he could see it was a like an egg shape. There was a horizontal line across the middle of the shape, and it was a grey colour above this and white with blue lines below it.He could hear no sound at all. Nikola says he tried to take pictures with his mobile phone, but only managed to capture one of the spheres in a poor-quality zoomed image and one on video for a few seconds. He reports that he felt a bit afraid at the time, but that it was nice to have seen it. Analysis The weather at that time on that day was passing clouds, no rain and the wind was from the East at about 5mph. This rules out balls of light caused by thunderstorms in the area. Also, the wind was not strong enough to blow an object in the ways described by Nikola. Sunrise was not until 6.39 am, so there was no reflections from it off any object anywhere. The Moon was not visible at all at that time. The planet Venus was visible, from about 4.41 am to 6.18 am, but it was always low on the South East horizon and clearly was not moving about at all. It is not likely Nikola would have been able to see it from his position in a built-up area, surrounded by tall buildings and trees. There were no other astronomical features visible during this time. The information above suggests Nikola did not see anything that was weather-related, or astronomically-related. The possibility that Nikola saw some sort of aircraft is not likely, given his description of the objects and how they moved and the sheer number of them. The same conclusion goes for helicopters and all types of lanterns / LED balloons / blimps. I have not been able to find details of any event/display that was happening on any day before, or after, this time, so night-club lights directed into the sky, for example, are unlikely as well. Most entertainment venues close before, or at, midnight on Sundays. Were They Drones? I have done research into whether drones might have been involved, because of the number of objects Nikola saw and the fact that they do perform manoeuvres similar to those Nikola reported seeing, so they could be the most likely natural explanation. Birmingham Airport is also in the direction Nikola was looking, so is that a factor that is relevant? Points that need to be considered are: Proximity to airport Drones are normally banned from flying anywhere near airports, or within 5km of the start and end of runways, because of the risk that they pose to aircraft taking off or landing. There are also additional limitations when operating drones in densely populated and congested areas, which Birmingham certainly is. For example, anyone putting on such a large display in the UK must get permission from the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) to do the display and a NOTAM must be in place. This is a Notice to Airmen, filed with an aviation authority to alert aircraft pilots of potential hazards along a flight route or at a location that could affect the safety of the flight. The local police may also be informed in advance of the display happening. Still, the rules are repeatedly flouted by drone operators apparently wanting to use cameras on their gadgets to get dramatic video of, for example, jets flying past, even though they face being jailed for up to five years or fined up to £5,000 for endangering an aircraft. Incidents of suspected drones reportedly sighted near to airports / airborne aircraft are investigated by the UK Airprox Board, which produces and publishes a report about each incident. They received no reports for 7th March. In any event it seems unlikely that this sighting of so many objects would be linked to such illegal activities. It is doubtful whether any jets were in the area at that time and getting videos of one would have been almost impossible in the light level at that time of day. Number of objects With Nikola seeing more than 20 objects in view at the same time, this would not be something put on by an individual/small group. This would require a commercial company to be operating the drones, which they would only be prepared to do for a genuine, paying customer. It would not be a cheap event to arrange. A NOTAM is generally not required to be issued for visual line of sight (VLOS) operations due to the typically small scale, duration and operating limitations of VLOS flights. The potential need for NOTAM action must, however, form part of the drone operator’s risk assessment process, particularly above 400ft (120m), outside of controlled airspace or when several unmanned aircraft will be operating together. There are several companies in Birmingham that use drones for all sorts of commercial and/or industrial purposes. However, there are few companies that organise drone displays/events that are based in, or near, this part of Birmingham. The nearest company to this area – about 4-5 kilometres away – was not operating any drones at any event around this date. Flight manoeuvres The planning for each commercial display takes a few days at least, often much longer, and is done on the drone organiser’s computers, so does not need any practice runs outside with the drones. It results in a slick, co-ordinated sequencing of drone movements, with no random, or strange manoeuvres. Time of incident The fact that it happened on a Monday and the time-of-day Nikola saw the objects – between about 5.15am and 5.45am – is not one which would be sensible for a commercial event, because it would need an invited audience on the ground to be present to see the display. There would be hardly any audience at that time. The area for any display is carefully controlled and has to be mostly over a large area of flat ground, with the audience not directly below the drones, for safety reasons. The horizontal area the drones fly in is rigorously controlled. They may be confined to a box at least 200 metres by 200 metres, so are programmed not to fly outside that. Yet these objects flew over a vastly much larger area of sky than is allowed by regulations. Position of objects The maximum height commercial drones fly at is 400 ft. in standard air space. These objects appeared to be above that sometimes. Then, drones have to be within the visual line of sight of the operator at all times, which is a maximum of 500 metres horizontally from the operator. These conditions would be impossible to meet in such a built-up area, with high buildings in the way. Length of sighting The maximum time commercial drones are airborne doing the actual display is about 25 minutes. These objects were in the sky for longer than that. Object formation The description of the actual “display” seems strange, because it was so basic. Just the outline of a simple circle or wheel shape with no added detail, eg spokes, no variety of colours, or other effects, which a commercial display would definitely include. Other than that, the objects were also flying around the sky in apparently random directions, with no apparent coordination. The display also lacked any identifying branding, logo, or advertising/message, which surely is the point of someone paying for a display of this sort. Swarm incidents Inevitably, people are using drones for nefarious purposes all around the world and in this country as well, so this possibility cannot be ruled out either. The small unmanned aerial systems, (as they are referred to) have been sighted and sometimes intercepted, at numerous sites across the country amid concerns over the security threat posed by the technology. For example, twenty such reports between 2020 and 2021 have been released to Metro.co.uk under the Freedom of Information Act. In two instances, the drones landed ‘in the area’ (it is not specified where this was in each case) and were secured by personnel. Multiple other reports were made of the aerial vehicles near facilities or nuclear objects such as reactors, boats and submarines. A passing detail in another response showed there was a report of a swarm – where interlinked drones take part in the same operation or attack – at a nuclear licensed site in the UK. Drones, along with any type of unmanned aircraft, are also banned, under the Air Navigation Order 2016, from flying in the airspace of nuclear installations. I am not aware of one being in this area! This “swarm” incident took place between January 2014 and July 2020, according to the Office for Nuclear Regulation, which gave no further details. However, a swarm in this context usually refers to about 6-10 drones, which do not form patterns in the sky, or remain in the area for over 30 minutes! The logs released in the UK do not make clear who was operating the drones at the time, or if any of the reports resulted in further investigation, with the MoD rebuffing attempts to obtain further details. The MoD cites national security exemptions in stating that the release of the information would ‘prejudice the defence of the UK’. Conclusion So, the extreme simplicity of the display, the early time of day Nikola saw it and the other factors given above, strongly suggest this was not a commercially organised event. It is equally unlikely that one, or a few, people could put on such a display and the question to ask would be – to what end would they do this? Also, the other possibilities are unlikely, given the absence of military facilities and nuclear sites in the area. Summing up the available evidence and unless some more becomes available, this report remains one where UFOs were sighted. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: James Brodie Release Date: 28/06/2022 Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used The following case study is an ongoing report as the experiences are multi-faceted in nature. Over the upcoming months, I will be looking to delve deeper into some of the experiences shared and in doing so will be able to offer more detail. For the purposes of privacy, I will be using a pseudonym for the subject of the case report. What I can say is that I have known the person for most of my life and I have made sure that there will be no personal bias in the report and final conclusions. The subject of the case study we will call Paul going forward. He is in his mid-sixties and lived in the East Midlands for most of his life. When he was younger, he was a member of a couple of Midlands-based UFO groups, which helped shape and understand some of his own experiences. Paul’s first memory of any unusual phenomena was when he was 7-8 years old. He remembered he use to witness things in his back garden. He lived in a mid-terrace house in an industrial part of one of the larger towns in the East Midlands. He remembers looking into the garden and seeing three grey people. One was approximately 3.5 ft tall, one was around 4.5 ft tall and the third one was a little smaller, maybe 4 ft 2 in height. They were all grey with no definition or discernible features. He reported seeing them to his mother who claimed there was nothing there. Apparently, this happened on a number of occasions, and each time he saw them, he would tell people. Sometimes they would be there even if someone else was present, but only he could see them. In the end, he stopped telling people he could see them. What was unusual about this sighting is that quite often it would appear in daylight, and they would appear briefly in the garden. From previous investigations and my own personal experience, I have seen a grey humanoid shape without any apparent features. Possible explanations could be the imagination of a child, or maybe there was a distorted image of a person through the glass. That could possibly explain why he only saw it, as it was from a particular viewing angle. However, knowing the people involved, I am more inclined to believe that Paul genuinely believed that he was seeing something. That experience became part of the norm for Paul and so every now and again he would see something, and he would then put it to the back of his mind. Five years later he was out walking in the evening when he happened to glance up at the sky and he noticed a bright light in the sky. This was at a time when there weren’t so many planes in the sky, so this stuck out. It was moving relatively slowly and although it appeared high in the sky, it appeared to be larger than other planes he would have seen in the sky. It was yellow in colour which again separated it from other vehicles that were in the sky at the time. As soon as Paul noticed it, stopped moving and appeared to hover in the sky. It was difficult to make sense of any shape to it as it appeared to be a very bright yellow light. There was no noise that came from it and after observing it for a few seconds, it shot off at a right angle, before again abruptly changing the direction it was traveling in before disappearing. In reviewing this part of the encounter, it is difficult to make a factual conclusion. At the time of the experience there was very little air traffic in the UK sky and even less in that part of the UK. The colour was unusual for known ariel vehicles, but we can’t discount that there might have been something about at that time. We can discount any more modern technology like drones as they weren’t around at that time. What sets it apart is the sudden change in direction, as we know modern vehicles can’t manoeuvre in that manner. We can also discount Chinese lanterns as they weren’t prevalent at that time. The rapid change in direction would again look to rule out something like a weather balloon. We jump ten years into the future and Paul has met a likeminded individual who was part of a local UFO investigative group covering the East Midlands. This individual we will call John. Through several meetings, it became clear that they had shared a number of similar experiences. John introduced Paul to a remarkable individual. Again, for privacy purposes I will refer to her as Rita. Rita was a Russian Jewish immigrant who had settled into the area after the Second World War. She was regarded as a ‘natural medium’ who was believed to be to be able to perceive multiple realities. She is someone who I would have been incredibly interested to have had a long conversation with, but unfortunately, she passed some years ago. Although there are multiple reports I would like to investigate from their interactions, there are two instances I will refer to. The first instance is distinctly paranormal in nature. Both Paul and John were at Rita’s house as they had regular catch ups. They were discussing a previous UFO sighting where they had reported seeing some blue lights they had observed in the sky. Rita casually said to Paul, I guess you would like to know more about the lights you saw. Paul was surprised as he hadn’t even asked the question. She went into another room where there was a wired landline. She put her hand above the phone, and it appeared to glow blue. She then told Paul to have a look, when he was finished, just to say you want the light to stop. Paul wasn’t sure of the significance of what he was seeing, as he picked up the phone, had a look around it and couldn’t understand why or how the phone was glowing. However, after about 5 minutes he simply thought internally that he had seen enough, and the phone stopped glowing. Paul then told John what he had seen. John was naturally sceptical of the account and proceeded to dismantle the phone. Remembering that phones were far simpler mechanically at that time, it didn’t take much time to take apart. John could find no reason for the phone to glow. Neither could they understand the reason for it to glow nor whether there was any significance, other than an implied link to the lights they had originally seen in the sky. From a second-hand account it is difficult to investigate what was witnessed here. I struggle to see a rational explanation for the glow, as mechanically there was little to phones at that time. Potentially could there have a power surge which could have the glow? I doubt it as the phone would have been hot to the touch and there would have been significant damage to other electrical appliances. Furthermore, for the glowing to have stopped after a thought interaction, also removes the likelihood of a more straight-forward reason. For me, the next interaction was very exciting. The specific time of the sighting or the specifics of the date are difficult to ascertain which proves to be difficult to follow up from an investigative perspective. Once again it involves Paul, John and Rita. It was potentially 2 years after the glowing phone incident. All three were sat at the table and Rita remarked that they might want to go outside as there as a UFO coming straight over the house. They went outside excited, hoping to see something. When they looked up at the sky it was completely dark, and they were incredibly disappointed. They were looking up at the sky for a couple of minutes, and then suddenly stars started to appear in the sky. It turns out there was a huge object directly above them. No lights, no shape, no noise. There was no electro-magnetic field. Literally just a black mass. It was estimated to be potentially the size of 3-4 football fields as it literally took a couple of minutes to pass over head. The only reason they knew it had passed was that they could see the sky again. Then they went back in and Rita just smiled at them both. There are a number of elements I find interesting around this. The first element is that Rita knew it was coming over. She had previously exhibited multiple ‘abilities’. Did she genuinely have a link? I can’t answer that question without further investigation. The standout aspect is the size of the object. It was that big that they couldn’t discern the shape of what they were seeing. Was it exhibiting some form of stealth technology? There was also no noise, no distinct humming. It didn’t appear to have any effect on the people who were viewing it, but it was clear that it was supposed to be viewed. Would something that big be picked up by local radar? If it was using stealth technology maybe it wouldn’t have been tracked. As for the provenance of the people who had the experience, I believe the reporter to be genuine, however from strictly an objective perspective it is difficult to validate what was seen without more specific data. As I stated from the beginning, this is an ongoing investigation, so I hope in revisiting the account, it will help to bring out additional information. For the purposes of this investigation there is one final account to talk about. Paul was at home, he had moved house to a different part of the same town in the East Midlands. It was approximately 2 to 2.30 in the morning. Paul was sleeping downstairs. He was suddenly woken up with a start. He tried to move and get his bearings. It became quickly apparent that he was lying down on a table with space for his head, very much like a massage table. He was trying to view the room and it got the impression from what he could see that was in a circular room. He could hear a loud buzzing noise, but also another repetitive noise that he described as a squeaking noise. He couldn’t discern whether it was mechanical or whether it was from whatever was in the room with him. He again tried to move, he could feel his body trying to respond, but he didn’t feel he was in control of it. At no time did he feel uncomfortable or under threat, just a calmness. He could see shapes around him, but he was unable to view who or what was around him. He then sensed something getting closer to him. He felt some pressure at the back of his head then, then it all went black. He woke up to find himself back down downstairs, but it was around 6 am in the morning. He felt a burning sensation at the back of his head. He spoke to his wife about it and she checked the back of his head and there appeared to be a surgical line at the back of his head. It appeared to feel strange for a few days afterwards before it began to fade away, but apparently there is still a mark there to this day. Following from that experience Paul appeared to see a number of different phenomena which may or may not be linked. Some of these experiences I will look to report in a follow-up account. One of those accounts was with multiple people, where they saw something in the sky and they felt they were prevented from leaving a particular area whilst they were passengers in a car. I feel privileged to have been able to share this report with all of you. There are multiple facets to this investigation. There are elements of this report that cannot be verified, and this does weigh heavy on mind. I personally know the reporter, but I must take the emotion out of the situation. As always is the person reliable enough to rely on a verbal report? I believe the person is. They have no wish for any publicity and there is some additional physical evidence that I hope I will be able to share with you. As for the abduction experience, the change in position is interesting as most people tend be sitting up and get to glimpse what it is they are interacting with. The noise is interesting as I haven’t previously heard of a squeaking noise reported before. There appears to have been actual physical contact made and Paul believes that follow up experiences were in part related to that first abduction experience. Just as I was getting ready to finish wring up this report Paul presented me with the below photograph: Now this picture was taken in the late 1970s before advanced photography was readily available. This was taken in Northampton around 3 am in the morning and you can see there are three objects there were moving slowly across the sky. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 24/05/2022 On 10th May 2022 I was contacted via phone by a man named Gary Hodgkins who reported to me that on the previous morning he had seen something unusual in the sky near to his house in Wolverhampton. This report covers what took place. Sighting Details At 4.20am on the morning of 9th May Gary left his house on Wenlock Avenue, Wolverhampton, to drive to work. The sun had just come up and it was a bright and clear morning, with only very light cloud. Due to the time there were very few other vehicles or pedestrians in the vicinity. As he pulled out of the driveway he noticed an object with a white light and a red light on in the distance to the North East. Initially he assumed it was an Air Ambulance helicopter. It was moving slowly across the sky in a Westerly direction and appeared to be a couple of miles away, and at an altitude of about 300 feet. He set off on his journey, travelling along Wenlock Avenue, and turning left onto Trysull Road. As he drove North East along Trysull Road he could see the object in the distance ahead of him. He noted that the object was now hovering motionless in the sky. He could also see it more clearly now. The main body of the object was dark in colouration and was rhomboid in shape, with a defined shorter section at the top. There was a white light to the left of it and a red light to the right of it. It seemed to be about the size of a small passenger plane. He thought it looked odd and was convinced at this stage that it was not a helicopter after all. As he reached the traffic lights at the junction with Birches Barn Road he temporarily lost sight of the object behind some trees. 30 seconds later as he turned right onto Birches Barn Road he decided it was time to attempt to capture the object on his mobile phone camera. He pulled up at the side of the road and looked into the sky, fully expecting to once again see the object. However it had completely disappeared. This was confusing as there was very little cloud it could have vanished behind. He waited a minute to see if the object would reappear. When it did not he got back in his car and continued his drive to work. Sighting Analysis This is an unusual sighting with some interesting aspects to it. Rhomboid shaped objects are not often reported. There was clearly something present in the sky which appears to have been physical rather than meteorological. Due to the colours of the lights on the object, combined with its movement patterns I did wonder whether it could have been a distant helicopter or aircraft. Red and white are two of the standard navigation light colours. Below is a drawing showing the standard navigation lights of both light aircraft and helicopters: The object was travelling from right to left in the sky, which means that if it did have a green light on the right side it may have been hidden from view. No white or red strobe lights were observed, but it would be possible for the white light to have been a white landing light, with the red light positioned to the right. Regarding the manoeuvres observed, helicopters can of course hover motionless, and if a plane turns to fly either away from or towards a particular location it can sometimes appear to have come to a halt. That said, Flight Radar 24 confirms that there were no tracked aircraft over Wolverhampton around that time period: Of course not all aircraft have transponders and are tracked. However 360 radar confirms that the area does not lie within any airways, and also that it is within controlled airspace. This reduces the possibility of it being an untracked aircraft: In addition to this, Gary assured me that he is very familiar with how both helicopters and aeroplanes look at a distance and does not think this could explain what he observed. If it was not an aircraft, what else could it have been? The object sounds too large to be a drone, it was quite far away and therefore must have been quite sizeable. A lit inflatable of some kind, like an advertising balloon, cannot be entirely ruled out, although it seems unlikely due to how rare lit inflatables are combined with the time the sighting took place. The way in which the object vanished in a clear sky does not really fit with any of these explanations. Granted, the witness did lose sight of it for half a minute, so it was not an instant disappearance, but it is still an interesting aspect which needs to be taken into consideration. As with many UFO sightings, the object observed remains a mystery. Whether you feel that it must have been a distant aircraft or inflatable, despite the evidence to the contrary, is going to be down to your own personal interpretation of the incident. Due to the time of morning that the sighting occurred, the chance of other witnesses is reduced. However it is possible that it was observed from elsewhere.
