Introduction

On 17th-18th October 2026 I visited York for Lost Soul Paracon which I was invited to speak at. I gave my talk on the missing time phenomenon. After the talk I was approached by a lady named Jeni Church. She informed me that elements of my lecture had really struck home with her and got her thinking about a couple of incidents from her past.

She briefly discussed these with me at the conference, but later in the same month I arranged a follow on call via Facebook Messenger to discuss everything in depth.

An Extended Journey

Jeni believes this incident happened in June 2006. Back then she was living in Paphos, Cyprus. She worked in a pub called The Full Moon (Now replaced with the Full Moon Snack Bar) on Agapinoros.

At the time Jeni stayed in an a room at the Ikarios Hotel on Agiou Ilarionos. The hotel was not open to the public. However, a friend put her in touch with the owners, two ladies named Donna and Janet. She arranged with them to specially rent and live in one of the rooms. The hotel has since been knocked down.

On the day of the incident Jeni’s shift at the pub ended at 4pm. She walked back to the hotel and had a siesta for a while as it was a very warm day.

The owners tended to lock up the hotel between 8-9pm so came and asked her what her plans were. She informed Donna that at 9pm she planned to get on her moped and visit her girlfriend at the time, Sylvia, who lived in an apartment on Kilkis. Donna also owned a moped. They had them parked in the usual place – the basement of the hotel.

When it was 9pm Jeni met up with Donna and they both headed down to the basement and set off on their mopeds. By this time the sun had fully set. It was a very pleasant, still and warm evening.

Sylvia lived North East of her location. However before travelling to her apartment, Jeni planned to pick up a few drinks from the local Petriptero convenience store. Because of this she headed South instead of North alongside Donna. At the end of the road, Donna turned left to drive back to her own house, whereas Jeni turned right to drive to the convenience store.

She parked up her moped outside. As she got off it she felt a little unusual but had no idea why. She entered the store to buy the drinks. The building the store used to be at is now an eatery named To Eklekton Cypriot Corner.

There was nobody else in the store, so it only took her a few minutes to purchase the drinks. When she exited the shop she suddenly had a feeling of deep emptiness and felt really uncomfortable like she was being watched.

Not wanting to stay in the vicinity any longer than necessary she swiftly got back on her moped and began the journey to Sylvia’s apartment. The route took her North along Agapinoros, right past The Full Moon.

It was a very quiet evening with not many other vehicles or pedestrians around. As she drove past the pub she heard the sound of someone singing karaoke extremely badly which made her chuckle to herself.

She continued along the rest of the route, before parking up outside the apartment block.

Sylvia was aware that Jeni was on her way over, so Jeni expected her to be waiting for her at the door to let her in. However, she found that she was not there. She went over and pressed the buzzer. Sylvia unlocked the door for her.

She went upstairs to the apartment. When she got there the front door was open. She went into the living room. Sylvia was sitting down on the sofa. Immediately she asked her “Where have you been?” Jeni replied “I went to go and get Smirnoff Ice, sorry I didn’t leave until nine.” Sylvia responded more sharply “No. Where have you been?”

Jeni once again informed her that she had briefly stopped at the convenience store to get drinks, and then asked her what her problem was. Sylvia asked her “What time is it?” Mystified by her question Jeni replied “About 9.15 to 9.30?” Once again Sylvia asked what the time was. Getting irate, Jeni exclaimed “I don’t bloody know, you check the time!”

Sylvia picked up the TV remote control and switched to Teletext channel. Jeni looked at the screen. The digital clock confirmed that the time was 11.15pm. Highly confused, she sat down on the sofa next to Sylvia. She asked her “Who did you stop to talk to?” Jeni replied “I didn’t!” Sylvia continued, asking her where she had been. Jeni once again confirmed that she hadn’t stopped anywhere else.

The reality of what had taken place began to sink in. Both her and Sylvia sat there trying to work out what had taken place. Jeni tried to piece together the steps of her journey. She messaged Donna via her mobile phone. Donna confirmed that they had indeed left the hotel at 9pm (Sadly Jeni has mislaid this old phone so cannot retrieve the message).

Jeni knew that it was only one minute’s drive between the hotel and the convenience store.

She knew that she had only been in the store a few minutes, and that the journey time between the store and the pub was only a couple of minutes.

Jeni thought back to the fact that she had heard someone singing karaoke as she drove past the front of the bar. Upon doing so she realised that this was an anomaly. She knew that karaoke always started at 10pm. Taking into account the journey time, it should not have even started for another 55 minutes!

She was also aware that the remainder of the journey time to Sylvia’s apartment from the location of the pub would take around 8 minutes.

It should be noted that in the above map the estimated drive time for the route states 11 minutes not 8 because it includes a short section of moderately busy traffic. This traffic would not have been present late evening.

In total the journey time between setting off from the hotel and arriving at the apartment should have taken approximately 15 minutes. There was around 2 hours of time that Jeni could not account for! She was shocked at what had taken place. After a while she decided to call her mother back in England and inform her of what had happened.

This is a truly fascinating missing time experience, and one which cannot be easily explained in mundane terms.

Jeni could not have set off from the hotel later than 9pm, as this was the latest the hotel owners would lock up the building. Donna confirmed to her via text message that this was indeed the time they had departed. Even if both Jeni and Donna were somehow mistaken, and it was in fact 11pm not 9pm, then the convenience store would no longer have been open, and Jeni would not have been able to purchase drinks from it.

She cannot have suddenly fainted and collapsed on the floor for two hours outside of the shop, as when she came around she would surely have realized this had happened. Jeni feels certain that she left the shop and immediately got back onto her moped and began her ride to the apartment.

It was late evening and the streets were quiet, so the extended duration of the journey cannot be put down to traffic (It would obviously require some extensive queues to cause the journey to take so long).

We also know that the karaoke was on at the pub when she drove past it, and this would not have started until 10pm. Jeni informed me that the manager of the Full Moon Bar was extremely strict at timekeeping and would definitely have not started it prior to this time.

Sylvia’s reaction upon her arrival confirmed that something was very wrong, and the confirmation of the time on Teletext, which is always accurate, also confirmed beyond doubt that Jeni had arrived there two hours later than she should have.

Jeni is no longer in touch with Sylvia so I am unable to speak with her for a statement. However, at my request Jeni did reach out to her mother on Whatsapp to ask her what she remembered about that night. Below are some screen grabs of the conversation received on 6nd November 2026:

I feel that looking at everything which took place there is the possibility that Jeni was abducted for a couple of hours and had the memories completely blocked out from her mind. Although a craft or beings were not seen, there was the unusual sensation that she felt around the outside of the convenience store both prior to entering and after coming back out.

She informed me that this was highly unusual, as it was a safe neighbourhood that she was extremely familiar with. There is the possibility that she was sensing the presence of a waiting craft in the vicinity.

If this is indeed what happened then it most probably took place while she was riding between the convenience store and the bar, travelling North along Agapinoros.

If my theory is correct, then this would explain why she was able to get drinks from the store, but then heard karaoke singing when she rode past the bar. I have investigated other cases where extremely similar incidents have taken place. It is believed by myself, and many other contact researchers, that the beings involved in contact have the ability to take people while on or inside vehicles, and then return them still in motion at the same speed they were previously travelling at.

At present Jeni has no memories of what took place during those two lost hours. In the future she may begin to recollect them, or may even decide to be regressed and attempt to retrieve them.

White Flashes

By 2008 Jeni had moved to a house with a rooftop garden terrace a couple of streets away from Icarious Hotel. She had placed two sun loungers in the terrace which she would regularly lie on to gaze up at the stars.

In late July her friend Andrew came over to Cyprus to visit. He arrived around 6pm. They went and purchased a bottle of wine, and then headed up to the terrace to catch up. As the sun set the stars began to appear. It was a very clear, still and warm night. They relaxed on the sun loungers looking at the stars as they chatted over a glass.

Around 10pm there was a sudden extremely bright and silent flash of white light in the sky. It appeared almost directly in front of them at an elevation of 45-50 degrees. The flash had definitely been localised to a particular part of the sky, as opposed to covering the whole area.

Jeni immediately exclaimed “Jesus! Did you see that?” Andrew replied “Yeah.” She asked “What was it?” Andrew was as mystified as she was and replied “No idea!”

About 5 seconds later there was another flash. However, it appeared in a completely different part of the sky, rather than from the same location as the first. Over the coming seconds there were a further three flashes, each time from a different position.

What made this seem so unusual was the fact that it was a clear night. There were no clouds and so no chance of this being lightning from stormy weather. Both Jeni and Andrew had goose bumps. Andrew exclaimed “Can I go inside now? I’m scared!” Jeni fully agreed, saying “Absolutely!” They went back inside the house and so did not see if there were any further flashes.

This is an intriguing incident. It was a clear night so sheet lightning seems improbable. Rotating satellites can sometime intermittently flash white as they turn and catch the sunlight. However, this would have resulted in the flashes appearing on a straight course, probably at a regular frequency. The flashes that were witnessed occurred in different positions and not regularly, although they all clearly appeared within the space of a minute.

A meteorite travelling directly towards the location of the observer can look like a brief white flash. The only mundane explanation which I cannot entirely rule out is that of a meteorite shower, with each of the meteorites happening to be travelling towards the witnesses. However, this seems quite unlikely.

Jeni has attempted to reach out to Andrew on Facebook Messenger to see what he recollects about the incident, but sadly he has not yet got back in touch.

Further Missing Time?

On 21st September 2008 Jeni’s friend Vasana (“Vasso”) took her, Sylvia and another friend Liana to Eleftheria Stadium in Nicosia to watch a music gig by DJ Tiesto. Throughout the evening the girls had quite a few drinks, but Vasso remained sober to be able to drive them back to Paphos at the end of the night.

It was the early hours of the morning and they were driving back home along the main roads which lie between the cities – initially South then West along the A1, then West along the A6.

As you can see from the above map the drive home was supposed to take around 1 hour 44 minutes. However, the drive seemed to go on for far too long. This sensation was felt by everyone in the vehicle, including the driver, so cannot have been down to alcohol. Jeni says it felt like the journey was taking forever, despite them being familiar with the route. At one point they stopped to use the loo, and everyone discussed why they appeared to be nowhere near home.

Eventually they did get back to Paphos and Vasso dropped everyone off at their homes. Sadly Jeni (nor to her knowledge anyone else) checked a clock on arrival to confirm exactly what the time was, so we have no way of knowing for definite whether they experienced any missing time.

During my investigation of her case, Jeni got in touch with Vasso via Facebook Messenger to ask what she recollected about the journey home. Here is a screen grab of the conversation:

Unlike what occurred in 2006 there is not much definitive proof that missing time occurred on this occasion. However, the incident was unusual enough to have left a lasting impression on both Jeni and Vasso.

Lost In Rendlesham Forest

By 2026 Jeni was back in the UK, and working as a fork lift truck driving instructor. Between 5th-8th May she was invited down to Martlesham Heath, Ipswich to train a driver. Below is a screen grab of her contract with certain information redacted for privacy reasons:

Jeni has an interest in the UFO subject so was well aware of the Rendlesham Forest Incident, a series of UFO related events that took place in December 1980.

On the afternoon of 7th May she had a number of hours free. Martlesham Heath lies only 5 miles South West of the forest.

She decided to drive to Rendlesham Forest to explore the UFO Trail, a marked walk which leads to various points in the forest where activity took place. It was a warm, still and sunny afternoon.

She parked at the forest car park and set off along the trail, stopping for a while at the infamous model of the triangular craft witnessed by Jim Penniston and John Burroughs. After taking some photos she continued on her way. She passed a couple of other walkers, but the forest was quite quiet.

South of the clearing with the model she came to a turn in the path, but instead of turning right to continue walking the trail she accidentally turned left. She walked along a short path before coming up against a fence beyond which was an open farmer’s field.

At this point everything became eerily quiet. There had been a light breeze blowing but this now seemed to cease. Feeling a little un-nerved and realising she had probably taken a wrong turn, she checked the position of her car on Google Maps. When she did this she saw she had turned the wrong way on the path, so promptly turned around and headed back the way she had came. Soon she re-joined the trail and continued her walk without any further issues.

Later on she was intrigued where she had ended up. Upon checking online she found that she had been standing at the edge of Capel Green on the Eastern edge of the forest. This was the location where a second craft landing took place, one of the most fascinating incidents of the entire series of events! She thought back to how strange she had felt standing there, and the un-natural quietness.

While the forest has been known for unusual activity ever since 1980 (I have personally investigated numerous sightings of both UFOs and apparitions in the vicinity), it was probably just coincidence that Jeni ended up standing alongside Capel Green, and the quietness she experienced was probably just down to the area being more sheltered than elsewhere up against the fence line and heavier vegetation. I have decided to mention it in this report just for interest and it's links with the subject.

Conclusions

Jeni has had some very interesting experiences, the most fascinating being her apparent missing time while riding her moped to Sylvia’s apartment. Although no UFO was seen at this time, there are various aspects which confirm that Jeni arrived at the apartment two hours later than she should have. The idea that this was down to an abduction which she currently has no memory of cannot be disregarded.

While the second incident on the way home from Nicosia has less evidence supporting it, there is the possibility that this again involved missing time. The sighting of the white flashes is an intriguing incident, although as stated may have possibly been caused by meteorites entering the atmosphere.

I would like to thank Jeni for allowing me to get her experiences down on official record, and her efforts in reaching out to other witnesses for additional statements. I hope that she keeps in touch regarding anything else that occurs going forward.
