Summer 2010 – Marston – Moved Vehicle, Possible Missing Time
Birmingham UFO Group Case Report

Release Date: 27/10/2026
In August 2025 I was contacted on Facebook Messenger by an elderly lady named Jacqui Dixon. She wanted to report an unusual incident which happened to her back in 2010 while travelling in a car. I arranged a Facebook Messenger chat with her to go over what took place.
Incident Details
Jacqui lives in Berwick-Upon-Tweed on the North East coast of England. In the summer of 2010 when she was 55 years old she and her eldest sister Linda travelled down in their Mercedes to pick up their mother who lived in Shard End, Birmingham.

It was the early hours of the morning and very clear weather. They had completed the majority of their journey and were driving South West along the M42, roughly between the Belfry Golf Course to their West and Marston to their East. Due to the time of morning there were no other vehicles on the road.

There was some road works going on at the time so there was a line of cones blocking off the hard shoulder.
Suddenly Jacqui found herself driving along a dirt track on a field at exactly the same speed she’d been a moment ago and absolutely no idea how she had got there! The track was very rural, with ruts in it and a line grass in middle. It was running along the edge of a field which spanned out to the left of the car. To the right was a bank of soil.
She drove forward along the track and after about 100-150 yards reached the edge of an unknown road. She turned left onto it and continued driving and soon came across a sign for The Belfry golf course, so was clearly still in the local area. Soon they reached a junction which allowed them to re-join the M42 and get back on track.
Jacqui was of course extremely confused about what had taken place. There was no sign that the car had collided with anything. It was dry weather conditions so she cannot have skidded on surface water. She did not feel tired so did not believe she had fallen asleep at the wheel, and even if she had she would not have travelled so far off the road, and would very likely have been facing away from it not towards it, and logically the track would have led back to the M42 not a different road.
She exclaimed to her sister in the passenger seat “How did we get here?” Her sister just laughed and replied “I don’t know!” She seemed un-phased by what had just taken place, and clearly also had no memory of the vehicle leaving the road.
They completed the remainder of their journey. Upon arrival Jacqui informed her mother about what had taken place. She also checked the vehicle for any signs of damage, but there was none.
Incident Analysis
This is a bizarre incident, which Jacqui believes may be contact related. Even though there was no sign of any missing time, she wonders if there had been a small amount which she and her sister had not noticed. She is interested in going for a regression to see if any further details are remembered, but to my knowledge this has not yet taken place.
As Jacqui said, if the vehicle had skidded off the road through the line of cones, and both Jacqui and her sister had possibly blocked out the memory of this due to the shock, the car would have still been relatively close to the edge of the road. It was as if it had been transported to a completely different position in the local area, still moving at the same speed it had been at.
I have investigated other cases where exactly the same thing has occurred. Even though there was no sign of any UFO activity or other side effects there is the possibility that the vehicle and its occupants were abducted, then placed back down in a nearby location.
Unfortunately, Jacqui cannot recall the precise position where she re-joined the road. There are many dirt tracks in the surrounding fields but they appear to be separated from the roads by hedgerows, trees or raised banks. Obviously the track she was on must have been one which led directly back onto a road close to the M42.
Because of this lack of clarity the theory that Jacqui may have fallen asleep at the wheel, turned the car and driven onto a field cannot be entirely ruled out, no matter how improbable that sounds. If so she would have ended up facing away from the M42, and potentially facing towards another adjoining road. Maybe her sister was also asleep or it happened so fast that she was unaware of what had happened.
Sadly, Linda and Jacqui’s mother have both passed away so I am unable to speak with them about their recollection of the incident, but I have no reason to doubt what Jacqui says took place. The very fact that she is actively looking to be regressed highlights how much of an impact it has had on her. If she goes for this regression and gets back in touch this report may be updated in the future.
