She first got in touch with me via E-Mail requesting to join in with the online BUFOG contactee support meetings, a testament to the fact that they are global and not just for contactees living in the UK. After speaking with her about her fascinating experiences, which have occurred since her teens, she agreed to the creation of this report.   Nosebleeds   From as early as Elouise can remember, up to about 14/15 years old, she would occasionally suffer from nosebleeds. These would tend to occur at night and she would wake up to find the pillow covered in blood. It is possible that these were just natural, however it should be noted that nosebleeds are commonly reported by contactees and are viewed by many to be a side effect of contact experiences. Could this be a sign that Elouise has always experienced contact?   The Glowing Orb   The first unusual incident which Elouise can currently remember taking place occurred on 25th March 1992 when she was 15 years old. At the time she was living in Nerang, Queensland. She shared the house with her mother, stepfather, sister and half-brother. She awoke in the middle of the night to see a glowing orb of pale blue light over by the doorway of her bedroom. She cannot remember whether the bedroom door was open or shut. The orb was floating about a foot off the floor. It did not look like a solid object; it was more like a ball of energy.   When she stared at it she suddenly felt very calm and was not frightened by its presence. It was as if the orb was emitting a sense of peace. After about a minute of staring ait it, Elouise then dropped back off to sleep.   In the morning she told her parents about it, but her step father dismissed it, saying she must have imagined it. This is unlikely, as many contactees see glowing orbs within their homes, it is a common sign that contact may be taking place.   Observation   Ever since her experience with the orb, Elouise often feels like she is being watched by something invisible. This feeling comes and go’s but remained near constant up until the age of 32. It seems to last for a variable amount of time and then go away.   When she was 32 Elouise went for a tubal ligation (sterilization by tying the fallopian tubes). Ever since then the feeling has become more intermittent but still occurs from time to time. It is unknown whether her operation was the cause of this or if this was merely coincidence.   When Elouise went to see a psychiatrist about these feelings, they informed her she put them down to paranoid delusions. However psychiatrists only look at ET contact from their own perspective. Most have not looked into ET contact in depth and do not believe that abductions are real events, so will often put them down to mundane explanations such as this. However feelings of being watched are very common in contact cases, and I feel that rather than everyone suffering from delusions this is evidence that in some cases they are being regularly monitored by the ETs.   Interaction Begins   In her early 20’s Elouise had moved to a house on Evangeline Crescent, Armidale, New South Wales with her partner. She began to find that she became extremely uneasy whenever she saw depictions of Greys, whether through drawings or other media. In her teens she used to love sci-fi and alien movies, so this was a definite shift due to an unknown reason. Around the same time she also became extremely frightened of the dark, especially while in her room at night. She had not been scared of the dark since age 10, and she wondered why this fear had returned so far on in her life. She linked these new feelings with her sense of being observed and came to the conclusion that she was being watched by a non-human intelligence. She was frightened of this prospect, and was too scared to tell anyone about these views.   The emergence of these feelings are a strong sign that Elouise had begun to experience direct interaction with the ETs and possibly abductions, the memories of which had then been blocked from her conscious mind. The uneasy feeling she got when she looked at artwork or media showing Greys was probably down to the fact that she recognised them and it reminded her of these experiences. This is commonly reported by contactees. Again the fear of the dark is another common sign that contact is taking place, and is more than likely due to the fact that the individual is aware that it is during the night when these contact experiences are taking place. So I feel that the conclusion Elouise reached is valid and correct.   Possible Implant   In early 2000 when Elouise was 23 years old she found a spherical shaped lump under the skin of her right thumb. It was underneath near to the knuckle, and felt solid to the touch. A couple of weeks later it was still there so she decided to go and see a doctor about it. The doctor thought that it was a calcified lump or bone chip. However he did not operate on Elouise as she was pregnant at the time and he felt it may be dangerous for her to be put under anaesthetic. He informed her that the lump was unlikely to be dangerous in any way and so they decided to leave it.   Could this lump have been an alien implant? It is possible that it did have a mundane explanation such as those the doctor suggested; however an experience soon afterwards would put this into question.   The Shadowy Being   A short time after visiting the doctor about the lump on her thumb, she awoke in the middle of the night. Her partner was sleeping next to her on her right. She did not check the time. She looked around the room and immediately saw a shadowy figure standing at the base of the bed. It was humanoid shaped but no features could be made out.   Rather than feel frightened of this strange being, a thought immediately came to her mind “There is no need to be frightened this time, they are only curious about the baby.” Just like when she had seen the glowing orb, Elouise felt calm and within a minute dropped back off to sleep with the being still standing there in the room.   In the morning Elouise told her partner about what she had seen. She was astounded when he informed her that he had experienced a very similar visit by this being too on a previous occasion. While getting dressed Elouise noticed that the lump in her thumb had now vanished. She did not know for definite that it had been there the night before, but it still seemed like a strange coincidence.   Many contactees have reported seeing beings similar to what Elouise describes. It is possible that this is their actual form, or perhaps they are masking their true appearance to reduce the trauma of the individual. It is possible that Elouise was abducted after she fell back off to sleep. The ETs rarely perform examination procedures while outside of their craft. Then again perhaps they were able to gain information about the baby just by being in the vicinity, and only a visitation occurred. However we must take into account that the lump in Elouise’s thumb had seemingly vanished during the night. This supports the theory that the lump was an alien implant – one which was then removed aboard a craft during this experience.   The fact that Elouise’s partner also apparently experienced a visit from this being suggests that he to was a contactee. It is unknown if this contact was directly or indirectly linked to Elouise’s own experiences.   The Peeking Grey   Elouise was 32 when she began experiencing further contact. It was a night in 2007. She awoke in the early hours of the morning to use the bathroom. In her house the bedroom and bathroom are separated by the living room. She exited the bedroom and looked out across the living room. It was dark but she could still make out the furnishings quite clearly. She looked over at a three seater couch, and immediately spotted the face of a Grey staring at her. It appeared to be down on all fours behind the sofa and she could just make out its head peeking out from around the side.   The being had a mottled grey and green coloured skin and a large rounded head which tapered down to a pointed chin. It had large oval shaped eyes which were completely black. Its nose was not very pronounced and was really just two nostrils, and it had a thin slit for a mouth. No ears were visible.   Elouise was very shocked by the presence of the being. She screamed out loud “No! Go away!” and backed away shielding her eyes from the being. When she reached the wall she put the living room light on. When she looked around she could see that the being had gone. She checked behind the sofa but there was nothing there.   Her scream did not wake anyone else in the house up, and she decided to leave her partner asleep. She got back into bed and finally managed to fall back off to sleep. In the morning she told him about what had happened.   Grey Visitations   The incident in the living room would not be the last time she would see this being. In late 2007/early 2008 Elouise awoke during the night, seemingly for no reason. She looked around the room and over by the door saw the same Grey she had seen before standing in the doorway. She was now able to see it fully, whereas before it had been mostly hidden behind the couch. It stood about 5 feet in height. Its arms and legs were thin, almost too thin to support the weight of its body and oversized head. It was staring at her with large unblinking eyes.   Elouise tried to scream but found that nothing came out. The being then spoke to her in her mind, commanding her to go back to sleep. At this she felt herself become drowsy and drop back off. This is quite commonly reported by contactees, the ETs seem to have a way of blacking out the individual at will. It is unknown if Elouise was abducted after she fell back off to sleep. She does not have any conscious memories of being taken.   Since then she has been visited by these beings roughly twice a year, and shows no signs of stopping. It is possible this has occurred on other occasions but she has not woken up. The beings do not always appear in the same place, sometimes she has awoken to find them alongside her bed. The experience is always the same, with the ET telling her to go back to sleep. Whenever she has woken up, she remembers seeing the being in the morning and feels frustrated and angry that it has happened again and that she seems powerless to stop it.   On my suggestion Elouise is currently looking into getting a night vision camera to see if she can capture anything on film. If there are any developments on this, they will be added to this report.   Hospital Operation   In 2008 Elouise went for an operation at Armidale District Hospital to realign her eyes. When she was coming out of the general anaesthetic, she spoke to the nurses. She asked them if she was in a human hospital, and said that she didn’t like the doctors with the big eyes. This caused the nurses some concern, as they of course had no idea what she meant. After the operation was complete they informed her husband of what she had said, and he in turn informed her.   Elouise was quite drowsy at the time but does have a vague recollection of what she said. She did not see any visions of Greys or of being in a different place at the time, but just remembers being told that she was in a hospital and then being concerned by what type of hospital it was.   This incident is fascinating and could suggest that Elouise has been abducted on at least one occasion. Contactees often compare the interior of a craft to a hospital due to the fact that it usually looks very clinical and clean, often with bright lights. This can sometimes lead to a phobia of going to the hospital/doctors/dentists because it reminds them of their experiences. Elouise does not have any of these phobias, but she could well have been referring to Greys and of being in a different “hospital”.   Family Contact   It is not just Elouise who appears to be experiencing contact. Around the same time as her operation, her eldest daughter, who was 5 ½ years old at the time, started to develop nosebleeds just like Elouise had experienced when younger. She also began to tell Elouise about the “doctors” who came to visit her during the night. When Elouise asked her what these doctors looked like she could never remember. Elouise did not tell her daughter of her own experiences, as she did not want to contaminate her stories in any way. However she felt sure that her daughter was also having contact experiences and felt helpless to protect her. She told her that it was ok to have the experiences and that she should try not to be scared by them.   Since then, Elouise split up from her husband and moved to Ballina. Her elder daughter remained with her ex, though she maintains regular contact with her. In 2011, Elouise decided to tell her daughter that she had seen an alien. Her daughter then told her that she had a dream where an alien came into her house, put her father to sleep by pinching his arm, and then took her away to a school and got her to do a quiz. At first Elouise wondered whether she was making this up, but when she asked her ex about it, he informed her that she has had this same dream regularly for quite a while.   Elouise decided to ask her daughter more about the dreams. She asked her how she knows the being is an alien. Her daughter replied that she could see its craft outside her window. When she asked her about where she was taken to she said it looked like her school. There were other children there who didn’t want to participate. Elouise asked her more about the quiz itself, and was informed that it was a written test on rhyming words.   She got her daughter to draw the being who she has seen in her dreams. Below is her drawing:  As you can see, the being looks feline, and other than the fact it is humanoid and standing on its hind legs it does not look like a Grey. However the Greys have the ability to mask their true appearance. This is commonly referred to as a screen memory. It is possible that they have projected this image so as to appear less frightening.   Recently Elouise found a drawing that her younger 4 year old daughter had drawn. This drawing appeared to be of a similar or same being:  When she asked her younger daughter what she had drawn, she told her that it was someone who had come and visited her once. Could both of Elouise’s daughters be experiencing contact too? This is a possibility, though Elouise does not know whether her elder daughter spoke to her younger daughter about her recurring dream, perhaps she did and her younger daughter just copied the description.   There are aspects of the elder daughter’s dreams that fit in with contact experiences. The way in which the being initially puts her father to sleep is very interesting. Often when contact occurs, other people in the local area will be temporarily shut down. This is probably done to prevent them from intervening or witnessing what is taking place. Could this be what is happening in the dream? Is the being really pinching her fathers arm or just reaching out and touching it?   If the dreams really are contact experiences, then perhaps the “school” where Elouise’s daughter is taken to is actually aboard a craft, and the ETs are once again projecting a screen memory. Numerous contactees have spoken before of finding themselves in a room aboard a craft alongside other unknown children. Usually the ETs then interact with them in some way, teaching them things or speaking to them. Could the quizzes she describes be linked with this?   As the being does not look like a recognisable ET type, and the location described is not that of a craft interior, it is hard to say for certain whether these dreams are contact experiences. Perhaps they really are nothing more than dreams. However contact often runs through multiple generations of a family blood line, so it would not be surprising if Elouise’s daughters are also having experiences.   Conclusion   It is clear from her experiences that Elouise is a contactee, and has been since her teens, possibly longer. There is also a sign that her ex husband may have been involved, and that both her daughters may also be experiencing contact. Elouise seems open to the idea that this is taking place in her life, and has learnt to accept and live with what is happening. She is resigned to the fact that there is probably not much she can do to stop the experiences.   As this contact appears to be ongoing, it is likely that she will have further contact. If she stays in touch and tells me of these additional experiences, this report will be updated going forward. If she does invest in some camera equipment she may also be able to capture something at some point, which would both reaffirm the physical reality of her experiences and would also be very valuable for research purposes.   I would like to thank Elouise for coming forward with this sensitive information and sharing her experiences so that others may learn from them.   Copyright Dave Hodrien 2024

Birmingham UFO Group Report Author: Dave Hodrien Originally forwarded by Richard Hall Release Date: 16/08/2011 Last Updated: 04/11/2024   Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used This report covers a stunning daylight multiple witness sighting of a UFO which displayed intelligent manoeuvres and appears to have been intercepted by military jets. It has numerous impressive aspects to it. Sadly after initial correspondence I received no further contact from those involved so details are somewhat limited. However I have decided to release known information in case other witnesses come forward and due to the possible significance of the event. Incident Details   It was about 10am on a clear sunny day in 2000. "Sarah's" husband "Jason" was inside their house in Aberdeenshire and looking through the patio doors at the sky. He suddenly noticed an object coming towards the tree line. He opened the patio door to get a better look at what it was. The object reached the tree line and at this point he got a proper view of what it was. The object was a domed disc shape and pewter in colour. There were no visible markings on its smooth surface. It was hard to tell exactly how big it was. It was flying at quite low altitude, about 60 feet off the ground.   The object was now no further than 500 yards from his position. It was completely silent and moving at a slow speed, moving in from the right of his location. At this point he realised it was very unusual and not a conventional object of any kind. He called Sarah to come and also see it. She came to the patio window and now also saw the UFO.   Sarah exclaimed “Oh my god, what is that?” Both witnesses were both stunned and frightened by what they were observing. The object was completely silent and was travelling on a straight and level course. As it got nearer they sensed a strange silence in the area, like everything had stopped. It was very strange.   Then the couple heard the sound of jet engines. What looked like two military jets appeared over the roof of the house and headed towards the UFO. As they got nearer to it, the object increased in speed. It flew off out of sight beyond the tree line, followed by the two jets.   Sarah said to Jason “It must have been a UFO, there’s no way they would scramble planes for nothing.” A moment later they heard another plane approaching. What appeared to be a spotter plane appeared over the house. It was flying at low altitude. It circled around the area for quite a while. Both witnesses continued to watch it for a number of minutes.   Soon after the sighting Sarah mentioned it to two of her friends, but they were very sceptical. She did not mention it to anyone else in the village. She is unsure if anyone else saw the incident, nothing was reported in the newspaper or on TV.   Incident Analysis   This sounds like a stunning sighting. probably of a genuine craft. The appearance of the object puts a conventional aircraft or helicopter out of the question. The fact that the object accelerated as the jets got closer to it shows that it was under direct control and was not an inflatable object drifting in the air. Also there would have been no reason for the jets to intercept it in the first place if it was not something out of the ordinary. The fact that both Sarah and Jason saw the object means it was clearly a solid object present in the sky and not just their imagination.   The plane that turned up soon after the UFO and jets had departed is interesting. While it could well have been related, there is the possibility that it was completely separate and not there because of the craft. As it happened so long ago it will be impossible to determine if this was the case or not, and it would be futile to contact air traffic control.   The domed disc shape of the object is one of the more commonly reported craft shapes. Also the pewter colour has been described in many other cases. If this was a genuine craft, it is unknown what it was doing in the area or what happened after it was lost from sight. As I do not currently have a precise date/time of the incident I cannot raise a Freedom Of Information request with the Ministry Of Defence at this time, and sadly due to how long ago it took place radar applications such as Flight Radar 24 cannot be checked. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 30/09/2010 Last Updated: 29/10/2024   Sighting Details   At 6.30pm on 26th February 2010, witness Mark Goode was in his house at Wolverhampton and talking to his friend, UFO and animal mutilation researcher Mike Freebury, on the phone. He was looking out of the window. It was an overcast evening with complete cloud cover. All of a sudden to the North West, about 150 metres from his location, he saw a glowing orange spherical-shaped object descend from out of the base of the low cloud. The object was moving slowly, seemingly under control. It was hard to judge its exact size or height in the sky.   The UFO continued to descend for around 15 seconds, then all of a sudden reversed its direction and began to ascend straight upwards until it re-entered the cloud and was lost from sight. Mark was surprised at what had just taken place, and discussed what he had seen with Mike.   Sighting Analysis   Although the observed movement pattern of the object was interesting, I feel that this sighting may well have been of a Chinese lantern. Lanterns often appear as glowing orange orbs/spheres at a distance and it is hard to see their actual shape due to the brightness of the light coming from them. Lanterns do tend to ascend slowly rather than descend, but it is entirely possible that it was caught in a downward air current temporarily, after which it then began to drift upwards again. Although the movement did seem artificial this is by no means a definite. The witness was obviously impressed with the sighting, and I of course cannot be certain that it was a lantern, however I feel this is the most likely explanation.   Copyright Dave Hodrien 2024

In 1966 when he was 7 years old and at primary school, he had a dream about being in class. The teacher was writing some sums on the board, and underneath them he could see the answers written in golden numbers. The following day at school the teacher wrote out the same sums, and he remembered the answers from his dream! He was able to tell the teacher and got them all right. The teacher picked up the answers book, glanced at it with a puzzled look, then at him, but did not say anything to him directly.   When he was in his twenties and used to go clubbing with his friends, Derek would become aware of where fights were going to occur, hours before they would take place. When he walked into a place where something was going to happen the air would feel heavy, and the mood would be dark. After the fight/incident was over, this mood would lift and he would feel much happier.   In May 2009, Derek's neighbour lost her purse while outside. She informed Derek and asked if he had seen it around. In the following weeks, when Derek walked the dog around the neighbourhood he would feel a strange energy force at once particular place. It felt like butterflies under his rib cage. Derek knew that when he felt this energy it meant he was close to finding the lost purse. One day when he walked past the area the feeling was very intense. He knew that this meant he would find it. Looking around, sure enough there it was on the pavement near to him! He handed it back over to his neighbour.   Derek sometimes sees a glowing light/aura around certain people, including various girls he has been in relationships with over the years. It tends to appear at random and stays for a while before fading away. He has gone for an eye test at the Royal Oldham Eye Clinic and was told that there was nothing wrong with his vision.   Sometimes when he meets people he will instantly gain an understanding of what they are like even before speaking with them. When he first met his ex-wife he sensed that she and him would get married but also later divorce. He went ahead with the marriage anyway, and hoped that he was wrong, but this prediction did sadly come true.   On various occasions when he has won something like a raffle or a bet he has got the feeling of an electric shock in the palm of his hand. This feeling goes up his arm to his head, and when it happens he knows he has won before being told. One time Derek’s father was in for an operation at a hospital in South Manchester. Derek went to visit him. While there he bought several strips of tickets for a prize draw to win a signed Manchester City football. When the nurse handed him the second strip of tickets he felt the electric shock and knew that he was going to win. He told the nurse he had won and she asked him how he knew before the tickets were drawn. Derek told her about the electric shock feeling but she did not believe him. The following evening Derek returned to the hospital to see his dad. The prize draw had taken place and sure enough he had won the prize!   When someone he knows of dies, Derek sees a bright blue ball of energy flash up in his vicinity. Whenever he sees this he knows that he will find out about someone's death within a few days. An example of this took place after he had got divorced. His son was staying over for the weekend at his house. Late on the Friday evening a bright ball of light flashed up near the window of the living room. It was not only seen by Derek, his son saw it too and asked what it was. In the morning his ex-wife rang up to say that her mum had suddenly passed away several hours earlier.   In May 2009 Derek 's mother wanted to visit Moston Spiritualist Church on Church Lane for a reading from a medium, so Derek took her along. While there the medium asked Derek if he too would like a reading. He decided out of curiosity to agree to this. When the medium held his hands, she informed him that he had a gift and asked him if he would like to join the church. He went along to see what it was like but decided not to return.   Contactees often report possessing psychic abilities, sometimes since birth, other times developed over time. It is so regularly reported that I feel there is a definite link between the two. It is possible they are given these abilities intentionally like a gift, or they may just be a side effect of experiencing contact.   The Orange Orb   In August 1977 when he was 18 years old, Derek lived with his parents at a house on Westminster Road, Failsworth. At the time he worked for Oldham Council in Werneth Park as an apprentice gardener. On evening he was walking home, and was on Roman Road. It was a dark and overcast night with no stars visible.   Suddenly he noticed a glowing orange ball of light over a chimney at the Argyll Mill on Holt Lane, which was visible from his position. The object looked about 20 feet in diameter and was glowing very brightly. Derek stopped walking and stared at the object for several minutes. It remained motionless in the sky.   His next memory was arriving back home. His mother said he was late back and asked where he had been. His meal was going cold on the table. He did not check the clock so had no idea what time it was or how long his journey home had taken. He told his mother he had no idea why he was late back. Although he could not identify the object he had seen, he did not think of it as a UFO at the time.   Later on, in the early hours of the morning, Derek was suddenly awoken by a thud on his bed like something had bumped it. He had no clock in his bedroom but the morning light was just starting to appear. Looking out of his bedroom window he again saw the orange orb hovering 10 feet away from the window, bathing its surroundings in orange light. It was moving very slowly in a controlled manner. When it reached the neighbours house and had gone out of sight, Derek ran through to his parent’s bedroom, waking them up in a start. He checked out of the window to see it reappear at the front of the house but it did not. He assumed it must have gone straight up or vanished. He then told his parents about what he had seen. His dad informed him that he had seen something similar over the chemical plant where he worked which had flown against the wind.   Silver Sphere Fright   The following day after seeing the orange orb, Derek went into work like normal, but kept staring up at the sky. It was as if he was waiting for another UFO sighting. That evening he went out to see his friends, who were standing on the corner between Westminster Road and Glenmore Drive. It was a clear and still night and he stayed with them for a while chatting. He was facing Glenmore Drive, but his friends had their backs to it.   Suddenly in the sky he saw a portal of some kind open up. It looked like a sock being rolled back. Through this portal came a spherical silver coloured object. Once the sphere had emerged, this "portal" faded away. The sphere had a completely smooth surface. Derek was frightened by the object and immediately ran away down Richmond Road, without telling his friends what he was running from. There he hid at an old house that he knew.   He has no idea how long he hid for but feels it was probably between an hour to an hour and a half. He emerged and could not see the sphere anywhere so began to walk back home. It took him about 10 minutes but seemed like much longer as he was still frightened of the sphere. When he got back he told his mother about what had happened, but did not mention it to anyone else, not even his friends the next time they caught up with him.   Orbs   After seeing the orange orb and silver sphere, on numerous occasions Derek would wake up in the night and see orbs of light come down through the ceiling of his room. Whenever they appeared, he would hear a voice saying to him "Derek come with us, you'll be safe". The voice sounded like it was actually in the room just above him. He would then black out and not remember what happened next. This even happened when he tried to refuse and replied to the voice that he would not go. It felt like he was being sedated. Derek had no idea of what the orbs were, but he felt sure that he had to go with them whenever they appeared.   Silver Sphere Abduction   When still living with his parents Derek used to work at Placemate 7 on Whitworth Street in Manchester. His auntie's son Joe also worked there. The club used to stay open till 2am, but him and Joe would remain behind another hour to clear up. One night they left at 3am to head home. Derek was driving with Joe sitting in the passenger seat. Derek began to drive Joe to his house on Nursey Road.   As they turned onto Lord Lane, ahead of them in the sky a “portal” opened and a bright silver sphere appeared in a similar fashion to the one he had seen in August 1977. At first the witnesses thought it was the landing lights of a plane, but soon realised it was something else entirely. It was about 150 feet in front of them and 200 feet in the air. It remained motionless in the sky for a moment, then suddenly increased in speed and shot away extremely fast at a right angle to the road in the direction of Ashton/Droylsden to the South. They continued their drive to Joe's home, discussing what had just happened.   After dropping Joe off, Derek then began the drive back to his own house. He was nervous after what he and Joe had witnessed, and felt a tingling sensation on his skin like he was anticipating something. He glanced at the clock in the car and saw it was now around 4am. As he came round a blind bend on The Fairway, he again saw the silver sphere in the sky in front of him, about 200 feet in the air. He started to drive along the road towards it, when there was a sudden blinding flash of light.   He remembers arriving home about 7.30am. The sun was just starting to come up in the sky, so he knew for certain that a while had passed. He could not remember what had happened for the last three and a half hours.   Silver spheres are one of the more commonly reported types of UFO, and are seen all around the world. They have been witnessed in a variety of sizes ranging from several inches across to larger than an aircraft. They are especially reported by contactees, who have on many occasions seen them both in the sky, and actually accompanying the ETs. It appears that on this occasion Derek may have been abducted by the sphere, or its presence indicated that an abduction was about to take place. The flash of bright light followed by a period of missing time are both classic signs of an abduction experience.   Abduction Memories   In late 1993, Derek moved into his own flat. On a day in late August/early September 1994 he looked out of the window and noticed a silver coloured sphere hovering outside in the air. It approached the window and stopped moving about 12 inches away from the glass. It then seemed to split into three, duplicating to the left and the right so there were now a row of three spheres. Then these three spheres joined back together into one.   Derek 's next memory was of lying down on a shiny metal surface of some kind. He felt like he was tied down onto it. He sensed a number of beings around him, and although he does not actually remember what they looked like he feels that they were small in height. He then felt a clamp of some kind being put onto his head. This stretched from the back to the front of his head, and caused pressure in the middle of his forehead. He then felt memories from his life being played out. It was as though the beings were trying to experience what he had lived through and feel his emotions. He could not remember any more of his surroundings.   His next clear memory was of being back in his flat standing up. He felt extremely tired and wanted to go to sleep. He was quite disturbed by what had taken place, and without checking the clock he went to bed. The following day he woke up but still felt totally worn out, so fell back off to sleep until later on.   Although Derek did not see any actual ET beings during this experience, at least in the memories he currently remembers, I feel that there is a good chance this was a real abduction. The flat metallic surface he found himself lying down on is very typical of an abduction experience. Usually contactees are not physically tied down, but could he have been mistaken? Perhaps he wasn't actually tied down but was paralyzed, and this lead him to believe that he was. The clamp that he mentions being put onto his head is interesting. The ETs have been known to use many different instruments during their examinations, perhaps this was some kind of device for extracting his memories. Certain ET species, especially the Greys, do appear to be very interested in our emotions. They are not often seen to express emotion themselves, and are often viewed as being very neutral and emotionless. Some believe that they are trying to gain an understanding of human emotion because it is something they have not properly developed or have lost over time.   Passing over   In 2005 Derek had to go into hospital for a test on his liver. He went to the Royal Oldham hospital on Rochdale Road, Manchester.   Because the beds were almost full in the hospital, he was put in an old man’s ward. In the bed opposite him was a man named Tom who was very ill. Derek was reading in bed, when he glanced over at Tom and noticed a glowing electric blue light all around him. This light was very intense and had ripples running through it. Derek compared these ripples to the lines made on a beach when the waves wash in over the sand. There were nurses around Tom at the time but they did not notice this light at all, it was only him who could see it. Next to the bed contained within this light was a man wearing a smart dark pin stripe suit. The man was slim in build, and had black hair which was brushed back. He was staring at Tom and did not look round at Derek. Derek did not mention the light or the man to the nurses, but it was obvious that they could not see either of them.   About 4am Tom began to shout "Dad don't go! Don't go!"  But Derek watched as the man in the suit left Tom's bedside and walked away along the ward until out of sight.   In the morning, Tom still had the blue light all around him. At 3pm Derek had to go and get a test done. When he returned to the ward he saw Tom's family all around him and it was obvious that he was going to soon pass away. At the end of the bed was Tom's father wearing the same suit as the previous night. Tom's family and the nurses were actually walking through him! He did not speak but Derek sensed that he was waiting for Tom. As the day went on, Tom's family left until only his dad remained at the end of the bed.   It was dinner time, when suddenly Derek heard Tom's dad speak for the first time. He said to Tom "I will come for you" . He then left the bedside and again walked along the ward, and faded away just before he reached the doors to the ward.   The next morning, Derek awoke to see a nurse making Tom's bed, which was now empty. The blue glowing light had completely disappeared. He asked her where Tom was, and she informed him that he been moved to a smaller ward and had then died at 3am. Derek did not see Tom's dad come back for him but he feels that this must have surely happened, and that Tom was now at peace.   The fact that other than Tom, only Derek saw the glowing blue light and the apparition of Tom's father is again signs that he has heightened senses.   Voice Of The Dead   In 2006, Derek was out walking Bouncer on the estate where his mother lives. He was about to cross over The Fairway (at roughly the same place where he had previously seen the silver sphere) when he heard a voice say to him "I did not mean to kill myself" . Derek crossed over to the other side and then responded to the voice, asking "Hold on, who are you please?" In his mind he then saw the image of an old friend of his named Dave. In this vision Dave was smiling. He and Dave had used to work on the Oldham Parks department for a number of years. Derek exclaimed "Dave!" but the vision was beginning to fade, and he did not hear the voice again.   The following evening, Derek's ex-wife rang up and told him that Dave had died, and was being buried in Hollingwood cemetery the next day. Derek attended the funeral and found out from Dave’s father-in-law that in the years he had not seen him he had developed a drink problem. On the night of his death he had been taken in by the police for his own good, but then released. Early the following morning he was found dead on Huddersfield Road, Oldham.   Haunted   It was a Friday evening in July 2007, and Derek was out walking Bouncer over Moston Brook. Through the trees he caught sight of a figure of a man, back lit by a strange yellow/orange glowing light. The man was wearing a crash helmet and appeared to be vibrating very fast. It was immediately obvious to Derek that the man was an apparition.   The man approached Derek, and he could see that the man's eyes were wide open with shock and bewilderment. The man looked a little familiar to Derek, but he did not recognise him. Derek said to him "I can help you pass over, but what's your name, please tell me your name".  The man did not speak but continued to stare at him. It looked like he was trying to speak but nothing came out. Derek continued his walk and the man walked alongside him in silence. As he reached his home the apparition faded away.   During the night Derek again saw the man in his dreams. In the morning Derek awoke and found that the right side of his body was in extreme pain. The right side of his head, his right arm and right leg, every bone, every muscle hurt.  After a while the pain seemed to die down, but was still present enough to feel. The man appeared again, still staring at him, obviously in need of help. Derek tried to ignore the pain and the apparition and go about his day. He took his mother out shopping. But his head felt like it was going to explode, so he told his mum he needed to go back to bed. Again his dreams were haunted by the figure.   In the morning once more he was in extreme pain, even worse than the previous day. It was so bad that he didn't want to get up out of bed. But the apparition still appeared again. Derek informed the figure he was going to pray for him, and then he did. On the Monday morning the pain was beginning to subside. The man appeared to him again, but Derek felt that he was calmer this time and was going to be able to communicate. However just when he felt the apparition was going to speak, the phone went off and the man vanished.   Derek didn't want to take the call as he felt it was going to be to do with the apparition he had been seeing. However in the end he picked it up. It was his friend Glyn. She said to him "Derek I've got some bad news". Derek shouted in response "Who Glyn? Which one of us is it?" Glyn replied "Brett Barker, he was killed this weekend on his motorbike in Yorkshire". Derek had met Brett numerous times but was not close friends with him, and had not seen him in a while, which is why he was not immediately recognisable. At the moment he found out about Brett the pain completely went away. Derek did not see the apparition again.   Later in the autumn it was a bright sunny day and Derek was out walking Bouncer when he suddenly felt a strong feeling of peace. A vision of a white corridor appeared before him. He then saw Brett's face, but he was younger than he had been when he had died. Derek knew that he had passed on and was at peace. He wished him well and the vision faded away.   Pray For Her   On another occasion while walking the dog at the back of his mother's estate in Moston, Derek again saw the yellow/orange glow he had seen when the apparition of Brett first appeared to him. This time though, he did not see a figure but instead heard a woman's voice. The voice said to him "Please pray for the soul of Annie Mills" . Derek did as the voice asked and began to pray for this unknown lady.   He then had a vision where he was standing in a kitchen. There was a well built woman wearing a white apron in front of him. Derek sensed that this was Annie. She bent down and took out some freshly baked shortbread biscuits from the oven. She offered Derek the biscuits but he refused saying "No thanks" . The vision then faded away.   The following day he was out again walking Bouncer, and he began to pray for Annie Mills again. There was a sudden gust of wind and as it passed he heard a very low woman's voice say "Thank you" . Derek responded "Peace and love to you Annie".   Later Derek spoke to his mother and informed her about Annie Mills. His mum was amazed and told him that Annie used to be her auntie's next door neighbour, and that she always liked to bake.   Assaulted By A Ghost   In the winter of 2008, Derek was on his regular evening walk with Bouncer over Moston Brook. He was walking through a dark wooded area. Out of nowhere he suddenly felt something hit him in the jaw quite strongly. There was no-one else around and he had definitely not walked into the branch of a tree. When he got home he checked in the mirror and there was a red mark on his chin.   The following day two women were out in the same area and came across the body of a boy who had apparently died of the cold. Derek feels that it was the ghost of this boy who had hit him, perhaps trying to let him know that his body was lying nearby and he wanted to be found.     Small Silver Sphere   In July 2009, Derek was sitting in his living room watching the news. All of a sudden a small silver-coloured ball rose up from behind the TV. It was only about an inch in diameter, and had ridges across its surface, and a cloud of yellow-coloured vapour of some kind around it. As Derek watched, the sphere came over the top of the TV and descended until it was in front of the middle of the screen.   This is the last thing that Derek remembers about this incident. He does not remember what happened next, and does not remember regaining consciousness of what was taking place around him. There appears to be missing time involved here, but Derek does not know how much.   Again this could well be the start of an abduction experience. As the incident took place in his own home, it is very unlikely that the object was some sort of remote-controlled model. So unless Derek somehow imagined the sphere or was hallucinating, it appears to have actually taken place. I have investigated other contactees who have seen similar things, although the ridges and yellow cloud around the object are unusual and I have not heard them mentioned before.   Drawn To The Stars   From a very early age Derek felt like he wanted to be up in space. He is fascinated by the idea of visiting other worlds and communicating with extraterrestrial races. He feels that space is his true home, and he is especially drawn to one star in particular - the star known as the "Cradle Of The Stars" in the constellation of Orion (one of the stars which makes up Orion's Belt). He has no idea why he feels this way; he has not read anything about this particular star, he only knows the name it is given. Every night he likes to look up at it and feels that he belongs there.   In the winter of 2009, Derek had a strange experience involving this star. On most clear nights he likes to walk Bouncer and look up at the stars as he walks. He was looking up at the star in Orion's Belt when suddenly he felt a surge of energy that appeared to be coming from the star. He stopped walking, and could feel this energy going into his forehead. He is not aware how long he remained there for, but after a time he shouted "I've had enough, I want to come home!" At this moment the feeling of the energy subsided and he and the dog continued their walk.   Often contactees feel drawn to the stars, or feel the sense of belonging that Derek speaks of. It is possible that they are aware that this is where the beings who are interacting with them originate from, or in the case of Star Children they may actually originate from elsewhere and be able to sense this.   Conclusion   Derek has had many fascinating experiences, some of which could well be related to ET contact. He has had UFO sightings, abduction experiences involving missing time and seen numerous beings. His other experiences involving possible psychic abilities and paranormal events could have been caused by side effects from this contact, although this is not a certainty. However many contactees do report such incidents so there does seem to be some link to contact.   Some of the things which have happened to him he cannot currently remember in full. Perhaps in time he will gain a greater understanding of what has taken place and for what reasons. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Year: 2010 Last Updated: 21/10/2024   Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used   “Hayley” first reached out to me via Facebook wishing to discuss her experiences with me. We then arranged several Skype conversations to go over everything in depth.   The Man In White   From about the age of three Hayley recalls having vivid recurring dreams of an elderly man wearing white robes but no footwear. He had long white hair and a beard, and held a book in one hand and a pen in the other. His skin complexion was very pale and he would be surrounded in glowing light. He would also be floating a short distance off the ground. Hayley would meet with this man in a variety of places, different every time. On one occasion he was under a mango tree, on another standing on the roof of the house. At another time the surroundings were all white.   Whenever she dreamt of the man he would appear off to her left side and would not look directly at her. However he would have deep conversations with her about life and about the stars. At other times, he would project images into her mind instead of speaking.   In some of these dreams she would visit other places with the man, flying alongside him.   At the time she viewed these encounters with the man as simply dreams. However later in life she began to view him as her “spirit guide”. She claims that the man still speaks with her from time to time directly in her mind or by showing her images while she is awake.   Memories of Elsewhere   Since an early age Hayley has experienced a repeated memory of another place which she thinks are from a previous life on another planet. The memories of this are quite detailed. Here is what Hayley informed me, in her own words.   “I believe it is another planet, the place of my origins. I had a home, my home was all white. No kitchen. No doors. The rooms were bare and smooth.   I had a child, and some kind of window where I was watching outside. This place where I was, I had a home and I had a life. I could log into some kind of collective consciousness which was around the planet, and as I did I could know everything. Like some kind of internet but different. I could hear other’s thoughts, as I was connected to all and all to me, and still have privacy if I wanted. I looked human. I was wearing some kind of white suit. It was as if it was made of silk. No stitches. Right down over my body and legs.   I saw my child but not his face. I think he was a boy with dark short hair. I tried looking at him but the face was blurry. I think I did see him clearly but my brain can’t translate it. He was wearing the same suit as me.   There was something where I could sit. The colour of it was red. I remember watching out of the window. No glass, it was open. Outside the colours and light were different. It was beautiful. I could see other houses, a waterfall and a fountain. There was something in the middle of the fountain but it just looked like a very bright light. I don’t remember seeing clouds in the sky.   There were other beings around, but not in my space. I could not see them, I just knew they were there. They were related to me. They accompanied me to some kind of cylinder. The cylinder was white and big, about two or three metres tall. When I got near I could see Earth, it was as if I gathered from it lots of information about the Earth. Like images in a very fast tempo.   I was communicating with some being in my mind. They wanted me to come back to Earth, and I was a bit concerned about something. I was shown in images the life I am now currently living here. I asked about something I had lived before here on Earth, on some kind of island which everyone was being evacuated from because the ocean was rising. Everyone was going to a mountain, and at the very top people would disappear in some kind of light. I stayed because there was someone who could not go along, and I refused to go without them. I stayed and died, the waters of the ocean took me.”   According to Hayley she used to tell her mother of these memories when she was young.   Psychic Awareness   In her childhood Hayley lived in South Africa with her family. From about the age of 6 Hayley recalls being able to sense issues that others are going through or strong emotions without speaking to them. She says that on some occasions she has sensed illness or injury and informed the person, leading them to be either shocked or even frightened of her.   At other times she would try focusing on an individual and then they would get in touch or come to visit her.   After doing this a while, Hayley says that mother became concerned and even tried to halt this ability by mixing drugs into her drinks which nulled her senses.   She says that as time has gone on this ability has reduced in strength but still not gone away. She now has to touch people directly or touch a photograph of them, rather than being able to detect things remotely.   Blue Planet   In May/June of 2009 Hayley learned more about her supposed past life on another world. She was standing in her bedroom when she sensed the presence of two beings, one either side of her. She then received a telepathic message from the beings. The informed her that she originates from a blue coloured planet, which she was shown visually in her mind. They informed her she could go back and see it any time she wished. She was also informed that she could show this vision to someone else by touching them on the left shoulder.   Soon receiving the message she tried exactly this with her son. According to Hayley, he was able to see this vision. He described it as “beautiful, like he was dreaming”. She did not question him about the details of exactly what he saw.   She also tried the same thing with her boyfriend, but says that it didn’t work with him. She says she may have not been in the right state of mind at the time due to the pressure. She has not tried it since with anyone else.   Silver UFOs   At 9pm on 5th June 2009 Hayley was in her house with her seven year old son. They were in the bedroom and she was reading him a book. The curtains of the bedroom window were open. Due to the time of year it was still light outside, warm and sunny, with a clear sky.   As she was reading her son suddenly exclaimed that “a star had fallen from the sky”. He then asked her to look out of the window. She was able to see out of the window from the bed where she was lying down. When she checked she saw a silver coloured sphere hovering in the air. It appeared to be right over the back garden, and was quite small but larger than a football, several feet across.   Upon seeing the object Hayley got up and walked over to the window to take a better look at it. Her son was very excited and started jumping up and down on the bed saying that it was a star. She noted that nobody else was outside, and also everywhere seemed strangely quiet, there were no birds visible in the air. Hayley informed me that there was usually lots of birds around so this was notably unusual.   Looking down at the ground she saw a spiralling shape, like distortion in the air. It was radiating outwards from the sphere and rotating continuously, so was clearly being caused by the presence of the UFO.   The sphere was in line with the upstairs window of the house, so about 20 feet off the ground. It was stationary and completely smooth with no markings on it. It was reflecting the evening sunlight. However one strange thing which Hayley noted was that although the sun was off to her left in the sky, there was light also reflecting on the right side of the sphere.   As she watched over five minutes this glow seemed to increase until there was a glowing aura of white light surrounding the sphere. This had definitely not been present at the start of the sighting. Despite the apparent small size of the object Hayley felt that there must be someone inside it, and was confused by the lack of visible doors.   I asked Hayley to describe the way the object was hovering and she said “It was not flying but kind of just hanging there. It was like gravity worked different.”   After several minutes the sphere started to move. As it did so the white glow around it died down. It then began moving away from her location at a constant speed. It moved towards the roof of the house beyond the garden then began ascending and flew away into the distance slowly. Unfortunately Hayley was too transfixed to think about getting her camera to take a photograph of the object. Once it had disappeared from sight Hayley spoke with her son and asked him if he saw it. He said that he saw “the star”. He then asked her if he could take a photograph of it, but she informed him it had gone.   However a few seconds later another object came into view from the right extremely fast. It was a similar colour to that of the sphere but was scalene triangular in shape (each side was a different length). It was also larger, roughly 15 feet across.   It halted at the same location the sphere had previously been hovering! Upon sighting this second object her son ran to get her camera, leaving her alone in the room temporarily. He returned to the room with the camera, but Hayley was again too focused on this second object to direct him to photograph it. After about five minutes the triangular object suddenly began moving away at a fast velocity in the same direction the sphere had departed. The acceleration was instantaneous, and it was only visible for a few seconds due to the speed.   No sooner had the second object vanished than a second triangle arrived, this time coming in from the left! It was facing the opposite direction to the previous one. The only other difference was that this one appeared to have a line of small white lights along its base. These lights were flashing on and off at random rather than sequentially, giving a twinkling effect.   At this point of the sighting she began to get frightened because she had no idea what these strange objects could be, and started to believe they must be intelligently controlled craft.   This third object remained over the garden for a shorter period of time than the other two. After a couple of minutes Hayley noticed that there was an aircraft crossing the sky at high altitude. A minute later the third object started moving away in the direction of this aircraft, again extremely rapidly. Even though it was larger than the sphere it still vanished into the distance before reaching the high altitude aircraft.   Hayley says that after the incident she informed her family about what had taken place but they didn’t believe her. She also checked her camera and found two photographs that her son had taken. She believes that these photographs show the first triangle flying away from the house into the distance. Below are the two photographs with the object ringed:   Zoomed view of the object: Zoomed views with edge find: As you can see the photos are not particularly impressive as the object is too distant to clearly see its appearance. However I am not certain it even shows the triangular UFO. Metadata is hidden information which can be extracted from original photographs using a variety of software tools. Below is the full set of metadata extracted from the first photograph:   Key points that can be determined from this metadata are as follows: - There is no sign of image manipulation, I believe this is a genuine un-tampered photograph (Not that I had any suspicion that it was) - The photo was taken on an Olympus digital camera - The image was taken at 9:08:13pm on 5th June 2009   The metadata of the second image looks largely identical to the first, so I won’t display it all. However from the below screenshot it can be seen that the second photo was taken at 9:08:58pm, a good 45 seconds after the first: This is at odds with Hayley’s statement that the first triangle departed very rapidly and was only visible for a few seconds.   Also the object in the second image is much further to the left in the sky than the first, as can be seen from the angle the photo was taken at and its position in relation to the clouds/neighbouring house roof. This implies that the object was moving across the sky slowly to the left. I believe this means that the object in the photographs is not the first triangle but instead is a distant aircraft, maybe one that was not noticed by Hayley at the time as she was too busy watching the UFOs.   This is certainly a bizarre series of events, with multiple UFOs showing up one after another at precisely the same location. The manner in which they moved and speed they moved at shows that they were under intelligent control and could not have been silver coloured balloons or normal aircraft.   It is very unfortunate that Hayley did not take the camera off her son and manage to photograph at least one of these objects, especially as it was within reach during the time that the second triangle hovered over the garden. As with most incidents on record we only have her testimonial evidence to go on.   Playing With Spheres   After midnight on a night in February 2010 Hayley and her children were staying the night at her partner’s house. She was lying awake in bed when she suddenly got the feeling that there was a craft hovering over the roof of the house. She does not know how she knew this, she could see it in her mind. She could not clearly see this craft, but she sensed that it was silver in colour. It felt friendly to her, she was not frightened.   She jumped up out of bed and went to check on her children who were sleeping in another bedroom. When she started walking around she found that she could see clearer than usual. When I asked Hayley to describe this she said “All the colours were brighter than usual. More beautiful than normal.”   She found that her children were both fast asleep, so she walked back to her room. Next she received a telepathic communication. A male sounding voice in her mind told her she could “skip something that was about to happen if she wanted to, but that she could do to another place where she could play with the spheres.”   In her mind she accepted this offer. Suddenly she felt like she had been transported somewhere else, although she does not think she left her room, it was like “entering an alternative dimension”.  She found herself standing in white light. In front of her she saw a humanoid girl wearing a white suit covered in black dots. She had curly long blonde-coloured hair down to her shoulders, and bright blue eyes, which almost appeared to glow. Surrounding her were many small silver spheres hovering in the air and moving around her.   The girl was reaching out and touching these spheres. Her movements seemed extremely rapid. She heard the telepathic voice in her mind inform her that she could not be seen with her human eyes at a normal rate of speed. The girl did not seem to acknowledge her presence. All of a sudden the girl retreated away from her like she herself was moving away. She then found herself floating up near the ceiling of the living room looking downwards. She tried to descend and found she could not. The voice in her mind returned, telling her that there was something wrong with the earth, and it was going to be difficult to stay on the ground. The voice then invited both her and her children to go with them. It said that if she did decide to go she could only come back through the light, and if she chose to do this she should not bother other people.   Hayley was fascinated by the idea of going with the beings so agreed to this. They then asked her to get one of her belongings out of the house – a sculpture of a dress that she had been given as a gift. She has no idea why they asked her to get this specific item or how she could do so if she was stuck up by the ceiling, she wonders if it was some kind of sign or had other significance.   This is the last thing she recalls happening. When she came to she found it was morning time and she was waking up in bed. She immediately remembered what had happened during the night. It felt extremely vivid, far more real than a dream would feel.   The following month, prior to her ending her relationship with her partner, she heard the beings speaking to her again telepathically, this time during the day while she was fully awake. They informed her that “something had happened and they had to leave” . She has not heard the voice since this time.   The female being that Hayley witnessed in her vision certainly sounds like a Nordic-type being, with the blonde hair and extremely blue eyes. I have investigated and heard about other cases where people or beings have been seen aboard craft using psychokinetic abilities, or even being taught to enhance them. Why Hayley was shown this vision is unknown at present, as she did not seem to interact with the being in any way, she merely observed her.   Conclusions   Hayley has had a lot of psychic experiences, some of which may well be contact related. The vision she had of the Nordic girl playing with the floating spheres is particularly interesting, although it seems more meta-physical than physical, much like many of her other experiences.   The close encounter with the various silver craft suggests that they were there to observe her/her son, which again could imply that contact is taking place.   Hopefully Hayley will keep in touch and inform BUFOG of any future incidents she experiences.   Copyright Dave Hodrien 2024

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Year: 2010 Last Updated: 21/10/2024   In 2010 I was contacted by a man named Colin who reported that he had seen a UFO earlier in the same year. Unfortunately I only have his initial details to go on as he did not get back in touch after early correspondence. However I have decided to release the information that is known in the hope that other witnesses may come forward.   Sighting Details   Late evening on the 9th May, Colin was lying in his bed and staring out of the bedroom window at the night sky. It was a clear and still evening, and he had a stunning view of the stars. The time was between 11pm - midnight.   He saw a bright white orb of light which he at first thought was a star. But then he realised it was slowly moving to the left. He soon realised that the object was travelling towards his location at a slight angle. As it got closer it became much bigger and brighter. The object looked like it was travelling about the same speed as a plane. He could see no shape behind the light. Colin looked for the tell-tale flashing lights that a normal aircraft would have, but there were none. The bedroom window was open but he could hear no distant sound coming from the object.   After a few seconds, the light suddenly turned to its left and flew parallel to his road. It retained its brightness for a while, but then suddenly faded out over 2-3 seconds. He continued to watch the sky for a further 15 minutes but the light did not return. In total the sighting lasted for 30-40 seconds.   Colin mentioned to me that both he and his partner Ruth found identical scars on their bodies the following morning after the sighting. These scars were half an inch in length, completely straight and looked like they had been there for ages, but according to Colin appeared overnight. Colin’s scar was on his wrist. Ruth’s was on her underarm. Both scars vanished after 2-3 days.   Sighting Analysis   Colin feels certain that the object he saw was an advanced craft of some kind. It had no indication of being an aircraft, and did not have any normal running lights on it. It also made the sudden change in course, and appeared to be completely silent. There were other aircraft in the sky at the same time, and the normal lights on these were visible.   Usually moving white lights in the night sky would be put down to satellites, the International Space Station or meteorites. However because of the movement speed and change in direction the object cannot have been any of these.   There is a chance it was a helicopter at high altitude, but usually other lights would be visible. Also if it was a helicopter it surely would not have suddenly faded away. It could have been hidden by a cloud, but Colin stated that it was a clear night.   The object seemed the wrong colour to be a Chinese lantern – these usually appear a fiery orange or yellow colour, not white. An LED balloon is a possibility, but the abrupt change in direction points away from this. The sighting occurred before drones were commercially available so is unlikely to have been one of these.   It is unknown whether the scars Colin and Ruth found on themselves are anything to do with the sighting. There did not appear to be any direct interaction so they could be put down to accidental damage. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Year: 2010 Last Updated: 23/10/2024   Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used   In 2010 I was forwarded a sighting report form from Lancashire’s Anomalous Phenomena Investigation Society (LAPIS) for me to follow up on due to the location it took place at. I reached out to the witness who filled out the form but sadly he never responded. The below details cover what he initially shared.   Sighting Details   On the evening of 20th April 2010, “Mark” was standing outside the back of his house and was looking up at the stars. It was quite a cold night but the sky was relatively clear, with only a light amount of cloud cover.   As he looked to the North he suddenly noticed a particular star which seemed a bit lower, larger and brighter in the sky than all the others. He was puzzled by this and continued to keep an eye on it.   When he initially sighted it, it was at about 30 to 44 degrees elevation. After a while he became aware that it was not a star and was slowly descending in altitude. Mark went to get some binoculars to take a closer look at the object. When he looked through them he saw that the object appeared to be performing a display of flashing multi-coloured lights.   These lights were flashing in patterns. Mark described them as being “like a firework display, laser type graphics, or a high quality video game in four or five colours”.  This display looked as if it was taking place through a transparent screen of some kind, and he was also aware that the object looked very large in size. He called his wife outside to also take a look at the object.   Both witnesses watched the object for 45 minutes, during which it dropped from its initial height till it vanished from sight behind some trees in the distance to the North. This gradual movement appeared deliberate and controlled, rather than something drifting down through the air. It looked like it was at least a few miles away in the area of Blakedown. Mark was so intrigued by the object that he decided to drive out to the location where he believed it had descended to see if he could get a closer look at it.   As he arrived in Blakedown in his Mercedes Benz, he got a strange eerie feeling like he was close to the object. Suddenly while he was driving, all the car lights went out without warning (both inside and out). He managed to put the hazard lights on and pulled up at the side of the road. After a short time he managed to get the lights working again, but when he drove back onto the road once again they all went out! His car was only 3 years old and had never had anything happen like this before.   Considering the current circumstances this was extremely un-nerving to him. Luckily after a moment the lights came back on again. He drove around the area for a while but could not find anything. He rang his wife who confirmed that she could not see anything from the house either. In the end he decided to head for home.   Sighting Analysis   Although Mark did not respond to my requests to discuss the incident further, he provided enough detail in the initial sighting form to form an opinion on.   The object witnessed does not sound like a conventional aircraft of any kind. An aeroplane would not have been able to slowly descend over such a long period of time so can be put out of the question. The lights on the object seen through the binoculars sound nothing like normal helicopter navigation lights. The sighting occurred several years before drones became commercially available.   The length of time the object was observed for tends to suggest it was not a balloon with multiple coloured LEDs attached to it. It would surely have drifted away in the 45 minutes it was observed for.   Although the fact that Mark’s car temporarily lost power in the vicinity of where he thought the UFO had descended towards, there is nothing to directly link the two. Birmingham UFO Group Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 12/11/2010 Last Updated: 25/10/2024   Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used   Early Thoughts   Since an early age Nicola has believed in the existence of extraterrestrials and been fascinated by them. She does not know where these feelings came from, as back then she had certainly not watched any TV programs or read any books about the subject, and her parents never spoke of it either. These feelings did not appear suddenly from one day to the next, it was more a slow realisation that ETs were real and were visiting Earth. She has always believed that many different ET entities exist. She thought of them as gender-less little people. When she was a bit older and more knowledgeable, she believed that the fairies that people spoke of in folk tales were in fact extraterrestrials. She was fascinated by the idea of multiple dimensions and believed that the ETs existed in other dimensions not seen by our eyes.   Nicola also sensed a connection to the stars. She used to love looking up at the night sky, even when she was as young as 5. She would often leave her bedroom window curtains open on purpose so she could see them before she went to sleep.   These feelings are interesting, especially as they began when she was too young to have been heavily influenced by various forms of media. Nicola thought of the ETs as small asexual beings – it is easy to see the similarities between this description and the Greys. Her thoughts on fairies actually being ETs is also something which researchers have looked into in great depth. There are a lot of similarities between old tales of fairies and goblins and alien abductions, and some people believe them to be based on ET contact experiences. Many experiencers sense a connection to the stars, probably because subconsciously they are aware where the beings they are in contact with have originated from. This feeling is particularly strong with “star children”, however at this stage there is very little evidence that Nicola would fit into this profile.   Observed   Another feeling that Nicola has had since a very early age is that she is being regularly observed by a presence of some kind. This feeling comes and goes, and sometimes gets worse when she on her own at night time. However she also sometimes feels it in the day. This presence seems to be all around her and she cannot pinpoint it to any one particular location.   When she was younger, this feeling of being watched would frighten her. As time has gone by she has learnt to accept it and is less scared because she realises that the ETs are not hostile – if they were they would have harmed her in some way.   The Silhouette   When she was at primary school, Nicola would sometimes camp out in the garden in a tent with her friends. During these years she lived at a bungalow in Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, Anglesey. One night she had two friends over to stay and they were camping out in the front garden. About 7 feet in front of the tent was a low wall. The girls were inside the tent when they suddenly noticed the silhouette of something unusual standing on top of the wall. It looked like a small being, about 3-4 feet in height, similar to a child but with incorrect proportions. This being appeared to be standing still and staring towards the tent.   The girls were understandably afraid of the unusual shadow. They quickly dashed out of the tent, and without looking back ran inside the house. They did not venture back outside until the following morning. There was no trace of the being or anything out of place.   Could this have been a visitation by an ET? It is a possibility worth considering; however it could just as easily have been down to the imagination of the girls. Perhaps it was merely a cat, fox or other animal, or even a person standing by the wall for a moment. Silhouettes cast by light can often be deceiving, making distorted shadows that can seem to look like strange creatures. As the girls did not actually look at what was causing the silhouette, we will never know for certain what took place.   Paranormal Activity   For as long as she can remember, Nicola has often felt scared of going to bed at night. This fear has remained throughout her life, and tends to come and go. However it is far from an irrational fear. It has been brought on by a number of strange occurrences which she has witnessed.   On numerous occasions between the age of 5-10, Nicola would feel her back and feet getting prodded or pressed down by an unseen force. This would always happen when she was lying down in bed before she went to sleep. When it took place she was terrified and would lie completely still and close her eyes. It felt threatening, like something was trying to get her to react. On one occasion she did look and felt sure that she saw a hand lower down the bed. She has also regularly felt her bed covers being pulled downward, like something was trying to pull them off on purpose to get at her. When this has happened she grips them very tightly to stop this from taking place.   The fear caused by these incidents would sometimes become unbearable. Nicola would often check around and under the bed in the daytime. Along with this fear, there was always the sense of doubt, and she often wondered if she was imagining everything that was taking place. She felt like she couldn’t scream for someone to come and help her because she would not know what to say to them if they did. One the time when she thought she saw a hand she did call for help, and ever since it has been a running joke in her family. On one occasion when she was 9 or 10, she got so frightened she ran downstairs to her mother, who was putting up Christmas decorations.   Because of these recurring incidents, Nicola developed a phobia of going to bed. She would lie down but it would take her ages to drop off to sleep. From the age of 10 these incidents seemed to cease, but the fear caused by them remained and has never really gone away. Nicola believes that an extraterrestrial presence was responsible for these occurrences. As she had not directly witnessed any ET beings, she does not really know why she feels they are responsible.   Missing Time   In her late primary school years, while still living at the bungalow, Nicola experienced two separate incidents involving missing time.   On the first occasion, she had settled down to sleep and it was very dark in the room. Then all of a sudden she found herself standing in the bathroom staring at the window. It was broad daylight outside. She was very confused and wondered if an eclipse had been responsible. She could not understand how it could be dark one moment and bright the next. She tried to think back to what had taken place and was upset to find she could not remember. However lookin g back at the incident Nicola cannot remember what happened next either. She cannot remember leaving the bathroom or what she did.   On the second occasion she found herself at her school. She was running along the school corridor in a panic. She was disorientated and did not know what time it was. It was still daylight outside. She checked in the classrooms and they were empty, so she assumed it was lunch time. However it felt too quiet and there was nobody around at all. She ran to the canteen and it too was empty. She then started running along another corridor towards the staff room. This is the last thing she can remember, she does not know what happened next. Thinking back to the incident she assumes it must have been after school closing time but before it got dark.   Nicola has never spoken to her parents about these incidents as she feels she would sound crazy. Her family have never mentioned either incident to her. What occurred is intriguing, but seems unlikely to have been related to ET contact. On neither occasion was there any reason to believe that ETs might have been involved e.g. a sighting of a UFO or beings before or after. She also remembers feeling normal during and after both incidents, there were no unusual side effects such as tiredness or sickness. She cannot remember what took place directly before or after these incidents, only how she felt at the time. She did not remember them immediately, they came back to her later as memories, but she has no idea when exactly they occurred. I do wonder if these incidents were in fact down to some kind of medical condition. Nicola feels she was in good health at the time, but she has never spoken to a GP about the incidents.   The initial incident could perhaps have been caused by sleep walking, although Nicola is not prone to this at all. She couldn’t have been missing for a long time such as an entire morning, as I am sure her parents would have noticed she was missing. She was still young at the time so they would surely have woken her up in the morning or been aware of her presence around the house. Perhaps it was during the summer and when she found herself in the bathroom it was actually very early morning. The second incident apparently took place during the daytime at school. It appears that she must have been running around the school after closing hours. Her parents did not used to pick her up at the end of the day, she would often hang around with her friends a while after school, so if the incident did take place at this time they may not have noticed her missing.   Green Glowing Energy One of the most fascinating and bizarre incidents which Nicola has experienced took place in late December 1995 when she was 24 years old. This experience was also witnessed by her husband Tom. Nicola’s second daughter Emily was just 4 months old at the time, and was sleeping in a Moses basket alongside the bed.   One night Nicola awoke at about 3am to feed the baby. This was a regular routine, and she woke up naturally, the baby was peaceful. As Nicola sat up in bed she noticed that her hands looked a bright white colour in the darkness, brighter than they would usually appear. It looked almost as if they were tinted. For some reason she got up out of bed, this was something she would not usually do as the baby was within easy reach. She reached down into the Moses basket and picked up her daughter. As she did so, she realised that there was a mild whitish-green glow beginning to emanate from her hands and forearms. This glow began to intensify around the areas where she was holding Emily until it became a bright fluorescent green glow!   Nicola was astounded at what was happening. She was not frightened by it and was actually excited. She immediately felt it must be something to do with the ETs. She was certain that the glowing light was emanating from her, not from an external source shining in through the window. She called out for Tom, who got out of bed and walked round next to her. When he saw what was taking place he was absolutely amazed. Nicola opened up Emily’s babygro to see if the light was coming from it or the nappy but it was not.   She laid Emily down on the bed. Even when not touching her, Emily continued to emit a glowing light. It began to subside. Nicola picked her up and began gently rubbing her. After about 5 minutes the glow became less intense and then vanished completely.   After putting Emily back in the basket, Nicola and Tom remained awake a while discussing what had happened. They decided that as soon as possible they would take Emily to the GP, just to get her checked out. As it was Christmas week the doctors was not open the following day, but the day after that they took her there. Nicola did not want to tell the doctor what had really happened, so instead told them that her daughter’s nappy had glowed green. She asked if it could have contaminated her in some way. The doctor examined Emily and concluded that she was fine.   This is a truly strange incident, and one which is hard to explain. It appears to have taken place for real, the fact that Tom saw it happening as well as Nicola suggests this and proves that it was not simply a dream Nicola was having or her imagination. It seems very unlikely that the glowing light was coming off something in the room or through the window, if it was then this would surely have been immediately obvious and no cause for concern. Could the light have been some form of energy that Nicola was passing on to her daughter for whatever reason, perhaps energy given to her by the ETs?   Further Paranormal Activity   In 2009 when she was 38, Nicola began to experience more unusual occurrences in her bedroom. These were different to what had happened when she was younger.   It began with an unusual scratching sensation coming from underneath the side of the bed and mattress. Nicola took the bed apart trying to find the cause but nothing was ever found. Later in the year on several occasions she felt the bed start to vibrate. She thought it was a mobile phone that had been left on the bed by mistake, but there was never anything found which could have been responsible. As time went on this activity seemed to increase in intensity, and the whole bed would strongly vibrate or even move a short distance.   After a while this activity subsided, but things did not settle down. Next came a number of occasions where she could hear what sounded like objects being moved around in the room. As it was dark she could never verify if this was taking place or not.   Soon after, she began to be woken up time and time again at exactly 3.03am by electrical devices activating by their own accord. For example the alarm clock would go off even though it was not set for that time. The TV would turn on and back off by itself. It even continued to do this after the plug in the socket was switched off, which of course is theoretically impossible. When Nicola became angry and unplugged and removed all electrical devices from the room, the fire alarm downstairs went off! This activity continued for several months and then completely ceased.   In August 2010, Nicola was lying in bed and suddenly felt like something was touching her on the back of the leg. There was nothing anywhere near the bed which could have been responsible. At the time she put it down to her imagination, although it sounds quite similar to the experiences she had earlier in her life.   These varied experiences are very interesting, although it is hard to say whether they are down to ET contact or not. There does appear to be a link between contact and paranormal activity. Many contactees report experiencing activity similar to this in their home. It is possible that through contact the individual’s senses are heightened or awakened, and this makes it more probable that they will experience ghostly activity. Much of what Nicola speaks of sounds like a poltergeist. The electrical activity she has mentioned is especially interesting as conactees often report electrical issues or faults in their proximity. Perhaps the presence of the ETs causes electrical disruption or it is down to something which has been actually changed inside the individual.   Haunted Cottage   In 1983 when she was 12, Nicola's family moved from their bungalow in Llanfair to a cottage in the same area. Either in that year or the following one, during the winter months, Nicola had an encounter with what she believed was a ghost. At the time she used to share her bedroom with her two sisters. One night before dropping off to sleep, she was lying on her back with her head slightly to the left.   Suddenly a luminous semi-translucent white figure appeared in front of her, several feet away. She sensed that it was feminine though this was not obvious from the figures appearance. It hovered towards her a bit, and extended its arm towards her. Nicola turned her head away so she was looking straight up, but she could still see the figure in her peripheral vision. She felt like screaming but instead just panicked and closed her eyes.   After about 5 minutes she re-opened her eyes and the figure was gone. When she told her parents about what happened they did seem to believe her, as they sensed the house may be haunted when they moved there.   There were other strange occurrences in the house as well as just this incident. On Nicola's first night in the house she felt constantly watched and had the strong feeling of a presence there. This feeling remained both day and night. Gradually she became ill until in the end she suffered from Peritonises. On numerous occasions the family members would hear footsteps on the stairs. Nicola was in the bathroom one evening, and suddenly the bathroom mirror cracked in two in front of her and dropped into the sink. Activity such as this continued until the family left the house in 1984.   It seems like these experiences may well have been down to ghostly activity rather than ET contact. But perhaps the reason why Nicola experienced them was because of heightened senses brought on by contact.   Psychic Messages   On several occasions Nicola has received messages of both things that have just happened and things that were yet to happen and then took place. When she gets these messages they appear in her mind like she is talking to herself. They are always direct with no conscious thought leading up to them.   It happened for the first time when she was living at a house in Pwllheli between the age of 15-17. She was brushing her teeth when suddenly she got a clear message in her mind saying "Helen has just died. Helen is not here anymore". Helen was a friend of the family who lived in Llangefni. About 5 hours later her best friend Laura rang up and informed her that Helen had died suddenly of meningitis. She had only been ill for less than 24 hours, and had died around the time that Nicola heard the message. She felt very upset, and strangely guilty almost as if she had caused it to happen.   In October of the same year, she was lying in bed and suddenly she got the message "John will be diagnosed with terminal cancer and will die before you finish the flats" John was her father in law, and he was working on a housing project in Pwllheli. The following month, her prediction appeared to be coming true. John became ill and started to become steadily worse. In late December he was diagnosed with stomach cancer. He was given a maximum of six months to live. He remained critically ill for a time, and the housing project was heavily delayed. However John did not die, the tumour actually started to shrink. So on this occasion, Nicola's prediction gratefully did not fully take place.   Again while living in Pwllheli, Nicola received a message about her gran, who was in a nursing home in Llanberdrog. Her gran was quite old and everyone felt that the end was near. In the early hours of the morning, Nicola received a message which said "Nain has just died. Don't be sad. She's had a good life". Later in the morning she found out that she had received the message several minutes after her gran had passed away.   These incidents are yet more evidence suggesting that Nicola has heightened senses. Many contactees report having psychic abilities such as premonitions. So there is the possibility that she has received these through ET contact, either intentionally or as a side effect.   Conclusion   As you can see, Nicola has had many unusual experiences. It is hard to say whether they are really down to ET contact or not. She has not had any definite experiences/sightings of craft or beings. But the feelings and thoughts she has had since an early age are very intriguing and I do wonder if some of her experiences have been related to contact in some way. The incident with her glowing hands, unusual electrical activity in her home, feeling of being observed and the psychic messages she has received are of particular interest. Perhaps in time Nicola will come to understand whether these incidents really are related to an extraterrestrial presence in her life or not. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 12/12/2010 Last Updated: 24/10/2024   Sighting Details   At 1.34am on 30th November 2010, Sam Barns was in his bedroom, and looked out of the window. It was a very clear night with no clouds and the stars fully visible. To the North East he suddenly caught sight of a spherical orange coloured object with what looked like 12-13 small yellow and green lights near its centre.   He called his wife and children to also come and see the object. They watched as it moved in a zig-zag pattern across the sky. Sam estimates it was travelling between 100-200 mph. After about 45 seconds the object suddenly vanished.   Sighting Analysis   Unfortunately Sam did not wish to be contacted back by BUFOG so we have no additional information on this sighting, we do not even know where it took place. Orange spheres of light seen after dark can usually be explained by Chinese lanterns. However I find the yellow and green lights that Sam mentions very interesting, usually lanterns appear just as a fiery amber colour.   Also the zig-zagging manoeuvres that it was performing sound unusual, usually lanterns tend to drift on a straight course if caught in an air current or slowly rise if not. However perhaps it was caught in different currents travelling in different directions. The sudden disappearance of the object could have been caused by it burning out.   Without more information it is hard to say exactly what the object was, but an unusual Chinese lantern of some kind is the most likely explanation.   Copyright Dave Hodrien 2024

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Year: 2010 Last Updated: 16/10/2024   Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used   In 2010 I was contacted via E-Mail by a man who I shall name “Chris”. He wanted to know ways of recovering lost memories that did not involve hypnotic regression. He had previously experienced two incidents which he wanted to learn more about.   Unfortunately Chris did not get back to me after a couple of initial E-Mails so I only have the specific information he provided. Therefore this report is not as thorough as most. However I still feel it is good to get these incidents down on record.   Disc In The Sand   Chris has a vivid memory of a bizarre incident which he believes occurred in the summer of 1973 when he was only two years old. His family had taken him and his cousins on holiday to St Ives in Cornwall. He remembers standing on the beach and looking at a group of adults who were staring down a hole in the sand. To his recollection this hole was about 6 feet across.   He wandered between the legs of the adult’s and looked over the edge of the hole. The walls were smooth, and it was about 12 feet deep. At the bottom of it was a circular shiny metallic disc. At the time he interpreted this as a jellyfish, and thought to himself how large it was.   Chris recalls steadying himself by putting his arm out and holding the knee of a man who was standing next to him. He looked up at the man and realised it was his father. He and all the other adults appeared to be transfixed. He did not say anything or look down at him. The next thing he recalls is of sitting on a small wall at the edge of the beach with an ice cream. In front of him sitting on the sand was four or five men wearing dark blue uniforms and sunglasses. He does not remember his family or any other adults being nearby. He tried licking the ice cream but it was sandy which he didn’t like, so he stopped eating it and it started to melt and drip onto his hand. One of the men in sunglasses looked up at him and said that he was lucky that he was too young to get his head fried. When the man spoke he appeared to do so without moving his lips. This is the last thing he remembers taking place that day.   Throughout his life Chris says that neither his parents nor sister mentioned the incident for many years. However in 2008 he re-visited St Ives with his parents. While down on the beach he asked his mother where the hole in the sand was. She pointed to the edge of the sea and simply said “Over there.”  She looked like she was going to continue to speak but then something stopped her. Chris noticed she had an odd expression on her face. His father looked away and did not comment.   In early 2010 his parents came to visit him at his home in Devon and they once again decided to go out to St Ives for the day. They walked along the beach together, and Chris found the low wall which he recollects sitting on. He didn’t mention anything to them, but this further cemented it as a real experience.   On the drive back to Devon along the A390 his mother suddenly stated that when he was very young he pointed at a light in the sky and asked “Is that the UFO?”  However after saying this she seemed to become agitated so he did not press her for any further information. It became clear to him that something very strange had taken place.  The Long Walk   When Chris was about 8 years old (around 1979) he was living in Moston, Manchester. His grandmother lived just around the corner, so they would regularly walk round to visit her.   On this particular occasion they set off like usual from their home, but when they arrived it was discovered that two hours had inexplicably gone by. Chris did not state how this time difference was discovered, but it must have involved his family as well as just himself due to his young age.   Conclusions   Chris has had a couple of very intriguing experiences (and by the sound of it possibly more). The unusual set of circumstances at St Ives is truly bizarre and unlike anything I have heard before. Due to his very young age at the time it may certainly just be down to childhood imagination. Perhaps it really was a jellyfish in a depression in the sand, which he now simply remembers as a metal disc in a deeper hole. Or even some kind of circular metallic debris. Maybe someone had purposely dug a hole and then placed a jellyfish or something similar in the base of it, and adults were crowding around to take a look. Maybe he then simply forgot being taken over to the wall to get an ice cream, and the group of uniformed men may just be other holiday goers and nothing out of the ordinary.   That said, there are some unusual aspects to the incident, including the apparent depth and smoothness of the hole, the fact that all the adults present seemed to be transfixed, the outfits the group of men were wearing and his memory of one of them speaking without moving his lips. Could the object really have been something more unusual such as a small landed/crashed craft?   I do not have much detail about the later incident, but it appears that Chris and other members of his family all experienced a couple of hours of missing time. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Year: 2010 Last Updated: 15/10/2024   In 2010 I was contacted by a man from Liverpool, who I shall name “Andrew”. He informed me that he has an interest in Ufology and other alternative news and information, but also has numerous other interests. He considers himself to normal and of sound mind.   Andrew says that he believes he has had a number of visitation experiences in his childhood but the details are quite blurred now. He recollects his adult experiences in much clearer detail.   Nosebleeds   Around 1995 Andrew started to experience regular nosebleeds from his right nostril on a near daily basis. These continue to this day, although their regularity has reduced somewhat. A year after these nosebleeds began, he noticed a strange anomaly in his right nostril. It felt like there was a hole inside it. He believes this anomaly is still present, and wonders if it is the cause of the nosebleeds, and if it is related to his contact experiences in any way.   At present he has not visited his GP about it or got it X-Rayed.   Beings Visitation   Mid-way through January 2008, Andrew had a disturbing experience which he believes could have been extra-terrestrial contact. The incident occurred in his current house in the area of Aintree, Liverpool.   At the time he was sharing the property with his partner. They had had an argument earlier in the evening, something which was very uncharacteristic of them. Andrew decided to sleep downstairs in the living room on an inflatable bed. He was not particularly stressed by what had happened and felt that in the morning everything would be fine again. He fell off to sleep just after midnight.   He awoke at about 3am. There was a clattering sound like something being knocked over, and also he found that his breathing seemed faster and deeper than normal. He is not sure which of these two things woke him up. It almost felt like something else was controlling his breathing.   Andrew is a light sleeper and he was certain that he was fully awake and not dreaming. He was lying front down on the mattress with his head facing to the left. When he tried to move he found he could not, he felt completely paralyzed apart from his eyes.   Close to him to his left he could sense the presence of a being of some kind, which was either short or kneeling. He also felt that there were two other beings behind him to the right, about 5 feet away, but he could not turn to see. He could however hear them bumping into things. It was quite dark in the room, especially to his left where he perceived the short/kneeling entity to be. He felt he could make out a rough shape but it was in shadow so no details could be made out.   For an unknown reason Andrew sensed that the small figure to his left was in control and was manipulating his breathing. He looked over at the light switch and thought to himself “I’ll turn on the light switch and see who’s in here” . This was the last thing he remembered. The next thing he knew it was the morning and his alarm clock was ringing. He was puzzled by what had taken place during the night. He stood up and looked around for ten minutes, but could not find anything out of place in the room.   Bicep Marking   The following evening Andrew was brushing his teeth when he noticed in the mirror a small circular red mark above his left bicep. He had no idea where this had come from, and wondered if it was something to do with what had taken place on the previous night.  He tried touching it but it didn’t hurt.   He took a couple of photographs of it for future reference. Soon after noticing the marking, it completely faded away. Andrew wonders if it was a bruise caused by being held tightly by one of the beings, or by having an instrument used on him.   Unexplained Lump   Later in the same month Andrew found a lump behind his left ear, just behind his jaw-line. It was about the size of the tip of a ball point pen. When he pushed on it, it would not hurt, but would move around under his skin a small amount.   He is not aware of how long it remained there for, but recently he checked for it again and it was no longer present.   Although the lump could have had a medical explanation, such as a temporary cyst, there is still the possibility that it was an implant, which was then later on removed.   Conclusions   It is hard to say whether Andrew’s experiences are definitely contact-related or not. Nosebleeds are a common after effect of contact, and the anomaly he believes he can feel is intriguing, however it could have a medical explanation. As he has not visited his GP about it this is impossible to confirm at present.   The visitation is interesting, however he did not see the beings themselves. Aspects of what he has described could easily be attributed to a sleep paralysis experience rather than contact. Shadowy forms and strange sounds are often described, as is a feeling of pressure which can make it hard to breathe. It is also known that sleep paralysis is more common during periods of stress or when sleeping in an unfamiliar place, both of which would again apply. There are a number of cross-overs between sleep paralysis and contact, and it is important to remain grounded.   It’s obviously intriguing that the mark on his bicep was found directly following the incident, and the lump behind his ear also found soon afterwards, but again neither can be confirmed as artificial. The marking could have simply been a bruise from unknowingly banging his arm against something (perhaps while asleep), and the lump could again have had a natural explanation. As it was not checked for being metallic or X-Rayed, and it is no longer present, we will never know for sure. Perhaps Andrew’s childhood experiences mean that the above incidents are down to contact, but we do not have any knowledge of what happened with those currently.   Copyright Dave Hodrien 2024

He let me know about two stunning sightings he had witnessed the previous year while over in Greece where his company was operating from. These sightings appeared to be of the same or a very similar object, one which clearly displayed advanced intelligent manoeuvres.   30th August 2010 Sighting   At 1am on the 30th August 2010 Stephen was sitting out on the balcony of his house in Arkitsa, Fthiotida, Greece. It was a clear still night and the stars were visible overhead. He was having a cup of tea and looking at his neighbours three storey house across the road.   He happened to glance to his right and noticed a light in the sky. He saw a glowing sphere of white light approaching extremely rapidly. It was at least 1 km away from his position, and looked to be moving faster than 200 mph. The object continued to approach until it was right above his neighbours house. It then immediately stopped, with no deceleration visible at all!   The object appeared to be about 1 metre in diameter. It was glowing extremely brightly but had clearly defined edges and did not light up the surrounding area at all. Stephen noticed that it appeared to be rotating on the spot. It was hovering about 3 metres above the roof of the house. He got the sense that it was looking into the property and was also aware of his presence.   After about 10 seconds it started to move again, this time much slower. It followed the roofline of the property, slowly descending. It then descended down next to the house until it was about 3 metres off the ground. Then suddenly it massively increased in speed and shot away across the fields towards the mountains in the distance! It covered 2 km in about 2 seconds and was lost from sight. It moved so fast that it left a glowing line of light as it went, which was visible right to the mountains for a brief moment.   Stephen was amazed at what he had just witnessed. It was clear that the glowing sphere had been under intelligent control, and that it had visited his neighbours property for a specific reason.   November 2010 Sighting   Several months after his initial sighting, Stephen once again witnessed the same or a very similar object. Once again he was out on the balcony of his home, and this time a friend was also present. This time the object was seen in the distance above the Egnatia Road, a nearby motorway that runs alongside the mountains behind Stephen’s home. Just like last time it was seen to travel at an incredibly fast speed in excess of Mach 1, and left a trace line behind it. Due to the similarities in appearance and movement it is probable that this was either the same object, or another of the same type.   Conclusions   These sightings are both very impressive due to the manoeuvres the object was seen to perform, especially during the initial incident. It was clearly under intelligent control due to the fact that it approached then immediately stopped over the roof of the neighbouring house, then moved around the side of it before flying away. The incredible speed and acceleration that it demonstrated numerous times immediately puts out of the question the idea that it was a white LED balloon or other glowing inflatable. It is also very unlikely to have been a remote controlled model or secret military craft, for what purpose would they build a glowing spherical object and then fly it in close proximity to a residential area?   I feel there is a high chance that the object seen was an advanced craft. Spheres are one of the more commonly reported craft types, and they are often seen to glow brightly after dark in the manner described by the witness. Due to their relative small size, they are probably un-manned and used for observational purposes.   The fact that the object was seen twice in the same area within a three month period is very interesting, and tends to suggest that it had been flying around and possibly monitoring the area for a period of time, though this is just a theory. We can only speculate on why it stopped over the neighbouring household – perhaps it was specifically interested in one or more of the occupants. Perhaps it was monitoring Stephen not the neighbours at all, and just happened to stop over their home. Perhaps it was not monitoring anyone and just happened to stop in the area for another reason. It is impossible to know its real agenda, but the witness sensed that it was performing a scan of some kind.   Other than the close proximity of the initial sighting, there is not much to indicate that it was directly interacting with Stephen. It is more likely that it was flying around the area for a while and he happened to see it on two occasions.
