Rendlesham Forest Camping Trip 2024

Rendlesham Forest in Suffolk is one of the most well known locations in the UK linked with the world of Ufology. In December 1980 a huge UFO incident involving many military and civilian witnesses took place in the area over a number of days. It has become known as one of the most impressive UFO/UAP events the world has ever seen, and is widely debated to this day. Many people have reported on-going activity in the vicinity, making it the perfect place for a visit!  Back in 2018 for our 10th anniversary Birmingham UFO Group arranged  a weekend camping trip to the forest, which was widely attended and went down a storm. We figured it was time we did it again!

This time we will be joined by U.P.R.I.S.I.N.G. UFO and Paranormal Investigation group.  Unfortunately the campsite situated inside the forest itself is currently closed (with no guarantee of re-opening) so we have been forced to make alternative arrangements. After careful consideration of dates and other camping options in the local vicinity we have decided that the trip will take place on Friday 31st May to Sunday 2nd June at a reasonably priced campsite near to the edge of the forest.

We will be arriving  in various groups on the afternoon/evening of Friday 31st May, and will spend this first evening chatting and holding a sky watch at the campsite itself.

We will spend the Saturday morning relaxing. There will be a lunch time group BBQ, you are welcome to bring along some food for it if you wish. After lunch we will drive in convoy to the forest itself, park up and follow the official UFO Trail. Later on there will then be a break for dinner. Some of us may drive into Woodbridge for food, alternatively you can eat back at the campsite if you wish. We will then return to the forest for an after-dark exploration and sky watch. This will go on until the early hours of the morning (weather permitting). although if you've got your own vehicle there you are free to return to camp whenever you wish.

On Sunday morning we will pack up our camping gear and depart from the site by mid-day. There may be other activities plannned in due course, if so these will be added to this event and announced on our Facebook pages.

How To Book:

You are welcome to attend the camping trip whether you are part of Birmingham UFO Group, U.P.R.I.S.I.N.G. UFO & Paranormal, or have never got involved with either group before. Animals and children welcome (Dogs must be kept on a lead)
