Birmingham UFO Group Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 17/06/2021 On 17th June lorry driver “Jules” got in touch with me via Whatsapp then phone to discuss a recent sighting of a UFO he had experienced on the outskirts of Kidderminster two days before. This report provides an overview and analysis of the incident. Sighting Details At approximately 3.25pm on 15th June 2021 Jules was in the process of making a lorry delivery at Cursley Distribution Park close to Shestone, South East of Kidderminster. The park lies on Cursley Lane, in a rural area surrounded by farmland. It was a sunny, clear and still afternoon. Jules had reverse parked next to the loading bay of Whitefoot Forward, and was sitting in the cab of the lorry while it was being unloaded. He had the driver side window down as it was a warm day. There was nobody else around on the distribution park at that time near to where he was parked. Jules was looking at his mobile phone when he suddenly felt the urge to look into the sky to the North East. He put his phone down and looked through the open window. He was surprised to see an object moving slowly along at an elevation of approximately 65 degrees. It appeared to be about 300 feet up and over the entrance area of the distribution park. The object looked like a pale grey coloured sphere, with a slightly darker grey diagonally slanting ring around the centre. It did not appear to be reflective. Jules estimates it was approximately 15 feet across, about the size of a small car. There were no markings or protrusions of any kind. The UFO was travelling on a straight and level course to the East. Jules estimates it was travelling around 15 mph. He could barely believe what he was looking at initially. It was clearly not an aircraft of any kind, and appeared to be under direct control rather than drifting in an air current as a balloon would. After watching it fascinated for about 15 seconds he scrabbled with his left hand to get his phone to attempt to photograph or record the object before he lost sight of it. He could not locate it with his hand so very briskly glanced away to grab it. When he looked back the object had completely vanished! He did not get out of the cab to take a look, but was mystified as to what he had just observed. Sighting Analysis This is an interesting sighting of an unidentified object with some particularly fascinating aspects. It certainly does not sound like an aircraft, and appears to have been close enough to determine this conclusively. Using Flight Radar 24 it can be seen that there were no tracked aeroplanes or helicopters in the vicinity around the time of the incident: 360-Radar also confirms that the area of the sighting is not in an airway, which again points away from the idea of it being an aircraft: Due to its appearance I feel that a drone is out of the question. But could it have been a spherical inflatable of some kind? The weather website Meteoblue confirms that at the time of the sighing the wind was blowing North East East, roughly the direction the object was travelling in: However Jules does not think it was a balloon. When I asked him whether this could be a possibility he said that the look of it was wrong, it was not tumbling as a balloon usually would, and also it appeared to be flying in a very direct and controlled manner, rather than drifting on an air current where some sideways movement would be expected. Also, and possibly most important of all, was the way in which the object vanished almost immediately in a clear sky. Jules says he only glanced away momentarily to get his phone. There were no clouds in the sky at the time (The object appeared to be travelling much lower than the cloud layer anyway). There were also no other buildings or nearby trees which it could have moved behind out of sight. It had literally disappeared, and seemingly done so at the precise moment the witness had decided to reach for his smartphone to capture it on camera. This aspect of the sighting not only points away from it being an inflatable but also other alternatives such as a radio controlled model. Now this could of course be just coincidental, however I have dealt with quite a number of cases over the years where exactly the same thing was reported. If the object really was an advanced craft, possibly of ET origin, then perhaps it was aware it was about to be filmed and used this opportunity to quickly depart from the area. If it wasn’t for the way it vanished without trace I would have suggested it was a balloon of some kind travelling smoothly on an air current, however at present there is the possibility it was something far more anomalous. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 17/06/2021 In April 2021 I got in touch with a man named Simon Kirby after seeing him mention a UFO sighting he had experienced on Facebook. We got in touch via messenger and had a long discussion about the incident, with later follow up conversations to obtain additional details. It not only involves his direct sighting, but also a possible further sighting by another independent witness. Sighting Details In early December of 1992 or 1993, when Simon was 20-21 years old he lived in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. On the evening of the incident he, had gone out to pick up his older brother Mark and a friend from work named Rob from a night club named Jimmy’s. The club was on Parliament Street and no longer exists. The men left the club quite early, between 11.30pm-midnight, as Simon had work the following day. They lived close enough to be able to walk back home. It was a pleasant, clear and cloudless evening. They began walking North North West along Parliament Street and walked across the Crescent Road / King’s Road crossroads. The area was quite well lit with plenty of street lighting. Further along the road on their right lay Harrogate Royal Hall, a venue for large gatherings. An event had just concluded, and hundreds of people wearing suits and ball gowns were gathered outside getting into taxis on the far side of the road from them. As they continued to walk along chatting with one another, Simon happened to glance to the North West in the direction of the St George Hotel. It was now that he spotted a very strange object travelling across the sky visible over the roof of the hotel. The object looked like two glowing diamonds (or possibly triangles) linked together with lines of small glowing circles/spheres at each corner. There were a number of distinct colours to it. The diamonds/triangles were an unusual rusty red colour. The lines of dots were a bright blue-white. Everything seemed encased in an outer sheath which was glowing a pale yellow. The object appeared to be higher up than a helicopter, perhaps about 10000 feet, and at about 45 degrees in the sky. If it was indeed at this altitude it would have been huge in size, although without a point of reference this was hard to accurately gauge. It was however extremely clear and vivid. It was moving on a straight and level path to the South West. Simon estimates it was travelling at a minimum of 100 mph. As it moved the diamond shapes oscillated around one another, like a dumb-bell tumbling across the sky. Upon spotting the object Simon exclaimed “What the fuck is that?!” This immediately attracted the attention of Mark and Rob who also began watching the object. Mark responded “I don’t fucking know! I have no idea what that is!” As the UFO moved across the sky, occasionally the oscillating movement would stop and then start going in the opposite direction, without any apparent slowdown of the object. Simon glanced over at the crowd of people outside the Royal Hall, expecting them to be looking at it too. None of them appeared to have noticed the presence of the bizarre object, they were too distracted. Simon, his brother and friend continued to stare up at it. None of them had a camera on them, and it was before the age of smartphones. After watching the object for about 10-15 seconds something incredible took place. Without any warning, the object immediately accelerated and ascended vertically into the sky at a stunning speed. As it ascended the oscillating motion of the diamonds continued at the same pace as before. Within 4 seconds it had disappeared from sight! This sudden manoeuvre shocked the witnesses further still, and they wondered what exactly they had just observed. After it had disappeared Simon says they just stood there on the pavement amazed. He pointed to the gathering of people further along the road and asked Mark and Rob “Why didn’t they see it?” The object seemed so obvious and out of place, he was surprised nobody else had seemingly noticed it. The witnesses did not go and question anyone, they just continued their walk home, discussing what they’d just seen. I asked whether I would be able to speak to Mark and Rob about the incident. Simon informed me that he and Mark have not remained in contact with Rob. In addition to this Mark is unwilling at present to provide a statement because, unlike Simon, he was quite drunk at the time of the incident and therefore feels his statement would not be valid as a result. However Simon showed him the drawing he had done of the object and he agreed that this was generally what it looked like. Possible Further Sighting The following day when Simon came home from work at 2pm, he and Mark told their mother about what they’d seen. She was quite opened minded and believed them. She had a radio on and was listening to a station called Stray FM, which was quite new at the time. In between music tracks, the radio host suddenly stated that he’d just received a phone call from Starbeck, a district to the North East of Harrogate. According to the host the lady had been on her way to pick up her children from school when she had seen an object that looked like linked triangles moving together and flying over High Street. She had rang in wondering if anyone else had seen it. The host invited people to get in touch. However he then went on to start laughing and ridiculed the lady about her sighting. Simon says that the way the host described what she’d seen left him and Mark in very little doubt that it was the same object they’d seen the night before. However they did not ring in to the radio show because of the way that the host was treating the situation. Sighting Analysis This is a truly bizarre sighting of a very unusual object. It was clearly not an aircraft or helicopter as the lights did not match normal navigation lights at all. Simon informed me that he has always been fascinated by planes and worked as a civil contractor on airfields, and he was convinced this was not a civilian or military aircraft of any kind. It can be seen on 360-Radar that even though there is an airway to the West, the area of sky in which the object was observed does not fall within one. On the below image St George's Hotel is marked: This further supports the idea that it was not a mis-identified aircraft. The various colours means it could not have been a Chinese lantern, as these tend to be solely amber orange in colour and appear as a glowing point of light at a distance, or a cylindrical shape up close. A drone can also be discounted because of the year the incident took place. Simon says that the object appeared to be really large. However due to the lack of a point of reference, it may have been smaller and closer than it appeared to be, something which he cannot fully rule out. Taking this into account, as well as the time of year, could it have been some kind of lit inflatable, perhaps with Christmas lights attached? While this would seem plausible if the object had merely moved across the sky, it did not. The sudden change of direction and rapid vertical ascent certainly suggests that the object was under some form of direct control. Also the way in which the rotation seemed to change direction numerous times does not really fit, if a balloon was tumbling a certain direction in an air current it would very likely continue this same rotation while travelling on the same course. Simon now works on RAF Lakenheath and so is very familiar with how aircraft appear at various distances, times and weather conditions. When I asked him for his thoughts on both the object’s appearance and its manoeuvres he said the following: “When it left it went from a sedate pace to an unbelievable speed. I can’t find the words to describe how quickly this thing vanished! There was no air resistance. In my job I see fighter jets on a daily basis. Whatever it was that we saw there was nothing at that time or now that even comes close to what we saw. The whole shape of it, the colours, the detail, it was incredible!” I have not come across any other sightings where the same thing has been reported. This remains a very mysterious sighting of an unidentified object. If the object the lady saw was the same as what Simon, Mark and Rob saw, as it appeared to be, this suggests that it was in the area for an extended period of time. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 12/06/2021 Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used for some witnesses On 30th May my friend “Johnny G” got in touch with me to excitedly discuss details of a formation of objects he had just witnessed and recorded on video over Tile Cross. This report covers what took place and provides an analysis of the footage. Sighting Details At approximately 2.35pm on 30th May 2021 Johnny was visiting his parents on Haywood Road, Tile Cross. He was sitting in the back garden with his sister Racheal, her boyfriend Tom and their children. His parents were in the kitchen at the time. It was a wonderful sunny, clear and still day. They were sitting at a table playing flip the bottle. Johnny happened to look up into the sky to the North North West. He noticed 6 brightly glowing white points of light at an elevation of approximately 45 degrees. They looked almost organised into three pairs rather than being randomly scattered. Some of them appeared to be stationary while others were moving around in a strange manner, travelling back and forth slowly in arcs. They looked to be at very high altitude although it was hard to judge this because of a lack of point of reference. Johnny got the attention of the others present in the garden and everyone started to watch the objects. As they watched they noticed some objects vanished while others appeared. The witnesses discussed what they might be. Because of the apparent altitude and manoeuvres being performed they agreed that they did not look like balloons, helicopters or planes. After about 2 and a half minutes Johnny realised he should try filming the objects to send to myself for analysis. At this point he started recording on his Poco F3 smartphone. It was hard to tell whether anything was being picked up looking on his phone screen, so he only recorded for 18 seconds. He and the other witnesses continued to watch for a further few minutes. After this time the objects seemed to slowly vanish one by one. Once the objects had departed he took a better look at the video footage he’d captured. He was surprised to see that not only had many of the main objects been picked up, but other fast moving objects had also been captured which he had not noticed directly. He immediately contacted me via Whatsapp to confirm what had just happened. Other Witness Statement On 2nd June I was able to speak with Racheal over the phone to hear what she recollected. Below are the details she provided: “Johnny pointed it out to us and we then looked up. I first saw two silver dots which seemed to be standing still. They were quite shiny. After a short while I noticed another two, either directly under the first two or under and off to the right a bit. For me I saw them standing still for a long time. After a while they seemed to fade away one by one. Then another two appeared off to the right of where the others had been. I looked away, and when I looked back they were further apart than they had been, but it was hard to notice much movement when looking at them.” I am awaiting a call from Tom. Once I have spoken with him, his testimony will be added to this report. Video Footage Below is the 18 second video that Johnny took of the objects: As you can see, as he reported, there are white points of light which seem to be barely moving with other points of light which either fly right across the lens or appear, move around erratically and then vanish from sight. Here is a still from the start of the footage with the six initially visible relatively static objects ringed: At 3 seconds into the video initial Objects A, C, D and F have temporarily faded out, but two further objects, G and H, are now visible: A zoomed view of some of the objects taken at 6 seconds into the video: There are many fast moving white points of light which track across the lens through the footage. Below are some of the main ones observed with flight paths (Note: Flight paths are more curved in reality, these arrows have just been added to show rough directions). Fast Mover A (Enters frame at 2 seconds): Fast Mover B (Enters frame at 2 seconds): Fast Mover C (Enters frame at 2 seconds): Fast Mover D (Enters frame at 4 seconds): Fast Mover E (Enters frame at 4 seconds): Fast Mover F (Enters frame at 12 seconds): The stability of the slow moving objects can be seen more clearly by point locking on them to reduce camera shake and see positioning of other objects in relation to them. As Objects C and D tend to fade in and out during the footage it is difficult to point lock on these, however it is possible to do this for the other objects which are largely visible throughout. Point lock video on Object A. In the first 9 seconds of the video you can see that Objects A and B are nearly stationary, but Object B very slowly moves to the right in relation to Object A. At 6 seconds in Object C becomes visible after the witness starts to zoom in. A number of the fast moving objects can be seen crossing the lens: Point lock video on object B. Again the very slow separation of Objects A and B can be seen: Point lock video on object E. This only really works for the first 5 seconds because after that it leaves the left of the frame and the footage starts drifting. It pops back in from the left at 13 seconds and the lock resumes for a second before it vanishes again: Point lock video on object F. With this video, the erratic manoeuvres of Fast Mover F can be seen: Video Metadata As Johnny was able to send me the video he took on his smartphone directly via E-Mail the metadata attached to it was preserved. Below is the first page of the metadata which contains the date/time it was taken and the GPS poition. The manufacturer and model of the phone camera can also be seen: You will notice that the time on the video says 1.38pm where as in Johnny reported the incident took place at 2.38pm. I queried this with him and he confirmed the later of these. What this means is that the internal clock of the camera in his smartphone has not automatically gone forward for daylight savings so is an hour out. Sighting Analysis My personal opinion is that the most likely explanation for the slow moving objects is a launch of numerous silver/white coloured balloons reflecting the sunlight. In analysing the footage it can be seen that they appear stationary, to the point that I wondered if they were stars. However there are a number of reasons why I do not feel this is the case: - Both Johnny and Tom confirm that in the minutes leading up to the video they observed the points of light moving round one another, even if in the 18 seconds of footage they are quite still. - Stars are usually not visible during the daytime, and when they are it is usually when the sky is dark or cloudy. - The points of light all appeared in the same area of sky, according to the witnesses there were none visible in other directions. - The points of light vary in brightness and some disappear/reappear during the footage. This suggests objects changing rotation and sometimes reflecting the light stronger that at other times. - After a number of minutes the objects vanished from sight gradually, probably because they drifted too distant to see any longer. - A small amount of movement between Objects A and B can be observed: Another possibility would be a distant formation of drones that for whatever reason were being flown together. However most of the time drones are only launched in large formations when they are to be utilised for a light show, which would of course have to take place after dark so there would be very little sense in launching them in the early afternoon. The objects remained in the same area of sky for a number of minutes so a formation of aircraft can be discounted. A formation of distant helicopters, while theoretically possible, is very unlikely as no aircraft were tracked by Flight Radar 24 in the area at the date and time of the sighting: Also 360 Radar confirms that the area has no airways over it, although it is only a mile North of Birmingham International Airport: I think it is very likely that the fast moving objects crossing the lens are insects reflected in the sunlight much closer to the camera. Below are some zoomed images of Fast Movers C and E in which it is even possible to make out the wings: Also this would explain why Johnny and the other witnesses did not see them with their own eyes, only on the footage. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 07/06/2021 Last Updated: 10/06/2021 On the evening of 4th June 2021 BUFOG member Mark, 50 years old, got in touch with me via Facebook Messenger to report a UFO sighting which he and his father had just experienced over Northfield, Birmingham. In the following days I spoke with Mark about the incident and analysed the footage which was sent to me directly. After releasing the report online, three other independent witnesses came forward on Facebook to state that they had also seen the same object. I spoke with one of these witnesses in depth, another briefly, and am awaiting contact from the third. Sighting 1 - Kingshurst Road Sighting Details At 5.09pm on 4th June 2021 Mark and his father Dave were in the back garden of their house on Kingshurst Road in Northfield, Birmingham. Dave was sat at a table while Mark was up a ladder fixing the guttering on the rear of the house. It was a hot, still and sunny evening with partial cloud cover. Mark had just come down off the ladder when Dave exclaimed “You want to see that up there!” Looking to the North North East at an elevation of about 80 degrees he saw what appeared to be a highly reflective spherical shaped object travelling slowly across the sky. It seemed to be at quite a high altitude up, just lower than the clouds. Mark wondered what it could be. It did not have the appearance of a plane or helicopter and appeared to be completely silent. It also seemed too high up and large to be a drone. Aerial map of Kingshurt Road indicating the direction the UFO was observed in: Mark ran inside to grab his Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone. Returning outside the object was still visible, moving on a slow course to the East. He zoomed in on the object attempting to get a better look at it. The course of the object was not level or continuous, it would meander and also alter its speed. He and Dave continued to watch the object. After watching for about a minute it seemed to slow down to a halt, and then begin slowly reversing direction heading back towards the West. Soon after this Mark lost sight of the object on the camera. He stopped filming at this point, but continued to watch for a further 15 minutes to see if it reappeared. Second Witness Statement Mark sent me an audio recording of his dad describing in his own words what he recollects taking place. The transcript of this recording is as follows: “I was sat outside, cloudless sky, and I seen this coming like a bird, a very…very high. I thought it was a bird at first, it seemed ever so high and small and I thought ‘Blimey that’s high!’ Then it was coming from like the East. Then slowly, and then all of a sudden, it started like flashing off the sun and I thought ‘That can’t be a bird, it’s got to be a plane.’ And then it suddenly like stopped, and then started like floating, seemed like hovering or floating, whatever it was, and then it like started moving down South way, and all of a sudden it got…there were clouds coming up then, and all of a sudden it was like inside the clouds, and I thought…I couldn’t believe what I was watching! When Mark came out I said to him ‘You want to see that up there.’ Ever so funny, I’ve never seen anything like it, and I even thought about it could be a balloon but it couldn’t have been a balloon because it was flashing off the sun, you know. There was no particular shape, that’s why at first I thought it was a bird. Then I thought it was a plane. That was the…but being so far up in the sky I couldn’t make out what it was, you know. It was ever so funny. It was really high, you know.” Video Analysis Below is the footage Mark shot on his smartphone: As you can see, the footage shows what the witnesses reported, a spherical/oval shaped object which is highly reflecting the sunlight. However it is possible that this apparent shape is due to the distance and the reflective glare, it may not actually be this shape. Mark first captures the UFO on camera at 3 seconds into the footage: He initially finds it hard to keep it in the zoomed lens, so changes position before managing to locate it again at 38 seconds: The object gradually moves on an Eastward course, sometimes meandering up and down rather than remaining precisely level. By 1 minute 38 it has slowed right down and is near stationary: At 1 minute 57 seconds it slowly starting to move in a Westerly direction while slowly ascending: At 2 minutes 53 seconds Mark loses sight of the object At this point it is very close to the edge of a cloud so it is possible it either enters this cloud or is hidden behind it: At various points of the video white or dark coloured dots can be seen flying past the lens. These are very likely to be insects flying close to the camera. Here is a good example from 2 minutes 11 seconds: Throughout the video the two witnesses can be heard speaking about the object. Below is a transcript of the audio of the video: D: Where is it? M: There! What is it up above? D: Can’t see it. I can’t see it. M: Strange in’it? Looks metallic! D: Yeah. M: Like a metallic looking thing in’it? D: I can’t see it. M: It’s ‘cause of the sun in my eyes I can’t zoom in. D: Where abouts? M: Above here. Right above us. Look there! Here! D: Oh I can see it now! M: What the hell is that? D: That ain’t a plane! M: It’s not a plane is it? It looks like it’s hanging about by there. What is that? It’s still now! D: What it is? M: I dunno. D: Lost sight of it… M: It’s in this cloud here. Right there. It’s just hangin’ in the cloud. Dunno what the hell that is! Trying to zoom in. It’s just hovering in the cloud ain’t it? D: Still can’t see it. M: Like a metallic…I dunno…a metallic ball or something in’it? That’s well high that is, in’it? D: Still in the cloud is it? M: Yeah it’s just stuck there. D: I can’t see it. M: I dunno. D: Can you still see it? M: I dunno. It’s the light in my eyes as well I mean it’s still there…it was there. D: Wonder what it is. M: I don’t know, but it’s like…oh there it is there look! D: Where? M: Just there between them…see if I can get it. Bloomin’ sun! It’s in my eyes. There. D: It’s leaving the cloud? M: There. I’m…it’s just there now. There. D: Lost it whatever, I can’t see it at all. M: Don’t even know if I…yeah. Zoomed view of the UFO taken at 39 seconds, with and without edge find: Zoomed view of the UFO taken at 71 seconds, with and without edge find: Here is a stabilized section of the footage making it easier to see the slow movement of the object against the cloud: Metadata Analysis Because Mark sent me the original video footage directly I was able to extract the metadata from it. Below is the first page of this metadata: Note that the Create Date stated in the metadata is an hour before the time reported by the witness. I have seen similar anomalies with other video files. This is because the internal clock of the camera does not change with daylight savings, so at some points of the year it can be an hour off. The GPS positioning of the phone is visible, and the metadata also confirms the footage was shot on an Android smartphone just as Mark reported. Sighting 2 - Borrowdale Road On 9th June Helen Bennet got in touch with me to confirm that she and her friend “Lisa” had also seen the object after coming across the case report on Facebook. I got in touch with her via Messenger audio chat to go over the details. Helen says she cannot provide an exact time, but it was between 5-5.30pm. She and Lisa were in the back garden of her home on Barrowdale Road, approximately 1 mile West of Kingshurst Road. She looked up into the sky and happened to see an object glinting in the sky to the East. It was at a very high altitude up amongst the clouds and appeared to be travelling on a straight and level course slowly to the South. At first she assumed the object was a large balloon, as it looked spherical to the naked eye, but it did not seem to be drifting up and down in the manner balloons would usually do. Helen is an avid sky watcher and owns some ran into the house and grabbed her Celestron binoculars to take a closer look at the object. When she returned to the garden and looked at it through the binoculars she immediately exclaimed “Oh my god!” Helen says that it appeared to be a silver-coloured domed-disc shaped object with bright amber coloured lights around the central rim. There was no rotor blades, wings, tail or vapour trail. The sunlight would also occasionally catch the upper half of the object, but this looked distinctly different to the glowing lights around the middle. It was very hard to judge the exact distance and therefore size of the object, but it certainly appeared very high up, which would have made it about the size of a small car. Helen says the movement was very direct and it certainly appeared to be a controlled craft rather than drifting balloon. Lisa could not initially see the object due to poor eyesight, so Helen handed her the binoculars so she could observe it too. They took it in turns watching the object for up to 10 minutes as it slowly moved to the South, sometimes passing through or behind clouds. In the end it vanished into the distance. Helen says she did not see the object ascend or descend at all or change direction. Helen had an Android smartphone on her at the time, but did not attempt to record the object as she was too amazed with looking at it through the binoculars. Later on in the evening she confirmed the direction the object had been travelling in using the Stellarium app on her smartphone. Sighting 3 – Kitts Green On 9th June a third witness, “Grace”, contacted me via Facebook to confirm that she too had seen something unusual in the sky on 4th June which she believed was the same object. I am still awaiting detailed information on this sighting but here is an initial statement from her: “I sat watching that in my garden Kitts Green. B33. It was like a silver shiny object going above and around the clouds. I thought I was seeing things. I was trying to figure out what it was. It wasn't anything I have seen before but I'm just thinking maybe a drone. Don't know the time, it was sunny day time. But it was earlier than 5.09pm.” I will add further details as they become available. Conclusions Looking at the video footage taken by Mark the object does not move like an aeroplane, these tend to continue on a straight course across the sky or perform gradual arcing turns. A distant helicopter reflecting sunlight would be capable of making the manoeuvres observed. However firstly the area does not lie within an airway, as confirmed on 360 Radar: Also there were no tracked helicopters (or aeroplanes) in the area around the time of the incident, as seen on Flight Radar 24: I checked for a period of time prior to and after the quoted time of the incident to allow for time discrepancies, and at various zoom levels. While not every aircraft is tracked on Flight Radar 24, the fact nothing showed up makes this explanation far less probable. The slow manoeuvres of the object throughout the course of the video are not consistent with a distant bird, nor is there any sign of movement coming from it, so I feel this explanation can be discounted. While a drone is theoretically possible, the object filmed does seem to be at a very high altitude. If it is at the height it appears to be (which is backed up by the fact it seemingly vanishes into or behind cloud towards the end of the footage) then it would have to be quite large in size. Of course none of the above explanations fit with what Helen described the object as looking like through binoculars. I initially felt the most probable explanation was a large inflatable of some kind, possibly silver or white and reflecting the sunlight. This was because the object does not perform any sudden manoeuvres which would indicate it was under control, it just gradually drifts. However Helen’s drawing of the object puts this explanation into question – what she has drawn looks more like a domed-disc shaped craft of some kind than a balloon. We must also address the change in direction. Helen and her friend did not see this occur, probably because they were more distant from it and lost sight of it before it began to change course. At the time of the incident there was a 3 mph wind blowing to the East, as confirmed by Meteoblue historical data for Northfield: Mark says that at ground level it seemed completely still, however at higher altitudes this may well have been present. All the witnesses report that the object was initially travelling to the East, and this can also be seen in the early part of the video footage. However at 1 min 28 secs into the video the object appears to slow down. At 1 min 48 secs it stops completely and then begins to travel in a South Western direction until Mark loses sight of it. Therefore in this latter part of the video it appears to be travelling into the wind. It is entirely possible that there were numerous air currents at various points in the sky, and it just got caught in a different current. However another possibility is that the turn the object performed was intentional, and that it really was flying into the wind. When Mark lost sight of it, it is possible that it was hidden from view behind a cloud, but due to the length of time he and Dave continued to look for it after he had stopped recording it seems more likely it moved out of visible range, in much the same way that it did for Helen. It is unknown if the Kitts Green sighting is related or not at present. Kitts Green is on the other side of Birmingham, and Grace believes that her sighting happened prior to the other ones. The various witnesses from Northfield all confirm that the object was travelling Eastward from the West, not the other way around. Of course it is possible that the object was circling the area for a period of time, after all it changed direction towards the end of Mark's video footage. Hopefully once more details are received from Grace it may be possible to confirm whether or not it was a different object. Based on the evidence currently available I feel that a large silver coloured inflatable cannot be entirely ruled out. However this has not yet been confirmed without question, and with the closer examination of the object by Helen and her friend there is certainly the possibility that this was an advanced craft of some kind. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 28/05/2021 On 26th May 2021 I was contacted by a young lady named Crystal who had recorded two reflective UFOs hovering over Hartlebury Common two days previously. She was able to send me the footage to analyse. Sighting Details On the morning of 24th May 2021 at 8.08am Crystal noticed a reflective object in the sky from the kitchen window of her house on Farm Road, Stourport-on-Severn. Initially she didn’t pay much attention, but soon realised that the object was quite still and appeared to be rotating. She stepped outside the back door of her house to view it more clearly. It was a pleasant and sunny morning with a light breeze blowing. Looking to the South East from her location she realised that there were in fact two identical looking objects in the sky. The second object was higher up in the sky and to the left of the first. They appeared to be over Hartlebury Common roughly 1.5 miles away. The objects were either highly reflective or silver in colour. It was hard to gauge the exact shape of the objects but they looked potentially oval. They both seemed to be tumbling or rotating. To her naked eye, Crystal feels they were about 6 feet across. They were very moving extremely slowly, to the point that they almost appeared to be hovering on the spot. Crystal began filming the objects on her Samsung Galaxy A71 smartphone using Snapchat. She filmed them for 38 seconds. During this time, the lower object had barely moved but the upper one moved to the left and was largely hidden from view behind a nearby tree. With the objects still visible she decided to stop filming them and go into the house to put her phone on charge and send the video to her father. Once she checked outside again after a couple of minutes neither of the objects were visible. Video Footage Below is the video footage which Crystal took. Unfortunately the quality is not great as she could not find a way to send it me via E-Mail, it was too large, so she sent it via Whatsapp which compressed it a little: A still of the footage from 3 seconds with the two UFOs ringed: Here are zoomed stills of the two objects: The same zoomed stills with edge find: As you can see, due to the distance not much detail can be made out. They certainly appear to be solid reflective objects, oval in shape, and there is a definite rotation or tumbling motion to them which can be seen by the light reflecting off them periodically rather than constantly. They are drifting very slowly as the witness reported. Sighting Analysis Firstly it can be confirmed that the two objects are not distant aeroplanes or helicopters. Below is a map from 360 Radar which confirms that Hartlebury Common is not in an airway: Here is another still from Flight Radar 24 which shows that at 8.08am on 24th May 2021 no tracked aircraft were in the vicinity. I watched for a period of time both prior to and after this time to take into account witness error or incorrect clock settings on her smartphone: The objects do not appear to be drones. I would expect to see more visible structure to these in daylight hours, even at a distance, and drones tend to dart around much faster rather than glide very slowly, although of course they have the capability to do so. Due to the length of time they are hovering and their appearance, birds can also be discounted. However I feel that there is a high likelihood these are two mylar balloons which have been launched in the area for whatever reason. At no point does either object perform any fast manoeuvres or sudden changes in direction which would indicate intelligent control. They drift very slowly for the duration of the footage. The apparent rotation seen can easily be explained by buffeting from air currents. Even though it seems likely that balloons are the explanation in this case (although not yet conclusively confirmed), I would like to thank Crystal for recording the footage and sending it me to examine. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 23/05/2021 Last Updated: 24/05/2021 In April 2021 I got in touch with Simon after he mentioned having a UFO sighting which he recorded on video while commenting on Facebook. We had an extended messenger call to discuss the experience. The following month he sent me the video footage, the analysis of which can be found in this report. Sighting Details At 6.40pm on 14th March 2019 Simon had just left Tesco superstore on Ordnance Road in Buckshaw, Lancashire. It was partially cloudy but due to the time of year the sun was already setting and a number of stars were visible. It was also quite a still evening. He was just about to get into his car when he happened to look into the sky to the South. It was now that he noticed a white light travelling in his direction. It was at an elevation of 30-45 degrees in the sky, and appeared to be within half a mile to a mile away, on the far side of the nearby railway line. He estimates it was between 1000-2000 feet up within the cloud layer. With a previous career as an Air Frame Mechanic for the RAF, Simon was well aware of how aircraft looked at different distances and in different lighting conditions. This light didn’t look right for a distant aircraft, it looked too large and no other navigation lights were visible. Simon jumped into the front seat of the car, grabbed his mobile phone and began to film the light through the front window. The object began to change direction slightly towards the East, and then quickly vanished into some cloud. Unfortunately there was no break in the cloud from that point, so it did not re-appear. Simon says that there were a number of other people in the car park at the time, but they may not have seen it due to the short length of the sighting. Video Footage Below is the video that Simon took of the object: Here is a still from the video taken at 3 seconds, with the object ringed: Zoomed still of the object: As you can see, the glowing white light is clearly visible moving at a steady speed and course. The other erratic white light at 2 seconds in is a reflection in the camera, likely from one of the lights of the car park. After 5 seconds of filming the object you can see it vanish gradually, seemingly vanishing into cloud as the witness reports. The change of direction reported by the witness is not really noticeable in the footage, it is possible that while the witness is attempting to stabilize the camera it is heading in a North East direction, but by the time he has stabilized it this change in course has already happened. Metadata Analysis Metadata is a wealth of information which is automatically stored against photographs and videos. The amount of information stored and exactly what information can be extracted varies from camera to camera. Below is the first page of metadata extracted from the video file, which confirms the date and time it was taken at: Sighting Analysis Like Simon I agree that this does not look like a normal aircraft at first glance. Because of his background in the RAF, if it was a distant plane or helicopter it is likely he would have treated it as such and not bothered filming it in the first place. However it can be seen from 360 Radar that Buckshaw Village does lie inside an airway (orange area): I indirectly spoke with an ex-RAF Flight Officer who has access to historic flight data. They responded with the following: "Sadly [the incident happened] too long ago, the system doesn't have the data. I looked at the location and the report. From Buckshaw looking south. This places the viewer about 20 Miles North of both the departure track from Manchester airport and the Arrivals track into Liverpool airport. It would therefore seem to be reasonable to consider the sighting to be either a departing or arriving aircraft into one of those two airports, 20 miles is perfectly viewable for an aircraft with its landing lights on and in the stated weather conditions this is entirely plausible. I checked the Manchester departure logs for March 2019 but they are incomplete and some dates are missing including 14/03 however if the flight was scheduled it is highly likely that it would be the same on the same days days in the preceding and following weeks i.e., 7 days before and after as airlines only change their schedules twice yearly. The closest I can find is the same day of the week two weeks prior to the report. This shows 5 airline departures in the slot from 18:35 to 18:45 - the sighting time has to allow to for the flight to climb to an altitude where it would be seen. It also gives a margin for the witness to mis-report the time slightly...If I saw what is seen in the video I would assume it was an airliner nose on at long distance, something which I have seen many times when I lived up North. We could easily see aircraft approaching Manchester from distances of between 20 and 30 miles." Simon's response to these comments are as follows: "The light was a lot closer than that. I have never seen aircraft arriving or departing from Manchester airport. The horizon at sea level is 6 to 8 miles. If the ground between me and Manchester airport was flat aircraft would be below the horizon until several thousand feet. The light turned towards the cloud and disappeared. Unfortunately this is not clear in the video. I know with my background what I saw." The International Space Station can appear as a bright white orb of light which can look unusually close. I have actually observed this on a sky watch directly. However because we have the precice date and time it is possible to determine exactly where the ISS was. Below is a map showning its position at the time, confirming this was not the explanation. A satellite would not appear this bright or large, and the change in direction removes this as a possibility. From the video footage it is clear that it is within the atmosphere rather than out in orbit. It is also the wrong colour for a Chinese lantern, which tend to be amber orange. However, because of the appearance of the object, its distance from the camera, the relatively short length of the sighting and lack of any advanced manoeuvres, there are a number of mundane explanations which cannot be entirely ruled out. Perhaps it was an LED balloon or other lit inflatable drifting on an air current. Simon thinks not because if it was a helium balloon, it would likely have ascended as it moved. While this may be true, it was only observed for a few seconds, there was not long enough to really see if its flight path was entirely level. Another possibility is that it was a drone of some kind. In recent years drones have become widely available. They can move rapidly and at a distance look like bright points of light, often white in colour. It is hard to say much more about this brief sighting, but it is great that Simon managed to capture it on camera. Copyright Dave Hodrien 2021

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 05/03/2021 Note: For reasons of anonymity, pseudonyms have been used for most witnesses I have known Chris Loughlin for a number of years after meeting him at a music festival. In early March 2021 he revealed details of a UFO sighting he had experienced back in 1999 on our Facebook community page BUFOG Truthseekers. After speaking with him directly it transpired that he has in fact been witness to three separate incidents. This report documents these incidents in depth. Triangular Light Chris believes his earliest sighting occurred around 1999 when he lived on Hollyhook Close in Crowthorne, Berkshire. It was summer time and he had just finished secondary school. He would often relax and chat with his friends sitting on top of some bushes which lay alongside the public footpath which runs between Hollyhook Close and Eagle Close. Late on one of the summer’s evenings Chris met two of his friends Gavin and Tim there. It was between 10.30-11pm and the sun had fully set. It was a really clear and still night, with the stars and moon fully visible. They were only wearing T-shirts, but it was still quite warm even after dark. Gavin suddenly remarked “What’s that?” staring at something above them. Looking up, Chris was puzzled to see three red glowing lines in a triangular shape. In between and around the lines he could make out a dark gun metal coloured surface. It was clear that this was a triangular shaped light in the base of a larger object obscured from view by the darkness overhead The light was completely stationary. It was hard to estimate it's height accurately but it was at least several hundred feet up. There was no sound coming from it whatsoever. After about a second the light instantly changed to a bright yellow colour. A second later it changed to green. A second after this it went back to red. It continued this cycle repeatedly with no variation in timing. Chris could barely believe what he was looking at. He kept asking himself “Am I seeing what I appear to be seeing?” He was excited by the prospect of this being something highly unusual. Back in 1999 nobody had smartphones, and neither he or his friends had a camera on them. They just all stared up at the colour changing light. After approximately 20 seconds it suddenly vanished. There was nowhere it could have disappeared to as there were no clouds in the sky at the time. It was just gone. Chris discussed the sighting with his friends. All three of them were amazed by what they had seen. They remained there a while longer before heading back to their respective homes. In the weeks and months following the sighting Chris says his friends gradually became more and more dismissive of what had taken place. After a while they denied it had happened at all and brushed it off, perhaps concerned that they would be ridiculed. Chris has not kept in touch with them so I cannot speak with them about the incident. However Chris says that even if he had they would be unlikely to want to discuss it. This is a very peculiar and interesting sighting. I have not dealt with many cases where triangular shaped lights have been reported, there are far many more cases where the entire object is triangular shaped. The shape of the entire object is unknown, but Chris is convinced that what he was looking at was a light embedded in the base of something larger, due to the fact that the light was illuminating the surface around it a short distance. If this sighting had happened more recently I would have possibly suggested a drone with an unusual light attached to it. However this took place back in 1999 before drones were available for public purchase. Also drones tend to make a buzzing/humming sound even at a distance, and this travels even better after dark when background noise is generally at a minimum. Below is an example video of a drone being flown after dark as an example: It could not have been a laser display projected from the ground somewhere close by because there were no clouds, so the laser would have nothing to bounce off. There is a possibility it was a radio controlled model with a bright flashing light attached, and that the operator had the means to switch the light on/off at will. Another similar explanation could have been that it was a drifting inflatable with a light attached which happened to run out of batteries and turn off just as it was being observed. These explanations cannot be entirely ruled out. However we are still left with the possibility that this was in fact an advanced craft of some kind with an unusual light in the base of it. There are many cases of UFOs on record which have suddenly vanished from view in a clear sky, suggesting either stealth technology of some kind or even the possibility of dimensional travel. It is certainly an intriguing sighting! Green Light Patterns By 2012 Chris had moved to Chorley in Lancashire. Occasionally he would go camping with his friends on Healey Nab, a local area of wooded moorland. The summit of Healey Nab is known as Grey Heights, and is marked by a cairn of stones. In the summer of either 2012 or 2013, Chris and 8 others headed to Healey Nab to camp overnight. They set up their tents near to the disused quarry known as Devils Rock and then went to explore the area. They decided to relax a while near to the cairn on Grey Heights, with a view to the West in the direction of Blackpool. It was about 11.30pm and fully dark. The lights of Preston and Blackpool were visible in the distance to the North West. There was light cloud cover but some stars were still visible and it was quite a pleasant evening. All of a sudden several miles away everyone noticed some strange green coloured lights in the sky. The lights were stationary and there were many individual points. Chris says the green colour was similar to the colour of the Meridian Laser in Greenwich, London: As they watched the lights changed into different recognisable patterns including a star, hexagon and circle. They watched them for a couple of minutes, discussing what they were looking at. It is possible some of the witnesses had cameras on them but nobody attempted to film what they were looking at. As it was distant and after dark it is unlikely much would have came out. Suddenly the lights vanished without trace and did not reappear. While this incident sounds fascinating to watch, I feel the most likely explanation is that it was a projected laser light display coming from somewhere nearby hitting the base of the cloud layer. Chris says that there was nothing known about in the nearby vicinity which could account for this, such as a sizeable nightclub. However as the precise date is unknown, it cannot be confirmed whether there were any special events going on at that particular time. Also there is the possibility that it was taken out to somewhere more rural to briefly test, and this is what was observed. Chris is planning to get in touch with some of the other witnesses to see if they would like to give a statement to add to this report. Silver Cone In 2017 Chris used to work as a barman at the Dressers Arms, a pub in Wheelton, Chorley. One morning in March he was on his way home after a morning shift. He left the pub at 11am and several minutes later reached the nearby bus stop on Victoria Street. It was a very pleasant, sunny and still morning. There were a few vehicles on the road but the area is generally quite quiet. After waiting at the stop for a short while, Chris suddenly noticed an object up in the sky to the North. It was at an angle of 45 degrees and appeared to be situated above the horse training grounds on the far side of the road. Chris estimates it was about 300 feet up. The object was brightly reflecting the sunlight. At first he thought it must be a bird caught in the sun’s rays. However he soon realised it was completely motionless. It appeared to be highly reflective silver in colour and cone shaped, like a sphere with a sharp point sticking out of the right side. It appeared to be about 10 feet in diameter. There were no markings visible on it. He was listening to music at the time via his smartphone and took his headphones off to see if the object was making any noise. It appeared to be completely silent. Puzzled by what he was looking at he continued to stare at the object. He was so transfixed by what he was seeing he did not think to try and photograph or video it. Chris thinks he must have observed the UFO for at least 30 seconds, but it felt like much longer at the time. He is not suggesting time slowed down in any way, just that it seemed to. Suddenly the object completely vanished in a clear sky. There was nothing it could have been obscured by, it had just blinked out! About five minutes later a lady emerged from the stables on the opposite side of the road with two horses. She led them over to the gate to the field just along from the bus stop. Chris asked her “Did you see that?” However she had not seen the object as she had been too busy to look around. In terms of the shape and colour of the object, it reminded Chris of the craft out of the well-loved 1980’s alien movie Flight Of The Navigator after it changed shape to take off at speed: This is quite a mysterious sighting. It seems unlikely the object was a silver-coloured inflatable as firstly it was completely motionless for the period of time it was observed, and secondly it suddenly vanished from sight. A balloon would logically have drifted away slowly, not simply disappeared. If it had been much further away then possibly it could have seemed to vanish if the sunlight stopped reflecting off it suddenly, however it appeared to be quite close. It was clearly not a helicopter and was the wrong shape for a drone. A hovering bird can be discounted, just as Chris did while witnessing the object. Although uncommon, I have investigated other sightings of cone-shaped UFOs before. While it was not particularly large, I feel that mundane explanations can be discounted. Conclusion Chris has had several fascinating and varied experiences, and it is great that he has decided to share the details of these with me in order to create this report. While the green lights seen near Healey Nab were most likely caused by a laser display, his other two sightings are far more anomalous and both have very interesting aspects to them. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 06/04/2021 Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used, and precise location and other personal details have been omitted On 2nd April 2021 I was contacted by a 52 year old man from Northern Greece, who I will call Yiorgos. After learning about my investigation work online he wanted to provide testimony regarding a UFO that was witnessed by both him and the rest of his squadron while on active service at an East Coast Greek air force base back in 1989. Yoirgos informed me that he has a diploma in Aircraft Engineering, and has previously worked on a number of Hellenic Air Force bases as an Aircraft Mechanic. We met on Facebook messenger via webcam to go over the details of the experience. Due to the sensitivity of the incident regarding those involved, I am only able to provide certain details in this report. Sighting Details In July 1989 Yiorgos was stationed at a particular East Coast Air Force Base for a couple of months as part of a squadron exchange combat simulation exercise. He was part of a 12 strong squadron made up of himself and three other mechanics, four weapon handlers and four pilots. In the combat simulation Yiorgos’ squadron would act as an aerial enemy force, and other jets would then have to take off and intercept them. His squadron and others would rotate, sometimes with day shifts and other times night shifts. As an Aircraft Mechanic, he would be tasked with regularly checking the aircraft to ensure that there was no damage, oxygen leaks or fuel leaks. One night Yiorgos’ squadron was on active duty. They were situated in a building at the Western end of the main runway of the air base, very close to where the jets were ready for deployment in the event of a simulated attack. This room had in it a table and chairs, couch and bathroom, and was specifically designed to house squadrons while on duty. At around 12.40am Yiorgos stepped outside to stretch his legs. It was a very warm and still summer’s night. It did not appear cloudy, however it was fully dark overhead and the stars could not be seen. As he leant backwards to stretch he noticed three lights in the sky. They were a dull red in colour and were in an equilateral triangle formation. The lights appeared to be situated half way along the main runway to the East of his location, roughly 500 metres away. This would have meant that they were over the middle of the base. They were at a 45 degree angle in the sky from his position. They appeared to be at a height of 300 - 500 metres (984 - 1640 feet), and due to their positioning to one another appeared to be attached to a single object that was impossible to make out due to the darkness. If they were indeed at this height, and were indeed attached to a single object, Yiorgos estimates that it would have been 30 - 35 metres (98 - 115 feet) across, much bigger than a fighter jet. The lights appeared to be hovering completely motionless in the sky. There was also no sound coming from them at all. He called out the mechanic who was scheduled to do the next rounds of the aircraft. Pointing out the lights Yiorgos asked him “Look at this! What is this hovering above the air base?” The other mechanic responded saying “I don’t know what that is!” Yiorgos called out the rest of the squadron to take a look at the lights. They came outside and from this point started observing it too. Nobody had a camera on them to be able to attempt to photograph or video the lights. The squadron watched the lights for about 10 minutes. During this time the lights remained motionless and silent. The witnesses did not speak much to one another they just stared at the lights wondering what they could be. Suddenly without warning the triangle of lights shot away at an incredible speed to the East! As they went Yiorgos heard a whooshing sound of the air disruption, but there was no sound of any engines. He says that the acceleration was instantaneous and within a second they had vanished into the distance. All of his squadron witnessed this stunning manoeuvre. After the lights had vanished from sight, everyone present excitedly discussed what they had just seen. Yiorgos recollects that one of the witnesses jokingly said that the alien invasion had begun! Others wondered if it had been a top secret experimental aircraft of some kind. After what had just happened they all expected the alarm inside the building to sound, signalling to scramble aircraft, or for someone to give this order over their walkie-talkies to scramble the jets. However this did not take place. It was as if nobody else on the base had noticed what had occurred. A number of hours later the next squadron arrived to relieve them. Yiorgos and his squadron returned to their barracks to sleep. The incident was still at the forefront of his mind. Later in the day once everyone had woken up, they received a call from the commanding officers asking them to go to their office. When they headed there Yiorgos found out that they were aware of what had taken place. The officers stated that they had been testing the air defences, and what the squadron had seen was something similar to a Boeing E-3 Sentry, an Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft. They were then ordered to keep quiet about what had occurred. Yiorgos informed me that he was friends with a number of the radar operators on the base at the time. He later learned from a trusted source that nothing had been picked up on radar, suggesting that the object had been actively jamming it. There had definitely not been a power outage on the base at the time, so this was not responsible for the lack of detection. Witness Background Check I am absolutely happy with the details Yiorgos presented me with regarding his military background. He comes across as extremely sincere, and once I had gained his trust he provided answers to my questions succinctly and without pause. It was very obvious to me that he was talking about a real experience which had taken place. It is clear that anonymity of both himself and his squadron is of paramount importance, and he has nothing at all to gain from sharing these details with me. To confirm his background to me Yiorgos sent numerous photographs of both himself on active duty and his military uniform. Due to his wish to remain anonymous, full detail of his background cannot be displayed in this report. However, he has allowed me to include a couple of the photographs, directly modified to protect his identity: Sighting Analysis This is a truly stunning multiple witness encounter with what appeared to be an advanced craft under direct intelligent control. Even though the main body of the object could not be seen, because of the manoeuvres performed it seems extremely likely that it was a single object rather than three illuminated objects in tight formation with one another. It did not appear to be a normal aircraft of any kind. The majority of planes cannot hover motionless in the sky so can be discounted. It did not appear to be a helicopter. Firstly the lighting configuration was completely wrong, a point confirmed by Yiorgos. He says that because of his background he is extremely familiar with how all kinds of aircraft, both military and civilian, look after dark at different altitudes. Drones were not commercially available when the incident took place, and Yiorgos is convinced it was not a military drone. The fact that the object was silent throughout the sighting is also very important. Yiorgos says that if there was standard engines or rotor blades he and the other witnesses would have been able to hear them at the distance the object appeared to be. Yet even when the object accelerated away it did not make a sound. Lastly, the manoeuvring capabilities the object displayed when it left the location were of course far too advanced for it to have been a normal aircraft or drone. To my knowledge they completely put mundane explanations out of the realms of possibility. All the witnesses present watched the object perform these manoeuvres – they did not simply see the lights suddenly vanish, they actually watched them fly away into the distance in the space of a second! When I asked Yiorgos to estimate the speed he said “To be honest I can’t tell you how fast it was, just a flash. Like a bullet.” The explanation from the commanding officers that what had been observed was “something similar to an AWACS aircraft” is of course ridiculous. These aircraft cannot hover still in the air, make an audible sound, cannot instantly accelerate, cannot fly at the extreme speeds witnessed and have standard navigational lighting including a continuously strobing white light. All the witnesses were aware of these facts but of course could not argue against what they had been told without fear of losing their positions. It is unknown what the officers knew or did not know about the UFO, but their loose explanation combined with the order to not talk about it indicates that a cover up regarding it took place. This is one of the reasons why this case is so sensitive. Yiorgos says that he knew the radar operators on the base well, and fully trusted them when they informed him that nothing had been seen on radar. An object of that size would certainly have shown up, so this clearly suggests that it was actively blocking the radar using stealth technology. The UFO headed off to the East over the Aegean Sea. There is the possibility that there were other witnesses to it who have yet to come forward, potentially sailors aboard shipping vessels that happened to be in the vicinity. Unfortunately due to confidentiality reasons I am unable to disclose the specific air base or show any maps in this report. Conclusion The motionless hovering, lack of sound, instant acceleration and incredible speed observed are all aspects that have been reported many times before in other UFO cases. There are plenty of incidents involving triangular shaped craft, commonly referred to as Flying Triangles. These craft usually tend to have a light at each corner (sometimes red, sometimes other colours, and in some cases accompanied by other lights). Taking into account the details of what occurred, I feel it is probable that this is what was observed. If so, then there is the possibility it was there to determine the offensive capabilities of the base. There are many incidents where UFOs have been seen in close proximity to military establishments. Yiorgos has sadly lost touch with the majority of his old squadron. A couple of the witnesses have since passed away, and many of the others he no longer speaks with. He has remained in touch with one of the witnesses, and on my request he got in touch to see if he would provide an anonymous statement for this report. Unfortunately at present he is un-willing to do so. I would like to personally thank Yiorgos for his bravery in coming forward with the information provided in this report, despite the sensitivity of the incident. If he had not been brave enough to speak with me then it is very unlikely this stunning event would have ever been publicly known about. In time some of the other witnesses may decide to come forward and add to this report. There are likely to be other incidents similar to this which have occured, and I would like to use this opportunity to offer an open invitation to other military personnel who would like to talk with me in strictest confidence. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Authors: Dave Hodrien & John Judge Release Date: 30/01/2021 Last Updated: 28/02/2021 Introduction John Judge is a member of Birmingham UFO Group and a personal friend of mine. He was born in 1951, and has accomplished much throughout his life including becoming a body builder and author, and achieving the highly renowned rank of Master in Karate. At the age of 23 John moved to Margate in Kent with his first wife, Lynne. It is here that a number of fascinating experiences began, including UFO sightings and being visitations. He has also experienced a number of paranormal incidents as a child. This case report is a long time in the making as I actually began to document John’s case back in 2018. We had started speaking of his experiences in depth, and were in the early stages of planning this report. In June 2018 we both attended the Awakening UFO conference at Manchester. John won two tickets for it at one of our group meetings and very kindly offered me one of them. But then disaster struck! Soon after we attended the conference, John was involved in a serious motorbike accident which almost cost him his life. Over the last two and a half years he has undergone a slow course of rehabilitation. He has sadly lost the use of most of his limbs, but has bravely carried on and made the best of this awful situation. Unlike the majority of the cases I investigate, John took the time to write out details of most of his experiences in substantial depth. He also provided me with many maps and drawings to include. Throughout this report, many of the incidents begin with John’s written statement, which is then followed by additional information and comments from myself. Vision of the Fire The earliest experience which John can recollect occurred when he was quite a young age, perhaps three or four. His grandmother lived in Nechells at the time. His grandfather had sadly already passed away. Sometimes he would sleep overnight at his grandmother’s house. The mattress on the bed had not been changed in a while and was a little concave. John remembers lying awake in bed on his front and having to push himself up a bit to climb out of the depression. When he did so he looked over to his left towards the window. In front of the window was a chest of drawers with two long candles in candlesticks. There was quite a lot of light coming through the closed curtains into the room. All of a sudden he saw the vision of burning flames appear between the candlesticks! He then saw two men holding hoses and running around back and forth. He was too young to understand that these men were firemen trying to put the fire out. He is unaware how long this went on for, but he fell back off to sleep still watching the vision. When he woke up it was morning and the room looked completely normal. He was too young to query what he had seen and does not recall mentioning it to his grandmother or other family members. Many years later when he was in his late teens he was having a conversation with his mother when she suddenly brought up his grandfather’s fire helmet. Up until that point John thought that his grandfather used to work as a salt miner, so he queried what she meant by this. She informed him that he left that job after a while and then became a part time fireman for a number of years. It was now that the penny finally dropped. John thought back to his early memory of seeing this strange vision of the firemen trying to put out a fire. He wondered if this had been his grandfather trying to make contact. This possibility was quite a shock to him! John was quite young when this incident took place, and he was in bed at the time. Therefore possibility that this was a vivid dream of some kind cannot be entirely ruled out. However the vision clearly became engrained in his mind for years to come. How many times do we even recollect dreams we have had, let alone think about them on a long term basis? This certainly was an experience of great importance to him, but he did not know why until many years later when he found out about his grandfather’s later profession. I feel that this could well have been a paranormal experience of some kind, especially considering further incidents which took place during his childhood. Disappearing People Until his twenties John used to live in Cope Street, Lady-wood, Nechells, close to the main railway station and canal which lead to Birmingham centre. Between the age of 10 to 13 he would often be allowed out to play and would go for long walks along the edge of the canal or roads leading up to Birmingham. One day he was walking along the canal edge when he heard the sound of footsteps coming up behind him. Other walkers would often catch up and go past him so this was nothing out of the ordinary. He turned around and sure enough there was a man heading towards him. The man looked completely normal and not threatening in any way. However on this occasion for an unknown reason he felt extremely uneasy. He moved to one side and pretended to bend down and tie his shoelace so he would not have to look at the man as he walked by. He only glanced away for several seconds. When he looked back up the man was nowhere to be seen! There were no side paths coming off the canal and on the other edge of the path was dense undergrowth. Where the man had vanished to was a complete mystery. If this had been a one off incident it would be possible to put it down to natural causes. However over the next few years the same thing occurred roughly three more times! Every time it occurred John would feel uneasy about the individual, and they would then vanish when he briefly looked away. John does not believe that these individuals were normal people. He believes that he possesses sixth sense type abilities, and that these people were spirits which he could briefly see. Later in life one of his friends who is a practising medium confirmed that he thought John was psychic. It is interesting that John mentioned these incidents, as it is common for contactees to mention possessing abilities such as these. There is a definite link between the two phenomena, so it did not surprise me at all when he mentioned what had taken place. Faces in the Dark During his teens John began to see faces appear around him after dark on regular occasions. These faces would always appear when he was lying in bed before he dropped off to sleep and in a relaxed state of mind. He would see them about twice a week. The faces looked clear and he could make out features clearly. They would mingle and float across his vision in different directions. Some would only appear briefly for a couple of seconds, others a little longer. They would never speak to him, but would just stare down at him. Most of the time the faces would be human. They were of a mix of people – men and women of different ages and colour. However occasionally John would see amongst them the vision of a Grey’s face. At this time in his life he had no idea what it was, as he had not looked into the UFO subject in depth. He was just aware that it was different and clearly not human. The face had pale grey skin, a large cranium, pointed chin and large jet black almond shaped eyes. It had a small nose and a slit for a mouth. Whenever the Grey’s face appeared it would act differently to the other faces. Instead of drift around it would swoop down towards him and seemingly vanish into him. When it did this it would sometimes make him jump, and he was apprehensive about seeing it. John took this for the being attempting to get his attention, but like the human faces it did not speak. These visions continued throughout John’s life. After a while he got used to seeing them and they became normal for him. He used to see them right up to his accident in 2018. After coming out of hospital he now has to sleep with the lights on in case he needs care during the night. John says that the visions of the faces only appear in the dark, and believes that if he was able to sleep with the lights off he would still see them today. While it would be convenient to just dismiss these faces as hallucinations brought on by his relaxed state of mind and the darkness around him, John thinks otherwise. He believes that these may be spirits of individuals, both human and alien, spirits he is able to pick up with a sixth sense ability he has had throughout his life. It is also important to remember that John would sometimes see Greys in these visions many years before he would start looking into the subject of ET contact. In a way these incidents represent his earliest known contact experiences. Crimson Orb This is the first incident which John has provided a detailed written statement for. “When we first moved to Margate we were living in a one bedroomed flat located in Trinity Square. Whilst living in this flat we had my first daughter, Karen, in 1974, and moved to a two bedroomed council house on Wharfedale Road in 1975.” “I was working as a test engineer for a company on the Westwood Industrial Estate between Margate and Ramsgate. I built and tested water valves for fire sprinkling systems and feed pipe shut-off valves. Our house faced North East and was approximately a little over 1 mile away from Margate seafront. Manston RAF Station was approximately 4 miles South West of our location.” “It was back in the late summer of 1976, and I had not long been blessed with my second daughter, Jennie. It was a clear autumn night in November, at approximately 10:30. It was clear and cloudless, but not too cold for the time of the year. All the stars were clearly visible from my rear garden. My back garden was an ideal position to view the stars at night because our garden was quite long and there was very little light pollution from the street lights or houses around us to block out the stars.” “At the back of our house, which was a two story building, the houses were a lot older than ours, in fact they were three stories high. Being a keen amateur astronomer I decided to view the Milky Way and to see if I could find some of the binding stars in Orion I had read about a week earlier. I had a pair of binoculars, 10 x 50, and to keep the field of view steady I would lay on a camp bed, with my head facing South West.” “On this particular night I noticed a flash of light over my house, coming from a North East direction, heading South West. I quickly moved my binoculars to my eyes in order to observe this object, but I couldn’t find it in the binoculars view, so I quickly lowered my binoculars and noticed that the object was moving North West towards Margate sea front. In the time given it must have done an abrupt 90° turn to my left.” “What made it even more intriguing, was as it moved North West I could clearly see it zigzagging, left to right, right to left, not in a smooth undulating way, but more in abrupt, hard, fast turns. It was circular in shape, fuzzy, no sharp outline to the object. I didn’t wear glasses then. It was a dull crimson colour, which omitted no sound, or any other colours or lights.” “The duration of this sighting was between six and eight seconds in total, as far as I could estimate it was the size of a golf ball held at arm’s length. At no time did this object slow down. I was stunned by this experience and couldn’t believe what I had seen, so immediately rushed indoors to tell my wife about this incident, but unfortunately for me she was not interested in my excitement. As time went by, I started to have doubts about my sighting as it, become a distant memory. However this turned out not to be the last time I would see this type of object.” “It was after this encounter that I decided to join the BUFOIN organisation, which was under the leadership of Jenny Reynolds at that time, to see if I could discover any logical reasoning behind my encounter. It was during this time in 1979 that I was able to speak to Dr. Hynek during the first London International UFO Congress, Mount Royal Hotel, Marble Arch, London. I wanted to know if he knew of any scientific theory that could describe the zigzagging motion of my first UFO sighting. His answer was ‘I know of nothing that would explain your experience’.” This is an impressive sighting, not only due to the unusual appearance of the object, but also the stunning manoeuvres it performed. In speaking with John about the incident he informed me that he initially assumed it was a bird catching the lights from the ground. However, as an avid stargazer, he is extremely familiar with how birds appear after dark at various altitudes. They have to be at quite low altitude to catch the light. John estimates the object was 400-500 feet up, too high for this to have been the explanation. If it was at this height then he estimates this would have made it about 10-15 feet in diameter. The object was also the wrong colour and shape for it to have been a bird, and the zig-zag manoeuvres it performed were too abrupt and sharp. In recent years a remote controlled drone could potentially have been responsible. However this incident took place back in the early 1970s, many years before these would become available. The movements it performed were also too fast and direct to be a Chinese lantern or lit inflatable of some kind. Aeroplanes of course travel on a straight course or perform gradual turns. While helicopters can perform more immediate changes in direction, the UFO was moving much too fast. At the speed it was going, John believe that the G-forces would have killed a human pilot. It would usually be possible to make out other navigation lights, rather than just the dull crimson observed. Also at the altitude it appeared to be at it would have been possible to hear the sound of rotor blade or engines, yet this object was silent. John wonders whether his inability to clearly focus on the object was some kind of energy field around it distorting the air. This is entirely possible. I have investigated numerous other cases where a similar phenomenon has been reported, and this may also be the reason why some of the UFO photographs on record appear out of focus. John says that a few days after the incident he began to have a psychological battle with himself, trying to convince himself that it was something mundane, yet knowing deep down that this did not fit what he had seen. He says it was completely and utterly outside of his experience up to this point. However as you can see from his statement, this incident resulted in an interest in the UFO subject and eventually led to him discussing it with highly renowned astronomer, scientist and ufologist J Allen Hynek about it! John says that the fact that Hynek could not explain what he had seen intrigued him further still! Daylight Disc “In July of 1980 I was on my way to open my Marshal Arts School, which was situated behind Margate’s Fire Station, on the corner of Grosvenor Gardens (A255) and Park Place. I arrived at about 4:00pm to open up my club for my Wednesday 5:00pm junior Karate training session. Back then the building was owned by Margate’s Snooker Club and I rented their 3rd (top) floor.” “When I arrived at Park Place to park my car I was unable to find any parking spaces, so I drove around and parked at the top of High Street. To get to my club I decided to take a short cut, a public path that wound between the houses from High Street to Park Place. As I walked down this path, I was thinking about what equipment I was going to need and the lesson I was about to give.” “It was about 4:10pm on a nice summer’s day in July. There wasn’t a cloud to be seen in the clear blue sky. The houses on Park Pl are three story buildings and I wasn’t able to see much of the sky as I walked down the path until I reached the end and exited onto the road. As I exited the path I had this urge to look up to my left. I noticed a gun metal grey object at about a 40° angle to my position. It stopped me dead in my tracks.” “This object admitted no sound, nor reflected any sun light. There were no flashing lights, and it was moving very slowly from the South East, I would estimate the speed to be around 30mph, and its size to be a little larger than that of a tennis ball held at arm’s length. When I first observed it, it looked to be cigar shaped but with sharper ends. Then the shape changed to more of a rounded shape. It was at this point that I realized the shape wasn’t changing, but my angle of sight relative to the objects movement. I was now seeing more of its underside and it now looked more like the traditional UFO shape. I didn’t see any markings or shapes around or under the craft. It was smooth and looked solid in nature, nuts and bolts, and the underside was a lot darker in colour, probably in shadow.” “When this object was about a 65° angle to my position I realized it was doing a very gentle and slow turn to my right in a large arc until it was travelling in a Westerly direction towards Margate beach. It looked to be under intelligent control and I watched it until I lost sight of it over the roof of the snooker hall. Unfortunately, there was no one around to witness this event.” “As I opened up my club and started to get out the equipment I needed, and got myself changed into my karate Gi, I was only thinking about what I had just seen. I couldn’t quite believe that I had glimpse a traditional shaped UFO!” Unlike John’s initial UFO sighting, this sighting took place in broad daylight. It appears to be a genuine sighting of a disc-shaped craft, which is why John describes it as such in his statement. It was at low enough altitude to clearly make out the shape and confirm that this was not a normal aircraft of any kind. John estimates that it was at least 40 feet across, too large to have been a novelty inflatable or remote controlled model. It was clearly not a blimp, as he observed it from different angles as it turned and headed away from his location. In asking him about the appearance of the UFO, John says that there were three small domes positioned in a triangular pattern around the base. There was also a central circular marking, although the underside was too shadowed to make this out clearly, so he is unsure if this also extended. As he observed the object, John says that he thought to himself “Bloody hell, not another one! A second UFO, I don’t believe it!” He was quite dumbstruck by what he was witnessing. He was not carrying a camera with him at the time. John says that there may have been other witnesses to this object, as it headed off in the direction of Margate seafront, which would have been quite busy at the time. Thinking back to the experience he says that he is sorry he did not go to the newspaper to find out if there had been any other sightings of it. He did not mention it to the children at the karate class, as he needed them to have full trust in himself as their teacher. Nor did he mention it to his family due to his wife’s dis-interest in the subject. Golden UFO “In December 1981 I fancied doing some star gazing in a different location other than my house, and couldn’t make my mind up as to where to go. For some reason Jose Bay was in the back of my mind. At around 11:30pm I decided to follow my gut feeling and went to Jose Bay, which is about 15-20 minute drive from my house. I don’t know why I thought this location would be good for a night watch as I had only ever been there during the day. Jose Bay sits in a narrow bay on the East coast between Kingsgate and Broadstairs, Kent, facing 63° east. It’s a semi-horse shoe shaped bay with beautiful white sands flanked by deep sand dunes.” “The North Foreland Lighthouse is about 1km south of Jose Bay, with the B2052 (North Foreland Road) running from Kingsgate Bay through Jose Bay and pasted Stone Bay, on down to Viking Bay.” “I parked my car in the car park that’s located on top of the cliffs a little South of centre of the bay, at around midnight. It was quiet a clear night, not really a night for viewing the stars, because the full moon was about 20° above the horizon, North East of my position, blocking out a lot of star light. But I have to say it was a breath taking view, the silver moon light was reflecting off the calm sea, a picture box scene.” “I took out my binoculars and spent some time just viewing the craters on the moon. About half an hour after arriving at 12:20am I spotted a brilliant gold glowing round object, about 25° above the horizon, moving at rapid speed from my right, South East, shooting North West. There was no sound, no other colours, or lights to be seen. I noticed the side of this object facing me, couldn’t be reflecting any light from the moon, but still this gold luminous coloured object was omitting a radiant light.” “Even when it crossed the moon, the brilliant golden light wasn’t dimmed in any way. I watched the object disappear in a North West direction. The sighting lasted between 30 to 45 seconds and the size of the object was about the size of a 5 pence piece hold at arm’s length.” “The part of the experience that still impacts me today, was the brilliant gold light emitted from the craft, it felt like a spiritual experience. You can see the lighthouse, which was almost behind me to the south, but at no time did I see the lighthouse beam flashing across the sky.” John was very familiar with how aircraft look after dark, making this an interesting sighting. In this incident the object observed did not perform any extremely fast manoeuvres. However its colour sounds very unusual indeed. When I asked him to describe the colour in more depth he said “It was a beautiful golden colour. When I say beautiful I mean beautiful! It was eye catching. More than gold. The colour almost reached inside me and pulled my soul out. That's how this colour grabbed me.” John says that as the object flew across the sky it appeared to be ascending slowly, however he says that this could have been down to the curvature of the Earth. He says that he was fascinated by the object, and not at all frightened by it. In fact he even tried to speak with it telepathically, asking it to come over and say hello in his mind. The colour of meteorites is determined by the chemical elements they happen to contain, and sometimes they can appear golden in colour. However the object was clearly not a meteorite for a number of valid reasons. Firstly meteorites are usually extremely fast and are only visible for a couple of seconds at most. This was travelling much slower. John says that it took several minutes to disappear from view. Secondly there was no visible trail behind the object. And lastly meteorites descend as the travel across the sky, whereas this object was either travelling on a level course or even slightly ascending. The UFO could not have been a Chinese lantern. Lanterns are usually an amber orange colour not golden. Also they are of course launched over land. This object was clearly quite far off the coastline. John also confirmed that the lighthouse was not active at the time, so a reflection from this on clouds can also be discounted. Therefore it remains a mystery. John says that once again he kept this incident to himself. He had now had several sightings and was beginning to wonder why. He even considered whether he was mentally well or not. Lit Domed Disc “I am not too sure as to the month, but I would estimate it to be around February 1985. It was approximately 3:30am. I had just finished doing a shift as a doorman at a nightclub on Margate seafront.” “I had just come out of the bathroom and was passing the window to my left, facing South West at the top of the staircase. The lights were out as I didn’t want to disturb the children and my wife. My attention was drawn to a single flashing light above the houses at the end of my garden, which were three stories high. I remember just how dark it was as there were no light on any of the house I could see.” “At first all I could see was an individual bright white light flashing on and off, but moving from left to right as it flashed, disappearing and seconds later starting the whole sequence again, flashing from left to right. As my eyes become more accustomed to the darkness I could just make out the silhouette of a domed-disc shaped craft.” “It was very difficult to see, as the craft was just slightly darker than the surrounding sky. At this stage the object was stationary and the bottom eighth of it was obscured by the roof of the house it was hovering near. It admitted no other lights or colours, and was hovering there silently.” “I watched the object for about 30 to 40 seconds and during this time frame the object didn’t move. I also got the impression that the flashing light was actually rotating from left to right and around the back of the object, taking approximately 2 to 3 seconds to complete the transit along the side of the object facing me. When the flashing light was around the back of this object, the object was totally dark. I then realized the light was travelling around the outer edge or rim of the object.” “It was very difficult to estimate the objects size because it was difficult to make out its silhouette, but the flashing light gave me some perspective and I would estimate the size to be a little bit larger than a tennis ball held at arm’s length. I couldn’t say how far away the object was, but I do feel it was further away than near.” “As I watched this object I add the distinct impression that it was also watching me. I decided to go and wake my wife to get her to witness the object, but as usual she moaned and didn’t want to know. I was in the master bedroom for approximately 3 minutes. When I rushed back to the window the object was gone. I do remember seeing some stars in the sky, but there were also some lightly scattered clouds too.” “When I woke up the next day I rang Manston RAF air traffic control, who confirmed they had had no traffic in the Thanet area at the time of the sighting.” This may well have been a genuine sighting of a domed-disc shaped craft in the vicinity of John’s home. It certainly appears to have been a lit aerial object of some kind. John was familiar with the view from the window and confirmed to me that there would usually just be clear sky visible above the roofs of the houses. While it cannot be ruled out that the object was some kind of lit blimp or other inflatable this seems unlikely. For what reason would this be flown at that location at 3.30am in the morning? Also whatever it was vanished quite rapidly, although John was away from the window for several minutes so it is conceivable it could have descended or moved out of sight within this time frame. The silhouette of the object certainly fits in with an ET craft, and I have investigated numerous other cases where extremely similar lighting has been reported, with a sequential flashing light around the outer rim. With this shape and light configuration, a helicopter or normal aircraft seems very unlikely. If it was a genuine craft, then it is unknown if it was in the area to monitor John directly or whether he just happens to have witnessed it. There was no sign of any direct interaction with him throughout the experience. John wonders whether the occupants of the craft were aware that he was observing them, and this is why they chose to vanish while he looked away from the window. There are many cases on record where UFOs have vanished without trace at the moment when witnesses have taken their eye off them, this is a commonly reported aspect. The Black Entity "In 1988 we moved to 30 Sussex Ave, only 260 metres from Wharfedale Road. It was a two story, pre-war three bedroom house with a small front and medium size rear garden. We needed the extra bedroom because of the arrival of my son John Paul in 1978." "The house faces West pointing towards Dreamland on Margate’s sea front. It was midsummer of 1992. Everyone was in bed and all was still and quiet. The master bedroom was pretty dark as usual, as there are no rear lights to flood the bedroom. Our bed faced North and the window was to the right of the bed with a sliding door wardrobe at the foot of the bed. "I was just dozing off when I felt this tingling sensation start from my feet and move up to the rest of my body. And unlike when meditating, this tingling got more intensive to the point where it woke me up. I have no idea as to what this tingling was. It was like some sort of electro-magnetic effect." “As someone who is use to doing meditation during my karate practice, I would sometimes get a tingling sensation in my fingers and toes. I was told by a very good friend of mine, Paul, who is a practising psychic, that during meditation you are opening yourself up and sensing a spirit close to you.” "As I awoke I noticed a dull white light, about 4 feet in height and the same across its breath. It was to the left and bottom of our bed. It was fuzzy on the outside and a little more intense in brightness in its centre. Within seconds of seeing this light it started to grow bigger and become brighter. Then to my amazement a dark silhouette of a man stepped out of the light, started to move towards me and stopped." "I couldn’t make out any features only the shape of the head, shoulders, and torso. I couldn’t see his legs due to my position lying on my back in bed. I would estimate the entity to be around 5’08” - 5’10” tall, with curly hair." "For some reason I wasn’t happy with the presence of this figure in the bedroom and felt an intense uneasiness which was growing by the second. The tingling didn’t help, it was now very intense making me feel even more anxious." "I truly believed this figure to be evil, so I closed my eyes and wished it to go away in a very forceful manner with my mind. When I opened my eyes the entity had gone. I was pretty disturbed by this experience and for the longest time couldn’t understand what was going on in my life. I never mentioned this to anyone, especially my wife or kids." "I do feel that this type of contact as a very real spiritual attachment, I now believe we misunderstand the differences between a third dimensional entity and what we believe to be a spiritual presence. Food for thought. However, as the years have gone by, I have learnt a lot about what are known as ‘Shadow People’, and must admit they have a lot of similarities with this experience." "I call this period of time 'my awakening', because all these experiences have slowly lead me by the hand, building one on top of the other, expanding my awareness to cope with the more dramatic events I would experience in the future. I began to wonder if this was going to become my way of life." This appears to be John’s first experience possibly involving direct contact. Up until this point he had only seen UFOs at a distance, at least to his knowledge. John certainly believes this experience involved a visitation by an entity of some kind. While this may be the case, there are a number of similarities between his experience and those described by individuals while suffering from sleep paralysis. This can occur when the body is in a state of semi-sleep, exactly as John reports. During sleep paralysis it is possible to experience tingling sensations and see shadowy forms in the room which often feel evil in intent, all aspects which John mentioned. Also the way in which the entity vanished without any direct interaction after John closed his eyes would fit this scenario. That said, many of these aspects are often reported during contact experiences. While there is a degree of cross-over this does not mean that they are one and the same. There are many aspects of contact which cannot be explained away by sleep paralysis or other sleep related conditions. John says that he felt completely awake when he saw the entity, and also believes that he was able to freely move, which may suggest that this was a genuine contact experience. Also some of his later experiences are clearly linked with contact as you will see later in this report. If we assume that the entity was an ET being of some kind, then what could it have been? It did not appear in the shape of a Grey, it looked more humanoid, and John describes seeing the outline of curled hair on its head. It was also the height of a normal adult. There is the possibility that this was a Nordic, silhouetted in the light coming from beyond it. Of course screen memories complicate things somewhat. ETs are known to often mask their true appearance and appear in other forms. This seems to be more prevalent in early experiences, perhaps to reduce the trauma of the situation. As this was John’s first visitation experience there is the possibility that this is what took place. John mentions “shadow people” in his statement, however when I queried him about this he said that he believes the darkness of the being was being caused by the fact it was standing in front of the light, not because it actually looked like that. The light coming from behind it is commonly described in ET visitation experiences. Quite often the beings will step out of a glowing light from an unknown source, possibly an open portal of some kind. Another possibility is that the being was a ghostly apparition of some kind and not linked with contact at all. There are numerous cases on record where people have experienced a tingling sensation while witnessing paranormal activity. Whatever the explanation for this incident, this was only the first of a number of fascinating experiences with beings of various kinds. Energy Beam "After the dark entity experience things seemed to settle down for a couple of years. I was concentrating very hard on my karate career, and was lucky enough to travel to various parts of the world teaching or refereeing karate competitions. I had been to Israel on several occasions to teach and grade black belt students." "On one particular visit to Israel in June 1995 I was left with no doubt that I was going to be pursued by these entities wherever I go. On 4th June I had been putting the students who were taking their black belt gradings through their paces ready for their up and coming tests. I was staying at the Kibbutz Kfar Blum, with a population of about 700. Kfar Blum falls under the jurisdiction of Upper Galilee Regional Council, not far from the Golden Heights." "After about 3 hours of hard work the session had come to an end at 1.00pm. It had been a hard training session for me because it had been a very hot day and I was not used to the heat, so I retired to my accommodation. I had a nice cool shower, and made myself a cup of coffee, then settled down to watch the news." "It was about 2:15pm and I was lying on a single bed. My body was propped up by two pillows so I could see the TV. Lying down wasn’t the most sensible thing to do because before I know it I had dozed off." "I was in a semi sleep state, not awake, but not asleep, when I became aware of some sort of energy flowing from the ceiling to the floor at the bottom of my bed. I moved to the bottom of the bed and put my head into the energy beam. I looked up and remember saying 'Oh it’s just you' even though I don’t remember seeing anything. I then moved back to my sleeping position." "As I lay there I suddenly become aware that both of my arms were being pinned down hard to the bed. I then lifted both arms and threw off whatever was holding my arms down, shouting 'I’m the master here!' When I say that I throw both arms in the air, I’m not referring to my physical arms." "I then suddenly woke up to see the room as it was before I dozed off. When I checked my watch it was now 2:30pm. I sometimes wonder if this was an abduction attempt or an attempt to carry out a physical examination." As with John’s previous experience, there are some aspects of this incident which would fit with sleep paralysis. Once again he was in a semi-awake state, which is when sleep paralysis is most prone to occur. In this instance he actually felt something holding him down on the bed. This is a commonly reported aspect of sleep paralysis, quite often the individual undergoing the condition can feel an entity of some kind forcing them down, or in some cases even see it. That said, there are other parts of the experience which do not fit this explanation. John clearly seemed to have been able to move during at least part of the experience. When I questioned him about what happened he informed me that he got up on his knees on the bed and then stuck his head out into this beam of energy, which he could sense rather than see. He says that he sensed it was several feet across One particularly fascinating aspect is John’s reaction when he looked up. He clearly seemed to recognise someone familiar to him, even though he does not remember seeing anything. This could suggest that this was linked with contact and he was seeing ETs which he had already seen in the past at least once. If so then he seemed comfortable with their presence. Quite often contactees report a sense of familiarity with the beings they encounter, and sometimes treat them like an extended family. However, John seemed far less comfortable with what happened next and forced off whatever was pinning him down. At the time he was amazed at how he had managed to do this, as he was aware he had not done it using his actual arms, it was more through the power of his mind. John says that he is perplexed by what he shouted. He says that he has never viewed himself as the master of anyone, and this reaction has bothered him ever since. Out-Of-Body “In 2000 I was separated from my first wife Lynne, and was living in a one bedroom flat, which was over a state agency shop at the beginning of Northdown Road, Margate.” “On this particular night I had gone to bed at around 12:30am and fell off to sleep pretty quickly. My bedroom was square shaped with a window facing out onto Northdown Road with my bed opposite. My feet faced towards the window in an South Easterly direction.” “I became aware of a tingling sensation that started from my toes and quickly moved up my body to my fingertips then spreading up to the top of my head. It was similar to the sensation I had before when I was woke up by the dark entity entering my bedroom.” “With a jerk my body began to lift off the bed. My arms remained by the side of my body, my legs remained outstretched, and my head had no feeling of weight to it, which I found odd.” “I had probably lifted no more than a foot off my bed when my body started to drift over to my right. I didn’t like this situation and started to shout out in my mind ‘I’m not going under the bed!’ I just felt that’s where I was going and I didn’t want to go there.” “The next thing I noticed was looking at the corner of the room to my right. I noticed flickering shadows on the walls and ceiling just like you would get when light is passing through water. I then realized I had turned a full 180°.” “Before I knew it, I started to drift back over towards my bed and then began to spiral around about 180°, stopping over my bed. Without warning I felt myself slide back into my body with a thump. I thought this was strange, because during this whole incident I don’t remember seeing my body in my bed.” This experience certainly has much more in common with an out-of-body experience than an abduction. Although abductees often report being levitated upward from their bed, they generally then proceed to float out of the room (often passing through a solid ceiling, wall or window) and then towards a waiting craft in the vicinity of the house. This did not happen here. John reports drifting upwards a short distance, turning around against his will, before falling back down into his body. Out-of-body experiences are sometimes reported by contactees, but, like sleep paralysis, are very different to contact. It it theorised by some that they involve the spiritual body becoming detached from the physical body and drifting apart for a period of time. However others believe OBEs are just created in the mind and not actually taking place. Sometimes the individual is able to move around freely, other times such as in this incident the individual is unable to control where they move to and just observe what is happening. It is interesting that John felt he was going to drift under his bed, and was terrified of this taking place for an unknown reason. This possibly has links with the fear people experience during sleep paralysis, potentially brought on by the lack of control of the situation. Paranormal Activity In 2002, two years after his divorce from Lynn, John moved to a rental house on Uplands Close in Medway, Kent. He made the move because at the time he worked in Rochester and didn’t want to have to travel. Soon after moving in strange experiences started to occur. On several occasions John heard the sound of footsteps walk up the staircase right up to his bedroom door. This would happen during the night and actually wake him up. He did not believe this was echoes coming from next door as both of his neighbours were quiet and didn’t tend to make noises after dark. John had a computer set up in the kitchen with files and books stacked around it. He was very familiar with the layout of this area as he would regularly work at it. On numerous occasions he was convinced that some of these were being intentionally messed around with by an unseen entity. On numerous occasions they would vanish, sometimes for weeks on end, before reappearing in odd places. Other times objects vanished never to be seen again, such as a ruler he’d left in plain sight. There were other occasions where John would witness glowing orbs flying around the property. They were generally glowing white in colour and quite small in size. He would witness them at least once a week and they could occur anywhere. Most of the time they would be seen after dark, but occasionally would also occur during the day. In one example he was sitting near the TV in the living room at around 3pm. He intended to go outside and cut the grass. As he bent down to do his shoelaces up, a glowing orb flew into his vision from the right and seemed to pass right into his face. The house was owned by a nightclub manager and good friend of his. After a while John decided to tell him about what was going on at the property. When he mentioned the things which had been taking place his friend laughed and said "Why do you think we moved out?” as he walked away. John did not ask him in detail about what he had experienced there. Hybrid Visitation “By 2005, I was living on my own in the house. I hadn’t long been separated from my second wife, Michel. On this particular night I had gone to bed. I was sleeping in the back bed room at this time, it was about 1 am.” “A figure suddenly peered around the bedroom door. I couldn’t see any features so to speak of, looked a little like the shape of a Grey. I believed this entity to be a young female. I don’t know ‘why’ just a feeling. She came into the bedroom and walked up to me on the right hand side of the bed. The entity was about 3’ 6” tall, light grey, almost white coloured skin.” “I started off lying down flat on my back in my bed, but then I found myself in a sitting position. I didn’t realize this until after the visit and I had a chance to go over the event in my mind. I said hello as the entity sat on my lap throwing its arms around me. As the entity hugged me, I felt its arms squeeze me tightly, in fact it squeezed me so hard the sides of my body compressed as if I was made of sponge.” “I asked the entity not to squeeze so tight and it relaxed its grip. I told her the entity it shouldn’t be there and it had to go back, I don’t recollect it speaking to me. As the entity left my bedroom it turned around just enough to wave goodbye. To my recollection I have never seen this entity before or after this occasion. I wonder sometimes was she a ghost or a hybrid, maybe my child?” “I do remember seeing a mark on my right hand during the day. I did wonder where it had come from, I hadn’t hit it and I don’t remember seeing it until the day after the visit. It’s shaped like a triangle, light red in colour, about the size of a 5 pence piece.” In speaking with John about this particular being he confirmed that the door was shut initially and he actually watched it open. There was no light on outside the room, but there was enough light from the moon and nearby street lights coming in from behind the curtains to see the surroundings. Then the head and one arm appeared around the side of the door, and the being actually waved at him. He revealed that one of the reasons he felt it was female is that she had long, straggly and thin pale blonde coloured hair on her head, although he also sensed this. Once she walled closer to him he was able to see her more clearly. Although her body shape was similar to a Grey, slender with an over-sized cranium, and she had pale grey coloured skin, her eyes were not black. They were a bit larger than human eyes, and blue-ish in colour with visible irises. She had a small nose and thin slit for a mouth. There were no ears visible. She looked youthful and healthy, which is why John felt that she was of a young age. She did not smile or frown at him, but John sensed that she was friendly. He was not frightened of her at all. John also confirmed that he spoke to the being. When she entered the room and walked alongside the bed John for an unknown reason he felt like she was not supposed to be visiting him. He said to her “You know you’re not supposed to be here don’t you?” She did not respond to this question but instead reached out and hugged him tightly. She was squeezing too hard so John asked her to lighten her grip around him. She did not audibly answer him but John got the impression of agreement in his mind. He was still aware of the feeling that she was not supposed to be visiting him, almost like she’d sneaked there to say hello. He didn’t want her to get into trouble so said to her “It’s been nice talking to you but it’s your time to go now!” She seemed to agree with this as proceeded to stop hugging him and walked back out of the bedroom. Although John did not recall meeting with this being before, he sensed a feeling of connection with her, very much like she was his own child. After speaking in depth with him about the incident, I feel it is certainly possible that this was a visitation by a hybrid girl which may have been created from his DNA taken in a previous abduction experience that he cannot currently recollect. Her appearance certainly fits with this explanation – she had certain features which looked very much like a Grey, but others such as her long hair and eyes which looked more human. Contactees who are involved with the hybrid program often report meeting with hybrids who have been created from them. The Crimson Orb Returns “In 2007 I moved back to Birmingham to live with my mother in Yardley. I was out one Tuesday night in October 2010, at 11:30pm, putting out the bins for collection on Wednesday morning. I spotted an object moving rapidly from the East over the houses on Deakins Road, at about 45° elevation.” “It was circular in shape, silent, fuzzy, a dull crimson colour, about the size of a pea hold at arm’s length. It reminded me of my first UFO sighting back in 1976.” “It suddenly turned North towards Hob More Road, then a sharp turn east towards the Yew tree in the direction of Birmingham Airport. It was moving so fast I had trouble keeping it in sight.” “Two things struck me most about this sighting. Firstly its speed. It didn’t slow down for its two sharp turns. Secondly my inability to focus on this object regardless of how hard I tried. It was like looking at ultraviolet light.” It’s incredible that John’s most recent UFO sighting closely matches his first in terms of appearance of the object and speed of movement. It’s quite rare that an individual would have multiple sightings of potentially the same UFO. Due to how fast the object moved and its sudden changes in direction it could not have been a normal aircraft or helicopter at high altitude. John confirmed for me that the sighting took place on a clear night with no cloud cover, so this puts out of the question that the object was reflection of a laser light moving rapidly across the base of clouds. As with his initial sighting, it was the wrong colour for a Chinese lantern, and was moving too quickly to be an LED balloon. As it took place in 2010 there is the possibility that it was a quad drone. These can move quite rapidly and change course extremely fast. However drones tend to be audible even at a distance, making a loud humming sound. They also tend to have numerous coloured lights which glow much brighter. Here is a video of a lit quad drone flying at a distance after dark for comparison to John’s testimony: As you can see, even at a distance it is possible to make out the four corner lights of the object, although the sound does drop off considerably. John is familiar with how quad drones look and move, and does not believe that this is what he saw that night. If the object seen in both sightings was a genuine ET craft, then this suggests that it was a similar (or even the same) craft returning to monitor John directly. Given the fact that he has had numerous contact experiences this is not outside the realms of possibility and should be considered. The Grey and the Vortex “The night of 14th June 2015 was like any other night. I had gone to bed. I wasn’t under any stress and I had nothing in particular on my mind, in fact I had a good night’s sleep. That was until I woke up to see a figure standing halfway up the right-hand side of my bed. I immediately recognised this figure to be what we commonly call a Grey. Although the room was in darkness, it was semi-lit up by the new lights the council had put into place about two years prior to this event.” “I was able to partially make out its features. It looked like a dark greyish silhouette, the normal big head, slender body, and black big eyes. I guess it was around 4’ 5” tall.” “This entity was standing on the right hand side of my bed watching me. I had no idea as to how long this entity had been watching me for. It suddenly started to run to the bottom of the bed and then across to my left. As it passed by my window I was able to track its movements. On reaching the lift hand side of my bed it moved towards my bedroom door to my left.” “The entity got to about half way up my bed when it began to become transparent. Then suddenly it disappeared into some type of vortex, a vacuum, or into the wall...I really couldn’t say. This vortex, for want of a better description, was collapsing as the entity was running towards it. As soon as the entity passed into the vortex, the vortex collapsed until it was gone. I could see into this vortex, but couldn’t make anything out.” “The way it collapsed was interesting, it didn’t collapse uniformly, but in small increments, collapsing...pausing, again collapsing and pausing in jerky movements, until it was closed. It didn’t collapse slowly either, taking about a second to collapse from being about 4’ 6” wide, vertically and horizontally, down to nothing... it collapsed in on itself. The centre didn’t move position as it collapsed, nor did it emit any sound or light.” “I immediately grabbed my mobile phone, which was on my bed side drawers to my left to check the time. It was 4:43am.” “One thing I keep asking myself is why I didn’t jump out of bed and confront this being. The answer is I don’t know why. It wasn’t as if I was afraid, it just didn’t occur to me to carry out that action. I’m quite sure that if it had been a thief I would have grabbed them. I do wonder if they had some sort of control over me. One thing is for sure, they didn't expect me to wake up, as the entity was as startled as I was!” This is a truly stunning experience, and one which has obvious links with contact. Unlike some of his earlier sightings of entities, this one was clearly of a Grey. John was able to move freely and watch it move across his room, after which he immediately grabbed his phone. It is therefore likely he was very much awake and that this was a genuine visitation rather that related to sleep paralysis. I have investigated many cases where contactees are visited by Greys during the night. It is unknown if this being was there to interact with John directly in any way. It may have been planning to abduct him, or may have even been returning him after an abduction which has been completely removed from his mind. As John says, it does not appear that it was expecting him to wake up due to the way it backed off and quickly left the local environment. The way in which it proceeded to do this is particularly fascinating. I have investigated numerous other incidents where a vortex or portal of some kind has been described, and which the beings have either emerged from or disappeared into. However the way in which the vortex closed around the being in a fragmented fashion is extremely unusual. I have not personally investigated any other cases where this has been reported, although there may be other cases out there. There are of course numerous questions that remain. Where did this vortex lead to? Why did the being need to step back through it to leave the bedroom? Why was it positioned on the other side of the room to where it was standing? These are of course questions we will likely never find the answer to. The point John makes about the way in which he acted fits in with many other contact experiences. In most cases when experiencing contact the individual or individuals involved will not act in a normal rational manner. They generally act far too complacently to what is taking place, sometimes completely ignoring the presence of beings or craft in the vicinity. It is only after the experience is over that they will question their own actions. This is one of the reasons why there are very few known photographs or videos of contact. I personally believe that this is something done on purpose by the ETs themselves to prevent the contactee from raising the alarm or attempting to fight back against what is happening. Alien Matrix “On the 8th November 2017 I had gone to bed a little later than normal at about 2.00am as I was doing some last minute work on my computer. I fell asleep almost immediately. During the night I suddenly felt that there was another person in the room. I felt they were creeping to my right close to the outside walls of the room. I got the impression that they were trying to get around to the back of me. I felt threatened and started to look to the left of me to see if I could find something to defend myself with.” “The next thing I remember I was on the floor and this entity was lying down in front of me, with its head to my right, and floating 1 and a half feet off the ground. This may sound strange, but I had the impression that it was a vampire type of creature in human form, like in the old Hammer Horror movies. I was crouched over this entity and in my left hand I had a container with something in it, I couldn’t tell if it was fluid, gas or a powder. My right hand was undoing the lid to this container. At the same time I said to the entity ‘I know that this stuff will kill you’ as if getting ready to pour out its contents.” “Suddenly, with the flick of a finger, the scene around me changed and I found myself in my bedroom, in the same crunched over position, but now I was sitting up in my bed. I then become aware of something below and to the left of me, I remember seeing the big eyes, which startled me and made me jump, then with a flick of the finger it was gone.” “Again, like the flick of a finger, the next thing I knew I was lying down on my bed pulling my eiderdown over me and struggling to retain the memories of this event. I had to work very hard to remember these events as they were fading very quickly.” “When I checked the time on my mobile phone it was approximately 5:15am.” “Three things struck me intensely about my experience and now occupy my daily thoughts. Firstly, what was the fluid in the container that had the power to vanquish this entity? Next is how quickly one scene moved into the next. There was no fading in between each scene, just instant transformation. Lastly is how quickly these scenes were dissipating from my memory after the event, and the amount of effort it took to retain them.” This is a rather bizarre experience. John says that it felt much more vivid than a normal nightmare. One of the scenes he described involved a Grey crouching down near his bed. However there are clearly some dream-like elements to this such as the vampire-like creature, the container filled with an unknown substance and the way in which the scene around him rapidly changed. It is possible that this was nothing more than a vivid dream, or perhaps brought on by a hypnagogic state (similar to sleep paralysis). The visions only lasted for the briefest of moments, the whole experience was over in seconds. Another possibility is this was a contact experience of some kind (or a memory of a previous event), with aspects of it overlaid by his mind or brought on by screen memories employed by the ETs themselves. In many contact cases the beings are known to mask their appearance, so could the vampire-like being that John described actually have been a Grey. One argument which counteracts this suggestion is the fact that in his other previous experiences they had appeared in their actual form, so why appear differently now? There are no clear explanations, it is up to you to decide what took place with this experience. Levitating Grey “I wasn’t expecting another visitation so soon, so I was looking forward to a good night’s sleep having been kept awake the past nights with thoughts about the dream like event I had a couple of nights before. But that’s not how it turned out.” “I was awoken early on the morning of the 10th. I was lying on my right hand side, with my right arm stretched out in front of me. As I opened my eyes I could see the black silhouette of the typical Grey alien shaped head, laying on top of my eiderdown. It looked like it was staring at me. There were no features to be seen, just the blackness of the silhouette. I couldn’t see its body as the eiderdown was blocking my view.” “The entity’s head wasn’t lying on my bed, but hovered about 6 inches above the pillow, it didn’t make a sound or speak to me. I stared at it for about one second when this entity disappeared down my bed. I didn’t feel its weight on my eiderdown, or its movement when moving down my bed.” “I pulled back my eiderdown in an attempt not to let this one go, but it had disappeared. The thing that struck me most about this event was that I wear glasses to see both distant objects and to read. I don’t wear them to bed, yet the outline of the silhouette was sharp and not fuzzy as I would expect. So was this event being played out in my mind?” With this incident happening only two days after the previous one, they certainly appear linked. In this case it appears that it was a Grey, although it was darker in the room than it had been on previous occasions and no facial features were made out this time. The way in which the being was lying down alongside John may sound odd, but I have investigated other cases where exactly the same thing has been reported. It is possible that they during these incidents they are trying to imitate the individual for whatever reason. Once again as John woke up the being quickly departed from the room. This time it appeared to vanish much faster and he did not see it disappear into a vortex of any kind, it was just gone. The fact that the being appeared sharp rather than out-of-focus could mean that this experience did not physically take place, a point which John himself queries in his statement. However it is also possible that the Grey was appearing to him on a meta-physical level so he saw it clearly despite his poor eyesight. White Orb & Body Marking Late evening on the 9th March 2018 John decided to step outside onto the front garden of his house on Holder Road to take a look at the stars. He had recently downloaded a sky chart application on his phone which maps out the star symbols in real time over the sky, and wanted to try it out. It was a still and clear night. After being out there a while he decided to head back inside. He began to walk back down the garden path towards the front door. At this point something compelled him to look again at the sky. When he did so he noticed a white glowing light in the distance to the North West moving in his direction. It was travelling on a level and straight course. The object looked too bright and large to be a satellite, and John with his interest in star gazing has of course seen these on many occasions. He initially assumed it must be the International Space Station. However as it approached he realised it was in the atmosphere rather than out in orbit. It appeared to be at an altitude of about 90 feet. John estimates it was 12-15 feet in diameter, and had crisp clear edges to it. He thought about heading inside to grab his mobile phone to record the object, but decided not to as he was concerned if he did when he returned it would be gone. He continued to watch as the glowing orb of light moved towards him. As it passed directly overhead he looked up at it and for an unknown reason distinctly sensed that this was one of ours – possibly a back engineered craft of some kind. He has no idea why he felt this way. The UFO continued on a straight course towards the South East until it vanished from sight into the distance over Oaklands Recreation Ground. In total John watched the object for about 3-4 minutes. Once it had gone he went back inside and soon decided to go to sleep. In the morning as he got dressed he noticed an unusual marking on his left hand. It was roughly oval shaped and dark pink in colouration. It did not hurt when he touched it. John is familiar with the phenomenon of body markings, so decided to take some photographs of it for later reference: While it is unknown if the marking is anything related to contact, it is interesting that he found it the morning after having the UFO sighting. This could of course just be down to coincidence. John has no recollection of anything else occurring in the night, so it may have just been natural. The marking did not disappear fast, it was present on his hand for a couple of months before eventually fading. So what could the white orb have been? John has confirmed that the object could not have been the ISS because it was on the wrong trajectory to how it would usually appear. It also appeared to be in the atmosphere rather than out in space. I performed a check of the position of the ISS at various times throughout the evening of 9th March 2018 and it is clear that at the time of the incident it was not on a trajectory which caused it to pass over the United Kingdom. Here is an example of one of the checks performed, taken at 11pm: The object was a on straight and level course. While this could suggest it was on a powered flight path, the possibility it was drifting on an air current cannot be entirely ruled out. This means there is a possibility that the object was a bright LED balloon, although John feels it was too large and bright for this to be the explanation. There is therefore the possibility that it was an advanced craft of some kind. Conclusion As you can see John has had some amazing and varied experiences over the years. It is common that repeat contactees witness UFOs on multiple occasions. It is also common for them to mention both psychic abilities and other paranormal activity in their vicinity. These are of course all aspects of this detailed case. John remains fascinated by the UFO subject. This fascination has of course been brought on by what has personally happened to him over the years. He still seeks answers to what has happened, as do many other contactees around the world. This report preserves the details of his incredible experiences for others to read about and learn from going forward, and I am very proud to be able to share these details with you. After all how many people do you know that have had a UFO experience?” “Despite the confusion and loneliness these experiences dumped on me, I can confirm that if I had to go through it all again I would in a heartbeat. Why? Because my experiences and life direction is very unique to me. Birmingham UFO Group Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 16/09/2010 This report covers a fascinating daylight sighting of what was clearly a Flying Triangle craft, which appeared to have even directly interacted with people in close proximity to the witness. The same craft was apparently also seen soon afterwards by two police officers who reported their sighting, but this is the first time that this particular sighting has been documented. Sighting Details The incident took place on a Sunday in late summer 2000. Anthony (name changed for privacy reasons) was out with his family in his parents car. He was sitting on the back seat with his wife and child, his mother was in the passenger seat and his dad was driving. The family were on their way back home and were driving through Stafford. It was early evening, and the sun was still shining brightly. It had been a hot sunny day, and the weather was clear and still with very little cloud in the sky. They were on Riverway in the centre of Stafford and pulled up to some lights at a crossroads with Weston Road. There were a few other cars around, but as it was a Sunday afternoon it was quite quiet. Anthony noticed out of his peripheral vision to his left a glinting white light in the sky. He looked around in the direction of the light. It was only there for a second and then it was gone again. A moment later the light returned but appeared to be a little closer this time. Once again it went off. It appeared a third time and was even closer, but still quite a way off to the West of his location. This time the white light remained on. Then a second light came on below it and to the right. Next an orange/red coloured light appeared to the left of the lower right one. This looked less intensely bright than the other lights. Another white light appeared to the left of the red/orange light. At this moment, the space in between the lights was filled to reveal a black triangular shaped object. It was as if it had been invisible and had now “decloaked”. The object had a central white light on the top, a white light on the underside at each of the three corners and what looked like a larger red/orange coloured light in the centre of the underside. The body of the UFO was jet black in colour and was not reflecting sunlight. No other markings could be made out. It looked about 25 feet wide by 15 feet in height. It was roughly 150 feet in the air and Anthony believed it to be about half a mile from his location. Anthony was immediately convinced he was looking at an extraterrestrial craft. He knew it was different to any conventional aircraft and he was astounded by how it had suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Straight away he informed everyone else in the car about the craft and pointed it out to them. But for some reason none of them could see it, even though it was quite obvious against the clear sky. They were all staring blankly out of the windows, and looked almost like they had been switched off. He thought about taking a photograph of the craft and realised his camera was in the glove box. He asked his mum to pass him the camera but at this moment something strange began to occur. It was like time was moving in slow motion. His mother refused to hand him the camera. Her voice sounded slurred like a slowed down tape. He leaned forward past her to grab the camera himself, and she raised her hands to block him. She seemed determined not to let him have the camera, and Anthony could not understand why. He was excited at what he was seeing but at the same time angry and frustrated that his mother would not let him have the camera. This seemed to go on for 3-4 minutes, but Anthony feels that it was actually shorter than this. After all they were only at a red light waiting for it to go green. His dad is a careful driver, but as soon as the lights changed he stepped on the pedal and wheelspun away from the lights as fast as he could. He drove the car onward onto Corporation Street. Anthony shouted at him to stop the car and let him out so he could continue to watch the UFO, but he refused and continued driving at a fast speed. It was like he wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible. A moment later the craft became obscured behind some buildings and Anthony did not see it again. The family drove back to their home, and when they arrived Anthony furiously asked them why they had done what they did. Everyone else in the car had completely forgotten about the incident. The last thing they remembered was Anthony mentioning the craft and trying to point it out to them. It was like their memories of the experience had been removed. Anthony on the other hand could clearly remember everything which took place. His mother could not remember stopping him from grabbing the camera, and his dad would not give a proper reason for why he had not let Anthony out of the car. The Police Sighting A couple of weeks after the sighting, the family received a copy of the local Stafford news letter through the door. In it was an article which mentioned that two police officers had seen a black triangular shaped UFO hovering over the Staffordshire Police HQ at Baswich House, Weeping Cross, Stafford, 1.5 miles away from where Anthony’s sighting had occurred. The article stated that the police had contacted the Ministry Of Defence and that they had confirmed it had been detected on radar and had been a real object. Unfortunately I have been unable to locate this article yet online, and Anthony did not keep it. It is great when other sightings of the same UFO take place as this tends to confirm it as a real solid object. With this case it is even more impressive in that the witnesses were police officers and the MOD actually confirmed the object was there. It was almost certainly the same craft that Anthony had seen, although he is not sure if this second incident took place on the same day as his own sighting or not. Sighting Analysis This is a very impressive sighting of what appears to have been a genuine Flying Triangle. This type of craft has been seen many times before all over the world, especially in the last couple of decades. They are sometimes massive in size and have been seen to perform incredible manoeuvres at extremely fast speeds. The way in which Anthony saw the craft appear from thin air is very impressive. It tends to suggest that it had some kind of cloaking device, and was uncloaking for some reason, or perhaps it was even coming through from another dimension into our own. It was a clear sky so it could not have simply appeared from behind a cloud or from behind another object. What took place next clearly seems to suggest that either the craft or its occupants were directly interacting with the other people in the car – Anthony’s parents, wife and child. It seems plausible that it could have been aware that it was being observed by Anthony, and that he intended to take a photograph of it. It then appeared to place everyone around Anthony under some kind of control. This was verified not only by what took place, but by the fact that they could not remember what had happened afterwards. This was a normal drive home in daylight hours, so I feel it is out of the question that they all dropped off to sleep or were hallucinating. The second sighting by the police also helps confirm that the object was real and in the area at the time. Contactees have often reported that the ETs have the ability to shut people down temporarily, and also often remove memories of the event. Some believe that they have the ability to distort time in some way. All of these things seem to have been demonstrated throughout this incident, again pointing towards interaction between the craft and Anthony’s family. I do not feel there is currently any evidence to suggest that any further contact took place. Due to the time of day the object was seen, I do wonder if there were any other witnesses to the craft who have yet to come forward. If you are reading this and also saw it, please get in touch.
