Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 15/10/2012 Last Updated: 20/04/2023 For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used Sighting Details It was 5.20 pm on the evening of a day in late October 1978. "Simon" and his wife at the time, "Chloe", were travelling home from Stafford after a day at work. They were driving along Eccleshall Road and had just passed through the village of Great Bridgeford. Immediately following the village was a stretch of road lined with trees and with farmer’s fields either side of it. Suddenly ahead of them off to the right of the road they saw a dark disc-shaped object. It appeared to be between 300-350 feet in the air, and was moving very slowly in a a South Westerly direction. At first they assumed it must be a helicopter but then they realised that it had no lights on. Photograph on the stretch of Eccleshall Road where the UFO was first sighted: The witnesses began to drive closer to the object. As they got nearer they realised that it was a very dark pewter colour, and had no visible markings on it or protrusions of any kind. It was roughly 30 feet in diameter, and was only moving at around 10-15  mph. It passed across the road in front of them at an angle of around 45 degrees. Despite the fact that there were other drivers on the road, nobody else seemed to have noticed the object, or did but did not bother stopping. Simon pulled up the car in an open gateway. Aerial map showing the location where the UFO was first spotted (A) and the gateway where the witnesses parked (B): As they got out of the car to continue watching it, the disc suddenly stopped moving. It hung in the air completely silently. Then, without warning, a ring of segmented lights around the circumference of the base of the object appeared. The lights were multi-coloured and included red, green, blue and yellow, possibly other colours. They were flashing on and off in sequence giving the appearance of rotation. Simon does not believe the UFO itself was rotating. After about 15 seconds the UFO started moving again on the same course and at the same speed as before. They continued to watch it until it went out of sight. Simon and his wife continued to watch the object for several minutes until it had gone out of sight. They were both amazed at what they had just seen, and also both felt like the UFO had stopped on their behalf so that they could get a good look at it. Photograph from the gateway in the direction the UFO moved off in: When they got back home, Simon immediately contacted their friend Tony who used to work for BUFORA. They were aware that he had an interest in the subject. They let him know about the sighting and immediately logged it. To Simon’s and my knowledge the report that was written up does not exist on-line anywhere, which is why I have decided to investigate this case. Later on Simon was informed by his brother-in-law that there had been another UFO sighting on the same evening. Someone in Pershaw had seen a very low bright red light at around 6.45 pm, 1 hour and 25 minutes after Simon and Chloe’s sighting. Pershaw is only several miles away from Great Bridgeford. Perhaps this was another sighting of the same object at a greater distance. Sighting Analysis This is a fascinating close encounter with what could well have been a genuine disc-shaped craft of extra-terrestrial origin. The fact that the object was moving on a steady course, then came to a halt in the sky just as the witnesses got out of their car, before continuing on its way, suggests that it was both under direct control and actually observing Simon and Chloe. It was clearly not a conventional aircraft of any kind, and was too large to have been a remote controlled model. The disc shape of the object and the rotating multi-coloured lights which suddenly appeared on it mean it was very unlikely to be a large inflatable object such as a blimp. We can only speculate as to the reason for these lights. It is interesting that they started while the witnesses were looking up at the object. This may suggest that they were putting on some kind of display on purpose. Or perhaps this was merely coincidence, and the lights served some other function. I have investigated other cases where disc-shaped craft with revolving lights around the rim have been observed, including abduction cases. Other than the sudden appearance of the lights, there is no evidence that the witnesses had any direct interaction with the craft or its occupants on this occasion. Due to the striking lighting configuration on the UFO, it is possible that there may have been other witnesses elsewhere who are yet to come forward. This is not the only UFO sighting that Simon has experienced. In 2012 he saw what may have been a Flying Triangle craft while on route to Fradley. Click here to go to the report on this incident. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 07/05/2023 Last Updated: 10/05/2023 Note: For privacy reasons precise location details have been omitted In late April 2023 elderly gentleman Stephen was asking me some questions about a particular case I’d previously investigated. During our discussion he informed me of a UFO sighting he and his partner Christine had both experienced on the Queens Diamond Jubilee in 2022. I arranged a phone call to go over what took place. Sighting Details 2022 was an important year for the United Kingdom, with Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. As part of the celebrations the RAF’s Battle Of Britain Memorial flight (BBMF) appeared at numerous airshows around the country. The celebrations culminated in a four day bank holiday weekend from 3rd to 6th June. I was informed by the witnesses that around this time the Lancaster flew over Bewdley (probably on it’s way to/from the Midlands Air Festival Display on 3rd and 4th June). However I have checked on Flight Radar 24 around 2pm on 3rd and 4th June and there are no tracks for the Lancaster. This either means that Stephen has the date/time wrong or the Lancaster Bomber is not tracked on Flight Radar 24. I have reached out to the BBMF via E-Mail in an attempt to confirm when it flew over Bewdley. According to Stephen, when it was due to fly over, he and Christine stepped outside the front of their house with a Nikon camera to get a few shots of it. There was nobody else out on the street at the time. It was a very pleasant, clear and still day with only light cloud cover. They both began to look around the sky to see if they could spot the approaching plane. Suddenly Christine noticed an unusual high altitude object coming towards them from the North North West. It was initially at an elevation of 45 degrees and appeared to be around 30000 feet up. The object was a silvery colour and was reflecting the sunlight. However it did not look at all like a high altitude aircraft. It was a circular shape, giving the impression of a flattened disc rather than a sphere. No wings, tail or contrail were visible, and no sound could be heard (although it was of course very high up). Stephen estimated the object was moving at several hundred miles per hour, similar to an aircraft’s speed. If it was at the height it appeared to be he thinks it was about 100 feet across. However he was certain it was not a normal aircraft. He was fascinated by the object, so much so that he completely forgot to lift his camera and attempt to photograph it. He and Christine watched it approach and pass overhead. The object then entered (or was lost from view behind) a small cloud. They waited and sure enough it re-appeared out of the other side. About ten seconds after it had emerged from the cloud it suddenly vanished without trace! They were both amazed, as there were hardly any other clouds in the sky so there was nothing it could have been hidden behind, it was just gone. In total they had watched it for about 2 minutes. Stephen informed me that the fly over of the Lancaster paled into insignificance in relation to the sighting they had just had. He did not even bother taking any photographs of it, they were too busy discussing what had been witnessed! Later in the day they informed one of their neighbours about what they had seen. Christine’s Testimony While chatting with Stephen on the phone I asked if Christine could provide a quick statement on what she remembered seeing. Here is what she said about the incident. "We were basically wandering round the road looking up. We saw this thing appear coming towards us. I asked "Is that a UFO?" It went through a cloud, came out of the other side, carried on ten seconds and then suddenly disappeared. It looked like a silvery blob, roundish shape, certainly not an aeroplane, no wings or a contrail." Sighting Analysis Despite the fact this was a high altitude sighting, and the fact that the object did not perform any advanced manoeuvres, it is still an interesting incident due to a number of other aspects. There are a number of factors pointing away from it being a normal aeroplane/helicopter. At high altitude aircraft can lose their definition, and even sometimes be at such a height that no wings or tail can be made out. However the general shape of them can still usually be seen, for example appearing as a thin white line. However Stephen says he regularly sees aircraft flying overhead coming from RAF Cosford to the North. So he is very familiar with how high altitude aircraft appear. He is certain that this object truly was circular in shape. At the date/time that the witnesses believe the incident took place there were no tracked aircraft (The Lancaster or otherwise), however as previously mentioned it is possible the date/time is different to what was believed. 360 Radar confirms that the area to the North of Bewdley falls within the edge of controlled airspace, lowering the chances of it being an untracked aircraft: Another possibility is that it was an inflatable of some kind, such as a weather balloon. However Stephen believes it was moving too fast for this to be the explanation. It appeared to be on a controlled flight path, although when inflatables are caught in air currents they can travel on a straight line across the sky. That said, it is hard to accurately judge an object's height and therefore speed or size accurately. One aspect that might point away from either of these explanations is that the object suddenly vanished in a clear sky. I asked Stephen whether he thought that it could have been reflecting sunlight, but then moved to an angle where it was no longer doing so, giving the impression that it had disappeared. He does not believe that this would explain what they saw, he says the object was clear enough in the sky to make out the shape and not just a glinting light. Nor does he believe that it merely vanished into the distance. If the object really did suddenly disappear, this of course rules out mundane explanations such as planes or balloons. I have investigated numerous cases where UFOs have been seen to suddenly appear or vanish in a clear sky, tending to support the idea that they either possess advanced stealth technology, or perhaps the ability to move into another dimension at will. Is this what was witnessed by Stephen and Christine? As with many sightings on record it is hard to say for sure, especially without supporting photographic or video evidence. It is a shame that Stephen did not think to try photographing it at the time, although due to the height of the object it is likely it would not have come out particularly well anyway. It’s still good to get this incident down on record, and as many people were no doubt looking up at the sky that day, there may well be other witnesses who have yet to come forward. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: James Brodie Release Date: 28/04/2023 As you will know as an investigator, I am always looking for new sources of information for case studies. Recently I had reached out on social media as I had wanted to further investigate specifically Mantid contactee experiences. I had a number of people reach out to me, but Persephone stood out as someone who came across as genuine and very personable. What followed was a couple of weeks of conversation where I asked some general questions, and each time Persephone was able to give a lot of detail which really stood out from the rest. Persephone agreed to talk about her initial experiences which forms the basis of this case study. This specific case study starts in September 1997 when Persephone was 9 years old. There are some question marks regarding the specific date but given her age at the time that is completely understandable. Persephone resides in Bucks County Pennsylvania USA. It is a mainly suburban area with large houses with wooded areas located close to the farmland. It was a child friendly area with a number of younger families located in the area so you would often hear the sound of children playing in the area. One piece of information worth mentioning is that the area is rich in the history of the civil and revolutionary war with battlegrounds within the area. Persephone described the area that she lived in as an outer circle connected to a main road with a cul-de-sac. Near this area there were 2 roads that had an overgrown wooded area between them. Persephone described that the wooded area had a weird vibe to it that had been remarked on by others who lived in the area, but no other description was given. Photographs of the road Persephone used to live on: As Persephone was at school at the time, the bus driver would typically drop her off close to her home but on this occasion the bus driver dropped her off at the entrance to her neighbourhood which she remembers thinking was unusual at the time. She remembers the sky being very blue with some cloud cover, but otherwise a warm beautiful day. This time of year, was renowned for being very warm but typically as you would approach October, the temperatures would start to drop off. Persephone remembers as she entered the wooded area it was very still. Normally you would expect to hear the sounds of birds and local wildlife, with the sounds of families audible, but there was no sound at all. The time was around 3pm in the afternoon. She looked up at the sky and she suddenly had what she described as a very heavy feeling. She felt she was being followed by something. Persephone is who very interested in British and Irish Folklore, in her mind thought she was being chased by “the Unseelie Court”. It was a 2 min run to her door and she began to run. Crucially not looking behind her because she felt that it if you look behind, it gives power to that which is chasing you. As she started running, she felt there was a jump in time, because suddenly from the point of running she had reached her front door. She started frantically banging the front door but there was no one answering. She continued to bang and very distressed. She said she had a sense of defeat and turned around and sat on the step. When she looked out to the wooded area, she described a red mist or glow from the trees, and she said that she heard what she described as sounds from a battlefield. Suddenly the door opened, and it was her mum. Her mum asked where she had been as she was 45 minutes late. There were also no physical signs of distress on her face. Her mum brought her in as if nothing happened and that was the end of it. A brief description of the family for reference. Her Mother was a devout Catholic and would often refer to it for comfort. Her father was an engineer for nuclear power plants and built them all over the world and was an of the moment type of person who would give short shrift to anything out of the ordinary. Persephone would later describe her house as active which her mum did confirm, but this is something that will be potentially picked up in later conversation. This is where the case study would have ended if it hadn’t had been for February 2023. Persephone heard a podcast from someone who it turns out had had a similar experience and it started to trigger memories of her past experiences. She searched the MUFON therapist list which gave her a contact and for her to follow up with therapy sessions. She was told to start writing details as and when they came to her which started the process of unlocking additional memories. She started to have regression sessions with Fiona Harris who specialises in past life and quantum regression. Part of the therapy process focuses on the inner child and making peace with it. Often in the form of a gift that you give your younger self. In this case her younger self gave her a present in the form of a blue ball floating. This was unusual and remarked as such, but this was the key to unlocking her memories, and through continued regression she has been able to give a very detailed account as to what happened in that 45 min gap. Furthermore, Persephone then told me that there was an incident prior to the time slip and so we went back to that even before revisiting the initial time gap. In this prior event, she estimated that it was potentially a couple of days or weeks prior to the 45 min time slip. She described herself as being on swing by herself at school. She had said that at this time she was being bullied at school (due to, amongst other things, having a stigmatism in her eyes, so she was having to wear very thick corrective glasses) and so was often separate from the children, but there would always be other children and chaperones nearby. She said in this instance she was by herself but suddenly she was aware that there were no other children or chaperones nearby. She was singing to herself and was a fan of Phantom of the Opera and as a gifted child, she had memorised and could sing most of the verses. She was singing when suddenly she became aware that there were people near her. She said she got an impression that there was something behind a nearby building where they had come from, but she couldn’t explain any more than that. A man walked towards her, and she immediately got the impression that he was a teacher. He had what she thought were children standing behind him. However, she couldn’t focus on them as she felt that she was being compelled to focus on the man. She described him as being around 6ft 2” with blonde hair, incandescent blue eyes that were almost illuminous. He was wearing a navy or royal blue jumpsuit with no physical signs of zips or buttons; Persephone described him as if the suit was almost moulded to his body. He had gold letting near his lapel which she described as almost being like a name tag, although it appeared to be made up of geometric symbols that she couldn’t read although one looked like an upside-down triangle. He was pale, slender and had elegant hands. Persephone couldn’t remember anything about his feet, but he wore a silver belt that she had the impression that it did ‘something’. She says she can’t remember him opening his mouth to speak but she could clearly hear his voice. Interestingly she noticed that he spoke with what we would describe as a Queens English British Accent, like that of a British news reader. The being asked her what she was singing. She responded it was Phantom of the Opera and she mentioned the book was better, but she was sad she didn’t end up with Erik (the antagonist of the opera), and he said, “I sing too when I’m lonely.” He went on to say, “That strikes me as being lonely and sad, would you like me to be your friend?”. She said yes, but never felt threatened or scared. She was aware of stranger danger, but she had a feeling that she already knew him. He asked, “Do you want me to take you away from here? Didn’t you want to be an Astronaut when you were younger?” Persephone didn’t question how he knew this, but she hesitated. She responded by saying her Mum would be mad if she skipped school. She said the whole time he was ‘talking to her’ he was leaning down on his knees so that he would have a non-threatening posture. When she said no, he said “Ok, I will come for you another day”. She can’t remember them leaving, or walking away, they literally disappeared, and she can remember something silver behind a building, a flash and then they were gone. Once it was gone; it was as if she realised something weird was going on. She suddenly wanted to be with the other kids. This whole conversation was unlocked as part of the regression session. This account is incredibly interesting. I was impressed with the attention to detail that Persephone was able to offer, but critically she is also consistent in the account that she gives. This is the precursor to the main event which is regarding the events within the time slip. Again, this was unlocked through regression. Persephone is in the wooded area and has begun to run home, she says suddenly she feels paralysed and that she is being taken up into the air. She described the perspective as being at the top of a rollercoaster she as you are coming over the edge looking down at the big drop. There was no feeling of inertia, or her heart was in her chest, it was just that she was up in the air and then everything went black. When she wakes up, she says that she is a room that her child mind calls "The Mezzanine". She says she doesn’t know why she want to refer to it by that name, but it fits. She describes as if she is in a massive office building. She described the office as if you were in the lobby and you looked upwards, you would see multiple levels of office floors either side. She stated that there were at least five floors that she could see, but there may have been more. She remembers it being a huge building to her, but that may have potentially been from a child’s perspective. Persephone described that the building was very busy, and she emphasised that everyone there had a function of some sort. It was a work that very specific that suits the situation. Everyone that was there had a purpose or specific task that they were there to do. The first thing she realises is that she lying completely naked on the table, it is like a doctors light which is above her head almost blinding her and she can’t really see past the light. She is aware that there are smaller grey beings, that aren’t children, and recognised, that these may have been the ‘children’ she had seen in the previous encounter. They were grey big black almond eyes, barely any nose features or mouth. She described them as almost mini medical assistances as they appeared to be performing tasks in the periphery. Her body is almost completely paralysed but she moves her head slightly to look around and notices there is a man completely naked in his fourties, unconscious in a bed close to her, but she looks away out of embarrassment as you would expect a child to. She also feels very groggy, almost out of it. There are areas of the room she can’t see which are blocked off by partitions. From the side of the room which she can’t really see from the light, a creature walks up to her. Originally, she had described him as an astronaut (The classic white suited, mirror helmet NASA image of an astronaut). For years as she had flashbacks and then later as her memories became unlocked, she still visualised him as a man in an astronaut suit. It wasn’t until she went through regression that that original image was replaced by an image of a dark coloured Mantid. She said it wasn’t quite a full Mantis in shape, but that would be the closest approximation to what she had seen. That her younger mind her protected her from an image that had been quite traumatic at the time. Persephone described that every time she has encountered him, he has been brusk, forthright, with no external emotions visible. Always straight to the point with possibly the worst bedside manner. She said that she felt as if she was waking up and he produced a metal instrument which created a pain towards the top of her nose. Persephone would go on to say she wasn’t sure if the instrument was put physically up her nose, but rather in the vicinity of it. She would go on to say this has caused later medical complications with breathing, and that she also developed a phobia around the procedure the Egyptians used to extract the brain out of the nose before the process of mummification. All things considered that would seem to be a sensible aversion given the circumstances. Persephone stated she started to feel a sense of panic raise through her, and she heard the Mantis voice say stay still as this is almost over. There was no discernible accent. One of the small beings reached under her ear, where this currently a mole, (which she showed me on camera) and nodded at the Mantis being who responded that they were done. She was rolled off and shuffled away by the smaller Grey beings. She was taken to another area of the room where they had her clothes. They started to put her clothes back on, but couldn’t work out how to do her stockings, so she had to do that herself. She was scared and freaked out but at the same time she was trying to process what was happening to her. The only things they didn’t give back to her were her shoes, backpack and blazer before moving her out of “The Mezzanine”. They took her to a long walkway where you had all the floors ascending either side, which took her into a central area which had loads of busy beings around her doing their function. She is taken up to a being who is 6 ft 2” wearing a black moulded suit which conforms to his body. He looks very important and is wearing black boots and possibly a highly collared robe of some kind. He had the appearance of someone who is incredibly important and gave her the feeling as such. He had short black hair that was cropped and wore black eyeliner which at the time to a self-proclaimed sheltered child seemed very funny. In follow-on notes that Persephone sent me, she felt that it was the same person from the prior incident and that he had in some way chosen a form that she would find attractive as she got older. She would go on to say that that look or type, would become the go to look as she got older though it was not one, she would’ve thought of as a 9 year old raised in a conservative environment. When she saw his face, it seemed that he was very annoyed. At the time she thought he was annoyed with her, but in hindsight she realised that the being was annoyed with the Mantis being. She went on to call the Mantid ‘The Mentor’ more as a nickname rather than anything more specific. The being said “My name is Demitrius, come with me”. He took her by the arm and took her down the hallway. Persephone begins to freak out and wants to be taken home. Demitrius is speaking to her through his mind, and she realises she can respond in the same way which causes her to become more alarmed. He takes her into a sunken room which has 2 steps down, similar to the American style ranch houses or a sunken room. The floor is soft and padded. There is a large bay window, but it has some sort of metallic shutter which is down, so you can’t look out. On the floor there are 5 beings that look like the other Greys, but they don’t appear to have a face with any discernible features. This really freaks Persephone out. They are sitting in a circle with one empty space. She later said she had the impression they were machines or there as assistants but not actual beings. In between them floating in the air is what Persephone describes as the metal bits of a Kinetic Sculpture. If you are of a certain age, you will recognise this as a popular toy, where you pressed an object against the metal pins, and it would leave an imprint of that object. She went on to describe the object as blue when it came together and would form a sphere, but up to that point it would appear as metallic pieces floating in mid-air prior to having something imprinted onto it. Persephone suggested that the metal didn’t want to form a sphere, but that the group of 5 were having to force it to come together as a sphere. All the five moved as one and as the object was moving around, they would all look at it. Then one of them would force it to become a sphere before moving on to the next being. In each case the being would look to their peer before passing the object, which went back into the centre retaining its original form. Persephone describes herself as being upset wanting to home, but Demitrius says "Stop, pay attention", and as soon as she looked at his face, she felt those feelings of fear leave her body. So she was now focusing. She then describes it as if Demitrius downloads a set of instructions into her head. He tried to explain how the game worked but it was in a block of information that Persephone couldn’t decode. It was a series of pictures in her head whilst at the same time looking at the task was ongoing. She simply couldn’t understand and was confused. Demitrius became frustrated. In follow-on notes, Persephone felt it was very important to add the dialogue she had forgotten during the interview but has in her notes from the regression: He said she had done it before. She said she didn’t understand. He called her Guenevere, to which she protested that wasn’t her name although interestingly she chose it as a confirmation name a few years later. He then seemed almost pleading and said “You don’t know your potential. You don’t remember who you are.” A Grey being approximately 5 ft 5” appeared that she realised had been walking alongside them the whole time. She identified her as being female. The being reaches out to touch Demitrius’s arm and telepathically says the word “Axillia.” (Persephone has no idea what this word means or the context for it but guessed it may be a title or something). From which he steps back and sighs. Persephone felt the sense that the grey being had a matronly vibe to her and she explained how to play the game. She had a kind motherly feeling to her, and however it was that she explained it to her, she then understood what she had to do. (Persephone can’t remember any words being exchanged). Persephone sat down in the empty space in the circle. She understood that she had to telekinetically keep the object together as a sphere but then you have to pass it on to the next person. To do that, you have to give a telepathic knock to let them know you’re handing it over and you must wait for them to fully take it so that the object doesn’t fall apart. She said that the object shattered to the floor in a thousand pieces on multiple occasions as she tried to get the hang of the exercise. Every time that would happen, the grey women would reform the object and start the exercise again. The objective was simply to form the object and hand it over with a telepathic knock and do it as fluidly as the faceless beings in the room, and finally Persephone would get the hang of it. At one point Persephone felt a sense of pride from behind her and looked over at Demitrius and saw that he appeared to have some sort of smile on his face. Persephone felt a preadolescent attraction to Demitrius momentarily as she was receiving praise and attention. The second her heart rate changes, Demitrius’s attention snaps and focuses on her. She goes on to explain that maybe for a moment she caught him in a vulnerable state of something she wasn’t supposed to catch. She gauges two responses. The first one is Demitrius thinking out loud that that is not his function - she said he seemed to be saying this to someone else. The second was that people - or humans - don’t look at him like that. Then suddenly that momentary emotion went blank. She felt she had done something wrong and then Demitrius responds in a low calculating voice, “Do you find me attractive?” The sphere behind her falls apart in the background as she loses control of it, feeling a little embarrassed. She responded yes, although she felt it was a weird question to ask coming from an adult. He responded by saying “Someday I will be something more to you, but for now I am just your friend”. After he said that Persephone said she had a feeling of relief. Persephone then explains there is blank piece of memory before she describes being taken to a flight deck of sorts. It is very dark which she thought was strange as you expect it to be illuminated with instrumentation. There was a chair in front of her with long arms which she describes as being of glass or some form of crystal that came around as almost two half-moons. On the surface of the arm were some golden glyphs which she couldn’t understand. They were either embossed or floating on top of the arms. The chair itself looked like a surprisingly normal black leather chair which Persephone found amusing as she expected it to look grander. Demitrius was explaining that the second glyph on the right was the emergency stop button which you have to remember for when you are flying. Persephone remarked that she couldn’t ever fly because of her astigmatism, which Demitrius found very amusing and was laughing out loud whilst holding onto the chair. She asked why he found that funny and he said you didn’t have to worry about your eyesight as that isn’t how you fly. He was about to explain what that meant when the door behind them opened and the Mantid appeared (The Mentor). The Mentor asked what was Demitrius doing? Demitrius responded that he was doing what he was asked to do by the Mantid and the Mentor said he was wasting time and she had been here for far too long. He walks up with a syringe which appeared to have a yellow solution in it. Persephone began to panic and Demitrius shushed her, captured her gaze with his and said, “It’ll all be right as rain, yeah?” The Mantid being shoots the syringe into her neck and she blacks out. The next thing she wakes up, running home, without any knowledge as to what has happened. From reviewing the experience, the only thing she couldn’t explain was the battlefield noises, and one possible solution for this, is that as part of the contactee experience, she may have psychically linked to her surroundings and there may have been a time slip connecting to previous battles on the site. After the discussion of the experience, Persephone sent me some additional thoughts. Some of those thoughts conclude that she received downloads of information that Demitrius is a teacher of thoughts, designed to teach psychic ability, but that the Mentor was his boss even though Demitrius was a more powerful being. She also had additional thoughts about the power dynamic and that maybe the Mantid was the creator in this environment with the other beings being subservient. Persephone also went on to state that Demitrius smells of cinnamon and in later exchanges there is often a lasting smell of cinnamon after an experience. Conclusion The first thing that becomes obvious very quickly is that Persephone comes across as an intelligent and sincere individual. There was an event which triggered her to look more closely into her experiences. There are different trains of thought regarding regression as there is an argument that often false memories can be implanted or unintentionally introduced. I looked into Fiona Harris and she is a respected individual in this field. Given her provenance within the contactee experiencer field it is highly unlikely that she would risk doing anything that put her career at risk. Furthermore, there is a level of detail which elevates this above the standard experience. Persephone is open and consistent in recalling her experience. There is no attempt to make any form of financial gain from the experience. Having recently worked with other contactees, there are elements which have been recalled that is not out in the public domain. There is so much going on here that I have only scratched the surface and hopefully I will be able to discuss more. I find the dynamic between the species incredibly interesting and that the Mantid may be the creator in this scenario. I believe that Persephone has natural ability and that may have attracted the ETs to make contact to see whether that skill could be tuned. This is very much an ongoing case, but I have been amazed at the level of detail and the plausibility that comes from the report. Given the opportunity I hope I can continue to work with Persephone. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 14/04/2023 Introduction Bill (William) Whitlock is an 84 year old gentleman from Birmingham. He regularly attends our monthly meetings in Oldbury, and it was during one of these meetings that I learnt about a fascinating UFO sighting he experienced while on active national service back in 1962 when he was 24 years old. At a later meeting I arranged to interview Bill alongside his daughter. The Malayan Emergency (Anti-British National Liberation War) was a guerrilla war fought in British Malaya, a set of states in the Malay Peninsula and island of Singapore that were brought under British law in the late 18th to mid-20th century. The war began in 1948, and was between communist pro-independence fighters of the Malayan National Liberation Army (MNLA) and the military forces of the Federation of Malaya, British Empire and Commonwealth. The MNLA fought for independendce for Malaya from the British Empire. After the war officially came to an end in 1960, numerous British troops remained in the area to maintain peace, and Bill was part of one of these troops. Below is a photograph of a case containing the medals which Bill received (The second row - the medals in the first row were recieved by his father who also served in the armed forces): The title at the top of the frame indicates his identification number, and PTE stands for the position he held, Private. Below this is his name, William H. Whitlock. C Coy is the name of the troop he was part of, and below this is his regiment name, the Sherwood Foresters. The two medals Bill received were the Malaysian General Service Medal, and the Malaysian Pingat Jasa, which was given to him by the Malaysian Government. Sadly his original medals were stolen, the two shown in the photograph are replacements which had to be specially ordered. Sighting Details In the summer of 1962 Bill's regiment was stationed at the Far East Training Centre on the Northern edge of Singapore, near to Johor Strait which separates the island from Malaya. They were at the centre for jungle training. The centre was situated on a hill giving a stunning view of Malaya to the North. One evening Bill and his regiment (up to 20 soldiers) were sitting outside in a line on the hillside after a long day of training, facing towards Malaya. Suddenly a silver metallic domed-disc shaped object flew right overhead, brightly reflecting the sunlight! It was immediately noticed by some of the soldiers, who then pointed it out to the others. The object was at an altitude of approximately 1000 feet, and appeared to be quite large in size. Bill estimates it was about 250 feet across, similar to the length of a large commercial airliner. It began to move away from them, first heading over the Johor Strait and then out over the Malayan jungle. It was travelling on a straight and level course at approximately 150-200 mph, and certainly appeared to be under direct control. There was no detectable sound coming from it. Bill and his regiment watched the UFO move away into the distance for about 10 minutes. They were fascinated by it, and as they watched it they discussed what it could be. After the sighting was over, the officers of the regiment actually contacted other nearby camps to inquire as to whether it was anything that had been sent up by them. To Bill's knowledge, none of the other regiment's contacted were able to explain what had been observed. Sighting Analysis This is an incredible sighting of what appears to have been a genuine domed-disc shaped craft. It certainly appears to have been a solid silver-coloured object, so unusual atmospheric phenomena such as lenticular clouds or earth lights can be discounted. Due to their military background, Bill and the many other witnesses would have been very familiar with various types of aircraft in the area, both military and civilian. It certainly impressed the officers of the regiment enough to ring up other nearby camps to confirm nothing unusual had been launched, so it was clearly something out of the ordinary. I asked Bill if it could have been a large inflatable of some kind, but he says that the path it was on was too straight, there was no noticeable drift to it at all. The shape of the object does not fit with it being a blimp, and it was moving too quickly for a drifting object. Given it's appearance and movement, it seems likely that this was an advanced craft, possibly of extra-terrestrial origin. I have investigated many other cases where craft of this appearance have been witnessed, it is of course very much the "classic" flying saucer! It is great that it was witnessed by not just Bill, but also the rest of his regiment. As the UFO disappeared into the distance over the jungle, there is the possibility that it was also witnessed by others from different vantage points. Unfortunately Bill has not kept in touch with any of his old regiment. Searching for the incident online has not come back with anything, so at present I am unable to speak with any of the other witnesses, but welcome the opportunity should it arise. The sighting made a lasting impression on Bill, and decades on he still clearly remembers what he and his regiment witnessed. His genuine excitement in sharing the details with me was wonderful to see. I am extremely grateful that he has come forward to share this information and get this stunning sighting down on record. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 30/03/2023 Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used In early March 2023 I was contacted by phone by a man from Belbroughton named “Bill” who had recently had a stunning sighting of a triangular shaped UFO which flew over his house. I got the word out on Facebook but nobody else reported seeing the object (at least so far). This report documents the sighting in depth. Sighting Details Bill lives on Yew Tree Avenue, on the outskirts of the Clent Hills. On the evening of Wednesday 1st March 2023 he was sitting in the living room watching TV with his carer and ex-partner “Natalie”. It was around 8 pm and fully dark outside. The front window curtains of the room were not drawn, providing a view of the sky to the North North East over the tall hedgerow on the opposite side of the road. He happened to glance out of the window and immediately noticed several white lights in a triangular formation moving towards the property. He listened but was amazed to hear no sound. He asked Natalie “What’s that over there?” She looked out of the window too and upon seeing the lights simply replied “I don’t know.” Bill replied “I’ve got to see!” and leapt up out his chair. As he headed to the front door, and realising the lights might be something unusual, he called out to Natalie asking her to go and grab his phone, which unfortunately was in the kitchen at the time. He then opened the door and headed outside onto the drive. He could now see the object more clearly. It was a clearly defined equilateral triangle with a brightly glowing orange light at each corner. It was a clear evening, and the main body of the object could be seen silhouetted against the sky beyond. The UFO appeared to be no higher up than 1000 feet, and about the size of a fighter jet (approximately 50 feet across). It was moving no faster than 150 knots (172 mph), about the speed that a helicopter would fly at. As it got closer Bill began to hear a strange electrical crackling sound clearly coming from the object. The main body of the object looked reflective black in colour, with no visible markings or windows. The orange lights were not quite at each corner point but in a little bit on the underside of the object. Bill observed it approach for about 30 seconds. He wasn’t frightened of it, but was instead fascinated and mesmerised. As it passed nearly overhead he noticed that the base of the object appeared to be split into criss-cross sections. There was also a strange shimmering distortion spreading across the base. This distortion looked similar to a heat mirage which can sometimes be seen above a road surface on a hot day. The object flew past just off to his left, and over the roof of the neighbouring cottage. It vanished from sight over the roof due to the angle. Bill went back inside and ran through the house to the back garden. As he did he met Natalie who was in the process of getting his phone. Sadly by the time Bill had headed back outside the object was nowhere to be seen. He assumed it must have continued on a straight course and disappeared from sight over the woodland directly behind Yew Tree Lane to the South South West. Bill says that the following day he looked online to see if anyone else had reported seeing it (as if it had kept going on a straight path it would have flown right over Belbroughton), but found nothing. However he did find some older reports on the so called “Dudley Dorito” (a nickname given by the newspapers to one or more triangular UFOs seen and reported over the area of Dudley in recent years). Natalie’s Statement Although Natalie did not step outside, she still observed the UFO through the living room window for a number of seconds. She was more than happy to speak with me on the phone about the incident and provided the following testimonial statement: “Bill’s chair faces the window. He said what’s that over there? It was like a massive triangle with lights on each point. Could have been 100 foot. Was quite big, wasn’t too quick. Even though it was dark because of the lights could make out the shape. It was weird, and silent as well. I heard a helicopter afterwards. It was a clear sighting. It’s freaked me out now, if I’m outside and I hear any aircraft. The lights weren’t flashing, just an orange colour. It was quite big…sizeable. I could see it was black in colour. Even though it’s dark ‘cause there’s no light pollution I could see it blocking out the stars.” Sighting Analysis This appears to be a rather impressive multiple witness sighting of what is known as a Flying Triangle, one of the more commonly observed types of UFO. Regarding the authenticity of the witnesses, I have no issue with this. They both came across as extremely believable. Bill stated that he was rather sceptical of the subject up to this point, but this sighting had caused to view it in a whole new light. Natalie appeared genuinely spooked by what had happened. It was clear that this was a single large object with numerous lights on it instead of three smaller/distant objects flying in formation. Both Bill and Natalie confirmed that they could see the body of the object blocking out the night sky. Bill even mentioned the fact that he was certain it was actually black in colour, rather than it just being in shadow. This seems to put out of the question that the UFO was a formation of high altitude aircraft, Chinese lanterns/lit inflatables or distant drones. Bill informed me that he has an interest in aviation. He also said that he loves looking at the night sky, so is very familiar with how various types of aircraft look after dark. He is also familiar with how jet engines and propellers sound like. He is absolutely convinced that this was not a normal civilian or military aircraft of any kind. He said that when he initially saw it he thought it was a top secret aircraft and “the next evolution of stealth”, but that “nothing can fly that silent”. Checking Flight Radar 24 it can be seen that there were no tracked aircraft in the vicinity at that date and time: 360 Radar confirms that the area does not lie within an airway (usual flight route for aircraft): It also shows that the area does fall within controlled airspace, making it much less likely that the object was an untracked privately-flown aircraft: The lighting seen on the object does not correspond to normal aircraft navigation lights at all. These are usually a mix of white static, white strobing, red and green, not orange as reported. The object was much too large to be a drone, and again these usually have white, red or green lights on them. A large lit triangular inflatable seems unlikely, why would such an object be built and flown after dark in the first place? Bill stated that it definitely looked like it was flying on a controlled path, there was no noticeable drifting or rotation as it approached. There are also the matters of the unusual electrical sound the object was making, and the distortion seen on its underside as it passed over. Neither of these aspects would fit with any of the mundane explanations described above. Despite the fact that the object did not perform any particularly advanced manoeuvres, I feel it is likely that this was a genuine sighting of a Flying Triangle craft. This is one of the more commonly reported types of craft. They are almost always black/dark in colour and often have a light at each corner as described (although sometimes other lights are also seen). Whether the craft was human in origin or not is going to be down to your personal opinion. The witnesses did not observe any occupants on this occasion. That said I have investigated many cases where these objects have performed much more extreme manoeuvres and also been involved in contact cases. I have also investigated many that have taken place over city centres. If Flying Triangles really are all top secret military craft, then why would they be regularly flown over populated areas in clear sight? Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 14/03/2023 In January 2023 I spoke with a lady named Nina Scott via Facebook Messenger about a couple of sightings from earlier in her life which she wanted to get down on record. This report covers the more recent of these sightings. There is a link to her childhood sighting at the base of it. Sighting Details In August 2015 Nina went on holiday with her ex-husband and their two daughters to St Brides Bay in Pembrokeshire. They stayed at a holiday cottage in a hamlet known as Carreg Mabws, South of the village of Mathry. The area is very rural, and the cottage is surrounded in farmer’s fields. At the back of the property is a small garden with shrubbery at the far end, beyond which is an open field which slopes gradually upward. It was the penultimate night of their holiday (a Thursday). Nina happened to wake up about 1 am. She decided to get up out of bed and go to use the bathroom. She stepped out of the bedroom onto the landing. Above the stairwell is a tall window which gives a view of the surrounding area to the West. As she walked along the landing she happened to glance out of this window. Near the far end of the neighbouring field, about 800 feet away from her location, she saw what appeared to be a huge glowing circle/sphere of amber-coloured light. Within this she could see three smaller orbs of even brighter light. It seemed to be hovering a good height above the ridge of the hill, and seemed to be about the size of a double decker bus. Immediately she thought to herself “Shit! What the hell is that?” For a brief moment she thought it might be the full moon low down in the sky, but realised it was too large and close to be this. She stared at the object, puzzled by its appearance. It was completely static and she could not hear any sound coming from it. She did not call out to wake her ex-husband up as she thought he may want to leave the cottage and get closer to whatever it was, and she instinctively felt this would not be a good idea. After two minutes she had to go to use the bathroom. When she returned a minute later the glowing sphere was no longer visible. Nina felt extremely un-nerved by what she had just witnessed. She got back into bed and pulled the covers up and over her head, and settled back down to sleep. In the morning Nina informed her ex-husband about what she had seen and why she had not woken him up. He informed her that at some point during the night he too had awoken to find the room he was in flooded in bright light! In a semi-awakened state he thought to himself that it could not have been moonlight as it was a cloudy night, and it could not have been a nearby helicopter as there was no sound. After hearing the story Nina was secretly pleased that it was the last day of their holiday as she felt nervous about staying any further nights in the cottage. Once she was back home she E-Mailed BUFORA to inform them about the sighting. A couple of weeks later BUFORA responded via E-Mail and stated that there had been a couple of other sightings of a very similar object in the vicinity prior to the night of her sighting. Unfortunately Nina was unable to locate the response E-Mail for inclusion in this report. Sighting Analysis This is an intriguing sighting with some odd aspects to it. One possible explanation which can be ruled out is that the object was the full moon low in the sky. When near the horizon the moon can of course sometimes appear orane in colour. However Nina has informed me that she checked an online Lunar Calendar and confirmed that it had not been a full moon that night. As you can see this would have meant that the moon was either a half-moon or thin crescent, so could not have been responsible for what was seen. I asked Nina if it could have been a very bright light attached to a vehicle or some farm machinery near the top of the field. There is a road that runs along the ridge, but the object seemed to have sharply defined edges, and was too large in size to be caused by headlights. If it was a bright light (or multiple lights merging into one) attached to farm machinery of some kind then it seems odd that it would be left on to that time of morning, and I am unaware of any machinery which would have such a light/lights. If it was an actual glowing spherical shaped object with other lights either on or within it, what could it have been? 360 Radar confirms that the area does fall within an airway, meaning that commercial jets do fly over the vicinity: However it was stationary for a couple of minutes. Even if it had been travelling towards her location, which might have initially given the appearance of being motionless, it is likely some movement would have been seen in that time period. It did not have the appearance of a helicopter hovering at low altitude. No normal navigation lights were observed, and at the distance it was the sound of rotor blades would likely have been heard. And it seemed too large and the wrong shape to be a drone or other radio controlled model. A large lit inflatable or a landed hot air balloon lit by the flame at the base seem unlikely, why would someone be flying such an object at that time of morning? Besides which a hot air balloon on the ground or taking off would not have this appearance. The glow from the flame would only be intermittent not constant, and would very much be at the base, with the silhouette of the balloon seen above. Some aspects of the sighting would fit with it being an earth light. These are quite rare, but are usually seen over rural areas. They are circular in shape and last for a short period of time before fading away. However the object sounds too large in size to have been this, and also had the other smaller distinct orbs within it, rather than being uniform in colour. The light which was seen by Nina’s ex-husband could not have come from the object, as the bedroom he was sleeping in was on the other side of the cottage so the window was not facing the same direction as the one on the landing. So this appears to be unrelated. Although some contact experiences can start with a glowing white light flooding the room, there are no other indications that such an experience took place, although due to the missing time phenomenon this cannot be fully ruled out. It cannot be confirmed beyond doubt that the glowing sphere seen by Nina was an actual solid object and not just an extremely vivid light which appeared to be spherical in shape. It did not perform any manoeuvres and was relatively close to the ground, so it is hard to say for sure whether it was something airborne or not, although to Nina it certainly appeared to be. Due to the number of unresolved questions it remains a perplexing mystery, at least for now. As mentioned, Nina had another very different sighting back in her childhood. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Release Date: 14/03/2023 Author: Dave Hodrien In January 2023 I was contacted by a lady named Nina Scott via Facebook messenger. She wanted to discuss a couple of sightings she had experienced previously in her life. This report documents the first of these sightings, which took place in Olton, Birmingham. Sighting Details The incident happened on a bright and sunny afternoon in the summer of either 1979 or 1980 when Nina was 8 or 9 years old. At the time her mother worked at Olton Hollow, a line of shops which leads to the edge of Acocks Green. She and her mother had been doing some shopping in the area, and were now walking South East along Warwick Road towards where they lived. Nina happened to look up into the sky and noticed a number of unusual objects. At a sharp angle of about 70 degrees, there were 7 identical looking disc-shaped objects lined up in a row. Each one was reflective silver in colour and cigar-shaped (at least from the angle they were viewing them). They appeared to be at very high altitude and were completely static. There was only wispy cloud at the time so they could be seen quite clearly. She pointed the objects out to her mother, and they both started to glance at them as they continued walking up Warwick Road. The objects certainly looked unusual and Nina is certain that they were solid objects in the sky, and were not a formation of aeroplanes or helicopters. After watching them on and off for a number of minutes the objects were hidden from view behind a cloud. After the cloud passed by the witnesses expected the UFOs to still be present by they had vanished without trace. Nina says that the memories of the incident have remained with her for over 40 years. It certainly seems to have made a lasting impression. Sighting Analysis This is an intriguing sighting due to the appearance and positioning of the objects. It seems improbable that they were an optical illusion in the sky caused by reflection of sunlight. The incident happened decades before drones were commercially available, so this cannot have been the explanation. The sighting location is only two miles from Birmingham International Airport as shown on the below image. Although distant planes at high altitude can sometimes appear as reflective cigar-shaped objects, and numerous planes could be have been flown in the formation observed, Nina is convinced that the UFOs were static in the sky as they walked up the road, meaning that this could not have been the explanation. It would be less conceivable for distant helicopters to have the appearance of cigars, but not impossible. And perhaps coincidentally this formation decided to move off in the same direction as the cloud at precicely the same moment and speed, giving the appearance that they had vanished, although you may feel the odds of this are quite low. As the airport is situated North East of the sighting location, if a formation of helicopters had come from there, the witnesses would have been viewing them from a side on perspective. That said, despite the proximity of the airport 360 Radar confirms that the area does not lie within an airway (recognised route which aircraft follow): However it does unsurisingly confirm that the area does fall within controlled airspace, making it unlikely for the objects to have been privately flown aircraft: If they were not aeroplanes, helicopters or drones what else could they have been? It’s unlikely that identical blimps would be flown in such large numbers one after the other. However a launch of a number of novelty balloons could conceivably take place. If caught in an air current these balloons could line up. Maybe from certain angles the objects were less reflective, and so were still present in the sky, but appeared to have vanished as the witnesses walked up the road and their angle of view shifted. However you would also expect them to rotate rather than all be positioned horizontally. Also some movement via natural drift, even if quite slow, would still be expected. That said, this was quite a distant sighting, and the objects did not perform any manoeuvres which would indicate intelligence. Due to the distance of the sighting, and apparent lack of movement, there are a number of possible mundane explanations that cannot be entirely ruled out. That said, neither can they be confirmed, so this sighting will likely remain a mystery. As mentioned at the start of this report, Nina has had a second sighting much later in her life. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 14/02/2023 Last Updated: 27/02/2023 Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used In January 2023 I was contacted by a man from Yardley Wood, Birmingham who I shall name “Lewis”. He informed me that since early 2022 he had experienced a number of incidents involving beings and other phenomena. He also informed me that he had set up IR cameras on the outside of his house, and some of the incidents had intriguing video evidence to support them. This report details each of these experiences in depth and includes video analysis where relevant. Grey Visitation & Remote Viewing On the evening of 11th February 2022 Lewis had a few drinks with his wife “Helen”. They went to bed like normal about 10.30pm. During the night he suddenly awoke for an unknown reason. He was lying on his right side, with Helen facing the other way alongside him. He was fully covered in the duvet, which he said was unusual. He informed me that on the odd occasion when he is alone he tends to sleep like this as he gets frightened, but not when Helen is also present in the room. There appeared to be glowing light in the room, which he could see shining through the bed covers. He seemed to be completely paralyzed and there was also an intense feeling that there was something else in the room. Lewis thinks he called out to wake Helen up but she did not respond. This seemed to go on for about 30 seconds. Then suddenly there was two very bright flashes of light, two seconds apart from one another. The first flash was bright white. But the second was more red in colour. As it occurred, he saw the image of three silhouetted Grey beings standing in thge light. They were short, with large egg-shaped heads and slender bodies. The central one was standing a little closer and reaching out towards him with an outstretched hand. In the vision the beings seemed to be standing several metres away from him. Upon seeing them he jumped in panic. He immediately found himself lying in the darkness of the room covered in sweat. The bed covers were no longer over his head, but he could still not move. He was understandably extremely frightened of what was taking place. He looked at the clock and found that it was 1.05 am. He lay there for what appeared to be about five minutes. After this the paralysis seemed to subside and he found he could move again. He rolled over onto his left side and dropped off to sleep. In the morning he didn’t mention what had happened to Helen, as he thought she’d just put it down to a dream based on his interests in the subject. However the infra-red camera on the front wall of the house had been on during the night, so he decided to check it to see if anything unusual was caught. Below is the camera footage from 1.00 am to 1.16 am: At 1.00.42 am a car drives past with its headlights on: This results in the bright security light of the house on the opposite side of the road briefly coming on: While this could be interpreted as being responsible for the two flashes Lewis saw, this does not really make sense as they were not bright enough to light up the room in this manner. Also, even though the car driving past was brief and could be interpreted as a flash, the security light remained on for 6 seconds. At 1.04.38 am a curved shape very briefly appears lower down on the camera and then a moment later seems to move downward extremely fast and vanish: Still of the object ringed in red: Lewis interprets this as a triangular object over the house reflected in the parked car windscreen, but I am not so certain. The entire footage has all sorts of small moving shapes which appear and vanish. These are going to be down to a mix of insects, airborne debris and cobwebs on the lens getting caught in the camera light. The shape which appears at this point of the footage is no more detailed than anything else which appears, and certainly not detailed enough to confirm as a reflection of an object in the car windscreen. In addition to the UFO subject, Lewis also has an interest in remote viewing and fully believes in its reality. On 24th March he decided to post on a remote viewing Facebook group page asking for someone to do a remote view on what had taken place back in February. As a target for the remote view he used a night time photograph of the front of his house: This target image was obviously not given to the remote viewer prior to the reading. A lady got back to him almost immediately and said she’d be happy to give it a go. Soon afterwards she provided him with the following drawings and associated details: 1. “Not the US” 2. “Lots of shades of grey and black” 3. “Somehow these all fit together in my head. That’s all I’ve got from but it, I feel like you had some type of spirit activity also and I don’t have any idea how to draw it” 4. “I feel like there’s also cards flipping but I know if that’s me projecting to get a reading or not” Regarding the pictures, Lewis says that there are trees outside of his house which are bare of leaves in February. He is intrigued by the rippling lines and wonders if they relate to a craft positioned over the house during the experience. Lewis believes the third drawing relates to his house, which does have a jutted out roof just as she has drawn. He wonders if the stick figure standing on the bush/cloud relates to one of the Grey beings which he saw. Regarding the written points, she was obviously right regarding point 1 as the experience happened in the UK, although it is possible that she may have inferred this from the fact that Lewis himself was not American. Lewis wonders if the shades of grey and black which she mentions in point 2 relates to the black and white CCTV footage he examined the following day. He is also intrigued by the spirit activity comment in point 3. Fascinated by her responses, on 30th March Lewis got the lady to do a second remote viewing. This time the target image he used was a photograph of his bedroom window from inside of the room: Again the lady came back with numerous drawings and points: “The first part is an interior wall. The window is the most significant part in my head. That’s I was drawn to but I saw most of a wall” “I’m guessing the hedges are seen from the window but again I’m not sure on the why” “Oh and the color red somehow fits” The similarities between the target image and what the lady drew are clear to see. She’s first drawn a window from an inside perspective. And she’s also drawn a potted plant on a piece of furniture with legs, of which there were numerous in the photograph. It is possible to see bushes in the local vicinity from the window. The remote viewings performed on targets related to Lewis’s experience are interesting and there are clearly some links. In both viewings the images drawn clearly have close themes to the target images, which is somewhat impressive. However neither reading reveals much about what may have taken place. Regarding the incident itself, it is intriguing, although does have some of the hallmarks of a sleep paralysis experience. When experiencing paralysis people often report feelings of dread, the sense of a presence in the room, the inability to shout out, unusual light anomalies and a gradual return to normality. As Lewis already had an interest in the contact phenomenon when the incident occurred, it is possible that his brain linked what was happening with contact causing him to see the Grey silhouettes as part of the experience. The beings were clearly not standing alongside the bed in the room itself, they were only seen briefly during the second flash of light. This all said, an unusual visitation cannot be entirely ruled out. Contact through Meditation? In January 2022 Lewis decided to start regular meditation sessions to relax his mind. He had never tried meditation before but was intrigued by it. He also read online that it was sometimes possible to reach out and achieve contact with alien beings. With an interest in the subject, this was a prospect that fascinated him. He began to meditate a couple of times a week for up to half an hour each time. On 19th March he was 9 minutes into a timed meditation session when he decided to “reach out” to see if any other intelligences were present. Suddenly the detailed image of a Grey appeared in his mind. It was only half visible, its left side hidden in shadow. Its eyes were deep and fully black. Strangely, it had some kind of fleshy muzzle over the lower half of its face, covering the mouth. Lewis was shocked at the sudden appearance of the being, as he had never had any detailed visions like this before. It did not appear to directly communicate with him in any way. A minute later the alarm clock he had set went off and he snapped out of his meditative state. While it cannot be ruled out that this was an actual contact experience, the fact that Lewis was meditating at the time increases the chances that it was just a vision in his mind brought on by his interest in the subject and willingness for something to respond to his request. A Second Visitation Later in the same month, on 21st March, Lewis had another unusual visitation experience during the night. It started extremely similar to the first, with him suddenly waking with the feeling of something in the room. Once again he was under the duvet lying on his right side, with light visible coming through the material. But this time he could also feel something walking about on top of the covers. In his mind he reached out and grabbed whatever it was by the wrist and neck and pinned it against the bedroom wall. Even though he could not see it due to the darkness he felt sure it was a Grey. As he held it against the wall he screamed out for his wife. Like before he suddenly opened his eyes and found there was no being there in the room. However his arms were still outstretched like they had been grabbing hold of something. He was paralyzed and lying down in his bed, absolutely terrified. Helen was fast asleep so clearly he had not been calling out for her, or he had but she was unable to hear him. After a number of minutes the paralysis went away. This time it was approximately 2 am. Again the surreal elements of this incident lead me to believe that it might possibly be sleep paralysis rather than an actual contact experience. There are some definite cross overs which always need to be taken into consideration. Later on Lewis once again checked the infra-red camera footage from the night. At 2.00.03 am a blurred object appears for a single frame of the footage. It is positioned at the top left of the car windscreen: Enhanced and zoomed still showing the unidentified shape: Lewis says that there were a number of insects seen crossing the lens but these remained visible for multiple frames, making the unusual shape stand out. He wonders if it was the reflection of something, but again I feel it is far more likely to be an insect or airborne debris briefly caught in the camera. The Golden Sphere Over the weekend of 26th-27th March Lewis had a couple of bad night’s sleep with vivid nightmares that included alien beings. This led to him being extremely anxious at work on the Monday. He decided to ask one of his friends about what to do to do. His friend advised him to create a mental boundary before going to sleep, mentally telling the beings that they are not welcome. That evening he and Helen went to sleep about 10.30 pm. He still felt extremely nervous of what might happen, so found it extremely hard to drop off. He lay there on his right side and seemed to slip into a trance like state. At this moment it suddenly felt like he was sinking into a vat of fluid filled with bubbles. Remembering what his friend had said earlier, he immediately said in his mind “No I don’t want this!” Immediately he snapped out of the trance-like state. He rolled over in bed and settled back down. After a short while he once more seemed to slip back into this state. However this time he saw a fiery golden coloured sphere surrounded in several interlocking rings which were revolving around it! After a moment, strange language-like symbols began to appear around its edges and fly towards him. Some of the symbols were clearer than others, and one in particular kept repeating. As he read these symbols a sense of calm washed over him and he felt at peace rather than frightened. As quickly as it had appeared, the fiery sphere and symbols all vanished. In that moment some thoughts came to his mind extremely clearly: - Positive emotions, such as hope, joy, pride etc. are high energy / frequency - Negative emotions, such as fear, anger, hatred etc. are low energy / frequency - That he was on a ‘journey’ of some sort After this he dropped off to sleep. In the morning he sketched the symbol that had repeated itself the most. For a period of time after this experience he slept much sounder and no longer had the fear he was initially feeling. He says that from this point he continued to have vivid dreams but the nature of them changed, they became more explorative rather than frightening. Later in the year Lewis posted the sketch of the symbol he’d done on an internet forum to see if anyone could help identify it or explain what it means. In response to this someone posted a painting of two Grey beings wearing dresses. Each of the dresses had a symbol imprinted on it, and one of these two symbols looked quite similar (although not identical) to what he had seen turned on its side: This is quite an interesting experience, and I do wonder if it was an information download of some kind. If so this would clearly indicate that Lewis is experiencing contact, which adds weight to his previous encounters. However due to the fact that he has extremely vivid dreams, and that he was in a trance-like state at the time, it is possible that this was merely something his brain concocted as opposed to something which was definitely being shown to him intentionally. The similarity of the drawn symbol to that from the painting, and its obvious links with the subject, are interesting, although as you can see the two are not identical to one another, so this similarity could be just coincidental. Conclusion Looking at Lewis’s experiences from a measured perspective, it is hard to confirm one way or the other whether he is experiencing contact or not. Clearly he has had numerous experiences where Greys and other fascinating visions have been seen, however there are also signs that during these encounters he may well have been experiencing sleep paralysis, or seen things while under an induced or involuntary meditative state. His fascination with contact prior to the incidents could have resulted in these experiences incorporating elements of the subject. The remote viewing sessions linked with the first incident are intriguing but offer very few answers, and I do not feel that anything has been captured on CCTV which cannot be explained as insects, cobwebs or dust particles. I have seen plenty of extremely similar pieces of footage before. This all said, there is still the possibility that Lewis has experienced contact. These beings often manifest in very unusual ways, and there are many aspects of the subject which are esoteric in nature. It is important not to fully dismiss things without being absolutely certain. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 23/02/2023 In January 2023 Val Raizola, a member of our Facebook community group BUFOG Truthseekers, commented on a post mentioning that he’d had a UFO sighting in his childhood. Intrigued by what he saw, I reached out to him via Facebook Messenger to go over the details of what happened. Sighting Details Back in 2006 when he was 12 years old Val lived on Withering Pine Street in Las Vegas with his mother, stepfather and sister. His family had moved to the city from Jackson Town the previous year. It took him a while to settle in but by summer time he had established a number of good friends in the area. At the time his mother used to work until late into the evening. She was fine with him going out with his friends while she was at work. They would regularly invite him to come out and play at Silverado Ranch Park or the arcade of South Point Casino. One clear and warm evening, when the sun had almost set in the sky, he was invited to come and join them at South Skate Park which was situated in the North East corner of Silverado Ranch Park. This would be their regular place to initially meet up. All of his friends were skateboarders. Val did not skateboard himself, but he dressed like a skateboarder so fitted right in! He would head East from his house, and then South along Gilespie Street to reach the skate park. Since the incident housing and apartments have been built in the area, but it used to be surrounded on either side by open desert ground. As he walked South along the road he was able to make out the skate park ahead of him and off to the right. There were about 10 other children already there. The skate park has a number of standing lights around its edges to light it up after dark. Val decided to count these lights to pass the time as he walked. As he counted, he noticed that one of the lights did not seem to have a pole connecting it to the ground. As he continued to focus on this light, he realised it was larger than the other lights and also appeared to have smaller white lights at the base of it. At this point he had been staring at it for about 20 seconds. He realised that it was not a light at all, but instead a floating disc shaped object a bright white light around its centre. It had a flattened base around which numerous smaller white lights could be seen. At a distance it had been hard to spot initially due to its similarity in shape and colour to the skate park lights. It was hard to tell whether it was literally in between the lights, or whether it was further away and just visible between them. Suddenly without warning the object began to slowly and silently ascend vertically. As it did the white lights at the base began to rotate. Once it got to about twice the height of the lights it then came to a halt again. About 3 seconds later it instantly accelerated and shot away to the West! It was gone in less than a second due to the distance. The speed was so fast that it seemed to stretch it out momentarily into a line. Val was astounded by what he had just witnessed. He continued the walk to the skate park. When he arrived there he met up with his friend. There was no indication that they, nor anyone else at the park, had also witnessed the UFO. He was amazed by this fact, but decided to keep the sighting to himself as he thought that they would not believe him. It wasn’t until he got back home 2-3 hours later that he started to really think about what he had seen. Looking back at the incident Val feels that he must have been in shock. He says before this point he acted like nothing had happened, almost like he’d temporarily forgotten about it. But when he got home it “hit him like a train”. He did not associate it with being an alien craft as he had no knowledge of UFOs back then, however the way it had left the vicinity reminded him of the way the ships warped through space in Star Wars. He knew that whatever it was, it was something highly unusual. Val did not tell his parents or his sister about the sighting. He says his mother had gone to bed early that evening, and he did not have the opportunity to speak with her at any length of time in the days immediately following the incident as she was very busy with work. He did not get on well with his stepfather, and his sister kept to herself with her own group of friends. By the time he did have the opportunity to speak with his mother or sister a number of days had passed and it seemed less relevant to discuss it with them. He says that he has confided in a few close friends since then. Sighting Analysis This appears to be a stunning sighting of a disc-shaped UFO, which exhibited some extremely advanced manoeuvring capabilities. The witness comes across as very believable and I have no issues with the authenticity of the case. Val said he is happy to be able finally get the incident down on record. The object could not have been an aeroplane as they cannot hover still for a period or time or perform vertical ascents. Val says that he is 100% sure it was not a helicopter as, aside from the incredible speed that the object left the area, it was the wrong shape and had the wrong lighting on it for a helicopter. Due to the location, he would often see helicopters patrolling the skies, so knew exactly how they looked after da. Back in 2006 drones were not readily being utilised by the public for non-commercial purposes. Companies had started to use them for security measures or inspections, however the object looked too large to be a drone, and was the incorrect shape. Some kind of radio controlled model would be possible, but the speed at which it shot away seems much too fast for either of these explanations given the distance it was at. Due to the fact that this sighting took place in Las Vegas, there is obviously the possibility of brightly lit advertising balloons. However the manoeuvres were seemingly too controlled for it to have been a drifting balloon, and once again the final manoeuvre it performed means it cannot have been an inflatable. With these explanations discounted, I feel that there is certainly the possibility this was a genuine sighting of an advanced craft. I have investigated many sightings before where similar extreme flight capabilities have been observed, and the shape would certainly fit in with it being a craft, possibly of extra-terrestrial origin. It may seem bizarre that Val was the only person who seemed to have seen it. However the other children at the park were playing so were probably too distracted to look up into the sky and notice it. It is unknown how long it had been there for before Val initially spotted it, and it may have been further back over the parking lot or beyond instead of hovering directly at the edge of the skate park. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 07/02/2023 Last Updated: 14/02/2023 Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used On 17th January "Harold" got in touch with me via the BUFOG website to report on an interesting sighting and possible direct communication he had back in July 2022. Sighting Details At 10.19pm on the evening of 2nd July 2022 Harold was in the kitchen of his first floor flat in Pennfields, Wolverhampton. He happened to look out of the rear facing window to the North West. It was a clear and dry night outside and fully dark. In the sky visible over the rooftops of the opposite house he suddenly noticed a bright light at an elevation of about 25-30 degrees. He initially thought was a distant helicopter, possibly a mile away, ascending vertically at a slow pace. However he soon noticed the light had a glowing tail behind it. After watching it for about 15 seconds it suddenly began to move in an erratic fashion, moving back and forth instead of continuing to ascend on a straight course. At this point the object resembled three pink/red lights in a triangular configuration. Harold thought he could make out the body of a triangular object between the lights. At this point he realised that the object was something quite unusual. After watching it for about a minute he decided to go and grab his mobile phone from the living room to attempt to capture it on camera. As he walked back to the kitchen he opened the camera and started recording a video. He rushed back to the kitchen window and held the phone up in the direction the triangle had been seen. Unfortunately when he looked outside he realised the object had completely vanished. Disappointed that it had seemingly gone, Harold stopped the video recording. He then went through to the living room and quickly sketched what he had just seen. A couple of minutes later he decided to check the recorded video footage on his phone anyway, just in the off chance that something had been captured. However when he looked in his phone’s gallery, instead of the footage he found an unusual image. It appeared to be mostly white in colour, with a curved pink triangle half way down the left side. Because of the fact that the object had been triangular and had pink lights on it, Harold felt that the object had been a genuine craft, and that the image was a direct form of communication with him. He excitedly contacted his eldest daughter by phone to explain to her what had just happened. For a number of weeks after the incident Harold found it hard to think about what had taken place. He was deeply affected by the sighting and the subsequent image he found on his mobile phone. Sighting Analysis This is a distant, yet rather bizarre sighting. I did initially wonder whether it could have been a plane flying slowly towards his location giving the impression of rising in the sky. However Harold felt sure that initially the object was ascending vertically moving towards him. Also, although the tail behind the object could have been explained as a contrail during daylight hours, this sighting took place after dark, meaning that any contrail would not have been visible. Also this would not explain the erratic manoeuvres the object was then seen to perform. While a helicopter can of course ascend vertically, it would not have had a tail behind it, and the lighting configuration observed does not match any kind of normal aircraft navigation lights. In addition to this, Flight Radar 24 confirms that there were no tracked aircraft in the vicinity at the date and time stated by the witness: While Flight Radar 24 does not cover every aircraft, 360 Radar indicates that the area lies within controlled airspace: It also confirms that the area does not fall within any airways: These two facts greatly reduce the chance of the object having been an untracked aircraft of some kind. Looking at alternative explanations, atmospheric phenomena such as earth lights or ball lightning seem very unlikely. Earth lights tend to only appear in rural areas for short periods of time and are extremely rare. Ball lightning tends to be a white/pale blue colour and only appears in stormy weather conditions. While both a drone and lit inflatable/linked inflatables would potentially be able to perform the manoeuvres observed, neither would have initially had a glowing tail behind them, or really have changed in appearance from one moment to the next. Could the object have been some kind of pyrotechnic/flare? It appears to have had a glowing tail behind it initially, one that was visible after dark. Could this have been the object being launched, and then when it reached a certain height it exploded and then started to drift back and forth, giving the impression of numerous pink/red lights? The way that the object also mysteriously vanished in seconds would also fit this explanation. Perhaps it coincidentally burned out at the same moment that Harold went to fetch his mobile camera. Obviously none of these mundane explanations could interact with his mobile phone and cause the unusual graphical image to appear in his gallery. However it is entirely possible that this was an unusual camera glitch. Maybe the video did not start correctly causing an unusual error picture to appear instead. I do not have the level of expertise to confirm whether images like this can appear in a mobile phone’s camera gallery under certain specific conditions. Another possibility is that while rushing back to the kitchen Harold accidentally took a photograph instead of a video while his fingers were obscuring the lens, and this is the end result. That said I have never seen any image like this appear on my phone, I was not able to successfully recreate it, nor can I find anything similar online. Could the image truly have been some form of communication from the object, even though it seemed to be quite far away at the time? It is interesting that the shape and colour seemed to have similarities to what Harold was witnessing, and he certainly believes it was created on purpose for him to see. If so then this would then imply that the object was a genuine advanced craft, whose occupants had the ability to directly interact with and modify electrical technology in the local area. Triangular craft are often reported by witnesses, and they often have a light at each corner as Harold observed here. I have dealt with numerous cases where these corner lights have been red in colour, although I cannot recall any cases where they were pink. If it was a craft, then perhaps it is not a coincidence that it vanished at the moment Harold briefly took his eyes off it. I have dealt with many cases where this has seemingly happened, perhaps too many to be put down to sheer coincidence. Many believe that the beings aboard such craft may know when they are being observed or when they are about to be filmed, and use the opportunity to exit the vicinity. Conclusion A distant pyrotechnic/flare, combined with a coincidental camera fault of some kind cannot be entirely ruled out in this incident, so I feel that this is possibly the cause of what took place. However there are still aspects which are intriguing and may point towards something more unusual. As is often the case, it’s going to be down to your own personal opinion. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 31st January 2023 Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used On 29th January 2023 I was contacted on the phone by a lady who I shall name “Jane”. She wanted to report a sighting of some unusual coloured lights which had been seen several days earlier. After going over the details with her I felt that the lights were very likely down to a drone show / laser projection (still to be confirmed). However we then discussed a previous experience which had occurred in either the spring or summer of 1978. Due to various aspects of what was reported this incident seemed far more anomalous. Sighting Details Back in 1978 Jane and her husband “Derek” lived in a block of flats on Windmill Lane, Smethwick. One day in either spring or summer they had gone to visit friends who lived on a road to the West of their location. They left their friends late in the evening and began to make their way back home on foot. The fastest route back home took them through Victoria Park. It was around 9pm and already quite dark, but there was nobody else around and they did not feel like they were in any danger. As they walked East along the main path across the park, Jane suddenly noticed a strange object hovering over the trees on the far side of the park, just off to the right of where the exit gate was. It appeared to be about 200 feet up and approximately 30 feet across. The object appeared cigar shaped, but more raised in the middle, with a line of multi-coloured lights around it which were very bright. This fact combined with the low level of lighting made it quite hard to see the colour of the main body of the object. Jane pointed it out to Derek and they began looking at it for about three minutes as they slowly walked towards it along the path. Unfortunately neither of the witnesses had a camera with them so were unable to attempt to capture it on film, and there was nobody else in the park due to the time of day. When they got closer they could see that the object was in fact disc-shaped with a flattened base that had another circle of lights near to the edge. There was no sound coming from it whatsoever, and it remained motionless in the sky. At this point they began to slow to a halt as they realised how unusual the object was. They stared up at it for a few seconds, quite un-nerved by its presence. At this moment Derek decided he’d had enough of the situation and blurted out “Bloody hell let’s get out of here!” Both he and Jane began to run along the remainder of the path. As they reached the metal gate on the far side of the park, they were at the closest point to the object, and it was up off to their right still hovering in place. They looked up at it as they passed through the gate. At this precise moment, and without any warning, the object instantly accelerated and ascended vertically at an incredible speed! It was gone from sight in a brief moment due to the distance. The couple continued running away from the park until they realised the object was not going to come back, at which point they slowed back down and made their way home. Derek’s Statement While speaking with Jane about the incident she handed the phone over to Derek and I was able to ask him directly about what he remembered from the event. He stated the following: “It looked round with lights on it. It was like a hat. It was longish, and then like a raised part or dome, with a skirt around it. Like a disc. We ran to the gate as we were so scared of it. When we looked up it flashed away and it had gone.” As you can see Derek’s statement confirms that his recollection of it was extremely similar to Jane’s, and it was obvious to me that they were describing a real incident which had occurred. When he handed the phone back to Jane she said that she was happy he had decided to speak with me as she thought he would have been too embarrassed to discuss it with me, again a sign that this was something which had deeply affected him, but not something he wanted to gain any kind of personal glory from. Sighting Analysis This is a truly stunning close encounter with a disc-shaped UFO. Due to its appearance most mundane explanations can be ruled out. It was clearly a structured solid object so unusual atmospheric phenomena can be immediately ruled out. It was not an aeroplane as it was able to hover in the same spot for numerous minutes. It was clearly not a helicopter as both the shape and the lighting did not fit this at all, and when close to it they surely would have heard the sound of the rotor blades. 360 Radar indicates that Victoria Park lies within controlled airspace: It also indicates that it does not lie within an airway for any airports: While these maps are of course modern it is probable that the same applied back in 1978. A novelty hot air balloon or other large inflatable could have been a possibility, however this can be ruled out because of the stunning vertical ascent which the object performed. This sudden manoeuvre certainly implies that the object was under direct control. It was much too large to be a radio controlled model, and this sighting took place decades before drones were commercially available. In our extended phone call I found both witnesses to be very believable about what they had seen, and do not believe they are fabricating the sighting in any way. With mundane explanations discounted for one reason or another I can only conclude that this was a genuine sighting of a disc-shaped craft which possessed advanced manoeuvring capabilities. I have investigated many other sightings of disc-shaped UFOs before, some of which have had a strikingly similar appearance to what was described here.
