Popular perceptions of UFOs have shifted dramatically since 2017, when the Pentagon effectively confirmed the reality of what it calls ‘UAPs’ (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena). Since then, American news media have had no choice but to engage more seriously with the phenomenon, and the subject is now fast becoming legitimized in official culture. 

Are we really witnessing the long-heralded ‘Disclosure’ that UFOlogists have been waiting for, or are recent developments simply the next stage in a sophisticated campaign of perception management of the UFO enigma? In this re-scheduled talk, Robbie Graham attempts to make sense of the rapidly unfolding UAP narrative, examining statements by some of the key figures shaping the UAP debate today within a rich historical context of UFO disinformation and psychological warfare efforts.

Robbie will also tackle the thorny question of what the phenomenon itself actually represents. Is it truly extraterrestrial in nature, or could it be so  bizarre as to be beyond human understanding?
