Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Ian Jones Release Date: 02/04/2026 Reported By: Mr Mark Pestridge The Place: Telford Close, Warley Woods, Smethwick The Sighting: Occurred on 15th August 2016 Time of Day: From 5.25pm to sunset Mark contacted BUFOG and reported a sighting he and his family had in August 2016 in the back garden of his home in Smethwick, Warley. Mark’s Report The 15th August 2016 was a Monday and they were having a barbecue in their back garden about 5.15pm. It was a bright, sunny day. While the charcoal was heating up, Mark sat in a chair to have a beer and sat facing the house and observing the sky. This is looking towards the south/south-west. By now it was about 5.25pm. Aerial view of Telford Close showing where the sighting was viewed rom and direction it was seen in He noticed a sparkling star at high altitude – he initially estimated this as around 30,000ft – the sort of height aircraft fly at. It seemed to be randomly increasing and decreasing it’s level of brightness. It was also stationary. Their tv aerial is on top of the roof and he estimated that, from the position he was sitting in, the object looked about 2 inches away from it, at a 45-degree angle. See the following photograph, with the object’s position indicated as an orange circle: Photograph of sighting location indicating position where object was situated (not it's size) Mark called for his wife to come and look at it, and she wondered whether it might be a silver balloon. It wasn’t thought to be a helicopter, because of it’s height. Mark got out his I-Pad, because he has the Star Walk app on it. This can identify over 200,000 celestial objects in the sky above the horizon – stars, planets, constellations, satellites, meteor showers, comets, asteroids, iridium flares – in real time in a particular location. This object did not show up on the Star Walk database. Now more curious than ever, Mark went to get his Celestron 76LCM reflector telescope and fitted the 25mm eye-piece. He was able to line it up with the object and with this extra magnification saw 2 sparkling lights side-by-side. Photograph of telescope He asked his children if they wanted to look at it through the telescope and they were keen to do that, but this produced a surprise. The object looked different, as a result of the higher magnification it gave. His first child said they saw 3 lights sparkling, the second said they saw 4 lights horizontally, side-by-side. His wife then looked and saw 2 lights vertically. Mark then looked again and saw 3 lights vertically. Mark then put a second, 9mm eye-piece onto the telescope. With this the object appeared to be rotating, surrounded by what he describes as a heat-distortion effect, like how the air shimmers from a car’s metal surface on a hot summer’s day and thinks perhaps this was an anti-gravity effect. Photograph of telescope eye pieces He estimates it was the size of a conventional aircraft’s cockpit and it resembled the Trimaxion Drone Ship seen in the film Flight of the Navigator (1986). He describes that around it’s underside it had raised, curved edges, similar to an oyster-type ice-cream wafer shell. Movie still of the craft from Flight Of The Navigator He took a picture of it with his wife’s 2013 Nokia phone camera, but couldn’t see anything clearly. They then had the barbecue, following which Mark had to go out. That was at 6:45pm and the object was still in the same place. The tv aerial is on top of the roof and he estimated that, from where he was sat down, it looked about 2 inches away from the aerial at an angle of 45 degrees. See the photo below, where Mark has put different coloured circles to show the 3 different positions of the object. Mark was back home by 8pm, went into the garden, and sat in the same chair. He looked up to see whether the object was still there. It was, but it had moved. It was now above a house about 4 doors down – indicated by the red circle. This was approximately 24-26 inches away from it’s first position, relative to the aerial on their house. He saw it brighten up and dim down, then it disappeared from this second position. Suddenly, within about 2 seconds, he saw it re-appear in a third position – indicated by the green circle. This was a point roughly half-way back toward it’s first-observed position (approximately 12-14 inches). That was the only time Mark saw it move. It was still brightening and dimming. Then it was disappearing and reappearing, without moving and remained there until the sun set, which was at 8.53pm. Then it was not visible. Mark’s wife also observed this. Altogether the object was visible for at least 3.5 hours. Photograph of sighting location indicating how object moved over 3.5 hours (not its size) After the Sighting Mark spent some time observing aircraft flying over their house, to see how long they took to cover the same distance as the object had when it moved from it’s first observed position to it’s last one (2 seconds). He then worked out approximately how fast they were travelling, on average. Mark has averaged their time as taking 22-25 seconds to cover this distance. Obviously, such calculations can only be indicative and have no claim to be precise, but clearly the object moved much faster than any aircraft. Mark estimated that it’s speed was in the region of 6,000 mph. Discussion Mark lives about a mile from the centre of Smethwick and 4 miles west of Birmingham. There had been no rain that day, it was calm, sunny, with temperatures around 24 degrees at 18.00 and 15 degrees at midnight. Cloud cover was 2% at 18.00 and 1% at 9pm. Steady wind conditions were around 13-15 kph all afternoon. So, no lightening- or plasma-related event, was what was seen. The nearest civilian airports are some distance away from where Mark lives: Birmingham International Airport is about 11 miles away, to the East Halfpenny Green (Bobbington) airport is about 16 miles to the West Coventry airport is about 23 miles away, to the South-East East Midlands airport is about 37 miles away, to the North-East It is not likely that an aircraft going to/from an airport would explain the sighting. Military airports are even further away: RAF Cosford is about 20 miles away to the North-West RAF Shawbury is about 45 miles to the North-West RAF Brize-Norton is about 65 miles to the South None of these is a likely source of the object, with visibility being about 10 miles all afternoon. Helicopters do not have the characteristics observed by Mark and his family. They do not hover at such heights for so long, their navigation lights are different colours and blink in a regular pattern. Some form of balloon or dirigible does not fit the appearance of the object and would not be able to stay stationary for so long, given that there was a constant wind speed of around 13-15 kph all evening, blowing from the South-East. It does not seem to have been anything astronomical. At 6pm the sun was about 20 degrees above the horizon. Sunset was about 8:31pm. The Moon was nearly full and rose at 6:31pm in the South-East, but it’s highest point was only 20 degrees above the horizon, which it reached at 11pm, so the timing is all wrong and the Moon would have been hidden behind their house during this sighting period. Given that the sighting happened in the early evening, the sky would not have become very dark until after 9pm when the object disappeared, so stars and other celestial objects would not be easy to see yet. There were no bright planets visible in this section of the sky. There was the Perseids meteor shower during this part of August, but it was best viewed from 1am through to dawn. Also, meteors move fast in a straight line and leave trails. They are only visible for seconds. Satellites also move in straight lines and they do not remain stationary, or make horizontal reverse manoeuvres, so rule out, for example, Starlink. The Space Station can appear similar to an airplane or a very bright star moving across the night sky, except it does not have flashing lights or change direction. It probably wouldn’t have been dark enough to see such artificial objects until after 9pm anyway. Some sort of laser display seems unlikely, because there were few clouds to reflect the light and no laser beam was seen coming up from the ground. Also, as far as I have been able to research, there doesn’t seem to have been any public events in Smethwick, or the wider area, that would have involved a laser display in August 2016. In the local area, there is some higher land and parks, including Dudley Castle and Wren’s Nest about 5 miles away, but these are all to the North-West of where Mark lives, which is in the opposite direction to where he saw this object. To the South-East there is Warley Woods Country Park and Golf Course and Lightwoods Park, beyond those is the Hagley Road West (A456). Then there’s Harborne and the University of Birmingham. Harborne Hospital does have a helicopter landing pad, but it wasn’t a helicopter operating to/from there, because it was not seen ascending, or descending and was stationary for too long. Drones were being used in 2016, but were not as common as they are now. Drones do not reach the sort of height that Mark describes, nor do they remain stationary for so long – several hours in this case. This also rules out police-controlled drones which could have been conducting ground-based searches. Given that the object was observed behind their house, at a high altitude, nothing related to this landscape would be an explanation of what was seen. Details of the Observations Made The object was observed for some time with the naked eye by 4 people. Then, two of them saw it with the telescope once, with the first lens in. Mark and his wife saw it through the telescope twice, with the different lenses in. Note that the 9mm lens is a higher magnification than the 25mm lens. 9mm lens: It gives better details of the image, but the image appears darker, dimmer and more subject to atmospheric turbulence. 25mm lens: Easier to locate objects, because of it’s wider field. Gives a steadier, larger, brighter image, especially on poor seeing nights. It was a good night for seeing things, so both lenses were good to use. Mark saw it first as a sparkling star, or silver dot randomly varying in brightness. With the first eye-piece (25mm) he saw 2 sparkling lights side-by-side. With the second eye-piece (9mm) he saw a rotating/shimmering, silver-coloured object. Mark says “Every time my kids saw the three lights and four lights I checked as well and saw the same.” 1st Child -Three sparkling lights side-by-side. 2nd Child - Four sparkling lights side-by-side. Wife - Saw two vertical sparkling lights on each viewing. Analysis The fact that the object was visible for so long in the same part of the sky rules out all conventional, man-made objects and many astronomical objects, such as shooting stars. It was seen by 4 people independently, with naked eyes so was clearly visible, and then each person also saw it through a telescope. Mark and his wife saw it through telescope lenses of different magnification. Mark also saw it through a mobile phone camera lens. So, it was likely a solid object, described as having raised curved edges, which was rotating. This caused it to vary in appearance as the sunlight reflected unevenly off the curved edges. It’s sudden high-speed horizontal movement and reverse manoeuvre, as illustrated in the diagram with 3 circles, is most unusual and defies explanation. This must be an example of an unidentified aerial phenomenon (UAP), unless more information becomes available and helps to decide otherwise. Historical Sightings In The Area? Mark did research other reports of sightings in the area. There were several in 2016. On 8th August 2016 one witness saw a large silent triangular UFO with flashing lights move at a fast speed across the sky. This was reported on the UK UFO website (no longer available) On 11th / 18th June 2016 at around 10:10pm less than 2 km from Mark's house a large stationary orb which glowed a variety of colours was observed and photographed. This case was previously investigated by Birmingham UFO Group. The case report can be read here . On 7th September 2015 on Laundry Road several objects were reported making a vertical ascent. The observer stated: “I thought was a Jumbo jet at first, but strangely this object flew straight upwards like a rocket, and with no sound. There were actually 3 of these objects altogether, one after the other, also a aeroplane followed closely afterwards in the other direction.” In Spring / Summer 1978 a couple sighted a grey disc-shaped craft with a line of multicoloured lights around it. This was again investigated by BUFOG, click here to go to the report. In June 1964 a formation of grey circular UFOs were observed one afternoon. Click here for the report on this historic incident and other sightings around Smethwick. A West Midlands Police FOI request, published in October 2024, gave the following information about reports they had received since February 2015. They are brief notes based on phone-calls people have made to the police. No other details, such as contact numbers are included. December 2016: CALLER REPORTING THAT FOR THE LAST HOUR THERE HAS BEEN A BRIGHT LIGHT HOVERING IN THE SKY AROUND BELOW ROAD AND ABOVE THE TRAIN TRACKS. EVERY SO OFTEN IT WOULD MOVE BACK AND FORTH . NO SOUNDS LIKE ROTORS ETC. Location: Birmingham West One in Wolverhampton, similar to Mark’s, about a year later: 2017 August THERE IS A BRIGHT WHITE LIGHT AND ITS NOT MOVING HAD THOUGHT IT WAS A PLANE BUT ITS NOT MOVING BEEN THERE FOR AN HOUR- SHE HAS FILMED AND TAKEN PHOTOS OF IT. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Year: 2021 Last Updated: 29/03/2026   Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used   In October 2021 I was contacted by a nurse from Ombersley, near Stourport, who I shall name “Marie”. She wanted to discuss various experiences she has had throughout her life. I arranged an extensive Facebook Messenger video call to go over what has taken place.   Timelines   In 1971 when she was 6 years old she was out walking through Kidderminster with her family (she cannot recall where). As she walked along the street she could suddenly see on one side of the street old fashioned housing and ladies wearing what appeared to be Victorian dresses. When she looked on the other side of the street she saw men wearing silver coloured suits. It was as if she was seeing both past and future at the same time, like both had bled into the present for a short period of time.   This phenomenon is what is commonly referred to as a “time slip”, although it is very rare to see multiple different times at once. She did not tell her mother “Sarah” what she could see, back then it felt like this was completely normal. It was only later when she discussed her experiences that she realised this was anything but.   Coloured Auras   Marie claims to be able to have been able to sometimes see glowing coloured auras around people since a very early age, which sometimes relate to their emotional state.   An example from her childhood which she discussed with me occurred in the early 1970s when she was around 6 years old. She and her mum “Sarah” were out walking in Kidderminster. They were walking Eastward along Offmore Road.   Aerial map of Offmore Road   A man was walking towards them. As they were holding hands and the pavement was not particularly wide the man started to shift from side to side wondering how to get past. In the end they came to a halt facing one another. Everyone saw the lighter side of the situation and started to laugh.   Photograph of Offmore Road  Marie began to see bubbles of colourful energy all around the body of the man. They seemed more prominent around his upper half. She viewed this as being able to visualize the joyfulness coming from the man. She was not frightened, it was really uplifting.   Around age 11 Marie started at a new school. She was listening to the teacher as he walked across the classroom. As he walked she could see a bright blue glow emanating from his body. Initially she wondered if it was a trick of the light, but it remained as he moved around to different parts of the room. She was absolutely fascinated.   At that time in her life she was living with “Claire”, a friend of her mothers who was a medium. That evening she told her what had happened. Claire informed her that what she was seeing was the etheric body, believed by some to be the first layer in the human energy field.   Marie began to interpret different colours as different emotions. She would tell her friends how they were feeling. When they asked her how she knew this, she would let them know that she could see it.   One day a girl was walking towards her who appeared to have a rosy pink haze all around her. Marie said to her “Oooo you look like you’re in love!”  The girl looked at her shocked. She informed Marie that a boy that she had been interested in for ages had just asked her out.   OBEs For a period of several months, in either the following year or the year after, Marie claims that she would be able to consciously bring on out-of-body experiences at will.   After this she lost the ability to initiate it directly, but it would still sometimes happen naturally when she was either lying in bed or meditating.   The last time it happened was when she was in a meditation group around age 15. She tumbled out of her physical body and floated up above the roof of the house. She looked down at her house and up at the stars.   Disc Encounter One day when she was around 9-10 years old she was playing with her younger brother “Lee” in the back garden of their terraced house in Kidderminster. It was a sunny and dry day with some light cloud, but a chill in the air. Lee was further down the garden, about 20 feet from her. Suddenly she had a very ominous feeling like something was about to happen. She then heard a low humming noise which made the hairs on the back of her neck stand up. She looked up into the sky to find the source of this strange sound.   Hovering right over her brother was a disc-shaped object. It was about 25 feet in diameter, and a grey-silver colour. In the centre of the base was a circular section, possibly a door. On the top was a low dome shape. Around the central rim of the object was rotating red, white and green coloured lights which were blinking on and off.   The UFO hovered completely still in the air. Lee had also noticed the object and was looking directly up at it. They stood there staring for what felt to be about a minute. The next thing Marie became aware of was Sarah running down the garden. She grabbed hold of Lee, ran back towards her, grabbed hold of her too, and shouted “Get in the house!”     She pulled them both back inside the back door, slammed and locked the door. Both she and Lee were awestruck by what had happened, but Sarah was terrified. Lee ran upstairs out of sight.   After a minute or so Sarah and Marie headed upstairs to go and see if he was alright. They found him standing by the window of his bedroom and waving. The UFO was still there hovering over the back garden. Lee said that he could see some portholes with figures inside the windows, and that one of them had waved back at him.   Sarah was really cross and shouted “Get away from the window!”  She took them both downstairs, out of the front door of the house and across the road to where their grandparents lived. Marie’s grandfather “Derek” opened the door. Still frightened, Sarah informed him of what had just taken place.   They looked up and saw that the disc had followed them across the road and was now positioned half over the roof! They quickly all headed inside. Marie does not believe her grandfather had seen it properly as he told them to not be silly and said that it must be a helicopter. Agitated by this suggestion Sarah said to him “Don’t be ridiculous, how can it be a helicopter?”   They did not see the UFO after this. When they finally headed back outside it was nowhere in sight. They did not talk about the incident much afterwards. However, Marie does recall that there were some reports about UFO sightings in the local newspaper. Sadly she did not keep the articles, and without a precise date it would be extremely challenging to attempt to track them down.   Several years later Marie and Lee decided to tell their cousins about the sighting. They decided at this stage to independently draw the object. When they checked they saw that the two drawings were identical. This felt like confirmation that it had taken place as they remembered it. Messages From Beyond   When Marie was 17 she was around her boyfriend “Stuart’s” house for Christmas with his family. They were all sitting together in the living room. She was sitting on the sofa. All of a sudden out of the corner of her eye she saw a glowing light.   Looking across the room she saw a small Christmas card on a shelf. The card looked like it had glowing light emanating from it. As her attention was drawn to it she got a vision of the card really close to her face for a brief moment. She thought to herself “Ok, who’s that card from?”   She pointed out the card to Stuart and asked him. He said to her “That card’s from grandmother.”  Marie responded saying “I thought your gran had died?” Stuart explained that this was the last card she ever sent his mother “Jenny”, so every year since she would put it there in memory of her.   Armed with this information Marie closed her eyes and relaxed. In her mind she asked whether there was a particular reason the card had been brought to her attention. Immediately she felt a warm sensation of peace and love wash over her. Tears began to roll down her cheeks.   She then saw the vision of an elderly lady’s face in her mind really close in front of her. The lady had curled grey coloured hair, pale blue eyes and a hooked narrow nose. She had never met Stuart’s grandmother but assumed that this must be her. In her mind she said “Oh hello!”  Excitedly the lady responded saying “I’ve got through! I’ve got through! Tell Jenny I’m alright, I promised I’d let her know.”  Marie agreed to this request. She then got an impression that she was sitting in the chair alongside the sofa. She immediately sensed that this had been her favourite chair. She asked Stuart “Did your gran have a favourite chair in the room?”  He asked her why, puzzled by the smile on her face and tears on her cheeks. Pointing at the chair, Marie said “Did your nan used to sit in this chair here?”  Stuart said “Yeah! Whenever she came over she would sit in that chair!”   Marie went on to explain the vision of the lady she’d got and what she’d been told. Stuart said “You’d better come and tell mum.”  They went and found her. Marie said “I don’t want to scare you. I’ve just had a message. I believe it’s from your mum!”  She told Jenny what the lady had said. Shocked, she just exclaimed “Good god!”  Jenny then explained that she had a pact with her mother, that whoever died first would try to come back and let the other know they are alright.   Marie described what the lady had looked like. Jenny informed her that this is was her mother. She then went and got some photographs of her for Marie to see. Sure enough, it was her she had seen in her mind!   On another occasion Marie was looking to purchase a house in Gloucester. She decided to go to visit a particular housing estate to take a look at the properties there. When she arrived at the estate she had familiar feeling of being connected with the area, even though she had never been there before. For an unknown reason she felt a compulsion to walk a particular direction, almost like a magnetic pull. She walked around a corner and noticed an estate agent. Heading inside, a lady came out of the back room. There were no other customers at the time. Marie said “I’m just killing a bit of time, do you mind if I hover around here and have a look?”   The lady was fine with this and even offered to make her a cup of coffee. When she came back out with the drinks, Marie went and sat down facing her. Behind her was a plain grey coloured wall. They began chatting. All of a sudden she saw a glowing pinprick of white light above the lady’s right shoulder. It grew in intensity like a flash. This was not the first time she’d seen this. She knew that it meant someone wanted to get through from the other side.   She could have said nothing, but instead decided to act on it. She said to the lady “Look I know I’ve only just met you. Do you believe in anything spiritual?”  Surprised by the question the lady responded “Oh that’s really strange you should say that. A long time ago I would have said no. But I had a really strange experience recently which changed my mind!”  Marie said “I don’t want to freak you out but I feel there’s someone trying to connect with you on a spirit level.”   Marie sensed that the spirit was male. She said to the lady “It’s a male energy, but very gentle. I’m seeing the colour baby blue. The letter J. Six months ago.”  The lady’s face suddenly looked shocked. She informed Marie that her daughter had lost a baby boy six months ago, and she had nicknamed him J for Junior. She started to cry.   Marie sensed that the spirit needed to connect with this lady, and had made a very strong link with her. She informed the lady that he’s going to grow up and stay connected with her and her daughter. The lady could barely believe what she was being told. She was crying but happy at the same time.   Dreams   Soon after her encounter with the UFO Marie began to have some very vivid dreams which appeared related.   In one she was near the top of a grass-covered hill. She peered over the ridge and lower down on the other side was a landed craft with beings outside it. They were wearing silvery-white coloured body suits.   One of them appeared to sense Marie looking at them and glanced up at her. She thought to herself “Oh my god, they’ve seen me!”  She crouched back down out of sight. Suddenly the being appeared right next to her. This was the last thing she recollected.   In another dream she was crouching in a hall with a lot of other people. Everyone was really frightened so keeping low to the floor. At the front of the hall stood a number of alien beings. They had large eyes and were wearing black coloured body suits covered in a mesh like texture.   Marie could feel the beings scanning the room in an attempt to find humans who were receptive to them. She felt a magnetic pull towards them which felt really ominous and made her heart beat fast. Nobody else stood up. Even though she was scared she felt a pull in her mind to stand up.   In the end she decided that the beings were not there to harm her so gave in and approached them. The beings led her into an adjoining room of some kind. This was where the dream ended.   While Marie cannot relate either of these dreams to real locations which she was aware of, it is possible that aspects of them were flashbacks to things which she had experienced. It does seem perhaps too coincidental that these occurred following the sighting of the disc.   Meditative Vision   Around 2011 Marie would meet up regularly with a group of other like-minded people in Ombersley to meditate. One of her friends at the group claimed to be in contact with ETs through their mediation. Marie decided to open herself up to the possibility of potentially linking with them too.   She sank into a peaceful state and welcomed them to make contact. Suddenly she saw the face of a Grey in front of her with large dark eyes. Initially she was frightened of the presence of this being. She then heard a voice inside her mind seemingly from it not her. It said that her fear was produced by chemicals and pollution. That what we put into our bodies is poisoning and creating a screen through which we look at the world.   She then saw a vision of the being again a little further away from her. It was quite short in height, had a large head but skinny body. She sensed pure love coming from its eyes. It wanted to express that they are trying to help. In her mind Marie asked “Who are you?”  The being replied “Arshan.” It then explained that it would like to work with her to strengthen her mental focus. Marie was taken aback by this and said “Ok, thank you!”  With this the vision faded.   Since this incident occasionally Marie had got a feeling that the being is linking with her while she is in a meditative state.   How you view these claims will depend entirely on whether you believe mediation can be a method of communicating with non-human beings. There is obviously no proof beyond what Marie claims to have taken place, nor any proof that it is genuine contact. But I have dealt with a number of cases over the years where people claim to have met beings while meditating.   Conclusions   Marie appears to possess a number of sixth sense abilities. Psychic abilities like these are commonly mentioned by experiencers, and there is a definite link with contact, although exactly what that link is has not yet been conclusively proved.   The UFO sighting that Marie and her family had is impressive and certainly seemed to be an advanced craft as opposed to mis-identification of something mundane, and the fact that it was followed by numerous vivid dreams is intriguing and suggests that more may have occurred than she can currently recollect.   This case appears to be ongoing, and it is great to see that Marie appears to have moved past her initial fears. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave HodrienRelease Year: 2021 Last Updated: 26/03/2026   Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used   On 12 th  September 2021 “Lucy” and her husband were out dowsing a leyline at Meon Hill, an Iron Age hill fort in Warwickshire. It was 1:30pm and a warm and dry day with patchy clouds in the sky. As they dowsed they took some photographs.   Aerial map of Meon Hill They saw nothing at the time but later on when checking the photos they noticed an unusual object in the sky. Here are the photographs taken:   Zoomed picture of the object:   Zoomed picture with edge find:   The final photograph in the sequence indicates that the object is no longer present:   Unfortunately the method used to send me the photographs means that the metadata has been lost. However, I have no reason to doubt they are authentic.   The object resembles a black oval ring (or circular ring viewed at an angle). The witness states that the photographs show it at different positions in the sky, indicating it was climbing. However, after examining the images I do not agree with this statement. The positioning of the object within the frame of the pictures remains the same, it is the angle the camera was held at which changes, giving the illusion of it rising.   There is also no indication of exactly how far away from the lens the object actually is. The object does not change position in frame or shape in any way across the photographs. It is not necessarily an object in the distance at all, it could be a tiny object actually on the camera lens, such as a tiny piece of vegetation or other airborne debris. This would explain why neither Lucy nor her husband noticed anything in the sky at the time. It does not look like an insect so I believe this can be discounted.   It is correct that it has vanished in the final photograph, but perhaps it was only stuck to the camera lens for a short while before falling off, or even being wiped off by Lucy’s husband.   I believe that this is the most likely explanation for the photographs and therefore consider this case closed.   Copyright Dave Hodrien 2026

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Year: 2021 Last Updated: 10/03/2026   Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used   “Hannah” first got in touch with me in early 2021 to discuss vivid dreams and other experiences she has had over the years. She wanted to find answers to what had taken place and hear my thoughts. We went over everything via Facebook Messenger. Unfortunately, after our initial chat communication ceased so there are some gaps regarding what is known.   Spinning   In her childhood Hannah lived with her parents and older sister “Rebecca” on Newbury Street, Wolverhampton.   Aerial map of Newbury Road On numerous occasions when she was young she would sometimes feel like the room was revolving as she was lying down in bed and in the process of dropping off to sleep. It would make her feel nauseous and giddy.   In the morning when she woke up this nausea would remain, and she would also feel drained of energy. It would also feel like she had been somewhere else, but she could never recall any details.   As she got older, these incidents appeared to cease. However, on 19 th January 2021 it randomly happened again.   While these experiences could be interpreted as abductions removed from Hannah’s mind, they could possibly just have a medical explanation. There are a number of conditions which can create the feeling of the room spinning while lying down, including Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV).   Ceiling Entity   One evening in 2011 when she was 10 years old she decided to head upstairs around 10pm. As she reached the landing she looked up and was shocked to see what appeared to be the black silhouette of a long haired head coming down out of the ceiling. It looked like a woman hanging upside-down, but no facial features were visible.   Hannah turned around and ran back downstairs thinking to herself “What the hell did I just see?”  She called her parents and informed them she’d just seen a spirit dangling from the ceiling. They told her it was probably just in her mind and made her go back upstairs to her room. She was frightened but obeyed their request. When she headed back upstairs the shadowy form was no longer present.   It is possible that the entity was an unusual shadow cast from something which Hannah mistook for the silhouette of a lady. She only saw it the once and was only 10 at the time. That said, the idea that it was a genuine spirit of some kind cannot be ruled out entirely.   Footsteps   In February 2019 Hannah moved with her family to a house on Mc Farland’s Down on the Isles of Scilly.   Aerial map of Mc Farland's Down   For the first 6 months nothing unusual took place at the address. However, in September Hannah began to regularly hear the sound of footsteps, roughly three times a week. Most of the time she would hear them in the early hours of the morning between 3-4am.   One night she was lying on her side in her bed facing away from the room. She suddenly heard footsteps walking towards her across the floor. She was too scared to roll over and look. A moment later she suddenly found she was paralyzed. After several seconds she blacked out. The next thing she became aware of it was morning time.   On another occasion she was sitting in her room chatting to a friend on her mobile phone. Like before she heard what sounded like footsteps moving towards her. She glanced up from her phone but there was nothing visible.   Sighting & Visitation   Hannah informed me that the full moon tends to cause her to feel more energetic and hyperactive than usual. One dry and still night in late March 2020 at midnight she headed out to the back garden to look up at the moon. It was a bit cold but a very clear sky.   While standing out there she happened to look directly overhead. She was amazed to see several grey coloured disc-shaped objects hovering directly over her. Each had a red light in its base. They were completely stationary.   Hannah thought to herself “That’s quite odd!”  The presence of the objects excited her. She started at them for around 5 minutes, although it seemed a lot longer at the time. She had left her mobile phone in the house at the time so could not attempt to photograph or video them.   After this time, she decided to run inside and get her parents to come and see them. When they all headed back outside a minute later the objects had sadly disappeared. They went back inside, and Hannah decided to go to bed.   About 10 minutes later she had not yet dropped off and was lying awake but with her eyes closed. Suddenly she felt a presence in the room near to her. When she opened her eyes she saw three Grey beings. Two were standing alongside her bed. The third was over by the bedroom door. All of them wear wearing black coloured suits. They had large black almond-shaped eyes. One of the two beings close to her was holding a syringe in its hand.   As with previous experiences she found she could not move. She thought to herself “What’s going on here?”  A moment later she felt a sudden pain on her left wrist which felt like a needle injection. She then felt a spinning sensation and blacked out.   When she came round she was waking up around 8am. Hannah says that she would not usually wake up this early. She felt nauseous and had a headache.   Hannah remembered what had happened during the night. She found two small red dots on her left wrist. She also found a small red sore patch on her thigh which had several darker red dots within it. One of these dots looked very reflective, almost like it had metal in it. She was particularly intrigued by this marking so took two photographs of it:   Hannah was convinced that these markings had not been on her the previous evening. By the following day the marking on her thigh had completely vanished. However, the dots on her left wrist remained. Over time they have faded and became less red in colour, but are still visible today (The two most right marks): Unlike her previous experiences what happened here clearly has links with contact. The fact that the UFOs were observed hovering directly overhead means they were likely to have been there intentionally. It seems extremely probable that the Greys she saw in her room were the occupants of the disc-shaped objects she had seen while standing in the back garden.   While none of the markings can be confirmed as injuries from this visitation, the fact that she saw a syringe in one of the Grey’s hands, then felt a sharp pain in her left wrist, and the following morning found two red dots that looked like needle marks which left permanent scars should not be overlooked.   Further Paranormal Activity   Within weeks of the visitation experience Hannah was relaxing in the living room one afternoon by herself. She suddenly had the urge to take a photograph of the open living room door for an unknown reason. When she checked her iPhone she saw a dark shape in the doorway which she interprets as a figure:   On another evening Hannah’s friend had visited her for dinner. They were eating at the kitchen table when suddenly a plastic plate fell off the drainer by the sink onto the floor. When they heard the sound it made them both jump. There was seemingly no reason for why it would have fallen.   The following day one of her mother’s friends came over to spend the night. Her mother had offered her the bed in her sister’s room, as she was away from home at the time. When they went into the room to show her the view from the window, a light on top of the wardrobe fell off by itself. Hannah says that the wardrobe was very heavy, and it is unlikely that vibrations of them walking would have caused the lamp to fall.   While some of these incidents could be paranormal in nature, it is possible that the objects Hannah describes moving merely fell of their own accord due to positioning. Also the photograph she took is far from conclusive, and the figure could just be down to what is known as paraedolia, the tendency to make recognisable things out of random patterns of light and dark.   Female Voices   One night in the summer of 2020 Hannah had gone to bed and was in a semi-awake state. Suddenly she felt something brush against her which felt like someone stroking her hair. At the same time she heard what sounded like a young female voice say “It’s ok, it’s going to be ok.”  A moment later, just like when she had heard the footsteps she realised she could not move, and then soon blacked out.   About a week later she was lying awake in bed around 11pm when for an unknown reason she suddenly felt compelled to open the front door of the house. She got up out of bed, walked downstairs and opened the door. Due to the time of evening it was fully dark outside.   When she did she heard a female voice say “Hey!”  The voice sounded like it had come from the bushes outside. Confused by the voice she walked up to the bushes and searched them, but there was nothing there. This un-nerved her and she headed back inside.   Shadow Beings   In December 2020 the paranormal activity in her home seemed to get more pronounced. On several occasions she saw a shadowy figure wearing a top hat, both in her bedroom and on the landing. On these incidents she would feel oppressed and threatened by it.   On one of these occasions she was lying in bed around 11pm. The room lights were off and she felt relaxed. Her eyes were wandering around the room. Suddenly she spotted the figure. It was about 7 feet tall and looked like it was wearing a hop hat. It also had red glowing eyes. The entity stood still, staring at her. It was standing by the bedroom door. At the same time, as with previous occasions she realised she could not move.   Soon she dropped off to sleep. She then had a nightmare where it approached her, making her feel a little nauseous.   In the morning her boyfriend on the mainland, “Paul”, contacted her via phone. He informed her that he had dreamt of a “black mass” and having a nose bleed during the night! Hannah then told him what she recalled seeing.   Abduction Flashbacks   In mid-January 2021 Hannah had what she describes as a “very vivid nightmare”. She said that it different to a normal dream, much more real. She awoke at around 3am feeling like she had been somewhere else but couldn’t remember clearly where. Her stomach and left shoulder ached.   When she thought back to what had happened she recollected lying awake in her bed and then suddenly feeling like she couldn’t move. She tried screaming but no sound came out. She then blacked out.   Her next recollection was the feeling of a hard flat surface below her. There was a sharp pain in her lower stomach area which felt like she was being prodded by a rod of some kind. There was also a pressure in her left shoulder blade like something was inside it.   Despite these strange memories she managed to drop back off to sleep. She now recalled things much more vividly. She was standing in another location with really bright lights all around her.   In front of her stood five Grey beings. They were all about 4.5 feet in height and were wearing grey coloured body suits. They had pale grey coloured smooth skin and large black almond-shaped eyes. They had thin slits for mouths. No ears were visible. One of the beings was standing very close to her, only a foot away. The others were a little further back. They were all staring at her. She was transfixed by their eyes.   She then looked down and realised she was holding a baby girl. She did not appear to be fully human. She had pale grey coloured skin with black eyes, a small nose and really small ears. Her hair was blonde in colour and quite thick. She was wrapped in a grey coloured cloth. By this stage in her life Hannah had looked into the contact phenomenon and knew that this was a hybrid.   Hannah sensed that this baby was hers. She is not sure how she knew this. She felt proud but confused at the same time. Her next conscious recollection was of waking up in the morning around 8am.   Later in the day, around 3pm, some further memories returned as a vivid flashback. She recalled staring into the eyes of the Grey that was standing close to her. She then had a vision in her mind of a future Earth which was in the process of being destroyed by natural disasters including floods and fires. She sensed that it was trying to warn her that if we didn’t change our ways then this would come to pass. It frightened her because she is quite protective of the environment.   Several days later another flashback occurred. She recalled being aboard another craft which was white with a dim light level. She was lying down. There were three female Nordic beings standing around her. They had pale pink skin and blue eyes. All three were wearing blue coloured body suits. One of them had long blonde hair, one short blonde hair and the other short brown hair.   Hannah sensed that the beings were there to protect her. They felt like family to her. The beings then spoke with her telepathically, informing her that they were the Pleidians. Hannah felt that they were unaware that she had already looked into them and knew who they were.   The Nordics informed her that they were going to heal her. She was confused by this statement as she did not feel like she was hurt. She then saw a vision in her mind of the outside of the craft. They appeared to be flying in Earth’s atmosphere at high altitude above the cloud layer. Behind the craft was a second one. Hannah sensed that this contained Greys, and that the Nordics had rescued her from them.   The vision ended and she found herself back on board staring at the Nordic beings. One of them put their hands over her body. The next moment she blacked out. This was where the flashback ended.   Often when experiencers recollect contact experiences the memories return as vivid nightmares or day-time flashbacks. It is possible that what Hannah recollected had actually taken place, especially as the memories felt different to remembering a normal dream. I have dealt with numerous cases before where people have been given hybrid babies to hold, babies which they either sense or are directly told are theirs. I have also dealt with numerous cases where the Greys have shown people visions or images of the destruction of the planet.   However, there are some aspects which may seem hard to believe, for example the supposed rescue of her from the Greys. I have investigated many cases where Nordics and Greys have been observed co-operating with one another towards common agendas, so why in this circumstance would they have felt the need to rescue her from them on this occasion? It is also worth remembering that Hannah had looked into the contact subject so there is the possibility that this experience was just a dream, or was a mix of real and dreamed elements.   White Orbs   On 6 th  February 2021 Hannah woke up around 6:30am. The sun had not yet com up. She decided to video call Paul via Skype on her mobile phone.   After chatting with him she looked out of her bedroom window. She was astonished to see a cluster of small white glowing orbs. Immediately she thought to herself “Oh my gosh, what is happening?”   The orbs were travelling together to the South. There was about 10 of them. They were clustered together but were not all moving at the same speed. Some of them were zig-zagging back and forth. Hannah opened the bedroom window then watched the for about 2 minutes until they vanished into the distance. As she observed them she turned her phone around and showed them to Paul too. After the objects had vanished she decided to go back to sleep for a while.   The orbs were the wrong colour for a group of sky lanterns. These tend to be orange coloured rather than white. A launch of white LED balloons or flight of drones with white lights cannot be ruled out, although it seems improbable that someone would launch lit balloons or drones at 6:30am in such a remote location.   I asked Hannah if she felt the orbs could have been a flock of birds reflecting lights from the ground. She informed me there are no street lights in her local neighbourhood, and they were moving different to birds. Despite this, I feel that birds reflecting moonlight or ground lighting cannot be fully ruled out.   Electrical Interference   Later in the month there were numerous occasions where electrical disturbances appeared to go on. The television set in her room started to turn on or off by itself.   She also owns an electromagnetic reader which is supposed to detect proximity of electricity. Despite owning this for two years with no issues, it started to beep of its own accord at night time, suggesting something electrical was nearby.   On one occasion while talking with Paul on Skype her hairdryer lying under her bed on the other side of the bedroom switched on by itself, frightening them both!   Conclusions   Hannah has had some intriguing experiences. Many of them have not been directly linked with contact, although many experiencers report witnessing paranormal incidents like what she has reported here. Some of what she has experienced may certainly be down to side effects of sleep paralysis or vivid dreams. That said she has experienced after effects from some of these incidents including visible markings and lasting pain. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 03/03/2026 Last Updated: 05/03/2026  Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used I was initially contacted by "Julie" in early 2025. She informed me she had been recommended to speak with me by another experiencer who’s case I had previously investigated. She provided a very brief overview of some of her own experiences which went right back to her childhood. I went back to her with some initial questions, to which she responded.   However, following this, due to life getting in the way, it wouldn’t be until much later in the year that we got back in touch and spoke in depth about what has taken place over numerous video calls.   This extensive case report is the end product of these discussions.   Girl on the Back Seat   Julie believes that since a very early age she has possessed innate psychic abilities which have manifested in various ways. She has been informed by her mother "Tara" that she started speaking from about 6 months, and that sometimes she would say words that Tara was thinking.   Her first truly unusual experience is one which she cannot consciously recollect, but one which Tara has told her about. Julie was born in 1975. In the early years of her life she lived with Tara and her father "Martin" in a house in Ryton, a hamlet in Gloucestershire.   Aerial map of Ryton At the time Martin was a lorry driver. He used to set off from Ledbury 3 miles to the North North West. Tara used to drop him off early in the morning, bringing Julie along for the ride in a child seat in the back. The route would take them along Ledbury Road (A417) through Parkway. Aerial map indicating Ledbury (A), Parkway (B) and Ryton (C) One morning between late 1977 - early 1978 around 4:15am they were driving back home after dropping Martin off. Jul,ie was wide awake on the back seat of the car. As they approached the brow of the hill at Parkway according to Tara she began to get upset and began shouting and crying.   Aerial map of Parkway   Photograph of the brow of the hill Tara asked her what was wrong. Julie exclaimed “The little girl who lives here keeps being nasty to me! She’s being horrible to me!”  Of course there was no-one else in the car at the time, so Tara told her to calm down. They continued the journey home and soon Julie seemed to relax.   When she was older Tara informed her about the incident and also told her that a little girl had been hit by a car and died around that location. Ever since it happened she wondered if Julie both saw and interacted with the ghost of this girl.   Of course due to Julie’s young age there is the possibility that this was merely down to childhood imagination rather than a paranormal experience of any kind, there is no way of knowing for sure, especially as she cannot consciously remember what happened.   Sense of Pain   In 1987 when Julie was 12 years old Martin was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer of the oesophagus. When this developed he had to go into hospital for an operation. He had to remain at the hospital for a number of weeks. Luckily the operation was a success. Julie excitedly accompanied Tara to go and pick him up when he was discharged.   When he got back into the car on the back seat he reached out and put his arm round her. Immediately she felt an extremely severe pain on one side of her lower chest. The pain was so intense that it took her breath away and brought tears to her eyes.   She found out soon afterwards that during the operation Martin needed to have his two bottom ribs taken off on one side. Later on looking back at this incident Julie felt that she had sensed the pain of what her father’s body had endured merely through the act of him putting his arm round her.   Buttons   Between the age of 13-14 Julie and Tara used to play a game. Tara owned a tin of spare buttons of various colours and sizes which she stored in the kitchen. There were various occasions where her mother would take a random button from the tin and hide it behind her back, then ask Julie the colour of the button that she was holding. Most of the time it was just the two of them present, but on one occasion her younger sister Imogen was also there.   Julie claims that she was able to correctly state the colour of the button most of the time, far more often than should have been possible by chance alone. She says that the colour would just come to her mind, and that concentrating on it to try and work it out would stop this from occurring. She only played the game about 4-5 times due to the distraction of her father’s declining health. She has not attempted this in recent years, although says she may be able to do so with someone she feels attuned to.   The Collapse   In her teens Julie used to play tennis regularly. On 26 th Imogen 1990 she was playing a match when an extremely strong sensation came over her. This caused her to fall to the floor. She sensed that something was very wrong. Due to what had happened the instructor suggested she should head back home.   She got on the bus and returned to the house on her own. As she reached home she saw her younger brother "Steve" standing on the front drive. Immediately she knew before asking that her father had passed away. It made complete sense to her – just as she had felt his pain after the hospital operation, she also felt it when his life came to an end.   Glowing Figure   Several days after Martin’s passing Julie was lying in the darkness in her bedroom. Because her father had been ill for quite a period of time before he died she had taken his death quite well and had come to terms with what had happened.   Looking across the darkened room, which was only about 7 foot across, she suddenly noticed something unusual near the far corner. Down by the carpet was what appeared to be a yellow orb of light. Julie compares the colour to that of a fishing lure.   Example photograph of a yellow fishing lure The orb started off quite small in size, about the size of a melon, but as she watched it began to grow! As it got larger it began to take a more humanoid shape.   By the time it stopped growing it resembled a hunched over man, about 5 feet in height. The figure was glowing with a golden light, but was clear enough to see features. She could see that it had the facial features of her father. However, it was not how she would expect him to appear – he looked extremely ill and gaunt. It was also too short – Martin was 5 foot 10 inches tall. It wasn’t pleasant at all, and Julie immediately got the sense that this was not her deceased father, but instead something pretending to be him.   The figure reached its arm out towards her. At this moment she screamed out loud. A moment later Tara opened the door and came rushing into the bedroom. As she did the glowing figure completely disappeared.   Tara asked her what was wrong. She told her what had just happened. Tara felt that Martin had come to say goodbye to her and said “You shouldn’t be afraid, that’s a beautiful thing.” Julie informed her mother that he would not have appeared to her in that way, and that she felt that it had been something else.   The incident traumatised her so much that she slept with the light on from that night onwards right up until the age of 23. She was absolutely convinced that she had been wide awake and that the experience was real and not brought on by grief of her father’s death. She only began sleeping with the light off again after she first met the man who she would later marry. This new relationship comforted her and allowed her to get over her fear of the dark.   Looking back at what happened Julie continues to believe that she was not visited by her father, but instead by a dark supernatural presence. While this is one way of interpreting the incident, there is also the possibility that this was a contact experience, and that this was an ET appearing in the form of her father through what is commonly referred to as a screen memory.   I have investigated many cases where beings have appeared in other forms to individuals, sometimes taking on the appearance of family members or friends. If it was a screen memory, then perhaps this was why the figure did not look right, and also seemed to be too short in height.   Abdominal Markings   One morning around 7am in late summer Julie headed downstairs to the kitchen still in her night wear. She was wearing a frock top so her abdomen was exposed. When she entered the kitchen she found Imogen was already awake.   Her sister looked over at her, then a moment later enquired “What’s that?”  Julie replied “What’s what?”  She looked down at her abdomen where her sister was staring. On either side of her lower abdomen, around the position of her ovaries were two oval-shaped markings. The skin was a dark pink and smooth, almost like scars which had healed over. They were not sore, but looked like someone had pressed their thumbs onto her.   Soon Tara came downstairs. Julie pointed out the markings to her. She did not seem bothered by them and simply said “Oh don’t worry about it!”   Julie expected the markings to heal up and disappear. However, while they did fade to a silvery white colour, they remained permanently visible. Imogen started to refer to them as her “alien autopsy marks”, although she only meant this in jest rather than a serious viewpoint on their origin. As they did not cause any discomfort she did not get them diagnosed by her GP.   The markings are no longer visible because since they appeared Julie has had two C-sections. Both of these happened to be cut across right through where they were situated. Interestingly Julie informed me that the skin around the positions of the markings took longer to heal up, almost like it had been weakened in some way.   While many experiencers have reported finding markings at various positions on their bodies after contact experiences, Julie does not remember anything occurring during the night before they appeared. There are a number of mundane explanations for such markings which cannot be fully discounted, including a rare autoimmune condition known as Morphea, and a rash called Pityriasis Rosea, although the later is not supposed to leave lasting scars.   Haunted Mansion   By the following year Julie had started dating a boy named "Ben" who lived in Much Marcle 3 miles to the West. Ben’s father worked as a gardener at a Tudor manor house named Hellens Manor, situated close to the outskirts of the village. She says that the house un-nerved her, and on numerous occasions while she was there unexplained incidents took place. They would sometimes hear objects being thrown in the bathroom. They never saw this directly, but would find random objects in the bath tub. On one occasion something got broken and Ben’s mother actually got angry and told off the ghost!   There were multiple times where Julie felt something touch her. One evening she and Ben returned to the manor. As Ben’s parents had also gone out they left the key under a log by the front door. Ben bent down to pick up the key. As he did Julie sensed something standing behind her, and then felt it touch her on the back. She was petrified and immediately told Ben what had taken place. He didn’t seem surprised at all.   Whenever Julie stayed over at the manor she slept in a room by herself. She would try her best to remain in the room till morning, but occasionally would need to use the bathroom. The landing was extremely dark at night, and unfortunately the light switch was positioned at the other end of it so whenever she needed to go to bathroom she would have brave this darkness.   One night at the manor she woke up in the early hours of the morning needing to go. She got out of bed and opened the bedroom door. As usual outside on the landing it was extremely dark and silent. She turned left and walked down the first section. As she approached a left turn she noticed an orange coloured glow coming from around the corner.   When she walked around the corner she immediately saw a line of burning torches attached to each of the walls! She knew that these were not physically present at the property and that they were a ghostly apparition of some kind.   Despite the situation Julie realised she would have to walk past the torches to get to the bathroom, and holding it until morning was not going to be an option. So she started to walk right past them until she reached the bathroom door.   When she emerged a minute later it was completely dark and the torches had vanished. She decided not to wake up Ben or his mother, but in the morning mentioned it to both of them. Looking back on the incident Julie wonders if it was what is commonly referred to as a time slip, which is where people appear to temporary glimpse visions of the past.   Lady in the Tree   One evening in late Autumn 1992 Ben was giving Julie a lift back home to Ryton via the normal route. Due to the time of year the sun had already set. It was a dry and still night.   Part of the route led East along a lane which would eventually join Roman Road (B4215). It was very quiet and there were no other vehicles around. To the North of the lane separated by farmer’s fields is an area of woodland known as Yewtree Coppice.   Aerial map indicating the start of the route passing Yewtree Coppice As they drove along this stretch of road Julie suddenly became extremely anxious and found it hard to breathe. Ben pulled the car over on the side of the road next to a farmer’s gate to see what was wrong and try to calm her down. Ahead of them was an oak tree positioned alongside the edge of the road and lit up in the headlights. Due to the time of year there were no leaves on the tree. She had a green coloured glow to her and was leaning back against the trunk in a reclined position. She was wearing a skirt, but was too far away to clearly see any facial features. She was not moving but Julie felt that she was aware of their presence.   She pointed the figure out to Ben, but when he looked he could not see anything. Un-nerved by what Julie could apparently see, he started the car back up again and they continued their journey back to Ryton. Soon Julie calmed down and her breathing went back to normal.   As this was the main road between Much Marcle and Ryton there were other occasions where Julie was driven past the location. From that night onward she always felt uneasy, although she did not see the lady again.   As you may be aware, the notorious serial killers Fred and Rosemary West lived in Much Marcle (Julie informed me that Ben was actually friends with Fred West’s nephew). Fred and Rosemary committed at least 12 murders between 1967 and 1987.   On 10 th  April 1994 police found the body of Fred’s first wife Catherine “Rena” Costello in Letterbox Field just South of Yewtree Coppice. She had been murdered back in 1971 after starting to ask questions about her missing daughter Charmaine, another of the West’s victims.   Aerial photograph of the excavation of the grave When Ben saw the news report about the grim discovery on TV he could barely believe it, and immediately informed Julie. The gate they had pulled up at, and oak tree where Julie had seen the glowing lady are situated at the South West corner of Letterbox Field, only 25 metres away from where Rena had been buried!   Aerial map indicating the position of the oak tree (A) and position where Rena’s remains were discovered (B) Thinking about what had taken place, both of them wondered whether the figure Julie had seen was the apparition of Rena haunting the nearby vicinity, and the reason only she had been able to see her was because of her increased level of perception.   This is something which Julie continues to wonder about to this day. If it was indeed the case, it is a mystery as to why Rena was standing within the branches of a tree rather than down at ground level.   Baby Monitor   By 2005 Julie had left Ben, married a man named "Simon" and had her first child "Timothy". They lived together in a bungalow on Lakeside, Newent.   Aerial map of Lakeside Timothy used to sleep in a crib in a separate room to them. In order to listen out for any issues the couple purchased a good quality baby monitor.   In the early hours of the morning on a day in November Julie was stirred from sleep by the familiar sound of Timothy starting to wake up. However, she then heard something she was not expecting to hear. She heard what sounded like an elderly lady whispering “Shhhhhh” followed by tuneful humming noises, as if she was trying to settle Timothy back down to sleep.   Julie thought to herself “What the hell is that?”  She went to check on Timothy and as she did the noises on the baby monitor ceased. When she entered the room he was sleeping there was nothing out of place.   Nothing else took place until the following November. On numerous occasions Julie felt the presence of an old woman in the property. This feeling would only happen at a specific location – the section of the hall between her bedroom and the bathroom. On all these times Julie never saw anything out of the ordinary, only felt that she was there.   Burial Site   On 10 th  November 2007 a man from Redhill Farm, Redmarley named Adrian Prout contacted the police and reported that his wife Kate was missing. Initially police believed that she had ran away from home. However, it came to light that less than a week earlier she had asked Adrian for a large divorce settlement. Despite no evidence of a body he was questioned on suspicion of her murder, and in February 2010 was jailed for life.   According to Julie, in the months following the court verdict the police conducted a thorough search of the surrounding area in the hopes of finding the whereabouts of Kate’s body. This involved them questioning not only people from Redmarley but also from Ryton, which lies just one mile to the North West West.   One of the people they questioned was her mother Tara. One day two detectives apparently knocked on the door. They informed her that they had spoken with a medium in the hopes of tracking Kate down. The medium had told them that she was buried at a place with lots of birds. Tara suggested they look for her in The Rookery Woods, Bromyard, 17 miles to the North North West.   Soon after their visit Julie went round to see Tara, and she told her about the police visit. When Julie heard what they had asked and where Tara had suggested they look, the actual burial location suddenly popped into her mind. Somehow she knew that Kate was buried in Redmarley Woods where she used to play in her childhood.   She informed Tara, not knowing where this knowledge came from. Tara said she was not going to pass this information on to the police as if she was wrong she didn’t want to waste their time, and if she was right she didn’t want her to be in any way implicated in the crime.   In November 2011 Adrian finally confessed to the murder and informed police of where he had buried his wife. She went over to visit Tara and found that she too had seen it on the news and made the connection to what Julie had said previously.   Aerial map indicating Ryton (A) and Redmarley Woods (B) This is another incident which suggests that Julie has sixth sense abilities. Although she has no recorded proof of what took place I have no reason at all to doubt that this happened as she describes.   Further Hauntings   By late 2010 Julie had given birth to her second son, "Kevin", and her daughter, "Lisa". In December the family moved into another house on West View.   Aerial map of West View Within a fortnight of moving in Julie sensed the presence of a sad and angry man. Soon afterwards in the early hours of the morning she happened to glance out of the open bedroom door onto the landing. Even though it was quite dark, there was some light coming from the blue coloured PIR (Passive Infra Red) sensor light and a nearby street light shining through the upstairs window.   Near the top of the stairs she saw a dark shadowy figure. She woke up Simon and pointed out the figure to her. He apparently couldn’t see the figure and informed her that she must be seeing things. It was there several seconds before disappearing. However, Julie would go on to see the same figure on at least three other occasions.   In 2011 Julie chatted with a neighbour about the property. She did not mention the strange goings on which had taken place. However, her neighbour informed that the husband of the previous couple who lived at the property had died there. He had an extensive career in the Navy. A couple of months after retiring he discovered he had liver cancer.   The neighbour said he had been justifiably angry about his rapidly deteriorating health because he had been looking forward to a long and happy retirement. Julie was convinced that his ghost was still present in the house.   In 2013 Julie and Simon separated. Julie moved into a new rental house on Meek Road with her three children.   Aerial map of Meek Road Despite this change in address unusual activity continued. There were numerous occasions where Julie either saw or heard objects being moved around. The most dramatic of these incidents occurred in the kitchen. She was alone in the house and she had set up her Apple Mac laptop on the table. She had got up temporarily when suddenly the laptop got thrown right across the kitchen in front of her! She was nowhere near it at the time so had not tripped over the wire. She was shocked because it was quite a heavy object so it would have required a substantial amount of energy to move it.   Shadow Being   In 2015 Julie once again moved house, this time to Winding Pool Close, Dymock.   Initially everything seemed calm. But one night after the children had gone to bed she was in the kitchen washing up when she suddenly had the feeling of something behind her. She turned around not knowing what to expect. By the open kitchen door to the hall there was a shadowy humanoid form. It was about 5 foot 8 inches in height, a little taller than herself. It looked like it was made of black swirling smoke, but had a clearly defined shape with a head, torso, arms and legs. Julie describes it as “like black cotton wool, really dense smoke moving but keeping form”.   Disturbed by the presence of the figure she briefly turned away from it, thinking “Oh shit!”  When she turned back round again the entity was still there by the doorway. She felt that it was there to observe her rather than cause her physical harm. She also knew that staying put would not accomplish anything so she decided to bravely walk out of the kitchen right past it!   As she did she glanced up at it. Even up close there were no facial features visible. It did not start to move or interact with her in any way. Once past it she calmly walked along the hall, opened the front door and stepped outside onto the front drive of the house, wondering what to do.   A number of seconds went by before she thought to herself “Oh damn, I’ve left the kids in there with it!”  She overcame her fear of what was taking place and stepped back inside the house. When she did she saw that the figure had disappeared.   Within weeks of this incident she saw the same entity a second time! On this occasion it was dusk and she was again in the kitchen. The kitchen window is front-facing. She happened to look through it and saw the same figure, this time standing at the end of the front drive way! Un-nerved by the fact that it had returned she moved away from the window. She does not know how long it remained there for.   Rainbow Light   On another day Julie was sitting in the living room on the sofa. She looked over at the door and noticed a rainbow coloured vertical line of light on it, the sort of light which would usually be caused by sunlight reflecting off or through something. However, she had never seen it before, and was sure that there was nothing present which could cause such a reflection. Upon seeing it she thought to herself “What the hell is that?”   Julie attempted to block it at different positions to determine a potential angle of reflection. She tried covering the window and the television, but nothing seemed to work. It was extremely bizarre but after un-successfully discovering its source she just ignored it and got on with her day. The light has never been seen since, it only appeared on this single occasion.   False Statement   Her partner at the time, "Lee", worked as an oven cleaner. Sometimes when she was able she would accompany him on cleaning jobs.   One day they drove to a house in Tewesbury. The lady who owned the property let them both in. As she touched the door handle and stepped into the house she felt odd, but didn’t immediately know why. They walked through to the kitchen. Justin began working on the oven and talking with the lady while Julie stood in the corner.   As they chatted Lee asked the lady “Do you have any children?”  Immediately Julie’s heart sank, and she thought to herself “Oh my god, why did you have to ask her that?”   The lady responded saying “Yeah, I’ve got two children, a son and a daughter.” Julie began to feel really hot inside her head, found it hard to breathe and could feel herself start to well up with tears. In the end she could no longer fight it and she burst into tears.   Both Lee and the lady noticed what was happening. The lady asked her “What on earth’s the matter my dear?” Julie responded “I can’t say.”  But the lady continued to press her, saying “You can! What’s wrong? Is something bad?”  Julie looked at the lady and blurted out “He asked you a question a minute ago. You said you had two children. That’s not true!”   Immediately the colour drained from the lady’s face. Julie continued, not really knowing why she was saying what she was saying. “You said you had a daughter. She’s died and it’s her birthday today and you’ve lied about her!”  As she said the words she found herself not wanting to, because she knew that this was deeply personal to the lady and may upset her, but she couldn’t help it. It was as if something else was speaking through her.   Lee exclaimed out loud “Oh my god!”  But instead of getting angry the lady said “That’s fine. It’s true, it would have been her 14th birthday today.”  She went on to explain that her daughter had died of Leukaemia. She asked Julie “How did you know?”   Julie said “As I walked through the front door and put my hand on the handle someone told me in my head.”  Despite clearly being shocked at what was taking place the lady was alright with it and said she was happy as it proved to her that her daughter was still there in some form. They spent a number of minutes consoling one another before leaving the property.   Julie says that after she returned to the car she developed a strong headache which lasted for a while before finally settling. Looking back at what had happened she felt like something had been directing her to speak, not the lost daughter, but something else entirely.   When I asked Julie about what she knew when she first entered the property she said “I would say I had a knowing of something, but when I blurted it out I didn’t know what was coming out, it was automatic. I had a feeling when I went in. I knew something was wrong but not specifically what.”   This is a fascinating incident which once again suggests that Julie has the ability to sometimes perceive things which have taken place. It is near impossible that she would have somehow found out this information in advance. There had been no articles written about the death of the lady’s daughter, and neither her nor Lee knew the lady in advance, she was just a work client.   Translucent UFO   Julie’s son Kevin enjoys star gazing, so for his 15 th birthday on 23 rd  May 2020 she bought him a telescope. A few days later at around 10:30pm they decided to head outside to stargaze. They walked down to a patch of open grass at the end of Winding Pool Close.   Photograph of the area of grass It was a clear, still and warm night, perfect for sky watching. Due to the time there were no other pedestrians around.   At about 11:30pm they decided to head back to the house. When they reached the end of the drive they briefly stopped for a chat.   All of a sudden they heard a whooshing sound over the road. They turned round to look just as something sizeable and moving at a fast speed passed by. It came in from their left, heading along the road in a Western direction. It was so low down that Julie is convinced it must have flew between one of the gaps separating the houses at the end of the road.   She only glimpsed it briefly before it vanished into the darkness, but describes it as looking like an elongated oval-shape, almost transparent, but with a surface made up of flattened panels like a diamond. It seemed to be about 40 feet in length, and was at quite low altitude, only about 25 feet. As it passed by on a straight and level course they felt the air being displaced by it.   As it passed them Julie exclaimed “What the hell!”  Kevin responded asking “What was that? Oh my god, it was like if dragons were real!”  They stood and chatted about what had just occurred before heading back inside.   Julie says that soon afterwards they discussed it with a neighbour who suggested it may have been a goose swooping down as it flew past. However, she is convinced that the object was much too large to have been a bird, and its appearance sounds nothing like how this would appear.   Looking back at the incident, Julie feels that there was something organic about the object rather than it just being a solid machine. It was so close to the house that Julie wonders if it was there specifically to observe her and Kevin.   Bag-For-Life   By 2021 Julie had met her current partner "Mark". One day in 2021 she was round his house on Drayton Road, Abingdon, Oxfordshire and sitting in the living room.   Aerial map of Drayton Road She heard a strange rustling sound coming from the adjoining kitchen. She headed through there to see where the noise was coming from. Sitting alongside the sink was a bag-for-life. This bag was moving like there was something alive inside it. She thought to herself “Oh my god, there’s a mouse in it!”   She approached the bag, picked it up and shook it. She was mystified to find that it was empty. A moment later the sink mixer tap blew off with a strong jet of water! Panicking she grabbed it and tried screwing it back on. Mark heard the sound and came through to find out what had happened.   It is of course possible that the moving bag was just down to creases in it naturally collapsing, and the tap was just a freak malfunction. But the proximity of these two incidents is what has Julie wondering if there was a supernatural explanation.   A Perplexing Vision   As you have read, for most of her life Julie has experienced paranormal and psychic related events, but nothing which could be clearly defined as contact. However, that would all change on 9 th  March 2022.   Julie sleeps on a sofa bed in the living room. She always leaves a small lamp on in the room so is never in complete darkness.   She awoke in the early hours of the morning with the feeling of a presence in the room. She was lying on her left side, so when she opened her eyes she had a view across the living room to the door which leads through to the hall.   She was surprised to see that the door of the living room was open, even though she had closed it when she had gone to bed. There were several beings standing there. Two of them were just inside the room and were just under 5 foot in height. The third, which appeared visibly shorter than the others, about 4 foot, was peering around the edge of the door frame, almost like it was dubious or frightened to come in.   The beings had a slender build, bulbous heads, and appeared to be unclothed. Their skin was grey with a slight blue-ish tint. They had large almond-shaped eyes which were completely black. Their noses were thin and not particularly pronounced, and they had very small mouths. There seemed to be a dull blue-white coloured glow coming from them, with no obvious source.   While not massively familiar with the contact phenomenon, Julie was aware that these beings were Greys. One of the two in the room began to speak. When it did it did not open its mouth. Julie believes it was speaking telepathically directly in her mind.   It started to say the same phrase over and over in a deep guttural male-sounding voice. Words she did not understand – “Manafuksa ich nach!” (Not sure if spelt correctly). As it spoke it gesticulated with its hands.   She was confused and un-nerved, as this was the first time she had seen them and didn’t understand what she was being told. The shorter Grey now entered the room and stood next to the other two. Julie felt like she could move freely but purposely remained lying down staring at the beings.   The Grey speaking with her then turned and pointed at the wall on the far side of the living room. As it did, the wall seemed to dissolve away from the centre outwards in small pixel-like blocks. In its place was now a vision of another location! It was quite dark but the scene was lit in a dull peach-coloured glow.   She could see what appeared to be the ruins of a destroyed two storey building. The wall of the building closest to her had seemingly collapsed enabling her to see the floors inside. Everything was covered in dust. The building design did not look particularly old-fashioned, but did appear run down. It did not look like a building from the UK. It was potentially European, but there was nothing she could make out which would confirm this. On the ground floor was lots of rubble and debris. On the first floor was a double bed. Interpreted drawing of the vision location Floating about three feet above the bed was a unclothed woman in a upright curled up foetal position. She had white skin and fair hair that was tied up in a bob. Julie did not recognise her. The woman appeared to be enclosed within a clear tight-fitting sac of some kind.   How the woman was positioned above the bed The Grey pointed at the lady like it was trying to draw her attention to her. It continued to say the same phrase as before, “Manafuksa ich nach! Manafuksa ich nach!” There was particular emphasis on the first word.   Her smartphone was on charge in the room but Julie did not think about grabbing it to take any photographs or video footage, she was too absorbed in what was taking place.   After a couple of minutes the vision quickly faded away and the living room wall returned to normal. The Grey stopped speaking to her, then it and then all three of them turned and silently walked out of the living room via the open door. Julie was quite traumatised by what had just taken place. She sat on the sofa bed petrified, and did not drop back off to sleep for the rest of the night.   In the morning she contacted Mark and told him about what had happened. He was supportive and seemed to believe her. By the following evening she had calmed down enough to once again sleep on the sofa bed.   Shaken Awake   Just over a week later on the night of 17 th  March Julie was once again stirred from her sleep. She awoke at approximately 3:30am with the feeling of something grabbing hold of her shoulder through the T-shirt she was wearing and vigorously shaking her.   When she opened her eyes she saw the same Grey which had spoken to her before. It was leaning down over her with its face very close to hers. Once again it telepathically repeated the same phrase with a sense of urgency - “Manafuksa ich nach! Manafuksa ich nach!” It was as if it was still trying to get her to understand what it meant.   Julie looked past it for a moment and saw the other two Greys that she had seen a week earlier. They were standing still and watching over proceedings.   When the Grey close to her realised she was awake it let go of her shoulder and stopped speaking. Then just like the previous occasion, the three of them exited the room. Julie heard their scampering footsteps in the kitchen, and believes that they must have then exited the house via the back door, as she then heard the 6-foot-tall fence rattle outside, suggesting they had climbed over it.   After this second incident she and Mark looked online to see if they could fine the meaning of the words the Grey had been speaking. However, they were unsuccessful. Even after trying different spellings there did not appear to be words in any language which matched up with what it had said to her.   I have attempted to use Chat GPT to explain the meaning of the words. Obviously the correct spelling is unknown, but below are some different spellings and the responses given by AI:   “Manafuksa ich nach”   It’s not a standard phrase in any one language — it looks like mixed slang, probably Arabic + German, and it’s a bit garbled. “Ich” is German for “I”. “Nach” is German for “ after”, “towards” or “following”. “Mana” or “ma na” in Arabic dialects (esp. Maghrebi) can mean “not” or “no”. “Fuksa”  isn’t a real Arabic word, but in slang it’s sometimes used to echo “fuck” or just as filler sound.   “Manafucksa ick nack”   Isn’t a recognized phrase in English (or common slang). It sounds like made-up or playful nonsense, possibly meant to sound crude or insulting without actually meaning anything specific. A couple of likely possibilities: Intentional gibberish — people sometimes mash words together for humor, shock value, or rhythm. Mock-insult — “fucksa” gives it an aggressive tone, while “ick nack” sounds like knick-knack, which makes it feel silly rather than serious. Inside joke / fictional phrase — could be from a game, song, TikTok, or friend group where it has a private meaning.   “Manafukse ikh nakh”   That phrase looks like Yiddish, but written phonetically and a bit mangled. As written it’s not a clean, standard sentence. However, it’s very close to a well-known Yiddish vulgar idiom “Ikh fuk zikh nokh”. The literal meaning of this is  “I’ll fuck myself later.” The idiomatic meaning is “I’ll deal with it later" or "I don’t care right now.”   It is of course very unlikely that the Grey was stating any of these things, so the true meaning of its repeated phrase remains unclear at present.   Reptilian Visitation   During the night in the summer of 2023 Julie was stopping over at Mark’s house. Her pet French bulldog "Brutus" was in his cage at the corner of the room.   In the early hours of the morning she was awoken by a loud repeated and fast clacking noise which lasted for a couple of seconds and reminded her of a chainsaw. The noise sounded familiar to her but she was not sure why, as she had no conscious recollection of hearing it before.   Immediately she jumped up and stood on the bed, instinctively raising her hands to defend herself. This sudden movement caused Mark also start to wake up. Julie looked across the bedroom and was shocked at what she saw.   In the dim blue-white glow given off by the fairy lights which they had intentionally left on she could see a 7-8-foot-tall lizard-like figure. It appeared to be unclothed and had dark green coloured skin. There was not enough light to see whether its skin was scaled or not, but given its appearance Julie feels it may well have been. It had a flattened nose similar to a Komodo Dragon, and red glowing eyes. Its mouth was closed and she did not see any teeth.   The being was standing up on its hind legs. It seemed aggressive, and Julie sensed that it wasn’t friendly. This being was a Reptilian, but unlike the Greys she had interacted with previously, Julie was unaware of this. Upon seeing the being she shouted out loud. Mark looked up at her and asked “What’s wrong?” Julie whispered “Shhhh. Don’t move!”  in an attempt to get him to keep quiet.   Just behind and to the left of the being was a glowing white oval-shaped light which Julie describes as a “vertical puddle of light”. A moment later the Reptilian stepped sideways into this light and disappeared. Julie assumed it had been a portal of some kind which the being had used to enter the room.   As Mark had been looking at her not across the room he had not seen what had just taken place. Julie told him about the noise and then said “It was one of them, and it scared me.” She did not go into detail because of where the incident had taken place and she didn’t want him to worry.   Julie was convinced that she had been fully awake and what she had seen was not simply a vivid hallucination brought on by a nightmare. She was extremely upset about what had occurred. She lay back down and started to cry. Stuart put his arms around her to provide some comfort and in the end she managed to fall back off to sleep.   In the morning Julie thought about what had taken place. She was surprised that Brutus did not seem to react at all to the presence of the being.   In late 2025 Julie purchased a second dog, a Labrador which she named "Samson". She feels that one of the driving forces behind this decision was because of what had taken place, which has weighed on her mind ever since. She informs me that her neighbourhood is friendly so she does not feel that she needed him for protection from other people. However, for an unknown reason she feels that Reptilians are not fond of dogs.   She does not know where this came from, but has not seen the being since so maybe there is some truth to it. That said, Knuckles was in the room at the time of the incident and that did not seem to stop it from appearing.   Orange Orb   Around 8:30pm on 10th October 2023 Julie stepped outside to go and pick up Lisa from Ledbury Fair, a street fair which takes place annually. Photograph of Ledbury town fair It was a dry, still and clear evening. She took a couple of steps along the drive and happened to glance into the sky.   Suddenly a glowing orb of orange-white light appeared in the sky to the South East at an elevation of around 60 degrees. It had a gradient to its brightness, with the centre being brighter than the outer edges. There was no tail visible behind it. It moved fast to the South across the sky on an arced trajectory over several seconds before vanishing into the distance.   The object appeared to be quite sizeable. She felt certain it had not been a meteorite or fast moving aircraft. Shocked at what she had just seen Julie stepped back through the open door into the hallway. She turned her head and stared wide-eyed at Timothy, who was sitting in the living room at the time.   Upon seeing her expression, he asked her “What have you seen?” She explained to him what had just taken place. Because of both of their prior experiences he fully believed her.   The object is unlikely to have been a meteorite as these are only visible for a second and tend to have a long tail behind them. It was moving too rapidly to have been a distant helicopter or drone. A sky lantern or orange coloured LED balloon caught in a fast air current cannot be entirely ruled out, although it appeared to be a still evening, at least at ground level.   The Greys Return   On the 8 th  January 2025 Julie was once again woken up in the night by the sense of something in the living room. She knew instinctively that the three Greys she had seen back in early 2022 had returned. However, she was no longer frightened by them.   She was lying on her back with her head facing towards the ceiling. For about five minutes she didn’t look at them. Eventually she did turn her head and open her eyes. As expected, the three of them were once again standing over by the door, which, like before, was open.   Instinctively she sensed that they meant her no harm. She lay there staring at them for a while. She felt comfortable with the fact there were there and was not threatened by their presence.   Julie feels that she must have blacked out, as the next thing she realised it was morning time. She was surprised to find that in addition to the vest top and pyjama bottoms she had gone to sleep in she was now also wearing one of her summer-weight jumpers and one of her daughter’s socks. She had not been wearing either the previous day. The jumper was one that had been packed away in a chest of drawers in a different room.   Throughout the following day she felt anxious like something bad was going to happen. However, to her knowledge nothing did, at least not to her directly. By the evening this feeling disappeared.   This is a fascinating incident which suggests that Julie may have been taken after she blacked out, although she has no recollection of this at present. Many people have reported suddenly blacking out against their will following visitation experiences, and in some of these cases they then have memories of being aboard craft.   There are also cases on record where people have reported finding themselves in different clothing or clothing put on incorrectly after such experiences, suggesting that the beings may have attempted to re-clothe them but done so incorrectly. There is of course the possibility that in some of these cases these individuals may have sleep walked and put the clothes on without being consciously aware of doing so.   While this cannot be ruled out, Julie says that she is not prone to this condition. That said, it seems odd that the beings would have gathered these clothing items from other rooms in the house and then dressed her up in them in addition to the night clothes she was already wearing.   Arm Bruises   One night later in the same year Julie had an unusual dream, one she cannot remember the precise details of. When she awoke in the morning and went for a shower she found bruises on her right arm which looked like finger marks, almost as if something had forcibly grabbed her. There were three elongated bruises on the top of her forearm and one underneath.   After her shower, she put on a T-shirt and headed downstairs. Mark’s daughter saw the markings and commented on them.   During the day Julie felt quite disturbed by the markings and wondered if a being had grabbed hold of her in the night. The markings slowly vanished over the next couple of days. Sadly she did not take a photograph of them.   I asked Julie whether the markings could have been caused by Mark reaching out and grabbing her arm in his sleep. She said that this was unlikely as he always sleeps soundly and does not tend to move around. I also asked her if they could have been insect bites but she says they looked the wrong shape and did not itch in the way bites usually do.   Rear View Mirror   At around 10pm on an evening in October Julie drove with Timothy to pick up Lisa from a friend’s house. It was quite dark, but dry, clear and still. On the return journey Timothy sat in the passenger seat, and Lisa sat on the back seat.   They were driving West along Crowfield Lane and approaching the T-junction with the B4215. Just before arriving at the junction Julie prepared to brake by looking in the rear view mirror.   Aerial map showing the junction between Crowfield Lane and the B4215   Photograph of the junction  She was shocked to see a figure sitting on the back seat alongside Lisa. The figure appeared male but non-human. He had blue-grey coloured skin, elongated facial features, a large forehead and high set black coloured eyes. He was wearing dark coloured clothing.   The face of the being reminded her a little of the famous painting by Norwegian artist Edvard Munch entitled “The Scream”: Upon seeing the figure Julie immediately slammed on the brakes. As she did, Timothy shouted out “What’s wrong?” Julie immediately arced her head round to look, but there was nothing there. As she didn’t want to frighten Lisa un-necessarily she simply responded saying “Oh nothing, don’t worry. Thought I saw something.”   Julie has not seen the being before or since, despite driving using the same junction on other occasions, so does not believe it was caused by a trick of the light at that particular location.   Possible Surveillance?   In early December Julie began to notice people behaving strangely in her vicinity. Numerous incidents took place within the space of a single week.   The first incident involved a dark coloured saloon car with two dark haired men sat in it which was parked on Winding Pool Close opposite to the house. They were there a good while before seemingly driving away.   Later on Julie decided to take the dogs out for a walk. That’s when she noticed the same vehicle once again parked up in a lay-by. A number of days later she had driven to a car park close to where she lives, and once again noticed the same vehicle.   On another early morning she was taking the dogs a walk around the local church yard. It was about 6:30am. She noticed a man sat in the church porch. She felt uneasy as it was quite unusual for anyone to be around at that time of morning, so decided to leave the church yard and walk home via a different route to usual.   Just as she was walking up her road, she noticed the same man behind the wheel of a grey coloured VW transport van. She did not want to go into her house while he was around as she didn’t want him to know where she lives.   The van drove past really slowly, reached the end of the cul-de-sac and turned around. But instead of driving away it then parked up. Julie waited and eventually the van drove away and she was able to enter her house.   On a day soon after this incident two men and a woman came to the front door. They claimed to be Jehovah’s Witnesses. She had Jehovah’s Witnesses come to the door before, but had not met these individuals before. This was not particularly suspicious of course, but something else took place which made her doubt their authenticity.   She had come across an audio book of King James bible (An early modern English translation of the Christian bible for the Church Of England), and decided out of general interest to start listening to it. When she mentioned this to the people at the door they seemed to have no clue as to what this was.   She did not say anything at the time, but she immediately became suspicious of them, as surely they would have heard of this with their strict religious upbringing?   While these incidents did occur in relatively quick succession, there is nothing directly linking them. Although in some contact cases surveillance does appear to be an aspect, it is also possible that these were just normal civilians acting oddly in various ways.   The Silhouette   Julie works at a hair salon. At the end of one of her shifts in late December she had just exited the building out into a courtyard area. Due to the time of evening there should have been nobody else around.   As she stepped out of the doorway she felt like she was being watched. She looked over to her left at an adjacent building. Standing in front of one of the windows was what appeared to be the silhouette of a humanoid figure. It was visible because of light that was passing through the building from the other side.   The figure was approximately 6 feet in height. Suddenly, as if realising it had been spotted by her, it stepped sideways away from the window into the darkness. Julie was frightened so ran up an alleyway to get away from the area.   The salon has a CCTV camera set up which watches the entrance to the courtyard. Theoretically there would be no way for someone to enter the courtyard without being captured on it. But when she checked the footage there was no sign of anyone entering or leaving. The courtyard also has motion sensor lights which come on automatically when someone enters it, but again there was no sign of these being activated.   The origin of the figure remains a mystery to this day, but Julie feels that it cannot have been a normal civilian.   Conclusions   Julie has had a wide variety of fascinating experiences throughout her life. While some are clearly contact related, involving types of beings regularly reported by others, some of her other experiences seem to suggest she possesses psychic abilities and may be able to sometimes see ghostly apparitions.   One of her most intriguing experiences is arguably her initial visitation by the group of Greys involving the words one of them said to her, and the strange vision of the damaged building. At present we have no idea of the location seen in the vision, nor the identity of the floating lady. Nor do we have an understanding of the spoken phrase, despite extensive investigation. Perhaps answers to these aspects will come to light in due course.   I would like to thank Julie for the extensive amount of time she has given up in order to make this case report a reality. This appears to be an on-going case so I hope she will keep in touch. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Year: 2021 Last Updated: 02/03/2026   Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used   In late September 2021 a man who I shall name “Simon” got in touch with BUFOG via our website’s sightings report form. He wanted to know if anyone else had mentioned to us a sighting of five large glowing UFOs over Halesowen around March 2008. He proceeded to mention some brief details about what he himself saw at that time.   I informed him that we had not had any other reports in relating to this incident, and also asked some additional questions to find out more information. Sadly Simon did not get back in touch, so we only have his initial details to go on.   Sighting Details   Around March 2008 Simon was having a pint at The Royal Oak pub on Manor Lane, Halesowen (Time of day unknown)   Aerial map of The Royal Oak He suddenly became aware of a number of people looking up at the sky. He looked up himself and saw five large glowing orange objects. They were disc-shaped and at quite high altitude. Simon estimates they were each about the size of four double-decker buses.   Photograph of The Royal Oak One of the objects appeared to be leading the other four. It was positioned to the left of the others, which were in a rectangular formation. All five objects moved slowly in the sky for a number of seconds. Suddenly the left most object veered upwards with a slight curve and then all of them went.   Sighting Analysis   Despite the small amount of information available this is quite an intriguing sighting. It is not known if it was still daylight or evening time after dark. If it was daytime then perhaps the objects were reflecting the sunlight causing them to glow, if after dark they were clearly luminescent.   Sky lanterns were very popular around 2008, and glow a fiery orange colour as described. When multiple lanterns are launched they tend to drift silently together on air currents, sometimes appearing to be under intelligent control.   Also, according to Simon, they “all went” after the initial object veered off course. The initial object’s sudden change of movement could be attributed to it being caught in a conflicting air current. We do not know what the witness meant by “all went”. If he meant that the remaining objects then also veered off course in the same manner and drifted away out of sight this could conceivably have happened. However, there are a number of aspects which do not fit with this explanation. Sky lanterns are quite small in size. If Simon was correct about these objects being at high altitude and four times the size of a double-decker bus this would have made them approximately 140 feet wide, far too large to be lanterns.   Distant sky lanterns do not tend to look circular or disc-shaped, they look more like glowing orbs of orange light which sometimes flicker in brightness.   If by “all went” he meant that the objects all suddenly vanished or greatly increased in speed and shot away, then neither of these really fits with them being lanterns. While lanterns can burn out, appearing to vanish, it is unlikely that five would burn out all at the same time.   If they were not sky lanterns, then what else could they have been? They do not sound like distant aircraft or helicopters. Even at high altitude it is possible to see different navigation lights including regular flashing strobe lights. The sighting occurred a number of years before drones were commercially available so this too can be ruled out.   Perhaps at some point Simon will get back in touch and further information can be learnt about what happened. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Year: 2021 Last Updated: 27/02/2026   Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used for some witnesses   Introduction In September 2021 I was contacted by a lady named Lisa via Facebook. She had read one of my recently released case reports and mentioned that she and her mother had seen a triangular UFO. Her mother reported the sighting to a paranormal investigator from North West England named Harry Harris. She is not sure of what became of the information she passed on to him.   I asked Lisa if she would like to get this sighting down on record via the BUFOG website, which she was more than happy to proceed with. We arranged a phone call to go over what happened. In our conversation I discovered that this was merely one of many experiences Lisa and her family have had over the years. This report covers all these incidents in depth.   UFO Intercept   Lisa says that her father “Andrew” had a UFO sighting in the 1960s before she was born. He was in his 20s at the time and saw the object over junction 2 of the M602 motorway close to Eccles, Salford where he lived at the time.   He did not describe what it looked like but said that he saw it from a window of his house on Ennismore Avenue.   Aerial map indicating Ennismore Avenue (A) and junction 2 of the M602 (B) Photograph from Ennismore Avenue in the direction of the junction Andrew said that he witnessed a couple of military jets chasing after the object. Sadly he never provided Lisa with any further details. TV Repair Man   In her childhood Lisa lived with her parents on Gwenbury Avenue, Stockport.   Aerial map of Gwenbury Avenue  In 1976 or 1977 when Lisa was 5-6 years old the television set in the living room stopped working. Within two hours of this happening there was a knock at the front door. Her mother “Rachel” went to answer it. There was a gentleman standing there. Lisa cannot remember what he looked like.   The main said to her “I’ve come to fix your TV.”  Surprised by this, Rachel responded “I haven’t rang anyone. Where have you got this information from?” The man claimed that someone had rang up. Rachel was very confused as she was certain that neither her nor her husband “Andrew” had contacted any repair companies, but she let the man in regardless.   This is an odd situation. Obviously this was decades before smart televisions, so there is no way the repair company would have detected that their television was broken. However, it was probably just down to a misunderstanding. Perhaps Andrew had rang someone up but Rachel was unaware of this fact.   Flying Triangle   One night in the summer of 1978 at around midnight Lisa was roused from her sleep by Rachel. Her mother asked her to come to the bedroom window. She didn’t feel frightened but for some reason did not want to get out of bed and go and look. Rachel started to describe seeing a lit triangular shaped object moving towards the house.   From her bed Lisa could see red and green flashing lights. Her mother stated that the object had moved out of sight over the roof of the house.   The next thing Lisa became aware of was waking up in the morning. Rachel reached out to a paranormal investigator from North West England named Harry Harris. Lisa recalls two men coming to the house later on to discuss the sighting with her mother. She recalls the men asking her mother if she had smelt anything, and her mother stating that she had smelt sulphur.   In the weeks following the sighting her mother started to act strangely in various ways. Lisa believes that her mother had a nervous breakdown because of what had happened. She began drawing strange patterns and colouring them in. One day she was talking with Andrew. Lisa overheard her say that it was “too much for her head to handle”. Looking back to that time in her life Lisa also remembers going into her living room and seeing test tubes and people wearing white coats. However, she feels that this may have just been a vivid dream which has stuck in her head for some reason.   Orb Formation   On an evening in 1980 Lisa and Rachel headed out to walk their pet dog round the local park. It was a pleasant, dry and clear evening. As they reached the end of Gwenbury Avenue and were about to turn right onto Elswood Road her mother happened to glance behind her.   Aerial map indicating the corner where the witnesses were stood  It was at this point that she noticed a line of small white orbs of light hovering silently over the houses at an elevation of about 45 degrees. They seemed to be about 1000 feet up. She pointed them out to Lisa. There were about 6-7 of them sitting motionless in the sky. Lisa is certain that they were independent objects rather than lights on a singular large object.   Photograph looking back up Gwenbury Avenue They both stared at the line of orbs for up to 10 minutes, excitedly talking with one another. Sadly they did not have a camera on them. After a while they decided to continue their walk to the park, leaving the orbs still present. On the return journey home they were no longer visible.   OBE   When she was either 10 or 11 Lisa had to go to the dentist to have a tooth extracted. Back then gas was regularly used to knock out patients during operations. While undergoing the extraction, Lisa suddenly found herself in a standing position looking down at the back of the dentist bending over her. Strangely she could only see in black and white instead of full colour. She does not recall what happened next or how she re-entered her body.   Ironically I have personally experienced almost exactly the same thing when I was 14 years old, so do not doubt Lisa’s claims at all. The only difference was I could see in colour. It is common for people to have out-of-body experiences while unconscious during operations, there are many cases on record which have taken place at hospitals around the world.   Sunlight   One sunny day in the 1980s Lisa recalls looking at the sun and for some reason it was green in colour. When she looked away and looked back it was normal again. Ever since this incident she has always had an odd feeling about the sun.   In 2017 scientists at NASA used specialized green filters on cameras mounted on research jets during the solar eclipse in order to study the sun’s outer atmosphere. When Lisa found out about this she wondered if she had experienced a precognition of this decades before.   Photograph of solar eclipse with green filter Repeat experiencers often report having precognitions or premonitions of future events. That said, if this was such an incident, it seems like a very odd thing to have a precognition of.   Mother’s Precognitions   In 1985 when she was 14-15 years old Lisa recalls Rachel informing her about a number of visions she was having. She claimed that she kept seeing the American actor Paul Michael Glaser and his family. At the time Paul was most well-known for his portrayal of Detective Dave Starsky in the television series Starsky & Hutch. In her visions Paul’s wife Elizabeth and daughter Ariel appeared very poorly and were vomiting.   Photograph of Paul Michael Glaser Rachel was confused about what the visions could mean, so according to Lisa she decided to reach out Paul directly. She apparently talked with him but he was apparently very guarded and did not say much.   However, a number of months later it was announced that Paul’s wife and daughter were both HIV positive. It turned out that Elizabeth had contracted the disease through a blood transfusion while giving birth back in August 1981, but did not find out for several years. When Rachel heard the news she was convinced that she had experienced numerous precognitions of their illness. Sadly, Ariel died in 1987 and Elizabeth in 1994.   Lisa says that her mother had other precognitions too, including a train crash that occurred, although she did not provide much details about this.   Nordic Visitation Dream Around the same time in her life Lisa recalls having a vivid dream. In this dream a male Nordic being came to the front door. He was wearing a one-piece blue suit with some kind of insignia on it. He had straight, shoulder-length blond coloured hair, and extremely blue eyes. His face looked kind.   Lisa was aware that there was some kind of barrier between them. The Nordic wanted to enter the property but Lisa did not want him to. He spoke with her telepathically, saying “Don’t be frightened, we are just like you.”  This is all she could recall taking place.   Even though this could conceivably be memories of an actual visitation Lisa currently interprets it as a dream. She says that she was looking into the contact phenomenon at the time.   Further Precognitions   One morning in 2006 Lisa woke up around 5am. As she lay there in bed she suddenly heard a voice in her right ear say “Eddie’s dead.”  The voice had no particular male or female tone to it. She immediately sat bolt upright in bed, freaked out about what had just occurred.   She was aware that her uncle’s name was Eddie and that he was suffering from cancer. Later in the day the family found out that he had had a tablet overdose (either accidentally or on purpose) and was extremely ill. Soon afterwards they heard the sad news that he had passed away. Lisa felt sure that she had somehow known he was going to die, and this knowledge materialized as the voice in her ear, or that she had been directly told this information by an unknown entity.   On the night of 13th February 2013 Lisa had a vivid dream in which she was running surrounded by lots of other frightened people. Everyone was trying to get inside buildings or underground. She could feel the sensation of small rocks hitting her.   Two days after the dream she saw a news report about an 18-metre-wide meteorite which had entered the atmosphere over Ural, Russia. The meteorite did not hit the ground but exploded over Chelyabinsk Oblast at a height of 30 km, raining down debris over the area.   Below is some video footage of the event:     Writing on the Wall One morning in 2018 while Lisa was in the process of waking up she saw some sparkling lights on the wall of her bedroom. She suffers from diabetes and thought this was somehow affecting her eyes so decided to visit her GP. However, they said that this was not a known side effect and that they’d not heard of this before.   She started to see these lights on other occasions too, again while waking up or dropping off. Then things became even more unusual. Instead of sparkling lights she began to see numbers and letters written in either luminous green or luminous red. Whenever she got out of bed and approached them they would fade away. They seemed almost holographic in nature.   The symbols never made sense, like understandable words she could read. Over the coming years she saw them about seven times.   The reason for the symbols is at this point unknown. When they have appeared they have been recognisable numbers and English letters rather than unusual shapes. While it is possible that they are some kind of communication from an alien intelligence, it is also possible that they are paranormal in nature or that there is an unusual medical explanation for their appearance.   Precognitions Continue   By 2019 Lisa had moved into a bungalow on Verdun Road, Eccles with her partner “Dave”   Aerial map of Verdun Road One night she had a dream about Dave’s brother in which he was crying. In the morning she wondered if there was anything to it. Later on in the day he turned up at the house extremely upset about something.   On another night Lisa dreamt about the Queen. Again she appeared to be upset. In the morning she decided to look online to see if there was any reason for why she would have been upset at this time. She apparent found out it was the anniversary of the death of a close family member.   Light Blue Orbs   Due to her previous experiences one night in November 2019 she decided to try and communicate via telepathy to see if she could get any craft to appear.   She stood by the window of the bedroom and stared out into the night sky. Dave was fast asleep on the bed behind her. It was a really clear night with the stars fully visible. In her mind she asked “If there’s anything there can you show yourself?” Initially nothing out of the ordinary took place. After a while she noticed a line of Starlink satellites heading over. She then began to notice other moving white lights which could easily have been other satellites or meteorites.   Suddenly without warning a large blue-white glowing orb suddenly appeared in the sky to the North East! It was brightly glowing like an arc welding torch. It dropped vertically downward a short distance, perform a right angle turn and then move across the sky to the right quite a distance before halting. This was followed by another orb, then another. They then started to vanish in sequence as more continued to appear and perform the same movement pattern.   This continued for a while, with roughly 4-5 orbs visible at any one time! They looked like they were only about half a mile away from her location over Duke's Drive Car Park and were lining up at an altitude of around 400 feet. Aerial map of Verdun Road (A) and Duke's Drive Car Park (B) Lisa was astounded at what was taking place. She was convinced that the orbs were appearing in response to her request. She did not attempt to record them on her smartphone as she says the camera on it at the time was not very good. Nor did she attempt to wake up Dave to come and see them. She felt that if she looked away or broke her concentration the orbs would disappear.   After about half an hour the orbs stopped appearing and those remaining in the sky vanished one by one. In the morning she mentioned what had happened to both Dave and her brother, but is not sure whether they really believed her.   Further Orb Sightings   Within weeks of the blue-white orbs Lisa had further sightings. On numerous separate nights she witnessed golden-white coloured orb sin the early hours of the morning. These orbs would move across the sky in an arc from right to left and would move a lot slower than meteorites would move at. As they moved they would tumble and wobble up and down.   Eventually they would be lost from sight behind other housing on her street. Lisa was convinced that they were linked to the blue-white orbs she had previously witnessed. In total she saw them about 5 different times.   Light Communication   In November Lisa read an article about a girl who had apparently managed to communicate with distant UFOs in the night sky by flashing a torch. She decided that she would try the same technique, so purchased a torch with a high powered beam.   One clear night she went and sat in a deckchair in the back garden. She saw numerous white star-like objects crossing the sky. To all intents and purposes they appeared to be satellites. However Lisa says that sometimes when she flashed the torch at them they appeared to respond by briefly growing in brightness. It was as if they were flashing back at her.   After this success she started to do the same on other nights. On one occasion she says that a particular white light appeared to respond numerous times over a period of 5-6 minutes. She also tried communicating in her mind, asking “If you’re there and not a satellite can you flash?”  Apparently on some occasions this was successful.   While some of these could potentially have been distant craft communicating with her, it is also possible that they were merely satellites rotating and catching the sun’s rays, causing them to briefly increase in brightness. This is extremely common, and if they happened to do this at the right time this could easily be interpreted as intentional communication. The one light which apparently did this multiple times over a number of minutes sounds particularly intriguing, but Lisa did not manage to capture this on camera so we only have her word to go on.   Sparkling Orb By 2021 Lisa and Dave had moved to their current house, still within Eccles (Road name provided but omitted for anonymity). At 2am on a night in March 2021 Lisa was in the bedroom again looking out of the window. All of a sudden a bright star-like orb entered the right of her vision. It appeared to be about 600 feet up. It moved on a straight course and headed towards her location.   As it moved she noted that it was surrounded by tiny sparkling lights. It appeared to be moving about 40 mph, much too slow for a meteorite. After about 5 minutes it moved over the roof of the house and was lost from sight.   On this particular occasion Lisa was upset. She had the feeling that the sighting occurred because of her frame of mind at the time, although there was nothing which proved this conclusively. Cluster of Lights   Around midnight in May 2021 Lisa was staring out of the living room window looking up at the stars. It was a very clear night. She noticed a cluster of small white points of light all together in the same patch of sky. They appeared to be at quite high altitude, at least a couple of thousand feet up.   The lights slowly moved on a straight path to the East. As they moved there was no drift, they all remained the same distance from one another like they were under intelligent control. After about 5 minutes they vanished into the distance. As with other previous sightings she did not attempt to capture them on camera as she felt they would not have come out on the footage.   There are a number of possible explanations for what Lisa witnessed on this occasion. While a formation of glowing craft cannot be ruled out, there is also the possibility that they were a cluster of balloons or even a flock of birds reflecting lights from the ground. However the lack of drift between the objects may point away from these explanations. Glowing Spheres Lisa continued to star gaze from the windows of her house but did not have any UFO sightings for a number of months. However, on a night in July at 11pm she was standing in the living room looking out of the window when she noticed two white lights to the South. One was situated above the other. The lights were travelling at around 50 mph towards her location. They seemed to be about 800 feet up, and appeared to be quite small in size.   Dave was in the room too so she called him over to the window to also see them. However it took him a while to get up because he has bad knees. Just before he got to the window they faded to black. They were still visible as small spherical silhouettes against the sky.   They watched the unlit spheres continue to approach. As they got to an angle of about 45 degrees in the sky they suddenly both vanished without trace.   Despite the fact that the spheres did not perform any advanced manoeuvres, this is still an intriguing sighting. They were the wrong colour for sky lanterns, which are more orange in colour. However, it is unlikely they were white LED balloons or distant drones as these would have no reason to suddenly switch off their lights, especially not at the same moment. And if they were initially still visible without lights on, why would they then suddenly disappear, especially if they were moving towards the property rather than away? There are certainly some odd aspects to this incident.   A Cloaked Craft?   On a clear and warm night in August 2021 Lisa was sitting outside on a chair with her pet cat looking up at the stars. In the early hours of the morning she suddenly saw an unusual object in the sky. It appeared to be nearly invisible, apart from a shimmering effect which reminded her of the cloaking camouflage employed by the alien beings known as Predators in the well-known sci-fi movie franchise.   Movie still of a cloaked Predator  The exact shape of the object could not be made out but it was moving at quite a fast speed. It traversed the sky in a number of seconds. As it reached the end of the road it suddenly performed a right angle turn to the left. A moment later it was lost from sight into the darkness.   Lisa was fascinated by what she had just witnessed. In the morning she informed Dave about what had taken place.   The fact that it moved on a controlled course and performed a sharp turn means that it certainly appeared to be an object of some kind rather than just heat haze caused by the high temperature at the time of the sighting.   Triangle of Orbs   Later the same month Lisa was staring at the sky from her bedroom window about 3-4am. Suddenly a glowing white orb appeared, seemingly materializing out of nowhere. It moved to the left before halting. A second orb then appeared. It moved the opposite direction before once again halting. Lastly a third orb appeared. This one moved upward then halted, creating a triangular formation.   Lisa shouted out at Dave to come and look, waking him from his sleep. It took him a number of minutes to stir and crawl out of bed. As he walked across the room towards then window, all three orbs suddenly faded away! Lisa pointed out the positions in the sky where they had been situated.   Due to the way in which they had vanished, Lisa felt sure that the orbs were under intelligent control and presenting themselves for her eyes only. I would agree that the movement of the objects on this occasion certainly suggested they were under control. It is fascinating that they all vanished at the same point just before Dave managed to reach the window. The Angel   The following month at around 3am on the morning of 17 th  September Lisa was once again sitting in the back garden attempting to communicate telepathically to prompt craft to appear.   Suddenly an unusual glowing white object entered the left side of her view. It looked like the shape of an angel, with a central body and two outstretched wings. It was not animated at all and was glowing white. Lisa says the glow coming from it was unusual, like it was self-luminescent.   The object moved on a straight course across the sky at quite a fast pace. As it moved the air around it appeared displaced in some way. It seemed to be a few thousand feet up. After about 5 minutes it was lost from sight in the distance.   The following day Lisa found out that her father’s best friend was dying of cancer. She wondered if what she had seen was not a craft but some kind of visual omen.   Conclusions   While Lisa has had many experiences, there are not many which directly confirm she has experienced contact. At the time of having the dream of the Nordic being coming to the door she had been looking into the contact subject, so it is possible that this was nothing more than a dream, a possibility that she directly suggested.   That said, she has had an astonishing number of UFO sightings, some of which have had very interesting aspects. Also she appears to have experienced many precognitive dreams, which are commonly reported by experiencers. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Year: 2021 Last Updated: 11/02/2026   Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used   In late February 2021 a lady who I shall call “Claire” got in touch via phone to discuss something unusual she had seen earlier in the month close to her house in Castle Bromwich. She informed me that what she had seen had been captured on her security camera. Unfortunately, despite stating that she would do so, she never managed to extract and send me this footage to analyse. Despite this I have captured this information to get it down on record.   Incident Details   Around 5am on the morning of Tuesday 2 nd  February 2021 Claire was awoken from her sleep by a horrendously loud grinding noise that sounded like metal scraping. A moment later the same sound happened a second time.   She got out of bed and peered out of the bedroom window. The view from this window overlooks the car park of Castle Bromwich Men’s Club just to the North. This was odd as it had been a very still night with no wind.   She then walked along the landing and peered out of another South facing window overlooking The Green. Near to the lamp post closest to her house she could see various white translucent shapes moving up and down. After watching them for a short while they seemed to fade away and vanish.   Photograph of the lamp post  Claire thought to herself “That’s weird!”  but assumed the shapes must have been light reflecting off the snow. It was still early so she decided to return to bed and go back off to sleep for a number of hours. Photograph showing the proximity of the lamp post to the house Later on after she got up she decided to check the footage recorded by the house’s security cameras. When she checked the South facing camera from about 2am she started to see the white shapes appear. They would congregate and seemingly move through one another near the base of the lamp post, then sometimes drift up and down it almost like they were gathering energy from it.   When she checked the North facing camera at around 5am she saw the bins and cones suddenly fly into the frame. Unfortunately, the camera was not angled sharply enough to see how they had got knocked over. She believes they were knocked over at the same time as the loud sounds she had heard.   Just over a week later on 10 th  February Claire noticed several workmen standing around the lamp post and chatting. They remained there for about 10 minutes before getting in their van and driving away.   Incident Analysis What Claire saw sounds quite intriguing and it is a shame that she did not send me the camera footage to examine. It is tempting to think that the white shapes she saw drifting around the lamp post were nothing more than light reflections bouncing off the snow, but surely if this was the case she would have seen them on previous occasions and they would not cause so much confusion? That said this explanation cannot be entirely ruled out. Another possibility is that they were insects attracted to the street light and glowing as they were caught in it.   The loud noises that she heard are also interesting, especially when paired with the bins and cones that were clearly knocked over around the same time. One possibility is that a vehicle had tried to reverse and maybe crashed into them or into the wall, knocking them over and making the metallic scraping sounds. Even if Claire had managed to send me the camera footage the cameras only record visual not audio, so we only have her word to go on.   It is unlikely that the presence of the workmen a week later around the lamp post had anything to do with what Claire saw previously, it is probable that this was just a coincidence and nothing more.   If Claire gets back in touch and sends the footage to me I will analyse it and add my findings to this report.   Copyright Dave Hodrien 2026

Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Year: 2020 Last Updated: 09/02/2026   Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used   In July 2020 “Steven” got in touch with me via phone to discuss various experiences he has had and his views on them.   Communion   In February 1987 American experiencer Whitley Strieber released the well known book “Communion”. The book went into his contact experiences in depth. At the time Steven was 16 years old.   He vividly remembers walking into a local book shop and seeing a rack covered in the book. On the cover of the book was one of the Grey beings which Whitley had previously encountered on numerous occasions. The rack was like a “wall of faces”.   Communion front cover  When Steven saw the books he immediately froze to the spot. Something immediately felt familiar to him, like a subconscious recognition. There was no memory of anything having actually taken place, but he had a very strong feeling that he knew these beings.   He stood there almost paralyzed for about 20 seconds. Eventually the shock at seeing the books subsided. He felt drawn to read the book to see whether that would shed some light on how he had reacted. This led to a general interest in the contact phenomenon.   It should be noted that Steven’s claims are far from individual. The cover of Communion is famous for triggering memories or general feelings of unease with experiencers.   Malevolent Presence   In 1996 Steven was in his final year at Portsmouth University and staying in a share house. Around this time of his life he suffered from sleep paralysis quite regularly. One night he had a particularly vivid and disturbing experience which felt quite different to usual.   He was in bed when he began became aware that he was asleep. As he became aware of this fact, he then started to feel the sense of an evil presence downstairs. He sensed this presence begin to come up the stairs and move along the landing. He then sensed the door to his bedroom opening and it enter the room. Next he felt the bed sheets over him start to lift. At this moment he jolted out of dream-state and woke completely up.   Immediately the sense of a presence vanished. He got out of bed and searched the house but there was nothing there. Eventually he calmed down and went back off to sleep. Looking back at the incident Steven believes that it may have been caused by a particularly upsetting lucid dream. He says that the previous evening he had been watching a documentary about a choir master who had committed some horrendous crimes. He believes that this documentary was weighing heavily on his mind, which manifested in this vivid dream. I agree that this is the most probable explanation for what happened.   Grey Visitation   By the spring of 1999 Steven had married and moved to Thailand. He shared a secluded wooden house with his wife, about 100 metres away from a main road.   One morning he woke up with an odd feeling that something had gone on in the night. Before he mentioned anything his wife turned to him and asked who the two little men were that had been there during the night.   Immediately a flashback of what had taken place came flooding back to him. He was standing next to the bed with a Grey standing at each of his sides. They looked identical to one another and were about 3.5 – 4 feet tall. He was staring down at his wife thinking to himself “What have you got yourself into being with me?”   He had no idea what happened after this point. It is very possible that he was taken but had the memories of this blanked out.   Turned Around   In late 2002 – early 2003 when he was 31 years old Steven arranged for a holiday to the UK. During this trip he visited his mother at her house in York. In the middle of the night he awoke for no apparent reason. He decided to get out of bed and walk around a while to settle back down. While pacing back and forth he decided to look out of the window.   Suddenly he saw a white light shine directly at him. He then felt like he briefly blacked out. He came around to find himself still standing up but facing the other direction. He had no idea of how long had gone on, at the time it felt near instantaneous.   Looking back at the incident he wonders if what happened was down to a medical issue, or whether he had been abducted before being put back the other way around with the memories removed. He did not think to check a clock at the time so has no way of knowing whether a longer period of time had passed or not.   Hyperconciousness   In 2007 Steven felt like he was having numerous contact experiences. He could not remember any details, but was just aware that something was going on, a feeling he refers to as “hyperconsciousness”. Sometimes he would try his best to recollect things, other times he would push these thoughts to the back of his mind and get on with his daily life.   As he could not remember any details around this time he does wonder if this was just paranoia brought on by things he was reading about the contact phenomenon rather than actual experiences he was having.   Bicycle Shed   The only other occasion Steven recalls anything odd going on was on another visit to his mother’s house in York. He had gone to sleep like normal. However, he then had a vivid memory of waking up to find himself standing in the pouring rain with no idea how he had got there.   He was standing down the end of the long back garden next to the bicycle shed. He did not recall walking back into the house and returning to his bed so is unsure whether this actually took place or was just a dream. All he knows is that in the morning there was no sign that he had been rained on in the night.   Conclusions   Steven’s most compelling incident was the Grey visitation that he remembered and which his wife also made mention of. The fact that she independently recollected seeing the beings next to him in the night means that this cannot have just been a vivid dream. This incident alone confirms that he is a contactee.   His other experiences are harder to verify, especially due to the fact that he has experienced sleep disorders such as sleep paralysis and lucid dreaming, and also the fact that he has looked into the contact phenomenon. While they may be related, some of them could have more mundane explanations.   Steven confirmed that his daughter has also had experiences including UFO sightings and paranormal activity. Birmingham UFO Group Case Report Author: Dave Hodrien Release Date: 29/08/2020 Last Updated: 31/08/2020 Note: For reasons of anonymity pseudonyms have been used Nathan first got in touch with me in May 2020 via our Facebook community page. He wanted to inform me about a number of unusual experiences which have taken place throughout his life. He now lives in Virginia, USA but earlier in his life lived in Nottingham, England. In speaking with him in depth via Skype he first discussed with me his career as an aircraft maintenance analyst for the military at numerous Air Force bases. We then went over his experiences, which have included contact-related incidents as well as fascinating UFO sightings. It also turned out that Nathan was a witness to the Phoenix Lights back in March 1997, one of the most famous and impressive UFO cases ever reported! Due to the magnitude of this revelation and its importance I have separated it out into a second report, the link for which can be found towards the end of this one. Nathan’s other experiences will be discussed below. White Orbs In his childhood Nathan lived with his parents in a large house at one end of Allington Avenue, Nottingham. At the time his brothers and sister all lived in Jamaica. Initially he would hear a very loud humming noise which would send vibrations through his body. The frequency of the sound would change rather than remain constant. It was very loud but his parents never talked about hearing it themselves. He’d then see a white light approach from an Easterly direction. His bedroom was at the front of the house, which gave him a view along Park Road. The light would always come from this direction and flood the room in brightness. Usually his curtains were partially closed but he’d see a glowing white orb through the gap, and the curtains weren’t thick enough to block out the light coming from it. You would have to pull the cord once to switch on the heater, which had a yellow glow to it. If you pulled it a second time the light would switch on. Whenever the orb appeared outside the light would go out and change back to its heater setting. Then this too would dim and switch off. It appeared that the orb was interfering with the electrics of it in some way. For some reason he knew that if this orb touched you it would control you, so he feared it. He would try to hide from it at the side of the window so it couldn’t see him. He would then run along the landing into his parent’s room and try to wake them up. When he did this the orb would follow and then be outside their bedroom window instead. Map of the upper floor of the house showing the white orb appearing outside the windows Nathan remembers on numerous occasions trying to wake them up by shaking them vigorously and talking to them but they would never wake, it was like they’d been switched off. However he says his dad was a heavy drinker so many on these occasions he was just sleeping really deeply, this cannot be fully put out of the question. When they didn’t wake he would hide alongside them under their blanket. This would be the last thing he would recall, when he next became aware he would always be waking up in his own room. It is of course possible that his parent’s would wake up before him, find him there and take him back to his bedroom without disturbing his sleep. Years later he asked his father about these experiences. He asked him "When I was a kid did you take me back to my room a lot?" His father replied that he recalled this happening on a couple of occasions. He also confirmed that on other occasions they had found him outside the house. The first time it happened his mother brought him back inside. When it happened a second time they locked him in his room at night as they thought he must be sleep walking. On one occasion when he was either 4 or 5 Nathan recalls being outside and running away from the white orb of light. He is unsure of whether this took place before or after his parents started locking the door to his room. He recalls running in a zig-zag motion along Allington Avenue to try and get away from the orb. Nathan remembers crouching down behind the front garden wall of the house adjacent to this alley to try and hide from the orb. He recalls being in another darkened location. The buzzing sound coming from the orb had now ceased. He was lying down on a raised table of some kind and was paralysed. Nothing appeared to be holding him down but he could not move. He is unsure whether he was unclothed or in his night clothes. There was a glowing white light positioned at a diagonal to him, providing the only light source in this place. Standing around him were a number of Greys, of course at this point in his life he did not recognise them as such. The Greys appeared to not be wearing any clothing apart from dark face masks which covered their mouths and chins. Their skin was very pale coloured, almost white, but with a blue-ish tone. They had large craniums, the one towards his feet particularly. Most of the beings had completely black eyes, however the one with the larger head had eyes with visible irises. These were still very large in size compared to human. Their noses were diminished and barely noticeable. The beings were staring at him, almost like doctors who had found something interesting. They began by staring at his face but then started to look down his body. It felt to him that he was in some kind of trouble and that he’d angered them in some way. It was as if he was being made to get into the position they wanted him to be in. When they checked his back, he felt himself being raised up. When they checked the back of his legs he felt those being lifted by an unseen force. At some moments he felt like he was almost entirely paralyzed, at other moments he felt he had more movement. At one point when it decreased in strength he actually got up off the table and started running around the room he was in. He does not recall seeing any furnishings or apparatus and it was very dark except for over by the table with the light over it. When he did this the beings did not give chase, instead he felt them telepathically command him to return to them. This was not like actual spoken words, it was more a feeling in his mind that he had to get back on the table. He remembers a glowing white light moving towards him and then being back on the table lying down again. Nathan has no idea of how long this experience went on for. His memories of it are fragmented. The next clear memory he has is of waking up in the morning in his own bed. After that experience he began to leave the heater off in his room, almost like it was in some way related to what had happened. On another occasion when he was either late 5 or early 6 years old Nathan recalls the orb coming for him while his parents were out at a party till the early hours of the morning. He consciously remembers getting out of bed and running out of his room onto the landing, with the white orb following after him (Nathan has drawn the white orb at the top of the stairs in the upstairs map which relates to this incident). His next memory is of being at the base of the stairs frightened and his mother then putting him back to bed. When he queried her about this incident years later she informed him that they’d come home at around 1am to find him at the base of the stairs screaming that the light was coming to get him. He had then passed out in front of them. Once his mother had brought him round she checked him over (she was a registered nurse) before taking him back upstairs. In total between the age of 4 and 6 Nathan remembers seeing the white orb about 7 times. After this the experiences seemed to stop. UFO Interception By the time he was 8 Nathan lived with his grandmother on Rolleston Drive, one road across from his previous address. He can’t remember exactly when the incident took place but he thinks it was around the spring of 1976, which would have made him 8 or 9 years old. Back then he had a friend named Karl from the local neighbourhood who he would regularly meet and play with. Aerial map of Rolleston Drive It was around 1-2pm on a pleasant by cold day. He and Karl were standing at the crossroads between Rolleston Drive and Galway Road and playing catch ball. Karl threw the ball really high and so he looked upwards to see if he could catch it. The first thing he noticed were some trainers which had been thrown over one of the telephone lines. But then beyond these in the distance through the gaps in the trees he saw a strange object in the sky. Photograph of the sighting location from where Nathan was standing The object was a curved triangular shape on one side but squared off on the other, similar to an iron. It had two distinct sections to it. The upper part of the object was a dark silvery-grey colour, not particularly shiny. However the bottom of it was glowing bright yellow-orange. It appeared to be about 10000 feet up and at least 5 miles away from their location. If it was this far, Nathan estimates it was about 60 feet across. Witness drawing of the UFO Nathan pointed it out to Karl asking “Do you see that?” Karl looked up and asked back “Wow, what is that?” The UFO hovered completely motionless in the sky. It appeared to be silent. They watched it for between 2-3 minutes trying to work out what it could be. Suddenly they noticed two military jets to the North West flying on a straight path directly towards where the object was located. Nathan thinks they may have been F4’s, but did not know this at the time. As they approached the UFO it suddenly accelerated and shot away to the South! In a brief moment it was lost from sight behind the housing. The jets changed course and flew off in the same direction, and were soon lost from sight. The boys were amazed at what they’d just seen. Karl exclaimed “I’m going to tell my mum!” Nathan responded “What are you going to tell her?” to which he replied “I’m going to tell her we saw this!” They both ran back to Karl’s house, where he excitedly told his mother about what they’d just witnessed. However they had recently watched the War Of The Worlds movie on television and she thought they were mistaken about what they’d seen because of this. Both Karl and Nathan were annoyed at her reaction to their sighting. They did not go back outside to see if the object returned as it was quite a cold day. At the time of the incident Nathan went to Cottismore High School (the school has since been demolished). Soon afterwards he was in the school library when he came across a book on the paranormal. When he looked through the book he came across a drawing of a UFO which was extremely similar to what he and Karl had witnessed. He showed it to his school friends but they just laughed at him. Out-Of-Body Experiences In December 1978 Nathan moved to the US with his mother. They settled in a house on East Tulpehocken Street in Philadelphia, New Jersey. Aerial map of East Tulpehocken Street One day he came home from school about 4pm. He wasn’t feeling very well so he told his mother then went to lie down on his bed. He believes he dropped off to sleep. Suddenly he became aware of a humming sound and felt pressure against the side of his face like he was being forced against something. He opened his eyes and was shocked to find himself pushed up against the ceiling of the room. Terrified at this revelation he immediately fell back downwards onto the sofa. Instinctively he jumped up off it but was not yet fully aware of his senses. He lost his balance and fell backwards straight through a glass coffee table which was alongside the bed! This wasn’t the only time this happened. On several other occasions during the same year Nathan began to feel pressure on his face and started hearing the humming noise again. Whenever this began happening he would get up and move around to get it to stop, as he was frightened of lifting up into the air again. The experience where Nathan found himself against the ceiling may not have had anything to do with contact. It is more probable that this was what is commonly referred to as an out-of-body experience, where you can seemingly separate from your physical body and your viewpoint drifts away from it. These experiences are often accompanied by strange sounds or other anomalies just as Nathan reports. On the later experiences it is possible he was sinking into a similar state but managed to pull himself out of it by getting up. Street Lights By 1984 Nathan was in his final year of studying at Temple University. One evening he was walking home with a friend. He started telling her about some of the unusual experiences which had happened previously in his life. They were walking East past the university parking lot on Cecil B. Moore Avenue when suddenly the street light on the path ahead of them went out. They continued walking and the next light then went out. This carried on, with each light going out as they approached it. Photograph of Cecil B Moore Avenue with some of the street lights visible Confused by what was causing the anomaly they reversed their steps and as they did the lights came back on in sequence. They turned back round and started walking again. Once more the lights started going off as they got near to them. This continued even when they turned right and started walking along North 12th Street. She was concerned and started asking him what he was doing to cause the lights to switch off. He simply responded “How to I know it’s not you doing this?” The anomaly continued for a short while after then suddenly stopped and the lights remained constantly on. It was as if for a short period of time he was putting our some kind of energy which interfered with the electrics in his locality, although it was of course impossible to prove that this had actually taken place. I have investigated other contact cases where exactly the same phenomenon has been reported. It is almost like the individual is temporarily surrounded by an energy field which interferes with nearby electrical objects. Glowing Blue Humanoid The following year Nathan joined the military. He was taken on as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist at KI Sawyer Air Force Base in Upper Michigan (The base is no longer active). He would be required to stay on the base for a week at a time. During nights on the base he would sleep in a dormitory. Initially he slept in a shared room, but after several years had a high enough rank to be given his own room. Aerial map of KI Sawyer Air Force Base In the spring of 1988 Nathan started dating a girl named Sarah. As a sign of her affection for him she gave him her gold coloured High School graduation ring. Nathan put it on the dog tags around his neck for safe keeping. Photograph of a ring reminiscent of the one received One night Sarah came to the base to stay overnight at the dormitory. Nathan’s room was about 12 foot wide with a low ceiling of about 7 feet. The room came with a bunk bed, but he had taken off the top bunk. Aerial map of part of the base indicating the dormitory building Nathan slept in Photograph of the dormitory with the window of Nathan’s room indicated In the middle of the night Nathan suddenly heard Sarah exclaim “Nathan what’s that?” He opened his eyes and immediately saw what she was referring to. Floating across the room from them there was what appeared to be a blue coloured glowing humanoid figure. He could see it fully, but the lower half was less clearly defined than the upper half. The entity appeared to be unclothed. It had a slender build and was about 5 feet in height. It had normal looking human eyes, but no nose, mouth or ears were visible. It did not appear to have genitalia. Nathan did not notice any fingers, but in its left hand it was holding an object of some kind. Sarah was shaking in fear and repeated the question, “What is that?” For an unknown reason Nathan replied “Shut up and go back to sleep!” He does not know why he reacted to the situation in this way, it was completely out of character for him. It was like he was unconcerned about the strange figure hovering in the air across the room from them. He settled back down and tried getting back to sleep, but then felt Sarah get out of bed. He opened his eyes again and watched her approach the figure. Suddenly there was a bright electrical flash and she got thrown backwards back onto the bed next to him. Nathan asked her “What are you doing?” Quite clearly disturbed by what was taking place she said “Take me home now!” But again Nathan just told her to go back off to sleep. He dropped back off leaving her awake and terrified next to him. He is unsure about what happened to the figure. In the morning when he awoke she was still there. She had sat up awake all night because of what had taken place. The first thing she asked him was “Are you into some kind of voodoo or craziness?” She clearly assumed that Nathan was something to do with what had occurred. He simply responded “No.” She responded saying “Take me home, we’re through, I don’t want to see you anymore.” Nathan asked “What are you talking about?” to which she replied “You know what happened last night.” She was obviously waiting for Nathan to explain what had occurred, but of course he could not. Nathan agreed to drive her back home. When they arrived at her house she again repeated “If you’re not going to tell me what happened last night we’re through.” Nathan just said “I don’t know.” She said “We’re done, give me my ring back.” When Nathan went to get the ring back off the dog tags around his neck he found it was missing. He explained to Sarah that he didn’t know where it was. She thought he wanted to keep it to remember her by and began to get angry with him saying “I know you love me but I can’t deal with this. I want my ring back!” Nathan thought he might be able to go to the High School website and order a replacement ring without her knowing, so simply agreed that he would get it back for her. However when he got in contact with the High School she had attended they said that they could not sell him another replacement ring as he had not attended the High School himself. About a year went by during which Nathan and Sarah did not speak. Then one day he got a phone call from her. It soon became apparent that she had not forgotten the night at the base. She said “I miss you. I want you back. But before you take me back I want to know what happened that night.” Nathan informed her that he did not have an answer for what took place. She then changed topic, informing him that he had still not given her back her ring. Nathan once again agreed to get it back for her. Soon after the chat Nathan decided that he would contact KI Sawyer Air Force Base just to see if someone there had found it and handed it in to lost property. He thought this chance was remote but it was about the only chance he had left of finding the ring. Someone picked up the phone and Nathan explained the situation and described what the ring looked like. Immediately the person on the phone exclaimed “You’re bullshitting me right?” Nathan responded saying “No, I lost it a year ago.” He was then put in touch with the Sergeant who simply said “I need you to come here right now!” Nathan honoured the Sergeant’s request and drove out to the base. On arrival the Sergeant said “So you’re telling us you lost a ring about a year ago?” Nathan again explained that it was his girlfriend’s ring and he lost it. The Sergeant then held up something asking “Does it look like this?” There in his hand was the missing ring! “Yes, that’s it!” exclaimed Nathan, “Where did you find it?” There was an airman present who then spoke up. He explained that about 30 minutes before Nathan had called the base he had been walking outside in the snow when he stepped on something which felt like a solid lump. He checked where he was standing and found the ring! The Sergeant then asked “You’re trying to tell us you lost this ring a year ago and we just found it half an hour ago?” Nathan simply responded saying that he said it like it was. They then handed the ring back to him. Soon afterwards he was able to re-unite the ring with its rightful owner. She thought Nathan had hidden it from her on purpose in order to see her again and suggested that he should take her back. But he refused saying it was over. Many years later in 2009 Sarah contacted Nathan via phone after finding out his number. She informed him that she had been having repeated strange dreams about the blue man they had witnessed on the base. However she said she would only tell him what she had found out he would have to travel out and visit her. Nathan was not interested in getting back with her so left things. He never found out what Sarah may have known, and the incident at the military base remains a fascinating mystery. It is clear that there was something present in the room as it was witnessed by both Nathan and Sarah. Could the blue humanoid have been an ET being of some kind, perhaps linked with Nathan’s previous contact experiences? It had some similarities with a Grey, such as the slender build and lack of facial features and genitalia. However other aspects of it such as its general body shape and eyes were more human-like. I have investigated a number of other cases where blue-skinned humanoid beings have been seen. Another possibility is that the military base was haunted, and this was a supernatural manifestation. Nathan says its legs were less distinct than the torso, suggesting an apparition of some kind. We may never know for sure. The being which Nathan and Sarah witnessed sounds somewhat reminiscent of Dr Manhattan from the super hero graphic novel Watchmen, released in 1986. Below is a still of the character from the movie adaptation which came out in 2009. The similarities are plain to see, however I do not believe that Nathan has fabricated the story based on this character. The manner in which the ring was found is very interesting. Due to the odds involved, some may feel that there was a paranormal element to this, but it could just be an extra-ordinary coincidence that the ring was found on the base shortly before Nathan rang them back up. An Apology From 1993 Nathan was stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. By now he had married his second wife Gemma, and was living with her in her apartment. Aerial map of Kirtland AFB One day in the spring of 1995 he and Gemma had an argument. After it was over and they had calmed down Nathan suggested that they should just sit down and watch TV together. However Gemma was still upset and told him she was going to go lie down in bed a while. About 90 minutes later she came back into the living room, kissed Nathan and said “Thank you for that.” Confused by this Nathan asked “For what?” “Well, you know.” Gemma said. “No I don’t know", he responded. Gemma then told him that after she went and lay down she felt Nathan lie down on the bed behind her, begin stroking her hair and tell her that everything was going to be ok. Nathan insisted that he had remained in the living room the whole time. It is possible that Gemma had dropped off and this was nothing more than a vivid dream, but Nathan wonders whether there was more to it than that due to his other experiences. Premonition In 1996 one of his friends on the base who he had informed of his experiences suggested they should both go and visit a psychic out of interest. Nathan didn’t know what to expect from this but agreed to go along. The psychic told him several things. She first said that he needed to go to Australia, as there was something there which he needed to see. She then told Nathan that he had the same gift as her, and asked him how many out-of-body experiences he had had. Thinking his friend had informed the psychic beforehand he turned and looked at him, but his friend denied having done so. The psychic then told Nathan he needed to go and visit his grandmother, who still lived in Nottingham. Heeding the psychic’s advice, Nathan decided he would visit the UK to catch up with his grandmother and other family members. A short time before he was set to travel he was exiting the shower when he suddenly got hit by what felt like a bolt of electricity. Nathan immediately knew that his mother had passed away. He just looked at Gemma and exclaimed “My mother, she’s dead.” She asked him “How do you know that?” to which he responded “I know, I feel it. I’m telling you she’s dead.” Nathan tried calling his mother over in England but she did not pick up. He spoke with his sisters but they did not initially believe him. However he soon found out that he was correct – his mother had experienced a seizure and hit her head in the fall. Several days later Nathan was across in the UK. Everyone questioned him, wondering how he had known that she had died. To this day Nathan has no clear answer for this. However it is very common for contactees to have one or more psychic abilities, and premonitions are regularly reported when I investigate cases. Phoenix Lights As mentioned at the start of this report, Nathan unwittingly became one of hundreds of witnesses of the Phoenix Lights in March 1997 while stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base near to Phoenix, Arizona. Due to the significance of this incident and for ease of searching this has been split out into a separate report which you can access here Conclusion Nathan has had some truly fascinating and varied experiences, some of which have close links with contact, while others may be encounters of a paranormal nature. He has personally shared with me evidence of his military background. This cannot be shared here to preserve anonymity, but I have no suspicions relating to his authenticity as a witness. The white orb which he saw numerous times in his childhood was clearly contact related, as it lead to his abduction recollection as well as numerous periods of missing time. It is unknown if his other UFO sightings were a result of these experiences or not. It seems that in some cases, including the Phoenix Lights, he just happened to be at the right place at the right time. These incidents have lead Nathan to have a true fascination with the subject. He seeks answers to what has happened to him, and is also interested in working on software which will help collaborate sightings and monitor them in an organised way.
