About the event

Due to worldwide events over recent years it's been a good while since we've decided to put on a sky watch. But now that our meetings are back up and running, and the BUFOG community is once again well and truly active, we've decided it's time to get back out under the stars...

This time around we'll be joining forces with our friends and affiliates UPRISING! If you're unfamiliar with UPRISING, they are a relatively new UFO & paranomal community, managed by Birmingham UFO Group regulars Nathan and Luna Lockley. You are more than welcome to attend whether you are part of either group, or have never met any of us before!

Unlike previous BUFOG sky watches we'll be heading straight to the location this time around. We plan to initially meet up at Aspen Car Park, Brockton, Cannock, WS12 4PT at 8.00 pm. Due to the time of year it will still be light on arrival. We will then walk a short distance (300 feet) along the gravel path which leads off to the South East from the car park. This will be our base of operations for the watch. There are open fields either side of the path giving a wonderful view of the sky.

The sky watch location is very close to the borders of Cannock Chase German Military Cemetery, where ghostly soldiers have reportedly been seen on numerous occassions, bringing a potentially paranormal edge to the event! The cemetery itself will be locked up, but we will definately take a walk around its edges at some point.

We will be bringing along some treats for everyone, but you are more than welcome to bring along other snacks and drinks too. BBQs and bonfires are not permitted in the area. It is recommended that you wrap up warm. Hopefully the weather will be on our side. As the sun will set soon after the watch begins a torch is also recommended, as are binoculars/camera equipment if you have them. You may wish to bring along a camping chair to sit on as there are no benches at the location. Kids and pets most welcome! We aim to remain at the location until at least 1.00 am, depending on the weather. If you need to leave earlier that's absolutely fine.

With both BUFOG and UPRISING combined on this one it's bound to be a fun and social sky watch. If you have any questions please contact Dave on 07990576577 or birminghamufogroup@gmail.com.
